After the whole fire scene, instead of killing Ashfur, Hollyleaf spreads a rumor that Ashfur started the fire and the uproar at the gathering is the clans shunning Ashfur. Causing him to flee in the end.

There is the added option of like, Ashfur flees into the tunnels with Hollyleaf on his tail and the cave in happens and Ashfur dies.

been struggling to draw lately so i went through some older stuff of mine and found this, only to realize i never posted it. i don't imagine anybody's still doing stuff for this weird social media-clan au thingy anymore, now that the meme of it has died down, but anybody's free to these names for whatever uses they want, if they want them :)

Geckopaw and Prairiepaw are siblings. Yewtail is only a so-so mentor at the best of times, so Foxfire effectively mentors them both. However, Prairiepaw has swooped in to support Yewtail when they decide to do something stupid and unsustainable on multiple occasions. they really shouldn't have been granted an apprentice tbh. i recently re-read Fire and Ice in the original warriors series so the parallels to Graystripe being a poor mentor to Brackenpaw are intentional

Skypelt came out of retirement to mentor Duskpaw, since they serve such similar real-life purposes. Skypelt doesn't understand everything their apprentice says or does but is generally supportive of such a similar application

Marsh-singer, Whitestep, and Thymeface are all siblings, and are collectively the youngest of the warriors (not accurate to the actual ages of the applications, but eh). to say they are all total gossips would be an understatement. they're also really interchangeable and forgettable. like the Runningwinds of apps.

depending on how positively you want to view the whole "reincarnation" trope some of the canon warriors books have, you could say that Tickpaw is a reincarnation of Musiclight. Otherwise, they just look really similar.

all of the "Cats Outside of Clans" cats are kittypets, with the notable exception of Furzebark, who is a banished rogue with a concerning amount of influence on the Clan(s?). maybe there's a whole band of rogues who are based on insidiously/surprisingly influential applications or online entities! various appstore/playsotre applications could fall under this category, as well as like. roblox, apparently. which is beyond weird to me since that's a game and not a wider application, but it got scarily profitable during lockdown, so...

Redpaw was Yewtail's sibling, but died during their apprenticeship. Probably to the same thing that killed Gravelpounce, but i have no idea what that would be

Flaxflower is generally considered WAY too old to still be alive (since the real internet explorer died a bit ago by now), but since he'd "find a way to be late to his own funeral", he has yet to kick the bucket.

the whole twittypet drama is EASILY the juiciest gossip the clan has had in ages, ESPECIALLY the half-clan checkmark-kits. in-universe, im interpreting the poor management of twitter that's been driving it into the ground irl as a negligent cat owner unintentionally driving their pet to spend more time outdoors with other cats (namely, dashclaw) to get away from them, which resulted in kittens. drummed-up anti-kittypet sentiment aside, many clan cats looking in on the situation just feel bad for her.

Vinewatcher is the most consistently "present" of the StarClan spirits, but is also the most consistently unhelpful. numerous potential prophecies later turned out to just be inside jokes of theirs they decided to continue rehashing into the afterlife. Quarrypaw, having not gotten much experience identifying what makes a legitimate prophecy yet, finds this exceptionally annoying behavior, and would like them to stop. They do not.

Okay, but what if Brightheart and Thornclaw were Rosetail's kits?

I was watching a youtube video a few weeks back that suggested that splitting Frostfur's TPB litter into two separate litters would fix a decent amount of the inbred ThunderClan family tree and today my noggin went "...huh." Yeah Rosetail was technically an elder in the first book, but she doesn't even show up in the allegiances and she died protecting the nursery - Warriors retcons have been based on far less. Also, in the loose and assumed time periods between a queen's age and still having kits, pretty sure Speckletail and Snowkit are technically older than Rosetail could've been, so we're rolling with it. And I am far too tired to calculate whether this change vastly fixes the level of relatedness of subsequent cats, I just wanted to make silly drawings of cats.

