Poly Xianle Quartet Dynamics Headcanons/Thoughts

Okay so first we have our main big ships: Hualian and Fengqing

Xie Lian x Hua Cheng: our star-crossed lovers duo. Constant heart eyes. We know them. We love them. It’s very important to me that they both love each other the same intense amount tho.

Feng Xin x Mu Qing: Rivals to lovers type. I think they both definitely had a crush on each other when they were younger, a bit of a “fuck this guy but also he’s kinda pretty wait what-“. I think post-canon they finally try and do get over their general angst and bad communication and become a duo that really make a fantastic team when they can. Like. Not kill each other enough to actually listen. The Martial Gods of the South. They’ve been at each other’s side (and at each other’s throats) almost always since they’ve met, and I think that fact really is the foundation of their dynamic.

Alright, now the more fun stuff.

Xie Lian x Feng Xin: ‘Body Guard x Royal’ dynamic my beloved. I think they’re very much childhood friends to lovers too. Like saw each other in diapers type. I think Feng Xin was born to a noble family (with a strong martial background) that was mostly dead by the time the kingdom fell, and therefore was one of the few people deemed high ranked enough to be friends with the Crown Prince. Which makes him like. The person Xie Lian knew the longest. Intensely loyal, especially post-canon once they get over their angst. Honestly I think they may be a little bit codependent for a bit, but they ease out once they’ve settled into their relationship again. There’s definitely more to say here but I’ll leave it at that for now.

Xie Lian x Mu Qing: Ah yes, it’s the Unrequited Love complex they both nurtured for me. I read It’s In Your Warmth, I Feel The Coldest, by PeacefulDiscord on ao3 (it’s great you should check it out). And they wrote a line which really pinned down their relationship for me; “I always thought of you as my beauty,” Xie Lian says. His gaze is firm even as his hand gentles where he’s still holding Mu Qing. “My jade. My love for you drove me mad, it made me too harsh when I believed you to have discarded me so easily.” And that right there has to be the crux of their relationship. I think they both crushed on each other when they were younger, and they found each other’s differences fascinating. But that difference in class made it so difficult for them to actually understand each other. I think post-canon, once they both have lived closer to the contexts of each other’s childhoods, they both have a much better understanding of the other person. They both had strong insecurities when it came to each other, a balancing act when they never knew what the other might take the wrong way. And the power imbalance that Mu Qing was always intensely aware of and that Xie Lian never even considered. Which made them lash out the minute they felt unsure. Assumptions galore. I think after a long chat post-canon, they settle into a sweet and close relationship again, and I think their experiences after they parted lent them a new understanding of each other they bask in now. The intense admiration (and love) they have for each other goes unshadowed now.

Alright, now probably the most juicy dynamics (at least in my opinion):

Hua Cheng x Mu Qing: I headcanon that they knew each other, when they were kids. Same impoverished neighbourhood type. I’m not sure how close that relationship was, but I think they definitely had one, even if it was just Mu Qing lying about Hong Hong’er’s whereabouts when his family or some other kids try to hurt him. They have lots of animosity to get through, especially regarding the whole Xie Lian stuff. And I think because their childhoods were similar, it made Hua Cheng even less inclined to forgive Mu Qing for what he viewed as his abandoning Xie Lian (especially cause I wouldn’t have done that, he thinks to himself). I think Hu Cheng also envies him the relationship he had with Xie Lian when they were younger, thinking him undeserving. I think any headway they make happens after an explosive verbal fight, which is probably how their other two lovers learned they knew each other when they were young. Once they actually talk out the resentment, I think their relationship eases a bit. The spark of admiration they had for each other when young erupts into a whole forest fire pretty quickly after that. (Mu Qing was definitely Hua Cheng’s gay awakening when they were younger, and Xie Lian was Feng Xin’s. Mu Qing’s was Feng Xin, to his eternal despair and Feng Xin’s eternal smugness. And Xie Lian’s was obviously his San Lang, it was almost Feng Xin tho, but he was too oblivious). They turn that lingering animosity into gossiping and judging people together, it’s their favourite bonding activity. I think their shared background eventually makes Hua Cheng the person that can read Mu Qing the easiest, and Mu Qing the person that catches Hua Cheng’s insecurities the easiest too. Their relationship is surprisingly soft. Theres is a slow burn.

Hua Cheng x Feng Xin: These two bitches might actually be enemies to lovers. Hate at first sight. Hate for a long while after. They have no basis for a relationship outside of their assumptions about each other, and the early post-canon years consist of snide remarks and actual fist fights sometimes. Their own unique relationship with Xie Lian means they have no qualms about throwing him at each other’s face, and it wasn’t until they almost made him cry doing that they finally calmed down a little. Still. Lots of animosity that doesn’t get solved until some sort of mission together forces them to actually exist around each other enough to not try to explode each other with their brains. They realise, after a fraught silence, that they’re both quite similar. Especially with loved ones. Especially when it’s loyalty. And they both, respectfully, hate this new understanding of each other. “What do you mean I can’t get mad at him for doing the most for someone he believes and is loyal to?!” “What do you mean I can’t hate him for leaving our shared lover because he proved more loyal when being asked to leave?!”. Unfortunately for them, this does prove to be the ice breaker for their relationship. They end up bonding over their shared drive to keep their loved ones safe, and they understand each other’s intense more than anyone else. It’s a slow surprise to both of them when that starts to include each other as well. But they find it’s nice to be the object of someone’s intense for once too.

A Birthday to Remember

A/N: Sorry that this is very late 😞. I hope the magic of Wanderer’s birthday gets conveyed to you all even though his birthday has passed. Not as much tickling as my other fics but filled with loving moments between Sethos and Scara along with Durin. Plus, some mentions of the poly ship. Hope you enjoy the fic :)

Durin was resting on top of Wanderer's hat as both of them and Sethos were heading back to the Temple of Silence after having lunch with Cyno and playing TCG.

“I never asked for a card game with you and Cyno on my birthday,” Scara grumbled.

“Hey, don't be like that,” Sethos laughed. “Did you enjoy it at least?”

“No.”

“Oh, come on. It was fun!”

