His smile falters.

“Whatever the fuck are YOU doing here?” He grabs her hand and drags her to the empty ground with him, his steps are fast, the woman doesn’t struggle at all.

She only follows behind him.

“What do you mean, Kiel?? This is a college. I’m surprised to see you here.” He halts and a familiar face stands in front of him.

“Why? I study here.” He rolls his eyes at her, all of his excitement was ruined thanks to his ex girlfriend.

“Maya….. fuck off.” He tells her off but the woman smiles, Ezekiel feels like throwing up. It’s too much, he’d rather be inside the halls, staring at you and day dreaming.

“Don’t be so mean, Kiel…. We’ll be seeing each other often now… and who was the girl you were hawking at huh?”

He clicks his tongue. “We broke up, get over it. And don’t you dare talk about her. None of your business!” He almost frowns as he leans close to her,

She makes him feel sick.

“I’ll find out eventually,” Maya, his ex replies, a smirk on her lips as she crosses her arms around her chest. “I missed you, babe.” She whispers.

Ezekiel rolls his eyes at her and pushes her away, “I have to leave.” He looks around and feels relieved for the first time in his at the bell ringing.

But his relief dies down quickly when he spots you looking visibly pissed, leaning against the pillar of the building,

Your cold eyes set on him.

He gulps.

He was fucked.

Instead of going back to work like you intended to do, you stayed home for a few more weeks. Home. You never felt at home anywhere except here, in Gojo Satoru's bed, in his arms, with him loving you as much as you love him. His hands were slightly underneath your shirt as he cuddled you, but his hands didn't wander from your mid-section as he caressed your skin. His breathing was light, relaxed, as he held you close, and you let your eyes close in content bliss. It was only a few seconds after you began to drift off that Satoru sprung up, causing you to jump in alarm. "Fuck Toru, what is it?", you ask him as you half roll over to look at him. You notice he is staring down at your stomach like it had burned his pale hands. "What?", you ask again after he doesn't respond. His bright blues met your eyes before he's dashing out of the room as you lay there completely lost. ~~~ It took him about 20 minutes to come back with a bag in hand and you were pissed, he could've fucking said something before running off. "Toru what is it?", your voice is irate, an irk mark formed on your forehead as he took a deep breath. He shoved the bag into your arms and shoved you into the bathroom, slamming the door once you were in the room. What the fuck. You peered into the bag and your eyes grew wide at a variety of pregnancy test boxes. Fucking great. Satoru could see different shit with his six eyes, maybe you were pregnant. Or maybe you had a life threatening tumor that he just assumed was a baby. You sigh as you open the boxes and let test after test sit on the counter as you wait. You watch the clock in the room as it ticks and ticks, you got more nervous with every tick. What would a baby mean for your career? What would it mean for Satoru? Would he be angry, would he be upset? You let the darkness swirl around in your head and then checked the time again. They should be done. The first displayed 2 lines and your breath hitched. 1 positive. The next test displayed a plus sign. Positive. What put the last nail in the coffin was the final test, written in digitalized letters "Pregnant". You covered your mouth as you slid to the ground, tear welling in your eyes. You always kind of wanted a family, but you couldn't take it if Satoru was upset.... Three firm knocks are heard on the door as he gently opens it. He doesn't even look at the tests, he looks at you first, watching the tears on your face before he is on the ground with you, holding you and letting you lay on him as you cry. His chest is shaking slightly as he holds you tight. "Toru I-", you begin but he cuts you off by shushing you gently. "It's okay sugar", he tells you and you sniffle, finally looking up at him, "hic- Really?", you question between sniffles and sobs and he smiles gently, brushing your hair with his fingers. "Yes really, I'm actually happy. So very happy.", he informs you and the ugly tears start again as you bury yourself back into his waiting chest. "I always kinda wanted a family yknow? Now that i ain't gotta worry about the higher ups, we can live how we want to. You, me, and the little one. The Gojo family.", you hear the warmth in his voice when he says family. He isn't mad, He isn't upset. What a blessing. "Seriously though sweets, let's get married. Be my Mrs. Gojo.", he says it with strong confidence and you nod, your tears flowing more and more.