In the words of Moonkitti, "[she] lived a life obsessed with boys" haha. But also pretty true. One of Rosetail’s most consistent character traits is her fascination with gossip surrounding mates and kits - so, in my little hc world, maybe she took an out-of-clan mate/tom to have kits. That, along with her kits being kin to Thistleclaw, could also be a driving force in Bluestar refusing to make Brightpaw and Thornpaw warriors on time - yeah I know that Whitestorm is more closely related to Thistleclaw than the apprentices, but logic is not one of the strongest players in Bluestar's mind rn so we're moving on

Thornclaw could've been loosely named after his uncle, but thorn over thistle keeps the reference much less obvious. Also, because he's no longer related to Lionheart and Brackenfur, I'm taking the liberty of a little re-design for our boy. TBH, to me, being golden brown did nothing for Thornclaw other than label him as "not-Brackenfur." For Brightheart, the argument could be made that she should've been named after Sweetpaw, but Sweetpaw was already named after a cat, so maybe Bright- is a reference to her sister in that regard. Or both her children are named entirely separate from her family.

Buzzardclaw is yet another Kit Save! WindClan is RIDICULOUSLY tiny, I had to SCRAPE this one up. Buzzardkit is mentioned in only a single page in Po3 Book 1: The Sight, where he is soothed by an unnamed queen who reveals his name. I decided that his mothers are Snapstorm and Stoneclaw, and the unnamed queen who soothed him was Snapstorm.

(THOUGH I am considering taking the unnamed queen and making her into a full character, tbh. I'm not kidding, this Clan is unacceptably small and it is ALL hands on deck. Maybe make her into a permaqueen type.)

WindClan NEEDED more sillies, because the majority of the cats in it are pretty harsh and serious, so I decided that this one was going to be sort of a hopeless romantic gossip girl type. He's really close with his Mi, Snapstorm, who's an Aftergathering regular at the Lake and likes trading. Because of her, Buzzardkit was getting acquainted with other cats from a young age and just kinda learned to play up how cute he is.

He grew up into a pretty kitty, too. Both of his parents are handsome mollies, and he managed to somehow get FOUR colors from between them. White, brown, black, and gold. It makes up for the fact he has very few scars, because he's a wuss.

He uses his charm and appearance to get people to do what he wants, but he has absolutely no ambition to follow up with this. What he wants is a nice blanket made of mole hide, or a good bit of gossip, or competitive scratchstone tips. Probably becomes a popular Honor Sire in his later years.

Alibaba perceives you differently from his brothers, Ahbmad and Sahbmad, who treated him with disgust or indifference. Ever since he moved into the royal palace of Balbadd, you were the only one among his siblings who actually acknowledged him as a brother, which he was grateful for. You quickly get close to each other and start treating him a younger brother - you couldn't care less whether you had different mother or the fact that he grew up in the slums and you in the royal palace. Despite everything, it was easy for you to get immediately attached to him. Compared to the relationship you shared with Ahbmad and Sahbmad, you considered Alibaba to be your brother much more than those two, whom you only shared a last name with. The same way you treat him as you younger brother, he starts seeing you an older sibling, a figure he didn't know he was lacking till the day he met you. Despite being treated with harshness and comptept by the others at the palace, Alibaba knew he could rely on you, asking you for advice whenever he needed it. You weren't going to refuse to help him, he was sure of it. On the other hand, he felt guilty and didn't want to bother you, almost feeling unworthy of your attention. Once you confronted him on the topic though, he started being much more straight-forward towards you. Once he grew accustomed to the habits of the royal palace and getting used to being an actual prince of Balbadd, your relationship doesn't change much. Two siblings, sometimes quarreling and teasing each other, other days being the closest of friends, gossipping and confiding secrets and insecurities. Alibaba though can't help but keep you distant - he doesn't want you to see him as a whining little child, he wants you to know he's strong and that he can survive on his own, without relying on you anytime he goes through some challenges. He looks up to you and wants you to be proud of him.

Aladdin got close to you in a similar way to how he got attached to the Kouga clan, it was almost istinctive of him, being drawn to your feelings of affection. After living on his own for so long, with Ugo as his only companion, he was excited to meet someone like you. He may appear kinda clingy from the outside - and he sort of his - but it's just his way of experimenting a world he doesn't belong in. He loves seeing how easily you move in this world, how you seem to know everything he doesn't. Aladdin sees you as someone he can learn from, who will hold his hand if he ever needs it. Aladdin didn't know how it felt to have a sibling before meeting you and he's not even completely sure yours is a sibling-like relationship- It doesn't really matter to him though - he feels safe when you are with him and all the fears residing in his heart seem to dissipate when he remembers you're there to encourage him. Even when you are far away, Aladdin knows he can rely on you, that you'll be there when he needs it the most. Everything feels new to him and sometimes he doesn't know how to react, but he is sure of one thing: he loves the feeling of having a family. He is part of something, he isn't alone, not anymore.