“Not with how many jokes he told. Terrible ones at that.”

“I found them funny!” Durin chirped up.

“Yeah, they are funny! Durin gets it. Aether even said that Xiao chuckles at Cyno’s jokes.”

“You called?”

A whoosh sounded behind them and there stood Xiao with a hint of a smile.

“What's this about jokes?”

“Xiao! We didn't mean to call you. We were just discussing how funny Cyno’s jokes are.”

“They're not,” Wanderer interjected.

“But they are,” Xiao argued. “Especially the—”

“Ugh, all of you have a broken sense of humor. I’m outta here.”

“Honey,” Sethos whined. “Don’t leave us! Maybe this joke is funny to you.”

Sethos and Xiao caught up with Durin and Scara who huffed in annoyance.

“Okay, so it starts like this. I love my fingers.”

“I love mine too, so what?”

“I can always count on them!”

Both Xiao and Durin snorted at the joke while Sethos had a goofy grin on his face. And Scara…

“Well…I can always count on my middle finger to fuck you,” he smoothly replied, looking back at him with a smirk.

Sethos’s jaw dropped at the comment, his face immediately flushing red. Xiao choked on a laugh, knowing full well what Scara meant. Durin was laughing at the thought of Scara throwing middle fingers at Sethos every chance he could. Thankfully, little innocent Durin doesn’t know the other way much to everyone else's relief.

“Xiao, do you mind teleporting us the rest of the way to the Temple of Silence? I don’t think Seth will be able to walk from here anymore.”

Wanderer was grinning from ear to ear at this point.

“Heh, of course. Everyone, hold on to me.”

With a whoosh, they were all teleported inside Sethos’s room in the temple.

“Alright. I’m going to be leaving now. Need anything else?”

“No, we’re good. Thanks for coming. And Cyno might be in Gandharva Ville with Tighnari or still at the Lambard’s Tavern if you wanted to talk with him.”

“Thank you. I’m gonna drag Aether there with me.”

“Wow, you are such a good boyfriend, Xiao.”

“Well, Ae never complains. Oh, Wan. Before I go.”

“Hmm- mmm~”

Xiao gave him a sweet kiss, nipping at his lip playfully before pulling away.

“Happy birthday. We all love you, especially him.”

He nodded towards Sethos who had a pout on his lips.

“Where’s my- mmph!”

Xiao pulled him in with ease and pulled away just as quickly.

“There, are you happy? You are as needy as Heizou and Lyney.”

Sethos grinned stupidly, making Scara roll his eyes. They said their goodbyes, Xiao patting Durin’s head and giving Sethos and Scara quick parting pecks before going off to get Aether.

“Do you think he is going to find Aether with Kinich?” Sethos asks.

“Of course,” Scara answered, rolling his eyes. “Either they get along and tickle the crap out of Ae or they’re going to get in an argument and Ae is just going to tickle the crap out of them.”

“Can Ae really handle the two of them?”

“In a tickle fight? Hmm, probably. He is a fighter and definitely has the tactics to escape and bring them down laughing. He can also be tickled for quite a long time because of his high stamina which might sound bad, but he just loves being tickled. He's such a lee. In bed, maybe not. His stamina is going to be used against him, that’s for sure. And Xiao and Kinich are definitely packing down th—”

Sethos nudged him with his elbow, eyes full of amusement as he flicked them upward. Durin, honey.

“…the bed for cuddles. Yeah, for cuddles, since he is definitely sleepy after being…tickled.”

Scara internally facepalmed as he finished. His ears burned as he changed the subject.

“So, what else did you have planned for my birthday?”

Sethos chuckled, his eyes sparkling.

“I actually wanted to style your hair! It will totally lift your spirits.”

“…Tch. As if I would let you touch my hair,” he scoffed, setting down his hat on Sethos’s bed and Durin crawling off it in favor of the more comfortable sheets.

“Oh honey, drop the act,” he purred behind him, placing his chin on his lover's shoulder and making him jump. “I saw that flicker of interest in your eyes~”

“I don't have any interest in your dumb ideas, little bee.”

“You are playing hard to get right now. Guess I have to change that attitude of yours.”

Sethos suddenly dipped his hands into Scara’s pant pockets or as he likes to call them, hip windows, making Scara jolt in surprise and immediately grab his wrists.

“Don't,” he hissed.

“I can always count on my fingers to tickle you too, y’know?”

Without waiting for a response, he went right in for the kill, massaging deep into his hips with his thumbs and wiggling his fingers along his inner thighs.

“AHAHAHAHA! YOU AHAHARE SUHUHUCH AN ANNOYHIHING BEHEHEE!” Scara laughed, halfheartedly tugging at his lover's wrists.

“You don't mean that,” Sethos teased, taking notice. “I know you love me~”

“IN YOUR DREHEHEAMS!”

“Still being a tough one, are you? Well, can you handle this too?”

Sethos places a raspberry on the right side of his honey’s neck. And then another. And another. And boy does that do a number on him as he crumbles against Sethos, shaking in laughter as part of his second most ticklish spot was attacked.

“GAHAHAHAHA! SE- bfft! AHAHAHAHA! SEHEHETH! pfft! NAHAHAHA!”

“Can't forget the other side too!”

“WAHAHAIT! Wahahait! Sehethos!” Scara frantically got out, taking a few moments to catch some air.

“Yeah?~”

Sethos hovered over the left side of his neck now while his fingers and thumbs subtly went underneath his shorts and lazily traced along his skin making his eyes go wide in alarm.

“Are you cra—”

“Relax, I wouldn't do it if he was here.”

They both looked at Durin who was looking at them in interest.

“You wanna help me style his hair, Durin?” Sethos asked, his eyes gleaming with mischievousness.

Durin caught on, his own eyes gleaming with glee as he did a little excited dance.

“Yeah! I wanna help!”

“How are you both persistent?” Scara groaned as Sethos led him to the bed and made him sit on his lap, his back against his honey’s firm chest. “My hair is too short to style anyways.”

“Just like your height?”

“I will end you, Sethos.”

Scara turned around, glaring at him.

“Eh, I am taller than you so I doubt you can do anything, my short, honey love~”

Sethos smirked cheekily, having fun teasing him.

