I've been surrounded by Pokémon basically my whole life. My dad was a professional battler (he actually was in consideration for one of the elite 4 spots, but ultimately wasn't chosen), so he had quite a few competitive partners. My mom comes from a breeding farm in Galar, and after my parents met, they founded the Orram-Farm near Lacunosa Town. So... There are a lot of cool mons over there, but the one i consider my starter (and who was officially recognised as such) is Coffee, my Koffing. My grandma brought him over from Galar when i was like 5 or 6, and we immediately bonded. I loved how round and floaty he was (and still is and i still love it). Originally, we weren't allowed to see each other because it's dangerous for a kid to be around a koffing all the time [which is the right thing to doy don't get me wrong], but i always snuck out and he was always so nice and tried to puff as little as possible around me. It was really funny, because i noticed a few times when i left, he let out a huuuuuuge cloud of gas. When grand left, i threw such a huge tantrum until she and my parents agreed to let Coffee stay. And finally when i started my gym challenge, my parents agreed to let him be my starter, because at this time we were basically inseparable.

When I turned 10 I really wanted to start training pokemon but honestly was pretty scared of all of the starters in my region so my parents decided to get me a little pup Rockruff and I named her Jax and she’s who I consider my starter and she’s been with me ever since

I'm gonna ramble about some headcanons and lore for them under the cut, continue with caution bc I'm insane

These two are my brainrot rn, don't even joke lad. And I wanna tell yall their name meanings too bc I like them a lot 🥹 Zephra's means "west wind" derived from Greek, and it's the feminine version of Zephyr. Tyrian was a type of purple dye used by the Ancient Phoenicians, huge huge HUGE thanks to my pookie bear @miothefish for helping me out with his name!!! Also he has Lisa's butterfly earring and you can't see bc of the angle but Zephra has the rose that went in her hair holding her ponytail <3

I'm also making a massive family tree for the characters as a go along, and just the jeanlisa tree is taking up half of the canvas bc of the KoF and Sumeru characters since Cyno is their uncle and the rest of the gang are their honorary uncles 😭 I'll be posting that once the series is done/all the requests are finished/I run out of ships and otps I enjoy

Here's an alternative version with some more info on most of the characters I wanted to briefly mention in their relation to them; Tyrian likes calling Eula his aunt too even though she was never really considered one for them so it's kind of like her unofficial title she pretends to dislike but she loves it and dotes on Tyrian 🤭 She and Diluc also helped train Zephra with a claymore and Diluc kind of became a parental figure to her in her teen years after Lisa's passing 🥺 She also feels like she's outshined by Jean and that she's not smart or powerful enough to follow in Lisa's footsteps (something that Lisa wouldn't want anyways bc it led her to her death 😔) rip zephra she's just like me fr

And yeah some Kaeya angst bc he's still going thru it I fear, and Jean is single mombossing but she's worried for zephra which me too dawg, im afraid to say she might be cooked 😦 Zephra is also kind of like a weird mix of Lisa when she was her age and Jean, where overall she's well-mannered and kind but she can be competitive and feel the need to push herself too much and pull a few strings to get what she wants from time to time. Tyrian is a ray of sunshine tho, he has not yet witnessed the horrors 💔 I do think that Jean is also a lot easier on him than her mom was with her so that also helps. He's very shy tho and wants to stick with Zephra or Razor most of the time, and they both have some nasty tan lines from going out with Razor and Klee and Fischl a lot 😔 Cyno also freaking loves them and dotes on them and Tyrian is getting a TCG addiction because of it smh, Cyno is also one of Zephra's favorite people and when she's in Sumeru she stays with him and Alhaitham (bc in my universe they are married ough I love cytham)

And (I think?) Klee physically and mentally ages slower than humans so I think she'd be technically 9 or 10, and Zephra is left with babysitting duty most of the time if she's home on break or smth 😭 Klee really looks up to her tho

Also, I wrote Tyrian's last bullet point like he was super young when Lisa died, but I think he was around 7 so he actually remembers Lisa better than I intended it to sound, he was just younger than Zephra (who was 11 at the time) and just didn't have as much time with her as Zeph did, but his most fond memory of Lisa was reading with her and she probably taught them some potion-making skills too.

