I dislike the Hunters of Artemis, but I don't know if I dislike Zoë Nightshade. Don't ask me how that can be. I mean, you'd think I'd hate her because I hate the general concept of the Hunters of Artemis. But no, she's actually tolerable. I respect her more than I respect Artemis. And I like her more than I like Bianca di Angelo. There were still some scenes when we first met her at camp where I was so mad at the hunters I hated her by default, but I honestly think Dionysus's speech about Heroes being bad and to "ask Zoë Nightshade" made me remember some stuff from when I read it years ago. So that helped me like her more.

I haven't gotten to the part of the book where they discuss her backstory, but I vaguely remember it. And if I remember it correctly, then she's the only Hunter of Artemis we see who I feel has a valid reason to be a Hunter. Bianca did it and ran away from her brother, so her reasoning is largely moot to me. And we hear no reasoning for any of the other hunters, so Zoë is the only good one we meet.

In summation, I hate the concept of the Hunters of Artemis with a burning passion. But I do like Zoë Nightshade. I don't really get it, but I suppose it doesn't really matter that much.
