PRIVATE LESSONS – Sanji x female reader
Summary: on what is supposed to be another of your private cooking lessons, you and Sanji get closer... in a very intimate way.
Pairing: Sanji x female reader.
Word count: 2k.
Warnings: pure fucking, dirty, obscene fingerfucking smut, some plot, heavy hand kink, eye contact, language (also reader thinks herself as a slut at some point), fingering, cum play(?), semi-public, praising, pet names (darling, sweetheart, good girl...).
Notes: this is just full of smut so yeah. Idk, this is my realization that I am a Sanji whore. Enjoy you sinners. And I'm sorry for any errors as English is not my main language. (I'll keep apologizing for this lol).
☕ if you like my writing, support me with a ko-fi !
Probably will make a part 2 to consumate this shit, but I can't promise I will...
GEN MASTERLIST!
Months ago, you started at the Baratie as a waitress but your biggest wish was cooking. And Sanji was there to help you with that. You had absolutely no idea how to start, lucky for you, the blonde chef of the restaurant was aware of your dreams. So you started lessons after your shift.
"Can't deny the wishes of a pretty thing like you," you remembered Sanji saying when you finally asked him to teach you. He winked and put a playful smirk on his lips.
Yes, Sanji was a flirt - but he was a flirt with everyone. So you never took personally his random comments and hits, until you started your cooking classes.
The Baratie was always closed and there was no one but Sanji and you in the kitchen. He had started with the basic stuff, like chopping vegetables and soft meat, and making easy entries and sidedishes.
There was a problem though. This was almost the fourth week you were receiving his lessons and you found out there was something distracting you a lot recently: his hands.
His beautiful, strong hands, that, in a delicate manner, would slice a fish and would convert it in the most delicious dish you ever tasted ever. You became so immersed in his hands doing little to nothing. Even if Sanji wasn't cooking, just fixing his hair or having a cigarrette, everything you could keep your focus on was his beautiful fingers, sometimes wearing pretty rings and jewels around them. And the way the veins on his big hands would appear... Gods, your mind started to wonder a lot of things and it was becoming difficult keeping your focus on the special salad you were preparing that night.
"You're doing great, love," Sanji whispered, staying right behind you and monitoring carefully your chopping like an inspector.
His sweet words were no help for you at all. With a deep breath, you finished with the last eggplant. Sanji immediately came closer and leaned behind your back, and you controled the loud gasp that was about to burst. You felt his strong body pressed against your own, and he suddenly grabbed your hand still holding the knife to start chopping a small piece of the eggplant you just finished. His arms were now sorrounding your figure as he guided softly on how you were supposed to cut it.
"Just make sure to cut them like this, see?"
All you could give was a nod. Fuck, you felt so embarrassed, hypnotized by his hands working on the must mundane activities in the whole world, grabbing firmly the knife between his fingers.
Those thick fingers you fantasized about late at night; not letting you pay attention to the important things Sanji would say to you about cooking. Those fingers you wished to have inside you right now, to lick them, to suck on them until they were completely dry... You rub your thighs together and try to keep your thoughts locked to continue with the lesson.
"Yeah, I see now. Thanks, Sanji," you were surprised you were actually able to talk.
You heard his chuckle behind you before shifting and come by your side, leaving you free of his grip and the warmth of his hands that you were already missing.
"Lets plate then."
Sanji guided you on how to place each ingredient on the bowl, making it harder for you to follow his pace. It took longer than you expected, but you were trying to keep your shit together; your skirt and shirt suddenly felt too tight on your figure and you tried to not rub your thighs, even if you wished for some friction right now.
Once the bowl was done, Sanji took the small plate with the sauce you prepared earlier and gave it a delicate taste, licking the spoon with his tongue.
Why did he look so hot just by doing anything? Was he aware of the effect he had in you lately? Was he teasing you? Or where you just hot and bothered already? No answer you had for any of those questions.
Sanji wrinkled his brows, savoring the sauce with such delicacy, and after a moment or so of thinking he looked at you.
"I think something is missing," he said.
"What? I put everything that was on the recipe for the sauce." In a swift move, you took the spoon from his hand and had a taste yourself. "Seems okay for me."
The chef tsked. "Darling, you need to taste it differently. Deeper, go further than usual."
Sanji dipped his forefinger on the sauce and brought it to your lips. With hesitation, you opened your mouth and licked the sauce from his finger, not only tasting the sauce but savouring the moment. Was he aware of how you looked at his hands? You were not going to question it. Not when you carefully wrapped your soft lips around him, closing your eyes slowly, arousal building up between your legs. His words were no help either, it was like if he was testing the waters and so were you.
You felt Sanji pulling out his finger from your mouth and you let out a soft moan. You wanted to snap yourself. He smirked, he obviously heard your pretty noise.
"Sorry..." you were ashamed but the burning desire was growing and winning over you. What a fucking slut, you thought to yourself. It didn't matter right now. You just had a taste of his fingers.
"So what'd you say?" Sanji interrupted the voice inside your head.
Your dark eyes looked intensely his charming blue ones. "I still think the taste is good."
Sanji leaned down, almost brushing your lips and looking like if he was forcing himself to not press his lips to yours right there and then. Until he did. He captured your lips in a heated and rough kiss, his tongue finding its way into your mouth and tasting the sauce and the sweetness of your plump lips. One of his hands cupped your cheek and the other pulled you closer, forcing your back to press against the counter. Now, you were trapped between his body and the surface.
A moan escaped your throat and Sanji happily swallowed it on the heated make out session you shared. He lifted you up so you were sitting on the empty side of the counter, taking shallow breaths, as he stood between your parted legs, stroking the skin of your thighs without any rush.
"I've noticed you look at my hands so attentively," he mumbled, biting your lower lip softly. You gasped, but he continued. "Why's that?"
His question left you speechless for a moment. Did he really need to ask?
"Sanji, I already licked your finger..."
His palms traced their way under your skirt, and his fingers teased your inner thighs, finding the fabric covering your wet core.
"Well, darling, doesn't that mean we can go further? Deeper?"
"Go ahead then," you mumbled, full of lust. Your skin was aching already for him and this was all you needed to feel complete. Him.
With that, his fingers rubbed you softly over your panties, pressing on the wet patch you were already making. Sanji smirked and he leaned to pay attention to the delicate skin on your neck. His lips pressed soft kisses, leaving a trail of them, until he found the sweet spot that made you melt into his touch, nibbling and sliding his tongue against your neck until he met your collarbone.
"Sanji..." the soft whimper past your lips and you held your breath, eyes closed as he hiked up your uniform skirt and puts aside the panties covering your core from him.
His name falling off your lips made his cock inside his trousers twitch, restraining himself to not fuck you right there in the counter until the only thing that was on your mind was his name and only him. Right now, he decided he would take care of you first. As you deserved it.
"So fucking wet for me, sweetheart," he groaned, forehead pressing against yours.
His fingers found your pussy, spreading your folds softly, coating them with your already dripping juices. Sanji rubbed your clit and he teased your entrance, going at an agonizing rhythm. All you wanted was for him to fuck you with his fingers. Now. You started to grind your hips, needing some more friction, knowing he would get the hint of your despair.
"Please, Sanji," you whined.
Sanji chuckled, and you felt pathetic for begging. You could tell he was enjoying your squirm. His free hand cupped the nape of your neck forcing your dark eyes to look at his own directly.
"Look at me," Sanji ordered. "Do not dare to close your eyes, darling."
You bit your lip and nodded, gripping tightly the edge of the counter.
"Good girl," he whispered with a raspy voice, and with a lustful smile on his lips. "I want to see you come undone."
And with his statement, he eased one digit inside your velvety walls. You moaned louder this time.
"Fuck, you're so ready for me," Sanji growled, noticing how obvious the ache between your thighs was. "You're perfect, darling," he cooed against your lips. His praising caused your walls to clench around him, gaining another dark smile from the blonde man.
The thrusts of his finger started in a delicate pace. Instantly, your eyes clenched, breath hitching, as he filled you up. Sanji gradually increased his pace, curling his finger to reach your deepest spot, and you felt your juices coating your thighs with his moves.
"You look at me, don't forget," Sanji whispered, his other hand now cupping your cheek. You obeyed, opening your eyes for him.
A second finger made its way inside your cunt and he pumped them harder this time. Your legs were spreading wider, moaning against his lips, dying to kiss him one more time. But you tried your hardest to mantain the deep eye contact, realizing where you were right now. In the empty kitchen of the Baratie, with the blonde chef between your legs, fucking you with his pretty fingers. Those he protected and took care of so attentively.
And now, the only place Sanji wanted to have his fingers on was inside of you. You looked flushed, sweaty and simply gorgeous, cyring and whimpering. All for him. Your pussy was throbbing and you let a rather loud and erotic moan.
"Shit, I'm so close," you cried.
"Just come for me, beautiful..."
His lips catching your swollen ones in a heated kiss. He curled up his fingers, thumb rubbing your clit softly. Your hips trying to meet the thrusts of his hand desperately, your smooth walls clenching around his digits. Sanji realized he enjoyed the control and power he had over you as you reached your heavenly climax. He loved it more than he could ever think of.
Your body trembled, and finally, you felt sweet release hitting you, walls spasming in ecstasy around his fingers. Foreheads still touching, eyes locked as he watched you come undone. Exactly like he wanted it to be.
You moaned his name under your breath over and over, filled with pleassure. Sanji felt your thighs closing and your pussy contracting around his digits. He let you catch your breath for a moment, enjoying the heat of your body. For the first time, Sanji then pulled away his forehead, remaining still between your legs, and slowly removing his fingers from your throbbing cunt, eyes looking directly to your wetness.
Still covered with your juices, Sanji used both his hands to spread your folds obscenely to get a better look at your pussyhole. Fuck, you felt so exposed to him, but you couldn't care less. You had a mindblowing orgasm just moments ago.
"Fuck-" you cried.
"So beautiful," he praised. Again, you whimpered and your hips bucked a little.
Sanji pushed a finger slowly inside you, just to gather more of your sweetness, so he could finally have a taste. He licked both fingers he used on you before, humming like he had found the best meal in days.
"So how is it?" you finally asked, teasing him.
"Sweetheart, you're delicious."
You laughed softly, realising you totally forgot about the dish you were preparing that night. "Is this included on your private lessons, Sanji?"
"Only if you want," he leaned down to share a last kiss, this time more gentle than the others.
He already knew your answer.

notes: fem!reader, angst? jealous!reader
Your other half. Your one and only. Her other half. Her one and only. That was the promise you made with Nico Robin ever since the night you stormed into her room bawling your heart out and confessing all the things you kept locked away in your heart. And thank whichever supernatural deity was watching over you that night, as Robin had patched up your heart and planted kisses all over to mend the ache and sorrow that gnawed at your core. Ever since that night, the Straw Hats started to notice how you were always holding hands with Robin, resting your head on her shoulder or lap, always choosing to be her buddy in the buddy system when they docked at a new island. Robin didn’t mind of course; she was always the one hooking your pinky with hers and leading you to the nearest cafe or bookstore to spend some peace and quiet alone while the world was in motion.
You knew Robin was a literal goddess; the way she presented herself, the tone she carried, all the little things she did, it was enough to melt your mind and exert all the blood in your body out of your nose. But you knew you weren’t the only one that felt the same and reacted the same whenever Robin ever so slightly looked at you.
“Robin-chan!” Your fingers around Robin’s hand immediately curled inwards into her delicate skin as you heard a familiar perverted chef sprint your way. You took a sharp inhale, keeping your head facing the town you would explore with Robin alone in your view only.
