Food for Thought (Gojohime AU)
Utahime is at the right age to get married and have her own family, at 32 years old, her parents wants her to find a man and get married, give them grandchildren, some of her colleagues and friends are having their own family. Peer pressure and the feeling of being left out whenever there is a family gathering or her friends no longer join her saturday night outs due to taking care of their children. Except Shoko her beautiful and kind junior who is now a Doctor who always shares her time with her and going out with her, Shoko is always there with her. She is younger than Utahime and having friends with benefits with Geto, her high school class mate and friend, they are cool with their relationship (even though they’ve been together for almost 10 years already) Utahime don’t see Shoko having a hard time in dating.
One night as they are having their girls night out with Mei Mei and Shoko, Utahime talks about having someone to impregnate her and get done with the demands from her parents, all they want is to have a grandchild right? and Utahime has been thinking for a long time as well, since she is not getting younger, she also wants to have a child, someone she can nurture and love unconditionally, she may not admit it but she feels envious seeing her colleagues at work talking about their children, the pictures and all. She has not picture herself out of having a husband, due to an accident, there is a lingering scar on her face, and she knew that some men find it unattractive.
“You are being pessimistic again Hime” Shoko sighs as she drinks her glass of beer “You are beautiful and you will find a sperm donor in any seconds”
“What a weird way of complimenting her Shoko” Mei Mei taps Shoko’s forehead lightly “Anyway, Hime are you really sure of not giving a chance to go dating? you really want to get knock up by stranger?”
“Knock up by a stranger?” a deep voice coming from behind startled the girls and look at their back.
“Geto, what took you so long to come here?” Shoko move her bag from the empty seat and gestures the young man to sit beside her
“Sorry Shoko, I am with Satoru right now and he is joining us today” Geto move towards his seat and standing behind him is Gojo Satoru, His white hair stands out from the crowd and with his signature sunglasses and a black biker jacket with black shirt underneath, he is stunning and beautiful as ever.
“What is this ‘knock up by a stranger?’ you talking about?” Gojo sits beside Utahime without waiting for her approval and by the looks of her annoyed face, he is liking the reaction already.
“None of your business Gojo” Utahime ‘tsk’ as she finish her glass of beer.
Without knowing, two pair of eyes looking at them with mischievous look on their faces and a plan is already formulating as seeing the two starts talking to each other. Shoko knows that look from Mei Mei and nods her head with agreement. This will be an interesting night, Shoko thought as she raise her hand and order for another glass of beer.

“Ride Me Like a Rodeo” satosugu x fem. reader
Frat boys gojo and geto in cowboy costumes mmm
cw: frenemies to lovers, slight dumification, Eiffel Tower, creampies, slight degradation, cunnilingus, pet names (bunny, angel, pretty girl, etc), unestablished love to confessions
I didn’t really proof read I’m sorry for any typos
W.C: 5k
"Come on Y/n, please?" Shoko clasped her hands together, turning doe-eyed as she begged you to come to yet another college party with her, Utahime, and Mei. "For the last time, I said no. What's so different about this party? What's so special about it?" You sighed as Shoko climbed onto your bed. "This one is better. It's a costume party at the fraternity house. The best alcohol, the best weed, the best everything," Shoko raved. "If it's at that fraternity, then I definitely won't be going. Not with the wonder twins being there," you grumbled in annoyance. "Oh please, Satoru and Suguru won't bother you. They'll be too busy trying to secure a two-man with two desperate girls."
"Um, did you forget who we’re dealing with? It’s Satoru and Suguru. They’ve been picking on me since we were tweens. They aren't gonna stop now. God, I can hear them now," Shoko giggled. "Just admit you have a secret crush on them. The tension is so thick, you can cut through it with a knife," she teased and poked your cheek. "Don’t ever let that word, ‘crush’ come out of your lips again when it comes to talking about those two. And because of that, I’m really not going." You playfully pushed her off your bed and pulled the covers over your head.
"Okay, fine, I won't mention the obvious crush you have on them again," you said as you moved the duvet slightly down to show Shoko a very displeased eye. "Sorry, sorry. But seriously, they'll be distracted. If they end up picking on you, let's leave, okay?" she reassured. There was a bit of silence on your end as you contemplated whether or not it was really worth thinking about it in the first place. Although a costume party sounds fun, it's at the same frat Satoru and Suguru are in, and knowing them, they'll pick on your costume. God, they're annoying. But if they'll be distracted like Shoko said, and you hope to God they would be, there's no harm in a little fun. You could use it.
Even though you’ve always claimed that you couldn't stand them, the truth was quite the opposite. You’ve harbored crushes on them since we were kids. It all began with Suguru. He was always so laid-back, even at such a young age. Satoru, on the other hand, would constantly tease you by stealing your pencils and 'accidentally' tripping you in the hallways. But Suguru was always there to help you up. Despite his somewhat 'nice' demeanor, he was usually the mastermind behind the mischief that he and Satoru would get into. Nonetheless, your crush on them never fully faded away.
"Alright," you let out a long sigh. "I'll go." Shoko clapped her hands and brought her fist to her body, whispering a "yes." "Okay, we need to get costumes. We should leave like now." She yanked the duvet off your now freezing body and grabbed your arm. "Ow! Okay! Okay! I'm getting up."-
“What do you think of this one? Should we match?” Shoko held up a Playboy Bunny and a Hugh Hefner costume. “I was thinking, you could be the bunny, and I’ll be sexy Hugh Hefner.” She raised her eyebrows in her attempt to persuade you. “Seems kind of played out don’t you think?” You giggled at her frown. ‘You’re right. We need something that would make you stand out in front of them.” She winked. “Oh my God, Shoko,” You groaned. “Sorry, Sorry. You just make it so easy. C’mon, let’s go to the next aisle.”
You turn on your heel to go into the next aisle with Shoko following close behind. “I kind of want to be a cowgirl.” You picked up a black cowboy hat. “But my idea was played out?” She teased. “Your idea is a carbon copy of what everyone else would be wearing when we go tonight. Besides,” You placed the hat on your head. “I’d make a hot cowgirl.” Shoko pulled her phone out to take photos of you doing silly poses in the hat.
“Ooh, practicing for later?” You heard someone’s flirty, obnoxious voice travel through your ears behind you.
No.
you froze in embarrassment as the person who was standing behind you most definitely saw you place the hat on your head and pose for the camera Shoko pulled out. "Oh, look who it is!" Shoko shoved her phone back in her pocket and went to give the person behind you a hug. "Satoru! And, is that Suguru? What a nice surprise!" The way she said that made you narrow your eyes in suspicion. "Yeah, what a surprise," you turned around to face the two looming figures towering above you. "It's almost like Shoko knew you were gonna be here," you said through gritted teeth. "What, not happy to see us? I thought you'd be ecstatic," Satoru pouted and placed his heavy arm around your shoulder. You pushed his arm off in response. "Well, since we're here, we might as well look for costumes too. Maybe we can all match," Satoru smiled wide. "Absolutely not," You frowned. "Yeah, I agree. How weird would it be if we were all cowboys? Y/n, go find a new costume," Suguru took the hat from your head and placed it on his.
“No way, I claimed it. Give that back!” You lunged over to grab it from his hold. But he was too quick and ultimately too tall, so he used it to his advantage and held it above his head. “Come and get it.” He winked at you and you snarled. You looked to where you picked the hat up from, only for it to be the last one on the rack. “Suguru Geto, if you don’t give me my hat back, I’ll-” “Technically it’s not yours. You didn’t pay for it.” You groaned in frustration. “It’s not even worth it.” You turned to get other accessories for the costume you said you were going to wear. “You can keep the stupid hat. Practice your moves on Satoru or something.” You walked passed the boys to go pay for the remaining items. “Now you’ve done it.” Shoko snickered. “We didn’t even do anything? That mouth of hers is nasty.” Satoru frowned.
-
“I can’t believe those two,” You started on your rant for the third time. “I bet they weren’t even gonna be cowboys, it wasn’t until I had the hat on. Now I have to wear this costume.” You pouted. “Oh please, Lola bunny from space jam is still a sexy costume. You let them get under your skin too much.” Shoko reassured you from the other room. “Okay but, the whole purpose of me wanting to be a cowgirl was because of the hat. It was to complete the look!” You fixed the mascara smudge under your eye. “Maybe you can take it right back during the party.” You placed the bunny ears on top of your head. “It’s too late, the damage is done.” You dramatically sighed. You heard Shoko giggle as she walked into your room. “Woah,” was all she said staring at your figure.
The white halter crop top you wore really highlighted your figure and emphasized your curves, making you look stunning in the tight fabric. The snug-fitting white booty shorts were wrapped around your waist, accentuating your curves and making your backside look absolutely stunning. Your hair was styled in a high ponytail with a side bang, and you accessorized with knee-high white socks adorned with bold blue and red stripes at the knee. Needless to say, you looked incredibly sexy. “Holy shit, I don’t know what you’re so concerned about. You look fucking hot.” She eyed you up and down. “They’re not gonna know what hit ‘em.” As she was eyeing you, you had no choice but to stare at her costume too. She was a sexy nurse. Quite fitting since it’s what she was in school for. The white latex mini dress really squeezed her curves in all the right places. “You’re talking about me? Nurse, I think I’m sick. I think I need some assistance.” You giggled.
You both walked out the door to meet up with Utahime and Mei Utahime and Mei. “You both look so fucking amazing!” Utahime squeals jumping up and down. “You’re gonna be turning head tonight,” Mei eyed you both up and down. “Especially two people-” You groaned loudly. “Enough already!” Fingers going to quickly plug your ears so you don’t hear the end of that sentence. They all giggle at your discomfort. Both her and Mei were doing matching costumes with her as Chucky, and Mei as Chucky’s bride, Tiffany. You can’t deny, Mei looked really sexy in that corset. Utahime’s overalls really showed off her curves. “But anyway, so do you two! I can’t wait for the pics!” You wrapped your arms around each of their shoulders. “Ready to go?” Shoko pulled out a mini flash from between her breasts to take a swing and hand it to the three you. “Let’s go for it!”
You four walk up to the frat house, the loud music thrumming through your body from the outside. You gulp as you walk in. What was making you so nervous? You usually go party with these girls. What makes this time so different?
You four walked into the house and took a look around to see where you’d go first. On your right, you could see people playing beer pong, to your left you see a smaller group on the couch passing a blunt around. “Where do you guys wanna start?” You yelled over the music. “Let’s get drinks first!” Utahime suggested and you all nodded in unison. You made your way straight ahead to where the kitchen is to see the counter covered in cups and snacks scattered around. Shoko grabs a cup and hands it over to you. “What is it?” You asked her placing the rim of the cup to your lips. “Jungle juice. Drink up!” You smiled downing the whole drink.
“Huh, I didn’t know you had it in you Y/n. That mouth of yours is somethin’ else.” Your eyes instinctively roll at the sound of Suguru Geto's annoyingly sultry voice. As you turn around, you see both of them towering over you, causing your heart rate to quicken. They are both dressed as cowboys, exuding undeniable sex appeal. Their black button-up shirts are partially unbuttoned, revealing their chiseled and defined chests. The sleeves are rolled up to the elbows, showcasing their strong forearms. You can't help but gawk at their appearance, feeling a dull ache between your legs that you can't control. Your gaze eventually lands on the hat Suguru took from you at the costume store, bringing you back to reality.
“Honestly, we didn’t think you’d show up after what happened earlier.” Satoru took a sip of the drink he was holding. “Believe me, I didn’t want to, but Shoko wasn’t going to let that happen.” You pointed to Shoko next to you and sighed. “I really wasn’t. Besides, who wouldn’t pass up the opportunity to see you in this cute bunny costume!” She exclaimed. The two boys stood before you, their eyes lingering on your outfit, smirks playing on their lips as they scanned you from top to bottom.
“Fuck,” Satoru whispered under his breath. His pants starting to grow a little tighter. “Bunny, huh? Cute.” Suguru playfully raised his arm to flick one of the floppy ears on top of your head and chuckled, unable to tear his eyes away from you. You tilted your head in suspicion, sensing something unusual in their behavior. "Hands off, cowboy. I'm still mad you took my hat," you pouted, taking the cup from Satoru's hand and bringing it to your lips. Satoru seemed about to say something, but then hesitated. As you tilted the cup up to finish it, a few droplets escaped and trickled down to your top, leaving the very thin white fabric damp.Exposing what your left nipple looked like. You don’t know what came over you, but something told you this could be used as revenge. The constant annoying you during classes, or when they come over to visit Shoko, all you’re doing is drinking messily from a red solo cup, yet it has them speechless.
You wiped your mouth then grabbed Satoru’s hand and placed the cup back in his grasp. “Ready to dance Shok?” You held your arm out to her as she stared at you for a few seconds then linked arms with you. The both of you walk passed Suguru and Satoru, feeling daggers being sent straight to your backside. “What was that over there? You trying to start something?” She joked. “Maybe. But did you see how quiet they both got? Let me bask in this really quick.”
Both boys watched as you danced with Shoko, grinding and swiveling your hips against her and flashing your signature smile. As soon as you were getting comfortable dancing with shoko, you feel her soft body being replaced what felt like a masculine figure. You don’t stop dancing, figuring it might be a frat boy looking to get some ass thrown back on him or something, but that voice sounded too familiar. “Didn’t know you could dance like this either. You’re holding out on me, bunny.” You whipped your head around to see Suguru behind you with a half smile on his stupid perfect face. “How did you- where’s Shoko?” You studdered in confusion. “Dancing with some guy. She told me to take her place.” He began to run his hands up and down your sides. You’d kill Shoko for pulling a stunt like this, but you also didn’t want him to stop. His hands on you just felt so good. “Don’t stop dancing now. C’mon bunny, show me how you were dancing before I got here.”
“Don’t call me that,” You snapped. You began to move you hips along with the music and placed your hands on top of the ones that were on your body currently. “You’re so cute when you listen, pretty.” Suguru's warm breath caressed your neck, sending tingles down your spine. His presence was captivating, drawing you in with an intoxicating allure. His sultry voice held a power that seemed to command obedience from anyone who heard it. As the alcohol coursed through your veins, warmth and relaxation spread through your body, creating a sense of dangerous excitement. ‘Fuck it, it’s halloweekend. Who cares?’ You thought, grinding on him even harder. “Tryin’ to get a rise outta me or somethin’?” He could barely keep his composure. “I already did. Wanna know how?” Suguru bent down a little to humor you so his ear was at your face level. “Because I can feel it.” You lightly grazed the shell of his ear with your teeth, that sending him over the edge. “You’re killing me,” He breathes out. “What are you gonna do about it? What are you and Satoru gonna do about it?” You tease.
-
It didn’t take long for Suguru to hoist you over his shoulder and carry you up the stairs to his room. "I was just waiting for the green light, sweetheart," he says as he smacks your ass and swings open his bedroom door. "About time," you say quietly, praying he didn’t catch that. “Parading around in these shorts of yours, you’re such a fuckin’ tease you know that?” He set you down and smacked your ass once more. “Did it work?” You stared up at him with big eyes making his cock twitch. “More than you ever know.” He walked up closer to you, causing you to back away and land on his bed. He climbs on top of you and lightly grazes your neck with his lips. “Tell me you want this, Y/n. Tell me. If you don't, I’ll stop. Please tell me you want this too.” He pleads, grazing his nose up and down your neck. “I..I want thi-” The door swung open and there stood Satoru. “Yo, I was looking for you everywhere. We’re gonna play a drinking game and-” He stopped to fully unpack the situation that was unfolding before him. “Aw man! Don’t tell me you’ve started without me!” Satoru pouted. “Nothing even happened.” Suguru rolls his eyes. “Now you’re here, you might as well join. What do you think, sweetheart? Want us to take turns with you?” Suguru places his thigh in between your legs to add some pressure. You moan softly at the feeling and nod your head. “We need your words, pretty.”
Suguru starts to softly move his thigh up and down your clothed cunt to give you more friction. “Fuck, yes. Please.” You plead. “That all I needed.” Satoru unbuttons his top and gets into bed next to the two of you. He tilts your jaw to face him and smashes his lips into yours. His kisses were sloppy, but just enough to make you feel so intoxicated off of him. It was a different contrast from Suguru dry humping you, clearly feeling his hard cock begging to be let out of the restraints. “You had some nerve showing up to this party in those tight ass shorts, princess.” Satoru said between kisses. “And -fuck- these ears. Were you trying to tease us, bunny?” Suguru added on. “Maybe,” You giggled. Suguru kisses down your neck and slowly lifts your top up to expose your breasts. He hissed at your perked nipples, mouth-watering as your chest rose and fell watching you messily make out with Satoru. He licked a long stripe from your belly button to the valley of each breast before latching onto your nipple. You moaned in Satoru’s mouth as Suguru swirled his tongue. “Fuck, Sugu,” You ran your fingers in his hair. “Hey, what about me?” Satoru pouts his kiss-bruised lips.