would be about how he got lost. it would be about how firebeetle wanders with gravel, the prologue would probably be him having his kits?? idk, but the whole mini inbetween moon gravel and firebeetle things would be the whole book basically. by the end of the book, it would be nice if fire got back to camp with gravel. but yk, whatever happens in the comics!!!

this one would def be about bliss’s self doubt, about like,,,, everything?? bliss does doubt herself a bunch, it would go through his story of how he gains confidence over time. a major plot point would be her and gold’s fight about kits. and it would also tie into firebeetle’s story kinda, bc when gold and bliss get back to camp, fire’s gone. but it would focus more heavily on blisswhistle’s life. her relationship with her parents, her self doubt, her relationship with gold maybe?

Stormwhisper’s Sight

i’m not too sure about this one, but i wanna say that his book would be about what he saw before lilac died. it would be about his visions as a medicine cat, how it scared him, how he could confide in spark. they would be soooo close, besties. this would have maybe a bit about cresskit?

would be about his relationship with blisswhistle, because they’re really cute. it could be about how he’s opening up star’s heart? how he’s getting less.... closed off? idk, i’m not really certain.

this would most definitely be about the metalden colony’s rule of having no closse relations. gravel having to make a choice of her colony, and fire’beetle. it would have all her hardships, and experiences, and memories. how she falls in love with fire, and how she realizes that she should’ve seen how important he was to her. how she should’ve left for him sooner. i would love if the book had some like, gravel getting used to clan life, and how she’s a bit stiff around everyone, especially her kits. but in the end, she gets comfortable with them, and loves them like a real parent, even if she didn’t know them at first. how she apologizes to everyone, how she adapts to her new life after being awkward and nervous.

Spiderglade’s Regret

would be about his relation to the metalden colony. and i think it would be cool if we spent most of the book in the dark forest, not the canon df, what YOU depict the dark forest. i dont know a lot about him. i wanna see how he copes, how he thinks and acts.

Yesss I love this. I love all the names! (Especially Lilacpaw’s Limit, that made me chuckle thinking about Lilacpaw just being like “I’m at my fkin limit” hehe)

I’d love to explore this idea more tbh, especially since the comic isn’t in a written format so I can’t really do special one-off series or books focusing on individuals. Unless my plans for this change in the future, what you see in the comic is pretty much all you get (plus asks). If this weren’t the case however, I’d love to write a novella centered around Spiderglade. Growing up with bugs family in the clan, bugs training as a mediator, leaving the clan, meeting a…certain someone… his time elsewhere… his death. The people he visits after bug dies.

If there’s any other cat I would write a novella for, it’d be Gravel. Or Pearlstar. Both would center a lot around family, love, loss, and new beginnings. A Sparkspeckle novella would also be super interesting once we have a lot more of her life depicted in the comic, and Paradiseskies might be an interesting perspective to explore! Spiderglade would definitely be a more prominent character in a Blisswhistle novella, mostly during rainbows childhood growing up (before bug leaves)

-Nightheart: the angry mommy issues man himself. love him. this is probably the closest we’ll get to a trans character in warriors. also surprised no one mentioned Bristlefrost when he failed his assessments as i remember Bristlefrost failing at least once. they could’ve made a good connection there.

-Honeyfur: pretty design i think, got salty at twigbranch once and haven’t heard from her before or since. 

-Bayshine: a sweetie, good brother-ish figure for Nightheart in my opinion.

-Shellfur: never knew much of anything about him but yay he’s got a gf now. happy for him. 

-Bramblestar: just step down already man. (i know he does, i can’t wait till i get to it).

-Squirrelflight: can’t wait till i get to Squirrelstar!!

-Bumblestripe: a jerk as always.

-Finchlight: a lil too over enthusiastic about the “greatness” of thunderclan. really shows how arrogant they can be tbh.

-Dovewing: she’s not deputy, but i see her as sort of like a clan “princess”, y’know?

-Owlnose: just a silly lil guy.

-Mistystar: was arguing and literally fell and died. best death ever. rip the queen. 

