notes! . . . y'know the phrase, “save a horse, ride the cowboy”? well, I decided to-do something about it with boothill... except it's sfw and more like “save a horse, ride with the cowboy” cuz i dont do nsfw here >:/. god give me acceptance for how boothill is so ooc here- 😭😭 idnk how to write his character properly, and does he even have a horse?? I don't remember seeing a horse when his character and banner got leaked, so let's just pretend he does have one for the sake of K'hailreigh for this plot. 💀

imagine returning the horse boothill had been searching for all day after it got the chance to escape through the tall fences the moment they were opened, his eyes widen at the sight of his companion with you guiding alongside it. normally, his horse wouldn't follow after someone else's orders other than him... and it behaves pretty feisty and rough with people who isn't him.

boothill is relieved to see that his trusty horse hadn't been injured, briefly thanking you as he goes over to fuss over his stallion. you can't help your gaze wandering and examining his figure, in awe of the metallic and cyborg parts of the cowboy in front of you. sure you might've seen people having artificial and metal parts attached to them, but this man right here just plainly looks like a robot if it weren't for his humanly head.

boothill notices you eyeing every inch of him, glancing from the lasso that hangs at his hips to the pistols to his arms and to his legs. he glares a wolfishly smile at you, baring the shark-like teeth that you gaze in short surprise at, and asks in a teasingly tone, “like what you see, darlin'?”, observing how you blink owlishly at him. but then, he's becomes sort of surprised when you nod your head and confirm that—yes, you like his appearance and how the color scheme matches altogether, while indirectly  commenting how he's a good-looking cowboy.

boothill, after his turn of blinking at you, grins and narrows his eyes with an intrigued look in them; amused by you and how you don't seem in the slightest.. nervous or terrified in his presence. you perked the cyborg's interest.

finishing the small talk with the man, you mention that you'll be needing to go somewhere for an errand and boothill takes the opportunity to offer a ride there on his horse—as a thanks for retrieving his horse, taking in your surprised expression with a grin as he ends the sentence with a “darlin'”. he insists, even if you refuse, so you decide that it'll be quicker to go in a horse ride with the cowboy than rather walking by foot as you were given no other choice.

with boothill's assistance, you were boosted onto the horse and instructed by him to hold on as he looks back at you, flashing a toothy grin and a finger tilting his hat just slightly for a short moment before you and him rode off towards where you were needed to be at with his horse. startled by the increasing speed his horse was going, you instinctively grasp onto the cyborg cowboy's built body in order to not fall off during the ride accidentally—boothill grins at your expression, his laughter going with the wind, “better hol' on tight for now, sweetheart. this'll be a rough ride! i'll get ya to where yer headin' in no time!”

An: a blurb i wrote of an oc x jingyuan (platonic).

Jing Yuan stood besides his master as the cloud knights marched in with the criminal. Not less than 2 hours ago there was a supposed robbery within the cloud knight training arena. The thief had tried to steal weapons from the armoury but was caught. Now as the cloud knights brought forwards the perpetrator Jing Yuan couldn't help but gawk at her. The thief was just a young girl, not older than 10 years. The cloud knights dropped her before his master. Her arms were weighed down by the heavy chains. Her appearance wasn't great but at the same time wasn't as Jing Yuan had thought they'd leave her in. Small cuts scattered across her arms and a few on her face but nothing more serious. "Is this the thief?" "Yes general. We found her just before she could leave with a sword" "And you fought her?" "Yes, we did" Jing liu nodded her gaze never leaving the girl. "How many men?" The cloud knight stuttered "wh-what?" "I said.. How many men were used to subdue her" The cloud knight looked away as they answered "10" Jing Yuan inhaled sharply. A girl not even above the age of 10 had managed to take down 10 full grown and trained soldiers single handedly. His master nodded. She gracefully descended from the podium until she was before the girl. She kneeled to her level and asked "how did you do it?" The girl did not reply, "dont be afraid child" No response. Jing liu sighed as she stood up and walked back "fear is something that isn't involuntary but a choice" Jing lui stopped turning around she faces the girl once again. The room was covered in silence. The girl raised her head and stared straight at the sword master. "Your men choose to fear and that's why I won. If they used their rational parts of their brain and simply continued instead of running off to call for reinforcements to put down a mere child... they would be won" Jing lui smiled,in a flash she sent ice straight at the girl and when the dust settled the sword master's smile widened. Gasps filled the room as they laid eyes on the girl still kneeling on the ground ice shards one either side of her "your power is great and I'd much rather is be used for good" The girl tilted her head "who are you to say what's right or wrong?" Jing lui laughed "I may not be able to dictate what's right or wrong but i do know stealing isn't it" With a sigh she addressed the crowd "take this girl and get her cleaned up starting from today she will train under me" Uproar filled the room "master! You can't possible train a thief!" "Oh? And why not?" Jing Yuan huffed "you don't know if she'll steal again or do worse. She needs to be disciplined" Jing lui hummed "that is true.... " Jing Yuan sighed in relief "then you shall train her" "WHAT?!" "Have I not trained you in discipline?" "Yes bu-" "Then you shall train her. It'll do all of us good and you too." "But-" "Do you have any objections?" She looked towards the girl who shrugged carelessly "dont have much of a choice do i?" Jing lui chuckled for the second time that day shocking Jing Yuan even more "Then it's settled. Guards take her to the infirmary and get her cleaned up. Her training begins now"

"You cheated! AGAIN!" Jing Yuan laughed "now now yangquing one mustn't be a sore loser" The boy scoffed "but I didn't lose! You cheated!" "And what evidence do you have to these claims" A harsh breeze interrupted them causing small pieces to fall out of his hair. The boy gasped and pointed wildly "YOU DID CHEAT! I KNEW IT!" "Of course he did. Sadly the older you get the harder it is for you to change your ways" Another breeze ruffled Jing Yuan's hair as the girl walked towards them. He chuckled softly resting his head on his palm "are you calling me old?" "Are you suggesting otherwise General" She asked, teasing smile upon her face. "Your late for work" Yanquing laughed "-and your late for practice" The young boy gasped as he jumped from his seat and ran down to the training hall "so full of life he is" "yes unlike you" She frowned at him "Lady Yukong and Fu xian are breathing down my neck asking where you and why so many documents are left unchecked" Jing Yuan sighed "can the general not take a break?" "He can if he wasn't taking a break 24/7" "I doubt madam Yukong was breathing down your neck, she loves you too much" The girl hummed and she sat down across him. "True.... But that's only because I'm more responsible than our actual general. Not too mention smarter" "I do not agree to that second statement." "Oh? Then tell me how I've managed to win and this apparent 'lost game'?" He looked down and sure enough his king was cornered. Jing Yuan sighed softly "I take my words back" The girl giggled before placing a quick kiss to his cheek "your getting slow old man" "this old man managed to raise the pain that is now you" She smiled down at him "true and i owe you my life for that. But that's not going to get you out of paperwork" "I do hate paperwork" He grumbled eliciting a laugh from her "come on I'll help you with it"