“Robin-chan! Would you like some of my lovely tiramisu before you go out?” Sanji held up the plate to Robin’s face, his eyes probably turning into hearts. You held back a scowl, subconsciously digging your nails into Robin’s skin to exert your anger. You and Robin had planned to visit a small cafe together; if she took the tiramisu, that meant she wouldn’t be able to eat the meal with you, and that meant you had to eat alone while Robin watched you eat. The thought alone made a low growl exit your mouth, which Robin definitely heard.
“That’s alright, Sanji.” Robin dismissed with a light hearted laugh, her hand squeezing yours tightly, pulling you back into reality as your muscles instinctively relaxed.
“But-”
“Come on, let’s go, Y/N.” Robin squeezed your hand again, and led you away, deeper into the heart of the city. You stayed silent during the entire walk, not wanting your girlfriend to know about your… possessive tendencies and thoughts. Why would she want to know about that anyways? You just wanted to put Robin in the center of your world and keep it like that. Only she got to feel your arms wrap around her body tightly and your head buried into the crook of her neck, the whispers of your worries only heard by her ears and her ears alone.
That wasn’t being possessive, right?
“Why the frown, dear?” Robin lightly chuckled, her hand going towards your face, tracing over your lips. “It does not look good on you at all.”
“I- Um…” Your eyes shot down to your shoes. Robin had pulled you to the side of the street, your back touching the brick wall behind you.
“It’s nothing.” You mumbled. “Let’s just go have lunch.”
Robin stared at your facial expression, taking a moment to note how your eyes were downcast, fingers fidgeting with the hem of your shirt. “Well-”
“Oi! Robin! Y/N!” Your fingers dug into Robin’s skin again, clenching your fists as Franky made his thick skull over to the two of you. You had planned to just pull Robin away so you wouldn’t have to endure another conversation, but it was too late.
“Before you two go make out and be all lovey dovey, wanna check out something cool I made? Only for the two of you first.” Franky flashed a cheshire cat smile. How dare he assume what you and Robin did in your own free time? That perverted cyborg, only dressing those swimming shorts like he never heard of public indecency. Despite winter approaching, you sure felt like summer was still here. You didn’t notice how tight you had dug your nails into Robin’s hand until you felt a tighter grip on your own, a wave of dread and realization washing over you as your shoulders slump.
“That’s alright, Franky.” Robin chuckled, her other actual hand coming to pat your shoulder.
“But-”
You figured Robin had shot Franky with her signature glare as the cyborg stormed off. She let out a sigh mixed with a chuckle, as you felt her eyes burn into your skull. You forced yourself to meet her eyes, a half frown half smile on your face.
“I think there’s a ramen shop nearby. Are you interested?” Robin asked.
You blinked in surprise at her nonchalance, at the sight of her curved lips. Robin gave your hand a squeeze, pulling your attention back to reality. You already had forgotten about the cafe the two of you wanted to visit when the word ‘ramen’ left Robin’s mouth. It was your favorite food after all.
But Robin wanted to go to the cafe… but she chose to go… You bit your lip, your heart sinking at the realization of what Robin was doing.
“S-Sure.” You mustered out, head hung low as Robin gladly led you to the shop she mentioned. Your mind was alternating between reality and your thoughts, lost in trying to piece together what was happening. Even as you ate your favorite food, listening to the girl of your dreams talk about all the things that interested her, you couldn’t help but feel a drill digging into your heart, made with your own feelings and actions. Even when Robin was asking you if you were alright, you despised yourself for regurgitating out an ‘I’m fine’, which turned out to be the only thing that came out of your mouth the entire time you were out other than grunts and mumbles. No, of course you weren’t fine; you just lied to the only person you called home and she most definitely knew. So you went through the entire day with your mouth shut, your body marinating with dread and guilt as you let Robin shop around, paying everything on your tab. It was the least you could do. Seeing your nail marks in her palm was enough to make your stomach churn and head light.
Things didn’t get better when you got on the Sunny too. You mainly stayed silent, watching Robin interact with the rest of the Straw Hats, tuning out Luffy’s screaming as you sat next to your girlfriend silently, nibbling on your dinner. Not like you had an appetite anyways. You excused yourself from the raucous group, trudging back to your room, the memories of your actions and the effects of them playing over in your head. You opened the door to your shared room with Robin, staring at the neatly made bed and the fluffed up pillows, a mug filled with your favorite drink on your nightstand. The sight made your heart ache more, as you picked up a pink flower petal from the bed, the corners of your eyes starting to burn. Even when you were acting like a child and being mean, she was still being sweet and kind.
Robin had arrived shortly after, curtly informing you that she was to shower. Alone. Without you. You swallowed down all sense of pride and confidence you had in being a good girlfriend, watching the door to your bathroom close as the sound of the shower turned on. So you sat on the wooden chair of your desk, your knees to your chest, too afraid to touch the perfectly made bed. Robin stepped out of the bathroom, wearing a plain white t-shirt and shorts, her hair bundled up inside a towel. Once she slipped underneath the covers was when you felt comfortable to move.
Your shoulders tensed, fear coursing through your body as you shuffled your feet over to Robin, head hung low and lips quivering, unable to make eye contact with the woman you love. How could you? You didn’t live up to her expectations. You broke the promise of being the girlfriend that would never hurt her significant other. You were… just pathetically in love with the woman that you never deserved to meet and share a bed with.
“...I’m sorry.” You croaked out, tears welling in your eyes as you trembled. “I’m sorry for hurting you and being a bad girlfriend. I never wanted to hurt you and make you give up on the chance to go to that cafe you wanted to go to just for me when I didn’t deserve it because I hurt you and I feel really bad about it and I’m sorry. I’m so sorry.”
You looked down, hands reaching over to grab your pillow. “I’ll sleep on the couch in the library…”
“Y/N.” Robin finally said, her actual hand on your wrist, as she slipped out of the blankets, standing up. Her hands cupped your face, fingers gently wiping your tears away as you trembled and sobbed like a child whose toy just broke. “Please don’t do that. That’ll just make me more upset.”
Your eye flinched at Robin’s statement, as you looked at the ground. “I’m sorry…” you whimpered. Stupid. You couldn’t even do anything to make her happy.
“Oh, darling.” Robin pressed her lips against your forehead, her arms and more wrapping around your body, pulling you closer to her chest before you could protest or complain. “We all have our days where things don’t go as planned, or you perform an action that wasn’t that good. But we are all still human. We are prone to mistakes. And that’s okay. You just had a bad day. We all have bad days. After all, we are human.” Robin brushed a strand of your hair behind your ear. “Please don’t beat yourself up for it. Come on.”
The archaeologist scooped your body up, carrying you over to the bed. She laid your body down on top of her, your head resting against her chest as her arms trapped you from moving away. Her hand brushed your hair, rubbing small circles around your scalp. The action was enough to make you numb against her body, your mind only focused on feeling the rise of her chest and the steady thudding of her heartbeat. You nuzzled your head into Robin’s chest, allowing yourself to finally melt into her touch.
“...I promise I’ll be better next time.” Your eyes met Robin’s ocean blue ones.
Robin’s lips curled into a thin smile, chuckling to herself. “I know you will.”

Why did Law break the heart of poor Chopper? 😭🥺
Did he tho? :D I assume you mean the infamous "shut up" scene at the end of Wano. Did you know this is actually not the first time Law tells Chopper to shut up? But let's start from the beginning!
"See you around, Torao!", "Shut up!". In the anime it comes off much harsher than in the manga, in which the flow is completely different, because it happens immediately after or even in same time as Law's conversation with Luffy:
Law is trying to draw the line here, they've been in an alliance, but now it's over, so they had to know this would be the result, now they're back to being enemies. But since Law kinda expects Strawhats to forget about that (he was with them in that alliance long enough to know how "uneccessarily emotional" they are most of the time, lol), he reminds them about that, making it a very "manly" and "cool" goodbye in the end.
Except, it would stay that way, if not for Chopper destroying it all with his affectionate "see you around, Torao!" because he understands they became friends, and you say that to friends when you're parting ways, right? Chopper isn't really known for being able to "read the room", so he totally missed the vibe Law was going for. In the end Law has to shut him up before Chopper goes on to say even worse emotional stuff.
(btw Kid is not having any of this, just look at his grossed out reaction there... "set sail", it's like he's trying to make them leave faster so he doesn't have to hear their sobby pretentious goodbye lol)
You might have missed it, but it wasn't the first time Law told Chopper to shut up. The very first time it happened was in Punk Hazard, on their duo mission in the lab. Law, slightly aware they might be heard or watched, insists on Chopper hiding already because they're almost at the door. He wouldn't say it in a nice way. Don't get me wrong, I believe he is rather tamely mannered, but I can't deny there are a few things he indeed is rather rude about (though definitely still tame in comparison to other pirates): never saying greetings, for example, and also never saying "please". Apparently he uses "shut up" instead now, lol. Anyway here he told Chopper to shut up because he is worried they will be spotted and he won't say "please stay in the bag" lol.
(Law doesn't say "please" anymore, not after his last request was to Vergo and he got betrayed and Cora-san suffered as the result. Law didn't say the word "please" not even once ever since.)
Chopper is actually the first out of Strawhats crew that Law kinda bonded with. Despite Law telling him to hide, they actually talk for a bit in this scene and Law is really open with him too (telling him he can't deal with Caesar on his own and that's why he needs the help of Strawhats - a rare moment of honesty and something he didn't tell anyone else, not even Luffy). In a way, you can look at their goodbye in Wano as a callback to Punk Hazard :D
We know already Law is bad with greetings (which means also saying goodbyes). The best you can get from him is silence instead of "hi" or "bye", the worst you can get is "shut up". In Law's novel we also could see Law saying goodbye to Wolf and he struggled soooo much with it. If you thought Sanji's goodbye with Zeff was awkward, Law's goodbye with Wolf is like ten times that, haha. I will use some quotes here from the end of the novel, so if you want to skip it, now would be your cue :D (you can skip to the next image from manga!)
*cough cough* yes, it's Law saying that line: "stop, you'll make me cry". Young Law is a mood, I swear. In a way you can take it as a clue, Chopper got silenced so he won't blabble out emotional monologue like Wolf up there, melting Law's heart and pretense of toughness away.
"I have to say goodbye to the locals, as well only to those who have treated me particularly well. I think that includes the doctor and Rad".
It's worth noting that he says that as well in the novel, despite the fact we never see Law saying goodbye to practically no one in the manga. Not to Strawhats, not to Kin, not to Bartolomeo, and he was indebted to them to various degrees as well (not counting Kin, that was actually reversed). Young Law could stand goodbyes slightly better than adult Law, it seems.
A tearful goodbye between Wolf and Hearts. This is how his goodbye with Strawhats could have looked like as well, I guess? But keep in mind, when Law said his goodbye to Wolf it was pretty much the same situation like when Sanji said it to Zeff. Both were indebted to their mentors and didn't know if they will ever see each other again (and if they will, then when). Novel's ending suggests Wolf and Hearts didn't meet again and after Law announced them leaving for the Grand Line, you can be sure they never had occassion to go back to North Blue ever since. This goodbye is pretty much definitive, they won't see each other for more than a decade. The casual goodbye with Strawhats might mean they will see each other sooner than not! Especially with Chopper's foreshadowing "see you around!". Though I still think Law doesn't plan on meeting them again.
