here's the thing, I fully believe that Alastor is aroace, but I also believe that he would commit to dating someone if he thought that doing so would be really entertaining. like absolutely Al hates Vox, but if he discovered that calling Vox "babe" made him consistently short-circuit and fry any other nearby VoxTek, I think he would seriously consider starting to call Vox "babe" just to get to see him bluescreen and wreck his own tech

Alastor and Vox are so great BECAUSE they're the EPITOME of "they should date only so no one else has to deal with them" and that's such a fun dynamic. Make them both insane about the other in a concerning way.

Vox is always watching Alastor through his cameras, and Alastor is just posing for him. Privacy doesn't exist for either of them, they know where the other is and what they're doing at all times.

Vox lets Alastor eat entire pieces of himself so he can be inside him for a little. Vox occasionally comes to work acting like a man who just spent the entire night getting laid, except he's missing part of his shoulder and his entire left hand.

Someone annoys one of them, and before they can kill them, the other does it for them, dumping the dead body on their door as a gift. Both of them find this to be the epitome of romance.

Vox stays too late at work, and Alastor stabs him through the gut and drags him back to their dinner date. Vox is sitting at the table bleeding out with hearts in his eyes as Alastor eats one of his employees in front of him.

Charlie tries to stage an intervention and everyone stops her because holy shit no one wants to know what either will do if whatever the fuck is wrong with them is directed at anyone else.

i feel like radiostatic in general has a pretty severe lack of "would you still love me if i were a worm" type situations because it's both very in character and absolutely hilarious for them.

if alastor, who is dating for the first time in a century and is perpetually annoyed that it took multiple overcomplicated and undercommunicated decades for them to get to this point, had a dream where vox dared to cheat on him. vox would be sleeping on a couch in an alleyway for 2 months

whereas vox, who has been cheated on more times than he's dated, gets about one night a week where he doesn't have a nightmare in which alastor cheats on or generally emotionally brutalizes him, and he tries to time those so he's in a better mood on date night
