In your Spitfire AU, since Zuko is looking after Lu Ten II, what happened to Ursa?

Zuko is slightly older in the Spitfire AU. He was banished at fifteen, his head a little clearer and denial a little weaker than in canon. After his first look through the Air Temples, Zuko decides that if he can't find a myth, he might as well search for the next best thing.

Finding Ursa isn't easy, but in time he makes it to a secluded house in a near-forgotten part of the world. His mom is there, older and stronger and alive.

But she isn't alone.

And Zuko, as it turns out, didn't keep the best company during his search.

When Ursa is discovered and her secrets are laid bare for assassins (for Ozai) to find, she begs Zuko to take his little brother and run. She'll do anything it takes to protect her children, even if that means leaving them behind to keep a target off their back. Ursa diverts attention from them and allows Lu Ten's ancestry to be kept a secret. She orders Zuko not to follow her again, and disappears.

Zuko is left with a little three-year-old brother to raise and a mother he cannot hold onto.

I genuinely cannot describe how deeply DEVASTATED I am about riz being the only one who can take stress tokens for the others. Yes fig is a protector and will fight endlessly for her friends and I love that about her but there is something about the way riz loves his friends. It’s a more subtle kind of love, but just as relentless and passionate and he will take any burden for the people he cares about and bear the weight of it on his shoulders so they don’t have to deal with it without any hesitation. saw a post on reddit the other day that i can’t stop thinking of that was saying that xehanort shouldn’t have gotten a redemption arc in kh3 and like 1. not a redemption arc, he just had a moment of humanity and characterization as he died, different things 2. we have been humanizing xehanort. since his first appearance. the literal first time we see xehanort original flavor is as a kid standing on the beach at destiny islands wishing he could see the world. that’s our literal first encounter with him! and our second encounter is him taking a kid who he thinks is dying to that same beach so he can die in peace! did he also kill that kid? very much so! but he has been a complicated and deeply human villain since he showed up of course as he dies his friend forgives him. of course he does.
