Character Ask: Ziggy Grover

First Impression

-Definitely falling under the average green ranger stereotype of being the silly but less engaged member of the team, though that is quite alright cause he'll probably give some positivity to the team due to the state they are in via the season

How I Feel About The Character/Impression Now

-.....I love this twink and honestly me and everyone else should love him, the fact that he was in a mafia, managed to escape, gave medicine and supplies from said group to orphans in needed AND GOT OFF SCOT FREE WITH HIS TOASTER BOYFRIEND speaks volumes.

Favorite Moment

-So far has to be that scene between him and the cartel where he's got that serious face, I'll have to go back and fully complete RPM but seeing Ziggy look so cold is amazing.

Idea For A Story

-okay think of this....Ziggy as a Peter Pan type character who was reborn in another world that raises orphans or children who've passed early and they live in this alternate world with magic, at the same time he's an assassin that's teaming up with Dillon and Tenaya(who also have powers based on fairy tales) to steal ancient treasure from a tyrant king in order to rule the rule, Once Upon A Time walked so this can run.

-Ziggy/Dillon....obviously, can't have a happy twig without his grumpy muscular emo boyfriend.

-Ziggy/Scott, Ziggy/Flynn. Both these work really well in my opinion.

-Crackship idea if this crossover was ever a thing...Ziggy/Jarrod/Dillon/Casey, imagine all that chaos together with those four like(I'd pay to see a one shot of this tbh). Heck not even a crossover needed because JKP exists in the RPMverse and assuming the entire team is alive then this could fly, crazy twinks and the emo duo.

-Ziggy/Dr.K, honestly feel like he understands Dr.K and they are really close when it comes to hearing each other out, plus Ziggy might actually get her to enjoy some hobbies.

-Ziggy/Casey...seriously Disney fucked us over from ever getting this interaction, be happy with marvel I guess but imagine the send off you could've had.

-Ziggy/Tenaya, she needs earplugs every time he talks about Dillon...

Unpopular Opinion

-Kinda wish we got even more of a backstory for him or seen Ziggy encountering other green rangers. I feel like both him and Trip would get along quite well to be honest.

One thing I wish would/had happened in the show

-....We serious? That Jungle Fury/RPM crossover obviously because ALL THOSE INTERACTIONS AND SUCH WOULD'VE BE LEGENDARY.

-Even if he didn't end up with Dillon we should've had Ziggy kissing some guy.

-Imagine a scene of Ziggy hacking Venjix down with his axe after he found out the program's intention for Dillon, or if Venjix succeeded and Dillon died...it would've been brutal like Ziggy would be shown Venjix why the cartel kept him around🗡🗡🗡🗡🗡

Headcanons

-The RPM team technically has sentient zords because in reality they hold secret Engine Souls like their Go-Onger counterparts. This is actually a result of humanity evolving and without the vitality from Earth's nature so their animal spirits evolved into Engine Souls, thing is the team hasn't unlocked them but when they do the zords will be able to talk(a little fib of my JFAU movie arc idea with RPM cause we deserve that crossover).

-Ziggy's fingernails can turn dark green because of Venjix exposure, some humans after being exposed to the virus during their apocalypse developed small traits via their survival(Scott having sharper canines, Summer being able to detect metals for tools, Flynn when growing out his hair has white highlights and can absorb radiation, Gem and Gemma can see people's dreams and Dillon can purify dirty food and water).

-Ziggy sleeps with a huge dolphin as a pillow or just something to hold whenever he's sad. If he can't morph then he'll fill it with rocks and beat down venjix monsters with it.

-Sometimes when he would leave the dome(before the world began to return to normal) he'd walk miles until making it to the ocean since it wasn't fully destroyed and enjoyed watching the waves. Plus that spot is the only one in the world where the stars in the sky are still viewable.

-After RPM Dillon, Tenaya and Ziggy ventured out into the world to see what needed to be fixed, they built a railroad and it oddly began to glow with energy. This led to the team getting powers via trains and soul power with imagination, humanity's will to keep going(ToQger adaption), villains born from the deceased malice of humanity aim to take advantage of this world and others leading to the team having bigger stakes than last time.

Dude I just sat down and read through the entire blog from start to finish and it's such a cool au. 10/10 I'm mentally unwell over all of these dynamics and the story. Taylor and Bryce having a sibling dynamic is the biggest brain bullshit I've ever seen and Bryce now being the one to have Texty (WHOM I HOPE WE GET TO SEE I LOVE THEM SO MUCH) and the crossover with tnm was actually what dragged me into the blog because I was curious and I don't regret a thing. Plus I love Ava here she's amazing she's perfect wonderful. And Owen's characterization is so fun

Also even if we didn't get to talk to him at all it was so silly having sketchpad be able to hear asks for 1 moment. I like to think he could hear everyone the whole time but was like "Yeah this is normal :)". It's also funny watching people jokingly pit Bryce and Owen against each other like you fools the backpack has two hands

this is a noncanon crossover between cal (my lil dude) and their elze'ith, taking place a few hours after this (very good read!)

CWs: uncomfortable healing magic, blood, slight vomiting, implied past abuse.

Most people in Cal’s situation would have been delighted. 

Whisked away from their cruel captor, enlisted into whimsical adventures with two monster hunters that had taken a liking to him. Traveling the land in search of a cure for his condition, the protection of two heroes by his side, who loved him like family. 

Unfortunately, Cal happened to like being trapped in a gothic castle, serving the vampire who sired him. Whenever Bryn tried to talk to him about how his Lord saw him as little more than a possession, Cal replied it was nice to be wanted, and the conversation rather forcefully ended there. 

Currently, he was justifying what he’d done by reassuring himself that this would surely, on some level, result in his return to the closest thing he had to a father. After all, he knew enough of the world to know that grace is often repaid, and what could be more of a gesture of goodwill than warning someone of their impending demise by way of vampire hunters? 

He didn’t think too much about why he wanted to return. It made his body ache and filled his head with that exhausting fog, so he just ignored it and carried on. He needed to get home. To the castle. To his Lord. 

And besides, if he’d learned anything from his Lord, it was that vampires of status spoke to one another. Correspondence, mostly. But they were always, always in touch. 

That in mind, he’d crept through the door at what appeared to be just the right time. His Lord, after all, was well-known, if reclusive, and on his Lord’s status alone Cal had earned a place at a fine party. 

He hated those sorts of affairs. 

But still, it was one step closer to home. He felt a little out of place, tugging his shirt’s collar to keep it snug, sitting in a corner and watching everyone mingle. 

These were his people, his kin, though by technicality he was little more than a child to them. Coasting on his Lord’s status, deflecting comments about how sad it was that his Lord sent a servant or how pitiful that he couldn’t come, and asking questions that got tiring after the first three rounds of faux-politeness. 

People nudging him, pointing to Lord Denholm and his servant, saying he should live a little, when was the chance he’d have this opportunity again?

It was a miracle he’d been able to shut himself up in the corner. He never thought he’d miss being locked in a convent’s dungeon. 

So when the guests left, and his gracious host waved him off to find somewhere to sleep, Cal was more than happy to scuttle away. Unfortunately, he hadn’t thought to ask about where he could find something resembling guest quarters, and so he found himself wandering about darkened halls, trying not to be afraid. 

And one room called to him. Back home, at the castle he longed to return to, he knew every room. Every corridor. But here he was afraid, flinching at every sound. So when one room had a door slightly open, a warm light emanating from it, he didn’t think to be afraid. All he saw was a place where he could at least get his bearings. 

Slowly, he opened the door just wide enough to slip through. A bedroom, it seemed, large and well-kept. Composed like a painting, eyes leading him to the bed, and- 

Oh.

Oh.

It was the pretty thing. The one he’d seen while he shrunk away in the corner, the star of the show. Though from what Cal had seen, he didn’t seem to be entirely cognizant of that… or anything at all, really. He was under blankets, looking like he’d been tossed down and tucked in, and Cal immediately knew that he was very likely not supposed to be here. 

That doesn’t stop him from taking a few steps further into the room, sleeping at the foot of the bed. 

The man laying before him is ethereal, and Cal can’t quite work out if it’s because of his long white hair splayed out like a halo around him, pointy ears, and the way the half-moon scar traces around his eye like it’s trying to say something, or if it’s how he’s laying on the bed, looking like he’s been through hell and then some, the prettiest green eyes Cal has ever seen half-lidded and staring off into space. 

He recognizes the look. 

He chooses not to say anything. 

Instead, he sits on the floor. Just so he’s in the man’s line of sight, back to the wall, staring. 

He can wait.

After what feels like an eternity, when he’s counted every bauble on the shelves twice, the man’s eyes shift, locking onto Cal’s. He wasn’t good at reading people, but he was pretty sure that was a flicker of recognition. Not of knowledge, but Cal knew he’d probably been spotted among the many.

They stay like that for a bit, the elf’s eyes on him, Cal frozen like a statue as he tries to figure out what to do. Out of habit, his chest rises and falls, the only movement in his cold, dead body.

Eventually, he stands, but he’s not sure if that’s a choice he made or his body acting on its own. Cal takes the few short steps over to the bed, to stand over the elf, hand moving to hover over him slightly, twitching almost imperceptibly with a hunger he was still learning to suppress. 

The man’s eyes looked up with a terror that was palpable, but the rest of his body exuded resignation. Cal hesitated. What would it have taken for someone else to look upon him like this? 

(Had anyone… looked upon him like this? He would have been asleep. He had no way of knowing.) 

He shook the thought from his head and doffed his glove. Pitying himself would get him nowhere. But pitying this one was a path forwards. 

“Easy,” he mumbled, not really paying attention to what words fell from his mouth, just trying to break the painful silence. “I’m, um. I’m not here to hurt you. It’s okay.” 