Now, is Chopper's heart truly broken by Law's response? He got shocked because Chopper doesn't understand why Law told him to shut up instead of telling him "see you around" or "take care" back. But Chopper often misreads the situation and that happens even in the Strawhats crew. At Jaya, Nami told him to dig for gold, only to scold him for something she told him to do mere moments later:
Chopper is simply bad at picking up those hints or realizing when someone asks of something unreasonable that's better to be ignored. He's also quite silly and naive, and ends up taken advantage of as the result. But mostly, all those social cues are beyond his understanding, because he's a reindeer. Chopper is also very emotional, always easily touched by someone's sad story or when seeing people crying. You can say his empathy levels are really high. Perhaps, but take it with a grain of salt, Chopper thought Law is a bit sad, maybe he picked up on his emotions that Law wanted to hide so well, so he said "see you around" to make it sound like their seperation isn't going to last very long, to cheer him up, and since no one else said it, Chopper thought he should (besides he also simply likes Law, why wouldn't he like him? they're both doctors and spent quite a long time together).
It didn't end the way Chopper wanted it to end (he probably didn't cheer up Law nor did he get any nice reply back), but it's hardly the first or the last time it happened to Chopper in the story. He can handle it, he's a tough reindeer :) sadly he probably won't learn any time soon, if at all. Also, this...
Some goodbyes are harsh for the sake of the person left behind. Here Hiruruk kicks out Chopper so the reindeer won't have to watch him dying with his own eyes. He thinks it's better to part ways before Chopper gets even more attached, so it hurts him a bit less. Hiruruk knows how kind and caring Chopper is and doesn't want him to lose his heart again. Sadly the only alternative he had was to break his heart a little, hoping it will heal fast, but at least *he won't lose it* completely. Could this also be seen as a parallel to Law's goodbye with Chopper? It might be, because I think Law is totally the same type of guy who would push people away for their own sake.
(Still, the next time they meet, Law might need to apologize to Chopper, hehe. After all he must know by now that Chopper's rumble balls literally saved his life)
That's it about Chopper, but let's go back to Law for a moment. Where did he get his habit of saying "shut up"? He did not have it as a kid... well. I think the novel gives us the answer indirectly to that (no spoilers, just two short quotes):
Wonder no more, it seems he learned that from Wolf, lol. Quite fitting because Wolf taught him how to be a responsible leader/captain as well :) Wolf loved those kids, like we can see from his goodbye scene. He kept telling them "shut up" mostly because he was embarrassed and also because he didn't want to get too attached to them at first (he had some poor experiences in his life before), and he wasn't used to have people around his house all the time, living together, sharing meals etc. Last time he had it, he lost it and he became quite bitter as the result. But spending time with Law, Bepo, Penguin and Shachi changed him a bit, to the point he could tell them that heartfelt goodbye instead of harsh words.
Now, is it just a habit Law picked up from him? Or is there something more to it? For starters, he doesn't really say "shut up" to anyone besides Chopper (and once to Luffy in One Piece Red, but there is sounds almost affectionate lol). Not to Usopp who is panicking (even if it slightly irritates Law), not even to Luffy who is always noisy (he does call him idiot though, but it's always deserved lol). But he does say it to his lovely Heart Pirates when they kept nagging him about going to the New World and he tells them "to stop yapping, shut up and follow his lead". And we know how much Law loves his Hearts. If Chopper deserved to be said to "shut up" then it already shows Law puts him in same category as his Hearts and thinks fondly of him. Just like Wolf was fond of his "stupid brats" he constantly shouted at to shut up.
One last thing, because context matters a lot as well. It's possible that Law said that to Chopper in that moment because he was afraid to get too attached to the Strawhats. Is it stretching it too far? I will let you all decide that for yourselves :D
#one piece#trafalgar law#chopper#tony tony chopper#wano arc#that “shut up” line to Chopper#I will be surprised if anyone besides me put that much thought into it lmao#ask#Law and Chopper are so lovely together imo#Law with strawhats#Law and friendships

Zoro with a S/O who gets period cramps would probably be him yeeting them to Chopper and then come nap with you (because he gets good boyfriend points by taking a nap, what more could he ask for?) BUT what if he was being a real asshole? This is my brain rot. (because I have quite a few Zoro requests so he's on my mind :3)
afab!reader since it's period cramps, but NO PRONOUNS ARE USED so it's fairly gender neutral (like me lol).
TW's: period cramp pain, taking pain medicine, ooc Zoro, Zoro being an asshole
🍶 wc: 2k
I wanted it noted I'm a slut for Nami calling her friends "Honey" or "Darling" platonically when calming them down.
“Go fuck yourself, Roronoa”
Anger flooded your body, burning hot alongside the pain ravaging your lower abdomen and back. You glared harshly at your boyfriend, then flinched and held back a groan at the new wave of pain. You were shaking and trying not to cry, especially now that he pissed you off beyond belief.
“Hah? I don’t know why I pissed you off. Cmon it’s not that bad. My lover isn’t weak, now stop being dramatic. You’re interrupting my nap”
You couldn’t even fathom a retort, curled in a ball and unable to stand upright. And now you were stuck here. In the crows nest. With a boyfriend that has thoroughly pissed you off beyond belief.
You managed to crawl to the crows nest balcony, the effort making your breath heavier. You knew these cramps weren’t going to ease up without something to help, either heat or medicine, and neither were present in your current situation.
You used the last of your strength to SLAM the door shut behind you, curling up on the warm wood. Tears made their way over your face, and you held back a moan of pain.
“Shit”
You had to get down somehow. Maybe Luffy? No it’d be best to get chopper up here. Another wave of pain interrupted your train of thought, and you clenched your jaw. Your hands curled into fists, nails digging into your palms as your entire body tensed against the pain. It felt like someone was taking a spoon and carving out your uterine lining.
Slowly, you began to forcibly relax your muscles, keeping your breathing at a steady, short pace. Your eyes opened, and you sniffed. It still hurt, but Zoro was right. His lover wasn’t weak. Couldn’t be.
But he had pissed you off, and you knew just how to annoy him.
“SANJI?! CAN YOU COME HERE REAL QUICK?!” You called. You knew Zoro heard. The whole ship probably did. Soon enough, you heard Sanji enter the crows nest, bicker briefly with Zoro before you whined for him again.
“Yes you- shit are you okay?? Let’s get you to Chopper!” He picked you up easily bridal style, and you groaned as the new angle sent pain ricocheting through your abdomen. You gripped his coat, tears springing to your eyes as the pain sharpened. Your whole body tensed, and you hardly noticed Zoro’s call of your name as Sanji quickly descended.
Sanji kicked open the infirmary door, startling the poor reindeer. He quickly switched to doctor mode when he saw you cradled in the cooks arms, obviously in pain.
“What’s wrong?”
Sanji laid your gently on the bed, and you immediately curled back into a ball.
“Period cramps. Gimme medicine and heat- fuck- please!” You gasped. You breathed out, the cramp subsiding to a manageable level. Sanji immediately left, likely to heat some water for you. Chopper rummaged in his cabinets for medicine. Your cramp flared again, and you tossed your head back and arched your back before curling back into yourself.
“Here. Take this” chopper said by your head. You opened your eyes, and saw him handing you a large pill and a glass of water. You shakily uncurled yourself and managed to down the pill, collapsing with a groan back on the bed. Sanji appeared, a hot water pad in his hand. He put it by your head before leaving again. Chopper moved the water pad to your lower abdomen and you grunted out a thanks.
The door to the eating area opened again, with Sanji reappearing with a plate in hand.
“Robin and Nami said chocolate and salty snacks are the typical cravings. I also have coffee brewing to help widen the blood vessels or something. Unless you’d rather have tea?”
You shook your head, trying not to let tears escape as you huffed out your words.
“Thanks Sanji. Coffee is good. I’m sorry for bothering you two. Should be stronger”
“It’s no bother! Human menstrual cramps can be as painful as a heart attack” Chopper informed, smoothing a stray piece of hair back from your forehead. You missed Sanji blanch.
“A HEART ATTACK?!”
You couldn’t help but laugh a little, before your cramp got worse with the movement.
“I knew they hurt but I didn’t know they could be that bad! Are you okay?” Sanji fretted. He hovered over you, as if he couldn't tell if he should touch you or not. He finally offered his hand to squeeze, and you gladly took it. You smiled a little before flinching as another wave of pain twisted your innards, and you gripped his fingers in a vice.
"Obviously fuckin- shit- not. But at least you recognize they hurt" you spat, the venom in your voice directed at your boyfriend.
"... did that Marimo not believe you?" the blonde asked. You nodded, unable to voice your answer as you shook and blinked back tears. Chopper rubbed your shoulder.
"I can't believe he would treat you like that! I thought he was in love with you, but he's an absolute idiot if he's saying that" Sanji grumbled. He continued muttering colorful phrases under his breath. Chopper blinked at him, but focused back on you as you hissed in breath through your teeth, easing yourself back into the moment as your pain temporarily subsided.
"Sanji. Can you please call Nami in here? I can't quite walk yet" you said breathlessly. Damn these cramps. You groaned and let go of his fingers, seeing the imprint of your grip on the pale skin.
"Sorry" you muttered, looking at his hand as the blood flowed back.
Sanji blinked at you, following your gaze.
"Oh! Don't be! I'll go get Nami" he ran out of the room, leaving you in blissful silence with Chopper. A few minutes later, the door opened again, bringing the scent of a freshly peeled tangerine with it. You opened your eyes, gaze falling on Nami sitting by your bed. She placed a peeled tangerine on the plate Sanji had left for you. You smiled at the gesture before flinching again.
"So. Cramps?" she asked gently. You nodded. She put a warm hand on your lower back, massaging gently. You moaned at the soothing action. Tears sprung to your eyes as you thought back to how dismissive Zoro was of your pain. You feel like you should be stronger, like you should be able to handle this pain. You're dating the man who's going to become the world's greatest swordsman, who also happens to have an incredibly high pain tolerance.
"I should be stronger" you mumbled into the pillow. Nami's hand paused briefly before continuing.
"Why do you say that?"
You looked at her, eyes filled with tears from both the pain and how useless you felt.
"Zoro..." you looked down again, too ashamed to continue talking while looking into her concerned stare.
"What about him?" she urged. You sighed, unclenching your muscles as the pain faded for a moment.
"He... He said that it couldn't be nearly as bad as what he had to face in the past, and when I got mad, he didn't see why I would be, and to stop being dramatic, and that his 'love' wouldn't be so weak" you said quietly.
"Oh honey, Zoro has nothing to do with the pain you know you have. He can't feel the pain for you, and he's being a total ass about this. Here. Chocolate?" she offered a piece of the sweet treat by raising it to your mouth. You shook your head, throat burning from holding back tears and a groan as your cramp started up again. She shrugged, and popped it in her own mouth.
"Listen, stay here and take a nap. Luffy and Usopp are fishing, so they should be quiet for a little. The medicine should start kicking in soon. Okay? And it's okay to cry from the pain. It really hurts sometimes" she said quietly. You nodded, finally letting the tears fall. You heard Chopper rummaging around briefly before Nami dried your tears with a tissue.
"Get some rest, okay? I'll leave you with Chopper. And don't hesitate to ask Sanji for anything. He may be a perv, but he makes a mean chocolate cake."
You nodded, little sounds leaving you as you let yourself cry. Chopper took Nami's seat, his now human hand rubbing the same circles Nami had traced. You let his soothing touch comfort you, falling into a light sleep as the medicine began to ease your pain.
--
You finally jolted awake as you heard a loud screech and a thump from the deck, calming quickly when you heard Luffy's distant cackling and Chopper's yelling. You moaned, rolling over from facing the wall to turn your attention to the room. Your gaze landed on a steaming cup of coffee, and you inhaled the rich aroma. Sanji is an absolute blessing of a man. You sat up and plucked a piece of chocolate off the snack plate and let it melt in your mouth as you sipped the drink. You hummed in satisfaction, sipping the coffee again. You placed it back down.
"Better?"