“Attention whore,” You teases and kissed his lips. You gasped suddenly at Suguru slowly pulling your shorts down. “Thereee we go, no no, keep those sock on. They look so sexy squeezing your thighs.” He stopped your wrists from pulling them down as he spread your legs apart, showcasing the damp spot in the middle of your underwear. “Oh, look at this Satoru,” The blue-eyed man got down on his knees next to his best friend to see what he was being shown. “Someone’s eager,” He cooed and placed the pad of his thumb on your print causing you to moan out. “Mph! Fuck,” You threatened to close your legs around them. “Satoru, I have an idea,” Suguru whispered. The only thing you felt was your thong being pulled down and their warm breaths fanning over your heat. In the next moment, you felt someone's warm, wet tongue swirling at the entrance of your cunt. Your breath hitched at the feeling, only for it to be completely ripped away from you when you felt another tongue applying pressure to your clit. “Oh- Oh my God!” You shot up, propping yourself up by your elbows to watch the two go down on you at the same time. The noises they were both made with their tongues and the moans coming from each of them, caused a dull vibration throughout your lower half. “Oh my God, it feels..s-so good,” Your moans filled the room as you plopped back down on your back and grabbed a handful of hair from each head. You could only focus your eyes on the ceiling, as watching the two of them devour you like it was their last meal was too much for your pretty head to handle. “Look at us bunny,” Suguru commanded. “Look at us as we taste you. We wanna see that pretty face.” You took a deep breath and tilted your head down to watch as Satoru slowly inserted two fingers inside of you. You whined and bucked your hips up. “Shh, it’s okay bunny, it’s okay. It feels good doesn’t it?” Satoru cooed and kissed your inner thigh. It didn’t take long for Suguru to insert his fingers inside of you as well, giving you a nice stretch. You whined louder at the feeling and began to jerk your hips around.
“Uh uh, try not to move sweetheart, we’re just getting you ready for you to take us.” Suguru lightly scolded and began to push his fingers in and out of your sopping wet cunt at the opposite time as Satoru. You lie there sucking air in and out of your lungs as you felt micro heat waves crash over your lower half. The waves were only getting stronger as Suguru started curling his fingers hitting your g-spot, causing your back to arch. “Oh, Fuck! I’m so close!” Your breathing was uneven and legs trembling as your moans intensified. The waves getting bigger and bigger quickly crashing down as Satoru swirls his tongue around your clit to get you there. Your jaw goes slack and Suguru holds your waist down with his free arm to prevent you from jerking around too much. Fingers never stopping, only fastening in speed and you rode out your orgasm. Slowly, they pulled out their fingers and placed them in their mouths, getting a proper taste of you.
“You taste amazing bunny,” Satoru gushes. You couldn’t respond. Still shocked over the earth shattering orgasm you just experienced. Your breathing was heavy as you stared at the ceiling. “Don’t tell me we already fucked you stupid.” Suguru joked, which made you snap out of whatever trance you were in. “Oh please, I was thinking about Toji.” You teased and they both looked at you with a blank face. You knew it would get under their skin. Since they hated Toji. He was a very popular athlete from your rival school. So for you to bring him up at a time like this? You were in for it.
“You know, for such a cute costume, you sure do have a filthy mouth.” Suguru unbuckled his pants. “Let’s give you something to fix that, hm?” He pulled his pants down and got on top of you, legs on either side of your face with his cock right in front of you. He lazily jerked himself off a couple of times before tapping the tip on your lips, letting his precum get all over them. “I’ve got something for that smart mouth bunny, c’mon, open up.” He held your jaw with his hand and slowly pushed himself in your mouth. “Argh, fuck. This mouth is so warm,” he grunted, forcing you to take him all the way down. “There we go, take all of it bunny. Good girl.” Suguru kept holding your jaw, watching your big bold eyes grow wide as you sucked him in. You whimpered at the feeling of Satoru’s tip circling your opening. “Think you can take both of us at the same time sweetheart?” Suguru let you take him out of you mouth to verbally say yes. “Yes, fuck me Toru, please.” You pleaded. “So polite now after you’ve had my cock in your mouth.” Suguru comes as you moan at the feeling of Satoru pushing himself inside you. “So tight angel. Look at how well she’s sucking me in.” He rubs your clit. Satoru wastes no time bottoming out inside of you, causing you to moan out with Suguru’s cock still around your mouth. “Mmph, fuck bunny, ‘feels so good moaning around me like that.” He moans throwing his head back. Satoru matches his thrusts with his best friends’ making you feel dizzy in the best way possible.
“Fuck, this pussy is so good. You’re doing so good baby. Taking us in like this. Such a dirty fuckin’ girl.” Satoru’s mouth getting filthier the more he fucks you. “Gonna make me cum deep inside you already.” He chuckles, dropping a glob of spit right where you both meet. “Ah, you can last longer than that, Satoru. Otherwise it’d be embarrassing.” The raven-eyed man joked. “Oh? Wanna make this a bet?” Satoru sassed. Flashing the back of Suguru’s head a smirk. “Don’t start -fuck that’s it- somethin’ you can’t finish,” Satoru chuckled and continued to pound deep into you. The contrast of Suguru fucking your mouth nice and slow verses Satoru’s hard and deep thrusts were driving you insane. It was making your orgasm approach at lightning speed, not even giving you a chance to announce it. Your moans got louder, you clenched tightly around Satoru’s cock, making it harder for him to thrust in and out. “Oh shiiit,” He hisses at the feeling of you creaming on his cock. “You’re tryna milk me right now..it’s gonna make me -fuck- cum.” His eyes squeeze shut as he continues to thrust into you. Hoping by not looking at the white ring forming around his cock, it’ll get him to last longer. But when one sense is gone, the other sense heightens, so his sense of touch only made his cock more sensitive. “Fuuuuuck shit, y/n y’er killin’ me. Gonna cum and you’re gonna take it so fuckin’ deep, I don’t even care anymore.” His movements come to a halt as he pours thick ropes of cum deep inside of you. Your moans are high pitched as you feel him fill you up so deep. Both of you and Satoru’s moans were more than enough to have Suguru flooding you mouth with his cum as well. “Oh shit, there we go bunny, there we go, take my fucking cum.” He’s holding your jaw as if the feed it down your throat. He slowly pulls it out and taps the tip on your tongue.
“Still with us sweetheart?” Satoru rubs your thigh and you lazily nod. “Good, cause you’re gonna ride me.” Suguru flips you over so you’re on top of him. Very fitting that the took everything off besides the cowboy hats, and you took everything off besides the bunny ears and the knee high socks. “D-Don’t let that stupid hat get to your head.” You said with all the wittiness you had left. “And yet, here you are, about to ride me like a..cowboy,” Suguru lifted your hip up with one hand and aligned his cock under you. “Now bounce on this cock like the good little bunny you are.” He lowered your hips all the way down onto him, making your back arch in response. “Fuck! S-Sugu,” you squeaked. You bounced up and down, the smacking of your thighs connecting to his. “Fuck, you’re so wet sweetheart.” Suguru grunted. “Yeah? Usin’ my cum as lube Sugu?” Satoru stood up on the bed, standing next to his best friend, lazily jerking his cock off in front of your face. “Gonna suck on my tip, gorgeous?” He forcefully pushed his tip past your lips. You wrapped your mouth around it and used your free hand to stroke the rest of his length. “Fuck bunny, gonna make me come again, haha.” He nervously chuckled, surprised at the fact that you were about to make him come again. “I’m right behind you, fuck baby girl, ‘m gonna fill you up again.” Suguru grabbed both hips and began to piston into you. Your moans were increasing in speed, letting them know you were right behind them. At this rate, you’re all going to come at the same time.
“Fuck, oh fuck, ‘M gonna cum on that pretty face bunny.” Satoru shoved you off of him to hold the back of your head and began aggressively jerking off in your face. “Open wide for me, pretty.” You opened your mouth sticking your tongue out for him. His moans got louder and haulted as hot, stickey cum splattered your face. Suguru watching this play out in front of him made him cum deep inside of you. He held your hips down waiting for him to finish. You whined at the painfully good feeling. “Gotta make sure it takes, bunny.” He grinds himself further into you and slowly pulls out, watching his and Satoru’s come flow out of you. “C’mere pretty girl,” Suguru opens his arms for you to lay in it. Satoru takes his shirt from the floor to wipe your face. “My bunny makeup.” You pouted at him resulting in Satoru kissing you. “Man, you don’t know how long we’ve waited for this,” Suguru confessed caressing your back. “God, you showing up in these shorts, ‘wanted to rip them off of you the moment I saw you.” Satoru flicks your bunny ears. “Fuckin’ finally.” You unintentionally muttered.
“Wait, what do you mean?” Suddenly you’re silent. The boldness you once felt disappeared. Your eyes widened. You didn’t realize you said it out loud. You sucked in a deep breath and swallowed hard. Might as well get this over with. “W-well, I’ve kind of had a crush on you- and Satoru for a while now.” You evaded their piercing gazes. Other than the music playing downstairs, the room was quiet. Your face was burning up. You wanted to just run out of the room- away from this party. Forget this night ever happened. Lost in thought, you almost completely missed the snort Satoru made as him and Suguru fell into a full fit of laughter. Oh God, this is embarrassing. The laughter quickly died down the moment they saw the sad look on your face. “Oh, sweetheart.” Suguru kisses your hand. “No need to pout, I feel the exact same way, and I’m sure Satoru does too.” Satoru nods in agreement. “Why else have we been picking on you?” You three sit in Suguru’s bed in silence for a while. “So, what now?” You muttered quietly. “So, we’ll see where this goes!” Satoru chirped. “That doesn’t mean that we’re gonna stop though.” You smiled to yourself. The boys that you’ve had a crush on for years finally knew how you felt, and felt the same way.

•Yup. The moment Gojo said “Isn’t she hot?” I BET YOU LOOKED OVER TO SEE WHO IT WAS yes, I watched dub.
•He would most likely tease you with Geto when your crush walked by.
•Gojo would probably ask you for girl advice and you would ask him back.
•Now you guys are going through a chalkboard all about girls and crushes to see all the possible outcomes of asking them out.
•He would probably sit with you in silence but try to lighten the mood by saying “Found any new girls yet?”
•Gojo is definitely going to make several jokes about you liking Shoko, Mei mei, and even Utahime-
•Whenever you talk to a girl you like, he would most likely start playing some romantic music to embarrass you
•The thing he would stoop down low to is while meeting Riko, he would say “Woah there Y/n! We can’t have a pedophile near the kid!”
•*Cue Geto scolding Gojo for saying that IN FRONT of Riko*
ADULT GOJO:
•He would definitely still pull the pedophile joke in front of his students
•Yuji and Nobara FLIP when they find out you liked girls
•ofc Megs knew cuz Gojo begged you to help out with Megumi and Tsumiki years ago
•Once you find out about the Jogo and Gojo fight, you immediately have the urge to ask him “So.. you’re gay now?”
•He’d probably answer with “So.. you’re still single?” or “Maybe I am, maybe I’m not.”
•But let’s say you actually a girlfriend..
•HE IS SPILLING TEA WITH THE 1 YEARS AND THE 2ND YEARS ASAP😭
•Now, you have teenagers begging to meet your girlfriend.
•If you ever break up with her, then expect Gojo to either barge into your house with a TON sweets
•”sigh.. I always knew you were gonna stay single!”
•During the reunion with Geto and shit, he would just drop the bomb on you and say “You still single? Seems like girls just aren’t into you.” JUST TO PISS YOU OFF AND EXPOSE YOU IN FRONT OF THE 2ND YEARS😨 cuz he’s just that kind of bitch

Note: Wow, that was kinda short but it was all I could think of! Hope you enjoyed! My requests are always open! <3

Asking Something of You
A/N: I wrote this like last week and in light of anything dropping tonight, I decided to post this. Not even sure I've processed anything that's happened in the manga recently, but I hope you enjoy! To make note, I don't blatantly drop big things in this (just light threads) but the last bit is post being boxed.
Pairing: Satoru Gojo x Reader
Summary: Four times Gojo asks something of you and the one time you ask something of him.
CW: Nothing in particular because I didn't want to make this one sad tbh.
I.
Your phone rang as you walked through a store with Shoko. It was the first real break either of you had in a while. “Are you busy?” asked the voice over the phone.
“Very busy,” you answered as you shifted a shopping bag to your other arm. Shoko looked at you and you smiled at her. As if she could telepathically understand who you were speaking to, she shook her head. Gojo hadn’t been around for some days, but you also didn’t want to abandon Shoko.
“Whyyy?” he whined. “It’s an emergency!”
“Call emergency services,” you said.
“But you’re the only person who can solve it,” he argued.
“What is it that you even need?” you asked him. You looked at the dresses that Shoko was pulling out and comparing. With every option, you would nod or shake your head.
“Wanna see you is all,” he said. Endearing, even if annoying.
“You can see me when I’m done with Ieiri today,” you said. “Until then, you can hang tight, right?”
“Not sure I’ll survive long enough,” he said.
“I promise I’ll give you all my time when I get back, okay?” you said.
“Fine,” he said. “But I get to pick what we do, okay?”
“It’s gonna be one of those cheesy movies, isn’t it?” you asked. You could already envision his smile at your question.
“100 percent,” he answered before hanging up.
II.
“(Y/N),” said Gojo over the phone. You stared at the clock in confusion. It was early in the morning.
“Hm? What do you need so early in the morning?” you mumbled. Your mind was half-awake as the other half fought to remain asleep.
“I need you to help me out,” he said. “I need to get Megumi and Tsumiki to school, but I also have to do a mission…” You recognized the names as the two kids that he’d adopted recently. You hadn’t met them just yet since they’d been adjusting to Gojo and you hadn’t wanted to overwhelm them too much with too many new people.
“Do you think it’s fine if I meet them?” you asked. You’d sat up on your bed and begun to move to get ready.
“I’d love it if you did,” he answered. “And I’d appreciate your help…you’re the only person I can trust.” He sounded tired.
“Okay,” you said as you pulled clothes out of your closet. “Send me the address and head over there after I get ready.”
“Thank you, I owe you,” he said.
“Don’t sweat it,” you said. “I’m happy to help.”
III.
"What is it?" you asked him. Your cup of coffee had gone cold ages ago. You'd barely taken a sip from it when Gojo waltzed into your classroom and just sat down without saying a word.
It was odd to see him so serious but the small frown on his face indicated that something was wrong. "There's a mole in our midst," he answered. Your eyebrows furrowed. Mole?
"Huh?" you said.
"Everything that's happened was too precise…like someone within our ranks has been leaking it," he said. You couldn't deny that.
"Any ideas?" you asked. You had no names. All of the students that you and Gojo shared were trustworthy. None of them seemed to be acting strange nor had you gotten suspicious or anything.
"Not yet. I'm gonna tell Utahime to be more cautious, though. What happened can't happen again. We got caught off guard. What if it'd been worse?" he asked. You didn't want to think about it. Yuji'd nearly been killed and the injuries that some of them had sustained weren't great.
Things were turning upside down so quickly. "I'll keep an eye out," you said. "I'm guessing that wasn't all you wanted to say?"
"I'm gonna head out and investigate some stuff. You willing to keep the fort down while I'm gone?" he said.
"Absolutely," you answered. You'd probably have to move around the upperclassmen to later in the day to fit in the underclassmen. Manageable. A bit annoying but manageable.
He got up and stretched before beginning to walk out. "Thanks, always know I can count on you," he said. "Oh, by the way, my phone will always be on in case you need anything."
"Take care of yourself!" you said as he waved goodbye.
IV.
“Satoru, you better take care of yourself,” you said angrily as you looked your husband in the eyes. Even leaning down, he was still so tall.
“You gonna miss me?” he teased.
“So much,” you answered. “That’s why you better take care of yourself, okay?” The two of you were splitting up to cover more ground. The sudden situation had taken a turn that none of you were expecting. But importantly, you had to find the students.
“Promise to call me if anything happens,” he said.
“I should be saying that to you!” you said.
“One more thing, if something were to happen to me, don’t act rashly,” said Gojo.
“You say that as if you know something, Satoru,” you said softly. You didn’t like to think of a possibility where he would get hurt.
“I don’t. But I also don’t want you getting hurt. If something were to happen to you…” You smiled at him.
“Nothing will. Just as you’ll be okay. We’ll meet back up once this is over and it’ll all be okay,” you reassured him. You turned to start heading off to find the others.
“Just promise me that you’ll take care of yourself,” he called out. You turned around and raised your thumbs up.
“I promise it,” you said. He smiled and disappeared.
V.
“Satoru,” you said. You didn’t know if you wanted to cry or smile at seeing him again. Your husband in the flesh in front of you again. His arms around you were real. His warmth was real. The tears that you’d pushed down while he’d been trapped away surfaced up.
“I’m sorry,” he said. “I shouldn’t be the reason you ever cry.”
“I’m just happy, Satoru,” you said. “I’m so happy that you’re right here…”
“You’re okay? You weren’t hurt too badly or anything?” he said as he pulled away. His eyes scanned your body quickly as if trying to find any injury.
“I’m fine now,” you said. “But Satoru, are you going to fight?” He nodded. There couldn’t be more time for the two of you right now.
“Promise me that you’ll come back, yeah?” you said.
“I will,” he said.
“I know,” you said. “So, go win.” He kissed your forehead before leaving you to go fight.
He’d win. He’d promised that he would.

Hello op! I am one of those people who actually like Utahime as characters, my initial reason was her character design and name (I still think she has the best design among the female cast in jjk, maki and yuki aside). Her CT made me love her more, cause that differentiates her from other jujutsu sorcerers, where selfishness and greed is required to become ones absolute best self, Utahime’s CT does the opposite though, she as a human and also by the virtue of her CT can never really be selfish in a way. She literally powers up others (and herself), and her major strength lies in connections (again completely different from what is expected of sorcerers). If we break down her CT, she is the strongest version of herself (since her CT also powers herself) when she is with others helping them to be even stronger, almost exactly opposite of what gojo, the pinnacle of what jujutsu society represents.
I am also someone whose perception of her don't align with that of her majority fandom, I think you are one of those people, too. I would love to know your thoughts on how you personally perceive her and why your point of view is different. Cause there are times I wanna discuss something about her with my irl mutual, but then again, it never goes well. They are too deep in fanon stuff. I am someone who generally likes to keep my headcanon toned down and mostly stick to canon. I really wanted a pov of someone who actually likes her but also respects canon quite equally.
I honestly would have loved to see her more. This is not even something i am saying a fan, but even as a minor character, what she represents is just so different from everything we have been told (even her students defy that).