Shit. He wasn’t supposed to be here, doing any of this. He was supposed to be at the castle, reorganizing the library, cleaning the eternal mess of his own volition, napping in the moonlight. But no. He was here, and so he had to help this poor creature. And yet he couldn’t spit out more than a fragmented little sentence in an attempt to rid the elf of the muted panic. 

At the glint of his fangs in the dim light, the elf seemed to resign himself to his fate, shifting around to uncover his arm from under the comforter, moving to expose his wrist. It took Cal a moment to realize the mistake, and in a panic, he used his gloved hand to press the elf’s arm and torso down, the other one over his neck. 

In healing those used as feeding cattle, Cal had learned, the neck artery was the most important. It was fed on most often for a reason, so encouraging blood replenishment from there was the best place to start. 

His hand fumbled for a second, before it found the fang marks he was looking for- apparently his gracious host habitually fed from a slightly different spot than Cal’s lord- and pressed his hand down, trying not to suffocate the poor thing. 

A small scuffle ensued, before Cal got his footing and began to breathe. It was messy, it always was when they didn’t sit still like Bryn did, but as he mumbled the words the elf began to calm down, recognizing that this would not be an attack, not be whatever vile thing he was so accustomed to.

He simply settled down and let Cal heal him. 

The process wasn’t always pretty. Cal’s magic, he’d been told, was potent, but not polished. His mana flowed from him with an intensity that healed the wounds, flowed from his mouth and hands to bind itself into the elf’s body. Cal closed his eyes, chanting quietly under his breath, feeling the warmth return under his hand, the flesh and veins knitting themselves together. From what he’d been told, returning blood to a body didn’t hurt, but it was a weird sensation. Almost itchy, but not quite. He felt the transfer of mana and energy flow through him, like a rush of water. 

Unfortunately, the fact his magic was more powerful than it was delicate, and Cal opened his eyes at a choking sound, seeing blood leaking from the elf’s nose. 

Shit.

Instinctively, Cal pulls him to a sitting position- he’s done this before, and he knows what’s next. Frantically, he looks around, but can’t find anything to catch it in time- shit. Fuck. Shit.

A cough, wide eyes, and suddenly there’s blood pouring onto the comforter, staining the white sheets red as he coughed up half a lungful of blood. Though… Cal could be wrong, but he swore he saw a flicker of pale teal in there- mana. That was bad. 

“Okay. Hey. You’re good. Just- keep going. Nothing to worry about.” He lied, trying to be reassuring. “I just- too much of a good thing. Breathe.” He considers flashing a reassuring smile, but that seems like the opposite of helpful right now. 

The elf sputters and coughs up blood until it’s gone, and while he’s taking shaky, panting breaths, Cal is staring at the comforter, which is very ruined. This is going to be a lot to explain to his host, he thinks. 

“Hey. Uh. It’s- it’s okay. That happens. It’s all out now, right?” When he’s met with a nod, Cal exhales a breath he wasn’t even capable of holding. 

“Who are you, anyways?” He’s careful to keep his voice calm, sharp, balanced. He’s shown enough weakness. He needs to gain control of the situation. But the prolonged silence is knocking him off-balance. 

Eventually, the elf speaks. Even his voice is soft and ethereal, and he only says one word. 

“Elze’ith.” His voice sounds scratchy, like he hadn’t used it in ages, though for all Cal knew that could be the blood in his throat. “Elze’ith.” Cal repeats. Another nod from the elf- Elze’ith- and Cal returns the gesture. 

“I’m Cal. It’s nice to meet you.” Practiced politeness, from years of reading etiquette books, as well as his Lord’s tutelage when the man was in a more friendly mood. “How do you do?”

Elze’ith looks like he hadn’t felt anywhere near this good in ages. He also looked like he wasn’t quite sure where he was, what was happening, or why Cal was here. Understandable, really. From some of the things Cal had seen, some of the people he’d healed, this was a fairly good reaction to such an extreme change of bodily health. 

“I’m a guest,” Cal clarified. “Just for a little bit. Just until I can go home.” 

The silence remained, so Cal fidgeted, removing the comforter. He pulled the large quilt that sat at the foot of the bed over Elze’ith, before looking at the comforter he’d dumped on the floor. Frankly, it was unrecoverable. Even if magic was used in the washing, it’d stain. He decided to fold it up, setting it in a corner and ignoring the whole issue. 

He felt green eyes upon him as he sighed, moving back to the bedside, where he met the man’s gaze. Fidgeting again, he took it upon himself to fill the silence. If Bryn or Sh’han had been here, they’d know what to do. He kicked himself internally for abandoning them. Sure, he needed to return home, and they’d just have likely killed his host, but they would know what to do in this situation. They wouldn’t leave these long, empty silences. 

“Feeling okay?” Cal asked. Bryn would probably ask that. “I, um, saw you back there. You didn’t look happy. 

Elze’ith settled back into the plush pillows on the bed, looking skeptical. So this was how it felt. Cal was far more used to being in the other situation, near-catatonic and having to be taken care of. It just looked like this elf was a lot less stubborn than he was. He was almost thankful for it. 

“Okay.” A pause. “You… live here?” A small, tired nod was given in response. That was getting somewhere. Bryn asked people questions about their situation a lot. It seemed to help. 

“Do you like living here?” 

A sharp shake of the head, and then one of Elze’ith’s hands went up to support his head, before Cal gently pushed him down, resting the elf’s head on the pillows. He wanted to ask ‘why not’, or more details about the situation, because he hadn’t seen anything like this from his Lord- at least, not that he could remember- but they seemed to be on a yes/no question basis, so Cal simply settled himself with another question.

“You’re alive, right? Not like me?” 

The nod came slower. ‘Could you call this living?’ the elf’s eyes seemed to say, and Cal shrugged internally. He could ignore the pang of emotion in his stomach. 

“That’s good. I… my Lord doesn’t keep ones like you. I don’t know why anyone would. It just seems cruel.” Cal talks as he begins to stalk across the room, fretting over something. He wants to help, but he isn’t sure how. After a moment, he remembers something, and rushes back to get his glove again. “I’m trying to go home to him. I could… I could take you. He’s nice. He could make you like me.” More silence.

“It’s not life, but it’s freedom. Or, I…” Cal sits on the bed. If he was in this situation, he’d hate being talked to like this, he knows that for sure. But he can’t stop himself. He knows he should shut up, he should have left the moment he saw Elze’ith in the room, and yet, and yet and yet he cannot. It infuriates him. 

“I left them behind to come here. But I have friends. Friends who kill monsters. Maybe… maybe once I am returned, I could send them a letter. Tell them of you.” 

He trails off, trying to stop himself from talking. A warmth touches him, then. A hand. 

Cal knows better than anyone the hollow aches these promises leave behind. They’re impossible to fulfill, at least in his experience. But the pleasant feeling of making them, of having something sweet to believe in for a little while… he could indulge it. Pretend, for a little bit, that this was possible. That these were more than sweet lies that would dissolve into sugar water eventually. False hope was better than none at all, right? 

“I could stay here,” Cal offers, “if you’d like. On the floor, beside you.” It’s like nothing to offer- he’s used to doing it, after all. Though, there is a pang of guilt in his heart. After all, he’s only doing this because he prefers to sleep near someone, and prefers to hold a hand while he does. He chokes out his next sentence before he can stop it. 

“Hold your hand so if anything happens, I’ll be alerted.” Elze’ith pauses. 

“That would be nice.” 

Cal lights up visibly, and before he can stop it, a genuine smile spreads across his face. Elze’ith had spoken again! It made him… it made him feel proud. 

“I haven’t had anyone to cook for properly since I was taken from my Lord. Maybe I’ll make you something tomorrow. And then… we can figure something out. I promise.” When he says it, he almost believes it.

So hi! Yes, hello. I came up with Jimothy several years ago and was the one to submit the prior propaganda to the blog. These two have been in so many scenarios in my mind, y'all have no idea. They are so small. They are both mentor figures (more or less). They, uh, small. Even outside the ship dynamic, I can imagine them being amazing friends. Did you know that prior to their Disney work, both of their original voice actors (Cliff Edwards for Jiminy, Edward Brophy for Timothy) were in a live-action film with Buster Keaton? That has nothing to do with the ship, that's just a fun fact. I would have more to say, but like I said, still sick. Please vote Jimothy.

