i don’t think the “im going to see my gynecologist” line isn’t only just for us to know that barbie is fully human. the scene of her in the real world for a second (at least to me) seemed to imply barbie was getting some sort of dream job and found her purpose. but no. she’s just going to see a gynecologist. but the way she is so EXCITED… the way she’s taking the joy in this mundane thing that lots of women go through… the barbie movie is about enjoying just being ALIVE

I want to say that going into 2024 we expected this to be a car development season for Ferrari. There was a lot of lost time on that front. We have been getting good results and looking competitive so people(myself included) get excited about championship potential(or at least P2)

But after this many rounds I think it is clear that this is very much the car development season we expected from the start. I wasn't really expecting this to be the year for either championship. I never say never, I think we will see a lot more high points this year from both drivers.

I just think that it's good to recenter expectations, because I think they may have run away from us a little. We've had some very promising moments and I think the team are building on those.

What we've seen unfolding is closer to the car development season I imagined rather than any championship season thus far. So I'm not disappointed. Obviously there is a lot of work to do and there have been some mistakes, some pretty sizable ones at times. I am still liking the progress the team has made, race strategy has seen a massive improvement, so have pitstops, tyre management, and communication. I would not be surprised if we see more changes to the team this year to further improve performance.

I say all this to remind people of what we knew going into this year. The team still has a lot of work to do. The SF-24 is a step forward on a lot of fronts. But I think there are still some key areas that need improvement for it to be a championship level car.

But I am a hopeless fool, and a part of me will be thinking the championship is possible until Abu Dhabi.

Again Formula 1 is full of surprises, we may look back on this post in a few months and laugh at how wrong I was. We are still not at the halfway mark. A lot can change in a few races. So sit back and enjoy the show!

> realize the only cashiers there are me and this brand new girl

> "hey can you actually stay an extra 30 minutes tonight?"

> my 10 minute break finally comes. I go to buy my yogurt drink so I can go to the break room and inhale my sandwich

> see that they left the new girl on her own without a walkie talkie and she's so stressed she is literally crying as the line gets longer and longer

> realize I can't just leave her so I take over the register while also calming her down

> time goes by and I don't get a single opportunity to take my break the rest of my shift, nor can I eat my sandwich at the register

> decide to drink my yogurt drink while at the register so I can get something in my stomach at least

> learn the hard way that I've suddenly become allergic to mango AGAIN

> spend the rest of my shift having an allergic reaction

> new girl was apparently only scheduled until an hour BEFORE closing so after we close I need to close the registers, restock the front items, and then clean & mop the bathrooms and break room completely on my own

> all of this takes much longer than my scheduled shift's end

> I finally clock out well over 5 hours without having taken a single break or having any chance to eat or drink water

Eddie getting mad about Steve and Nancy flirting then encouraging Steve to get back with her is and will always be funny to me because we saw in real time how he kept digging himself a hole. His thought process was “okay get her back but don’t, flirt with her but don’t, win her over but don’t, GOOD LUCK!” While Steve was in his own little world deciding which curly head he wanted to kiss more.