everything went wrong this year other than reconnecting with my dad

my health got worse and I lost two of my four best friends, the ones I knew longest who I could actually see in person

and I got anon hate messages because someone decided to reblog their salty criticism of something I said about r*kiel that I didn’t even put in the tag because people gotta publically correct someone instead of actually like… making a separate fucking post that doesn’t invite people to be brainless to someone who’s just saying some damn words. and then got a “sorry it came across that way oops” in return. you know who you are and you never deleted the post. it also make me hate the character you went off about so good job on that. say all you want about my maturity level, but im not sending anon hate about m*xxr*ki

I was really hoping my ocs would take off a little too, since I’ve seen people in jjba fandom put a lot of work into their ocs and show everyone and they get like… fan mail and requests for more of them????? but they do art more often than I do and their art looks nicer too so that’s probably part of that. if I could color without my hands hurting… :/ me pouring my heart and soul into what I COULD do wasn’t enough for anyone, let alone myself. Charlie is the only one who believes in my ocs and seems to love them.

i dunno. I keep hoping for things like that but they’ll never happen because it’s me. im not not a great person :/ everyone else is so friendly and im scared to talk to people now. I didn’t use to be. but ive gotten so close to people in the past who told me i was fine and understandable, until i wasnt. im not too much, until i am. I’m not asking for unreasonable things, until i do.

and it makes me worse for the next person, because im STILL mentally unpacking things from someone who did that to me in 2017, now I have to unpack 2024 too when everyone else did it again. as an emotionally stunted 35 year old who routinely gets told I should know better. when that’s… literally the problem.

therapy is slow going on that front. I may never learn how to handle this. hence being scared to talk to people.

2025 is going to be no different if I can’t get my physical health to improve at the very least. im trying. I’ve been going to the gym and doing water weights/cardio since it doesn’t impact my joints.

I want 2025 to be better, I really do. But I know what it’s going to be and I know what’s going to happen. And when that happens, you can look back on this post where I knew damn well.

I don’t even have anyone to spend New Year’s Eve with tonight. that tells you all you need to know.

DA Review Series: Vows & Vengeance

Here we are. The final review. The last little crumb of DA content I had to consume in my year-long journey to read, watch, play, and listen to all things Dragon Age before Veilguard's release.

For awhile there I didn't think I'd be able to to get it all done, but here we are with two weeks to spare. I don't know how I'm going to survive these next two weeks with no Dragon Age media, but I'm thinking of it as a sort of cleanse. A break to prepare mind, body, and spirit for what comes next...

Veilguard.

Title: Vows & Vengeance Writer(s): Will Melton and Jeremy Novik Publication Year: 2024 In-World Year: 9:45+ Dragon Verdict: I had a lot of fun with this series, despite its at times cringe-worthy writing and the occasional lore discrepancy. Is it a wellspring of lore and info? Not so much. But as an introduction to Veilguard's companions and key characters I think it's quite successful. But, successful doesn't equal necessary so you do you, boo.

Vows & Vengeance follows thief Nadia Carcosa as she tries to save her lover Elio from the Fade. He's stuck there thanks to a certain Dread Wolf and the artifact he surreptitiously hired her to steal — the Eye of Kethisca.

After Solas's ritual goes wrong (this dude is a broken record!) Nadia meets Drayden Kiel, a scholar and historian with a particular interest in the Fade. Their hunt for the Dread Wolf and Elio takes them through much of Northern Thedas, and each episode introduces one of the seven companions in Veilguard.

I found all of the companions incredibly endearing and wonderful. Harding is so sweet and kind, but also a bamf. Davrin is strong and noble, but also extremely charming. Taash is an absolute badass and I can't wait to see more of her dynamic in the group. And of course, Neve is a stunner and not just for her fashion sense.

Bellara's episode was an absolute delight — as a longtime fan of the Dalish, hearing one of the People stand up and speak out against their colonizers was very powerful.

Obviously I LOVED the Lucanis episode, even if Antivan nobility having British accents was buckwild. What we heard from Lucanis told us so much about his character and I can't WAIT to get to know him better, if you know what I mean ;) .

Emmrich and Manfred were such a joy to meet. Their dynamic is so sweet and the kindness just radiates from Emmrich. I can't wait to play rock paper scissors with my little bone buddy.

It was almost unfair, honestly, because the companions were so loveable and Nadia... Wasn't. I really struggled with her, for a lot of the same reasons I struggled with Katara in ATLA. But Nadia doesn't have the excuse of being a child.