A brand new post featuring our dear little plant known as Herb Kimura (aka; Herb Cookie) 🪴 I felt like trying out the Character Pairing Meme Chart for quite sometime, just like most meme templates that I've looked at over the years 🎀 Now finally managing to get the idea to use this particular chart, and succeeding in filling up every given spot that's showcased 💞 Feel free to tell me your thoughts on any of these choices that I made 🌿 - - - - - - - My NOTP: Herb Cookie x Carrot Cookie I've seen it a few times in the Official Cookie Run Comics, however I felt like it was a bit too cliche between the two Prefer Herb and Carrot as friends or even co-workers in the same garden My BROTOP: Herb Cookie x Gingerbrave Mostly going on the fact that I made them the only two characters in my CRK Kimura AU that can break the 4th Wall And while they don't get along that much in the aforementioned Cookie Run Comics, both Herb and Gingerbrave act like siblings that fight as much as helping one another out My OTP, Fluffy Pairing, and Underrated Pairing: Herb Cookie x Dark Choco Cookie This became a thing all because of my CRK Kimura AU, but even so I still see this becoming a thing Herb in the Cookie Run Comics is the son of a goddess, while Dark Choco in the Cookie Run Games (especially Kingdom) is the son of an ancient ruler It's not written or drawn that much by most people that are into the Cookie Run Franchise, but I see them being the immortal version of "Soft Boy x Tough Guy" Ship I can imagine Dark Choco being pretty protective and showing his soft side to Herb when he gets the chance to hangout with him, an underrated and oddly wholesome ship My 2nd Favorite OTP: Herb Cookie x Sparkling Cookie Despite it mainly being fandom based, I can see this making a lot more sense than other Herb Ships that revolve around him with other plant-themed cookies Think about it as two soft but hardworking boys that understand each other's flaws and simply enjoy being together as boyfriends Plus both Herb and Sparkling seem to be on the more peaceful side of things, and would fight only to protect those they care about and protect each other My Platonic Pairing: Herb Cookie x Cherry Blossom Cookie Originally my OTP, but I started to lose a bit of interest in this particular ship It's cute though, and would be considered as my 3rd Favorite OTP which revolved around Herb Cookie The dynamic between Herb and Cherry Blossom is still amazing in my opinion, showing the malewife and the girlboss concept of ship My OT3: Herb Cookie with the rest of the Juice Bar Regulars Broke the rules with this one by making it into an OT4 instead cause I didn't want to leave behind anyone from that particular CRK Bond Just four dudes chilling by the Juice Bar, enjoying time together as a lovably romantic group This can be a Harem Ship as well if I were to include Cocoa Cookie, a playful person that gives me a bit of girlboss vibes My Crack Pairing: Herb Cookie x Crunchy Chip Cookie Kinda blamed this on the fact that I would be see as Herb Cookie in the Discord sometimes, and same thing goes with a friend of mine who would be shown as Crunchy Chip Cookie in the same website This is more of my 2nd BROTP since I'm personally not into being in a romantic relationship and would rather have friends But I see this as the Crack BROTP, mostly because of my interactions with my crunchy friend with it being a bit too silly at times My Guilty Pleasure Pairing: Herb Cookie x Cream Unicorn Cookie Both healers that look like they would NOT hesitate to fight back for the sake of protecting those they care about Cream Unicorn would dare say "Shantay You Stay" to Herb, although they would question whether or not to say the same to Eclair Cookie My Crossover Pairing: Herb Cookie x Rantaro Amami I drew Herb dressed up as Rantaro once, and I'm planning to do that again! Or I could draw them hanging out together, since they're both adventurous but also pretty chill characters My Overrated Pairing: Herb Cookie x Clover Cookie Similar to the ones shown as a BROTP, I just see these two as great friends and close as siblings Just like with Carrot Cookie, I don't like Herb pairings that have him shipped with other plant-based cookies, and Clover is no exception to that Not to mention that I see these two in a romantic pairing with other characters, which would be Dark Choco Cookie and Licorice Cookie respectively

I'm already late to the party, but for the other anon, my observation is that many Max fans like Maxiel. Also, it was one of the top ships, iirc, before Lestappen happened.

As for liking or shipping Lestappen, even though they don't have much interaction: I guess it's their karting days lore and not liking each other before. Also when they do interact esp on podiums, drivers parade and conferences: it's cute. And for me, when I get into RPF for each space/fandom, I ship people mainly for the vibes/lore/compatibility. Like the other anon said, there are many popular ships out there that never interacted canonically but just make sense with their personalities and backgrounds (Superwholock, the crossover of Disney/Dreamworks/Pixar ships like Jelsa, a lot of popular HP ships comes to mind as well).

And I think for me (and I've seen multiple Lestappen accounts saying the same over time), most of those that get into shipping/RPF Lestappen don't actually wish for them to get together. We just take the real Max and Charles and use them as a basis/template for our Max and Charles story characters. It's like playing Barbie or house but with F1 drivers. Lol (idk if i'm explaining this well) but this is also I think the reason why there are a lot of AUs for Lestappen that for other people don't make sense. After all the F in RPF is fiction. Mostly just wish for them to interact so we can use those in our silly little stories.

yes if I remember correctly before lestappen were the most written for f1 rpf ship on ao3 maxiel held that spot, and since Charles wasn’t on the grid when these 2 were teammates that could explain why older Max fans would prefer the ship with Daniel.

as for the lack of interactions but potential for stories through archetypes compatibility I’ll just link to the post you referenced on how people can enjoy ships differently here because it was such an interesting perspective! Charles and Max have had some cute (fruity🤨) moments but there’s also some drama and tension in their past so I definitely see why people like to ship it.

shipping to me is absolutely not about wishing the people or characters to get together in canon, it’s more of a view on what if they could develop into a romance organically. I couldn’t tell you why lestappen specifically got so popular in f1 rpf despite their relatively limited lore (backstory goes HARD though but the evolution has been pretty limited, hopefully as you said we get more interactions because the potential is there) or any other ship that relies more on compatibility of the personalities. the Barbie comparison is pretty great actually, using the template as a basis to build up new natural events.

my vision is that what makes a fanfic a specific ship’s story is the relation to canon events, because without those moments that differentiate their ship from any other possible combination of their archetypes personality I feel like I could replace the characters in the story by any of those iterations of archetypes, which kind of takes me out of the “what ifs” of how a relationship could develop between the people in the ship. sort of like “yeah, this story is about lestappen but since you’re not referring to the inchident or their on track battles or the terrible winks or the respectful appreciation of each other’s talent or anything else about them I feel like this story isn’t really theirs, and I could replace the characters with any other ship that is blunt guy/guy-next-door and it wouldn’t be shocking.” obviously people enjoy shipping differently, but that’s probably where my original confusion for why lestappen were so popular stemmed from, since with such a wealth of complex developed driver relationships in f1 I thought it’d be more logical for one of those to be more popular…

I had this thought awhile ago, but wasn't aware if you and muffin were into supernatural. I just found out lmao. I can't imagine the crossover of twilight and supernatural actually being possible, but I just really want to know how the twilight characters would react to angels and other higher powers. It's just so incredibly amusing to think about. The angels definitely wouldn't interact with the vamps, their too pompous to be buddy buddy with them. But lets say that there was some opportunity for civil interaction. I'm focusing on the Volturi and the Cullens for this. How would that go? Would Edward and Aro be able to read their minds? If they can, then would they see their true form? Like, woops! There goes the eye balls. God, I feel bad for Aro lmao. Thats a millennia of info cramped in his head now.

I like to think that at one point Gabriel was just fucking around and that's how they discovered angels existed. Gabe was just like "Wow, look at that vampire government. Time to fuck shit up!" He was just in a silly goofy mood.

Aside from that dumbassery, what would twilight be like if Bella was a fallen angel? Like Anna was. Say her grace is in forks and she gets it back after she meets the cullens. I doubt Alice would get premonitions of any angelic beings. Hell, most creatures didn't believe in angels untill the apocalypse, so I'm guessing that would be the norm.

Off topic, but I also love the idea of like everyother supernatural communities just collectively hiding their existence from vampires. Especially after the whole culling of the children of the moon. I think this out of spite btw. The idea of their being no magical society (in hp) bc the Volturi and others would snatch up any "gifted" person is too accurate. It's not fun lmao. I just want everyone to collectively be like "Oh yeah, witches and shit exist. Just don't tell the vamps. Theres this long standing beef between us, y'know? Its incredibly amusing watching them think their all high and mighty."

I'm into Supernatural in the sense that I've pretty much formed my own canon and only care for the Kripke era. Season 6 had some good episodes, but the season as a whole was a trainwreck that didn't jive with what the former five seasons had given me, so I choose to curate my own fandom experience and all that, and stick to Kripke.

The Muffin has not watched Supernatural, her understanding of it comes from me ranting.

I'd think a crossover possible, with some changes made to Supernatural(this is inevitable in any context. The show is hugely contradictory, "canon" is a many-headed beast. Like Hydra). The crossover would require a world where the Volturi cleaned house with predatory supernatural creatures - demons, wendigos, werewolves, all of those guys - long before the 21st century. By the time we get to the present day they're either gone or on the brink of extinction.

Sorry, but Aro has the gift he has. The other supernatural communities are a-go if they won't bother the humans, but if they're competition for the food source or a danger to vampires (which almost every supernatural creature in Supernatural is) then it's not looking good.

This, of course, means that in the Twilight and Supernatural crossover, there are no human hunters. Maybe the occasional wacko gets in his head that he's going to hunt demons, but the Volturi guard is already on it. There is no community for this hunter to join or get information from, all the research he tries to do is corrupted by Aro, and the Volturi will kill humans who know too much.

Which in turn means no John Winchester. Azazel (or someone who took Azazel's place, as the Volturi may have killed him) still feeds baby Sam the demon blood, but John gets himself killed by the Volturi. Dean and Sam grow up in the foster system, and Dean dismisses his childhood memories of hunting monsters with his father as the sad fantasies of a mentally unstable man.

As for the Volturi and angels, you can't really have the Volturi aware of angels and still be the same. Tthere's a very real risk that Aro simply never comes up with the law in the first place. Why worry when there already exists a heavenly host devoted to protecting God's creation? Of course, he could realize that vampires might get smote Sodom and Gomorrah style if they become too much of a problem for the human population, but if so then that's giving him a different motive for forming the Volturi, which in turn might make their form different.

Better to have the angels aware of the Volturi, and the Volturi ignorant of the angels.

As for Bella being a fallen angel like Anna, this would make the plot of Twilight very different. This would mean that Bella is a traitor to the heavenly host, a desertor with a standing execution order hanging over her head. Castiel and Uriel, who until Castiel deserted and Uriel died were the sentries in charge of human issues, are the two most likely candidates to be deployed to execute her.

Which leads to a religious crisis on Carlisle's end, as he receives definitive proof of divinity in the form of angels killing an innocent woman.