“By a mere two centimeters. And I can definitely destroy you, so stop being a cocky bee.”

“Ohoho~ Destroy me you say? I'd like to see you— ack!”

Scara, who was sitting on his lap a second ago, was now towering over him as his back lay on the bed sheets.

“Impressive honey, but that doesn't prove anyTHIHIHING! HAHAHAHA! WAIT! NOHOHOHO!”

Sethos had no time to defend himself as Scara rained down a tickle frenzy on him.

He clawed at his stomach and scribbled along his sides, making Sethos cackle as he weakly pushed at him. They had no effect as Scara simply leaned down into his ear, a smirk dancing on his lips.

“You messed up, my bee,” Scara whispered. “Told you I can destroy youhuhu- whahahat!?”

Scara scrambled to raise himself up, but he felt a weight settle on his back and he fell forward.

“Don't worry, Sethos! I can save you!”

Durin’s voice sounded behind him and he began to feel soft claws glide ticklishly along his sides making him giggle and try to roll away only to have Sethos trap him in a hug.

“You aren't getting away easily, honey~” Sethos grinned, moving his hands to his armpits and scurrying his fingers up and down his hollows.

“AHAHAHAHA! STAHAHAHAP IHIHIHIT YOUHUHU TWO!” Scara cried out, trying to clamp his arms down but couldn’t and instead opted to hug Sethos and bury his head in the crook of his neck. At least he can feel like he is doing something to lessen the sensations.

“Your laugh is so cute, honey~”

Scara could only laugh and squirm in response as Durin switched sides and Sethos started adding in raspberries along the left side of his neck.

“BWAHAHAHA! OHOHOHOKAHAHAY! OHOKAHAY! STYLE MYHY HAHAHAIR! YOUHUHU CAHAHAN STYLE MY HAHAHAIR! PLEHEHEHEASE! NOHOHOHO MOHOHOHORE!”

“Are you going to stop being a grump on your birthday?”

“YEHEHEHES! IHIHIHI WOHOHOHON’T BEHEHE GRUHUHUMPY! PLEAHEHEASE!”

“You promise?”

“IHIHIHI— AHAHAHAHAHA!”

Sethos moved one of his hands down to squeeze at his hips making him spasm in laughter as he shook his head.

“Was that a no?~”

“NOHOHO!” Scara shook his head desperately. “IHIHIHI PROHOHOMISE I’LL BEHEHE HAHAPPY! SEHEHETHOS! I PROMISEHEHEHE!”

“Promise Durin too.”

“IHIHIHI PROHOHOMISEHEHE YOU AND DUHURIHIHIN! PLEHEHEHEASE!”

Tears of ticklish mirth began soaking Sethos’s clothing as he slowly stopped and began massaging the ghostly tickles away. Durin also stopped, flying over to their heads and nuzzling against them.

“There, there~ That was your well-deserved birthday tickles.”

“You suhuhuck,” Scara giggled, still in his tickle high as he snuggled closer into Sethos’s neck, breathing in his scent. “You bohohoth suck.”

Sethos just chuckled, pecking his cheek as he carded his fingers through his hair.

“Time to style your hair!”

“Actually…can we…stay like this…for a while?”

The softness in Scara’s voice took Sethos by surprise, making him pause his movements before resuming, now gently massaging his scalp.

“Anything for you, honey~”

As Sethos massaged his scalp, Durin joined in and started to knead his back and shoulders. He let out a low groan, his breath evening out as he relaxed and cuddled even closer to Sethos. The soft massage began to lull him to sleep, his eyelids fluttering shut as the sound of his honey’s gentle heartbeat guided him into a peaceful slumber. Sethos continued his ministrations, enjoying the warmth and closeness. The intimacy. The peaceful silence. Sethos took it all in and was starting to feel drowsy himself.

A short while after Scara fell asleep, Sethos and Durin stopped, gently rolling him over so Sethos could change positions so that Scara was now sitting in his lap. As much as Sethos wanted to sleep and cuddle, he wanted to style Scara’s hair.

He’s sleeping like a log.

He carded his fingers through his hair again and Scara nuzzled into his hand, purring softly.

Sethos kissed him, reluctantly pulling away before looking at Durin. “Ready to style his hair now?” he whispered, grinning.

“Mhmm!” Durin nodded his head, flying around excitedly.

“How do you wanna style his hair?

“Mmm…” Durin had that contemplating look like Scara did when he was thinking really hard making Sethos smile. “Maybe style his hair like yours!”

“Like mine?”

“Yeah! Isn’t that what lovers do? They try to match each other as a way to show affection?”

He hummed for a moment, thinking of Durin’s suggestion. “Styling his hair like mine is going to be a little challenging since his hair is short.”

“Hmm…how about…you try two braids to the side connecting to a ponytail?”

Sethos looked at him with amusement.

“Where are you learning these things?”

“Lyney told me about matching styles, and I learned about hairstyles from Aether!”

“Quite the curious dragon you are~”

“Mhmm!” Durin nodded impatiently. “Can we start styling his hair now? Pleaseee?”

“Okay, okay!” Sethos giggled softly. “Try not to wake him as we do this, yeah?”

They both started to style Scara’s hair, handling the strands delicately. They were quietly focused on their job, the occasional giggle here and there from Scara as they accidentally and intentionally tickled his neck. They continued for a few minutes before Sethos broke the silence with a question.

“Hey Durin, do you think Scara is evil?”

Durin’s eyes widened in shock, the question catching him completely off guard.

“No! He’s my best friend! He helped me, saved me! No one evil would have done that. Do you think he is?”

“No no, he’s not evil. Far from it actually.”

Sethos fondly rubbed the strands of hair in between his fingers.

“Why’d you ask then?”

“I guess,” Sethos took a deep breath. “It was just the look in his eyes when I went to wish him a happy birthday. He was up in a tree, again. Like a cat,” Sethos giggled for a moment before becoming serious again. “His eyes were…distant. Full of sadness and pain. Anger. But it all disappeared when he saw me. Like it was never there to begin with.”

Durin looked between him and Scara, thinking. He looked between them once…twice…three times before he spoke.

