Hello again , we try it another time

You remember how I said in October I'll be sporadically back? Like I said here ?

Well, yeah, that was the plan but life is what happens when plans hit reality.

So, we thought my dad is out of the pickle with being in a rehab facility but nope. Early November we got a call that after the stroke in August he know had a heart attack while there and needed to be hospitalized again. He got surgery twice, only to discover during the diagnostics afterwards he also had a second stroke but smaller this time.

Meant, again the stress of bringing stuff to the hospital in turns. With me still recovering from Covid this didn't go well, and shortly before Christmas I collapsed because of exhaustion (and got some major lecture from the doctors.) In the end I got a longer sick leave from this, sort of accidentally booked my own stay at the hospital for a few days and if the doc would have gotten his way, he would have sent me to rehab to get some time to catch a breath and regain energy right away. Unfortunately, the retirement bureau wasn't having it (in Germany they are dealing with this if you have worked at least for one year).

In short, I am still down, now worse than before, and hoping my boss doesn't decide the budget cuts he gets bugged with the last two years will now come with fireing me.

So, yaay... We will see how much I will be around.

grian is such a wet cat (fond) at the end of this session, especially from gem and joel's povs. trying to convince them to let him join the family in the most roundabout way possible. lying about the safety of his base ("no one has ever died at my base" "where are your teammates?"). forced to compliment the car he hates so very much. skizz's body is still warm but grian can't be alone for more than five minutes or he goes crazy (we all remember secret life). isn't it funny how familiar this all feels...

Last year in febuary, I drew and posted my first concept of this silly AU, and exactly one year later; here we are!