The crossover potential is definitely there, but dear god it's a bleak one.

who is oikawa tooru?

i guess that’s a weird way to start off a post, considering just how popular oikawa is in this fandom. i’m absolutely certain that he’s still one of the most popular characters if i can take the #oikawasear trend on twitter a couple of weeks ago seriously. (i will be mourning that iwaoi is no longer the top ship in this fandom. it’s devastating to me on a personal level). and i can’t say that i’m any different, either, otherwise i wouldn’t have made this blog or this post. but i guess the reason i’ve been itching to write this is because i’ve been in this fandom--and more specifically, a fan of oikawa--for about four or five years now. i devour the content available, and i can assure you that i’ve read too many of the fanfictions on ao3 to be healthy, and never before have i seen a character whose characterization is so hotly disputed. 

and i get it. he’s a complex person. he’s kind of awkward in that there is a very clear disconnect between his outward personality and who he is alone. it’s a very hard balance to strike, especially when you consider just how much conjecture goes on in his characterization among fans and in discourse. he’s really easy to project and certain traits, correct or otherwise, are amplified based off how authors perceive him. there’s plenty of presumptions that can be made based on his on-screen actions/thoughts/beliefs that can be taken to some very logical conclusions. 

but i’ve also seen people write him in ways that don’t strike me as particularly truthful. he’s type casted into stereotypes that don’t do him justice, or made into something that is vaguely like oikawa, but not quite. in the following post, i’ll be trying to dispel misunderstandings of his character, if only for my own sanity. 

tl;dr i think that oikawa is chronically one of the most misrepresented characters in fandom and i want to fix that

exclaimer: i am solely an anime-watcher; i have seen snippets of the manga and therefore have a general idea of what is going on.

let’s establish some very very basic stuff. just to keep it simple, i’m not going to talk about anything beyond what has been published via the anime (as of season four). 

Oikawa Tooru | 及川徹 

gender: male

d.o.b.: 1994.7.20. or 20 July, 1994

height: 184.3 cm

weight: 72.2 kg

occupation: high school 3rd year, class 6

position/number: setter, 1 (captain)

here’s something that’s never pointed out: oikawa is in class 6 which, if we go off the trend of every other school in haikyuu!!, means that he is in a college preparatory class aka he’s pretty dang smart. it’s not confirmed or anything, but it a. follows the trend of every other class 6 student and b. is the highest class available among seijoh 3rd years (classes 5, 3, and 1). don’t get the idea that he’s dumb or unintelligent, or even that his strengths only lie in the classroom because that would be a gross understatement of his skills.

anywho. 

generally speaking, i like to start with the building blocks of his personality because there’s so much room for assumptions. here are the things that i think make up his core personality:

intelligence/knowledgeable: not only academically speaking, but he’s also well-versed in people. he knows how to play them--what will make someone more confident, more doubtful, what will help his teammates succeed. clearly, oikawa is very knowledgeable in human thought patterns. or he’s dedicated a lot of time to knowing them. 

loyalty: of all of oikawa’s traits, i think this one gets talked about the least, but we know it to be true. we make jokes about “you should have come to shiratorizawa” but it really shows you exactly how loyal, how much trust, oikawa has in this team that he has spent three years shaping. he never stops believing in the work that he has put in, and especially the hard work that his teammates have put into their volleyball. 

hardworking: one of the most well-known things about oikawa. most fans already know that his white knee pad is actually a knee brace. ‘nuff said. i salute you, good sir. 

insecurity: oikawa’s insecurities are perhaps his most notable trait. in a sense, he’s sort of the underdog--so good, but never quite good enough to accomplish what he’s set out to do. and we know that he’s struggled with his doubts since junior high, literally since he was 12 or 13, and that’s informed all of his character from the moment he ran into ushijima. oikawa is someone who is defined by his insecurities. 

oikawa is a lot of things. he’s introduced as someone who is very flamboyant--he’s built up by kageyama as the best setter, his senpai literally and figuratively, his initial shots are all of smug smiles and easy, unfaltering swagger in the face of this new team. even his theme, all rambunctious brass and jazzy, is meant to be all in your face, here’s the big boss! he’s someone who is petty and silly and seems to favor shallow conversation. but he’s oikawa, so there’s a surprising amount of depth in the little time that we have with him. there’s a reason that, in any other franchise, he’d probably be the protagonist.

he is someone full of contradictions. he’s childish and he spends time with a bunch of girls and is very clearly someone who likes to project a certain image of himself to the public (see: his cute lil’ humming run after his yell in s4e23 to make him seem kind of normal). but he’s also spent a lot of time with himself. in fact, if we take the few scenes we have of him alone and his bedroom (bare, spartan, meticulous) into account, oikawa actually is much more solemn and/or serious than the image he projects. he’s comfortable in the silences between all the white noise. he’s alright just being with iwaizumi. he allows himself to dwell on the past and his shortcomings, while also looking forward to the future. his ambition and passion to improve drive him, but his past failures weigh him down. they haunt him.

personally, i think that he’s naturally a pretty silly guy when given the chance. it’s not just for show. iwaizumi would even corroborate this à la oikawa’s introduction speech in s1. he likes having fun when he can with his friends. if we assume that oikawa is most himself with iwaizumi, then we definitely know that’s the case (see: “are you my mom, iwa-chan?”), and there’s nothing wrong with that. but i think that the most basic traits of his character, combined with his experiences in volleyball, have pushed him to be this person who is mired in doubt. it’s forced him to go down a path where something that he once loved for the fun of it has now become the source of his ire. it’s really just that simple. maybe in another life, things would be different and oikawa wouldn’t have to struggle as much. but that’s really just a part of the human experience, isn’t it? and, in all honesty, would we really love oikawa as much without all his vices?

and maybe this is getting into speculation, but i don’t think it’s a difficult argument to make that oikawa is really mature. he’s introspective. i say introspective because the revelations that he’s had in regards to his own strengths and weaknesses--those are things he’s had to confront and deal with since he was in junior high (starts at 12 years of age). it takes someone with a lot of maturity and self-awareness to realize those kinds of things about himself.

and he’s stronger than he gets credit for. most people depict him as a crybaby, but he’s really not. he doesn’t cry or give up in the face of ushijima or kageyama’s unfettered growth and successes, he doesn’t cry when faced with defeat. oikawa is there to support iwaizumi in his own doubt as ace, and lend support to his teammates. and oikawa doesn’t get stuck on the what-ifs or has-beens. driven by his infamous ambition, he looks forward to the future. 

it’s kind of a double-edged sword. it’s pushed him this far--he’s put in this much effort to be one of the best in the prefecture--because of his competitive spirit, but it’s also something that has caused him serious injury. oikawa’s motto (”if you’re gonna to hit it, hit it until it breaks!”) is the very epitome of this mentality. it’s a message to work hard to finish what you started, but i also think that you could interpret that hard work breaking you, too. he’s steadfast—obsessive, really—to the point that oikawa will let his passions break him before he would ever give up. it’s the point of all the strife in his life, because he would never have the problems he does if he were even a little less enamored by this sport. 

and you really have to wonder where he would be without ushijima and kageyama as his obstacles. his drive will always be there, that is an intrinsic part of him, as are the standards to which he holds himself, but you really have to wonder just how good oikawa would be if he didn’t have such direct competitors. this is an incredibly important question to ask about kageyama and oikawa in particular. yes, oikawa does loathe ushijima: for his disregard for oikawa’s decisions, for his disregard of oikawa’s loyalty, for his flippant attitude of seijoh, who oikawa has poured his blood and sweat into creating. but ushijima is an opposite hitter. oikawa is a setter. those are two very different positions with little crossover. but with kageyama--that is a clear rivalry. they push each other to be better, made all the more potent by their differences as players; one setter’s growth as a player directly impacts how the other performs in each subsequent game. seijoh’s defeat by karasuno in season 2 just feeds into oikawa’s drive for the future. he has not intention of giving up. a light was lit under him, pushing him forward, to do better, to be better. 

this is something that has been pointed out in a different analysis (linked below) but, narratively speaking, oikawa is kageyama’s foil. their interactions inform their characters and are a major cause of tension in their development. their relationship is really the most complex in the story that i have noticed, and is something that has not been appreciated enough. the iwaizumi-oikawa thing has been expounded and studied in every facet possible (i love the alexander the great/hephaestion allusions), but it’s true that kageyama has impacted oikawa the most. they begrudgingly respect each other’s talents, what it is that they bring to the court, while also envying what the other has in spades that they do not. in oikawa’s case, his strength clearly lies in his interpersonal relationships--his ability to intuit exactly what his teammates need to be at their best. kags is just a fount of overwhelming technical skill who has a really hard time getting to know those around him. living up to the standards that oikawa places on himself, in tandem with kageyama threatening his position as setter, leave oikawa floundering, fearing his own incompetence against opponents who are naturally much better than he. so he’s left with the knowledge that maybe his best isn’t good enough, but he still continues on anyway. he pushes himself past a seemingly unreachable threshold just to go toe-to-toe with this monster. it’s the purpose of his character--to tell this story of the ordinary v. the extraordinary--and it is perhaps the most relatable arc that a story like haikyuu!! can tell.

their connection naturally causes oikawa to seek out help, seen in the flashback scenes where he is talking to an unspecified coach/adult. that coach’s words then become the creed upon which oikawa plays, maybe even more than what iwaizumi has taught him, and is the final push that completes oikawa’s character arc in s2ep24. that change in mindset allows oikawa to see kageyama’s unbridled talent not as an obstacle but as a challenge. it’s very nuanced, but it makes all the difference. it’s why, following seijoh’s defeat, oikawa has the audacity to declare to kageyama and ushijima his plans for the future. in a sense, karasuno and kageyama and ushijima have won the battle but not the war. it’s the tipping point in his story and, more than anything, what makes oikawa so compelling. we have seen what has led up to the change, but now we want to know what he’s going to do to meet that challenge. what will he be doing beyond the story when he is no longer relevant to the narrative? we don’t know the details at this point, but we know that oikawa’s love and ambition for volleyball have been reaffirmed in this moment. 

but to bring it back, the kags-oiks connection also makes us question what it is we are watching, makes us as the audience think: what qualifies someone as a genius? are there any limitations to what that genius can do? what can ordinary people do in the face of those geniuses? 