-Duskfur: still mad at her over Mistystar’s death tbh. 

-Reedwhisker: poor man. all i gotta say.

-Jayclaw: died of “unknown causes” is a lil suspicious. right after Curlfeather mentions his death, the book says “a heartbeat later Curlfeather went on more briskly-” (18) and she changes the topic. i’m wondering if Curlfeather killed him after maybe he disagreed with her evil plans? could’ve pulled a Hollyleaf and killed him to keep him mute.

-Frostpaw: poor lil fluffy kid is traumatized, i just wanna give her a big hug.

-overall, this book was amazing and so far i might like this arc even better than the broken code, we’ll have to see

7. Why does Rook agree to join the Veilguard?

why not? that was really the only reason, at first. elowen was already in deep shit with strife after losing the map, not to mention however many other leaders who disagreed with him. staying would've just aggravated everything more. joining varric and the veilguard gave him a reason to leave as well as something to do in the meantime. and the more he learned about what varric was doing, the more determined he was in his decision and the more seriously he took things

10. Does Rook know their history? Do they know of the HoF, Hawke, the Inquisitor?

yeah!! in order of most to least knowledge it goes inquisitor (nailah) -> hawke (everett) -> HoF (maerin). obvs they know nailah personally, being from the same clan. they've heard the entire tale of the champion from varric (they won't read the book itself - they prefer when he tells it) and other things about everett that didn't make it into the book, but they don't have much of a link to maerin. they were only like? eight or nine? during the fifth blight i think so they wouldn't remember much about it. nailah's probably told them a few stories about maerin from when he was staying at skyhold after adamant though

19. What is Rook’s love language? What love languages do they respond best to?

hmmm. i never rly understand this question tbh sdkgjsdg they're definitely 100% a "food is the way to my heart" kinda person (taurus 🫵🏼). words of affirmation is probably the highest one though for receiving 'cause they have... issues. the reassurance that they're doing good and aren't disappointing their loved ones is important for them

as for giving, they're best at acts of service/quality time (always willing to run errands with companions) and physical touch, and they struggle most with words of comfort because sometimes they just do not know what to say, at which point they either own up to that (ex. "...i don't know what to say here" to bellara) or they make a joke to lighten the mood (sometimes very ill-timed)

kind of answered here! the meditation room can stay the meditation room honestly, i want elowen to be up high. the inside is like organized chaos because they love collecting things. all natural light, very leafy, probably some kind of waterfall feature. the tree goes straight through the middle of it. similar to harding's where it just feels like the outdoors if someone put a roof on it. when assan starts spending time in there with her, the lighthouse adjusts her room to have a little landing pad/balcony for him to come and go easier <3

Ikemen Vampire Part 13 - Vlad Route

I am so so excited!! Vlad is so beautiful and I'm even more interested in him after le Comte's route, so yay!! Off to a great start with the beautiful CG tbh, it's so prettyyyy!! I don't even blame the heroine for being so attracted to Vlad's ethereal beauty that she's been trying to look for him ever since she saw him haha, especially since he gave her a huge bouquet of flowers, like who wouldn't swoon?! Vlad smiling is the sweetest thing ever, I die for his smile. It's so adorable how Vlad told the heroine to work for him one hour every day after she finishes her shopping, and he's just been taking her around and trying to cheer her up and play with her lol. He's so sweet. Legitt, how can you not fall for Vlad when he plays the violin, invites you to dance and have fun? He is an angel🥲 Omg Vlad can tell jokes, I am dead, he's so cute. And he's so thoughtful and I love how he gives her flowers always representing something meaningful.

The heroine really is always so reckless. I kinda wish they didn't reuse the trying to save Vincent's painting scenario again in this route but seeing Theo and Vincent so concerned over her was really sweet so it's okay. I find it so sweet how the guys were actually gossiping about the heroine getting close to a guy outside all this time and how they wanted to introduce themselves, and how nice it would be if this made her decide to stay with them in this world. They're so cute!! Which makes it all the more saddening that this person had to be Vlad. I can't imagine seeing the person I love so calmly deal with a person like a "wilted flower" and yet look the same as usual. But I can't bear to hate them, especially remembering how Charles asked the heroine to please not hate them😭 I'm glad Napoleon talked to the heroine and discussed whether they could really just write off Vlad as just "evil". When Vlad came and gave the heroine the single red rose, I couldn't help but soften my heart for him. Like, I've been taken by Vlad the first time I saw him, but seeing the pure and genuine person he is that keeps his promises regardless of what happens makes my heart so happy yet hurt so much. He's the one who had to see the desolate future, the one who experienced it first hand and know how it feels to be all alone in a world of nothingness, and it's just impossible for me to blame him for his actions knowing how "kind" he is.