You nearly jumped out of your skin, a short yelp echoing through the room. Your eyes finally landed on your boyfriend, leaning against the wall in the darkest corner of the room.
"Motherfucker! Don't scare me like that!" you snapped, breath heaving. Your hand clenched your shirt over your heart. Zoro didn't respond- just stared at you with his brows furrowed. You sighed, still thoroughly pissed off at him.
"Go away. I don't want to talk to you right now. Not while I'm weak" you spat, knowing the words would hurt. He flinched a little.
"You don't have to talk, but I'm not going anywhere" he said determinedly. You glared at him, but he ignored you as he took a seat next to your bed, and handed you your drink. You took it, but only because it was some damn good coffee.
"Nami gave me a lecture" he started. You snorted.
"Yeah?"
He glanced at you.
"I didn't know... no. I was being a total asshole. I shouldn't have told you those things."
You looked at him. What the hell did Nami do?
"Do I even want to know what Nami did?" you asked. Zoro grimaced.
"Between her, Robin, and Chopper's medical books, you really probably don't."
You couldn't help the evil chuckle that escaped you.
"So? Learn anything?"
Zoro sat forward, grabbing one of your hands gently, tracing circles on the back of your hand. You looked at him in surprise.
"I was so, so wrong. And I'm sorry. Trust me when I say that witch made sure I knew how much of an ass I was being. God. It feels like it's being scraped out? Or like something is twisted around? It can hurt as much as a heart attack?"
You stared at him in shock. He was never like this.
"I mean... that's a little exaggerated but sure" you said, shrugging.
"Every month!?"
You shrugged again, sipping your coffee.
"Give or take, yeah. Some cycles it isn't as bad. but 's why Sanji spoils the girls when they ask for certain things."
Zoro's forehead thudded on the mattress by your thigh as he groaned.
"Let me make it up to you."
It suddenly hit you that he was bowing. Bowing. To you.
"Woah, hey. Sit up!"
He raised himself enough to look at you. You pushed his shoulders so he was finally sitting upright.
"Look. I'm still fucking pissed that you said that, alright? But you didn't know, and now you do. I'll let you make it up to me. Did Nami and Robin tell you at all what you should do?"
He grunted with a nod. You smiled, putting your coffee down as you held out your arms for a hug.
"C'mere then. I want my back and shoulders rubbed" you said cheekily. He muttered something under his breath, and gently smacked away your arms so he could wrap you in his embrace. You smiled, face squished against his pecs. If this is how he treated you every month now... you giggled. I could get used to this.

Zoros Training Session (18+)
Zoro x female reader. NSFW DNI if you are a minor
Warning: Pet names, face fucking, swearing and unprotected sex.(This is just a fantasy, please use protection lol)
Word count: 2,584
This is my first time writing like this so please go easy on me lol. I’m just hoping at least one person can enjoy.
Today as you rode the waves on the Thousand Sunny, your surroundings seemed more peaceful than normal. Instead of his normal antics, Luffy was passed out on the deck of the ship. Ussop, Chopper and Franky all sitting gathered around for a game of cards. Nami and Robin sat in lounge chairs soaking in the sun, sipping on fruity drinks Sanji made them as he was working in the kitchen. Since he was out of sight, you figured Zoro was up training in the crows nest during his free time. Everyone was at ease, besides you.
It had been 8 months since you agreed to join Luffy’s crew. As much as you loved it, you couldn’t help but miss the little things about life before you became a pirate. Like being able to walk down the street without worrying if someone was after you due to your captains large bounty. Or going to your favorite little spot on the edge of town looking out into the sea for hours, but most of all you missed sex. It has been so long since you’ve felt someone’s body pressed up against yours, their hungry hands tracing every inch of you leaving the feeling of excitement behind.
Normally if it were any other day you would have indulged in the moment with the rest of the crew, but today other things were heavy on your mind. Out of all the people on your crew, only one man peaked your interest. Zoro. You couldn’t tell exactly what it was about him that drove you wild. It could be his determination and loyalty to his captain, his nonchalant idgaf attitude. Or maybe it came down to something more simpler than that, more primal. When it came down to his physical appearance, everything about him had you weak in your knees.
As you sit there letting your mind wander, you can’t help but think. “Would he even be interested in me?” After debating it for some time you give out a sigh and say fuck it. You get up and make your way up to the crows nest. As you make it to the door you hesitate to reach for the handle. Instead, as if you had some sort of instinct you lean forward and press your ear on the door. Expecting to hear the usual grunts and groans of his regular work out, you were more than shocked to hear him moaning. Not only was he moaning, but it was your name. “Oh Fuucckk y/n, I bet you would feel so good wrapped around my cock.” Hearing those words made your core feel hot. You back up, completely taken aback by what you just heard. A million thoughts racing through your mind but the most prominent one was “open the door”. And just as your brain thought of it, your body followed in pursuit. You open the door to find Zoro pantsless sitting on the floor against the wall stroking his hard cock. Immediately, you guys make eye contact.
“It’s about time you came in” he says with a sly grin. “Wh-what do you mean by that?” You say trying to keep eye contact and not stare at his hand wrapped around his hard dick. “Don’t play dumb with me y/n, I heard you eavesdropping outside the door”. His confession makes you beat red in the face. As you begin to try to defend your actions he stands up and walks over to you. On his way over, you can feel his eyes piercing every bit of your exposed skin. Especially keeping his attention on your large breasts squeezing into a bikini top one size to small.
As he stands in front of you, your brain renders itself useless. You can’t manage to let the words in your brain escape to your mouth. Instead you stood there staring into his eyes as you felt the wetness growing inbetween your legs. “What? No words princess?” He reaches up and grabs your jaw. Trying to think of the right thing to say, the truth slips through your mouth. “I want you Zoro, I want you buried deep inside me!” with those words Zoro didn’t hesitate. He grabbed the back of your neck pulling you into a rough sloppy kiss, navigating his tongue around yours as if he were a professional. You couldn’t help but let a little moan out with his forcefulness. He releases you from the kiss using his hands to grab each side of your head. “All you had to do was ask y/n, but just a warning. I won’t go easy on you”
Zoro picks you up with ease, placing his rough and calloused hands tightly on your ass as your legs wrapped around him. He walks you over and places you on the workout bench. His same lustful stare burning straight into your soul as you try not to squirm under him as he stands tall above you. Zoro grabs the base of his cock with one hand, and uses the other to pull at your bottom lip. “Open.” He says under his breath, sounding more like a growl. The way he was acting you didn’t dare hesitate to do what he says, you’ve never seen Zoro like this before. Zoro was normally stern, that was nothing new. But this, the way he was talking to you, the way he was acting, you couldn’t help but crave him more and more. As you part your lips for him he doesn’t give it a second thought before shoving his cock straight to the back of your throat. The feeling of his member was so warm, it was so thick you could feel his pulse. You were so busy focusing on him you didn’t realize your eyes were tearing up, or the gagging sounds you made as his cock stayed deep in your throat. “ Mmmm, Are you gonna let me fuck your pretty face y/n?” Zoro says placing his had on your cheek wiping your tears away with his thumb. You manage to release a muffled “mmmhhmmm” while trying to focus on your breathing. Zoros lustful eyes still stared down at you, this time he was taking in the beauty of your sweet mouth around his cock. The pleasure was already immense and he hasn’t even started fucking your mouth. “Fuuucckkk that’s my girl” he groans with a smirk growing on his face.
Zoro removes his hand from your face and uses it to tightly grip your hair into a makeshift ponytail. As he begins to thrust in and out of your mouth you can’t help but let tiny moans loose every time he hits the back of your throat. Your eyes begin to scan his body. Intently staring at his abs as your eyes work your way up to his muscular chest taking quick shallow breaths. You look up at his face and you feel a sense of pride seeing his head thrown back and his mouth gaping open. “OH-MY-FUCKING-GOD-Y/N” Zoro says with each thrust as he grips your hair tighter. You could tell he was close by the way he started to pick up the pace and pressure, the harder he went the more tears began to fall from your eyes. Without warning his thrust became faster and faster until he forced himself as far as he could into the back of your throat, releasing his hot sticky cum deep in your mouth with a low groan. Zoro pulls his cock out of your mouth leaving a string of his cum and your saliva stretching from your mouth to his tip. Without a word your mouth follows the string of your guys mixed fluids onto his cock. You swirl your tongue around him making sure to get every last drop.
“I never knew you were such a good girl” Zoro says with a sexy laugh as he wipes the bit of cum sitting on your chin. “I’m only a good girl for you” you barely manage to get the words out through your shaky breaths. “That’s what I like to hear, now stand up.” You stand up, you’re so close his cock presses against your stomach and you can feel the heat coming off of his body. Zoro reaches his hands around your back and unclasps your bikini top revealing your plump breasts. Staring down at you half naked he begins to mutter a few curse words under his breath.
In one swift motion, Zoro leans down, cups your breast’s and places one in his mouth. The feeling of pure ecstasy as his tongue swirls around your sensitive bud makes you cry out. “Oh Zoro! Your mouth feels so goo-“ before you could finish, Zoro reaches up and places his hand over your mouth. “You have to keep quiet princess” he says muffled while his mouth was still on your breast. You started to squirm at the anticipation of what’s going to happen next. You can feel the wetness continuing to build in between your legs as Zoro toys with your body. He begins to take his free hand, rubbing from your breast all the way down to your navel. His hands kept going back up and down but every time his hand went down, it would get a little closer to your pussy. “Please Zoro, I can’t take it anymore. I need you, please give me your cock. I - I can’t take it anymore” with that being said he releases his mouth from your breast revealing a smug look on his face. “Am I making you that crazy y/n?” He says in a teasing way as his hands travel down to the waistband on your shorts.
Zoro doesn’t hesitate, he pulls your shorts and panties down in one quick move. You kick your clothes to the side, beginning to blush as you can feel him devouring you with his eyes. “Fuck” he says heavily eyeing your now completely bare body. He leans forward, grabbing his dick at the base as he begins to squeeze it between your thighs. Zoro begins to pick up his pace, rubbing himself against your sensitive clit. You tilt your head back enjoying the pleasure that only he can give you. He sees this as an opening and leans forwards leaving little nibbles in the nape of your neck.
“Ple-please Zoro mmhhp - I need you so bad” you say between soft moans as he continues working your body, grinding against your clit in almost a teasing way. “Are you sure you can take it?” Zoro says in a cocky tone. Seeing you begging this way was is certainly an ego boost for him. He stops moving in between your thighs, you can feel tears of frustration forming in your eyes. Zoro leans down a bit licking from your collar bone to your ear, sending shivers down your spine. “Stop teasing me, please I’m begging. Just take me already” he lets out a slight chuckle at the state you are in right now. He’s never seen you so desperate before, but he really enjoyed seeing this side of you. “Ah, so needy. But I guess since my pretty girl asked so nicely I can help her out.”
Zoro lays you down on the floor and places your legs on his broad shoulders . He begins to glide his tip along the wet folds of your entrance making you whine out in anticipation. “ I love how wet you are for me” he says as he slowly glides his cock into your entrance, making sure to go little by little so you have time to adjust to his size. When he finally bottomed out inside of you, both of you couldn’t help but moan at the feeling. “Oh Zoro!” You say while biting your hand trying to keep quiet. “Damn baby girl” he says while pushing his hand on your lower stomach. “You feel how deep I am?” He finally began to thrust in and out of you, keeping a slow pace at first until he began to speed up. Every thrust going deeper than the last until his tip kissed your cervix.