these are questions that exist beyond the reality of sports and transverse into other disciplines. for me, those are very real questions that i have had to ask myself as a musician. i have dedicated nine, almost 10, years to my practice but there are still 10-year-olds who are just better at it than i ever will be. part of it is time and practice to be sure, but some of it is just innate. and i think the more appropriate version of those questions would be this: what qualifies someone as a prodigy? are there limitations for prodigies? what can we do in the face of prodigies? 

oikawa is a genius player--he knows the ins-and-outs of his sport better than anyone, and he can accomplish great feats that others in his same position can’t. but even with all that veritable experience and skill, he is ultimately still overtaken by a prodigy whose talents seem endless. it’s why he can hate ushijima but fear kageyama. one is something he can actively fight against, the other is inevitable. 

and really, i think that’s the beauty of oikawa tooru, why he’s so beloved by the fandom, even years after he has stopped being relevant to the narrative. beyond the fluff and goofiness and hijinks, there’s someone there who is really, truly, human. 

an aside with much less significance/why do people think this??

so here’s one thing: even though oikawa has fangirls, i wonder what he actually thinks of them. for one, it’s only natural for anyone to be super flattered if people think you’re hot stuff. that’s just... i don’t think he’s weird if he pays attention to them. but i think that people are conflating his being kind to them to being genuinely egotistical due to the attention. actually, i think these are opposing ideas and a contradiction of who oikawa is. when you’re an arrogant person, you think that you deserve all the attention you’re getting and you’re not going to bother with the people who worship you.

but that’s not at all what oikawa does. he’s rather kind to his fans. i would never say that he’s self-effacing, but knowing what you’re worth is different from being pompous. and think about it. it’d be a real jerk move for oikawa to not say nice things to them and thank his fangirls when they spend time, energy, and effort to make him food and see his games. he would just be a genuinely awful person if he didn’t at least give them thanks. it’d be more alarming if he didn’t talk to them, at least in my opinion. more than anything, we should consider this: why is it that oikawa has the fan club and not anyone else on the seijoh team? i’m sure a part of it is because he’s attractive and the captain of a team, but i think it’s more than that, too. we see these interactions from other perspectives, but i think that reflects more on those around oikawa than oikawa himself if they don’t understand why he acts the way he does with those girls.

another thing: i don’t think that anyone can question that oikawa is very pretty, or handsome, or whatever descriptor you would like. it’s prevalent in fandom (see: pretty setters squad), but he is also the only person in canon to be acknowledged by other characters as being particularly good-looking. maybe the miyas count at this point? i’m not sure. but i don’t really understand where people get the idea that he is particularly focused on his appearance, though. there is literally no indication of that from the material that i have seen. and maybe he uses that to his advantage with his fangirls, but i highly doubt that, in all honesty. i think that it’s fun to imagine him being into these things as a hobby, but it irks me greatly when i see that people spend time saying that oikawa wakes up extra early just to fix his hair or slather on foundation/concealer just to look presentable. 

he’s a teenaged boy who clearly has other things that worry him, he’s a full-time student, and volunteers to coach at lil tykes volleyball classroom in his free time. he wouldn’t have time to spend on his hair or makeup. and we even seen in the hanger tooru special that he even wakes up looking like that. 

he is au naturale, my friends. and we even know how little he gives thought to his own body, if you take into account his knee brace. for oikawa, his body is merely the medium through which he can accomplish his goals. we even have evidence of this when we see oikawa up all night studying karasuno game play or via his knee brace. he doesn’t know how to stop or understand when enough is enough. he breaks himself if there’s no one to watch him. 

also, just... how would makeup work, logistically speaking? i don’t wear makeup, but i’m thinking that foundation and concealer and hair product would be, um, really bad. like, it’d run down his face and stuff. also, it’d probably get into his eyes, too? seriously. i’m not against oikawa wearing makeup in the slightest cause he’d be even prettier, but we know that oikawa would absolutely not jeopardize his chances in any way.

Hello! I'm going to post a series of crossover headcanons regarding LITG. That means picking one islander and placing it in another season. I'm accepting requests if anyone is interested to see their favourite islander in another season. The first one will be Talia. This post is dedicated to the awesome @bubblybabynailpolish and her awesome headcanons. Next one will Henrik in S1 babes <3

PD: I got carried a little but please keep in mind that English is not my native language, so if you see something that is phrased weirdly, just let me know.

Talia in S2: 

If Talia was part of S2, I do think she would arrive on the 5th day along with Lurik. I can picture her being civil to Lucas because she’s not very much into his poshness and his attitude at all but she feels that she has no reason to be really mean to him, they just don’t have much in common but they would respect each other. 

On the other hand, I see her having a platonic friendship with Henrik and even coupling up with him as friends if she doesn’t fancies anyone back in the Villa. If he’s the returning Lurik or he manages to make it to the final recoupling after CA after being rejected by MC and if she’s not in her route. He's just one of her closest friends in the Villa, there’s nothing sexual or romantic between them.

After MC and Priya, I feel that Talia is tied with Hope as one of the most attractive females in the Villa, which leads to certain “unwanted male attention” in her words, especially from Rocco which is a source of arguments and drama between her, Marisol and Lottie. Talia may be nice, chill and hating drama just like in S1, but she’s not going to be a doormat and will take no shit about Lottie’s rants about Girl Code or Marisol’s psychoanalysis. Much less she’s going to tolerate Rocco trying to graft on her.

She agrees with the idea of the girl code, but thinks that Lottie executed her ideas poorly. Talia sees the good intentions in Lottie's idea of Girl Code but thinks that they could work better if she were less abrasive in her interactions with the other girls.

Regarding the rest of the boys and assuming she had seen certain events on telly like the kiss between Lottie and Gary or Rocco trying to graft with the rest of the girls behind Lottie/MC’s back, she would be cautious of both Rocco and Gary. I can see her vibing a lot with Bobby and even coupling up as friends if he’s not coupled with MC because of the jokes and the banter. Before ON, their friendship would be much like hers with Tim in S1. I don’t see her interacting much with Rahim because they have little in common and she's going to be straight up annoyed with him during the girls day drama later.

During the Most Dateable challenge, she’d be super happy to help Henrik and give him advice on how to apply lipstick correctly or help him to pick the color of the lipstick he’s going to wear. I can also see her helping Bobby to put on Priya's dress.

After Henrik (and Bobby before ON), I feel like she would love to hang out with Noah in the Villa, much to Hope’s chagrin because she will feel threatened by her beauty and her warm, approachable personality and they will clash for that. Talia and Noah would be talking a lot about their tastes in books and music while he braids her hair first but later about their experiences in the Villa and more serious chats. To Talia, her hair is something she cares a lot, but she would trust it only to Noah (and later to MC).

She certainly would not be a fan of his behaviour towards Hope and Priya/MC during the aftermath of ON but she wouldn’t judge him that harshly. Instead, she would offer him her honest opinion if he asks her. I don’t see her pursuing a romantic relationship with Noah for the same reasons she didn’t work with Jake in S1 as a couple but I can see her having an innocent, healthy male-female friendship with him, like hers with Jake in S1.

As for the girls, she has a crush on MC and they flirt a lot prior to CA if MC acknowledges that she’s bi in the beginning of the game. If MC is romantically interested in her, they would be able to couple up after CA, game wise. 

If MC is straight or not really interested in Talia romantically, I can’t picture Talia going for Elisa because I feel like she is too high maintenance and extra for her and I don’t think she would have vibed much with Marisol either because she’s very calculating and unnecessarily childish for her liking after noticing that she's with Graham to try to make MC jealous. Instead, I can see Lottie secretly having a crush on Talia despite being openly mean to her when they first met when she was coupled up with Rocco.

Regarding the other girls, she would vibe the most with MC, Priya and Lottie after Roccogate drama ends, but like I said before not much with Hope and Marisol. This is something that really pains me to say, but I think she would be pretty much indifferent to Chelsea because they don't have much in common. Yeah, she might find Chelsea genuinely funny sometimes after the Ministry of Sound Party drama ends but they wouldn't be that close like she is with MC, Priya or Lottie.

She'd made sure that Bobby actually faced consequences after ON, because she never approved it when Bobby and Priya approached her to see if she was up to try to turn Noah’s head. She refuses quite offended, because her friendship with Noah is more important to her than some petty drama. Even if Priya is upset after Talia refuses to take part in ON, she understands why she refused. This will be the first source of drama between Bobby and Talia.

Like I said before, they'd be closer because I headcanon that Talia has literally the same ethnicity of Bobby (white British/Jamaican) and they would share a lot of things in common about Jamaican culture, besides she would also enjoy Bobby’s dumb jokes.

But that doesn't mean she would be pleased all the time with his behaviour. Bobby's attitude after ON is something she's not going to tolerate and she won’t hesitate to call out him especially if she's aware that he played a big part in ON, after he starts to play fool in the Ministry of Sound Party and later playing peacemaker with Marisol while Priya/MC is enduring the shitstorm alone during the aftermath of ON.

She's 👏🏾 not 👏🏾 here 👏🏾 for 👏🏾 the 👏🏾 peacemaking 👏🏾 bullshit 👏🏾. After Priya leaves the Villa, she pretty much ignores Bobby unless is really necessary to talk to him. Bobby’s part in Priya's dumping was the final straw between Bobby and Talia.

I think she would be closer to Priya because she'd appreciate Talia's carefree and non-judgemental personality. As for Lottie, they'd be closer after the Roccogate drama ends but they would start their friendship after she stands up for Lottie by calling out Gary for kissing her after Hannah left the Villa the same night when Chelsea entered the Villa throwing shade to Lottie. 

