headcanon that percy and annabeth host a 'Grover Appreciation Day' once a month to remind grover how much they value him. they have a picnic out in the strawberry fields where they talk about their future and grover's role in it. they talk about getting married one day and asking grover to be the best man. they later explore the city and take pictures in place they definitely shouldn't. they go to lunch and cause harmless mayhem like they did when they were younger. they end the evening with a movie marathon of all of grover favorite nature documentaries and fall asleep cuddling together on the couch.

I love Grover, and I just want to see his reaction to the ending of Mark of Athena.

Because my guy spent so long keeping this fool of a powerful demigod alive and the moment he's like "hm imma go do my other responsibilities because Percy will be fine now" Percy Jackson gets teleported miles away, his memory erased, in a different camp, almost killed by titans multiple times, on a different quest using a flying ship with 5 new demigods Grover doesn't know, almost dies like 15 more times and then FALLS INTO TARTARUS WITH ANNABETH.

I need a scene of Grover just absolutely LOSING it and wrecking havoc like

"WTF DO YOU MEAN BOTH MY BEST FRIENDS ARE GONE?!?"

"Hera did WHAT?!?"

"ANOTHER QUEST?!?! WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH THE GODS"

Am I the only one who thinks some people are being a little harsh on Grover for "snitching" on Percy in Episode 1? I see some people saying Grover's character has been "ruined" by having him "betray" Percy and I'm just over here thinking that gaslighting your best friend for literal MONTHS on end is just as much, if not a worse betrayal then snitching on said friend in order to get them out of the danger zone immediately. Either way you look at it, Grover betrayed Percy in both versions, and honestly I think Grover's snitching was the kinder route to take; at least Percy wasn't questioning his own sanity for months, but a few hours.

And another thing too is that I'm kind of glad their friendship seems a little tense right now in the show, since I felt like in the book, Percy just sort of brushes off being literally lied to and gaslit by Grover for months. Don't get me wrong, I adore their friendship so much but it always kind of bothered me that they never really TALKED about the gaslighting period and how alone that made Percy feel to have even his best friend say everything that happened was all in his head. I don't know, I always just wanted there to be a scene where they actually talked about it and reconcile. So I'm hoping that since the show seems to be putting tension between Percy and Grover right now, that we'll hopefully get a moment of closure and reconciliation between them.

annabeth seeing the three fates snip the yarn takes away from the foreshadowing moment percy had with regards to the whole prophecy. and the timing feels wrong, like it doesn't have the build-up and importance it had in the books.

- grover casually spilling i’m 24 as they race to go to camp (like grover give him a min he still thinks his dad is jesus)

- dionysus telling percy he’s his dad?? and the way percy just resigned himself to it like yup okay that adds up what else is new

grover and percy are the platonic soulmates. in the most literal sense possible. i mean, literally nobody in the world, including their respective girlfriends, will ever know grover and percy as well as they know each other. and not just because of their empathy link.

grover was the person who was there for percy the most. he helped percy transition from the mortal world into the greek one. he supported percy in tlt when sally was thought to be dead. grover was percy’s first friend. ever. it’s not fair how people keep forgetting that. grover saved percy’s life.

percy literally did NOT hesitate to save grover when he was kidnapped by polyphemus. percy tried his hardest to be there for grover while grover fulfilled his dreams of finding pan. percy and grover travelled through most of the labyrinth together. grover is the foundation of percy’s best traits. percy saved grover’s life.

there is no other friendship in any of riordan’s books that can compare to grover and percy’s. they’re platonic soulmates. there’s no one like them.