The heroine is brave for jumping into that door with the warped space not knowing if she'll be able to arrive at where she wants to go or not. Kid Vlad is very cute. Considering how the girl in the portrait looked exactly like the heroine, I'm not surprised it was actually the her who time travelled to the past and thus completing the time paradox but I guess it does make a bit more sense as to why Vlad listens to her. It honestly breaks my heart to think about Vlad having to face the fate of his whole family and clan massacred by vampire hunters at such a young age. A child with no one to rely on anymore and no one to care for him, and yet despite everything, he still turned out so kind. I wanted to cry when Vlad thanked her for finding him (in the closet when his parents said they're playing hide and seek) and said he'll find her next time. If they make the heroine Vlad's reason for living all this time and to not hate humans but instead the crimes they commit, how an I supposed to happily do the other routes where she doesn't end up with him? 😭 But I guess considering how Vlad is, he'll probably be happy for the heroine as long as she's happy. Considering she was the one who saved him when he was a child, I guess it's understandable that Vlad would be more receptive towards her ideals and the future she wants because he's only living in this world because of her existence, so how can I really fault him for changing his goals because of her? And I guess seeing her again helped him think that he can believe in humans again since she has always been as kind as she used to be in his memory.

I spent my gems and got the premium story for chapter 24 and I really enjoyed seeing the heroine tell him she wanted them to live side by side together and protect the world together because she didn't want him alone to carry the burden as some sort of divine child or god that is deemed to protect this world, but she wants them both to protect this world because they love both humans and vampires and they want everyone to live happily, just like his original wish, and I couldn't help but feel touched by that. Life was so difficult for Vlad because he was always 'alone', so even though his wish was probably the same, the methods he decided on changed because he didn't believe in people like he could back then, so I'm glad he's found the heroine again. They can support each other. It was so funny how the guys basically had a round table discussion on where the heroine would stay lmao. One thing I really liked is that Vlad was the one to ask the heroine to become a vampire so they could spend eternity together. Usually, the guy finds it difficult or they hesitate because it's a life of torture but I love that Vlad has confidence that they'll love each other for eternity and knows the heroine feels the same so him asking her to become a vampire felt like a strong profession of love rather than a request that I would be scared for the heroine to accept. I believe in Vlad's love for her and I believe in her strength that no matter what happens, they'll be able to overcome it together. I wish we got a snippet of their vampire life though haha.

Overall, even though real life ended up interfering and I took a long break from this route, I have to say it didn't diminish my feelings for Vlad at all! I really liked Vlad and his route was good. I enjoyed how we got to see how kind Vlad was and how that kindness caused him to go down a path others didn't accept. I empathised with him and loved him understanding his choices even if it hurt many people. I think what I loved the most was seeing the young Vlad and how all along, he has been looking for the heroine and also waiting for her to find him. I loved how they both cherished each other as much as the other did and I liked how the her from the past and the her in the present saved him and gave him hope to believe in the kindness of humans again. I won't say the route was perfect, but everything that I didn't like, Vlad's personality and sweetness more than made up for.

He never lets others bother him it seems, even when he talks all lesson to the boy beside him and tries to ignore him. You could look past the Ichinose Clan part, that was the least of your worries. After all, even Mahiru Hīragi could look past that.

you see her around him a lot, and they seem to know each other and get along well. She's always smiling around him, and while he doesn't exactly look like he's having the best day of his life he looks happier to hear from her than most other students. You suppose he would be with a smart and pretty girl paying attention to him, let alone one quite so impossibly beautiful as her. A once in a century genius. How could you ever hope to compete with a person like that?

it was a nigh impossible task, so you give up, and you watch. You know that he is only yours in your little daydreams, and the moment you blink them away and return to reality he goes right back to being Mahiru's as he always was.