“Maybe it was just your imagination! The Scara I know doesn’t have any evil in him. He’s kind-hearted and gentle. Maybe a little mean but not evil…playful mean! He’s happy and smiles a lot too when I see him. How can someone like him be in pain or full of sadness and anger?”

When Sethos looked at Durin, he saw the confidence in his eyes of his words and the love that he had for Scara. An innocence that went straight to his heart.

Is this what you mean when you see ‘them’ in him, Scara? Your friends…Niwa…the young boy? You longed to have them by your side like this, didn’t you?

“You’re right,” Sethos answered, smiling at him while holding back tears. “I probably imagined it. Scara can never have those types of emotions in him.”

He rubbed Durin’s head affectionately and Durin returned it with a smile. A smile full of pure joy and happiness.

I promise I’ll keep you safe, Durin. Just like how I protect Scara.

“Let’s wake him up now!”

“Not yet. Let’s add a ribbon as the finishing touch. What do you think?”

“Ooh, good idea, let me get one.”

Durin flew towards Sethos’s hair supplies, finding a stack of different colored ribbons.

What color should I pick?

He looked at his options before landing on a light purple-colored one.

Maybe this one. The color looks similar to me!

Durin flew back with the ribbon in his claws and gave it to Sethos who nodded in approval.

“Same color as you huh?” Sethos winked at him.

Durin nodded, flying around happily.

“Let’s wake up the pretty sleepyhead now?”

“Yeah!”

Sethos brought his hands to Scara’s stomach and Durin flew to his neck. They each had a smirk on their face as they started off with slow tickles. Sethos lazily drew random shapes while Durin licked ticklish stripes along his neck.

“Stohohop…” Scara chuckled in his sleep, unconsciously leaning away from Durin and into Sethos, but not once stirring awake.

“Let me try something. You keep going, Durin.”

Durin happily continued while Sethos raised his hands to Scara’s armpits and massaged deep circles into his hollows.

Scara’s jolted awake with a laugh, toppling them over.

“Wakey wakey, pretty princess~” Sethos laughed, not phased at all and still continuing the tickle attack.

“HAHahAHaHA! SEheHEThohos?! DuriHIHIN!?” he asked, confused, still groggy from sleep.

“He doesn’t seem to be fully awake yet. Let’s amp it up, Durin?”

Durin’s eyes sparkled with excitement as he nodded his head.

“PFFFTT!”

“Pffftt!”

“BWAHAHAHAHA! HO-HONEHEHE- AHAHAHAHA! DUR- GAHAHAHAHA! WHYHYHY!?”

They both continuously blew raspberries on Scara’s neck, and he howled with laughter. No matter where he squirmed, they always managed to land a raspberry on his neck. Then he felt Sethos lowering his hands to his hips and his laughter rose an octave as he frantically shook his head.

“NONONOHOHO! SEHEHETH! D-DOHON’T- NAHAHAHAHA!”

Sethos ignored him and went ahead, squeezing his hips and Scara shook in ticklish mirth as he desperately tried to find the right words to say.

“I’M AWAHAHAKE! I’M- AHAHAHAHA! I’M AWAKEHEHE! PLEHEHE- HAHAHAHA!”

The both of them slowed down to a stop and Sethos sent Durin a wink and Durin returned it with a happy dance in the air.

“Ha, hah, hah…I dihidn’t even do anythihing,” Scara complained, slumping against Sethos.

“Whoawhoawhoa! You’re going to mess up your hair.”

“My hair? What about my hair?”

Scara sat back up looking between the two of them who were grinning at him. Durin rolled over a body mirror in front of him and he widened his eyes.

“Y-You both did this? For me?” he brought his hands up to delicately touch the intricately styled strands. His hair was styled with two braids to the side connecting to a ponytail with a light purple ribbon finishing up the look.

“Isn’t this how you style your hair, little bee? And hey, the ribbon has a similar color to you, Durin.”

Sethos blushed, hiding his face in the crook of his neck and Durin nodded his head with a proud smile on his face.

He admired his hair in awe before kissing Durin on the side and Sethos on the lips.

“Thank you, both of you. This- This is the best birthday I’ve ever had.”

Sethos saw the soft smile of his lover reflected in the mirror and his heart swelled seeing that smile on his face.

“You look cute, honey~”

Scara’s ears turned red at that comment and from the mirror, Sethos could see a subtle blush on his face.

“Drink some water. You need it,” he laughed, handing a glass he grabbed from the bedside table.

Scara accepted it with a nod and a roll of his eyes, taking a big sip before handing it back to him.

“I’m so sleepy now,” Durin yawned.

“You can sleep on my lap if you want,” Scara offered, patting his legs.

“Really?!”

Durin happily curled up in his lap, immediately dozing off when Scara started running his hand down his head to his back and back again. Sethos put his chin on Scara’s shoulder and the both of them sat in silence, watching their little dragon fondly as he finally fell asleep.

When Scara was sure Durin was fast asleep, he stood up, carrying him in his arms and kissing his head before laying him gently on a pillow. He then returned to Sethos and laid down on his lap, making sure not to ruin his new hairstyle.

“I meant what I said, Sethos,” Scara started, breaking the silence between them. “That this is the best birthday I ever had in my lifetime.”

Sethos stayed silent, listening as he combed his honey’s hair.

“All the birthdays I had were…meaningless. Well, besides the one with Aether and Lesser Lord Kusanali. The rest were filled with hate and sadness. All I ever wanted was to be loved. But how can you love someone who doesn’t have a heart and is evil.”

Scara chuckled humorlessly before continuing.

“I was…alone. I had no one by my side. I was thrown away like trash. No one loved me. Everyone left me…betrayed me…except Niwa and that little child. I now know they didn’t betray me. I was too blind to see it. But that doesn’t change the fact that I turned evil and did all those things. Now, people treat me as a good person. Do I deserve that? Do I deserve that kind of gesture after everything I’ve done? Do I deserve to be happy…to have a…happy birthday? I’m not even human, how—”

“Look at me, Scara.”

Sethos interrupted him, cupping his cheek with his hand and turning his face towards him.

