yuuji manages to find the guts to hold megumi’s hand once and not more than 5 seconds later he gets the shovel talk from 90% of the people in megumi’s life. they truly mean their words that if yuuji ever makes megumi feel bad even by mistake, the higher ups r going to be the least of his problems. the same goes for sukuna.

the other 10% of people r frantically trying to book an immediate flight back to japan after his toes started tingling that something was up with His Boy.

just as yuuji thinks he managed the worst, he feels the hair on the back of his neck stand up and narrowly dodges assassination attempt courtesy of the zenin

The thing is that Megumi is actually such a low maintenance, chill boyfriend. Best boyfriend ever. He always replies to texts quickly. He’s on time to dates. He’s never jealous. They rarely fight, and when they do, it’s always because it’s legitimately important, and they always end up working it out. He lets Yuuji hold(!) his hand(!). The tips of his ears turn fire engine red whenever Yuuji does anything that shows off how Strong and Fast he is, which can be fun for Yuuji. It’s not a competition but also yes it is and Yuuji won it. He locked down The Best Boyfriend Ever. And it only took him 83 days of hardcore crushing, a 27 step plan, and nearly throwing himself off a cliff because he said “hooray” when Megumi told Yuuji he liked him.

He’s Done It. He Secured The Bag. Megumi Is His Boyfriend And The World Is A Perfect Place.

But everyone else seems to have some very strong opinions about that fact. Much stronger opinions than Megumi himself, who lets Yuuji hold(!) his hand(!).

There's a very confusing conversation with Inumaki and Panda about his intentions. Yuuji, very honestly, said that he didn't think he'd get far enough to have any real intentions past what he's already managed, which did not help. Maki had a similar conversation but it involved a sword. God's Perfect Man Who Already Gets Everything He Wants In Life And Certainly Doesn't Need to Butt Into This Too may be returning early from Africa. Yuuji would much rather that Africa keep him, please and thank you. There's a sniper that has him in his sights.

It's worth it.

eddie moves to texas, leaving buck in la, but crucially does not tell chris, just says he’ll see him soon. chris and eddie spend time together, are doing okay, chris wants to know how long a time off bobby gave his dad to visit texas, eddie informs chris that he actually lives here now and thinks chris will like his new room. chris is horrified because he never wanted to stay in texas. a call back to eddie quitting the 118, ‘i thought that’s what you wanted/i never said that” and chris is like well what now i don’t want to live in texas i want to go home, where’s buck? and eddie is once again tortured by the idea that he’s doing everything wrong because he uprooted his life, chris’s life, bucks life, and none of them wanted it. chris tells eddie to call buck immediately and eddie does and then we cut to bucks loft, where he’s sitting on eddies old couch with red eyes, raises the ringing phone, glances at the name, and then silences it and puts it back down, raises a beer and drinks in silence, shot exactly like the post-breakup scene but without eddie.

Because after Miles made himself the second dad of Trucy (even if Phoenix was reluctant to get any sort of help) and she called it out, it just sinked in

They both went "Yeah, Miles is your other dad"

And then Trucy asked if parents weren't ment to be married, as the little child she was, and they took it up like a "Okay, yeah, sure, let's get married"

And they are married, just like that (taking this up from the Japanese context, where is far easier to just get married) and there wasn't any super emotional break thru of their feelings, they just knew it was it, even tho Phoenix likes to tease Miles about the "Unnecesary feelings" from time to time

And that's it, that's the only change and it actually changes nothing, because Trucy doesn't talk about it, like, ever, its just how her family is, and that's it, unless she gets asked she won't be bringing it up

The only reason Apollo and company ever found out was because one day they noticed that "Wait, why does Mr. Wright wear a ring?"

Because neither him, not Miles usually wear it, except for their anniversary once a year, and same realization happens in the prosecutors office

And so, they ask Phoenix but he gets saved by Maya taking him out for the trial of the day, and they are left to investigate into the matter, because they don't have anything else to do anyways, and investigating stupid stuff is literally their job either way, bad thing is, their only witness is Trucy who won't tell them a thing because she thinks is more fun to let them uncover it on their own

And then you also have the team investigating on Miles' side, that would be Kay, who is curious as if this will finally lead to know who "that man" is, Sebastian, who is taking this a test to prove he's learned the methods of research of his mentor, Miles, and then Klavier also joins because he is just curious and will take in any chance to not be in his desk for five minutes and also is friends with Sebastian, they were classmates back in the day

Gumshoe is not on the team becuase he actually knows they're married, he was the witness for it as Fransizka was still out with Interpol affairs, tho that granted him a visit from her whip, actually, three of them got one for not waiting for her to be there, Maya got to record the whole thing, even if it was just signing some papers

escaping from arkham was always a good idea - that is something that barton never questioned. but strangely enough, after he decided to steal both his and mary's files from the archive room as one last 'fuck you' to the staff; a bit of fear had began to creep in as barton sat down with her and actually had time to open it now. but of course, he'd stolen some clothes off of some poor bystander before entering one of the few diners in gotham that was open at one AM. it was the only way that barton could enter the place as himself and that seemed to be pretty telling as to how his life was going.

at least the place had good comfort food to make him forget about that fact for a while. now, barton had no excuse not to open the file he'd stolen after he retrieved mary's as well as a passing thought. there was nothing really noteworthy in the section where they'd put all of his health information, but when barton got to the notes section based on various psychiatrists sessions with him? it was a whole nother story. an almost flabbergasted chuckle left his mouth at what he was reading.

❝ jesus h. christ, mary. do you think that they're paying those quacks down at arkham double-time for being comedians and pseudo-doctors? because this is... this is absolutely ridiculous what they're claiming about me. i mean, read it. ❞ flipping it for the other to read might've not been such a good idea in hindsight. the information written on there was extremely private, as the psychiatrist wrote about how barton seemed to have an ❛inability to form healthy relationships with caregivers (most likely due to wesley mathis's influence). while talking about how it felt to transition from his care to his surrogate father's, barton described feeling aversion to receiving affection from him.❜

❛happiness also appears to be something he has trouble with processing. wesley's emotional abuse, as well as neglect of his feelings, have had long-term effects on him. especially because he was unwilling to admit that there was any instance where his biological father was being purely malicious towards him. thus, there's a strong possibility barton's in denial about it.❜ but as if on cue, barton's perception of that being wrong was shattered almost completely combined with mary saying 'you're just as broken as i am.'

the thing was, barton certainly had some complex feelings about his father so maybe, just maybe... he knew that she was right deep down. and that there was at least some credibility to what this person said about him. barton's eyes welled up with tears as he bristled at the comment, ❝ hah. you know, you were supposed to agree with me there, not do the exact opposite. it just makes you look like an idiot like them. ❞

swiping the file away from mary is what he did next as he stood up. barton put down what he owed on the table, before saying, ❝ i'm leaving. i guess this is what i get for trying to connect with you for once. ❞