I hope I didn't bother you a lot with my ramblings 🙏
Nah you're all good anon! I love it when I get to ramble with other ppl about my faves and I wholeheartedly agree with your sentiments of Utahime! I'll proceed to just dump all my thoughts about her as well and discuss what fandom thinks of her from what I've seen.
One thing that I've picked up from fanon of view of Utahime (in some of the fics I've read) is she's SOLELY this strict teacher all about respecting tradition/authority when it's not and it reduces her to that "respect your seniors!" dialogue. In fact, I can even argue that Gojo represents more of JJK traditional view in valuing individual strength even how much he says he's being progressive. His view of dividing people between strength vs weak screams kinda the same as those traditional clans valuing cursed techniques above anything else. Meanwhile, Utahime's value of teamwork challenges this traditional view of individual strength when like Gojo said, the pinnacle of jujutsu, all sorcerers die alone even how much allies you have 'cause the jjk world is an individual sport.
But let's break down this a bit and see what Gojo mean by jjk being an individual sport. We have seen so far that people who usually ascend the ranks are pretty selfish. Mei Mei who cites herself having a pretty weak technique, optimized her CT by using her brother. Kusakabe who doesn't have a proper CT was able to be a grade one rank because he, at the beginning of the Shibuya arc, wants to save his own skin and would rather stay behind in fighting (but dude later on helped in pulling out the kyoto kids from the Kenjaku attack, still dude can be selfish). The big clan families will kill each other over cursed techniques. Gojo himself advised Megumi to be more selfish and greedy in power when they were training together. Of course, there are outliers such as a strong sorcerers like Nanami, who cares for children, but boom ended up getting killed right at the very end while Mei Mei was able to go to her Malaysia trip. It paints this image that selfishness is a needed trait to survive the jujutsu world and rise to power.
However by Utahime promoting teamwork shown through her kids, teamwork can give up the idea of selfishness because we learn when to trust others and work together for a common goal. It can save people especially in a world where being "weak" is a disadvantage. An excellent example of teamwork from Kyoto Tech is shown through that one scene in jjk 0 how each kid has a role in their group attacks which optimizes their cursed technique no matter how VARIED their ranks/skills are. Momo usually surveys the area, communicates to others, and is like the oversees everything in a big picture. Kamo acts as the leader, looks out for everyone and keeps them in task. Mai is the long range shooter and can back people up. Mechamaru constantly backs others up like Miwa. Meanwhile, of course, there's our fun outlier, Todo.
But the funny thing is despite Todo usually going off his own, breaking the "yay teamwork!" streak of Kyoto tech, his character brings up another essential point about teamwork: connecting with others. If it weren't for Todo showing up in helping Yuuji against Mahito, then Yuuji wouldn't be able to defeat him right after seeing Nobara blown up. Todo works best/fights best with his besto friendo. Todo is the same dude who said being sorcerers means always honoring their allies/friends because they keep us going. It's still very much in line in the spirit of Kyoto kids' teamwork and also their connection with others. Muta and Miwa. Mai and Maki. Momo and her bond with Mai and Miwa. Kamo and his mom. There's also their teacher Utahime who is close friends with Shoko, and she probably influenced these kids to get along with each other and foster that teamwork skills (you know like the MANY MAANNNYYY times Uta keeps on saying that the kyoto-tokyo kids should get along during the goodwill event). I'm not saying Tokyo kids can't get along, but it's not as the same degree as Kyoto's. I think what Kyoto's dynamic different is how they can be vulnerable with others and open about their problems/feelings which helps in these kids growing closer. For example, Momo is well aware of Mai's situation and will defend her. Miwa, who's well aware that growing closer will only end up hurting them because of the inevitable death in jjk, still chose to connect with her peers, and that lead to Muta even falling in love with her. For Tokyo, let's take an example of how the first years reacted to Yuuji's "death." Both Megumi and Nobara definitely tried hard to keep that stoic front. Nobara said how she can't cry on some guy she just knew for a few months when in fact Nobara is clearly affected. In the earlier arcs, Megumi and Yuuji were keeping secrets from each other about the whole "eating the Sukuna finger actually made things worse by awakening other fingers and kills more people everyday." The second years became close because of Yuta's nature who constantly reach out to everyone and not under Gojo's influence.
Moreover, I don't think I've seen this much group cohesion like Kyoto’s compared to Tokyo because it stuck to me how in Shibuya arc, the Tokyo kids are just constantly going off their own to prove their strength like Maki and Nobara which yes is a bit understandable cuz these kids are strong, but would it be so much stronger if they work together? But Gojo, their teacher, has established that he does not really advocate teamwork (even if he did for other’s help like Nanami and Utahime, he still ended up doing things alone). If Gojo's students are all strong individually because he's very particular in choosing his kids(aka choosing them for their potential/strength), then Utahime's student's are weak individually HOWEVER more stronger as a group. No wonder she is adored by everyone. No wonder that when Miwa was at her lowest during Muta's death, Kyoto tech was there for her.
However, there are times too when Utahime is carried away by the system and her students fell victims to it too(like the time she didn't know her student were targeting Yuuji, how Mai and Muta died in cruel way) because as the opposite of Gojo, she isn't traditionally strong who has the power to defy authority. She's more subtle about it because she works around the system (shown in investigating that haunted mansion from gojo's past arc and working to find the mole within the ranks and students) and doesn't easily power through them like how Gojo destroyed the mansion and can do whatever he wants cuz of his "strongest" title. That's why Gojo asked her help because she could investigate within the system and he couldn't do something like that when he's all about being loud and throwing around his weight. There are pros/con to her subtle nature, but since the JJK world favors the strong, then she gets stuff unchecked. So, NO, I don't think she's all that "strictly respect traditions/authority" type of person. She just knows how to play politics especially in a world where they will hammer down who is weak against the system, and yet, despite that, she's able to influence her kids to do something that sorcerers struggle with.
This is why her CT is beautiful too because literally and thematically anyone who gets into her "zone" will be strengthened by her. I've seen complaints about Utahime's CT in being merely a support/buffer type. Some people had been expecting that it could be something powerful and not just buffing people up. I’m guessing that its the girlboss belief that fans can latch onto. I mean most of the jjk girls are tough as nails that the fans like which yes is understandable! But I’ve seen this happen way too many time in shonen spaces where at times the considered “weak” or "support-type" fem characters are easily non favorable for fans. I think such thing doesn’t help people actually analyze the text and for me, if such character is written well then I’m 100% in (like c’mon, Miwa’s a “weak” character and yet she’s compelling not just her fun personality, but how she struggles with grief and a world where she gets her ass kicked for being weak). As for Utahime’s case, I love it! Because the whole point of the cursed techniques is it reflects a lot like of its user’s psyche and the series establishes that Utahime values teamwork and her connections with others which is anomaly in the jjk world, and it makes her CT badass in that way. That’s why it’s no wonder she’s a natural in supporting others! It 👏makes 👏sense👏!
My next fanon and canon comparison is more within the gjhm fandom which will be a bit controversial. Like I'm a gjhm shipper myself but there are times I have some issues in how they deal with Utahime. I think at times Utahime's spunk gets taken away just so she could coddle Gojo and easily ship them together fast. Like yall Utahime actually has some genuine reasons why she hates him not just 'cause of his annoying ass but cuz of his "weak" mockery to her. And I find it very much so amazing that Utahime's doesn't take his shit and will retaliate. I think it's Utahime wanting Gojo to be accountable on shit he does (like dang man this dude been getting away from shit) 'cause Gojo does perceive people in the traditional fashion of strong vs weak lenses. I keep on saying strong vs weak lenses because how Gojo nitpicks people he wants to "save" and that's usually people with "potential." Is it altogether bad wanting kids/students that have the drive to be stronger? Well, not exactly, no but when he started spouting how he wants to raise a generation way better than the higher ups, then why doesn't he include ALL of generation whether the kids start of strong or weak. Why didn't he pull out both Maki AND Mai from their Zenin situation? Don't give me the bullshit of "I can't save everyone who doesn't want to be saved" because especially if this is kids put in a dangerous environment, then it would be the job of adults to be responsible for them.
This is where the comparison of Utahime can show up again. Even how much different her kids are, personality and sorcery skill wise (llike Mai, Momo's fiery personalities way different from Miwa's, Kyoto being quite annoyed by Kamo's leader attitude), they obviously still make their group attacks work whether one is disadvantage in some skill or not. Utahime again and again is shown to care for her students whether not they're strong or weak. She prioritize their safety when that attack from goodwill arc showed up, and she went to the frontlines during the Kyoto-Kenjaku attack back in Shibuya.
I think, just personally, the fanon of Utahime coddling Gojo is ain't it for me when in many ways, Utahime can point out the flaws of Gojo's teaching that he needs. I'm not saying Utahime doesn't have her flaws either because she's weak to a whole system against her and there are times she couldn't be there for her students.
But yeah, that's about it for my Utahime thoughts and fanon discussion. Anon, if you have any fanon interpretation that you've encounter or more Utahime thoughts and wanna share then please feel free to drop an ask! ;)

laughing gas - mai zenin x reader
request: “Mai Zenin x Fem S/o, where the s/o gets their wisdom tooth removed and confesses their love to mai acting all sweet and cute, mai then takes care of her s/o and confesses too, we can see mai being her bratty and confident self but when she is with her s/o she just lets her walls down” - @shockfirefly
summary: in the request! (genre: fluff, friends to lovers, slice of life, humor)
warnings: reader is high on anesthesia if that counts as a warning, swearing, mostly just tooth rotting fluff (literally!!)
word count: 2k
a/n: i really enjoyed writing this request! at this point i’m basically just a mai zenin stan account tbh but the requests for her are just so fun to write. i’m almost on summer break so hopefully i’ll be more active bc i have a few ideas i’m excited to write for!!
it seriously took everything in mai’s willpower to not immediately whip out her phone to film your groggy state the moment she stepped into the room where you had just gotten your surgery done. she stifled a laugh at the bandage wrapped around your head, vaguely reminiscent of the one noritoshi had worn following the exchange event. when your eyes flicker over to meet her gaze, you give what she can only assume is your attempt at a smile, but looks more like a dog caught eating its owner’s dinner, with your face all swollen and slightly flushed.
forget that willpower shit.
she shamelessly calls out your name, to which you respond like an eager little kid. “say cheese!” she gives you an uncharacteristically wide grin to signal you to mirror her actions. you seemed to not learn from your previous mistake and attempted to smile back at her, before immediately cutting yourself off with a muffled groan. she hardly bothered with hiding her giggle this time, but at the very least she had the decency to cover her mouth as she cracked up.
with an annoyed pout on your face, you huffed and turned to the nurse standing beside you, who you were apparently to loopy to notice had joined in with mai on giggling at your grogginess. “she’s so mean to me!” you said, though your tone had no real irritation to it.
“it’s just to send to utahime. she wants to make sure your doing alright.” mai lied straight through her teeth, though you seem satisfied enough with that answer as you started to push yourself up from the seat you’d been in. mai quickly rushed to your side, knowing you weren’t sensible enough at the moment to ask for her help. before you could stand up and inevitably wobble over, she looped an arm around your waist and moved your arm so it was slung over her shoulders.
“alright champ, let’s get going.” she tried to remain as nonchalant as possible with the close proximity, but unfortunately for her, you seemed determined to embarrass her as much as possible.
“well at least buy me dinner first, ya casanova!” you said (much louder than necessary, mind you). honestly, it wouldn’t be surprising to mai if you could be heard from the waiting room.
with an over enthusiastic wave from you and an awkward thanks from mai to the nurse, you guys set off on your way.
to be fair to you, it was surprisingly a relatively tame trip to the door, with you focusing on keeping your steps in tune with mai’s. you were too lost in thought to embarrass yourself until you had made it to the waiting room. you had rather innocently pointed out a small curse, which would have been completely harmless had it not actually been an old woman, and had you not spoken with an inappropriately loud voice. the poor old lady who had fallen subject to your anesthesia induced self gave you an agitated glare as mai waved sheepishly in apology. the moment you guys were out the door, you turned back to glance through the glass.
“we’ll get her later, mai!” you patted her on the back with determination, your voice still muffled in a way that made you sound like you belonged on sesame street. “she can’t fool me, stupid curse!”
had it been anyone else, mai would have simply rolled her eyes and tugged you on, but since it was you, she found herself laughing along, a quiet laugh, like the sound of a wind chime in early spring weather. the sound seemed to catch you off guard, causing you to stop in your antics before turning to face her. she paused when she felt your gaze back on her, looking at her like a kid would look at fireworks for the first time.
she raised an eyebrow at your sudden change in demeanor. “what?”
“your laugh is pretty.” you stated simply, clearly having some pride at being the one to get her to laugh like that.
she turned away for a moment, hoping it would stop you from seeing the flush spreading across her face, knowing you’d never let her live it down. “thanks.” she muttered, praying she sounded at least a little bit cool and composed.
the short walk to the car was filled with you pointing out random cars asking if they were mai’s as you rested your head on her shoulder, before deciding the swelling was too painful for that.
a large grin which quickly turned into a grimace (you really never learned) appeared on your face when mai finally informed you that you’d made it to the right car. she held your hand to support you as you stepped into the seat, and once she’d sat down, reached over to buckle you in. she chose to ignore the over exaggerated wink you sent her way in favor of her own sanity.
as she drove, you babbled on about nonsense like how you were sure noritoshi had made mechamaru to hide the fact that he was secretly a robot, or how after that run you had gotten at the baseball game, you were sure you were destined to quit sorcery to go to the major leagues. to humor you, mai nodded along, before dryly responding that she’d probably be a better fit considering how good she looked in the baseball uniforms.
ignorant of her joking tone, you were quick to agree enthusiastically. “definitely! but i dunno if i’m the best person to ask, because i think you look good in just about anything.” your voice was sincere as you turned fully to look at her with slightly hazy eyes.
before either of you had time to process the admiration you had shown towards her, you glanced back out the window to the familiar sight of your school. you excitedly waved at the sight of todo and noritoshi sparring together. after catching his attention, todo didn’t even bother to stop the roaring laughter that came from your appearance, pointing out to noritoshi the similarities between your current look and his from just a few weeks ago. noritoshi gave todo an annoyed look, before glancing back over to see mai helping you out of the car, once again slinging your arm over her shoulders and supporting you with an arm on your waist.
she tried her best to ignore todo, she really did. though, it wasn’t exactly easy to ignore him when he loudly exclaimed what a ‘lady killer’ mai was. she snapped her gaze to meet his eyes, giving him a cold glare, before continuing to slink you along to your dorm.
when you opened the door to your dorm, the first thing mai noticed was a bulletin board on your wall, decorated with photos of all your friends, which most recently included your classmates. her eyes flicked to a photo of you next to another girl in elementary school with a smile that showed off your gap from missing teeth, and she chuckled softly at the irony of the photo compared to your current situation. her gaze then quickly shifted to a newly added strip of pictures from a photo booth. she smiled fondly at the memory of you, her, miwa, and momo sandwiching yourselves together in the tiny booth to take photos during your shopping trip. they weren’t ‘good’ photos, per say, in fact you guys all looked rather ridiculous trying to pack into frame, but for some reason, mai seemed to soften up at the memory of it, and how happy you looked just to be next to her.
her train of thought was interrupted by you tugging on the hand that didn’t rest on you, making her turn to see you mere inches from her face.
why the hell were you so close???
“yes?” she questioned, hoping to deflect from the fact that she was so obviously gushing over the photos on your wall just moments before.
“will you sleep with me?”
had you not had an arm around her, she probably would have dropped you in that instant. from the way she carried herself to the way she talked to others, most people would assume mai zenin does NOT blush, yet somehow you’d managed to disprove that theory way too many times today.
“WHAT?” it was her turn to be loud for a moment.
“i’m tireddddd” you whined “and you’re so warm.” you had stated it so casually, as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
she groaned, as if it would cover up her sheer embarrassment at how bold you were. wordlessly, she walked you to your bed, keeping her grip on your waist secure. it was amazing how gentle she was as she laid you down on that rock solid bed all the dorms were stuck with. she pulled a blanket over you, sitting awkwardly on the edge of the bed in hopes you’d doze off peacefully from there. when she didn’t shift from her position, you looked at her with a confused expression.
“wouldn’t it be more comfortable to lay down?” your words were still slightly slurred together. you rested a hand on hers. “you know i don’t mind.” despite your dazed look, she could tell your words were sincere as your thumb rubbed circles atop her hand.
mai turned to face you full on, her eyes gentle rather than their usual harsh look.
curse you for being so hard to resist.
“fine” her voice was quiet “but only because it’s my job to watch over you.” she stretched out her legs so she was laying down on the bed, pulling the blanket towards her so she could get comfortable.
“you’re so good to me mai.” you smiled. not a pained grimace, or an awkward baring of your teeth, but a smile. “people always seem to be so intimidated by you, but i don’t really get it. you’ve always been so nice to me. it’s nice.”
she didn’t understand how even when you were all loopy, you still managed to have such an effect on her. hesitantly, she reached up to grab your hand, intertwining her fingers with yours.
it seemed the boldness from your anesthesia had rubbed off on her.
before she had time to talk, you continued. “i always feel so glad when we get paired up for missions, you make me feel so safe. like, i know when i’m around you that you’ll protect me. i admire you so much for doing all that for me.”
she went slightly stiff at your...confession? declaration? what exactly would you call that? you had said it so nonchalantly, whether it was out of trying to play off your fear of rejection or legitimate confidence, it was hard to tell.