“You aren’t evil anymore,” Sethos firmly said. “You righted your past actions as much as you could have and that shows that what you once were is no more. You helped Durin, didn't you? You saw your past self in him, and you didn’t want him to repeat the same mistakes you did. You may say you do not have a heart, but you’re wrong. You have a heart. Sethos smashed his lips against Scara’s, hugging him impossibly close as he shoved all the love he had for him in the kiss. He invaded his already open mouth and sucked his tongue making him moan softly. Scara can only think of Sethos. Sethos kissing him. Sethos on top of him. He can feel the love Sethos has for him and the passion that fills him with so many feelings.

They pulled away after a few minutes, a string of spit connecting the both of them before disappearing. The both of them panted deeply as they stared into each other’s eyes. Emerald eyes meeting lavender ones.

“In my eyes, in their eyes, you are human, Scara,” Sethos started, kissing him softly as he spoke. “You had a wish to be human, but you already are. You just need to recognize where your feelings come from, and they are right here.”

Sethos trailed his finger to where his heart was supposed to be.

“Even though that heart doesn’t beat yet, it will. You just need to unlock it. That’s for you to figure out. Just accept yourself for who you are. I will always love you no matter what happens.”

Sethos looked at him, with warm, loving eyes and Scara felt tears starting to fall from his.

“I-I love you, my bee.”

“I love you too, my honey. More than you know,” Sethos smiled at him, wiping the tears with his thumb.

They both cuddled beside Durin, Sethos whispering sweet nothings into his lover’s ear before they eventually fell asleep.

“Ugh, what’s that noise?” Scara groaned, waking up as he wiped the sleep from his eyes and making Sethos stir awake beside him.

“What noise?” Sethos yawned, glancing at him.

“Like a thumping noise and I can…feel it.”

“What are you talking abou— Wait.”

Sethos put his ear on Scara’s chest, listening.

“Honey, your heart! I-It’s beating!”

Their eyes met, surprise meeting disbelief.

“T-That's my heart?”

Scara brought his hand to his chest feeling a rhythmic beat coming from his chest.

“Do you feel different? Do you need anything? What can I do for you—”

“You can stop your buzzing, little bee.”

Sethos smiled at that.

Still the same. I'm glad.

“I feel the same, it's just that everything sounds louder now.”

“Hehehe, you are not a puppet anymore. You're just like me and the others! Ooh, what about your electro mitsudomoe, is it gone now? Wait, are you still ticklish?”

“Can you stop obsessing over me?” Scara rolled his eyes. “You're going to wake up Durin.”

“Whoops, I can't help it. It's you we're talking about.”

“S-Shut up.”

Sethos snickered as he caught a glimpse of red on Scara’s ears and face before he showed the back of his neck to him.

“Aww, your electro mitsudomoe isn't— oh wait,” He brushed with his fingers where it was supposed to be, and it appeared. “It was just invisible. There's an anemo symbol too!”

“What for?”

“I dunno. Maybe you can shoot anemo wind blades infused with electro. Aether is going to be so jealous when he finds out you can wield both the power of electro and anemo at the same time,” Sethos laughed as Scara smirked.

“Let me try something really quick.”

Sethos brought his fingers to Scara’s neck, making Scara shiver.

“What are you— ahahaha! W-What was that?!”

Scara jolted in laughter when he felt a current of electro rush through his body.

“Heyheyhey, I can still channel electro to make you laugh. How about—”

“NO. Seth,” Scara warned, knowing full well what Sethos was going to do.

“You can't do— Aah~”

He let out a small moan, feeling a tingle of electro that sent pleasure shooting through him.

“Hehe, still works~ Let’s have fun later~”

“I would've killed you if that— ahahaha! Ahahare you lihihistening?!”

“Nope!”

Sethos kissed his neck, channeling little currents of electro like the first time, making him squirm and giggle along with making him extra ticklish.

“It feels that you are more ticklish now~”

“Stahahap tahahalking!”

“Okay, if you insist.”

“Wha- AHAHAHA! NOHOHO! NOHOHOT RASPBERRIEHEHES! THAHAT’S NOHOHOT WHAHAT I MEHEHEANT WHEHEN TO STOHOHOP TAHAHALKING!”

Sethos just grinned into his neck and blew more raspberries, knowing that he didn’t mind. Scara stopped trying to talk at this point and just continued to laugh, enjoying the sensations and his lover’s presence as their dragon slept soundly beside them, oblivious to the commotion.

A short time passed before Sethos let up on the raspberries and wrapped his arms around him, bringing them down to lay on their sides. He lazily traced along his honey’s skin, while Scara felt his heartbeat faster not just from the aftermath of the tickling but also from Sethos’s sensual touch.

“I just realized.”

“What?”

“Kazuha is going to be so jealous that I'm the one celebrating your birthday with you and not him.”

“Mmm, you're right. He'll definitely want me for himself later after we finish. Hmm…”

Scara thought for a moment.

“How about this? We’ll let Durin hang out with the others so you and I can have our fun. Then, I’ll have fun with Kazuha tonight. Afterward, you can join us for some midnight fun.”

“Wait, me joining?”

“Unless you don't want to.”

“I want to. It's just…I don't want to take away your alone time with him.”

“Kaz won't mind. We're all boyfriends after all. He'll probably just tickle you to death for stealing me and doing my hair.”

His eyes twinkled with mischievousness.

“Isn't he going to tickle you too though?”

“I got tickle immunity,” Scara smirked. “It's my birthday.”

He stuck his tongue out at him.

“Of course you do,” Sethos said, rolling his eyes. “But not from mehehe- hehehey!”

Catching Sethos’s hand sneaking towards him, he grabbed a hold of it and started scribbling his own fingers against his bee's side.

“Did you really think you could tickle me right now? You are so predictable,” Scara chuckled.

Before Sethos can muster a response, they both hear a yawn next to them.

“Mmph, what are you both doing?” Durin asked, blinking his eyes open as he stretched.

Scara slowed his tickling to a stop glancing at Sethos who looked at him, still giggling. They exchanged a knowing glance before turning towards Durin with smirks on their faces.

