so do you have all the dr1 4komas?
I am once again getting to this late ;-----;
Sorry, got busy again, hehe
I don't have all the DR1 4Koma's, no. I technically only have half of them. I've got the 4Koma KINGS anthology series, which is 4 books in total. I don't have the original 4Koma anthology series, however, which is another 4. (Not to mention the DR1+2 4Komas, but that's slightly different lol.)
For example, the cover on the left is the anthology, whereas the cover on the right is the KINGS series. I only have the series on the right.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
With any luck (and a little more money lol), I do hope to find/buy the original anthology series so that I can translate everything and compile it all into one location, but I'm 90% sure that the first series is already fully translated and much more accessible than the 4Koma KINGS one is. Not to say that some of the KINGS series isn't translated as well, since you can definitely find some online. I just have a hard time finding them, and it doesn't look like anyone got to the 4th volume.
I hope this helps puts things into a little more context :D

Hey Meep, Meepster, Meeperoni how do you draw scales?
I love your scales, both the prominent and far away ones. I especially love the scales on your cryptid boys.
So how do you do it?! When I try to draw scales it looks like a gravel road and just overall bad. Please share your wisdom, I beg.
In my head this turned into a bigger question than you might have intended pfjfjf, I tried my best to stay relativity simple with my answer!
Let me show you how you can think when figuring out big scales.
First I try to keep it simple and not sketch in all the scales until I've gotten the pose down.
Tumblr media
When I start planning out scales I start with figuring out the direction of the scales and the big shapes (I usually do this in my head, but drawing it can be very useful)
Tumblr media
Once I'm happy with the shapes and directions I start adding the scales one at a time, all overlapping each other like they're huge fish scales.
Tumblr media
Scales don't always have to follow the same 'start at the head and run down the body' idea, you can do the opposite and get some very neat looking shapes. You can mix it up too. Here's some examples!
Tumblr media
There are a lot of different kinds of scales and animals often have more than one kind. Some even do look like gravel!
Tumblr media
I suggest looking at real life animals and fictional creatures for inspiration and reference. It takes a long while to learn how and where to use specific scales, but it'll be easier if you're willing to spend some time looking at and studying scales and the anatomy around them.
Some examples of animals with scales~ (names in alt text)

fav brushes???? i go insane for ur stuff haufhdhhd
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here you go! These are just my CSP usuals. In photoshop, I tend to lean towards more square brushes. In procreate, I’m more likely to use hard round brushes. I could not explain to you why. It creates this really funny effect where you can tell what programs I used on different pieces, or if I swapped out at some point.
The palette knife blender is a new addition, but I’m definitely keeping it around. Color randomiser has been a staple for years, as well as imgjpg2.

Hi so me being me I've decided to hyperanalyze the conversation Qrow and Raven had in Higanbana practically line by line bcus I have Many Thoughts and this is the best way I can think of to get them all out. If you can't tell I'm absolutely obsessed with these two. Btw.
Thanks to the RWBY wiki for providing transcripts for every episode, otherwise I definitely would have missed smth despite having just watched this scene recently lol
I put it under the read more for easier scrolling due to how long this post got!
I immediately noticed smth in the very first lines of the interaction:
Raven: "Hello, brother." Qrow: "...Raven."
You'll notice throughout the whole conversation that Raven never calls Qrow by his name, only condescendingly referring to him as "brother" this one time and never calling him anything else. Meanwhile, Qrow directly refers to Raven a total of three times throughout the conversation, and only one doesn't call Raven by her name (which we'll get to shortly)
On the other hand, Qrow doesn't bother with even so much as a greeting beyond simply stating Raven's name
It's different ways of communicating their distance. While Raven holds her relationship with Qrow over his head — never once, even outside of this scene, does she call him "brother" with affection iirc, only derision and condescension — Qrow doesn't seem to rly know how to greet her. He hesitates before saying her name and approaching her, as if trying to assess the situation before acting
Qrow: "So, what do you want?" Raven: "A girl can't just catch up with her family?" Qrow: "She can, but you're not. Now how 'bout we get on with it? Unless you plan on keeping these [drinks] comin'."