You’ve never felt this good before. Yeah, sure you’ve had sex here and there, but those times were nothing like this. The pure ecstasy you feel in this moment can’t be compared to anything. With his pace quickening, the pleasure became more intense. Your core began to feel hot and tingly, and you could feel yourself tighten around him. Zoro could feel it too. He released a low groan at the sensation, then he leaned forward pinning your body in half with his hands placed pushing on the back of your thighs, he began to hit all the right spots to bring you closer to your release. “Yeahh baby- just like that” he says with a shaky breath. You could tell he was close too. “Are you gonna cum on my cock princess?” There was no way the rest of the crew couldn’t hear how he was pounding you right now. The pornographic noises leaving the two of you, the smacking sounds of his hips slamming into yours. But both of you didn’t care, all that mattered in the moment was the orgasm that was approaching you.
“Yes, Uhhh fuck baby I’m gonna cum!” You moan, now trying to grind your clit against him. Zoro notices, he lets go of one of your thighs and begins to circle your puffy clit with his thumb. This sends you over the edge. That warm knotty feeling in the pit of your stomach explodes, sending waves of pleasure all over your body as you tighten around his cock, digging your nails into his hips as his thrusts begin to become more sloppy. You could tell he was close too. “Shit y/n!” Zoro says as his shaky breath begins to quicken. “I don’t know how much more of this I can take. Let me cum inside you” his eyes stare into yours looking for confirmation. You can only manage to give a small nod as you recovered from your own release. With your approval he beings to slam as deep as he could into pushing hard against your cervix, you couldn’t help but gasp. He pulls out and pushes in one last time holding himself deep as possible as if you are pulling him in. His hot cum spills inside of you, coating your walls. The sensation makes you both shudder pleasure.
You both laid there for a moment as he remained inside of you. You could feel your juices mixed with his cum spilling out of you and all over him. The sight began to make him hard again. “You wanna go again?” You say with a small laugh as you look up at him. Zoro gives you a smile and pulls away from you. Letting everything spill out. He leans over to grab a towel he was saving for after his workout. Using it he gently cleans the mess the two of you made on yourself and the floor. Zoro sits down beside you and pulls you into him, planting a sweet kiss on your forehead. “I think we should continue this another time. That is, if you’re up for it?” He says muffled as his face is resting on the top of your head. “Oh yeah definitely, but only if you let me take charge next time”. He lets out a little laugh “Whatever you say sweet thing.”

But see the thing is -
If that was the mushroom the 20 MDs were looking for -- maybe Blackbeard went to Drum because they were researching devil fruits.
Because there is a clear distinction of science in the setup of the story - the robotic style, and the medical style. Arguably Chopper is just as advanced of a scientist as Franky is, but their knowledge has barely any overlap. And it seems like generally - medical knowledge seems maybe a bit more frequently disseminated.
I mean at least - where Queen was a top scientist in both those areas. He was competing with Judge and working with Vegapunk, but he was also fucking around with diseases. If the assumption is that he was about as good at both - Franky maybe could compete with him in the field of robotics, maybe even best him, but that's not something I would feel confident asserting one way or another without a more deep dive.
But chopper utterly FUCKED him, I mean absolutely destroyed his "super advanced" disease AND THEN SOME, in like 20 mins with his Chopperphage. I mean lbr inventing a disease isn't even half as hard as inventing a cure, and Chopper did that in a way that our world's medicine is barely starting to figure out how to do.
So say the 20 MDs were like, just about as good at medicine as Kureha and Chopper, and Chopper's a fucking BEAST at medical science probs at least on par with if not surpassing Franky in his own field (im biased bc uhh check the url. Im sorry...i own up to it at least lol) and Franky's keeping up with Vegapunk enough to be using his ideas and inventions. So the 20 MDs are probably doing some crazy stuff.
"So who cares? I thought Vegapunk was doing all the most advanced devil fruit stuff?"
Yes...in the realm of robotics. What about the medical science realm?
Why was Blackbeard on Drum Island? Why was he there immediately after getting the dark dark fruit, with Ace on his tail? It was just a couple of months before the strawhats land. Then they grab chopper and carry on, and meet up with Ace in Alabasta a few days later.
A few days after that, Ace catches up to Blackbeard - who is already planning to capture Luffy and turn him in so he can become a warlord.
And I'm starting to understand what the fuck Wapol is doing back in the story, why his Wapometal has been interwoven so much throughout the story.
Wapol specialized in consuming two things, and then combining them without destroying either, making the resultant thing a stronger, more durable, more versatile combination of both things. Using his devil fruit.
And say his team of 20 highly expert scientists were furiously dedicated to a single focus: devil fruits; specifically one that could "cure all diseases", which Kureha helps us understand is only possible by being a doctor good enough to be able to know *many* different skills and be able to apply them as needed; and say these doctors got a chance to study how Wapol's fruit worked. And say they used that chance to see if there was a way to combine devil fruits - to give someone versatile skills to use when needed.
And say someone stole that research, as of yet untested, and tried it out on themself. What was it Shiryu said at Marineford while Blackbeard was under that cloth with Whitebeard's body? "What happens if this doesn't work? Do we disband?"
And I mean. Why is Wapol where he is right now? He's literally in the PERFECT narrative location to be able to give us exposition on all of this, I mean he's literally in big news Morgan's blimp with fuckin vivi. Cmon. His presence is BEGGING to be asked about it. An accidental overhearing some news about BB and a like "oh oough that guy that stole my devil fruit combo research >:(" from Wapol and then a "HE FUCKING WHAT?? YOUR FUCKING WHAT??????" from literally anyone in proximity and we're off to the fucking races, just SAYING
And what was it Luffy to Sanji said while carrying Nami up the mountain? "I heard at a bar in my hometown that people from snowy places don't sleep". Obviously Teach was rumored not to sleep since at least that time when Oden joined the Roger pirates. But Hiriluk saw his cherry tree around the time of the God Valley incident, so I don't think it's impossible that there was some sort of connection there.
Idk man I was just tossing jokes out abt this arc but I'm buggin out about drum arc more and more every time I think about it or watch it lmfao
#i mean ik oda wasnt planning to have the series be more than like 5 years so i do think theres probs some heavy#like foreshadowing kinda frontloaded into some of these early arcs in ways ppl dont expect#idk sometimes i feel like people expect authors not to plan literally anything#ppl get SOOOOO shocked if something from like ep. 1 comes up as having been foreshadowing for ep 500#like yeah i mean. people do plan out how their stories are gonna end before they even start em sometimes#lotsa authors think NOT doing that is bad writing#cause ya get stuff like Tanis otherwise. LEST WE FUCKIN FORGET :'|#meta tag

Summary: Zoro really shouldn’t agree to be Nami’s drinking partner if he wanted to keep their friendship from getting... Complicated.
__________________________________________
The moon was floating high in the night sky when Nami wandered onto the deck, unable to sleep even after a few hours of sketching.
She wanted company – specifically, she wanted the company of the crew’s resident alcoholic. It only took a few minutes to find him on the lawn deck with his back against a tree and his eye closed. ‘How typical.’
Nami smiled a small, excited smile as she strode over to him and squatted between his parted legs. An unconscious sigh left her nose as she swept her gaze up and down his face. She caught herself thinking, ‘He really is easy on the eyes isn’t he.’ ....again.
Who was she kidding? She’d been thinking the same thing every time she looked his way lately.
Two years ago she’d been able to keep the immature crush she had on him locked tightly away but somehow - it had gotten out and was slowly consuming her entire being.
Nami hoped he hadn’t noticed how often she invited him to drink with her because she didn’t think she could handle being rejected. So she settled for spending time alone with him whenever and however she could.
“Hey, moss-head,” the navigator said finally, leaning in to squint at him, “Are you asleep?”
He had literally just settled down for a nice cat nap when the navigator appeared suddenly to interrupt him. ‘Damn. What the hell did she want now?’
Instead of answering, Zoro chose to ignore her and pretend like he was deep asleep. ‘Why won’t she go bother someone else?’
Nami started prodding his cheek with one finger to rouse him if he really was sleeping, ”Zorooo wake up, I wanna drink,” she whined and his eyelid opened instantly.
‘Why’s she so damn pretty..’ was the first thought he had when he realized that she was a lot closer than he’d anticipated.
He mentally chastised himself after, trying to remind his id that Nami had never once indicated that she wanted to be anything other than friends and he should respect that.
But… There was no harm in looking from time to time was there? And she was pretty. She’d always been... ‘Oh for fuck’s sake, now he sounded like Sanji. He needed to get a grip.’
“Helloooooo,” Nami waved her hand in Zoro’s face until he snapped back to reality and snatched her wrist up, pulling it away. He scowled but it wasn’t deep, and now he was refusing to look her in the eye. “What was that about, huh Zoro?”
“Nothing.” The swordsman replied perhaps a little too quickly to avoid suspicion, “Thought I heard a noise, doesn’t matter – oi, didn’t you want to do something?”
He couldn’t remember what exactly it was. He’d been so distracted by the way her bangs framed her face and sometimes got caught in her eyelashes—’Damnit! He was doing it again.’
Nami smirked again but didn’t press the subject anymore. She’d do that later once they started drinking. “Weren’t you listening to me? You’re so rude, maybe I should find someone else to share my booze with.”
Was it a good idea to go drink with Nami when he kept catching himself thinking about feelings that he’d been suppressing for the last two years? Probably not…
But he couldn’t just decline an opportunity to get buzzed. ‘And... Maybe he wanted to get buzzed with Nami, specifically.’
Zoro scoffed, mostly at himself. “Quit playing games, damnit, do you want me to drink with you or not?”
“You’re so stubborn,” The navigator teased with a pleased smile that made his heart beat unevenly, “I could care less if you join me, but you’re not allowed to come unless you say you’ll be nice.”
“Nami. I am older than you, quit treating me like a fucking child or I swear-”
“That’s no way to talk to a lady who’s getting you drunk for free, Roronoa Zoro. If you can’t be nice then I’ll just add the cost of everything you drink to your debt and-”
Zoro didn’t have time to ruminate over the way hearing her say his full name made him shiver because he had to shut her up before she did charge him.
“Okay, okay. I’ll be... nice.” He hissed through gritted teeth and her answering giggle made his pulse flutter. He had to fight to keep himself from smiling. ‘What the hell was going on with him tonight? Was he sick?’
“Good boy,” she turned and started walking towards the Sunny’s aquarium bar, glancing back over her shoulder to make sure he was coming.
“Don’t push your luck, woman.” Zoro snarled to mask his confusion over the sudden need to touch her that he felt scratching at the back of his head. He really shouldn’t agree to be Nami’s drinking partner if he wanted to keep their friendship from getting... Complicated.
He knew it, but he followed her up the stairs all the same.
* * *
“Why d’you always want to drink with me anyway, witch?” Skeptical of her intentions, his narrowed eye fixed itself on Nami as she approached him holding two maroon tinted bottles. She offered one to him and he accepted it – but he didn’t let his guard down yet.
Zoro lowered his gaze to check the label out, whistling long and low when he read 23% alcohol per volume. A couple puzzle pieces clicked together in his head ‘Oh, that’s why. Because if she tried to drink this with anyone else they’d pass out after two glasses.’
“Would you believe that I just like hanging out with you?” Though her tone was teasing she was actually being genuine, she had a lot of fun with him whenever they went out.
“No–“ He paused when Nami kicked him in the shin hard enough to make him swear. Reaching down with his free hand he rubbed the sore patch of skin and glared daggers at his crewmate. “What the fuck was that for?!”
“You said you’d be nice, Zoro! So be nice or I’ll charge you a hundred thousand beris for that bottle.” Nami uncorked hers but waited to hand the corkscrew over until he behaved himself. The look he was giving her would probably frighten a small child but she didn’t flinch.