“Hehehey!” Durin giggled when he felt himself being pulled into their embrace and scribbles on his tummy and under his chin. “Thahat's nohot fahahair! I’m stihill wahaking uhuhup!”

They relented after a couple minutes, leaving Durin in a giggling mess.

“We almost forgot to sing happy birthday to you, honey!”

Durin perked up at that doing an excited dance.

“Yeah, we need to sing!”

“No. That song is dumb.”

“Please! Pretty please! Can we sing it to you?”

They both sent Scara their puppy-looking eyes and he looked away blushing, waving his hands at them.

“Okay, okay! Stop looking at me like that! Fine, you guys can sing.”

“Yes! Okay. 1, 2, 3…”

“Happy birthday to you!”

“Happy birthday to you!

“Happy birthday dear Scaraaaa!”

“Happy birthday to youuuuu!”

“Ugh, you both are insufferahahable!”

“There’s also a rule that we tickle you after singing,” Sethos smirked.

“Thehehere ihihisn’t! Noho! Durin, dohohon’t fohollow him!”

“Yay, birthday tickles!”

The both of them tickled Scara again as he laughed, feeling as if his heart was going to beat out of his chest.

“That's what I thought,” he said, kissing him on the cheek. “Hope you can last until I get tired.” — “He'll get his chance later. Right now, I want to celebrate it with you. Besides, that's why there are threesomes for a reason, right?”

Sethos looks at him shocked.

Turns out my brain never knows when to stop (😅), so now I have even more plot bunnies for Descendants and I thought I’d share them with you!! Keep in mind that I probably won’t do official intro posts for most of these, but you can still feel free to ask me questions about them if you want!!

Bella Wolf, daughter of the Big Bad Wolf, poly Carlos/Jane ship, Fivel Stewart FC. A member of the VKs, despite being a total sweetheart for a villain kid and never really wanting to be evil, because she was the only kid who tried to befriend Evie when she had her mother were exiled and she and Evie have been stuck like glue ever since. Not originally selected to go to Auradon, but the VKs managed to sneak her through the barrier and Ben decided to let her stay. Genuinely befriends Jane pretty quickly since they’re both really sweet and quiet, and doesn’t necessarily like her friends using the girl, but she goes along with it and it breaks her heart to distance herself from Jane after Family Day. Has also had a crush on Carlos forever but doesn’t realize she likes Jane too until after Jane and Carlos start dating, and she thinks she’s missed her chance with both of them until they approach her about being a part of their relationship. Has been purely in human form, like her dad, for most of her life because of the magic blocker on the Isle, but when she gets to Auradon she discovers that she can shift into a wolf and back at will, and also has heightened senses and reflexes, which she uses to join the tourney team after it becomes more inclusive after the second movie.

Charlotte Cogsworth, daughter of Cogsworth, Gil ship, India Eisley FC. Homeschooled in Auradon’s palace for most of her life, because she’s been in training to follow in her father’s footsteps and become an advisor in Ben’s future court and also because Cogsworth is a very protective father, but Ben manages to convince his parents to convince her father to let her go to Auradon Prep shortly before the VKs come to Auradon (and she almost gets pulled out of school again when Cogsworth learns about villain kids coming, but thankfully it doesn’t happen). A bit socially inept since she hasn’t spent a lot of time around kids her age other than Ben, but a very sweet and fiercely intelligent girl who’s accepting of the VKs right away. Offers to tutor the Sea Three and catch them up on any education they might lack after Ben brings them to Auradon after the second movie, and falls in love with Gil that way. Absolute besties with Ben since they grew up together, and is also really good friends with Lonnie and Evie and Doug (and also forms a kind of unexpected friendship with Uma after a while). Her father nearly has a heart attack when he finds out she’s dating Gaston’s son, but he eventually comes around.

Beauregard “Beau” Beast, son of Belle and Adam, poly Harry/Jay ship. Younger than Ben by less than a year, but has always grown up in his brother’s shadow as the “spare heir”; even though Ben never tried to make him feel less than, he’s always known that his father didn’t care about him the same way, that he was meant to just be Ben’s right hand and nothing else. Inherited his mother’s love for reading and knowledge and has spent most of his life locked in his room or the palace library studying history and politics, hoping that he could become a well-known senator or ambassador to another kingdom. A bit wary of the VKs at first, but eventually befriends all of them and starts dating Jay (to Adam’s consternation, especially since Ben’s already dating Mal), and winds up being the one Uma’s pirate crew kidnaps instead of Ben when they go to the Isle to bring Mal home. He and Harry are intruiged by each other and flirt a little while he’s captive (awkwardly on Beau’s part), but he finds out after the Sea Three come to Auradon that Jay and Harry were actually involved for a short while before the fight between the VKs and Uma’s crew got really bad. Eventually Jay and Beau realize that they (still, on Jay’s part) have actual genuine feelings for Harry, and invite him to be part of their relationship. Beau is very sweet but intensely awkward and insecure due to never being the first choice growing up, but as he gains more friends and starts dating Jay and Harry he’s able to come out of his shell and starts being able to stand up for himself.

Wesley Darling, son of Wendy Darling, Mal ship, Tom Holland FC. The son of Wendy and the man she married after becoming a writer and putting Neverland behind her, but there are rumours that he’s actually Peter Pan’s son because of all the mischief he gets into. Hates Auradon’s thinking of “moving past” magic and how perfect and prim everyone pretends to be, so he’s constantly pulling pranks and getting into trouble with Fairy Godmother. Immediately recognizes that Ben’s under a love spell because he sees him eat the spelled cookie and approaches Mal about it, not to confront her or rat her out but just because he’s impressed by her prank skills (he obviously doesn’t realize that it’s part of a bigger plan). He and Mal fall in love leading up to the coronation, and Wesley is so relieved when she chooses good and admits to Ben that she doesn’t have any feelings for him - which he’s fine with because he’s a good friend and genuinely likes Wesley - so they can be together. The very definition of a class clown, laid-back and mischievous and doesn’t take a lot seriously, but also a lot smarter than most people think and would do anything for the people he cares about.