From Hope, she would be quite disgusted with her behaviour after trying to put all the blame against MC/Priya after ON. She might understand why Hope is legitimately upset but she won’t allow her to insult only Priya/MC for making a pass/kissing Noah while ignoring Bobby’s part during ON. 

At CA, the only guy that she remotely likes is Kassam after finding Elijah, Felix and Arjun annoying and not vibing much with Carl and Graham. She might find him interesting, but not enough to take him back to the Villa. If MC is in her route, she might acknowledge her crush on Talia during the CA days which is a source of more drama with Marisol, because she's going to be jealous of Talia.

During the girls day, she would try to reason with Shannon that Jo is not the only responsible for the kiss with Ibrahim, not because she likes Jo (in fact, she’s not a big fan of her attitude), it is mostly because she wants to have quality time with MC (or Lottie) without drama enjoying the beach and the drinks. Since her efforts trying to reason with Shannon are futile, she might sneak with MC or Lottie to the beach. She won’t be here for petty drama that doesn’t affect her directly.

When the baby challenge happened, Talia is an utter mess because she’s not used to taking care of babies and she’s quite creeped by the fake baby, but she would attempt to help MC to take care of it.

If Lottie gets dumped before the finale, our Aussie witch lady might regret not making a move on Talia if MC is not in her route. She mostly regrets it because due to her stubbornness trying to pursue something with Gary that she realizes now is not going to last much. She kinda regrets ignoring her feelings for her all this time, also for her fear of being rejected. When MC is not in her route their story is a literal enemies to friends to lovers but if MC is coupled with Talia, Lottie will back off and keep her feelings to herself. If Bobby is dumped before the finale, he might apologize properly to both MC and Talia for what he did in ON.

She makes it to finals but depending on who is coupled up with her, she might win with MC or end in third place if she coupled up with anyone else, she loses to MC and her LI if she didn't cheated with Elisa/RLurik and Nope who ends in second place.

Finally, overall I feel like she would vibe a lot with lighthearted guys who are not afraid to do silly things much like in S1 (in a friendly way) and guys that are being comfortable with their masculinity, but that doesn’t mean that she won’t call out things that are utter bullshit to her like Bobby’s involvement in ON. Talia is usually quite easy to talk, fair and she was hands down the kindest female character in S1, that was the main reason why I can picture her being closer to characters like Lottie, Priya or Noah, because she wouldn’t judge them of the things they do or if they want to talk to her something private, however, if they ask her opinion she will very blunt and she will stand for what she thinks is the correct thing to do. 

As a LI, she would be super supportive of MC if she doesn’t want to be involved in petty drama or if the Villa is forcing her to be a people pleaser and she doesn't want to be. Also, if Talia sees that someone is giving MC shit for any reason, she will stand up for her. In this regard, she wouldn’t be far different than Lucas but overall she would be a very chill LI like Henrik because she would trust a lot in MC unless she cheats on her before the final recoupling.

So, I watched a couple eps of Wander Over Yonder off Hulu (still holds up pretty well, btw. Laughed quite a few times, really do miss this show) and now my brain's trying to figure out how a crossover between RotTMNT and WoY would be possible :P Because that's just how my brain is.

There's a 50/50 chance Marques Moncrief/Jupiter Jim is actually from space, so if the Turtles went into Space with him they could totally run into Wander and Syl. Or maybe Wander goes through a mystic portal/Interdimensional Door and ends up in the Hidden City? Idk, I just want a crossover because the interactions between these characters would be soooo much fun

Wander and Mikey would of course get along EXTREMELY well while Sylvia would like both Raph and April's company ^v^ Heck, maybe Splinter too, they seem like they could vibe together, lol. Just two sometimes-grumpy fighters with rough pasts and hearts of gold! And as for Leo and Donnie-

*Leo seeing Hater coming towards him and ready to shoot some lightning* "Oh cool, a skeleton man! Hey, do you know a guy named Senor Hueso from Earth-?"

Lol. Though, Hater and Peeperss would maybe try to recruit Donnie into being their on-ship mad scientist once they see his awesome machines. Donnie agrees just to play with all the high-tech intergalactic machines and weaponry for a few hours before betraying them. (”You reaaaally should’ve seen this coming. But hey, thanks again for the new power source and the free blaster, that’ll be fun to take apart later.”)

Trying to figure out the logic and science behind Wander’s hat and orbubbles nearly drives Donnie insane though, heh.

Lol, but yeah, a crossover between these two shows would be a TON of fun for me ^v^ Though, given that the Kraang are most likely still from space in the RotTMNT-Verse and Kraang created yokai... I wonder if Wander and Syl would point out the similarities between “yokai” and “alien”. Hmmmm... I may have found a connection. Or I’m just thinking too much about silly cartoon shows, one or the other.

phew this rly is gonna be the first post I’ve made in like a year but. Like the others, time to pour my heart out I guess.

I’ve dealt with a lot of trauma. I’m still going through my trauma because every so often I learn things that I had no idea about whether it be because I blocked it out or just never thought about it in an abusive light. I guess, first thing’s first, to explain why a lot of this stuff impacted me in a huge way (not to say that it wouldn’t have otherwise, but.).

My biological father was emotionally and physically abusive. To me, to my sibling, to my mother and all his exe’s. He had mental illnesses that were left untreated like BPD, narcissism, and compulsive lying. When I was five, he tried to get me to believe that my mom was cheating on him with a friend of hers and that this guy was gonna steal her away. And I believed him and cried and screamed until my mom promised me that was the case. I only found out, in my late teens, that he was the one that had cheated. Constantly. Eventually they divorced and I moved with my mom to texas after the school year was finished because that gave her time to prepare a place to live for me. Unfortunately during that period where I still lived with my dad... he did a lot of things. And even though (apparently) my grandparents on my mother’s side tried to have me over as much as they could, there was still long amounts of times that I spent with my father.

He exposed me to a lot of shit I shouldn’t have been as a child. Movies with graphic violence and horror (I once had a panic attack when I lost a tooth because I thought that awful lady from darkness falls was gonna come and kill me), nudity and sex. Hell, anime that borderlined into straight up hentai. Only two years ago did I learn from my mother that she always thought my dad was sexually abusing me, but she never had the proof. And maybe she was right. Maybe he did, and I blocked some of it out. He showed me all that stuff, and I remember how he would cling to me in the bed he forced me to share with him and told me I was the only one that loved him and understood. He would buy and show me things I shouldn’t have been seeing and then told me not to tell my mother.

He once brought me over to one of his girlfriends and while I “slept” on the couch, he had sex with his gf right there in the living room just a foot away from where I was. He had only wait... what, five minutes? For me to fall asleep and didn’t even check if I had. I was facing the back of the couch so I couldn’t see anything, but I could hear all of it. I was too afraid to move or even breathe.

That on its own is a lot, but I’m sharing this to give some background into my feelings about this roleplay groups I was a part of over the years.

My first experience with rping was the alvin and the chipmunks oc community on yt. Which was a very niche thing on its own, but there were a LOT of people. It basically boiled down to us coloring over screencaps and fanart to make our ocs, make songs high-pitched and then vid our ocs using the pictures to the songs in wmm and pretending that was our ocs singing them. Some of us communicated via AIM to actually rp our ocs. At the time I was 11/12. I ended up rping with people much older than me, one of whom, the one I rped with the longest and had the greater attachment to, was 16. We rped smut with our ocs. I thought this was normal. They did it with others so why not me as well? They were popular and I was just starting out in the community, so if I did this, then I’d get more attention. And it worked. I got attention from people much older than me and I felt like I was a huge part of this community. All because one of my ocs fucked a more important person’s oc and they got together.

But eventually I fell out of it. I randomly found nondisney crossover videos on yt and began to watch them religiously. Like, really bad ones also made in wmm, but I thought they were so cool. This was way back before editors ever even dreamed of using AE to make seamless masks for their videos. I lefts the aatc group behind to try and make my own. I didn’t have much success until one of my videos blew up and I got a lot of subscribers. I still wasn’t part of what felt like a closely knit community, but I wanted to be. I made silly reaction videos of vidders getting jokingly ‘married’, I commented and liked others videos to try and get noticed by them. Because I was 13 and had no irl friends. 

Then ‘video rps’ began to be a thing. I instantly was enamored, and having experience in rping before, desperately joined. It was fun, at first! I started to connect with more people, they wanted to plot these stupid stuff ideas with me. Then the group decided to move to good ol’, fresh baby-faced tumblr. And I enjoyed that because, at the time, I thought I was a better writer than I was a vidder (news flash I wasn’t good at either of these things sdfkjdns). Somehow, after this move, I became really close with the mods. Both of whom were in the 20s while I was 14 (and just starting high school). One of them called me her ‘wifey’ and I went along with it and did the same. Because I liked the attention. I thought I was important even though, really, none of my characters except two were ever part of any large plots or got attention. They also talked about sexual things with me because my main oc was dating one of the mods’ oc. I remember them solely getting together because of ‘aphrodisiac dust’ too. 

And I’ll admit, I also kinda forced it on my side. The mod had her oc basically in a ‘love triangle’ between my and my friend meg’s ocs. Which is... honestly a Lot now that I think about it. She kept stringing us along, both me and meg being the same age too. So when I saw the oppurtunity of “hey my oc was forced to be really horny and if I get Jen’s oc to fuck mine, that would mean they’ll be together’! So that’s what I did. And it worked. And it was only way later once I really processed what I’d done that I felt like shit for what I did to meg. This adult had basically tried to get us to fight each other of this dumb fucking ship. Haha jokes on u jen, now they’re both lesbians and are dating.

Though before this, when my oc was dating another member’s, that ended... really badly when said member had her boyfriend raped by their other ocs. One the dash. With no warning. Not even telling me about that possibility. It made me feel sick. So I dropped them.