since you joined the army you had at least a bit of a liking toward him, though it was quite minor at first, nothing too big. You just liked how nice he was to you, even helping you out at times when he noticed you were struggling a bit with your weapon. With his help you got closer to him at least in your eyes, the confidence he oozed enough to make you feel safe and in good hands. You trusted he knew what he was doing and it kept paying off to trust his advice.

it kept you asking for more of his help, knowing that slowly the help was becoming less of your focus and it was slowly shifting to the man himself. Something about him is so handsome, yet also quite cute.

then you heard he had once had a fiancée, and you realised that if that was everything he wanted in a partner that you would be stepping way out of your league. She was a Goddess put on earth in the form of a high school girl, perfect if not for her one fatal flaw in which she was dead after committing acts that disgraced her family. That explained why nobody spoke of her until you heard it from the girl's own sister.

slowly you were inching your way further into his life, and slowly you will inch your way back out. Even as a dead woman, You know that to that standard, you are still just a bumbling and confused little child.

a bad little habit you have with Aoi is the gossip once work is over, going to shower and change in the showers together one stall apart just to talk about various tidbits you'd picked up throughout the days. You'd learned many…interesting things that way. Most notably however was in the midst of washing your hair, letting the water wash out the product when she so happened to mention that she might just have deeper feelings for Kureto than she usually lets on. It's more than just respect, at least as she put it. You almost got shampoo in your eyes.

of course you couldn't blame her, her feelings are something you can quite easily understand in fact, it's just… How are you supposed to be pitted against someone like Aoi who is loyal to a fault at her job? Thinking about it really…she is quite beautiful, and her family is in higher standing, she does anything that he asks of her, most importantly she is strong. You think if anything Kureto would value power, wouldn't he? He probably wouldn't be fond of protecting his lover all the time out of necessity, he'd prefer someone capable of doing that themselves, and while you certainly could, Aoi could do it better.

you can hear her as she knocks her hand against the wall of the shower stall, "Did you drown in there?" her voice brings you back again, and you give a quick no in response. You're out of the shower soon enough. It'd be easier to forget the conversation if not for the fact you both pass him again on your way back to the dorms and finally notice how she looks at him.

even without the threat of her own skill over yours, you're not sure you can take that away from her.

It's so funny to imagine Ferncloud desperately trying to keep Ashfur from spilling the beans like it's hot gossip at a bad moment, like, he witnessed the attempted arson murder of Villain!Thornclaw AND Hollyleaf killing him by the river, and he's just thinking about it like,

"it would cause soooo many problems if I said this right now"

Yeaaaars later it'd finally come out, as Imposter!Thornclaw takes over ThunderClan and Ashfur dramatically reveals, "It was YOU all along Thornclaw! I should have told them that Hollyleaf killed you FOR A GOOD REASON"

(he could sire Blossom's kits but tbh I'm out here with a vet snipping any older tom who comes in a 4 mile radius of Blossomfall, she should just have a sireless litter imo)

who is antlers?

i’ve still got yellowjackets on my mind, so i’m just gonna ramble on abt who antlers may or may not be.

1) i’ve said it before but i think there’s a strong possibility it’s shauna. with shauna being characterized as an “average every girl” who more or less plays second fiddle to her team captain bestie as a teen and then having the most typical, ordinary life outta the four leading ladies as an adult, she seems one of the least likely. and that’s the point. shauna is more mysterious and subdued than the other leads as an adult, it wouldn’t surprise me if that’s purposeful misdirection and in the wilderness, she was actually in charge…potentially living her best life, even, dare i wonder? happier to have the others at her command and finding meaning in being a leader, rather than where she is now with a mediocre, cheating husband, and a bratty, snobby daughter. shauna gets absolutely no respect in her housewife life, but maybe in the wildness she was more than respected— revered as the antler queen.

in the third episode, shauna has a “royal pine” tree air freshener in her van and when the girls find the cabin, she touches the antlers mounted on the wall. it could be foreshadowing of what she will become. 