“plus you’re really pretty.” your hand squeezed hers as you looked suddenly very interested in the pattern of your blanket. it was odd, seeing you get so shy all of a sudden, though she supposed it was somewhat of a win for her.
as you stared sheepishly away from her eyes that traced over every inch of your face, you felt her hand come up to your cheek, tilting you to face her. she continued scanning your face with an impossibly soft expression, before meeting your eyes once again.
“you know i wouldn’t do all that if it was anyone else.” her voice was barely above a whisper as her eyes bore into yours. her face was so close to yours that you could feel her breath fanning lightly across your face. “it’s all for you.” you’d never seen her so earnest before.
you smiled softly at her, even despite the ridiculous bandages around your head, and your chipmunk like cheeks, she still stared at you with so much love.
“you like meeee.” your tone was teasing, but it was obvious to anyone with a pair of eyes that you were just as whipped as her.
“dammit. you figured me out.” she said sarcastically, shuffling forward slightly so you were flush against her.
up close, the tiredness in your glassy eyes was obvious. she sighed to herself, and slowly leaned in to plant a soft kiss on your forehead.
“get some sleep.” she smiled at your eyes struggling to fight open your heavy eyelids. “we have a lot to talk about once the anesthesia wears off.”
maybe todo wasn’t so far off with that ‘lady killer’ comment.

we're back! congratulations! you have been officially selected to stab or slap any five / three jjk characters that you wish as well as hug (wrap them up in a lil blanket, give them some hot chocolate, gently kiss their forehead...) any five / three jjk characters that you wish! who do you stab / slap, who do you hug, and why, if there’s a reason<3
wow what a surprising question omg had No idea this was coming tehe
would STAB / SLAP
gakuganji - man is getting STABBED. he tried to make children kill yuuji, he's so mean to gojo for NO REASON, he knows about mai's family situation but unlike gojo and yaga, he still prolly treats her like crap and does nothing to help, hE KILLED YAGA AND FOR WHAT??? where was he during shibuya??? i hate him. i hate him SO MUCH. he is number one on my stab list idc. what has he ever done for his students? when has he ever protected them? you can say he did during the exchange event but he Literally barely did anything.
naoya - can he just die already? he's getting stabbed. mutuals and i are gonna go all murder on the orient express on him. just. 🔪🔪🔪
mahito - obviously he needs to be stabbed for his crimes aka hURTING NANAMI AND NOBARA. if nobara dies i will Literally throw hands i will reach inside kenny's throat, grab mahito, and 🔪🔪🔪
actually all the higher ups - stab them. slap them. destroy them. imma burn their house down. i am destruction. i am decay. i am desire. the sun is high and the birds are singing that you're gonna die. everything bad that has happened in the world of jujutsu is entirely your fault and i hope you pay.
ogi zen'in - he literally murdered mai and then tried to kill maki. he abused them very much so and he's an ugly little rat imma stab him. again, i am destruction decay desire you're getting stabbed sir. many times. with a sword.
would HUG
shoko - look. geto? dead. nanami? dead. gojo? The Box™️. yaga (who i hc as her best friend tbh)? dead. kugisaki? unconscious in her infirmary. the children? in a killing games. utahime? who knows gege bring her back too please. haibara? dead for a while. SHE IS LITERALLY ALONE WITH NOBARA'S BODY LIKE. SOMEONE PLEASE HUG HER SHE IS DEALING WITH SO MUCH GRIEF AND NEEDS SOME LOVE PLEASE 😭
yuuta - after his whole culling games arc, i want to swaddle him in blankets and give him some hot chocolate and destroy anyone who tries to prevent him for sleeping. please... he needs a break... everyone leave him alone unless you're going to hug him 😭
yaga - idk i'm feeling compelled to put him down. when was the last time anybody hugged him? mans does so much and gets SO little credit like come on fandom stop sleeping on yaga like please don't thirst after him, but like. give him some credit he cares about his students SO MUCH and he protected shoko during shibuya and he prolly took gojo in tbh and he still cares about geto even after everything... he deserves a nice big hug, perhaps a free evening to go watch a movie, maybe drink some wine... maybe he and shoko could go do one of the wine and painting classes together...
momo - just. just thinking about how see prolly had to carry mai's body back to the kyoto school... just... thinking momo thoughts... (yes i have a fic about them started i have feelings i love the kyoto kids sm)... just thinking about how she probably feels like mai's death is her fault. she should've stopped her. she should've protected her. she should've she should've she should've... she and maki deserve a good cry together. i think the two of them need to sit down on the couch, all wrapped up in blankets, and just. cry. they should mourn together.
megumi - i can't hep it. look at him. mans need a hug. he needs to take a second and cry, maybe even get kissed on the forehead. like. how can you look at him and Not think "wow someone hug him". he just had an entire elephant on his back bestie... you need a massage and some icy hot, maybe some kt tape come on hun let's go take care of you
#corey rambles:)#choosing who i wanted to hug was SO HARD BECAUSE I WANT TO HUG THEM ALL#i tried straying from like the Obvious ones ya know to spice it up a little uiyfxdfcghuijuygfc#like i wanted to put yuuji and nobara on their so badly but. can't hUG NOBARA IF SHE'S DEAD HAHAHHAHAH I AM SO FINE PLEASE BRING HER BACK#also like maki and toge too... i'm sorry i would love to hug panda but i just. i don't think i can i'm sorry sir iuygtfcxghuijo#also todo. i was SO CLOSE to putting todo. dude just lost his hand. he sacrificed it for battle 😭#almost stabbed toji but writing the part about momo made me choose ogi over him lol#jjk spoilers

Pairing: Gojo Satoru X fem!reader
Genre: fluff
Warnings: none
Today there would be a celebration for Satoru and you were invited by Yuji.
You knew Gojou since your school days since he was your senior being with 1 year bigger. You and Nanami were in the same year and you were the daughter of the Kamo family. You had a powerful Jujutsu technique called solar light. You could basically manipulate the light and you needed the sun, without it you were weaker. Your other ability that you got from your family was blood manipulation, if you just touched some blood from other ppl you could make their blood vessels explode.
Your family intended on preparing an arranged marriage with the Gojou clan between you and Satoru for the powerful heirs. But you both tried to get used to the idea first so you didn't do anything yet, you considered him a dear friend.
As you attached a balloon to the chandelier from the main room in the Jujutsu high school Yuji, Nobara, Megumi and Nanami joined you.
"Hello Y/N-San!" said Yuji and smiled at you.
"Hello Yuji and the others! What are you doing here I thought you went to get the cake?" you said and Megumi looked on his phone.
"We actually did but Panda already got it." he said and you nodded.
"Utahime-senpai should be distracting Gojo from coming here yet." said Nanami and you looked at him.
"Are you sure they won't start a whole fight on the street? Shouldn't you went with him Nanami-kun?" you said and he sighted.
"Believe me if I went with him we would have been the ones who end up fighting." he said and you laughed. As the others helped decorate the room your phone vibrated and you saw Utahime text u that she can't hold Gojo for much longer. You all started to add the finishing touches and after you all hide. To this party Yuji invited Principal Yaga, Maki, Panda, Shoko, Ijichi, Megumi, Nobara, Inumaki, Miwa, Mai, Todo, Momo and Noritoshi, your nephew.
You all hide in different corners of the room and waited for Gojou to come.
"I can't believe we're making a surprise party for Gojou Satoru, the real Gojou Satoru!!" said Miwa and Mai rolled her eyes.
"shhh everyone I hear something" Yuji said and after some time the door opened with loud voices.
"I TOLD YOU TO STOP DISRESPECTING ME AFTER ALL I'M YOUR SENPAI!" Utahime said and Gojou laughed.
"Hm? Said something? Sorry the voice isn't that clear up her- wah now that's what I call a hysterical women." he said as she trew a shoe at him but his infinity protected him.
"Anyways, why is it so dark here? Shouldn't the kids be here?" he said and looked around. We all looked at each other and nodded. We all jumped out and yelled happy birthday.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY GOJOU-SENSEI!" said Yuji jumping to him. He looked surprised at everyone and after started laughing.
"So that's why I could have the pleasure to have a walk with miss trow shoes at people mhm I get it well, THANKS EVERYONEEEE!" he said excited while Utahime gave him a death stare.
"Happy birthday Gojou." said Nanami approaching him with me.
"Awww Nanami thanks so much now it really gonna be happy with u here~" Gojo said in a teasing tone and Nanami rolled his eyes.
"Now now try not to make Nanami-kun blush will you." you said with a chuckle as Nanami gave u a not u too stare.
"If it's not my favorite special grade sorceress." Satoru said while Nanami left.
"Happy birthday Gojou-senpai!" you said and he embraced you in a warm hug. You were surprised he left his infinity off just for you but this made you a little flustered. It's not a secret that you liked him, way more than u wanted but he never gave any signs of something serious so you just left it.
"Thank you Y/N-Chan! And you can call me Satoru don't you think it's time for us to get more used with each other if we might end up together?" he said squishing your cheek.
"Oh uh yes that's right Gojo- I mean Satoru. I'm, sorry for what my family wants, I know that your powerful and you deserve someone you really love, not being stuck with someone as shy as me." you said and he scoffed.
"Do you really think that if I didn't like the idea of the marriage I would did nothing and accept it?" he said with a smirk and you blushed hard when u realised what he said.
"Oh uh well yeah I guess I, uh I, yeah I think Megumi calls me cya later!!" you said and went to the balcony to breath some fresh air. He didn't just say that did he? If in all this time he liked the idea of you both in a marriage it means he clearly enjoyed the idea of you both as a couple... Oh God at what you even thought right now. As you stood there and looked at the stary sky with the full moon you heard the door open and soon the white-haired man was next to you with his blue shirt and sun glasses.
"Hmm you know, Megumi-Chan is not here what if you try searching in the other room?" he said and put his arms on the balcony fence.
"Oh I, I actually felt like I need air you know..." you said and he laughed.
"No need to get so flustered around me Y/N you know what a jerk I am and how I enjoy teasing people I care for." he said and you looked at him.
"I honestly can't help it, it's just that, I feel so shy in big gatherings, my family complains a lot about that but I'm just like that." you said with a smile.
"Hm I mean, everyone is unique in their own way so they should accept you like this, I wouldn't change a thing at you, even if your shy and quiet, you have a gold heart and your the kindest girl I ever met, and that's more valuable for me." he said and you looked at him surprised.
"I didn't knew you liked that at me, I thought you enjoyed more the company of someone like Utahime who's always bold." you said and he laughed.
"Don't get me wrong, I love teasing the shit out of her but she's not my type, she's way to hysterical." he said and you laughed.
"You know, I'm sorry for what happened with Suguru, I know how hard is to lose a best friend, I lost one of mine too, and, it was hard. I trusted her more than anything, I gave her my love and honesty, and she just played with my feelings, starting to ignore me as if I was a stranger and breaking my heart with each occasion. Sometimes I even wondered if... Meeting her was a good thing, but, in life we can't have only happy moments, so, I took this as a challenge that I had to go trough, and here I am. "you said and he looked at you. He took the glasses from his eyes and you saw his blue eyes shining in the moonlight.
"You know, Suguru did bad things, but, I don't regret meeting him, he helped me become less arrogant, and if he dares to lay a finger on something I care for deeply he's in big trouble. No one could ever touch you as long as in there because, at this moment your my everything. "he said and got closer to you. You didn't break eye contact with him and only smiled.
"I would say the same thing to you but, your the strongest sorcerer so if you can't protect yourself then I'm not sure I could do it." you said laughing and he just smiled.
"In my eyes you are the strongest sorceress I ever met so don't worry." he said and finally broke the distance between your lips. He grabbed your waist while you put your hands on his chest. He kissed you so gently that you didn't even recognize if this was indeed the Gojou Satoru you knew.
After some time you broke the kiss and he gently caressed your cheek.
"I love you Y/N" he said and you smiled.
"I love you too Satoru." you said and he smiled.
"So, will we agree to that marriage?" he said and you laughed.
"I don't see why not right now." you said and he wrapped his hands around your waist spinning you some times.
"Okay let's go to the party or they will think we got kidnapped." he said and you looked at him skeptical.
"The strongest male and famale sorcerers getting kidnapped? Hard to believe that." you said and he laughed.
"Your the greatest girl I could ever receive." he said and kissed your forehead.
End~

part two | yearning
yearning [noun. a strong feeling of wishing for something, especially something that you cannot have or get easily]
pairing: kamo noritoshi/f!reader
summary: your relationship with noritoshi was like a game of cat and mouse; no matter how hard you tried to escape from him, he would always find his way back to you.
wordcount: 8.2k
content/warnings: friends to enemies to lovers, language, somewhat suggestive, noritoshi is kind of a dick but i promise it gets better so please don’t lose faith in him, we’re somewhat following the timeline of the anime/manga so spoilers ahead!! but what follows afterwards is purely pulled out of my ass lol, lowercase intended [UNEDITED]
a/n: hello, here i am again with a super long chapter ( ˙꒳˙ ) it is so incredibly messy and i’m so sorry if it gets confusing for you; this just really shows how sporadic my writing process is, i have some guidelines that i follow but sometimes venture off my path when i suddenly get a new idea. nevertheless, i hope you can somewhat enjoy this chapter. feedback or just your thoughts are much appreciated! for those that are waiting for the ~steamy~ content, it is coming next chapter hehe. as always, stay safe everyone (´。• ᵕ •。`)
previous - masterlist - next
"noritoshi, could you just stay quiet today? i'm really not in the mood," you sighed as you entered the training grounds. the exhaustion from the mission the day before was clinging onto your bones, heavy and admonishingly. the normally exciting sparring lessons seemed dreadful, knowing that all students were to practice today. to practice the balance within the team, utahime had claimed the week prior as she was reprimanding your lack of discipline when it came to noritoshi. stubbornness ran in the family; you refused to back down when someone was hurting your pride. said stubbornness came back to bite you - instead of taking a break to fully recover, you claimed that you would be fine with the help of your reverse curse techniques.
as the days came and went, the yearly tournament slowly approached. after the devastating defeat last year, everyone was on edge and determined to beat tokyo tech. well, that excluded todo, he was just looking for stronger opponents it seemed. noritoshi, on other hand, appeared to be more agitated than usual - if he wasn't barking orders at the other students, he would criticize their fighting styles. you knew he wanted to win the tournament at all costs, to prove himself worthy of the position as the kamo clan head. but he was too rigid about it, rarely accepting help and haughty when questioned. you've been avoiding him as best as you could and of all days, today had to be one where you could not. opponents would be swapped every ten minutes so everyone could practice with another student - facing noritoshi for ten minutes was easy. so you thought.
"can't promise anything, princess," noritoshi retorted smugly and pat your head like he usually did when he was trying to get a reaction out of you. life always found a way to prove you wrong. for some reason, noritoshi had made it his goal to get under your skin as much as possible on this particular day and it worked. it was childish to engage in this banter but you couldn’t help it. the feeling of not being taken serious by noritoshi had always bothered you. it almost seemed like he wasn’t considering you equal to him, always looking down on you. being stressed wasn’t good, your mother had always reminded you, so it was best to remain calm and collected.
stay calm and collected, calm and collected, you repeated in your head. gritting your teeth, you slapped his hand away and jogged away from him towards todo. at least he'd leave you alone while you were near todo - probably to avoid todo getting mad at him and not wanting to hear about takada-chan again. he was the ultimate and fool-proof shield. the taller male was walking at a leisurely pace in front of you, leading the group as per usual. you caught up to him, slowing down so it didn't look like you just jogged all the way here. away from the menace that was noritoshi. todo glanced at you suspiciously before subtly turning around. a guilty groan left your lips. of course he knew, he always knew. as the unlikely friendship was blossoming between the two of you, you rapidly realized that todo was far more perceptive than he would ever let on. even though he took lighthearted jabs at you, he didn't care enough to intervene; it was a mutual understanding. in a way, you appreciated that he treated you like everyone else, not once had he tried to approach you about your deteriorating relationship with noritoshi.
upon seeing the unlikely pair, miwa speed up as well to join them. even though todo scared her to no end, your presence eased her nerves a little. after all, you weren’t scared to put him back in his place when he was being dramatic. she nudged you gently in greeting, nervously clasping her sword in front of her. "do you think we'll win this year's competition? we've been training a lot, so i hope i can show off some of my skills."
"never say never? even if we lose, it's a good experience to learn from," you replied wryly. while the students of the kyoto tech were strong and coordinated well with each other, noritoshi and you could easily destroy the balance. he didn't know when to stop, persistently pushing your boundaries and you fell for his tricks every time. as long as you could work out a strategy that involved working alone or with a partner that was not him, you'd be fine. your safest bet was to work with miwa since you were both sword users and have practiced together extensively. if noritoshi and you exhibited enough chaos to tear the world apart, miwa and you represented the perfect balance when fighting.
"you're our secret weapon though!" miwa exclaimed excitedly, elbowing you gently. "no one knows you can heal, so we'll use that to our advantage."
"uh…"
"what? don't tell me you-"
"i've asked yuta about advice before," you interrupted her, scratching your head sheepishly. "he's one of the very few people who can use reverse cursed techniques, so i asked him to give me some pointers and how to use it more to my advantage."
when yuta participated in the competition the year before, you were absolutely mesmerized by his level of skills and how he had supposedly mastered them in such a short amount of time. of course you hadn't told anyone that you were talking to him - everyone was still salty about the defeat and would, undoubtedly, have crucified you on sight. truthfully, you didn't understand why everyone was so hellbent about hating the students of your sister school. weren't you all colleagues in a sense? yuta was nice and respectful towards you, always trying his best to explain you how to implement his tips. along the way, you might have developed a tiny, fleeting crush on him but never acted on it. it was only a crush after all and you didn’t feel certain about it not being a mere distraction from your feelings for noritoshi. perhaps it was the way he made you feel, the way he treated you like noritoshi used to before. you couldn't even deny it, you missed your old 'toshi. when you looked at him now, it hurt you, seeing all the traces of gentleness having left him.