Again, Raven seems to bring up her familial ties with Qrow as a tactic to get him to do what she wants — in this case, stick around to talk to her despite him not seeming to rly want to. Frankly, it feels manipulative. We're gonna put a pin in this for now and come back to it in just a moment
Additionally, Qrow already knows that Raven's not just here for a friendly chat between two siblings, and sees right thru her facade that it is. Raven is here bcus she wants smth from him. But interestingly, it is Raven in V5 that says, in an almost frustrated/disappointed tone, "Family. Only coming around when they need something." There's another pin; keep both in mind
Raven: "Does she have it?" Qrow: "...Did you know Yang lost her arm?" Raven: "That's not—" Qrow: "Rhetorical question, I know you know. It's just obnoxious that you'd bring up family and then carry on like your own daughter doesn't exist." Raven: "I saved her." Qrow: "Once. Because that was your rule, right? Real 'Mom of the Year' material, sis."
Qrow dodges Raven's question about the Relic and instead brings up her hypocrisy in how she treats family. And it's a good point. Here she is lording her siblingship with Qrow over his head while simultaneously defending and upholding her rule that she is only obligated to help her own daughter a single time. Another pinpoint on our little conspiracy board
Also, here's the one time in this conversation Qrow refers to Raven as "sis". Like Raven's use of "brother", Qrow's use of "sis" is very pointed and with intent. But it's not to manipulate Raven, it's a snarky jab meant to rly hammer home Qrow's point
Raven: "I told you Beacon would fall, and it did. I told you Ozpin would fail, and he has. Now you tell me. Does. Salem. Have it?" Qrow: "I thought you weren't interested in all of that." Raven: "I just want to know what we are up against." Qrow: "And which 'we' are you referring to?"
A few things of note here. At some point in the past, Raven expressed an outright disinterest in Ozpin's inner circle, at least to Qrow. Qrow also feels excluded in the "we" Raven mentions being against Salem. To me, there seems to be a distinct possibility here that it wasn't that Raven felt personally disinterested in Ozpin's operations, but that she somehow felt excluded and feigned a lack of interest in order to protect herself. An idea that is further supported in my eyes by the following dialogue:
Qrow: "You should come back, Raven. The only way we'd beat her is by working together. All of us." Raven: "You're the one who left. The tribe raised us, and you turned your back on them." Qrow: "They were killers and thieves." Raven: "They were your family." Qrow: "You have a very skewed perception of that word."
And there it is. Raven's problem is laid out here for us, loud and clear: She feels like she was the one abandoned, not the one running away. She says it outright! "You're the one who left." To her, Qrow is the traitor, the one who left their family behind. If you ask Qrow (or, for that matter, Tai, Yang, and even Summer based on the scene in V9), it's the opposite
Bcus they have different definitions of family
Another thing to pin (I promise this will all become clear soon)
Raven: "I lead our people now. And as leader, I will do everything in my power to ensure our survival." Qrow: "I saw. The people of Shion saw, too." Raven: "The weak die. The strong live. Those are the rules." Qrow: "Well, you've certainly got someone strong on your side. I've seen the damage." Raven: "We couldn't have known the Grimm would set in as quickly as they did." Qrow: "I'm not talking about the Grimm. And I'm not talking about you, either."
Notice Raven's shift from "the tribe" to "our people". More of that guilt tripping!
Additionally, Raven is *obsessed* with rules. One save. The weak die, the strong live. Raven lives and breathes rules, even seemingly arbitrary ones. Guess what this is? Another pin!
Raven: "If you don't know where the Relic is, then we have nothing left to talk about." Qrow: "I don't know where the Spring Maiden is, either, but if you do, I need you to tell me." Raven: "And why would I do that?" Qrow: "Because without her, we're all going to die." Raven: "...And which 'we' are you referring to?"
Qrow's "either" here implies that he also doesn't know where the Crown of Choice is, which is... interesting. He's one of Ozpin's closest lieutenants, and is in the dark on where Beacon's Relic is? Wherever it is, it is such a closely kept secret that even Ozpin's best spy doesn't know where it is (maybe so that in the event Qrow gets captured by Salem he can't be forced into giving her the information?)
Meanwhile, Raven's "And why would I [tell you]?" implies that she does know who the Spring Maiden is (obviously. Raven's the Spring Maiden lol) but refuses to disclose to Qrow
A lantern sputters out after Qrow says "Without [Spring] we're all going to die." Now, I genuinely can't remember if this is headcanon or canon, but iirc Misfortune seems to act up when Qrow's upset. He's clearly tired of this little game of dancing around topics that Raven's been playing with him
And once again, Raven indicates a feeling of exclusion from Qrow's life in the iconic final line. She gets the final word in before leaving
We've finally reached the end of the conversation. Now what does all of this tell us?
