3: What are Rook's first impressions of Sola?

Feyran: Feyran is both wary and fascinated by Solas. wary because he is the Dreadwolf afterall know for lies, betrayal and treachery. He wouldn't trust Solas as far as he could throw him, especially with knowing all he has done and will do from Varric. However, that doesnt stop the fact that so much can be learnt from Solas, so much knowledge stored in his head, so much history lost to time alive in his head.

Adren: Adren hates Solas, he can and will be civil with Solas they need his co-operation. But Adren can't help but blame Solas for all the pain he has caused, directly and indirectly. Adren wants to punch Solas in his stupid ass face.

5. Who does Rook romance? What was the moment that sparked their interest?

Feyran: He romances Emmerich. It was impossible for Feyran not to fall for the handsome necromancy professor. Feyran had already heard so much about the older from other's in the Necropolis, never having met him though. It might not have been love at first sight, (tbf there was a LOT going on), but every conversation with the other necromancer just drew Feyran in. Speaking to someone with shared experiences especially in the middle of all of this was a comfort.

Feyran's real oh moment though, the moment Feyran knew oh he was in love, like really in Love. Came during a trip to the Necropolis, it was just a standard visit to check in with Myrna and Vorgoth, make sure nothing was going awry. Emmerich had gotten caught up in conversation with another Mortalitasi, and Rook had stood to watch. He looked simply divine in the low lighting of the Necropolis, it was beautiful the way Emmerich lit up discussing his passion. Feyran was in love.

There it was, the truth hammering away in his heart. He didn't know when but here he had fallen.

Adren: He romances Lucanis. When he first heard he was meant to recurit the demon of Vyrantium Adren was not the most pleased. The Demon had taken out an impressive amount of Venatori mages single handily, it would be quite an achievement if so many of his contracts hadn't screwed with plans the Shadow Dragons had, had in place for months. So Adren's first thought on Lucanis was less than stellar.

Then he actually met Lucanis, and well Adren isn't blind. He was hot, really hot. So of course the first thing that falls from Adren's lips is him stumbling through essentially saying 'you've got demons' like no shit, pretty sure he's aware of that one. If Adren hadn't been needed to lead the team against the gods he probably would have just crawled into a hole and died.

Adren's true Oh moment however didn't come till much later. Him and Lucanis had bonded slowly, Adren helping where he could to help Lucanis and Spite see more eye to eye. Lucanis paying attention to Adren's needs, making him tea when he needs something calming, forcing Adren to rest as much as the Crow was able to.

It was on one mission however, dealing with Darkspawn and Venatori in an area of Minrathos. Adren had just finished with a dark spawn unaware of a Venatori comming up behind him. In barely a second, Lucanis was there, killing the Venatori saving Adren from what would have been a fatal blow. Adren felt it in the air, in the energy dripping off Lucanis. Lucanis and Spite had truely become One in that moment, all in an effort to save him, to protect him.

Oh.

Adren felt the way his heart lept, his mouth dry as he looked at Lucanis. Lucanis clearly saying something about making sure to watch his back, the words were barely registering. All Adren could think was how he was deep in love with the man and demon before him.

28. What does Rook think of Dorian?

Feyran: Upon first meeting Dorian, Feyran is both scared and impressed. For very much the same reason, he was able to scare off the First Warden. After speaking with the Inquisitor and Lace however about Dorian, the fear starts to wear off. His thoughts on Dorian however remain being impressed by the man, with how much he has been able to and how much he has been trying to do to change Tevinter to make it better.

Plus it's interesting to speak to someone who dabbles in some Necromatic arts outside of Neverra. (Feyran thinks a lot of Dorian's experience is very much babies first necromancy but it's not like Dorian has had the same level of experience, even if Feyran is a good couple of decades younger).

Adren: When Adren was a child into a teenager he had quite the celebrity crush on Dorian. His father use to bring Adren to the occasional party/dinner thrown by the Tevinter elite (The older Adren go the less that happened, Adren never appreciated the way he would get mistaken for a slave and would always create a big scene). The ones at the Pavus household were Adren's favourite's, Dorian was one the the few magisters/altus' who actually treated him well. When all your faced with is scorn it's hard not to be enamoured by the first person to show you kindness.

When Adren meets him again this time as Rook, the person who had stepped up to save the world, the old forbidden crush came rushing back. Adren couldn't help it Dorian had aged like a fine wine. However it faded down quickly, there was work to do and he couldn't turn into a puddle of hero worship just becuase 'oh my god he was actually working with Dorian Pavus to save the world, and omg Dorian had been a Shadow all this time'. (he'll scream about it into his pillow later)

This is a really big stream of consciousness so I'm sorry if it doesn't make a lot of sense lmao but I really do 100% agree with the folk saying Lucanis probably had a crush on Rook from the very beginning

But see when that develops further and you realise it's not a daft wee crush anymore, and you have fallen - scary And then you find out they feel the same - terrifying, what the hell is going on

I can definitely understand how he gets a fright in the almost-kiss scene, and further when they actually get together, that's he's bewildered about the whole thing - it's disarming, and vulnerability doesn't come easily to someone whose life is taking out targets left and right, who is made to survive. Taking this further, if Lucanis doesn't make it in the final battle, and Rook has romanced him, Isabela comments on their fleeting touches, as if he's making sure it's not a fever dream and--

Like, going from being afraid of the idea of falling in love, to letting it happen (probably bewildered the whole time that it's actually happening) to losing Rook for weeks on end, and when Rook comes back even they need reassured that they're back in the real world, to then feeling comfortable and relaxed enough around Rook to fall asleep (but refuses bc he doesn't want to miss a moment with them)

sorry but. does kit know when his birthday is... i can't imagine johnny "emotionally absentee father" rook celebrating it at all and because kit's entire life has been a secret it seems likely there's no documentation of his birth, or if there was it was probably counterfeit and left in the LA house