"really? you never told me! what is he like? he looked like he was really nice but there were moments where i was really scared of him. well maybe not him but rather… that curse."
"uh, yuta is actually not that scary. he's really helpful and always there for you when you need advice. i think i've improved a lot since we've started talking." you made a mental note to thank yuta again if you got to see each other anytime soon. apparently, gojo had sent him on a mission overseas a few months back and ever since, your exchanged messages grew to be rather sporadic. still, you appreciated that he made an effort to text you every now and then to let you know how he was doing and in turn, also asked about your wellbeing.
"fraternizing with the enemy, i see," noritoshi's voice rang out beside you, dangerously close to your ear. it made you jump in surprise, not having sensed him earlier - your hand automatically shot out to hit him, only for him to catch it in time. you shot him an annoyed glare. beside you, miwa and todo glanced at each other, silently agreeing to ignore the squarreling pair.
"i don't see how that's any of your business."
"it is if it jeopardizes our chance at winning," noritoshi narrowed eyes at you in suspicion. of course he didn't trust you, you were nothing but a mild inconvenience to him. you didn't owe him an explanation, not today and not in the future. any friendship or friendliness between you was long gone. refusing to look into his eyes, you attempted to tug your hand away from him but instead accomplished the exact opposite as noritosh tightened his grip. "what did you tell him?"
"he only helped me with training, that's all! it doesn't concern you anyways so-"
noritoshi was irritated, you could tell. the anger was rolling off him in waves, intimidating even you. why was he so annoyed by the fact that you asked yuta for advice? it wasn't even farfetched - the only other alternatives were gojo and ieiri, both of which you hadn't mustered up the courage to ask yet. wasn't it in everyone's best interest for you to become a great healer? noritoshi would know best - he was the driving force behind your ambition, the sole reason why you worked to the brink of exhaustion just to show him that you didn’t need his help, that you were worthy of a higher rank.
"i don't want you to hang out with the tokyo tech kids, especially not with him."
"wait, what?" you gaped at him in disbelief. "is this just because you have personal beef with some of them? leave me out of this, i just want to improve and you don't get to tell me what to do." with that you shoved the taller male, stomping past the other students towards utahime who was looking at you in disapproval. you missed the upset frown on noritoshi's face as he followed you, wanting to reach out but stopping midway. it wasn't the right time or place to let you know why he didn't want you around them, not yet. seeing you hang out and being relaxed with everyone else but him hurt him, oh how it hurt him. he wanted you close to him, only see him, talk about him excitedly and with stars in your eyes like you did when you talked about yuta. and yet, he couldn't let you know. the only way to keep you orbiting around him was to play these silly games, rile you up and drawing a reaction out of you. it was the only way to make you pay attention to him. and so he did.
calm and collected, my ass, you thought two hours later. of course todo and noritoshi had completely eviscerated the rest of the students with no mercy, leaving everyone in a sour mood. whatever strategy your team would have for the tournament was probably thrown out the window, the two of them would take care of it anyways. not that they would stand a chance against yuta.
“yuta isn’t here?” the disappointment in your voice was palpable. you did look forward to meeting yuta again, thinking that he might have come home from his overseas trip for the tournament. but you supposed getting to know the other students wasn’t too bad, you were interested in the first years and their skills. they certainly looked more approachable than your classmates. miwa told you how todo and mai had met two of them a few weeks prior and promptly started a senseless fight that was then stopped by the second years. it landed them in the water as utahime gave them a lecture - while she didn't tolerate the childish behaviour, everyone else seemed to turn a blind eye to it. noritoshi had scoffed in disapproval upon hearing the news, uttering something about not wanting to associate with dimwits like them.
"nope, he's still overseas. it doesn't matter anyways, we'll still beat you without him," maki replied with a confident grin, arms crossed as she took in the kyoto tech group of students. regardless, you broke out in a sprint and jumped, engulfing her in a warm hug. while you two didn't talk as much as yuta and you did, you were still friends. she was a source of inspiration to you, a master of all kinds of weapons whom you deeply admired. maki gave you some awkward pats before pulling away to introduce you to the first years - megumi, yuji and nobara. the younger students were wary of you, most likely because of their encounter with todo and mai. you couldn't hold it against them, their intensity and stubbornness was something you had to deal with daily after all. you silently cursed the two brash students before taking a deep breath and extending your hand to the ones in front of you.
“hi, i’m y/n, nice to meet you,” you introduced yourself with a friendly smile, visibly relieved when they shook your hand and introduced themselves. especially nobara seemed to be eager to get to know you, fussing over your uniform and inquiring about your skills. you were glad they welcomed you, not wanting to cause any more trouble than would undoubtedly arise for the duration of the tournament. while megumi seemed to be cautious and more reserved around you, yuuji and nobara already treated you like their friend. subconsciously, you envied them for the wholesome friendship dynamic as it reminded you of what you used to have with noritoshi. the fleeting thoughts left as soon as they made an appearance in your head, disappearing when nobara grasped your hand and pulled you towards the buildings to show you around. unbothered by the reactions of your fellow kyoto tech classmates, you followed her - their energy was stifling and the tournament didn't start until later in the day anyways. it was useless to stay with your group and practice, you'd only overexert yourself.
“y/n.” noritoshi called after you sternly, glaring at you when you turned to look at him - ever since stepping foot into the estate, he was moody and more serious than usual. it was probably him being tense about the tournament, the spirit to win deeply ingrained in his bones. none of the other students seemed to be bothered by the presence of the tokyo tech students, so why should he? ignoring him, you continued your journey until you felt a force harshly pulling you back by the fabric of your hoodie. intuitively, you could tell it was noritoshi.
"noritoshi, let me go," you snapped at him irritated, struggling to free yourself from his grasp.
"we have things to discuss, did you forget that?"
"i don't want to," like a petulant child, you gave him an angry look as you stood your ground. tension filled the space between you, tethering on the edge of anger. why was a normal conversation never possible with him? and why did he treat you like a child? you let up when megumi appeared to your side, shooting noritoshi a warning glance as he attempted to remove his hand from yours. even though he didn't know what your relationship was like, he stepped in regardless - you were impressed by him. even if noritoshi remained calm, he was a menace to deal with afterwards.
"she said no, didn't you hear-"
"get your hands off of her." noritoshi growled at megumi, the sudden influx of cursed energy that was surrounding him made all students in close proximity freeze. you couldn't hide you shock either, he had never been this threatening towards someone else. he might push boundaries to the extreme, knowing that he could away with it due to his bloodline and family name but he had never outright threatened anyone that didn't do his bidding. with those words he pulled you towards him, wrapping his arm around your waist protectively. paralyzed, you blankly stared at him. his cursed energy was suffocating you, never had you experienced this amount of pressure. not only that, the unusual closeness set your heart ablaze, burning down the walls that you'd carefully constructed around it.
"you're being ridiculous," megumi challenged the older male, unbothered by the strong pressure. he didn't understand why noritoshi was making a big deal out of this. surely he didn't consider megumi a threat? noritoshi's hold on you strengthened and with panic you realized the blood-red markings appearing on his face, he was being serious, oh god he was going to rip megumi apart-
"hey hey, stop it you two," panda's voice snapped you out of your trance and seemingly noritoshi's as well as he wacked his arm. "you just got here and you're already stirring up trouble, are you not ashamed?"
noritoshi simply scoffed and let you go, his cursed energy dissipating with the movement. the rest of the students were as stunned as you were, no one daring to make another move until the tension evaporated. todo was the only one who looked rather annoyed, smacking the back of noritoshi’s head as he started to tell him off - noritoshi, however, kept walking past him towards the dorms that they were staying at for the week. it was almost like there was steam coming off his head as a result of holding his anger in. nobara gaped at you in surprise, pointing at you accusingly. “i didn’t know that was your boyfriend!”
you spluttered in horror, quickly reaching out to her to try and cover her mouth so she wouldn’t say anything incriminating. “n- no you got it wrong! we’re not together, not at all! i hate noritoshi,” you floundered, hastily trying to set the record straight. nobara didn’t look like she believed you, pushing your hands away while giggling. she wiggled her eyebrows at you, whispering at you about how lucky you were to snag such a handsome guy although she thought that he really didn’t have to overreact like that because megumi was harmless. covering your face in embarrassment, you turned away from her and caught a glimpse of an amused todo winking at you.
“i’m serious, nobara!" whatever whining you did, the two of them didn’t let up, making you wonder what you ever did wrong to deserve this scrutiny. as your last resort you grabbed nobara's hand, dragging her along towards a secluded area in the estate. being the subject of the earlier conflict was already troubling enough, you didn't want the other students to get the wrong idea by her wild speculations. nobara was still giggling when you arrived, pinching your arm playfully.
“c’mon, it’s impossible that there is not something between you! did you see the look on his face? i don’t think he would have cared had it been any other person,” she gushed excitedly, her face lighting up in glee. with no doubt, nobara enjoyed poking her nose in other people's business, seemingly having a knack for sniffing out the hidden. a dejected sigh left your lip. a younger you would have jumped in happiness after finally receiving noritoshi's attention but the present you knew better. there wasn't more to it, you told yourself and yet, a tiny sliver of doubt made its way into your mind. could he really have been so bothered by another male being so close to you? todo didn't count, obviously.
"no, there's nothing to it, i promise. we don't have the best relationship anymore and mostly fight. i mean yeah his reaction was really uncharacteristic but…"
"anymore?"
"noritoshi and me grew up together and were childhood friends. i- i didn't agree with his antics as we grew up and we drifted apart after that and now… hate each other? he’s just unbearable and we don’t get along. everyone at kyoto tech knows that so they’re mostly ignoring our fights. and it’s childish, i know, i know..."
“are you sure? like super duper sure? because it didn’t look like it to me,” nobara contemplatively rubbed her chin. the wheels were turning in her head, something didn’t quite add up. even at first glance, whatever you said made her feel doubtful.
“trust me, i wish it was different too. i mean i used to like him a lot and it makes me sad and i wish we could at least be civil around each other. but he just makes me so angry,” your ramblings stopped nobara’s thinking - so that’s what it was. normally, nobara really didn’t care about other people’s business but this was too juicy to pass up. how far could she push it to make you realize?
why was the layout of all these buildings so confusing? and why were there so many buildings to begin with? you’ve been wandering around for at least five minutes now and you still couldn’t figure out where the hell yuji’s and megumi’s rooms were supposed to be. they didn’t even have any signs around. at this point, it didn’t matter if it took longer than anticipated - the others could wait. nobara had insisted on having a small get together the night before, to get to know each other and play some card games. you couldn’t refuse, it’s been a while since you just hung out with friends without any quarreling. there was no harm in getting to know you future colleagues, even though your classmates were treating them like criminals. so instead of going herself and much to your dismay, nobara had sent you to fetch the other two students, claiming that you would be fine if you just stuck to the measly sketch she’d made for you. most of the rooms you’ve already knocked at remained empty so you couldn’t be far from their rooms, you concluded.
stopping in front of the last remaining door of the corridor, you took a deep breath. this had to be one of their rooms. slowly, you raised your hand to knock at the door when it was suddenly yanked open, startling you in the process and making you drop the piece of paper you were holding. what you weren’t expecting was coming face to face with noritoshi who looked at you as equally confused. he was the last person you wanted to see today, not wanting to confront him about his actions earlier. you couldn’t wrap your head around it; why had he overreacted in such a way? it wasn’t like you were in danger or in need of protection. for a brief moment, you thought that there was a sliver of strange possessiveness. you couldn’t quite place the emotions in his eyes, it made you shudder.
“oh uh, sorry. i was looking for yuji and megumi and this is very obviously not one of their rooms. sorry again. i’ll take my leave,” you awkwardly stammered, taking a step back. noritoshi’s figure was towering over you and in a rare moment, you felt intimidated by him. perhaps it was the dark look in his eyes that told you that he was not thrilled by what you just told him. before you could react, he swiftly grabbed your arm and pulled you inside his room, trapping you against the door.
“w- wait!” you protested weakly, pushing at his chest until his face slowly came into your vision. you couldn’t help but stare at his lips, watching them move as he was talking to you. your ears were ringing, you couldn’t tell what he was saying. the close proximity was suffocating and yet you craved more, not wanting to let him go.
“y/n? did you hear me?”
“huh?” snapping out of your trance, you looked at him dumbfounded. noritoshi was frowning at you, slightly concerned about your state as you didn’t answer him. just then you finally got a proper look at him. it was a rare sight; noritoshi wearing casual clothes, a simple oversized shirt and shorts, and his hair down without the bindings. feeling nostalgic, your heart clenched. he looked like his old self, the ‘toshi that you loved dearly.
“i said, i don’t want you around them. i don’t- i don’t like seeing you with them,” noritoshi repeated with a strained voice. he placed his hands beside your head, inching closer to you.
“what- noritoshi, you don’t get to tell me who i can hang out with! last time i checked, we’re not even friends anymore so where do you get the idea that you can do this? what’s the big deal ab-” you didn’t get to finish your sentence when he pressed his lips against yours clumsily. you seized up in shock, not returning the kiss as a whirlwind of thoughts entered your mind. holy shit, he was really kissing you. but you hated each other, so why? why, why, why. when you didn’t respond, noritoshi pulled away in panic, spluttering apologies as he moved away from you. your emotional world was in chaos, all the buried and forgotten feelings for him breaking the dams and flooding your senses until the yearning became too much. you were reminded of the conversation you had with your mother years ago - you still wanted him, missed him. you wanted him by your side. desperately, you reached out, fisting the fabric of his shirt as you leaned up to kiss him. noritoshi caught you in his arms, wrapping them around you as he fervently returned the kiss. he was holding you like he was afraid you would dissipate into thin air, frantically pulling you in. his hands were roaming, discovering the expanse of your body.
his touches left you feeling delirious, high on pleasure. a mewl left your lips, pleading him for something, for more. your hands moved higher, feeling his chest and broad shoulders before you wrapped your arms around his neck. his name left your lips in breathy sighs as he peppered kisses down your jaw, pulling the collar of your shirt to the side to gain more access to the expanse of your neck. suddenly, you were hoisted up and pressed against the door as noritoshi held you by your thighs. you struggled to wrap your legs around his waist, to distracted by his relentless ministrations. by the time he's left multiple hickeys on your neck, you were whimpering mess. noritoshi's breath was taken away at the sight of you in his arms, lips swollen from the kisses, the glossy eyes, dishevelled hair and the hickeys that were slowly becoming more visible. he couldn't understand how carelessly you were letting him proceed when you supposedly harboured a strong dislike for him. nevertheless, he enjoyed it and wanted to savour the moment, ingrain it into his memory so he'd never forget why he was treating you like a nuisance.
a loud knock resounded from the door, followed by someone shouting: "noritoshi? has y/n been here?"
out of sheer shock, you shoved noritoshi away from you and nearly fell as you attempted to detangle yourself from him. he caught you in time, signalling you to stay quiet as the person outside was still shuffling around nervously. you slumped against him limply, letting your head rest against his chest. his heart was beating erratically. it made yours fill with pride as you could tell that you had the same effect on him as he did on you. still, the precarious situation suddenly dawned on you - you'd just made out with your sworn enemy and, yes you used to have a crush on him, enjoyed it very much. and by the looks of it, he would have continued if you hadn't pushed him away. the entire ordeal greatly confused you; was noritoshi just playing around with you? it couldn't be, he had initiated it after all. the cold treatment he usually gave you didn't match with his actions just now. you couldn't get close to him, not when he gave you mixed signals. you wanted someone who cherished you and was always sincere so you wouldn't have to second guess their actions.
"huh, i guess noritoshi's already sleeping. we'll have to check somewhere else, i hope she didn't get lost," the person outside mumbled as you stayed silent. the sound of shuffling was heard, then steps away from the room. you stayed put until you were sure they were gone and gently removed yourself from noritoshi's grip, not looking him in the eyes. he didn’t move, letting you go willingly.
“i’m sorry, i don’t know what came over me,” you apologized with a pained voice. “please forget that it ever happened and uhm, please don’t tell anyone.”
noritoshi’s eyes widened at your pleas, moving to stop you from leaving so he could explain himself to you. “y/n, wait, i can ex-”
hastily, you stumbled to open the door, dashing away from him until the building was out of your sight. you poorly hid behind a tree, sinking to your knees as you buried your face in your hands. what the hell. you just made out with your childhood friend turned enemy. your buried feelings were all over the place and your mind just couldn’t stay still. it messed with your outlook as well as your image of noritoshi, distorting and twisting it until you had to rethink your relationship. maybe all this time, you subconsciously hoped that he would return back to his old self and somehow give you an explanation. never having received closure on the end of your friendship, you would even forgive him for the sake of your relationship. were you this shallow? no, you simply harboured a lot of feelings for him. you weren’t able to tell what his thought process was - was he even interested in you? did he see you like that?
“there you are,” you lifted your head to see gojo walking towards you with his hands stuffed inside the pockets of his pants. you almost didn’t recognize him as he simply wore a pair of sunglasses and let his hair down. “the others are looking for you. what are you doing out here? trouble in paradise?”
“n-no! i just needed some time away from everyone to- to catch my breath,” you exclaimed indignantly and perhaps too hastily you realized when gojo smirked at you knowingly. why did everyone assume that there was anything between noritoshi and you? was it that obvious?
“uh huh. that’s not what your neck says,” gojo pointed out while wiggling his eyebrows and offered you a hand to stand up. “he really doesn’t like any competition.”
“fuck,” you cursed quietly, covering the hickeys with one hand while taking gojo’s with your other and pulling yourself up. it was embarrassing enough to meet one of the teachers like this but it was even more embarrassing to know that your teacher had seen the aftermath of your makeout session.