And here is where all of those pins I wrote down are relevant. As I mentioned, the twins view family very differently
Qrow's view is pretty obvious: he views family as the ppl in his life who matter most to him. Unlike Raven, he does not view the tribe as family despite the fact that they raised him, disgustedly referring to them as "killers and thieves". It's implied that he was, in fact, neglected and/or likely abused by the Branwen tribe, saying in V6C4, "No one wanted me... I was cursed..." further explaining his distaste for them. Furthermore, despite not being related to Ruby by blood, they clearly consider one another family throughout the series, and he even seems closer to her than he seems to his niece who's actually blood related to him (I personally headcanon that he keeps more of a distance from Yang bcus she reminds him too much of Raven, who he feels abandoned and hurt by, but that's neither here nor there). Bloodlines and debts are secondary compared to loyalty, if they're considered at all. He is obviously furious that Raven only insists on saving Yang once and never directly interacting with her beyond that, despite Raven constantly guilting Qrow over abandoning his so-called "family" of the tribe. And yet. And yet. He still offers Raven a place back in his life, even if only to unite against Salem
Raven's view, to me, has been an enigma for a while. But after hyperanalyzing this conversation, after noting down all of those points of interest, I feel like I've finally cracked the code. Raven views family as an obligation, an exchange that always has an ulterior motive behind it. She seeks out Qrow only bcus she desires smth from him despite showing distaste when someone does the same to her; condescendingly calls Qrow "brother" more than his actual name and calls the tribe their "family" to try guilting him into doing what she wants; and feels fierce loyalty to the tribe but barely interacts with her daughter, only seeming to count one of the two as true family. She views the concept of family with cynicism and seems to feel an obligation to the tribe, as if she "owes" them for raising her
I think the two's perceptions of what defines family are all to do with the way the tribe treated both of them. This crosses a bit into headcanon territory, but as you can see by the above quotes and analysis, I rly don't think I'm just making it up entirely
As I already mentioned, I think it's implied that the Branwen tribe neglected/abused Qrow. In fact, we could probably blame their treatment of him for the deep self-loathing he has due to his "cursed" Semblance. But what about Raven?
Well, it's simple: I think she was abused, too, just in a different way. While Qrow was likely shown and told on a consistent basis that he was unwanted, unloved, undeserving of good things, Raven may have been shown and told she was wanted, loved, and deserving of good things... if she did what the tribe told her. If she repaid them for raising her and her brother, for being her "family". The way she uses her familial ties with Qrow as almost blackmail may be exactly the way the tribe treated her. Her obsession with following rules may stem from the fact that she had to follow the rules the tribe set for her in order to be accepted and deemed worth smth
As for her distance from Yang... honestly, I wonder if Raven is aware that Yang deserves better and keeps her distance as her way of doing that. When Summer confronts Raven in the V9 scene, Raven says, "...You're better at that life. Better than I was." She seems to have a fear and insecurity about being a good family member, a good mother, and maybe that's why she fled. Maybe she was scared of being like her abusers due to how she emulates them as a self-preservation tactic in so many other ways. Not entirely sure about this point tho
And I think too this is why the twins don't rly understand one another. They may have been unaware of the different ways in which the other was treated. Qrow, constantly unwanted and loathed, can't understand why Raven sticks around with the tribe; Raven, who obeyed the tribe and, in doing so, garnered enough of their favor to even eventually become leader, can't understand why Qrow can't just be "good", earn respect, and stay
This dissonance between the two experiences may also be completely intentional on the part of the tribe; abusers will often eliminate their targets' support systems in order to make them completely reliant on the abuser, so it's highly likely that the wedge was intentionally driven between the two siblings so that they could not find support in one another. This would also tie into why the twins seem to feel excluded from one another's lives and abandoned by one another: bcus they were made to feel that way by their common abusers, and did nothing to challenge these assumptions bcus they saw no reason to — and only seemed to keep proving one another right if they did
Which rly has some disturbing implications about how the Branwen tribe works. Like, do they just pick orphaned kids up off the street and abuse them into being perfect little bandits, molded to be of the greatest possible use and discarded if they're deemed worthless? Plus Qrow says his Semblance is how he got his name, which implies that the tribe also renames the kids they scoop up (possibly as a form of control or a way to make sure they can't be tracked down by any remaining family)? Plus there's the whole thing where Qrow and Raven were originally sent to Beacon to learn how to kill Huntsmen, which carries with it the implication that the Branwen tribe grooms literal orphan children into becoming stone-hearted murderers? What. The heck.