‘This was his choice.’ He reminded himself. Of his own free will he chose to get drunk with Nami instead of napping, and that meant dealing with her bossiness no matter how much he loathed it. ‘Sometimes he just wanted to grab her by the shoulders and make her shut up, there were better things her mouth could be doing anyway-‘
“Why do you keep staring at me like that, do I have a zit or something?”
Zoro sat up so fast that he banged his shoulder on the underside of the countertop. ‘What the hell was that? What the hell was wrong with him?’ He hadn’t even opened the damn bottle and he was already making himself look like an idiot.
“No,” the swordsman grumbled, wracking his brain for a believable excuse, “Just thinking about how I’ll owe you money even after I’m dead if you keep charging me for bullshit.” That made her laugh and Zoro cursed himself for how much he liked hearing it. “Don’t see how it’s funny for me, witch.”
Nami let him take the corkscrew from her, eyes crinkled with amusement while he opened his bottle. “You’ll just have to stay alive until you pay me back in full, I guess!” She trilled before taking a long, heavy drink from hers.
“Yeah?” Zoro snorted before mimicking her and downing about half of the wine in the container. It tasted disgusting, which he’d expected, but that didn’t make the bitter aftertaste any less miserable. His nose wrinkled slightly as he set the bottle down. “I bet even if I did try to pay you off you’d find a way to charge me more.”
“You make me sound so heartless,” the navigator batted her eyelashes innocently, pretending to look hurt, “Why would I ever do such a thing?”
“Hah.” He scoffed before chugging some more wine and failing to keep track of how much he was drinking each time. “Because you want to keep me on a leash since I don’t throw myself at you like that dumbass cook.”
An impish smirk crawled it’s way onto Nami’s face that made him immediately regret what he’d just said. ‘Fuck. Damnit!’
“So…” She began slowly, savoring every second that the swordsman spent avoiding direct eye contact with her, “You admit that you are one of my lap dogs?”
A muscle in his jaw flexed and he stopped drinking for one second to grunt, “That’s not what I said.”
“That’s what I heard!” Chimed Nami as she rose from her seat, stepping over to Zoro and tracing a finger under his jaw while he drained the last few drops of liquid. “I should get you a collar, so people know who to bring you to when you get lost.”
Normally he would have snapped at her for poking fun at his sense, or lack thereof, direction but he wasn’t listening to her. She’d come close enough for him to pick up her scent and maybe it was the alcohol intensifying his feelings, but it was suffocating him in a good way.
He loved the way she smelled. Tangerines from her soaps mixed with salty seawater and traces of sunscreen. A hint of orange blossom, but only when she was close to him like this.
Zoro inhaled deeply through his nose and, without realizing it, his expression melted into something affectionate and gentle. ‘In two years she’d changed in so many different ways… but she still smelled the same. She still smelled like home.’
* * *
“What are you thinking about, Zoro?” Her voice void of it’s usual teasing tone, Nami’s curiosity was piqued by his sudden shift in demeanor. He looked soft and peaceful, like he didn’t have anything to worry about. She wanted to know why.
‘Ah, fuck.’ What was he supposed to tell her? That he was thinking about how good she smelled? ‘Yeah right.’ Zoro was quiet for a while, mulling over his words until he came up with an explanation that didn’t sound as creepy – but also wasn’t a lie.
“I guess..” he finally murmured, his gaze shifting to meet hers, “It’s just been a while and… I was thinking about how nice it feels to be back here, with everyone…” a brief pause then he added, “I missed you guys.” ‘Look at him being all gushy and emotional, this wine really was something else.’ Zoro reached to brush his fingertips by her temple, catching a stray lock of hair and tucking it behind her ear, “I missed you.”
When had Zoro ever been this honest with her about the way he felt? Never was the answer, but now he seemed to trust her well enough to know she wouldn’t spill his secrets. Nami took his face in both of her hands, surprising him, and pulled his head down so she could kiss his forehead. “I missed you too, Zoro.”
Something about hearing her say that she’d missed him too broke a dam in his chest that he’d been trying to keep together for two years. Hormoness flooded through his bloodstream quicker than Zoro could even process them and before he knew it he was practically throwing his arms around Nami’s waist and crushing her against his chest.
“Nami—” he pressed his face into her neck to hide the tears that he couldn’t hold back anymore. Sober he might have cared about losing it like this around her but she was here and… ‘He just – needed to hold her.’ Hold her and smell her and feel how real she was because she had almost been taken from him.
‘He’d barely begun to process what he had been through on Thriller Bark when they were attacked in Sabaody. If he tried to think back on it his memories would get hazy and his bones would ache from their very cores. He knew what had happened but it’s like his brain was protecting him from understanding how close to death he’d come. Then – to be torn away from the people he loved with all of his heart? Who he had just nearly killed himself to protect?
It had ripped him apart and rubbed salt into every wound. And it fucking hurt. The same kind of pain he felt when he saw Kuina dead on the floor of their dojo. He was scared, he was furious, he was devastated – all over again but this time it was so much worse. So, so much worse.
That was why he had trained so hard over the last two years. Because he couldn’t bear the grief that came with loving them so deeply – so he got stronger. And stronger. And stronger. No matter the cost to his body, he would become powerful enough to defeat anyone who crossed them. Then… He would never have to feel the agony that he did when he first woke up on Kuraigana Island ever again.
Taking on all of Luffy’s suffering in Thriller Bark had been the most physically painful experience of his entire life – but that was nothing compared to how much it hurt to think that his friends were gone forever, that he hadn’t been able to protect them.
Training made it easy not to think about what had happened -- but now he was home, and they were safe - and he was realizing just how close he’d come to losing all of them. At once. And he could do nothing to stop it.’
Startled by him grabbing her, Nami was prepared to give the pirate a good smack if he was getting handsy but… He started trembling. ‘Was he not feeling well?’ Her mouth opened to form the question then stopped. His breathing hitched while his entire body jerked and she realized…
‘Zoro was crying.’
Roronoa Zoro, who prided himself on his strength, was sobbing wretchedly into her neck. ‘He must have been holding this in since Sabaody.’ Nami’s heart ached for him and his stupid pride that forced him to torture himself instead of letting him cry like he needed to. She’d been expecting him to crash at some point, how couldn’t he? Even someone as strong as Zoro was still a human being.
One of her arms cradled his head while the other wound round his shoulders, her fingers combing gently through his hair. “Oh you sweet, sweet boy…” she spoke in the tone that Bellemere used to use when Nami and Nojiko were frightened by a passing thunderstorm. It always calmed her, maybe it would calm Zoro, too.
‘Quit fucking crying you loser you’re supposed to be a man.’ But he couldn’t, he literally could not stop because he was trying to. “I wasn’t strong enough,” his voice quivered at the edges and he hated it. ‘He was definitely never going to drink this kind of wine again ever. Not if it turned him into a blubbering mess like this every time.’
“Shhh, no. No. Don’t you dare try to blame yourself for what happened. Hey, look at me.” Nami urged his head off her shoulder and cupped his face in both of her palms, “None of us were strong enough, okay? Not even Luffy.” Each tear that fell she tenderly swept away with the pad of her thumb. The corner of her mouth turned up as she assured him, “But we are strong enough now. We can take care of each other. Nothing is ever going to tear us apart again, Zoro.”
‘She was right. Of course, she was right. He needed to have faith in his crewmates and his captain. They could do anything as long as they had each other.’ His breathing slowly evened out as he focused on anchoring himself back to reality. He wasn’t in Sabaody or Kuraigana – he was on the Sunny. In the bar, with Nami who had grown so much since he last saw her. The look in his eye softened like it had before his breakdown.
“You’re staring at me again, Zoro.” The navigator teased, her hands falling to rest on his shoulders. He hadn’t let go of her yet but she didn’t mind, he could hold on to her for as long as he needed.
A ghost of his usual smirk passed across his face. “Sorry, Nami…” Zoro took a little risk by leaning in to press a chaste but lingering kiss to her cheek, then traced a path with the edge of his nose to her ear, murmuring, “Wine makes me a little… Messy.”

Hi! How are you? I hope it's all well! (≡^∇^≡) I'd like to make a request, tell me if it's something wrong. Can I ask for a Sanji x Reader in which he's arguing with his s/o and then they don't speak for a couple of days? And after that they make peace? Feel free to ignore my request if it's too strange or complicated and sorry for my bad english!
Of course! Btw, your request is clear and your English is great ^_^ 💐 (Also I’m well, thank you for asking!)
Arguing and Forgiveness
<scenario>
<Sanji x GN!reader>
<~700 words>
Getting into fights or arguing with Sanji wasn’t exactly normal for you two. Sanji loved you and there was usually no reason to fight. Even if there was, he did his best to talk it through and solve it. But this certain problem didn’t end up like that. As much as you loved Sanji, you could only take so much of his flirty behavior towards random women. It made you feel insecure and unworthy of his time.
It happened while you two were out buying food for the crew when he started flirting with one of the women at the market. You tried to ignore all of your feelings by staring down the produce, until you saw the lady kiss Sanji on the cheek from the corner of your eye. That was the final straw for you, tossing the bag of food at Sanji before storming off to the ship. Your throat tight and vision blurry with unshed tears. You heard him call after you but you made sure to leave him behind, skillfully weaving through the crowds of people.
“Y/N, Wait up! What's wrong?!”
As you got closer to the ship, you still heard Sanji running and calling out to you. How could he act like that- like he cared? Especially when he just let some random broad kiss him like that. The desperate cries of your name only got louder as you slammed the door to your room. You couldn’t take much more before you blew up at him.
He tried knocking, he wanted to fix whatever was wrong. It was too bad he was too blind to see what was wrong. Your only response was a bitter silence. Fat tears slid down your face as the scene kept replaying in your mind. You shoved your head into your pillow. Getting some shuteye was always a good idea.
Sanji couldn’t have felt worse, he made his s/o cry. He thought about what could have caused them to suddenly act like that. He quickly came to the realization that it was because of the lady that kissed him. If he felt awful before, it was nothing to compare to his current feelings. He felt like such an idiot, he understood why you had suddenly behaved like that.
Regardless, dinner still needed to be made. He quickly got to chopping vegetables and cooking. He made sure to make Y/N an extra-large serving as some sort of half-assed apology. When he didn’t see you at the dining table, his heart sunk. He made his way to your room with the food, hoping you would be willing to talk. When you didn’t even answer the door, the severity of his mistake sunk in.
He left the food by the door, hoping that giving you some space was the right answer. He went back out to the rest of the crew, making sure to collect empty plates from the table. He almost felt fine until his captain decided to speak up.
“Oi, Sanji, where’s Y/N?” His face immediately fell.
“Sleeping, I think.” He couldn’t bear to tell him what had gone down at the market.
Luffy nodded and walked off to do his own thing. When Sanji finished the dishes, he stepped out onto the deck and chain-smoked late into the night. Everyone wondered what was going on but nobody bothered to comment on it.
The two of you danced around each other for 3 days. Everyone on the crew could sense the tension between you two and did everything in their power to try to push one to talk to the other. Finally, Sanji gave in and cornered you.
“Y/N, please, I’m sorry! I know what I let that lady do was wrong and I apologize! Can we please make up!” It was like a weight had been lifted from your heart.
You hesitantly agreed. “I’m sorry as well, how I acted obviously didn’t solve anything.”
Sanji wanted to cry out of relief, and he almost did. “Thank you Y/N, I hope you know that I truly love you.”
A small grin appeared on your face at that. “Of course I know that now come here.”
You kissed him better than any lady at the market ever could.
Phew! That was a long one! Sorry if the pacing was awkward, I’m trying to make my stories longer. Also sorry for the wait! I actually fell asleep writing this ( ´ ▽ `💧) Long day at school lol.