“i’m not gonna tell anyone, if that’s what you’re concerned about. although it would certainly be funny to tease little noritoshi,” gojo was giggling and you knew he was greatly amused by the entire situation. it almost reminded you of nobara. you groaned in frustration as you trailed behind him towards the girls’ dorms. you needed to hide your neck so no one would question it or grill you until you confessed; the potential embarrassment was mortifying.
your group strategy was already falling apart when todo suddenly disappeared in the depths of the forest, not caring about your teamwork in the slightest. normally, it would frustrate you a lot more if you weren’t already preoccupied with your own troubles. todo would be fine anyways, the remaining group members could work on a strategy on their own. as mechamaru and mai were discussing, you shot a glance at noritoshi. he looked as deadpan as usual, probably not listening to the discussion as he worked better on his own and it was more or less decided that mechamaru and him would be moving on their own while the others would team up. otherwise, you couldn’t tell whether he was bothered by what had transpired between you the night before. on the contrary, he looked calm and composed, probably more focused on his goal than anything else. and for some reason it bothered you.
when you’d returned to nobara’s room last night, gojo had helped you make up an excuse. while dramatically gesturing around, he’d told them that he intercepted her journey towards the boys’ dorms to recruit you for training, claiming that he wanted to teach you more about reverse cursed techniques. although he saved you from scrutiny and embarrassment, you couldn’t help but feel like he might use it as leverage in the future. it was gojo after all, he was unpredictable. absentmindedly, you agreed to whatever plan the others had schemed and grabbed your sword, getting ready to move to your assigned position with miwa. while you had heard of the other students’ skills, you weren’t sure where to place their levels as there was always room for surprises. underestimating opponents was a beginner's mistake. the bell rang out, signaling the start of the tournament; with swift movements, the group members dispersed and slowly moved towards the "enemy".
in the distance, you could already hear loud explosions - it was probably mechamaru happily blasting away his opponents. you gritted your teeth in annoyance, the blasts were too loud for you to make out anyone approaching you. and as you predicted, someone was taking advantage of the noise to stalk up on you. barely being able to block the blow with your sword, you found yourself opposite of maki who was grinning at you. the challenging glint in her eyes told you that she wasn't going to go easy on you but you welcomed it. it was a good opportunity for you to grow and hone your sword wielding skills.
however, it proved to be more difficult to defeat maki than you'd originally anticipated. in mere minutes, maki had already disarmed miwa, leaving her defenseless and you were hanging on a bare thread. your grip on the sword was weakening, laboured breath making your ears ring. it was frustrating, knowing that after all those months of rigorous practice, you still couldn't win a fight. giving up wasn't an option, at the very least you had to give it your all.
"c'mon, you can do better than this!" maki teased you as you ducked away from the swipe of her spear. it missed you by a hair's width and left you scrambling to create more distance between you so you could heal yourself. maki's relentless hits didn't give you any rooms for it - you really had to learn how to constantly apply it to yourself without losing time. from the corner of your eyes, you could see that miwa had picked up the phone. she was probably calling for help, you thought and dished out another hit towards maki which she skillfully dodged. instead, she delivered another blow to your legs, making your knees buckle from the force. you used your sword to support you and took another breath before you tried to lunge at her. in the distance, miwa suddenly collapsed, making you stop mid-move and took another hit from maki that took all the air in your lungs.
"eyes on your opponent, y/n. you know better than to get distracted in a fight, you could've been killed in a real fight," maki reprimanded you as you coughed heavily, gasping for air as you slowly got back up. you were unsteady on your feet, not having enough energy to even heal yourself. conflicted by whether you should face maki again or help miwa, your eyes were flitting between them. maki took advantage of your uncertainty, dealing another blow to you that knocked the sword out of your hand. as your last resort, you kicked at her feet, trying to get her to fall, only to have her pin you to the ground.
"you're going to have to practice a lot more to beat me in the future," she sighed, picking up your sword. panic welled up in your chest - the sword was the only way you could possibly somewhat win this fight but even subconsciously you knew that it was over. reaching out for the sword in desperation, your vision was clouded with tears. it was frustrating, so so frustrating. why couldn't you be as talented as her? or have fast reflexes like noritoshi? why were you ordinary, not being able to make any progress no matter how hard you try?
"i know but i can't give up now!" you defiantly retorted, pushing at her with all might. "i have to win, i just have to show my skills for once and prove myself, i- i-"
even maki softened up at your heart wrenching sobs, easing up on her grip. you both knew it was over. you were probably already eliminated from the tournament, with no other possibility to redeem yourself. she knew that you tried your best and never once underestimated her but something irked her. it was your motivation, your driving force.
"y/n, there's no shame in losing. that's how you grow, make mistakes and learn from them. you tried your best, it's not easy to stand against me for so long."
"i know but there's- i'm still not where i need to be! look at how much progress the others are making in comparison to me! i've been practicing day and night and still, no one is noticing me. i'm just a measly healer and i-"
"y/n." maki cut you off sternly. "is this your motivation? proving yourself to others? you'll not be able to improve if you keep fighting for others. you need to start working on yourself, for yourself. you don't owe anyone anything. but you have to realize that trying to satisfy other people's needs will only make you unhappy and hinder your growth."
"i'm unhappy with my skills! i keep telling myself that it's okay, that i have a rare cursed technique but sometimes i just wish i had a flashy technique or be as strong as you. i don't want to be looked at as if i need protection, i don't want it! i just-" you hiccuped, sniffling again as you wiped your tears with the sleeves of your uniform. "i just want someone to acknowledge me, want him to accept me as an equal…"
"who?" maki's cold look made you freeze in your movements. you didn't mean to let that slip. no one needed to know that the entire time, you were vying for noritoshi's attention. but she was right; there was no point in giving it your all if it wasn't for yourself. it was a silly, childish dream of yours to be equal with him again. he was far out of reach and you couldn't catch up to him.
"n- noritoshi," you admitted in defeat. maki saw right through you, there was no point in lying. she raised her eyebrows at you but didn't question it further. after all, you hadn't told her about the background story. unless nobara had done so, you wouldn't doubt it.
"i'm not gonna ask you why. but this is my advice, do not fight for somebody else. if you relentlessly work on yourself for your own benefit, you'll see progress a lot faster. your technique might not be flashy but it is powerful, remember that. you're a valuable asset to every team," she concluded and pulled you up, awkwardly patting your back as you still sniffled. maki opened her mouth to tell you some comforting words but froze when another extremely loud boom resounded near the entrance of the estate. your eyes widened at the sudden influx of cursed energy - there was no doubt that a high-level curse had just entered the school grounds. you turned to maki to tell her the news but she'd already moved, pointing to miwa.
"take her to a safe place, you can't stay here! in your state, you wouldn't last against such a strong curse," maki yelled at you as she disappeared in the woods. you scrambled frantically, not wanting to be left behind. while you were useless for the tournament, you could at least still be of assistance against a curse. miwa was still laying on the ground, unmoving. you shook her gently, scared that she was seriously hurt. it seemed like she was just sleeping instead; you were relieved. throwing her across your shoulder, you winced in pain but persisted nonetheless. you had to get her away from here, who knows what curses were roaming around. your senses were flooded with the stench of blood and debris, the pressure of cursed energy, the loud rumbles. you couldn't tell where the others were but you hoped they were safe.
a loud thud startled you and you stopped, ready to draw your sword until realization hit you that it was utahime that was inspecting you. determined, you thrusted miwa's limp body towards utahime.
"miwa will be okay, she's just sleeping! i'm okay too, don't worry, please just take care of her and i'll check on the others!"
"y/n, don't be stupid! you're injured and in no state to help others." utahime attempted to convince you; you shook her off stubbornly, insisting that you were fine.
"what if the others get hurt? i have to help them or at least warn them!" your resolve was firm and unwavering that even utahime couldn't convince you otherwise. slipping out of her grasp, you sprinted towards the source of the cursed energy. from far away you could already see the damage that the curse had caused. multiple buildings were torn apart, trees dislodged and- were those branches rapidly growing out of the ground? you watched in horror as the branches whipped around, following running figures on the rooftop of one of the buildings. upping your speed, you jumped towards the group to aid them. as you neared them, you could make out inumaki, noritoshi, and megumi fighting against the curse, maki trailing close behind.
they barely stood a chance against the curse, every hit that they dealt, the curse would come out unscathed. "what's the deal with that curse?" you asked, panting as you joined them, coming to a halt behind inumaki. megumi was yelling something but you couldn't hear him as noritoshi turned to you and shoved you out of the way.
"y/n, what are you doing here?"
"helping you guys? what the fuck does it look like?" you yelled back exasperated. why was he mad at you in such a situation? they needed any helping hand they could get to defeat the curse. while you weren't useful in fights, you could at least provide continuous healing. noritoshi didn't have any time to reply as the curse lashed out again, dodging it by jumping to the side. you stayed close to inumaki, swiftly healing him when he collapsed from the rebound of his cursed speech. you clenched your jaw, not wanting the others to see that you were slowly running out of energy and strength. next thing you know, a body was hurled through the air, landing near you with a thud. your heart filled with dread when your eyes fell onto the figure, recognizing noritoshi.
"y/n, heal them as best as you can and get out of here! take them to the teachers!" maki yelled out and this time you obeyed, too panicked about noritoshi's state. you were thankful that inumaki had enough energy to run after you'd healed him - hauling noritoshi's tall frame around was already difficult enough but even more so when you were exhausted. as you neared the gates, utahime was already running towards you with a concerned look on her face. you were glad that she was nearby, it meant that gojo and the other teachers were close and could defend you.
"what happened?" utahime worried but you couldn't reply. falling to your knees, you gently laid noritoshi on the ground. the injuries looked bad, there was blood everywhere. you had to stop the wound on his head from bleeding but your trembling hands were preventing you from doing so.
"i- i don't know, i just- i think the curse hit him and now he's unconscious and he's losing so much blood and-"
utahime pinched you firmly, snapping you out of your panic. she was already holding a cloth to noritoshi's temple to stop the bleeding. patting your hand, she told you in a gentle voice: "heal him if you still have enough strength but don't overexert yourself. ieiri will be here soon."
nodding frantically, you placed your trembling hands on his abdomen and let your cursed energy flow. the strength was slowly leaving your body but you had to save him. you had to make sure he was okay, he couldn't die, not like this. regret was bubbling up inside you; what if this was the last time you would ever get to see him?just as you felt his energy responding to yours and saw his hand moving slightly, you couldn't hold yourself upright anymore. the last thing you saw was utahime reaching out to catch you as you collapsed.
you woke up with a startle, gasping for air as you sat up abruptly. sunlight was flooding the room and it felt uncomfortably hot on your skin. you pushed the blanket back but stopped halfway in your movement. your entire body hurt, muscles burning and screaming for more rest. and yet you couldn’t stay still as you remembered the previous events. how long were you out for? was everyone okay? gritting your teeth, you slowly moved out of the room. again, you were faced with the endless maze that was the tokyo tech buildings and stopped in your tracks, not sure which direction to go. you let out a sigh of relief when you spotted yuji in the distance, waving at him to get his attention.
“y/n!” yuji ran towards you, frantically gesturing towards your room. “you’re supposed to be resting! what are you doing here?”
“is everyone okay?” you croaked, now realizing how dry your throat was.
“yeah, ieiri did a good job of healing everyone! some of us are still resting though and so should you.”
“no, i… is noritoshi okay?”
“noritoshi? oh, you mean the guy with the long hair?” yuji nodded, curiously eyeing you as your shoulders dropped, the stress rolling of them. “yeah, he’s still recovering though. ieiri said that his injuries were probably the worst so he’s not allowed to leave the bed.”
“can you take me to him?” you asked with a small voice, doing your best to muster up a puppy face. yuji sighed, scratching his head sheepishly. you could see the conflict in his eyes, that he was thinking about rejecting your request. in the end, he shook his head in defeat and motioned for you to follow him. a small grin found its way onto your lips - yuji was just too nice, he couldn’t say no when people ask him for favours. the walk to noritoshi’s room was silent, neither of you knowing what to say. you knew it was selfish of you not to ask him about his wellbeing more or visit the others but you just had to see for yourself that noritoshi was okay. yuji stopped in front of a door, pointing at it.
“this is his room. he might be sleeping though… my room is down the hall so if you need me to accompany you back to your room, just call me.”
you thanked him quietly and watched as he retreated. taking a deep breath, you knocked at the door and waited for a reply. a few moments passed before noritoshi’s voice rang out, giving you the okay to enter. gingerly, you opened the door and entered the room. noritoshi was sitting on his bed, reading a book as if nothing had happened. you looked at him bewildered. he didn’t look like his injuries fazed him at all. despite the bandages around his head and arms, he remained calm as if nothing hurt.
“noritoshi,” you breathed out, taking a seat on the chair near the bed. he didn’t spare you a look, keeping his eyes on the book. “i uhm. i’m glad you’re okay! when i saw you in that state, i was so so scared that i could lose you… i did my best to heal you, i know i didn’t do much but-”
“i didn’t need your help,” noritoshi snapped at you, placing the book on his lap. “i would’ve been fine without it.”
you were stunned. why was he so agitated? after you initial shock, you huffed in frustration. “what the hell, you could’ve died! i was trying so hard to keep you alive and you react like this? i know you don’t like me but even this is a low blow for you!”
“it wouldn’t have been a problem if you hadn’t inserted yourself into everything! you’re not helping anyone, just dragging us down; everything could’ve gone well if it wasn’t for you standing in the way,” noritoshi countered as frustrated, this time actually looking at you. you stared back at him in disbelief. you saved his life and he had the nerve to shot you down like this.
“does it really hurt your ego to admit that i was actually helpful? we were friends at some point so why do you insist on being such a dick? and here i was, finally thinking that we were getting somewhere- for fuck’s sake, we kissed and-”
“leave.”
you stopped rambling. the tired tone in his voice, the deadpan look on his face; he was serious. you couldn’t believe him. tears welled up in your eyes as you leaped from the chair and hastily exited the room, slamming the door in anger.
you never wanted to see him again.
p.s: yes nobara gave you a wrong sketch of the buildings what about it hehe

10 times, 1 occasion - Inumaki Toge
7. Festivities
Previous Chapter | Next Chapter
A/N: hi hi! soo a few things: I would like to warn that this chapter shows a more feminine side of the reader so if anyone is uncomfy,, you've been warned. this chapter is just friendship and ships (there's nobara x maki and yuuji x megumi if you squint a bit) and it's 3.0k words (new record!!!!!) so buckle up and enjoy! also, next chapter is my favorite so far so go read it as soon as you're done with this.
Toge persisted you to rest for the past three days, as you were indicated. He sat by your bedside so you wouldn’t go anywhere, always keeping your injured ankle raised and your head comfortable, helping you to change bandages from time to time. Even then, you persisted to go as normal and continue with your duties.
“So hot…” Maki complained from your green couch, her glasses set aside as she covered her eyes from the sun with her forearm.
“I think you should stop hugging Kugisaki, then” Megumi suggested, the redhead laying on top of her, but he just received a death glare.
“Shake” Toge agreed with Maki, laying on top of Panda, who was snoring loudly. You, on the other hand, were on top of Yuuji’s shoulders, working on your damaged air conditioner.
“Gimme the flat screwdriver, ‘Gumi” You extended your hand, the other one holding one of the filters of the AC.
Your air conditioning system broke down once a year, and you knew it was because of the dirty filters. For some reason, everyone decided to hang out in your room, so extra help was usually given out to you. Maki and Nobara cleaned the filters, Panda and Toge first assisted you and then the help shifted to Megumi and Itadori. The last one was more than glad to have a pair of thighs wrapped around his neck, and his smile displayed so as Inumaki and Megumi both stared him down to oblivion. With the screwdriver now in your hand, you pressed each filter well to its original place. You closed the lid and Yuuji plopped you down on your bed, making you laugh.
You reached in to click on the air conditioner, it turned on normally and after a few minutes, it wasn’t leaking water anymore. “It’s fixed” You heard a collective sigh you let out yourself, feeling the cold air fill the room.
Itadori laid down on the floor by your mini-fridge and Megumi sat at the edge of your bed, next to your feet. You were all so overwhelmed by the heat, no one really wanted to speak, just take in the fake rise in temperature to calm down their sweating and corporal heat.
Just as you were falling into pure, calm bliss, you heard bass thumping from down the hall. You opened your eyes and raised your head towards the door, at the same time everyone else did, confused. Queue in Gojo with a boombox from the 90s, playing ‘Congratulations’ by Post Malone. There was now a collective groan in annoyance as he walked in and faced the bunch of sweaty teens.
“Good afternoon my amazing students!” There was another collective groan in response. No one didn’t even bother raising their heads once more to look at him, and Megumi just turned his face away slightly. Everyone was grumpy or simply not in the mood “I am here to give out great news! Everyone who has tried for first-grade sorcerer has been officially promoted! Congratulations!”
Suddenly, the aura of the room shifted. Everyone was upright, in a mix of shock and happiness. Nobara started screaming out in happiness with Maki, while you, Megumi, Gojo, and Itadori started jumping on your bed in a circle, holding hands. Inumaki was hugging Panda.
“Let’s throw a party! A fancy one!” Itadori suggested, and everyone cheered. Gojo seemed very fond of the idea, as he laughed.
“Dress code is suit and tie, I’ll see you all in the common dining room at 8! Now if you excuse me, I have a party to plan!” Gojo jumped out of the bed, picked up his speaker, and sprinted out of the room. You came down from your bed and threw yourself into Toge’s arms, who pulled you closer in by your waist. You laughed and nuzzled into his neck happily; he was smiling proudly.
“Oh my god! We need to go shopping!” Nobara realized, grabbing Maki’s wrist and snatching you away from Inumaki to head out the door.