Aurora Andersen, daughter of Ariel and Eric, poly Mal/Evie ship, Zendaya Coleman FC. Ariel and Eric’s younger child, after her older sister Melody who’s already graduated Auradon Prep. Shares her mother’s curiousity and sense of adventure, and so she makes a strong effort to befriend the VKs when they first come to Auradon. Realizes she has feelings for both Evie and Mal after they almost steal the wand at the coronation, and is thrilled when they choose good and decide to stay in Auradon. Confesses to them sometime between the first and second movies, and they all become Auradon Prep’s power throuple. Pretty much exactly like Ariel in terms of personality, bold and inquisitive and kind, but with Eric’s occasional recklessness thrown in. Can change between mermaid and human forms at will, thanks to Fairy Godmother’s magic. Wanted to be on Auradon Prep’s swim team but it was deemed unfair since she’s a mermaid, so she settles on joining the R.O.A.R. team after Lonnie becomes captain.

Delfina Madrigal, daughter of Dolores Madrigal, Lonnie ship, Rachel Zegler FC. Daughter of Dolores and Mariano, and the oldest of the five children that her father always wanted. Received a gift from the family miracle on her fifth birthday like the rest of her family, becoming able to create illusions through her singing voice. Homeschooled for a good portion of her life, like most Madrigals, but Mirabel, now head of the family, decided she and a few of her cousins should be allowed to go to Auradon Prep after the coronation, since she thought that King Adam’s attitude towards magic might be changing. A clumsy lesbian disaster, a bit like her Tía Mirabel, who gets an insta-crush on Lonnie and whose brain tends to stop working when she’s around her. The two of them get together shortly after the events of the second movie, and Delfina attends all of Lonnie’s R.O.A.R. tournaments religiously despite not really knowing anything about the sport. A bit quiet and nervous like her mother, but also has her quiet strength and her tía’s tendency to let her mouth run faster than her brain. Joins Auradon Prep’s acapella club and makes them into sensations, due to her gift making their performances into full spectacles.

Theodore “Theo” Maldonia, child of Tiana and Naveen, Chad ship, Jonathan Daviss FC. He/they kid of Tiana and Naveen and heir to the throne of Maldonia. Very studious, quiet, and dedicated to learning how to be the best ruler he can be, but also doesn’t have very many friends as a result. Unexpectedly winds up becoming close to Chad after being assigned to tutor him when he starts failing a class, and actually helps him to reconsider his ways and mindset when the VKs come to Auradon. Through dating Chad, Theo starts to come out of their shell a little, and becomes really good friends with Doug and Carlos. A member of the Auradon Prep student council, and eventually becomes the tourney coach’s assistant as an effort for them to better learn how to plan strategies.

Maizie Hatter, child of the Mad Hatter, poly VKs ship, Erin Kellyman FC. Wacky non-binary sweetheart, and a complete outcast in Auradon, as most kids from Wonderland are, due to their odd style and outlandish personality. When the VKs originally come to Auradon (already all dating each other), they try to befriend Maizie because they figure it will be easy to convince them to help them steal Fairy Godmother’s wand, but all four of them find themselves falling in love with Maizie over time. Exactly what you’d expect the child of the Mad Hatter to be, wacky and curious and often living inside their own head, but also a lot more observant and smart than people expect. Becomes besties with Ben after the events of the first movie when they start to become more accepted by Auradon society and, later, the Sea Three.

Finally cleaned this up so here’s my DnDads ultimate ship opinions list. I was waiting until after s2 ended to clean this up in case I had any final opinion changes with the last few episodes. Please don’t bash me for any of these. The DnDads fandom is generally very nice but shipping discourse is something that can get heated no matter the fandom.

Dads

Henry Darryl: very neutral. I understand the ship I just never fully got on the boat

Henry Glenn: absolutely fucking feral about them do not get me started on Glennry

Darryl Glenn: feral in a different way that I don’t know how to describe other than toxic yaoi in the way that they’re damaged but refuse to talk about it so they kiss about it instead

Loveeeeeeee polydads but only as Henry/Glenn/Darryl. Not really a Ron shipper I love him and Samantha too much. Ron and Glenn’s friendship is very important to me though

In terms of Jodie, I don’t really ship him with any of the main dads, ESPECIALLY not Glenn. Even if Jimmy didn’t play Jodie I’d still never ship them. Wish Scamster was real and not completely a scam because they’re literally a crackship become real except it was never a crackship before canon. It’s surprising to me that they weren’t really shipped beforehand

Henry Mercedes: THE T4T OF ALL TIME BABEYYYYY. Absolutely iconic couple, fate was in their favor with how they met they were destined for each other

Darryl Carol: After hearing how Darryl talked about his family in Heaven, I was actually really happy they ended up not getting divorced. They clearly had a rough patch as seen in s1, but they genuinely love each other and I love how devoted to her Darryl is. The little finger puppet he made of her in the time out zone… :,)

Glenn Morgan: GLORGAN!!!!!!!!! Oh my god these two tear me apart. I am feral for Glorgan angst there’s too much to work with. More people need to start calling them Glorgan instead of Morglenn please please please please pretty please indulge me in my silly ship name

Lark Terry: do not know the appeal of Gun Control but their ship name is fun

Lark Grant: toxic yaoi central. They both need intense therapy but them both being so fucked up is what makes them interesting not that that’s healthy though

Terry Grant: I see them more in a qpr place than anything romantic. I have one fic of them that’s bookmarked on Safari because I think about a part from it from time to time

In terms of s2 spouses I so desperately wished we could’ve seen more of them. We barely get to see them

Nicky Cassandra: Telling Taylor his dad was a good man and that she misses him every day makes me think they parted on good terms. But then Nicky disappeared because of FBI shit. In another life maybe they could’ve worked.

Sparrow Rebecca: more ugly sobbing. I’m unsure on my sparroace thoughts if they’d end up getting divorced post-finale but I know they’re not fully separating or breaking up. They really are in love but it’s unconventional and messy.

Terry Veronica: I think the reveal that Terry is infertile is a nice touch to their relationship. It sounds weird to say and I feel like I might word this all weirdly. Him being unable to have bio kids but finding love in someone who wants to raise a kid with him anyways. Veronica finding new love again after a supposedly abusive relationship. Both of those combined is something I really love.

