I have a very specific headcanon that Tina had super long hair around a year or so before canon and Gene got jealous and grew his hair out too, making a tiny ponytail. I also like to believe her ears used to be visible too! Then Bob and Linda got fed up with seeing their hair in various places such as the shower drain and hairbrushes, and forced them to get haircuts, thereby giving them the hairstyles we see in canon. Is this just me begging for more Gene and Tina interactions? Yes.

I suppose this can be considered a redraw of the long-haired Tina piece I made for @drawthething, because her sketch of Tina with long hair is so adorable, and I absolutely did not do it justice with that first piece. Consider this another gift, DT, because you deserve it! 🥰 Plus, we've been talking about giving Gene different hairstyles, so this is fitting. The sweater Tina is wearing is based off the 80s Zekina piece she shared yesterday. Gene with a ponytail was also very much inspired by @duckmine and their designs of Gene in a ponytail, because their art is the absolute best.

Why does Gene look bigger than Tina? I have no clue. Just pretend it’s a perspective thing I did on purpose and Tina is just slightly farther away from Gene—

what if one day silver just randomly asked tails about the science behind body temperatures and heat transfer and stuff just because he wanted to know why espio is always so cold at night when they start cuddling but then in the morning he's always very warm

Cute! I can see Silver be very interested in how the world works, also regarding himself and the people around him. The explanation that he is a mammal while Espio is a reptile probably already is very interesting to him, and even more with the implications that follow. I can imagine him just hanging out with Tails one day and going like "When Es and I go to bed he's cold but when we wake up he's very warm, but I'm always warm, so why does Es take my warmth but I don't take his cold?" and Tails can explain some small things about thermodynamics to him to clarify this phenomenon. Plus, that would make Espio the Friend With Perpetually Cold Hands of the bunch, which I think is quite funny!