“Wait, I need my wallet!” You screamed, but Toge ran after you to give you the tote bag you carried for trips outside the school. You blew him a kiss as he waved you goodbye.
“I’m dressed so inappropriately to go out” Maki groaned as Nobara rushed you on.
“Don’t worry, I’ll hold your hand so no one flirts with you” Nobara beamed at her and then wink, making Maki fluster. You laughed and elbowed her in the ribs, wiggling your eyebrows.
“I can’t believe I'm going to have to third wheel today!” You laughed, watching as both women turned crimson.
Nobara insisted on shopping in the Harajuku district and looking at her eyes gleaming while passing different stores was like watching a kid in a candy store. Surprisingly, she was the pickiest one out of the three. Maki found her outfit first, a black blazer and pants combo with a black mesh button-up that had Nobara drooling. You found a black silk slip dress that reached down your calf, a slit on one of the legs with a loose neckline that reached down your collarbones. Nobara found a black dress that reached a bit down to her knees, it was strapless with a see-through long sleeve with roses. She laughed at the irony of it, considering the poison she was infected with last week manifested in roses on her skin. After that, you went to grab a bite, the three of you talking about everything, anything and nothing at the same time. You noticed the flirtatious remarks between your companions, happy that both had decided to move their attraction to flirting, rather than just staring at each other all the time. You returned to Jujutsu High around 3 PM, more exhausted than ever, you threw your bag to a corner, kicked off your sneakers, and threw yourself on the bed face down, falling asleep in that same starfish position.
“Aw, she’s asleep” You heard a voice comment. You thought it was only a dream and continued on napping. “Let’s just let her rest”
“Are you crazy? They promised to do our makeup! That’s three people already!” Another hushed voice chimed in.
“Tuna mayo” A third voice hummed. You were already back fast asleep as someone tried to shake you awake gently, only to fail miserably.
Toge sighed and squatted down, his face to level yours. Even with your mouth ajar, your duvet darkening from your saliva, and your slightly loud breathing, he loved how you looked so serene that what he was about to do next he found very cruel.
Delicately, he moved your hair away from your ear, swooping it to the other side of your face. Right there, he was taken away by your sleeping beauty; purples, oranges, and blues chiming into light your face as the sun went down. He sighed, half-smiling “Wake up”
He watched as your eyes popped open and you sat up, rigid. “What day is it?” You wondered, scratching your head and yawning, disoriented after the sudden surge of energy running through your body. Toge sat down by your side and placed his hand on your bare waist. You noticed lately he was even more touchy than usual.
“What day is it?” Nobara mocked you, a vein in her forehead palpitating. “You need to do our makeup! Hurry! You haven’t even showered!” She snatched you away from Toge and pushed you inside your bathroom. You heard a light ‘Tsk!’ outside from Inumaki, who has proven time to time really appreciate you being snatched away from him. “And you! Get out!” Kugisaki ushered him out of the room, slamming the door in his face.
“A little harsh, huh?” Maki said, turning to Nobara, who just rolled her eyes.
“I don’t care” She shrugged before taking out her hair straightener and a heat protector. You chuckled from inside the bathroom before taking your phone out of your pocket and connecting it to the Bluetooth speaker on the wall next to the bathroom mirror. You shuffled the playlist Toge made you a while ago and turned on the faucet.
“I hope you’re not going on a world tour right now! We don’t have time to listen to you all the way to your fiftieth stop in London!” You heard Nobara knock and shout at you from the other side of the door.
You rolled your eyes “Maki, keep your girl in check!” You shouted back before stripping and stepping into the shower. You were in the middle of your third song, washing the suds away from your body and giving your rendition of “Cognac Queen” by Megan Thee Stallion when Nobara opened the door and dragged you out of the shower. It became a struggle, and you were only able to grab the pink fluffy robe that hung on your door.
You fixed Maki’s hair by pulling it half up with a small claw clip, leaving her bangs out. Then you applied the lightest layer of makeup, with the dark eyeliner she requested. Nobara, on the other hand, asked for a full face with a red lip. On the other hand, you went for a light look, with a striking eye and a glossy lip. Then, the three of you rushed to get changed as you realized it was almost ten minutes before 8. As you exited the dorm, you wrapped a white ballerina-style cardigan, taking one last look at yourself at the entrance mirror before Nobara dragged you out of there. The three of you walked to the common room carefully, the door opened slightly.
You heard a couple whistles as you entered the room, you humored the boys, Nobara looked slightly mad while Maki ignored them. You realized that for the occasion Toge wasn’t wearing anything that covered his mouth, and made it evident it was a bit ajar watching you arrive. You said hello to the staff, greeting Nanami happily, who seemed pleased with your recovery and being slightly confused at why Utahime was there. You then headed over to greet your classmates, ending up with Toge.
“You look very handsome” You chuckled, and reached in to fix the strands of hair that fell on his forehead. He was wearing a sage green shirt, black trousers, and thin black suspenders. He shrugged a little and blushed as you touched him, leaning slightly into your touch.
“Shake” He nodded, and held your hand briefly, accepting the compliment. You blushed and looked down before taking your hand away from his face, afraid you were overstepping.
The party was light, everyone chatted and conversed lightly. Itadori seemed very busy on his phone, while Megumi spent all his energy trying to grab his attention. Yuuji called out for you, making you pull away from your conversation with Toge and Panda, who looked dashing in a yellow bow tie. He also called out for Panda. “I need your help,” He said nervously “I saw a speaker with lights in your room, can you go bring it here? Also, please wait at the entrance for someone. Panda, I need you as a distraction”
You excused yourself and left swiftly, fitting your cardigan once more. You walked the way up to your room, taking the squared-shaped, medium-sized speaker with half spheres on top, grabbing the aux cord just in case. Holding the speaker by its handle, you followed the trail to the entrance quietly.
“What is this?” You frowned upon seeing the students of the Kyoto sister school facing you. You raised your brows and Mai and Momo narrowed their eyes back to you, but the rest didn’t. Your eyes fell into the liquor store bags Todo held in his hands, then it all made sense. A smirk crept onto your face as Todo watched your change of expression and laughed. A party with the Kyoto students didn’t seem half as bad, and hey, maybe the stone-cold Soju can solve things out between everyone there.
Soon, you heard a couple of explosions and fireworks and some commotion coming from the common room. “Let’s go” You picked up the skirt of your dress a little to run a little easier, the rest following after you. You noticed everyone outside watching an impromptu firework show as you sneaked in the Kyoto students to the now dark room. Slowly, the rest of the Tokyo students sneaked back to the common room, Itadori locking the door in.
“Okay Panda, that was fun, but can we— huh?!” Gojo realized the locked doors and drawn windows. He tried to force the door open but it was closed shut.
“Oh finally. Can we go to a bar now?” Shoko sighed “Let them be Satoru, they’re in the blink of death every day, let them party”
“Can we all pretend they didn’t do that and we were here all the time chaperoning?” Gojo gave in easily, changing his usual blindfold to black, round sunglasses. Everyone made a noise in agreement and the staff left, feeling the bass pumping under their feet, the surges of different colored lights leaking out of the shut windows.
At first, the party was tense. Everyone was just staring at the other from across the room. You were busy in the background trying to plug in your phone and sync it to the speaker’s Bluetooth. Then, Todo gave a lengthy speech about sorority and brotherhood, and how you should all solve your differences so you could… get drunk and nasty together. In fact, it didn’t take long for the party to lighten up and turn into a club scene. By the third round of shots, mostly everyone was hot and bothered, all the tables moved aside to create a makeshift dance floor. Surprisingly, Panda was an incredible bartender, and he was out to kill; his drinks were packed with alcohol, but fruity and candied flavors hid it all and made it even more addicting. By your third drink, you ripped open the seam of the dress, creating another slit for you to move better.
You, Nobara, and the Zen’in twins were incredible dancers, but you didn’t really expect it from Itadori. He had all the spice down in his hips and the way he could shake his ass like his name was Cardi B. He joined in after his third shot with the song ‘Up’
“Broke boys don’t deserve no pussy!” Todo shouted to the song for the rest to respond.
“I know that’s right!” Everyone answered, except for Toge, before you continued dancing. Now more than ever you felt the euphoria of having money. First-grade sorcerers gave you a considerable amount of money, even if you were just a student.
“Yuuji!” Your mouth dropped to the floor, looking at him, before cheering him on along with the others. By the makeshift bar, a flustered Megumi joined by a sober Inumaki watched him dance, not knowing what he should do in that situation.
Then, as if you were reading his mind, you showed him what he should be doing; standing behind him and grabbing his hips. Soon as Nobara did the same with you, followed by Maki, followed by Mai, followed by Todo, making a train. On the other corner, there was some smoke coming up. You never thought you could have this much fun with people.
Another song started playing “It’s my homegirl, we got the same tattoos!” Itadori pulled you close to him while Todo recorded, and you laughed.
“Don’t accuse me of shit if you ain’t got proof!” You sang along, pointing to the camera, following along.
“What if we got matching tattoos?” Itadori turned to you, and you both frowned to think it hard.
“I think that’s enough” Megumi pulled your drink away from your hand.
“‘Gumi, relax. Go take a shot or a hit from Kamo in the corner, it’s a party! C’mon!” You pulled him to the dance floor, both him and Yuuji as you both threw it back on him to the song. This time, Megumi caught clues from earlier and shyly placed his hands on Itadori’s hips. You stopped and nodded, patting him on the back and walking away, a bit clumsily.
“Do we have any more water left?” You asked Panda, feeling your throat and eyes dry from the intoxicating substances. Panda nodded happily and gave you some water. You had reached your limit and decided it was time to sweat off the drinks and hydrate yourself.
“Oh my bad, that’s vodka,” He said as your mouth went into a thin line as you recognized the strong taste and scent. Inumaki snickered “Here”
“Tell me it’s not vinegar this time” You joked, taking a loud sniff of the liquid, and it was in fact, water. You took a large gulp, as you heard thunder followed by the soft pitter-patter of the rain. “Oh, it’s raining” You turned to Inumaki, who looked stunned at your drunken beauty. Your eyeliner was smudged, and so was your lipstick. There was some hair sticking to the nape of your neck due to the sweat. He could swear he saw some drops running down the small of your back. He gulped and looked away.
“You’ve been here all night, love; c’mon, let’s dance” You set your cup down and took Toge’s hand, pulling him out of his seat. The only reason this party was going along all well was that alcohol made you more straightforward, which made you all sultry towards your evident crush.
You noticed he was paler than usual “What’s wrong? Do I make you nervous?” You whispered in his ear, your hand slowly climbing from his hand all the way up to his neck, where you caressed the area. You never could have known alcohol made you that bold, and such a, well, maneater. At his lack of an answer, you just chuckled and took his hand, guiding him elsewhere.
Everyone at the dance floor greeted him more than enthusiastically, and suddenly, every insecurity Toge was holding deep inside of him throughout the whole party had disappeared. He blinked several times as you smiled at him as radiant as ever. “Let’s dance!” He nodded and smiled back. I love you.

(the answer is yes.) also uh.. i didnt proof read this ████████████████ 100% Complete. Enjoy your game.
“Itadori!” you yell, panting, cupping your hands together around your mouth to amplify your voice. He had asked you prior to meet with you for Valentines in this particular park, most likely because it was Valentines day. You had to admit, his selection in nice places was clearly defined. The views from the hill you and him sat upon was spectacular, you could see the city in it’s whole. This was amplified with the setting of the sun, a hazy beautiful orangey-yellow gradient was all the eye could see from up here. It was definitely worth the walk up the steep hill, and you took a much needed seat and breather on the painted wooden bench, pulling out your water bottle you take a long swig, wiping the sweat off your brow as you did so. You took a quick sneak peek at Yuuji, who was humming a tune, earbuds in. Shielding your eyes with your hand, you leaned closer into his shoulder. His thumbs were fumbling with something, which you now realized was a Nintendo Switch. “Watcha playing?” you ask, breathing in his scent. Remnants of candy and baked goods filled your nose. Yuuji didn’t say anything back, instead continuing to hum and mumble a few lyrics, lost in his own world. It was only until you impatiently tapped at his broad shoulders to pay attention to you. He jolted up, looking left and right before finally realizing you were sitting next to him. Taking a deep breath in, he cheerfully smiled before taking one of his earbuds out. “Hey! You came early~ are you excited to see me?” he questioned, setting his Nintendo Switch into his backpack before picking up what seemed to be a bag right next to him. “Of course! Why wouldn’t I be, baby?” you reply back, grinning, deciding to pay no mind towards this bag. Yuuji was quite popular, especially revolving sports or something along the lines of that. Many famous coaches had said that he possessed super-human strength, and he had been showered in contracts with sport teams not long after those few words. In return, this caused Yuuji to be insanely busy with many interviews and pelted with multiple adult-y stuff to do, which had hurt you exceptionally. It greatly hindered the relationship between you two. Weekly visits turned into monthly, and you couldn’t bare to see him drown in all his work. He was a busy guy, but yet always so carefree, and you didn’t want that carefree childish aspect of him to disappear. After all, that was something you loved about Yuuji. He looked up at you with a reassuring beam, and you felt yourself melt under those warm eyes. “Aww, that makes me happy, (Y/N). Scratch that, you make me happy!” facing you, he gave you a quick peck on your cheek. Your heart bursts, it had been too long since you felt that specific thing, and you give him a gentle kiss back, running a hand through his fluffy hair. “I missed you. It’s been too long since I’ve talked to you, lovebug. Schedule is jampacked. But I met some nice friends along the way, and my coach is super nice!” he rambled on, fumbling with the handles of this mysterious bag. “Oh? How so?” trying to make conversation, you want to appear as interested as he talked about his coach, but you were focused on his outfit and how he looked in general. He had gotten way more stronger, you noted. He was much more scrawnier when you two first started dating, and you wondered how his cuddles might feel like. Something that didn’t change though, was his horrible fashion sense. Wearing a turquoise t-shirt with a lemon yellow jacket over it, you almost winced. Yuuji dressed like a 6th grader who had their mom pick out clothes for them. “...And he annoys the absolute shit out of his co-worker, Utahime. It’s funny! I also met this guy named Nanami and I have no idea how my coach and Nanami are friends. Nanami always looks like he’s on the verge of murdering him whenever he opens his mouth to speak! Oh and also me and my coach made Valentine cards together and I worked really hard on it and I just know you’ll like it! Also-” “Alright, alright. That’s a mouthful.” you sang sarcastically, Yuuji awkwardly laughed and rubbed his hand against the back of his neck, looking at you like you had caught him stealing a cookie out of a jar at 12 AM. “Sorry. I get carried away a lot.” he says, peering into the bottomless pit inside the bag. You couldn’t quite see what was inside of it. “No, no. I think it’s cute, Yuuji-san! I didn’t forget how you acted in the span of 1 month, why would I be dating you if I thought you were annoying?” hoping this’ll knock some sense into him, you closely examine his body language for any changes, hoping that went through his mind. You had to make sure, the guy was dumb when it came to social cues. “Ohh, really?” he looked up, pointer finger on his chin, a confused expression covering his features. “I didn’t know, I’ll act more annoying for you then!” Smacking your forehead, you studied your shoes, too giggly to look at him eye-to-eye. “That’s not what I meant, idiot.” “...What did you mean then?” Yuuji quizzed, tilting his head to the side. You really couldn’t tell if he was joking or not, you’d think that all sport players would be brutes and be masculine and perhaps... Not stupid? But here you were. “No bother.” waving your hand as a dismissal of the conversation, you instead lean towards the bag he was holding, fluttering your eyelashes. “What’s this?” “It’s a surprise~” he responded, obviously giddy. You felt yourself soften once more, how could someone be so cute just answering a question? “Hey, come on!” tugging on his arm, you try to yank the bag away, curiosity killing you. His grasp was firm, and he laughed as you did so, it felt good to hear him laugh like that again. “Okay, okay! Fine. Here, go at it.” handing you the bag, you practically ripped the handles off, ecstatic to see what could possibly be waiting to be discovered. Inside was an incredibly large teddy bear, soft. The color was almost exactly the same shade of Yuuji’s, and you squeal, hugging the plush. “Awww! This is so cute! I woulda never believed you’re smart enough to get a good gift for me!” you joked, he caught the sarcasm this time, giving you a confident grin. He liked the compliments. “It’s supposed to be me.” placing a hand onto his chest dramatically. “I don’t know if you realized though.” Scoffing, you put the teddybear to the side. “Of course I’d realize! I’m not dumb, Yuuji-san!” “Why not? We could be dumb together! Also, there’s something extra at the very bottom that I think you’d like.” Blinking, you realized that you had completely forgotten about the bag between your legs. Looking back down and rummaging for what possibly could be there, you pull out a card. On the front, there’s a tacky lopsided heart, made with glitter glue. It seems there are also many failed attempts of starting this large heart at the sides of it. At the top, there’s a large, “Happy Valentines Day!” in red marker that was also uneven. Underneath the heart? A stick figure drawing of you and Yuuji, which was also... Pretty horrible. Stifling a giggle, you open the card, eyes scanning the left for anything, you turn to face the right as soon as you deem it clear. That’s where the writing is. Dear Y/N, I love you very much and I know I do not spend that much time with you anymore but you still make me very happy. My coach was very nice and gave me Valentines day off because he felt bad. I had to run to the nearest drugstore to get you this teddybear, but me and Mr. Coach decorated this together! He says he’s a very good drawer and I agree. I think the drawing is very detailed. He also helped me with the heart (we picked out the color together) and we had a lot of fun decorating. He says my handwriting looks really bad (is that true?) can you please help me fix it later? :( With a lot of love, Your Boyfriend and Gojo Satoru (his cool coach that helped him write this, thank me later. I have no idea how you handle this guy, but God is he such an amazing kid.) Looking back up from the card, you look at Yuuji, who is looking at you back, squeamish. Without another thought, you kiss him, soft and light ones on his forehead, his cheeks, his lips, everywhere on his face. When you finally pull away, both of you are staring at each other fondly. “Yes, I’ll help you fix your handwriting, dummy.” Yuuji gave you a toothy smile that he only saved for the special ones in his life.