2) i do not think antlers is taissa. i think that would be a bit too obvious. taissa is a determined character, resilient, ambitious. she isn’t afraid to take charge or challenge others. she’s also willing to go to extremes. in ‘96, taissa was the one most concerned about allie’s poor performance on the field. she takes winning and being on the team very seriously, she wants everyone to bring their a+ game and when allie fails to measure up, she wants to ice her out and proceeds to get rough with her on the field. imho i don’t believe taissa meant to break her leg— she seemed genuinely unnerved when allie was injured that horrifically —but i do think she wanted to put pressure on her to step up. as an adult, tai is still very goal-driven and serious about her campaign. we also see her taking charge in the wilderness in ep3, butting heads with jackie, proposing the vote like a reasonable leader, and guiding the way to water.

and that’s why i think it would be a little too obvious if it was tai? everything about her personality and her present career screams, “leadership.” she could be the antler queen (or leader of a different faction, given that it seems the girls will be splitting into clans) but i’m doubtful. 

3) i do not think it is travis for a few reasons. this show isn’t really abt the male characters. they’re there, yeah, but they’re not the main event. the show is titled “yellowjackets” because it’s about the yellowjackets girls’ soccer team. he isn’t one of them. i don’t think someone as important as antlers clearly is would be one of the male characters. also, while the garb is bulky and it’s admittedly difficult to visualize a physique beyond the layers, i *think* antlers cuts more of a feminine silhouette?? on that note i find travis rly irritating and tbh, i’m disappointed to know that he survives to adulthood. that doesn’t have anything to do with antlers’s identity, but yeah, that guy rubs me the wrong way, fuck his irritating ass. i don’t think it’s javi for the same reasons. also javi is the youngest, too young to be in charge. 

4) could natalie be antlers? she seems rly unlikely, possibly the most unlikely. nat is very kind. she is against icing out allie from the start. when the girls are going down the line complimenting each other, she compliments lottie on never talking shit unless ppl actually deserve it, presumably bc gossip bothers her otherwise. nat’s the one who seeks to comfort travis after his dad dies, and gives him a pass for taking extra food bc of it. well, okay, her being attracted to him could have something to do with that too, but i think we’re supposed to take away that she’s a genuinely nice person. probably not the one who’s going to be in charge of ritualistically devouring her former teammates.

…but that could also be misdirection. when the ritual happens, it’s cut between shots of natalie at the bonfire. making natalie the focus between the shots of the ritual, where antlers is seated at the center. desperation drives ppl to do depraved things sometimes, to become things they never, ever wanted to be. survival often means you don’t have the luxury of making *good* choices anymore, just whatever choices are feasible in your position. stranded in the wilderness and perhaps so starved you feel hollow, even a gentle soul could be perfectly capable of cannibalism.

5) laura lee, prolly not? idk. she srsly thought god cosmically punished them all bc she mentally (not even verbally) called her piano teacher a “cunt.” so if that’s the way ur logic goes, uh, what exactly do you think would be the punishment for breaking the cannibalism taboo and conducting a feast upon human flesh??

but again, desperation does things to ppl. laura lee might transfer her christian religious conviction to whatever religion they’ve practicing when they’re roasting spike pit girl. become just as dedicated to a different kind of higher power.

6) i don’t think it’s impossible that antlers is jackie. their coach mentions in the first ep that jackie is team captain bc she has influence. at the bonfire when there’s fighting, she is the one who manages to reel everyone in and get them to play nice. come the crash it seems like her leadership is indeed falling apart, she abandons van (understandably tbh) to die to save shauna instead, and van (also understandably) loathes her for it after the fact. misty seems to take control for a lil while, bc misty is the one with the most medical training and tbh her sociopathic tenancies serve her well here, bc she isn’t as disturbed by the carnage or the horror of their situation. misty fucking rolls with it, lmao, she’s practically excited to tell whatshisface (i forget his name, whoops) that she cut off his leg, thus saving his life.

then it’s taissa who takes charge to lead the team to water, while jackie is largely inactive, wanting them to remain in place as she hopes for a rescue that isn’t coming. even shauna can’t side with jackie on that one. so it seems like we’re meant to believe jackie’s influence is falling apart in the forest and perhaps it is, but perhaps that in itself with turn out to be a misdirection. when jackie has some time to cope with what has happened and adjust to the new reality, she may just reassert her grip over her influence and become their antler queen.

there is no jackie in the present timeline so we’re seemingly meant to infer she’s dead, but what if she just…stayed out there in the wilderness with whatever followers (possibly even worshippers??) who chose to stay with her.

don’t really have enough thoughts on anybody else thus far. 🤔