I think there will be some abyss angst in here too at some point, since I hc Lisa to be probably an Abyss Lector/Harold (I forget which is which) um so thinking that Zeph and Tyrian experiencing some not normal things happening and Jean doesn't know what to do since Lisa also didn't really know what that dog in her was until it was too late 😔 That's what Kaeya's for tho since he's like the heir of the abyss???? Go off king. Also some touchy ragbros angst bc Kaeya is scared for Zeph knowing how close she is with Luc and he doesn't want him to push her away because of her being from the abyss or smth (they mostly made up but it's still a fear in Kaeya's mind both for him and Jean's kids)

I think that's all I wanted to touch on for now?? Mainly just thinking about domestic fluff and angst all the time now 🥺 Zeph not being able to be open with Jean bc she feels like a disappointment but Jean would literally actually die for her and shes proud of her no matter what ough im going to lose my freak dawg guess who my favorite fankid is it's super hard ik

YES FINALLY OK SO!

The trainers on the routes are actually posted there for a reason! So many kids take on gym challenges each year and often times the route they travel can be potentially dangerous. Whether its because of the wild Pokémon inhabiting it or because of the terrain itself. So trainers are able to take up community service positions called Route Guides! Route guides help watch over the trainers taking the challenge and will intervene if there’s any danger. They usually help guide people towards their next destination, help guide trainers who’s teams have fainted to the nearest pokecenter, or they’re just there to provide a challenge. The trainers are assigned based on skill level. You don’t have to be a battler to be a Route Guide! Lower level battlers are assigned to the easiest routes where the trails are well trodden and the Pokémon are accustomed to human presence and won’t bother anyone. The more experienced trainers are assigned to the tougher areas so they have a better chance of being effective help in a bad situation. Route Guides also make sure people are strong enough to pass through. Trainer wise, they’ll offer a battle and if you can beat them, you’ve proven you can handle the area! They’ll still keep an eye out for you, though. If you’re not a trainer and you’re just passing through, they’ll provide directions and help or in tougher areas, they’ll help guide you through! The reason some kids are Route Guides is bc its a community service position its an easy way to get hours for school or other activities, and it helps them gain experience in battling and in life!

But yeah I love this headcanon of mine SO much and for me it makes the Pokémon world so much more community-oriented which is what it rlly is in the first place, this just adds another layer to it!

What if Diluc wasn't mad about Kaeya being a spy for Khaenri'ah, and was instead mad about something else Kaeya also confessed to?

Kaeya is/was a spy for Khaenri'ah, but his skills for spywork did not go unoticed by the KoF, leading him to become a spy for them too.

I could imagine Kaeya doing undercover work for the Knights of Favonius regarding fatui activity, only for his intel to bring him back to the KoF, and even worse, to Crepus and the delusion he purchased.

The KoF will be harder to figure out, but he could ask Crepus about the delusion. He can't help but worry because he knows of the dangers based on his intel.

He confronts Crepus, and Crepus tells him to keep it a secret from Diluc.

That...is another father in his life telling him to keep quiet and hide things. Kaeya might have felt a sense of dejavu- his bio father and Crepus are the same, asking him to hide something so crucial and dangerous- he'd do it anyway.

because he's a loyal and loving son that follows orders

That means Kaeya technically had a part in getting Crepus killed- by not telling anyone about the delusion.

Did he perhaps felt relieved he no longer had Crepus's secret to keep? And then felt guilty for thinking so because Crepus died? And if Diluc still doesn't know that he knew...doesn't he have to tell Diluc about it? It's part of his top secret mission for the KoF so he shouldn't be saying anything about it but...

...he has to tell Diluc or else the guilt would eat him up.