And if I'm right, if the Branwen tribe is that severely abusive, then like... wow, no wonder Qrow and Raven are Like That. They're both very deeply hurt people expressing it in different ways
I was considering adding their conversation at the Battle of Haven to this post, but I think that would be better as its own thing. Also I haven't gotten there on my rewatch yet so I may miss some details if I try to analyze it rn; it's better to wait overall methinks
But I have reached the point of my rewatch where we see Weiss and Whitley interact, and I think it would be very efficient to sum up what Qrow and Raven's relationship seems to be by using those siblings as a point of reference. Qrow = Weiss, actively trying to break free from and fight back against their abusers in different ways, while Raven = Whitley, continuing to do as their abusers want and have wanted as a method of self-preservation. Only, unlike Weiss and Whitley, Qrow and Raven have yet to come to a point where they can understand one another. I think that's a good way to briefly summarize the uh. Absolutely massive post this is.
In conclusion, I may have cracked the majority of the Branwen twins' pre-Beacon backstory purely by hyperanalyzing a single conversation. Oopsies

Why do you draw wheelchairs like that /gen q
I’m a full time manual wheelchair user and all the pieces of the wheelchairs you draw look like…they’re floating? The footplate is inaccurate too and there’s not even a cushion. I would highly recommend looking at references! /gen
it's mostly because the wheelchair he uses is connected to his backpack !
Tumblr media
(there actually is a cushion ! it's being hold up by those two fang, spider leg looking thingy, you can see the placement on the sitting pose on where it's supposed to be !)
it's a very stylized version of how a normal wheelchair look, i actually looked up references of wheelchairs while making the backpack, i just deliberately choose to make it look like that cause it's not a typical normal wheelchair, it's his backpack that he doubled up the use as a wheelchair because he needs it to switch fast if the situation ask for it cause everything he needed is in the bakcpack itself (the spider limbs version though it does look floaty but it's on purpose). if i were to put the wheeled version of his backpack, it would not look as floaty as it does (and if you're talking about the splash art, it's just for visual purposes, it doesnt float).
the footplate tho... yea i realized after posting the splash art that i drew it wrong 💀 its a pain to go back and edit tho because it does lag a lot and it's a bunch of heavy edit for it to look like that so i can't exactly went back and redo it, tho i am planning on fixing it in the future !

how did u choose your username?
oh, this is a fun one!! i think i considered being swordtold at first, for that very ancient myth vibe of the sword being this narrative tool for adventure and structure and physical time, the parable being passed down through the centuries until it meddles into modern day rhetoric and ideology – a kind of fantastical tool, a spark of magic, of possibility.
i like the arc of the story of a place being physical / having it be held by time and hand alike, wearing with the years and having it become something different to each holder, each reader, each experience fantastical and individual.
having that kind of physicality to it; swordheld is the action of taking up and holding the sword yourself, choosing your own narrative, leading your own story. self-identity has always been something i struggle with (a novel concept i know, i know), so it felt right for this blog, since most of my older blogs before this one have been just me silently reblogging and never really posting anything myself, and i wanted this to be the change to that.
i've always had trouble wranging my social anxiety, esp. on the internet, and previously thought that keeping my words to myself helped keep the timeline cleaner, in a way, no messy thoughts for others to sort through, especially ones i believed no one would want to read anyway? but it never felt right, keeping myself apart from it all, esp. not in the way i so avidly enjoyed reading others' posts and additions, keeping their words close to my heart.
i wanted it to reflect that this was a space i was holding for myself? and i'm a little slow on the uptake sometimes, but this - this i think i got right. i love being here, on this blog, and the joy that it brings me. everyone else enjoying it too has been a wild ride that i never expected, and still surprises me, one that brings a little extra thrill to my heart whenever i think about it.
i had other urls that i liked, but i didn't want this blog to be tied directly to any of my fandom/story interests, since i wanted it to really just be a sort of archive of artistic inspiration and resource, like a little library or museum. i use them now as lil sideblogs of more niche interests now, which is rather lovely.
it hasn't always felt like it fit perfectly, the way that i'd like, but for some reason i can't think of really wanting to change it anytime soon. it feels mythic yet modern in a way that feels like puzzle pieces finally slotting into their place, something my own and inspirational to me, like a lantern i'm holding to make my way by. my own kind of light, if that makes sense – a star i know by name.