Nadia came across as very impatient, oftentimes mean, and incredibly short-sighted. She oscillates between being a know-it-all and being utterly uninterested in understanding what's happening around her. I wasn't really rooting for her, sadly. She was just the vehicle this podcast used to introduce us to these other characters.

I must add here that I absolutely loved Drayden and would be more than happy to meet them in Veilguard or other Dragon Age media in the future. But I am glad Nadia's "retired".

I also feel really bad for Elio. I don't feel like Nadia really processed the fact that he died and that it was her fault (and also Solas's). Or at least, we didn't get to hear her process that. And so her eulogy/vow at the end rang a bit hollow for me. Her emotion and her grasp at closure didn't feel earned.

But! I do want to say that shoving all these characters into eight 45-minute episodes had to have been an INCREDIBLE challenge. And, when compared to other Dragon Age tie-in media, this one is definitely not bad. I know I'm glad I listened, and that my Thursday morning drive has been the highlight of my week for the last eight weeks.

But now it's over. Just like this review series is over. The only thing left to do is sit back and countdown the days until we finally return to Thedas!

I love the Story Thieves books so much you guys literally don't get it

This is basically little me going thru the books for the first time:

Book 1: Imma be honest, barely remember it and it is the one I reread the least. But it had such a huge impact on me.Being able to go in and out of my favourite books??? Why wasn't I half fictional too??? WHO IS THIS NOBODY GUY??! I wanna be Kiel Gnomenfoot too, he seems to have a cool life, no fair!!! I want to meet Charm. I need Charm. Wait- no, no way, Owen isn't going to really- HE'S ACTUALLY GIVING UP HIS HEART WHAT@??@

And sometimes, to this day still, I would see a random book on display at a bookstore and go "Wait a fuck damn minute- THIS WAS IN THE STORY THIEVES WASNT IT???"

Hello, I have a question about WMMAP, I heard there is a side story of Ezekiel moving on from Athy? Is that true? And may I have a spoiler about it if there is.

In the novel, there is 5 side-stories : one about Athy’s 18th birthday (focused on Lucathy), one about Athy and Lucas travelling to the world of Lovely Princess (mainly Lucathy too though there is some implied LP!Athykiel), one about Lucas’ past, one about Claude, and the last about LP!Lucas crossing dimensions!

In none of these is there anything that indicates that Kiel moves on from Athy… Because that happens in the main story!

At the end of the novel, Ezekiel realises that he had been unfair to Jennette (they had several fights by that point), who is in an hour of need.

So he decides to leave for the country-side with her until she gets better, instead of staying in the capital (with Athy, who pretty much rejected him several times by now).

Their last conversation goes like this, pretty much: Athy tells him to go “where he belongs”, and that Jennette is the one who needs him.

Ezekiel agrees, and adds that Athanasia is a strong person (and thus doesn’t need his presence). Athy points out there seems to be bitterness in his eyes, but that he seems relieved as well.

King’s love for Lispen (analysis)

Nothing proves to me how much the Demon King loves Lispen like this scene does

You might be thinking, “but wait, isn’t this the part where he gets so angry he PUNISHES Lispen?” 

Why yes, random stranger on the internet, it is. 

In fact, it is one of the few times when he’s so mad we can clearly see the anger on his face.

The only other time we’ve seen him with this expression was way back in the demon world in the flashback

But instead of doing THIS (killing)

He only did THIS (capturing)

Treachery always has the highest form of punishment in any society and institution. In historical times, betraying a ruler or high authority usually entailed torture, execution and crucifixion (see also: What the Tower did with Kiel).

But instead of any of that, all the Demon King did was simply send Lispen back to the demon world.

You can’t fool me. That was no King punishing a traitor. 

This was just a dad grounding his son for disobedience. 

We all like to say that Lispen is crazy for doing the things he did and expecting a positive result and response from the King... and I agree.

But a part of me also wonders what level of favour and status he had with the King before this for someone of his intelligence to have assumed that to begin with.

Sure Lispen may not have gotten what he wanted (and thank goodness for that), nonetheless, he did escape with his life and being which was already far more than he deserved from a political perspective.