Together With Fruit Ch. 9 (Snippet)
Omgomgomg I actually finished something omg
Obviously this is not the full chapter, but it’s a pretty major chunk of it, and because I’m just so proud of myself and happy that I actually got something I set out to write forever ago FINISHED, I am posting this snippet here as a one-shot (it’s...more than a snippet really, it’s like 4000+ words, and it’s mostly unedited so...ye’ve been warned lol)
Word Count: 4199 (yikes)
Enjoy! Hopefully I’ll have the rest of the chapter finished within the next week or so!
“We’re finally nearing the Grand Line…” Nami muttered, pointing at a spot on the map. “It looks like the only way into it is through Reverse Mountain here.”
“Reverse Mountain?” Hazel murmured, peering over the girl’s shoulder at the point where the seas intersect.
“What a pain. Can’t we just sail straight through it?” Zoro groaned, glaring from where he sat leaning against the rail. Sanji shook his head.
“Nope, from what the geezer told me, that’s the only way boats can enter.”
“How come?” Usopp asked.
“Cause it’s supposedly dangerous.”
“But how come?!”
“I don’t know any more than that!” Sanji yelled, glaring at the sniper.
“Boys, please…” Hazel scolded, trying to stop any fights before they could occur.
“The reason for that is-”
“Alright! I got it!” Luffy interrupted Nami, pointing at the map. “Then let’s head straight into it!”
“Are you even paying attention?!”
“But it sounds fun!” Luffy insisted, grin never wavering. “Plus it’d feel way better going straight into it!”
“Fun or not, I’d like to actually make it to the Grand Line before we die,” Hazel told him, side-eyeing her brother’s enthusiasm. Nami shared the sentiment.
“Talking to you makes me feel like I’m gonna go crazy…” the navigator whined, palm to her forehead in exasperation. Luffy soldiered on, ignoring the women’s concerns.
“Anyways, let’s stop at an island first and get meat! Meat! Meat!” Nami reached a finger out to point at a spot on the map, and Luffy and Hazel both peered closer at the paper.
“There’s a famous city on this island...Loguetown.”
“Loguetown?” Luffy asked, puzzled look on his face as he tried to think. “What? Is it famous for its meat?”
“Also known as the city of the beginning and the end…” Zoro chimed in, thoughtful look on his face. “I’m pretty sure I’ve heard that before.”
“It’s where Gold Roger, the former Pirate King, was born,” Hazel supplied, appearing somber, “and where he was executed.”
“The town where the King of the Pirates died...” Even Luffy’s voice was tame, contemplation clear in his eyes. Nami swung her gaze to meet his, sly smile finding its way across her cheeks.
“Wanna go?”
“Yeah! I wanna see it!” As he spoke, his voice grew more excited, though it never lost its reverence. “I wanna see the town where the man who got the One Piece - everything this world has to offer - was born and then died!” Luffy stood up, grin fixed firmly back in place. “Nami! Set sail for Loguetown!”
As the crew scrambled to set their course, Hazel smiled at her brother’s excitement, though she didn’t share the enthusiasm. She didn’t really harbor any opinions on the former Pirate King, good or bad; there just wasn’t enough information available on who the man truly was. She had asked her grandfather once, considering what she knew about his connection to Ace, but after hours of pestering the only thing he’d told her was “don’t believe everything you hear”. Other than that cryptic statement, she knew about as much as anyone else: he was born in Loguetown, he circumnavigated the entire world, then turned himself in (to her grandfather, no less), and was executed in his hometown. For someone who was so famous, you’d think there’d be more to know about him.
Hazel looked down at the notebook in her hand, blank since Shells Town except for the notes she’d taken. She wasn’t going to let Luffy fall into that same level of anonymity. Sure, the boy couldn’t care less about the fame; his views on being the Pirate King weren’t shared by most other pirates, though she found his ideals to be more admirable. What she really didn’t want to happen, though, was for her baby brother’s name to be smeared by the media, with nothing to counteract it.
Which meant she had a lot of work to do.
“Well, before we get to Loguetown, I have to get to work. Which means I’m shutting myself in my room until I’ve finished writing about our adventure so far!” Hazel stated for all to hear. She ignored the odd looks sent her way. “So no one bug me, ok?” When she’d received satisfactory nods, Hazel made her way to the girls’ room, shut the door, and plopped herself down at the writing desk. She ripped out her pages of notes so she could refer to them easily as she wrote, then opened to a blank page, her pencil hovering above the paper.
An hour later and the page was still blank.
Hazel’s pencil had moved, at least. It’d been set on the desk, balanced on her nose (a failure on her part, but no one could see it so she wasn’t too pressed), twirled between her fingers, tucked behind her ear as she stretched in her chair (and changed position at least three times; currently she had her feet on the back of the chair with her head leaning on the desk). She’d doodled little pictures on her note pages; tiny flowers and crude renditions of her crewmates (note to self: hide these so Nami doesn’t see). There’s a reason she hadn’t decided to illustrate this book.
Another hour later and her legs hurt from how much she’d been bouncing them. The page remained blank, her mind void of ideas, and her eyes were fixed on the picture frame hanging on the far wall. Maybe some food would help? She didn’t think she ate much at breakfast…
As Hazel made her way on deck, she couldn’t help but smile at the sight that greeted her. Nami was lounging in the sun on the top deck, being served some fancy drink from their newest member. Zoro was, surprise, napping beneath the mast, his swords propped in his lap. Luffy sat on the other side of the ship, watching Usopp practice with his slingshot. Oh, that could be fun!
“Whatcha guys doin’?” Hazel asked, sneaking up behind the sniper, causing Luffy to laugh at the boy’s frightful shriek. “Oops! Sorry, Usopp!” He just glared at her in return.
“Usopp’s practicing his slingshot! See? We set up some targets against the other side of the deck, he’s really good!”
“Well, you see Luffy, I’ve been using a slingshot for at least 25 years,” Usopp boasted, ignoring the fact that he was only 17. “Which of course makes me an expert sniper!”
“25 years, huh?” Hazel snarked. “Well, mister “expert”, whaddaya say to a little contest? The closer to a bullseye gets you more points. Whoever gets the most points wins.”
“Uhh, ok, Hazel. But where are you gonna get a slingshot?” Hazel just pointed to Luffy. Specifically his arms. “Hey, now, wait a minute! You can’t use him!”
“Why not?” Hazel and Luffy asked, both with blank looks on their faces. The sniper spluttered.
“Because-! He’s not-! And you-!”
“Ok, look - we’re not going for power here, just accuracy, so it’ll still be a fair contest. And we’ll use the same ammo, ok?” She left no room for him to argue back, immediately grabbing one of the pellets from his hand and positioning her brother. Usopp rolled his eyes behind her, but sidled up next to the two, aiming his own slingshot at the first target.
“Ready...aim...fire!” Usopp let the pellet fly, smacking the target right in the center.
“Hey, nice job Usopp! But I’m gonna tie it up right here!” Hazel ribbed, tying Luffy’s fingers together to form a sling. She pulled them back, tongue poking out between her teeth as she aimed carefully. When she felt confident in her position she nodded, waiting for Usopp to give the signal, and then let go.
The target shattered to pieces.
“Oh fuck-!”
“WHAT ARE YOU THREE DOING?!” Nami’s shrill voice called, causing all three to wince.
“Luffy did it!” Hazel immediately yelled while Usopp checked the ship for damage.
“No I didn’t!”
“Now, Luffy, you know you shouldn’t lie.”
“I’m not-!”
“ENOUGH!” Nami yelled again, interrupting the siblings. “I don’t care who did it, you’re just lucky the ship didn’t get damaged! You and you-” she pointed to Usopp and Luffy “-clean this up! And you!” Nami pointed at Hazel, making the older woman feel suddenly small. “You’re supposed to be writing right now! Not breaking things!”
“Well...you see...the thing is…” Hazel trailed off as Nami continued to glare at her. Huh. She didn’t like being on the receiving end of this. “I was hungry…?”
“Then ask Sanji-kun for a snack and get back to work. You told us not to bother you and we’re listening, take advantage of that!” At Hazel’s huff Nami smiled. “If you’d like, you can sit in the tangerine grove. I find it very relaxing when I need to focus.”
“Hmm...a change of scenery may be helpful. Thanks, Nami,” Hazel smiled, rolling her neck. “I better go bug Sanji.” But Nami held up a hand to stop her.
“Nope! You go sit, I’ll get it. I don’t want you to get distracted again.” The orange-haired girl walked away without another word, and Hazel was forced at that point to just listen to her. She made her way to the upper deck, finding a nice spot under the trees to nestle in. She reopened her notebook to the still blank page, and tapped her pencil against her chin as she tried to focus. The breeze up here was nice, as well as the sounds of her crewmates (Luffy and Usopp had made a game out of cleaning up her mess). The smell of tangerines wafted over her, muddying her senses. One of her curls was tickling her forehead.
She’d made zero headway by the time Sanji appeared with a snack.
“Hazel-chwan!~ I’ve brought you a plate of delicious sandwiches, and a fresh glass of cabernet sauvignon,” the man said, brandishing a platter on one hand and a glass of deep red liquid in the other. She looked to the glass curiously. Despite having practically lived in a bar half her life, she’d never actually tried wine. Her alcohol tended to be of a rougher variety.
“Oh, yeah, alcohol. That’ll help,” Hazel muttered, hoping Sanji didn’t think her rude. For all she knew, it would get the creative juices flowing, so to speak. “Thank you, Sanji.” She smiled at the cook, his feet practically floating off the ground in happiness. He turned to leave her, and Hazel tentatively took a sip of the wine...only to immediately cringe when the bitter liquid hit her tongue. She glanced around in panic, hoping the blond didn’t see, and snuck the glass behind her back, hidden under the trees. “Ooh! Sanji, wait up!” she called, wine forgotten as she grabbed her plate and ran after him.
“Yes, my love?” Sanji asked, twirling around to gaze at her through heart-shaped eyes.
“I just realized that I never asked about what happened at the Baratie! After we left?” The cook’s expression had switched to confusion at her question. “In fact,” she continued, following him into the galley, “I don’t actually know that much about you. Tell me, what’s your dream? Your motivation? Your tragic backstory? Spare me no detail!”
For the first time since they’d met, Sanji wasn’t looking at her with adoration. In fact, he almost looked a little scared. His eyes darted around for half a second while she pulled out her best pout, gray eyes shining like a puppy begging for table scraps. Later, she’d chide herself for being so mean. After all, she used to practically torture Ace with that expression. But for now, she needed answers.
“Well…” Sanji started, pulling himself together before all the blood rushed out of his nose. “I am merely a humble sea cook, mademoiselle. I fought valiantly for my former home, and for the chance to gaze upon your lovely visage once again.” He flourished into a low bow.
“Uh huh,” Hazel chuckled, an amused smile on her face as she raised a brow. “Definitely humble.” Sanji rose back to standing, an easy grin in place at their shared humor. “Come on, lover boy. Sit with me awhile and tell me a story.”
The two sat and talked for a time, Hazel’s pencil scratching across the pages of her notebook as Sanji divulged all the details he felt comfortable sharing: how Luffy had bartered with Zeff for his freedom, the way hed swatted projectiles with a single kick. She had a feeling he may’ve been embellishing his actions a bit, but having seen the way he’d toppled part of a building at Arlong Park, she knew it wasn’t all bluster.
He told her of Pearl, the man who’d covered himself in armor, only to lose his mind (and catch fire, apparently) at the first drop of blood. How Gin, the man he’d helped, had taken the old man hostage, and how he’d been willing to die to save his mentor’s dream. Hazel filed away that note for later, planning to ask about the clear devotion Sanji had for the old man, even if the blond tried to hide it behind snark.