Wait aren’t Morgana and Arthur siblings
Yes, they are! Well. No but yes.
Tumblr media
At least, they definitely are siblings in BBC Merlin’s canon. They share Uther as a father, which makes them half-siblings. They’re often half-siblings in many variations and retellings, too.
But they weren’t always, just like how Morgana wasn’t always an antagonist/villain. Originally, she was first a healer to Arthur and was one of nine sisters of Avalon (though her true origin likely dates back farther than arthuriana and was inspired by welsh mythology/folklore. You can blame Ol Geoff of Monmouth)
It was later on, in some variations, that she was re-established as Arthur’s half-sister and a morally-grey antagonist. (She was also Merlin’s apprentice in some of these versions too lol)
When it comes to more modern retellings, her portrayal’s become very conflated with her full sister’s depictions in legend - that full sister being Morgause. Basically, creators of modern retellings were like “omfg too many characters and the names of these two sound the same anyway, and people recognise morgan/morgana more than they do morgause… Splice them, Andy.”
“On it, boss.”
So, TLDR; the answer is: yes. But not always. Sometimes. It depends LOL

We know how well Barry comforts Rafe, but I’m curious if you have written about Rafe comforting him (or trying to, anyways) when Barry cries either openly in front of him or when he thinks Rafe can’t hear/see him? Can’t help but wonder how he’d deal with it
Have I written published pieces about this? Probably...you don't read my stuff and I write too much to even remember what happened in the previous chapter of whatever I'm currently working on, so really your guess is as good as mine. Unfortunately I can never settle on a proper hc for how Barry was brought up; big, loving family who lend support and thrive off physical affection or a broken, abusive one. Which plays a big part in how I think this scenario would go. Regardless, I do make him very emotional because I feel he is underneath all the sarcastic comments, and that his chill persona is only 50% real. But he masks well after so much practice, either from his upbringing or the army or drug dealing.
Rafe doesn't care about some stranger whining about a breakup in the country club bathroom or one of Rose's snobby friends sobbing in the pool house after one too many margs BUT he's not unfeeling or clueless when it comes to those he cares about. I've written and hc that Rafe was responsible for his sisters a lot of the time growing up, mainly Wheezie, because Ward was very untrusting when it came to who he let around his children unsupervised. (In case they revealed something, embarrassed the family name, got a reputation for not looking after his own kids, etc.) So Rafe is a pro at making a slow, calm approach followed by easy questions, picking away at the tension until whoever is ready to let it all out. He'll side-hug and shush softly and then provide solutions, because solving the problem is how he would show he cares.
At least that's what worked with Wheezie when her ant farm smashed on the driveway after show-and-tell (Rafe helped her order a new starting kit and cleaned up the broken glass and dirt) or when Sarah had a project due the next morning she forgot about. (He knew where the key to his father's office was and broke in to raid the supplies closet, then spread out on his sisters bedroom floor to help her glue information cards to Bristol board)
But would Barry appreciate Rafe trying to step in and tell him what he should do? I doubt it. Chances are Barry already knows what needs to happen and is just frustrated and overwhelmed. In the early days he could lash out, act angry in place of hurt and it would be convincing. He would tell Rafe to leave him alone, or he'd rush outside with the excuse to smoke or take a call and hide around back. If Barry cries, there's a chance Rafe would be able to tell, so he practices breathing to calm himself down like he's taught himself to do when he was hiding away in his childhood bedroom or surrounded by dozens of other men in the barracks. (I mean think of when the pogues robbed him. Was his first instinct to hunt down Rafe at the country club and subtly ask for help? Yeah. Is it likely he went home and kicked the now empty bag his stolen money was stuffed in before collapsing on the bed to shed a few tears? Also, yeah. I hc that Barry sends all his spare cash home but even if that's not the case, there goes his car payments and rent/mortgage, and rainy day fund and any potential trip to the emergency room.)
So...I don't know that this would happen before there's something serious between them, because I think Barry would go to great lengths to avoid any potential slip-up with big feelings, besides anger, since men don't tend to think that's an emotion. (And this isn't just about crying, either. He'd fall for Rafe hard and keep his mouth shut, suffer through months of lingering touches and longing stares because like hell is he showing his belly first) I mean I could write it, but I don't think it would be very interesting..