Anyways, yeah. In this rp group I was, once again, exposed to smut and sexual things by those that weren’t just older than me, but also adults. They tried to get me to turn on other people in the group. They were also homophobic which, at the time, had a huge impact on me since I was, even then, trying to figure out what and who I was.

Both mods were controlling, rude, and eventually, all of us decided to split off from them and move our ocs to a new but similar setting. This shift was lead by gansey, who became the new mod. I was also partially close to them, and given that at the time I thought they were a good writer and they were popular, I relished in that attention. I thought of them as an older sibling. But in the end they weren’t all that different from Jen and Usa, the previous mods.

Even back in TOW, Gansey had this strange fascination with cheating. Given that Jen’s oc and mine were dating, and gansey had this (understandable, at the time) hatred for her and Usa, they tried to get their main oc to be... really close with mine. Always close enough to cheating or being seen as romantic but never enough that they could apply plausible deniability to the situation. They even made this weird ‘au’ video of them together without talking to me about it. ...A lot of things were done without talking to me about it.

Their obsession with cheating even extended into TAR, where they kept hinting at one of their ocs being interest with another of mine despite Sonia being in a relationship with Shelly’s Archie. I thought, perhaps, that maybe they wanted it to become an open relationship or poly. And if they had talked about it with Shelly and I and we all agreed with it, that would have been fine. But such a thing was never brought up. When said character suddenly developed an evil demon personality, them trying to force their affection on Sonia became even more obvious. Only now the character had a proper ‘excuse’, being evil and whatnot.

Gansey really did have this weird thing for cheating, ruining other people’s ships, and also dubcon/noncon. And again, Gansey was an adult while I was in high school. These things Just Kept Happening. And even though I thought we were close at the time, I never really was involved in any of their big plots (or really anyone’s) unless it involved some of these concepts.

Eventually I started to talk a lot with Meg because we were the same age and had similar interests. This led to me talking with Shelly more and then Bonnie, Kyle, and Morgan. And I’m so grateful for that. People I had been so afraid of contacting on my own to talk to or be friends because of my insecurity due to everything else became huge parts of my life. For once I felt genuinely included and not just someone to be used by others. We came up with fun plots, character connections, etc. At this point I had both them and friends in high school. I had a place I felt I belonged. I still do. I love them so much. They’re basically family to me.

Anyways, as I got older, it became apparent there was this rift in the rp group. People being purposely excluded because they weren’t seen as ‘good’ rpers, or just because someone who wasn’t ever really active in the rp group didn’t like the other. AKA Roman hating kyle which resulted in him being excluded despite his attempts time and time again to include others lol. Obviously over the years, there wasn’t much left for me in that group outside of my friends. It was barely active anymore and outside of it interactions had become toxic. So it was understandable when Kyle and Meg decided to leave. Funny how once that happened, they only then decided to have an ‘open forum’, with everyone who was normally quiet coming out of the woodworks to bash my friends when they were no longer there.

Some of us called them out after that and left. Though not before we found out that they’d (gansey and their inner circle) been developing another rp setting called FAR (presumably the setting they attempted when they told everyone they were gonna have a 100 time-skip to shake things up, which ended up not happening bc a lot of the group was like wtf) and also added someone to the discord server that most of us didn’t know. This person had been there for months and Gansey never told us despite them being their friend. This was very upsetting because at that point all of in this group had been together for 8 years. We shared personal stuff in that discord server. Things that I’m sure we wouldn’t want strangers seeing. So yeah, a lot of us were upset!

Then Gansey and their friends dogpiled kyle for understandably being mad about being excluded and alienated. Then they dared to have the gall to message me saying they were terrible and sorry and that they’d always be there to listen if I wanted to talk.

So I talked. And what happened after that? Nada. Nothing. They never replied. They weren’t willing to face the hypocrisy of what they’d done.

In the end they had just been another manipulative adult that had only used me when they needed to. That tried to have our characters be sexual when I was just a teen.

All of you were adults. You should have known better. I admired you guys only to have that admiration used to control me. Fuck all of you. Fuck you for the way you treated my friends. Fuck you for having contributed to my trauma on top of everything else I’d experienced. Fuck you, gansey, for your manipulative ‘apology’. If you can remember, what was the first scene you really wanted to write for each character? The one that made you start writing about them/start including them in stories?

oooh this is such a good question. i’m assuming you mean trio, since they’re my main go-to.  this will be an absurdly long post, i apologise, but honestly if people don’t expect that of me by now then i don’t know what to tell you. really it’s kind of hard to explain for any of them, because most of my early writing wasn’t planned in advance and i didn’t know them that well, it was through writing them that i really started to understand them and also to develop my own specific versions of them.

so ruben was first, and i basically slammed out the entire lengthy first chapter of maps won’t show us where we’re going (aka, the What Happened In Jamaica thing) in one sleepless night. i hadn’t  intended on writing any ruben fic at all, but i’d only discovered the DNH supercut maybe a few weeks before that and had been drawing ruben a lot and making lots of anguished posts about him, and i got an ask that was something along the lines of “okay but imagine how Traumatised and Terrible things are if he did survive jamaica” that like, listed off a bunch of potential bad things and it was partially my heart just breaking over the idea of him struggling so much and a little bit of “actually i want him to HEAL AND GET BETTER” spite that fuelled me because tbh the ask hit a bit of a nerve. 

so i didn’t exactly have a single scene in mind well in advance, i just knew when i started i wanted it to reach a point where he wasn’t better but where there was hope that he could be one day. and there’s a lot in that first chapter that was very much just lifted from personal experience which really opened the pandora’s box on realising how cathartic writing post-DNH ruben could be, which i think is the appeal of ruben to a lot of people. plus i got a lot of messages in my inbox going “OH MY GOD, POOR RUBEN??? YOU HAVE BROKEN MY HEART” and i absolutely bloody love people giving me attention for the things i make and having big emotions about it, so that definitely encouraged me to write him more

there was a little not-90verse DNH/ITH crossover which was my first venture into usnavi writing! i’d had a some run of art prompts in my askbox for various combos of LMM characters meeting and then got into a conversation about how usnavi would be the Best person for post-jamaica ruben to meet because he’s just so goddamn nice? and then i wrote a couple of very short little potential fics about it one of how things would go if jason showed up at the bodega which i cant remember much of but i think sonny was in it too and they pretty much told him to get the fuck out, and one was about ian tracking ruben down to the barrio and mistaking usnavi for ruben. sadly the actual fics are lost to my old blog/dead laptop but i can remember the details on the ian one pretty clearly, which is funny because i’d entirely forgotten it existed till just this second. they probably weren’t all that well-written anyway.

i hadn’t even considered any kind of non-platonic ruben/usnavi interaction when i wrote those and then i got an ask in my inbox that was like “you’re making me ship usnavi and ruben now” and i was like “only if vanessa can come too” and the whole thing was a joke i had no intention of writing but then a few people were like ‘i’d genuinely read that tho’ and that’s how your body is a triangle was writ, which is when vanessa came into the picture!

i think the first scene i ever decided on with her was the one where she accidentally triggers ruben into a panic attack and then goes  round his place to try and make amends. i found vanessa so fucking difficult to write at first because she’s very, very different from me in terms of both personality and voice. but even though YBIAT was just gonna be a silly crackship one-shot (oops what happened) i think the best crackfics are the ones where the characters are still in character, and i’ve always loved vansnavi as a ship so i didn’t want it to be one of those OT3s where it’s really just a way of writing two guys making out and the girl may as well just be a potted plant in the corner. so giving her proper motivation and characterisation was really important (i actually put way less effort into exploring the usnavi/ruben aspect of it in that particular fic, you might notice).

so i was trying to figure out how and why her and ruben connect, and it was on the point of  them both being more closed off than usnavi and really struggling sometimes to express things, but underneath the defensiveness and the walls being really caring and trying very hard. if there’s anything that you could call a theme for 90verse it’s the idea of effort, and how important trying is even when you’re not good at something or when life is hard. vanessa struggles with emotional expression but she’s also very determined and uses that to push through her discomfort when it really matters, and that’s something i fell so in love with so quickly when i started writing her. this mixture of cool and dorky and awkward and poised and prickly and good-hearted, she’s so complicated and wonderful. i have a line from usnavi in be right-right where you step, that people don’t always see past what’s on the surface with her when there’s so much there if you’re just willing to put in the effort, which i think is very true of their relationship (and also a reflection on similarities between ruben and vanessa, which i think came up a lot in earlier stories in particular) but was also totally a meta-comment on how vanessa did not come nearly so easily to me as usnavi or ruben did (and i know some other writers found her difficult to figure out, too) but she has always been so worth the effort of figuring her out.

there’s a postscript to the usnavi writing - i loved writing him in YBIAT because he’s kind of just silly and goofy and sweet, and i still love writing that side of him because it’s so much fun, but like i said, that was supposed to be a oneshot. so i think for usnavi the real moment was when i wrote that lil fic about him and all the ways that coffee has been important in his life, and that’s the first time i addressed the whole Dead Parents thing and it was that fic that made me really realise that just like vanessa, he’s got way more layers as a character than i’d originally thought about and that’s what made me want to explore him as more than just the funny, sunshiney one (and now i keep accidentally writing things where he’s sad and stressed and i don’t know how that keeps happening, but he is also still a smiley goofy sunbeam, so i haven’t broken him entirely)

1, 5, and 25?

Howdy!! Thank you for the ask, I'll put the answers under a read more for ~neatness~

1) Tell us about your current project(s)  – what’s it about, how’s progress, what do you love most about it?

Right now it's mostly my self indulgent WIP that's a crossover of Billions on Showtime and Marvel's Daredevil based on what started as a joke that Bryan and Wesley are twins (theyre played by the same actor). My vehicle for this is I have Matt a twin named Abigail.

