Angst, breakup, depressed Lucifer

The after math of the breakup was harsh on Lucifer.

Meanwhile you began to slowly pick up the broken pieces at the breakup cost. Lucifer just fell deeper into the depression. 

The depression that was the result of the breakup.

You tried everything you could to keep Lucifer happy and completely lost yourself in the journey. When Lucifer was insulting you, you shrugged it off. He is just insecure and doesn’t mean it. Then he distanced himself from you. 

You tried your best to reach after him. And that results into missed calls on his line and lonely nights. Whatever he needs just his time alone, right? 

You reached out to Charlie and asked her if everything’s alright with Lucifer. The betrayal was hard when you found out he has been staying in the hotel and was helping around and doing personal projects.

One day you visited the hotel to speak to Lucifer. The moment you two met eyes, lucifer ran. He fucking ran away from you. 

You cried the whole day and night with an empty bed. You couldn’t help yourself but wonder why. Has he found a new love and doesn’t want to tell you? Was he cheating on you? 

You don’t know what you’ve done to deserve this. 

The door in your once shared bedroom opened and revealed the one and only Lucifer. A bouquet of roses was in his hands as he looked for you. “Y/n?” Your fist clenched on your lap when you heard him calling your name from afar. 

“It’s over.” 

When those words left your mouth lucifers heart dropped and ripped into small pieces. “What do you mean?” He tried to stay calm, but you know this tone in his voice. He is about to crumple. 

You didn’t care, not anymore. 

“I’m leaving.” You stood up and walked outside of the room. No further words needed. 

When you were gone lucifer fell on his knees, but his heart fell even harder. He touched his face, maybe this is all a big nightmare? You wouldn’t just leave him. 

You promised. 

His clawed nails started to dig into his skin and the golden blood dripped down on his white coat. And then he just screamed. Screamed at the pain and loss of someone important. 

The red roses and the small velvet box with a ring in it laid there unmoving as Lucifers blood painted the velvet box gold.

regina spektor is a violent zionist, but i don't think it's constructive or honest at all for people to be like "well her art was always bad anyway." some terrible people have made great art. This idea that artists with unsavory morals can't make good art (1) only feeds into some people's mindset that if they dislike something, that MUST mean there is something ideologically wrong with it, and (2) some people then take longer to realize the true colors of their favorite artists because... good artists can't be ethically bad right?? and so they hang on to their faves and pretend they are so righteous and defend their every move when sometimes. sometimes you just gotta accept that your favorite art was made by somebody you don't agree with, and you have to identify how much you are willing to support someone like that and what lines you have that can't be crossed