Alright, so they're dating or whatever, and Rafe comes back to a silent trailer. Barry's definitely off work and his truck (or whatever vehicle you want buddy to have) is parked in the usual spot in the makeshift driveway. Fishing poles are by the front door right where they were left last night, worn-out wallet is on the scuffed-up kitchen table, dirty boots are left by the couch. Rafe would creep down the hallway and peek into the cramped bedroom to find Barry on the edge of the bed, face in his hands and shoulders shaking. It wouldn't be loud and whiny and dramatic, frankly, like Rafe cries but it's unmistakable what the older man is doing.
And it would naturally freak Rafe the fuck out because it's such a foreign sight. Rafe would tell himself to approach the older man as if he's dealing with Sarah or Wheezie but abandon that the moment he hears a sniffle, rush in and kneel and try to get Barry to look at him, talk to him, give him one single hint about what's wrong. And Barry would be so embarrassed even though he's been on the other side of this interaction a million times before, tears are dripping off his jaw and his face feels so hot and Rafe is bombarding him with questions. What happened? Did I do something? Is it your mom? Barry, what happened? Are you mad at me? Did I do something? (He's insecure, of course he is, and is so used to being the problem so Barry can't blame him for worrying) And Barry would shake his head but wouldn't answer. So Rafe would lay him back, hold him and it's strange for both of them. Rafe would untangle unruly curls with slender fingers and chew on the nails of others, trying to keep from prying and upsetting the dealer any more. Barry would feel so, so embarrassed; open his mouth and close it, contemplate shrugging the whole thing off and pretending everything is fine. Then something small would make him cave like Rafe wrapping him up in an awkward hug (that's crushing, despite the odd position they're in) or kissing his head, and then he would have to let it all out.
Or, better, Barry would know he's safe with Rafe and seek his boy out when upset. This feeling inside him has been building and building until it reaches a dangerous crest and if he doesn't get it out, he'll probably lose it. So he waits with wet eyes for Rafe to show up, long legs barely over the threshold when Barry knocks into him. Yeah, it's the first time Barry has cried in front of Rafe and so what, the kook is relieved and grateful he's being trusted. (Even if his heart was beating erratically when he felt the collar of his (pink) shirt dampen) In either scenario, or any scenario the older man is crying really, I'm sure Barry would be plagued with doubt about the whole thing. Since the very beginning of their relationship, they fell naturally into certain roles...would Rafe think of him as less of a man now? Would Rafe stop crying to him? Would Rafe treat him like he's fragile? Was Rafe laughing with his little kook friends behind Barry's back? No, of course not. All his worries are settled when Rafe doesn't look at him differently afterwards. Once Barry's tears have been wiped away, his kook is being just as bratty and arrogant as usual, expecting Barry to act as a guard dog (when Rafe is quite literally so fucking capable of handling himself, not that Barry's ever complaining) and carry in all the groceries and let Rafe be passenger princess and toss him around in bed, not even bringing up what happened earlier that day.

How do you decide which plushie to cuddle with everyday? I try to change it up so everyone gets cuddles but I worry that some don’t get enough even with me just carrying around the few that live on my bed because they help my anxiety best
Most of the plush that get cuddles are part of the Bed Squad. I cuddle them depending on my mood honestly. I look at em and I know it's their turn. They've also gotta be a good hugging size, around 8 inches or larger. So plush like Lil Guy, Lil Vee, Cosmo, Wanda, and Squish don't get picked (not that they aren't loved on in some form tho. I'll usually cup them in my hands and hold them to my cheek for nuzzles). There are a few plush that are cuddled more than others, though, but the others don't get jealous.
Some plushies have the designated job of being a Cuddle Plush! They're the ones that I'll hold when I sleep or when I'm not feeling well. Plushies like Wawa the frog, and Chubbychu the pikachu, Binky, and The Baby. Cuddle Plush is it's own job, because with it the plushies have to deal with things like: getting dirty quicker than their regular plushie counterparts, getting tears or drool on them, risking flattening, discoloration, seams getting torn, etc.
Not every stuffed animal is up for the task of enduring such things. So they get less cuddles, but that makes the ones they get more special!