To be honest I hope that Hikaru works away from yuki kajiura. I absolutely adored wakana's solo album so i would love to see a solo hikaru album! And it's true that fiction junction will be able to get some spotlight now which will be nice to see...if they release dvd footage... Obviously, its sad kalafina has disbanded but i think the future looks very bright - and either way kalafina has only disbanded officially, the unofficial part of kalafina is still going if you know what i mean!
100% agreed! The future does indeed look bright!
Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE what Yuki Kajiura has done with Kalafina. She is a gifted composer and she knows the girls and their voices better than anyone else. The body of work that they have created together is unparalleled and I will treasure it until the day I die.
Fact is, Kalafina’s entire musical career has been dedicated to bringing YK’s music to life. And hey, there is nothing wrong with that. It’s obvious that YK, Wakana, Keiko and Hikaru are eternally grateful for that opportunity, they are more than happy to have been able to work together for such a long time. They are a dream team capable of creating amazing music, it would have been a crime not to pursue that.
However, there comes a time when it’s no longer enough to live someone else’s dream. You can do that for a long time and you can even find fulfillment in that (especially if it’s a grand YK dream) but at some point your own wishes and desires become stronger. Let’s not forget, among the many utahimes that have worked together with Yuki Kajiura, the members of Kalafina are the ONLY ones that have NEVER had the chance to do their own thing. Wakana and Hikaru have been passionate about music ever since they were little kids, they have always wanted to sing. Music is LIFE for them, they can’t imagine ever doing anything else. There is no doubt that they have tons of personal dreams, ideas and ambitions that just wait to be realised. Just look at Wakana literally blooming now that she is more involved in the creative process. I think it’s only a matter of time until she will do more and more stuff herself. It’s the same for Hikaru. She has always been quite vocal about the fact that she originally wanted to be a solo singer. I am sure she loved being part of Kalafina but I believe the group’s rather reserved image restrained her quite a bit.Now she has the chance to fulfill her dreams and be herself. Like you, I would love a solo album, seeing all those pics of her in the studio makes me hopeful that we won’t have to wait much longer.
I am not mentioning Keiko here because unlike Wakana and Hikaru she has not had those same childhood dreams. By no means am I implying that Keiko is any less passionate about music. Quite the contrary actually, you will be hard pressed to find anyone as dedicated to their craft as Keiko. She is incredibly passionate about singing and she always gives 110%. HOWEVER, that’s just how Keiko is. No matter what she does, she will approach the subject with that same determined attitude. Of course I don’t know what’s on Keiko’s mind but it’s quite possible that she doesn’t have the same wish as Wakana and Hikaru to pursue a solo career…and that’s totally fine…for her it might be the ultimate fulfillment to sing YK’s music and do something completely different on the side. I am ecstatic to see her back as FictionJunction KEIKO because I know it’s her choice and as long as she is happy I am happy.
And YES, they all share a strong bond, I am certain that eventually they will be back together. They all seem to be pretty sure that their paths will cross again so I have faith in that.
But until that day comes, I want them to follow their dreams, I want them to discover new parts of themselves. Once they have achieved what they set out to do there is more than enough time to work with Yuki Kajiura again.

HELLO QUEEN, HOW ARE YOU DOIIIIIING. I hope you’ve enough sleeeeep
Evangelion is suuuuuch a masterpiece (some ppl are refusing to consider it as a mecha tho)
I HAVE A PROMPT, it’s not original but it’s honest work. What do you think about gojo Uta and Shoko in a hospital au, probably a gouta thing. Or Uta could be a doctor and gojo could be the psychologist helping her after the loss of a patient, could be angstyyy…
sorry for the late reply! i literally passed out as soon as i got home on the couch last night :c
evangelion is the only manga i own every volume of heh <3 i love the character designs and how bittersweet the writing is. plus how the kids are all, like, real kids lmao. i can't wait until the last rebuild movie gets released in the rest of the world
also mmmmm i've never ever written a hospital thing but i like the idea of gojo losing riko in a complicated surgery alongside geto and 1) geto not forgiving him 2) utahime trying to comfort gojo and 3) shoko feeling guilty she wasn't there to help gojo, even though geto doesn't blame her
i think if utahime ever met riko, she'd be very entertained with how she treats gojo and geto - like they're her older brothers. utahime would probably have a soft spot for the girl, and realize gojo actually just wants someone to take care of. but there's no one to take care of him.

mutual - mai zenin x reader
request: “Could you write mai x non-binary s/o, where mai is realizing that she has a crush on s/o, it'd be funny to see her reaction when the s/o get asked by todo before they spar, abt the kind of woman s/o like, and s/o just shrug and answer 'mai, i guess'.” - @814519
summary: reader seems to take a liking to mai, who refuses to acknowledge her schoolgirl crush on them, and todo somehow manages to be the one to get them to stop dancing around their feelings for each other. (genre: fluff, mutual pining, slice of life-y)
warnings: swearing, mentions of fighting, mostly just fluff
word count: 2.7k
a/n: i’m sorry to take a long ass hiatus again but i have some fics i’m working on rn!! thank you all sm for being so patient with how slow i can be T_T btw this one includes some very mild miwa x reader as well just as a heads up lol!
when you first transferred schools in order to master your cursed technique, your first instinct was to raise an eyebrow at your classmates. the lineup of students in your school consisted of a boy who might as well be a bodybuilder, a blonde girl whose hair seemed to defy gravity, an awkward looking stoic boy clad in traditional clothing, a girl with a gun holster on the side of her baggy pants who wore a bored expression as her gaze met yours, and a normal looking blue haired girl standing next to some rusty looking robot. with all their strange hairstyles and odd clothing choices, combined with how nonchalant they were about their mechanical companion, they might as well be the cast of some forgotten sitcom from the 80s.
after introducing yourself to your stiff new classmates, you were whisked away to be led to your dorm by the blue haired girl (would you call her a “bluenette”?) who you learned was called miwa. as you walked, you asked her questions about her cursed technique, to which she sheepishly smiled and explained how she was the most “useless” of the students.
in response to her shameless self deprecation, you simply scoffed and sent an easy smile her way. “you really shouldn’t beat yourself up like that miwa, if you do it’ll be much easier for your opponents to.” despite the teasing nature of your words, you really did hope you’d managed to encourage her a bit.
miwa turned to you with bright eyes and a sincere smile. “that means a lot, really! it’ll be so nice to have an upperclassman here who isn’t so intimidating. i’m always so nervous to ask mai for help with stuff, so it’s nice to know you believe in me!”
her smile was infectious as you mirrored your junior’s facial expression. “there’s no need to be scared of them you know, believe me, just because they’re older doesn’t mean they have any idea what they’re doing.”
she shrugged in response. “i guess you might be right, this morning mai was practically shaking in her boots about getting to meet you, so maybe it’s all just a tough facade!”
you thought back to the girl who had introduced herself as mai.
what first caught your eye was the way she carried herself. while next to her other classmates as she introduced herself to you, arms crossed over her chest and back straight, as if it was an attempt to look high and mighty. rather than a proper introduction, she simply told you her name, before looking away boredly. the both of you chose to ignore the way todo teased her, before turning to introduce himself with a smug smile. he opened his mouth to seemingly ask you something, but was quickly cut off by mai stomping on his foot, sending him a harsh look. she glanced back at you with a slightly softer expression and a monotone apology for “his idiocy.”
you chuckled quietly at the idea of the girl who presented herself as so blunt and cold getting all nervous at the idea of your arrival.
breaking you out of your reminiscence, miwa waved her hands in front of her nervously as she turned to you. “just please don’t tell her i said that!” her guilty expression rivaled that of a kid who’d been caught with their hand in the cookie jar.
before she could continue in her nervous exclamation about how intimidated she was by her senior, you grabbed her hands that had been motioning wildly to match her words. “don’t worry miwa, i’d never sell you out like that.” you let out a small chuckle as you examined the genuine worry on her face, to which she just sheepishly smiled. it was funny to you how scared she seemed of her seniors, but it couldn’t help you from getting an odd urge to want to protect the small girl.
“besides,” your smile turned sly “, if what you say is true, i bet mai would be too shy to even talk to me!” a loud laugh escaped your lips as you continued your way down the dorm halls with long strides. behind you, miwa sped up when remembering she was supposed to be the one escorting you to your dorm.
“come on, that’s not fair to hang it over my head like that!” she whined as she managed to match your pace.
as miwa trailed ever so slightly behind you, you caught sight of a newly familiar head of dark hair (under the fluorescent lighting you couldn’t entirely tell whether it was green or black.)
“mai!” you called out to the girl you’d been newly acquainted with, raising one hand in greeting and slinging the other around your very embarrassed looking juniors shoulders.
the girl you’d shouted to turned to you with heavy lidded eyes that gave her face a bored, almost annoyed, expression. her turning your way was quickly followed by todo, who you guessed had been standing next to her, glancing over the hallway corner to meet your gaze. those two made an odd pair, from what you could tell. in contrast to mai’s impassive greeting, todo had introduced himself with booming confidence, before going on to complain to utahime that he’d have to leave in order to make it back to his dorm to score tickets for a concert featuring takeda. in the moment, you had to stifle a laugh at the memory of such an intimidating looking dude having a huge crush on an idol with absolutely no shame about it.
mai opened her mouth to say something, but was quickly cut off by todos roaring voice. “hey new kid!” his demeanor had been as confident as you remember, despite the fact that you were pretty sure he’d forgotten your name in the short time from when you had left to see your dorm. you gave him a smile and a lopsided wave in response.
“did you snag those tickets you were worried about earlier todo?”
“easily.” he bragged as if you cared about getting a pair of tickets for yourself. “however, earlier i meant to ask you a question, but SHE,” he pointed a thumb annoyedly at his companion, “very rudely interrupted me by stepping on my foot.”
“todo…” mai’s tone seemed warning as her eyes flickered between you and him.
“as much as i would LOVE to hear what your question is todo, i really do have to go unpack” you smiled abashedly, pulling miwa to your side, who nodded with wide eyes at how unphased you were.
“it might be better to ask when we spar later.” he shrugged. “that way i can really hear your impulse answer.” he crossed his arms, clearly to look intimidating.
“works for me! i’ll see you then too, mai.” you winked at her as you tugged miwa along behind you. mai huffed at your embarrassing show of flirtatiousness, but you didn’t miss the slight flush of her cheeks as she turned from you while rounding the corner.
even as you were close to the door of your dorm at the end of the hall, you could still hear mai berating todo for how embarrassing he was.
“i think she likes me.” a cat like grin overtook your face as you stopped in front of your dorm.
“utahime said your uniform would be folded on your bed, once you’re changed you can join us for sparring.” miwa smiled bashful smile. she’d probably chosen to ignore your previous statement in hopes of not being dragged into any drama.
“thanks miwa!” you grinned and gave her a friendly pat on the shoulder, to which she simply looked away timidly.
“it’s no problem, really.” she waved off your appreciation. “but between the two of us, i think you may be right about mai liking you.”
she bowed before running off, probably to get ready for sparring, leaving you grinning like an idiot in response to her revelation.
maybe the feeling was kinda mutual.
you were quick to change into your all black uniform pants and jacket, then breaking into a stride to the yard where sparring took place. that was, until you realized you were wandering rather aimlessly considering, you know, you didn’t really know where the yard was yet. peering around the hallway, your eye caught on an oh so familiar girl adorned in baggy black pants.
“hey mai!” you almost had it in you to feel bad for approaching her yet again.
almost.
“i’m kinda lost, d’you think i could walk with you?”
she nodded a yes in response, motioning with a hand for you to follow her.
after a one too many moments of awkward silence, you decided you’d have to be the one to bite the bullet and break it. “you know that thing todo was saying earlier about having a question he needed to ask me?” she looked up in a way that made her seem as if she’d just been brought out of being lost in her thoughts.
“what of it?”
“do you happen to know what it was? he seemed pretty serious about it.” well, as serious as todo could get.
to your surprise, mai attempted to stifle a chuckle, before a laugh managed to slip past her.
“it’s this totally dumb thing he likes to do.” she tilted her head slightly back so she looked at the ceiling as she talked. “to size people up, he likes to ask them what their type in women is.”
you let out a snort as you laughed, though you couldn’t say you were surprised.
“he seems like such a hopeless romantic, it’s hilarious.”
“yeah.” a soft smile painted her face. “but you’d better get an answer ready, if he thinks you’re too boring he’ll beat your ass.”
“really now?” you raised an eyebrow, to which she nodded in confirmation. “what does he classify as ‘boring’?”
she shrugged. “depends. whenever someone prefers personality he either beats the shit out of them or starts crying.” it was clear in her tone how exasperated her friend made her.
“what did you say? when he asked you?” you turned to face her fully, which made her realize how close together your faces were. for just a beat, she paused to examine your expression. despite your earlier teasing, you seemed sincere in your question. either you were oblivious to the blush spreading across her face, or you chose not to tease her for it.
before an answer could leave her parted open lips, she was interrupted by a voice calling both of your names.
“hey toshinori!” you smiled at the stone faced boy in front of you as you used mai’s shoulder as an armrest.
“it’s noritoshi.” the monotony in his voice made you stifle a laugh. “and you guys are running late for sparring, what were you even doing?”
her eyes glowered in his direction, clearly not in the mood to play hall monitor with him. “i was just being welcoming to our new classmate.”
he ignored her passive aggressive response and turned to you. “todo keeps asking where you are, so you might wanna hurry up.” with a swift turn, he began walking down the hallway with long strides.
once he seemed out of earshot, you burst into laughter, and from your arm you could feel mai’s shoulders shake from repressing a giggle.
“he walks like a goddamn penguin!” you referred to how his arms were wide at his sides and his stiff steps.
“him and mechamaru walk the exact same way, i’m starting to think he might just be a more advanced robot.” her dry tone was combatted by the way the corners of her mouth turned up in a lopsided grin.
“though, we should probably get going, even if i get a pass for being new here, i’m not sure how utahime would react to you being late.”
you didn’t notice how her eyes softened at your concern for her as you beckoned for her to lead the way.
“i don’t think she’d mind, after all utahime loves me for my pep and bubbly spirit.” her voice oozed with sarcasm while you smiled to yourself about how you’d managed to get her to loosen up.
the walk to the sparring field was quick, and it made you wonder how much time you two had taken just talking at the end of the hallway. you were greeted by the sight of your strangely styled classmates (plus the literal robot) beginning to split into pairs. before you could turn to mai with the question of partnering up, you were greeted by a todo with a firm hand on your shoulder.
“we’re partnering up, new kid!” it was more of a declaration than an offer. you smiled awkwardly as his shadow enveloped your figure, seeing mai be whisked away by momo out of the corner of your eye. if you’d looked close enough, you’d have been able to see the annoyed look mai sent at todo and the smug smile momo flashed at mai and her obvious display of jealousy.
you planted your feet on the ground that was caked in dust and prepared yourself into a fighting stance, with fists raised and legs steady. though it seemed you’d gotten prepared to defend from an attack that wasn’t coming. instead, todo marched over to you confidently. mai glanced over from her sparring, knowing exactly what was coming.
he called your name in his usual booming voice, which you were surprised he actually knew.
“what is your type in women?” he towered over you, his expression dead serious despite his absolutely ridiculous question.
feeling mai’s eyes trailing you, you glanced over to her. she mouthed something to you about not saying personality. you failed to hold back a chuckle, which seemed to snap todo out of his intimidating glower.
his gaze followed yours, which was still focused on mai for the briefest of moments.
“ohhhh i get it…you’ve got a thing for mai, huh?” he sounded like a child about to blackmail their sibling.
a furious blush overtook mai’s face practically instantly, while momo covered her mouth with a hand to suppress a laugh. you glanced between a boastful looking todo and a tomato looking mai.
“yeah i guess you could say she’s my type.” you shrugged nonchalantly, to which you could hear mai sputtering something about how you were just trying to embarrass her. miwa had a sheepish look on her face as she walked over to check on mai, though it only seemed to make her more flustered when miwa asked if she wanted to go to the nurse.
while witnessing the admittedly charming trainwreck happening in front of you, there was a moment for you to look back at todo.
“are you CRYING?”
“i have no shame in it. it’s like mai is my daughter and i’m walking her down the aisle at her wedding.”
“it’s absolutely nothing like that, todo.”
he ignored your blatant confusion at his reaction. “young love is so beautiful. you have my full blessing to date mai.” he sniffles and wiped his nose, then held it out for you to shake, to which you scrunched your nose in disgust.
“thanks for the blessing’ and all, but now that we’re done with that, i think i should go spar with lover girl over there.” you threw your thumb over your shoulder to point to mai.
“you guys should join me and takeda for a double date! we can arrange a date once she finally answers my calls.” todo had a large grin, shameless about his tear stained cheeks.
“how about it?” you raised an eyebrow at mai, who had become significantly more composed in the time you hadn’t been looking in her direction.
“absolutely not.” she deadpanned, though her impassive look didn’t last very long as she leaned over to whisper in your ear, cracking a small smile reserved for you. “i’d rather we just hang out without that oaf, you know it’s embarrassing for them to see how you get me acting like a schoolgirl with her first crush.”
the moment paused for a split second for her to glance at todo, who was staring you down like a disapproving father.
“plus lord knows takeda isn’t answering him anytime soon.”
“I HEARD THAT!”