Therefore, nothing proves to me that the King loves Lispen like this scene where he had very right and power to punish a traitor, but the maximum penalty enacted for his grievous crimes was just to send him back to his room world. 

(Like, he could’ve banished him to another dimension or something, but no. Just sent him back home.)

Honestly nothing makes me more curious and intrigued to see more flashbacks about the past of the demons’ world, their relationships, and what the @$%# went down back then like this scene does for me. 🙌

Good Ol' Acorn

“Is that- Ha! It is! Good Ol’ Acorn!” the snotty voice broke through the air of the busy sounds of the city. As soon as Anya heard it, her hair instantly stood on edge. Her head turned around trying to see if she could find him before he made his way to her. 

Fate was not on her side as a large arm wrapped around her shoulder, dragging her into a headlock. Rough knuckle found her skull, digging into the top of her cranium.  Anya’s teeth clenched and her eyes went into a squint.  Gods, she just wanted to get to the Bonecloaks and pick up some extra healing potions. It was supposed to be a quick stop and then right back to Elfsong to regroup.

“Ah…. good to see you again, Mr. Elthor, sir,” Anya forced a smile upon her face. Anya grabbed the arm around her neck and tried to pull it off. “Could you please let me go?” Anya’s pleading blue eyes tried to look to the other members of his adventuring party for help, but they all just stayed silent.  The rogue, Kiel and the mage Poppy both averted their eyes to the scene out of guilt. The cleric, Yertie, did not. There was a small smirk on his face. “And my name is Anya.”

“I was wondering where ya were, we got a job comin’ up and I would love to have Good Ol’ Acorn back at camp,” Anya could smell his putrid breath from here.

“I am actually rather busy, and do not plan to go back to my job as a porter any time soon,” Anya finally wrestled his arm off of her, pushing away from him with a small look. “It was a pleasure to see you but I am afraid I have to go now.” She could see her destination, the apothecary. All she needed was an extra few healing potions and then she would go back to meet up with the others. 

“When did you get so cold?” Elthor sneered.  “Ya run into an old friend and business associate and you don’t even hear what kinda job it is, I bet it is more important than whatever ya ot. Acorn.” 

“I assure you, whatever quest you have is nothing compared to what I have to deal with and I do not need to deal with you on top of it,” the words left her mouth before she could even process them, however she meant each one.  “Now good day,” Anya said as she tried to walk away. 

A hand grabbed her wrist. Elthor’s brown eyes glared daggers into her back. “Ya got some nerve now, don’tcha Acorn?” there was a snarl in his voice as he yanked her towards her. He grabbed the collar of her shirt. “I heard that you’ve gotten into some adventures- seems like that has made ya forget your place?” he pulled his fist back. 

“Unhand her.”

All eyes flicked towards the booming voice of the towering wood elf. Halsin’s arms were crossed over his chest and his amber eyes were threatening to become alight with true primal fury. 

Anya had seen Halsin angry before, when he yelled at Kagha for all her actions and his feelings towards this hopeless city. But this was different. 

“Ohhh look at you! All big and scary,” Elthor said as he laughed. However the hand on Anya’s collar did drop her as all of the human’s attention was on Halsin. 

“Explain yourself.”

Elthor looked at him before he burst into laughter. “It ain’t nothing for ya to worry about,” without a care in the world, Elthor plopped a hand down on Anya’s shoulder  “This is all just some play fighting among old friends, you one of Acorn’s new friends?”

Halsin grabbed Elthor’s forearm in a vice grip and yanked it off of Anya’s shoulder. His other arm was quick with Anya, grabbing one of her shoulders and pulling her into his embrace. “You do not deserve to call Anya a friend, that much is clear to me. You would be wise to get out of my sight before I do something I won’t regret.” 

Elthor’s carefree expression changed to utter fear. He cleared his throat and yanked his arm away from Halsin. “Let’s go. Now.” he was the quickest to scurry away. Yertie was the only one who didn’t immediately follow, standing there for a moment in surprise to look at Anya and Halsin, before he followed with the others. 

“Halsin…. Thank you,” Anya said as she averted her eyes away from his face. She pushed her body a bit closer to him. 

As soon as the group was out of sight Halsin looked down at Anya and moved to look her over. “Who were they, my heart? Did they hurt you?”

“I am fine, they were… frequent clients,” Anya said. Elthor and his group were one of the first adventuring parties to have her as their porter at camp. “Elthor has never been…. The most agreeable man.” 