And of course Diluc would get mad. Why didn't Kaeya tell anyone about what Crepus had done? If Kaeya told him about it, then maybe his father wouldn't be dead. He wouldn't have had to kill him with his own hands.

Kaeya expected the anger. He did not expect almost getting killed for it.

And after Kaeya receives his cryo vision with clipped wings, Diluc's anger would have been depleted and he would surely feel guilty for nearly killing and actually leaving Kaeya permanently scarred because Kaeya was just following orders. (maybe he doesn't deserve to be in Kaeya's life after what he'd done)

While Kaeya really would feel bitter and spiteful about how Diluc reacted, but he doesn't really blame him because he thinks he deserved it for keeping said secret that got Crepus killed and the fact that he was sent to them for a nefarious reason in the first place (maybe the Ragnvindr family would have been better off if he didn't arrive in their life)

They don't hate eachother, they just didn't like the events and the choices that led them here, and they don't know how to reconcile after what they've done to the other.

tldr: the real secret is Kaeya knowing about the delusion that Crepus got and its dangers, and him keeping it a secret from Diluc- a secret that costed Crepus his life.

maki: baiken fan that actually plays baiken. will pick potemkin if she fights naoya's chipp, so he gets filtered in the most disrespectful way possible and post highlights on youtube

miwa: excited to finally play ggst because Johnny is in the game and is still grinding the most ridiculous johnny combos in xrd :)

yuki: plays giovanna because she's her type. her way of playing is very straightforward but will start to do crazy rushdown pressure and lock in if she plays against kenjaku

kashimo: the only guy that stuck with sin because he's not a quitter. doesn't complain about how the character is rn but also happy for season 3 for any buffs. that one guy that follows sukuna around in the lobby and keeps getting filtered by his happy chaos

kenjaku: has played through all the other guilty gears with i-no because they really liked i-no's character and continues to play i-no. has also picked up jack-o in strive

yuta: plays kyle. only person that thinks ky is not boring on this list. yes, he picked the only one in strive's roster that is married. tries to use his dragon install because of the lore importance behind but gets punished a lot for it. makes it work, though.

🗝 Oof, this is tough LMAOOO. I have so many fave antags, it's genuinely hard to choose. I think imma have to go with Meruem from HunterxHunter. I don't talk about him nearly as much as I should, but he's the only villain who has drove me to literal tears and it's really hard to get me to cry lol

🕷 This is also pretty tough... I don't see a whole lotta ppl talking about Kensou enough unless they're talking about him and his love for Athena (which, fair, is a big part of his character and a long running joke), but he has a cool set of powers lore wise and some decent crossup moves gameplay wise. I would love for him to come back in KOF 15

Runner up: Bang Shishigami. I think the fandom treats him similar to Kensou. I see a lot of ppl flattening his character to just a goof who loves Litchi when his backstory focuses so much on war, grieving over his dead master, and rebuilding his homeland from the ground up. Bang's lore goes crazy

How much is your character like you? (can't find the emojiiiiiii)

Tix is very much a self insert in the way I'd love to explore the world of Pokémon in particular. Meaning i do love poison types ooc (Koffing is actually my favourite of them all), I'm not too interested in the gym challenge though i like theorycrafting, both competitive teams and lore alike, so Tix is quite interested in watching battles and also the Pokémon science, particularly poison types of course. i also dream of having my own little café with my friends irl sometimes. I also do love roleplaying but i can't stay in character consistently if i don't agree with them. I'm genuinely impressed by people who run multiple blogs like this and can stay in character.

The most notable difference between me and Tix would be their addiction and passion to coffee, as i personally despise the drink. I do like the theory behind creating all sorts of drinks, so this gives me the opportunity to channel this interest. The second big difference is that they're way more outgoing than me. It took me like 2-3 months of following the rotomblr scene until i found the courage to make this blog, and in person it's only worse lol.

if pokemon go was around during marble hornets oh you KNOW they'd all be on it