Do you hate the way Soul Eater's anime ended? I personally didn't mind the ending that much
No, I don't hate it either! ^^
I've got the whole serie on my bookshelf, watched the whole anime, I actually kind of like that the endings for each are different!
The anime one can be seen as a "good ending", knowing how little casualties they were, Asura was gone for good as well. The manga's, I like to call it a "neutral" one, there's a huge threat still looming over the protags' heads, the reason why it is that way is logical (everybody fear something. It's only normal and human), there were lots more interesting events that happened as well.
And to write a bit more, there is, personally, one way that the manga was "better": How it handled Asura.
In the anime, it was indeed a threat lingering everywhere, the culminating point, like in the manga, but sensibly less than it. The final battle really crystallised that well.
Asura is a freaking. God. A god went mad by his irrational fear of absolutely everything. The dude is everyphobia incarnated and so much that it draws power from it and actually distort the world around by his mere existence, thus why Lord Shinigami had to seal him in the first place.
With such power.... I kind of find it quite anti-climatic that the Main Gang somehow managed to stop him for good with a power of friendship infused punch... (what they did in the anime). The manga manages to illustrate (haha, because it's drawn, get it?) better how powerful he is, how tiring and stretching the battle was. They managed to "defeat" him, not even totally, because they went on his side, they played his "game" for power. They used Black Blood and especially the help of Crona. Without them, the plan wouldn't have succeeded. And all of this was WITHIN Asura himself. Meaning that, outside, the guy's practically invisible. Actually, he is, since he is sealed again. Not killed, sealed. The amount of death on Shibusen's side is also not negligible after that. The final is more satisfying overall.
They got an understanding ground with the Witches, something that wasn't possible before due to the Hunt, so a Demonic Weapon can become a Death Scythe, Kid is more mature, Maka and Soul's realtionship got stronger, Black☆Star... well, it's Black☆Star, what else do you expect, but he did grew, all of them grew alongside their partners...
To conclude...
As stated in the start, no. I do not hate the gecko ending of the anime, I like it. I'm with you here! But I do have a strong preference for the manga one, some of the reasons why are stated above.

i really wanna hear so many of your fluffybird headcanons please /nf
Hah well thank you? That's very sweet though I don't have too many? Most of them just rely on scenes in the actual show or my interpretations of the characters based on what I see? Like, I'll notice things?
Uh, I think Duck like, with both Yellow and Red just like. ASSUMES however he feels about either of them is immediately and unequivocally reciprocated. I think part of that is his ego and I think part of that is his either unwillingness or utter inability to read social cues ( see: "They're pretending they don't respect me."; 'I'M your best friend?' 'Yeah. We're close." ) This is, regardless of the way he treats both of them by the way, because he assumes they already are a family and expects the other two to just immediately agree and also because of how immediate he is to reassure Yellow of their friendship when questioned on it.
I think it's very likely that in his head Ducks like "Uh, yeah, the big guy LOVES me, I'm LITERALLY his favorite." and if he were to ever verbalize that to him, Red would shut that down so hard his head would spin lol. ( Think very similar to what happens in the family ep :])
Red guy tends to be a bit harsh when it comes to verbalizing/establishing clearly his connection with the other two members of the trio (see: "I mean I KNOW you, I know which one you ARE."; "We could have a friend meeting!" 'Well, thats a stretch.'; "We shouldn't even be talking to each other, should we? We don't even know each other, really." ) but in his actions he shows he definitely at least cares for them. Like Yellow, I think he's actually very unsure about his place with the other two (and seems a bit insecure in general? At least in regard to how he looks/comes across.) and his way of coping with this is what he uses a lot; avoidance. He doesn't really know where he stands with the other two or what they think of him, so he acts as though they have no connection at all. He WILL desperately try to call them while he's gone and make SURE they don't leave the car before he starts trying to escape and also he WILL know their favorite foods and make puppets of them when he's all alone. But yknow, they're practically strangers, he doesn't know a thing about them.
THAT is why I think a lot of his interactions with Duck in a romantic sense would be similar to the Electricity scene in that they will be quiet and bashful and give himself an easy out in case the feelings are not reciprocated. Here, I'm focusing more on how he never outright says he likes looking at Duck, he says he "wouldn't mind" then confirm sort of unsteadily "I suppose" when pressed on it. What he means is sort of inferred and unsteadily confirmed in a wishy-washy way that gives him an easy out if things go wrong.
So YAH!