“Hmmm I believe that may be an understatement,” Halsin said before letting out a sigh. “I am glad you are alright… I hope I did not come off as too protective. I know you are capable of handling yourself,” Halsin said as he began to move away from her.

Anya grabbed onto one of Halsin’s hands. “No, I am glad you came when you did. I… never have been the best at standing up for myself,” she said as he moved her other hand to be holding the same hand. “Thank you.”

Halsin’s lips curled into a fond smile as he bent down, giving the top of her head a kiss.  “I will be there for you whenever you need me, my heart,” he took one of her hands into his. “Now, I believe you had an errand to run at the Apothecary, correct?”

“You are,” Anya smiled as she pointed her finger towards the destination. “Onwards, then!” she declared as she began to walk forward, tightening her grip just a little on Halsin’s hand.

I was looking over my old Unlovely (reincarnated!Jennette AU) notes, when i thought to myself that i never thought of attempting to design a new debutante dress for her. The story i have for it as well as how it contrasts Jetty’s actual dress was too intriguing for me to shaft into the back of my brain. So here’s what i came up with.

I always wanted to talk about what i think Jetty, and in extension Athy and Kiel, would wear in the debutante in this AU as they are characters that went through the most changes in terms of character compared to canon. But then i realized i would have to explain so much backstory and relationships between each character for why i chose a specific design for their debutante outfits (hence why only Jennette’s is finished because i still can’t find a concrete design for the other two). That was why i was nervous about pulling it off, but now after two years i have decided that i want to do something fun with this AU, so here’s my design for Reincarnated!Jetty’s debut gown!

First off, the most obvious thing is that the dress is stylistically and aesthetically different from WMMAP and LP Jennette’s debutante dresses, going for a more neoclassical/regency inspired style rather than the rococo inspired dresses we see her in. This is partly due to the fact that this is my interpretation of a Reincarnated!Jetty who is different from the Jetty we know. However, as the picture says, the dress originally belonged to Duchess Alpheus, as well as a prominent accessory in Jennette’s outfit, her purple brooch. A concept that always tickles my brain worms is of Jetty finding family in the people around her before meeting the Obelias, and in this case it was Duchess Alpheus and Ijekiel.

The Duchess and R!Jennette didn’t really get along at first but coming to find out that they have more in common than they thought (after hijinks ensued), they slowly built a bond together and before they knew it, saw each other like mother and daughter. This is also helped by the fact that Kiel insisted that they get along because he thinks they’d benefit having more people in each other’s lives, which also made them closer to him as well.

Unfortunately not a lot of good things last in this AU and Duchess dies and it leaves the two traumatized and depressed. R!Jennette slowly drifts away from everyone because of this, unable to give herself time to grieve due to everything else that she was doing to change the story for the rest of the characters. This is made worse by the fact that in her previous life R!Jetty was already deprived of motherly love so let’s just say she really went through it during this time.

This is where the dress comes in, because the Duchess showed her and Kiel once some dresses she wore during her youth so she can gift them to her children one day, and this dress was one of them. Originally the dress had longer sleeves and looked more “casual” than formal, but not wanting to agree with Roger and Rosalia’s dress options R!Jennette rolled up her sleeves and tweaked the dress to be more “debutante worthy”. This did not go well with them, but it was too late for anyone to do anything about it so in the end she went with the dark blue dress that once belonged to the woman she thought of as a mother, and looking great in it.

The dress is a simple dark blue with short sleeves and lighter gloves as contrast. It's monochromatic color scheme gives it an antique and vintage look compared to the other dresses. I’m not sure what that drapery thingy you wear with a dress that goes over your arms but i gave her that to complete the look, as well as a small train for a flowey look. I also like to think that R!Jen changed the waistline so to better fit in with current trends too. Now i want to get to Jetty’s new choker, because personally i think it makes the whole look better and gives it a tiny bit of edge. I mentioned that the brooch in the middle also belonged to the Duchess once and this is important because in my AU, Duchess has purple eyes and black hair. To Jennette, it was like the Duchess never left their side.