Progress is good on it, I'd say! Since just the daydream notes on it are well over 50k atm (don't look at me lmao)

I think the thing I love most about it is simply diving into the Meta of it all. What physical supplements and adaptations would mutants need? How do the two universes intersect? (surprisingly well is the answer in that one lmao). And of course, just the absolute self indulgent SOFTNESS of it tbh. The addition of Abigail allows for new avenues for healing and closure for Matt, for interesting interactions with Wesley, and just overall as a positive (mostly) role in the story! Did that sound weird? I hope not lmao.

5) What character that you’re writing do you most identify with?

To be honest, it's sort of caught between Abigail, who is my own character and as such absorbs pieces of me as is inevitable, and Bryan, who I already related to (but both of them are MUCH cooler than me I promise).

Abby I relate to bc they have so much going on, it's a time of change for them, but also because they picked up some of my habits in the process of fleshing them out. They stress cook and show their love through food, and they're kinda silly to be honest, but they're tough. They're a fun character to write.

Bryan obviously isn't my original character, but I find him fascinating and would LOVE to be his friend. He's a fucking nerd and really enjoys what he eats and is a Super Nice Guy. (He keeps emergency deodorant in his office in case people need it. How nice is that.). Especially since when you dive into it, his interest all seem vaguely out of left field and he's almost contrary when you least expect it but really SHOULD have (he can be a Bitch when he wants to be, which is almost exclusively to The Obscenely Rich or The Asshole Rich, so like. Mood)

So to (finally) answer the question, I suppose I simply relate to the characters I can pick their brains the most lmao. I'm kinda funky in my thought processes and really like to get in depth with thought processes, so I relate the most to characters with a lot going on (😑) since I can do that with them. But I also relate to them both bc they're an interesting mix of Things I Am, and Things I'd Like To Be. Does that make sense?

25) What part of writing is the most fun?

Well, I kinda said it in the previous two questions, but I like diving into the lore and the world building and the intricate introspection! I think it's partially because I find human emotion so vastly complex and dazzling and vaguely confusing but I really like to put the work in on fleshing out the how and the why of characters emotions.

Like how do they deal with grief? How do they show worry? What emotion do they not know how to handle? How do they offer comfort or react to being comforted? It's so fascinating to me to try and build an entire person out of scraps and thought, you know?

And similarly, I really like setting out clear rules for how the world should work, probing the limits and testing what holds water and what doesn't. For instance, what kind of diet changes would the twins need for their powers? If they're operating on a higher level of physical stress and performance, than it stands to reason they would need to eat differently to back that up, you know?

I think the other part that's most fun is deciding what to add simply because you want to. Like, I love the world building, but it also super satisfying to say "This Happens Because I Want It To" you know?

Who is your favourite character in 2? Its very close between Genos and Saitama, but I think Genos wins by a hair (no pun intended). The borg is so emotional and loving and I just wanna give him a hug.

Who is your least favourite character in 1? Oh Cybelle, definitely. She’s a horrible person. Which is a damn shame since her song “La Ballade” is an absolute bop.

What is your favourite episode of 4? Episode 54, “Beyond the Inferno”. [SPOILERS AHEAD] Riza seeing through Envy’s disguise with ease, Roy confronting Hughes killer, a discussion on how hatred only breeds hatred and what makes someone human. The sympathy and pity you feel for Envy... there are so many great moments in this one episode and it’s one that I always remember to this day despite not having seen the series in at least four years. 

What’s your favourite season of 5? It only has one season, so I guess it’s season one by default lol. It was one hell of a ride for sure. Lots of interesting discussions and horrifying reveals, and does a great job at a “genre sike” by being relatively family friendly until episode three where everything gets turned upside down and you realise it’s a psychological horror despite the cute art style.

Who is your favourite couple in 3? Shinji and Murano were the only official couple in the show, but I definitely didn’t ship it. Kinda felt like you could take Murano completely out of the story and everything still would have been the same. Honestly, Shinji and Kana had better chemistry, but Kana needed to work on some of her stuff before that could happen. A relationship with Shinji and Hideo could have been interesting, too.

Who is your favourite couple in 2? I’m a huge fan of Saitama and Genos as a couple! They both help each other to work on their issues and become a better person. Genos helped bring Saitama out of his depression and to be more emotive, and open up to people, eventually leading to a happier more enjoyable life and him gaining a network of friends to rely on. Saitama in turn helped Genos to overcome his uncontrollable rage and to think more before acting so he doesn’t end up hurt as much. Also he taught him to focus on things other than revenge (though that may have lead to a bit of an obsession with Saitama himself lol). Every domestic interaction between the two seems natural and effortless, and if one is hurt the other goes wild which is an A+ trope that I just love lmao. I could write a damn essay on why these two are perfect for each other honestly. 

What is your favourite episode of 1? The last episode! It’s the end of a series, but the start of something great for all the characters. Also the Miraculous Seven Minutes was absolutely phenomenal and I’m so glad I watched it in the show before I listened. I also cried like four times during that seven minutes because of what it meant to the characters, and I don’t often cry at things! So this show making me cry four times in seven minutes is a feat of its own! Watch Carole & Tuesday folks, you won’t regret it. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and you’ll wanna bop along with the characters during every song.

What is your favourite episode of 5? Ooft, Episode 6, “This Just Can’t Be Right”. The absolute bombshell that was dropped towards the end was just horrifying in every way and I honestly didn’t see it coming. I think this was the point that both the characters and the audience realised exactly what a horrifying ordeal being a magical girl really was. Episode 8, “I was Stupid... So Stupid” is a very close second, and gives us another bombshell reveal I didn’t see coming that ramped up the horror even more. I won’t give any spoilers on these episodes tho ‘cause it’s one of those “it’s better if you experience it yourself” moments. What I will say is that Madoka Magica is a psychological horror at its heart, don’t let the cutesy art style fool you. 

What is your favourite season of 2? Season 1 by a long shot. I’ve personally seen the entirety of season 1 at least six times over, whereas I watched Season two once as it released. I enjoyed the second season and would love a third season to release, but season one was superior in every way. Maybe it’s because I feel like less happened in season two? Or that there was more focus on human interaction and relationships in the first? Or perhaps it’s because I really saw myself in season one Saitama? Whatever the reason, I could still happily watch season one like six more times.

How long have you watched 1? Carole & Tuesday only released last year, but I started watching when there were only three episodes out subbed! From there I kept watching it weekly as it released, and I’m so glad I decided to watch it because it quickly became one of my fave animes of all time. 

How did you become interested in 3? I first heard about Parasyte when I was about sixteen? I’m sure I saw it on a list of great horror manga while I was looking for something new to read. I actually read quite far in but never finished because I had to study for exams then lost my place and just never went back. Then this year, a full nine years later, I saw the anime was on Netflix and I remembered just how much I’d loved reading what I did of it, so I started and finished it in three days lol. Turns out I wasn’t far from the end when I’d lost my place all those years ago. It brought back nostalgia of something I loved as a teen and I loved how well animated it was (even though it can look a little silly at times). I’d definitely recommend Parasyte to anyone interested in horror anme and manga.

Who is your favourite actor in 4? Edward Elric’s Japanese voice actress Romi Park was my fave. She has The Range. When she voices Ed, I honestly believe every emotion, every performance she gives. From a scared child to a hero saving the world, she does an amazing job. 

Which do you prefer: 1, 2, or 5? It’s gonna be a close one between Carole & Tuesday and One Punch Man, that’s for sure. One Punch Man was an anime where I saw myself in the main character and his journey through depression and not knowing what to do in life, and Carole & Tuesday made me feel emotions I haven’t felt in a very long time and stressed the importance of music and friendship. Although, considering I have the Carole & Tuesday songs on a playlist and know every word to them all, and the impact that the series finale (and the series as a whole) had on me, I’m going to have to say Carole & Tuesday win this round because of just how much it meant to me. 

If you could be anyone from 4, who would you be? Oh man, I’d wanna be Olivier. The strength, the confidence, the pizazz... I think Olivier is everything I wanna be lmao. 

Would a crossover between 3 and 4 work? Parasyte and Fullmetal Alchemist? Hell yeah, I’d love to see that crossover. Maybe the parasites in that world could be a type of homunculous or something? They both had the same idea of infiltrating the government for their own personal gain too.

Pair two characters in 1 who would make an unlikely but strangely okay couple? Gus and Flora would make a great couple, I could definitely see them getting together after the series ends. Carole and Tuesday would be great too, though they work just as well as friends.

Overall, which show has the better storyline, 3 or 5? Tricky, but I’d have to go with Parasyte. There were a lot of interesting moments and discussions in the series that pulled me in, like “what is humanity?” and “what makes someone human?” and “at what point is someone no longer human?” and “is it possible for humans and parasites to coexist?” Madoka Magica was a great series, had some great moments and asked some equally as interesting questions, but I think Parasyte pulled it off better in the end.

Which has better theme music, 2 or 4? Oooohhhh, that’s a tough one... One Punch Man or Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood... I just listened yo all the songs from both to try make up my mind and I’m still a bit lost, so let’s go by “what’s more memorable/makes me feel some kind of emotion?” FMA: “Again” by Yui and “Shunkan Sentimental” by Scandal are the only ones that seem familiar and that I can remember when they aren’t in front of me. I know I’ve heard them all (I watched the entire series) but to say it probably has more music, I actually remember very little of it. OPM on the other hand... I know most of the words to “The Hero” by JAM Project and it makes me feel so hyped up. “Apostle of Silence” by JAM Project in the second season is just as rad and memorable. Both of the ending themes are beautiful and emotional. And the first ending theme seems to be about Genos wishing Saitama would come home safe, while the season two’s ending is sung by Saitama’s voice actor and seems to be a reply to the first season’s ending theme? Absolutely gay and iconic, 10/10. Wow, OPM hands down has the best music then I guess lmao.  I tag anyone who sees this that wants to do it~! Have fun, guys~! <3
