Abyss is the youngest littermate of Adamant and Quiet. His given name by Jasper was Lazy, as while he’s grown quicker than his siblings, he rarely participates in hunts due to his low energy. However, he’s great at planning an strategy.

I’ll put the rest of his backstory under cut due to spoilers. If you’re not caught up on or haven’t read I Hope So, you really should! It’s definitely one of my favorite webcomics.

A few months before Quiet was killed, Lazy snuck out of the Golden Grove and followed his father as he met up with Edge. He stayed hidden from Jasper, but Edge saw him. After Jasper returned to the Grove, Edge approached Lazy with an offer to join his kingdom, as long as he changed his name and proved himself useful. Lazy instantly accepted, and chose his new name to by Abyss.

He’s now a squire likely to become Fade’s knight whenever he takes over his father’s position. However, living within Edge’s inner circle while avoiding his family is a stressful task, and has led to him developing vitiligo on his front legs and back. Abyss’s explanation for this, however, is that the white fur of Edge’s family is contagious.

I was hit by a vision. But for the Trash Version of Magnet specifically referenced Magnet lore for those unaware

I've seen a couple of people say not to have known what this is referencing so I feel like it's my duty to educate... Magnet is a Vocaloid song that just hit its 15th anniversary! A lot of people especially in the west regard it as their gay awakening etc for being a love song sung by Miku and Luka, two female Vocaloids, but it gained traction everywhere and it became a trend/meme to redraw the original illustration (seen in the song link) with other characters. Most popular anime etc ships are almost guaranteed to have a Magnet parody illustration of them lol. The pose is the main thing but it's also very important to include the butterfly wing headphones

The "Trash Version" linked way above is a parody of the original song with lines such as "We’re as straight as boards, I know you know that too, so why do I pretend I’m gay for you!?!". It's just funny lol

thinking about how that solavellan ending actually Works for lavellans who want that hopeful ending but arent as forgiving abt the whole situation as veilguard presented it. and i do think in ashara's case, yes, she goes with him out of love, but more so out of duty. post trespasser she drops the name lavellan in favor of her family name, dhavise, since her place in the clan had already been cast into question and her allegiances with the chantry/solas are cause for doubt as to whether she's even welcome back anymore. but i think by the end of veilguard she's reaffirmed her identity as Lavellan no matter what, and truly does see herself as the Keeper of not just her own clan but of her whole modern people, and with that rekindled purpose she chooses to watch over them all by way of watching over fen'harel. protecting them by protecting him from himself. which ironically is the reason the dalish HAVE keepers in the first place

the thing about tog2 is that even if it were perfect it could quite literally never live up to what the fandom has created. we took 2 hours of screen time split over 5 (and a half?) core characters and an unfinished comic series and fleshed out backstories and personalities and relationships!! and even though everyone's interpretation of canon is slightly different, we've generally built a community of people who love TOG and love the characters.

my biggest worry for tog2 isn't that it won't live up to expectations (bc even a very good movie would not be able to do that. and it is looking like tog2 will not even be a very good movie.), but that it will split the already small fandom space into more factions than exist already. people who take tog2 as canon vs those who don’t. people who are halfway through fics based on tog and suddenly their whole premise is fucked by a lore drop in tog2. people who take some parts of tog2 as canon and discards others. on and on and on.

I genuinely hope that, seeing as tog2 is not likely to be good, it will be so bad that the entire fandom will go "well, that was a fun 2 hours seeing my favorite actors on screen, but I think we can all agree that was bullshit," and then pick our regular tog posting back up with the renewed excitement.

BnHA Chapter 428: Night of the Kouhai

Previously on BnHA: Well at least Spinner is sort of kind of doing okay??

Today on BnHA: I see the check that I sent to Horikoshi finally cleared.

okay first things first, you all know how it is right. I’ve never made a secret of my Kacchan bias on this blog. I promise you I did actually write a recap to 426 and 427 as well, but both of those chapters went HEAVY on the themes and drama and philosophical shit, and my reactions were kind of all over the place, and the Todoroki one in particular was like a million words wrong and it needs a shit ton of editing which I don’t know when I’ll have the spoons for

on the other hand however, a chapter like this which features class 2A cuteness and an absolutely unreasonable amount of Kacchan character development fanservice to hyperfixate on, takes absolutely no spoons at all and in fact actively recharges some of my spoons, so yeah. here we are

anyway so when we last left off Kacchan and Shouto were in terrible danger from a threat more terrifying than any they’ve ever encountered before. so I already knew this chapter was going to be great

“IIDA IS BIG AND STRONG AND AUTHORITATIVE, LET’S HIDE BEHIND HIM, HE WILL PROTECT US” everyone, I’m delighted to announce that the BnHA manga ending arc, despite having its ups and downs until this point, has officially been saved thanks to this panel right here. pack it up folks. this was officially a sweeping success. this panel brought Tomura back to life and teleported Touya’s mind back into his childhood self from roughly ten years ago time travel fix-it style. Horikoshi, hear me out, I know there are only two chapters left after this, and they’ve both already been written. but if you wanted to rewrite one of them at the last minute in order to add about a dozen more pages solely dedicated to Shinsou interrogating the rest of class 2A about Kacchan’s love life, out of what he insists is just innocent curiosity with no ulterior motives. well, I would not complain about that

anyway so yes Shinsou he is still single, for now. though I don’t really think it’s the girls you need to be worried about

meanwhile Mineta is all, “I just wanted to let all of you know MY opinion, which is that Bakugou isn’t morally upstanding enough for my delicate sensibilities.” yes you heard that right.