In typical Jennette fashion, i wanted to incorporate bows in it because i think it would be cute if it was a consistent thing for her to like regardless. But unfortunately i could not for the life of me find a way to do so without it feeling tacky (perhaps the Duchess’s fashion taste calls for less bows because she might’ve hated them). So i opt for a simple bow with a tiny nod to Jetty's green eyes. I wanted the dress to contrast her previous debut dresses, like how Athanasia’s debut dress changed because she changed the tides of her fate.

The reason why i went with a more simpler gown reminiscent of the neoclassical/regency dresses from the early 1800s was because i kinda liked the fact that it came after the French Revolution, and before that was rococo. It's more simple yet still elegant and i thought it'll fit with what i was going for with R!Jetty's dress. She’s not here to make a statement like Athy, she’s here because the story calls for it, but also to investigate something about the Imperial Family, for plot reasons.

That is all i have to say now! I want to complete Athy’s debutante dress for this AU now because i really think that she needs something else to suit her more cunning and dark personality. And Ijekiel also undergoes a change after his mother’s death too so i’m thinking of giving him a new look for funzies (and also give him something from the Duchess too). I have been thinking about this for a while now. We all know Athy likes pretty faces and that she's easily swayed by the two mls and we also know that Athy hasn't realized her feelings for Lucas at the moment (this is not about them) but I am more curious at how she truly feels for kiel in the past which is the childhood years up to the time she was at the Alpheus estate. I used to think she actually liked him at the time like a little crush because she keeps asking Lucas to send her to him a few times and always bickering with Lucas about how kiel is actually a gentleman not a pretentious one (chap 75) so I was like, yeah she likes but then re-reading their moments in the garden: in kiel's pov it's a special memory that he always talked about it to Athy how much it means to him but then Athy's pov it's an embarrassing one (chap 64) and whenever he brings up the past it makes her uncomfortable. So it used to confuse me until I read it again where she stayed at his estate and she always says he's a good babysitter and he's as considerate as before (when he helps them with anas). So I just came to the conclusion that maybe she was fascinated (if there is ever the right term for that lol) by his kindness and his face card is just a plus point and she never actually liked him and this reminds me of the tv show of my country the "Maria Clara and Ibarra" where the main protagonist was sent inside the book by her professor and there she she meets the male protagonist and live with him for a while as his cousin, and I find this similar to Athy, the main protagonist never received a love from her father and the male protagonist of the book is very kind to her that maybe at some point she actually like him but at the end she herself realized that what she felt for him was familiar love (so he's a father figure to her). After comparing Athy to her it makes sense to me. And when you pay attention to Athy whenever Lucas did something good for her reactions are very to kiel, and that the one she loves is Lucas. It has always been Lucas. I wish their relationship was emphasized more in manhwa tho. Oh but I don't know about the novel, there was a scene where she said she never allowed herself to like kiel (I'm not so sure about this, I didn't read the novel) so at some point she actually liked him even just a little���🏻 (like 0.01%?). Who's with me?🙋🏻‍♀️ I'm actually here for this.

Honestly, I'm stucked into thinking about Lucathy ever since the main story has been completed.

I don't think Athy felt anything for Ijekiel (or Lucas, for that matter) when she was that little. She only met Kiel twice (when she first saw Jennette, and again shortly after), so it's not like that encounter had a huge impact on her (if anything, seeing Jennette impacted her way more). Plus, she was very little (or old, if you count her real age).

I do think she started to feel attracted to him after he came back to Obelia. But I also don't think she had that much contact with him while she stayed with the Alpheus. That never happened in the novel (which I like better, since it shows how independent Athy was surviving alone with nobody's help, but I get why Spoon made that narrative decision), so it's something just manhwa-canon. And she mostly spent her time with Jennette. Athy did have a lot more encounters with Ijekiel in the novel, and those novel-only scenes impacted her more. I actually wish we had more Kiel scenes in general, he was great in the novel. Though yes, I agree that the main thing that stopped Athy from seriously considering him romantically was Jennette. In that sense, Athy prioritized Jennette's feelings over her possible romantic interests.

Anyone who has started fights over ships and/or characters has been blocked by me already, and will be swiftly blocked if I see it, so that's not an issue. It's dumb to deny that Athy felt attraction towards Ijekiel, though not everyone agrees to which degree. And it's also dumb to deny that Athy fell in love with Lucas and ended up with him. Anyone can ship whatever they want as long as people aren't toxic to others about it.