Grant Marco: Canon gays ftw. The Titanic episode was so generous in letting us get to see their dynamic. Obviously Grant still has a long way to go in finding self love but I’m so happy he found someone who can support him and loves him back like this.

Normal Scary: ugly sobbing over them I love them so much. Cradling my madomagi and tma aus with them as madohomu and jmart

Normal Taylor: yearning for the early s2 days like when they went to Sonic and made some devious plan off screen I wish they had more silly interactions together. they often take naps together. malleus was uncomfortable with it at first but now it’s his favorite thing. ruggie helps plan their actual dates, so they always end up doing something out of their comfort zones. they enjoy just being together, sometimes they go and walk through the garden and just hold hands and talk. leona grumbles about his housemates, mal listens and inspects the flowers. it’s a very calm, casual relationship, but they like it that way. just being in each others space, not having to do or say much.

Ace/Deuce:

ace and deuces dates are less of planned dates and more of “hey we’re together this is a date now” ace will be going to do something that’s probably stupid and deuce will get dragged along. deuce has to train for track? ace comes with him and throws shit at him while he’s running. they have movie nights where they watch shitty romcoms and cuddle. whatever they’re doing, as long as they are together, it counts as a date.

I think I first saw the pairing in a comic on Deviantart where Nne is shown to have this crush on Madoa and I went “yeah that could work”. A lot of people ship Nne and Tano cuz they’re always together and it grew on me

So why not make Nne poly huh?

I like to think it starts off as kind of a love triangle where Nne gains a huge crush on Madoa (maybe she does something nice for him or he just sees how gentle she is, haven’t decided) and tries to win her heart. However, Tano starts developing feelings for his bff and WANTS to confess, but he always suppresses it either bc Nne’s too busy dreaming about Madoa or their moment gets interrupted. At one point, Tano does something that makes Nne see him in a different light (aka Tano looking FINE~) and starts to question whether it’s just a one time thing or if Nne’s catching feelings while also crushing on Madoa…who’s just starting to warm up to and maybe even admit her feelings towards him

So eventually the three spend the day together, talk everything out and agree to be in a polyamorous relationship. Tano loves Nne, Nne loves Tano, Nne also loves Madoa, Madoa also loves Nne. Madoa’s cool with Tano. Nne has two front paws, it works out. And the best part? Madoa probably catches onto Tano’s crush on Nne and sees how much he cares for him and she respects that to no end. Tano sees how sweet Madoa is and how much she ALSO cares about him.

What kinds of fics do you like to write?

My works list is a mix ranging from drabbles, medium length to long fics. It really depends on the idea and inspiration. Some stories need 2k words to be told others need tens of thousands but I believe my sweet spot is around the 10-15k mark as I like to plan plot outline and majore milestones but also love just letting it flow however it wants to.

My most underappreciated fic is a drabble but most underappreciated fic that I was super excited about posting but which did not get a lot of attention was a choose your own adventure A/B/O fic that had a Wincestiel main pairing. And I wonder if I posted it in the best way or if there is a better way to do it. :)

Moments like this happen as I take part in more bangs and reverse bangs where people put forward concepts and ideas that have never occurred to me and it is endlessly fascinating to try out new ideas and things. As of right now I can't think of anything that I want to but haven't tried yet.

(I wanna throw Secco into the polycule pile as well but I’m worried that’s asking too much work for such a niche ask 😭 feel free to leave him out if you want)

Reader would obviously have to be someone with a) the ruthlessness to make it to La Unita and b) the unhinged-ness to be partly dating ciocolatta 😭😭 but tbf have you seen La Unita? No one on that roster is normal and well adjusted (not even Squalo and Tiz, they’re freaks too /affectionate)

Dude you're so more than welcome to request niche stuff !! Carne n Cioccolata is like in the top 3 of the only JoJo ships I care about. Next to Esikars and Tomoko x Shinobu from part 4 😭

Warning: these are kinda all over the place??, tried to give each character a chance to shine but there might be some uneven coverage of characters, Cioccolata is his own brand of concern

- One word to describe the relationship: intense

- Everyone loves aggressively and frequently

- Hard to say if there's some kind of "balance" between the four of you. Even Carne, though silent, is just as clingy and touchy as Cioccolata and Secco

- Oh yeah btw you're never going to be left alone

- Even on missions, even if Doppio insists you go alone, they don't care. I really think these three men take Doppio or Diavolo's words as just a suggestion.

- Secco is the worst offender. His clinginess is overwhelming. He'll always insist that he holds your hand, your waist, any bit of skin he can get his hands on

- And he's just as determined that you give him the same attention. He'll always want you to pet him, to sing the same praises as Cioccolata, give him some special treatment w extra sugar cubes or kisses. Your attention is very addicting

- Cioccolata and Carne on the other hand? They're around you just to get a rise out of you

- Like I know Carne stepped closer to Mista just because he thought it was funny that it annoyed him

- They both love to scare and prod at you. Cioccolata does all the talking and teasing for the both of them, wheress Carne just likes to stare and hold you

- The unwavering eye contact could make anyone squirm and a low rumble erupts from his chest when Carne knows he's getting to you

- While it's fairly easy to fluster Secco and (kind of) Carne back, it's become a game between you and Cioccolata to see how you could make the surgeon blush

- He rolls his eyes when you act sweet, he laughs and plays along when you try to get intimate and tease him, you could show up at his door covered in blood and his face doesn't grow warm

- The secret? Join in on one of his tapes, he wants to see you revel in the adrenaline rush of murder.

- It's the action that gets blood rushing to his cheeks, it's the fact that he's sharing the experience with you and Secco. No secret that the doctor has a twisted sense of joy and romance, he loves taping the "dates" he has with you because of this

- It's like a lil scrapbook, y'know? Fond memories with you and Secco <3

- Sometimes Carne joins in on the fun, but he's rather camera shy, so he's the director. While you three are making out sloppy style, his hand is in the corner frame giving a small thumbs up.

- You four are only considered "cute" by Tiziano and Squalo, but you all really are happier than what any outsider can assume