She tried not to laugh when Sanji told her Luffy destroyed part of the ship. From what he was telling her, it was actually a brilliant stroke on Luffy’s part, and definitely contributed to Sanji’s outlook on the situation; but the way the blond’s curly brow furrowed over his eyes at the memory was, in her opinion, hilarious.
“So, wait,” Hazel started, pausing Sanji’s tale of his fight with Gin. “How did you come to the Baratie in the first place? Zeff isn’t your father, is he? Why so devoted to preserving his dream?”
Discomfort crossed the cook’s face, as it had earlier, but whether it was his dedication to please the woman in front of him, or because he’d already come this far, he gifted her with the reason. “He saved my life,” was the simple answer. The follow-up nearly brought tears to her eyes.
Hazel reached across the table, covering his hand with her own, and she sent him a soft smile. A light blush dusted his cheeks, and she allowed him to turn away to light a cigarette; she even grabbed the ashtray off the back shelf for him.
Just as they were about to continue, the door to the galley swung open, a rubbery body bouncing its way inside. “Sanji!! Food!” Luffy yelled, head turning frantically before his eyes finally settled on the cook.
“You just ate, you damn animal!” The cook scolded, and the somber mood was broken as Hazel burst into laughter.
“But I’m hungry! Food!”
“I’m busy!” Hazel took that moment to step in.
“It’s alright, Sanji. I can get the rest from you later. If you don’t start dinner soon, we may not have a ship to sail on anymore,” she laughed, drawing Luffy’s attention. The boy leaped onto the bench in front of her, taking Sanji’s place, and glancing at the notebook for a second without reading.
“Whatcha talkin’ about? Whaddaya need Sanji for?”
“He was telling me about your fight with Don Krieg, since I missed it.”
“Oh! I can tell you! There was a boom! And a woosh! And then I went ‘Gum-Gum Bazooka’! And then there was poison gas, but we’re fine, and then everything went boom boom boom boom! And then I got poked a lot! And then-” Hazel tuned out as her brother continued telling her all about the fight with as little detail as possible. Sanji shot her a confounded look over their captain’s shoulder, and the girl replied with a nonchalant shrug. When Luffy finally finished, he looked to his sister expectantly, proud grin wide across his face.
“Thanks Luffy, I’ll make sure to write that down.” The boy nodded, then looked back at her notes from Sanji’s story.
“Looks like you’ve gotten a lot done!” Hazel flinched, grimacing into her palm.
“Yes and no…” Luffy just looked at her, confusion in his eyes, and Hazel gave a heavy sigh. “To be honest, Luff...I don’t really know where to start.”
“At the beginning. Duh.”
“Wow, I never thought about that,” Hazel deadpanned. “And get your finger out of your nose!” As Luffy stuck his tongue out at her, something struck her. Hazel’s eyes widened, an invisible energy urging her hand to move across the paper. “Actually, Luffy, you’re a genius! Thank you!”
She vaguely heard him say something in agreement, but her mind was too focused on the idea it had. Start at the beginning...she was surprised the thought hadn’t occurred to her earlier; after all, she’d only just told the story a week ago.
--------------
Foosha Village had always been a peaceful town. Even when pirates had settled their sails at its docks the year previous, the villagers had yet to deal with much past the occasional bandit or two. Our lives had been much the same, short as they were; filled with fun and laughter and play. Then one day, the stuff of legends became real, and peace would be known no more.
The sun had shown brightly that morning, though my brother and I had already been up for hours. We always had trouble sleeping the closer to Shanks’ departure. In only a short time, the red-headed man had wormed his way into our lives, and our hearts, and my brother especially was determined to join him this time.
So it was that we stood on the deck of the Red-Hair Pirate’s ship, the hustle and bustle of supplies and crates being loaded around us. A few of the men were singing songs - definitely inappropriate considering the children in their company - but we’d already spent the last seven years in a bar. There was nothing in those songs we hadn’t heard before.
I had been listening to Benn Beckman’s tale of their last voyage when Shanks’ voice had called our attention to the figurehead. Standing atop the dragon’s maw, my brother Luffy stood glaring down at our pirate friends. Unfortunately, none of us had taken his declaration of strength seriously. Not until he drove the knife beneath his eye.
--------------
The paragraphs flew quickly out of her hand, the day in question clear in her mind. Hazel took a moment to shake out her wrist, feeling stiff as she read over her work so far. She liked it, she really did. Now to keep up this momentum.
The door opened once again, and Usopp and Nami wandered in, talking about something she couldn’t hear. Hazel was still glaring at the page, chewing her cheek as she thought about how to word her next sentence. She heard Sanji mention dinner would be ready soon, Luffy’s excitement sounding through the room, then Usopp’s hiss for him to be quiet.
“Don’t distract her! She’s scary when she’s mad!” the boy whimpered out, much to Luffy’s amusement.
“No she’s not!” he laughed, drawing the sniper’s ire.
“You didn’t think that when she made you take a bath!” Hazel stifled a snort.
“Speaking of which,” Nami chimed in, holding a hand to her nose. “How long ago was that?”
“Actually, Luffy, you are due for one. Zoro too,” Hazel said, looking up at her surprised crewmates. What, did they think she couldn’t hear them at all? “Why don’t you go wash up before dinner. Please?” Luffy groaned, glaring at the navigator, but dutifully made his way to the bathroom. Despite what he said, he didn’t want to push his sister. Again.
Hazel took that moment to stand up, stretching her back with a loud pop, grabbed her notebook, and made her way outside to tell their grungy swordsman his bath was after dinner. She couldn’t see him at first when she stepped outside, but after glancing around for a moment, she finally spotted him. She blinked when she saw his bare back, mesmerized for a moment at the way the muscles rippled as he did push-up after push-up. A second later, she blinked the distraction away, and walked down the steps to the grass-haired man.
“Hey, your turn for a bath after dinner,” she told him, practically hearing him grit his teeth at the notion. “Dinner’s actually almost done, by the way, so you may wanna wrap it up here.”
“Not done,” he grunted, prompting her to raise a brow in his direction.
“Well find a way to be done. We’re hungry, and you’re sweaty.”
“If I’m gonna get stronger, I can’t cut training short. I need more weight.” His gray eyes swung up to hers, and Hazel got the distinct sense he was sizing her up.
“What do you want me to do about that?” She regretted asking the instant she said it. Zoro gestured to his back. His extremely sweaty back.
“Climb on.”
“Excuse me? What are you insinuating here?” She crossed her arms, trying to decide if she needed to hit him for calling her fat or not. She caught him rolling his eyes.
“You’re all muscle, it’s heavier. Climb on.” Hazel chewed her lip, weighing the pros and cons. Then, deciding she had nothing to lose except her hygiene (and really, she could do with a bath herself), she stepped closer to him, cautiously sitting down when he paused for her. He reached his arm around, causing a startled squeak as he adjusted her position, then he resumed his training, a new strain in his breath.
While he worked, Hazel puzzled once again over her notebook. Disappointment flowed through her as she stared at the four lone paragraphs, the struggle for where to take the story next staying her hand. She’d gotten nothing done today, and it was difficult not to take it to heart.
“What are you sighing about up there?” her cushion grunted below her. Hazel rolled her eyes, but decided to humor him by answering anyway.
“I’ve been working on this all day, and somehow I have nothing to show for it.” Zoro was silent except for his heavy breathing, but for some reason she pushed on. “What kind of record-keeper am I? What kind of storyteller can’t tell a damn story? I don’t even have to make it all up, it’s all stuff that happened…” A puff of air escaped her as her eyes began to sting. “Maybe I’m not cut out for this…”
She hadn’t meant to say it, at least not out loud, and was startled when her chair suddenly stood up. She cried out as she fell, but before she could hit the floor, Zoro’s arms came out to steady her. She looked up at him in shock, affronted at the small glare he sent her way. “Read it out loud,” he said, pointing to the little book in her hands.
“Eh?!” Hazel shrieked, appalled at the very notion of any living being actually hearing her work out loud.
“Read it out loud,” Zoro said again, shrugging his shirt back on. “Then I can tell you if it’s shitty.”
“No way! It’s not ready for human consumption yet!” she yelled, glaring as he sat below the mast. “Besides, who are you to tell me if it’s shit? You wouldn’t know good literature if it waved a sword at you and said ‘boy, speak your name’!” Zoro rolled his eyes at the reference, but leveled her with a steady gaze as it dawned on her the trick he was trying to pull. “Stop it, it’s mine. Why should I share it with you?”
“Because I like the way you tell stories.” He said it so simply, like it didn’t carry nearly the weight for him that it did for her. Hazel felt the blood rush to her cheeks, but she didn’t look away. Something held her gaze on his, something she couldn’t possibly name.
“So how does me reading it aloud help me write it?” Her voice was so quiet, she was surprised he could even hear it.
“Just write it how you’d say it,” he answered, as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. And when he said it like that, it did seem obvious, and Hazel could kick herself for not thinking of it sooner. Before she knew it, she felt herself nodding, sitting beside him beneath the sail.
“Foosha Village had always been a peaceful town….” she began, reading from the beginning, and surprising herself when her voice continued past the last paragraph. He’d heard the story before, but still Zoro sat, listening with rapt attention. Her voice slowed as she wrote, not allowing herself to forget what she’d said, what phrases she used that flowed from her mouth like water.
At one point Hazel glanced beside her, surprised to see the swordsman’s eyes shut. She let out a sigh, finishing her sentence, but not continuing on. She found herself rolling her eyes at the sleeping swordsman, irked that he apparently found her so boring.
“You stuck again?”
Hazel turned to him again, meeting his gaze through half-lidded eyes. She let out a half chuckle, shaking her head in amusement, before diving into the next paragraph.
It was only Luffy’s call of “Dinner!!” that finally drew the two inside.

I’m the anon that is confused sorry I meant to say, that last request asked by Miho, I loved the result!! Can we please have Sanji, Robin & Corazon’s reactions to their S/o that is very cute but unexpectedly curses like sailor please
Aaaaahhh it’s been a while since I posted the request, but here is part one(?) in case anyone wonders what the anon might be referring to xD I was trying to finish this one yesterday already but pppffff didn’t manage to get done in time once again lmao Michelle life = snail life haha
When you look like an actual cupcake but have the mouth of a raunchy old sailor reaction- part 2
Sanji
“I think- no, I could have sworn that I heard a voice just now… or maybe it was more like a whisper…? It sounded like my dear (Y/N)-swan, but… no, it’s impossible…” Sanji mutters to himself with his eyes closed, while you’re standing right there next to him- yelling obscenity after obscenity at the enemy
the initiate shock is so big that the cook might actually zone out for a moment, before he immediately goes into denial
it’s just impossible for him to comprehend. His beloved, gentle, adorable and always sweet (Y/N), calling someone an “Arsebreather”?! No. Maybe this is an illusion caused by the enemy, but he ain’t gonna fall for it!
I mean, Sanji gets to swear and insult people Zoro on the daily, but you???? You have never once done this before, but now you’re just dropping f-bomb after f-bomb, like it’s some sort of obscenity-marathon! God, what is he supposed to do?!?!
Well, he knows the answer. The blame immediately goes to Zoro. Obviously. The marimo, he… he must have done…. something to the cook’s beloved little angel, which explains why this is happening!!!
Robin
“My my, what an obscene use of language! I never thought you would have… such a way with words, dear!”
for a moment she might sound like a Mom about to scold her child, but one look at her raised eyebrow and suprised smile tells you everything you need to know. She’s intrigued, maybe even lowkey into it
not even Robin could have guessed that something like this was lurking within you, but how entertaining! Is this perhaps your way of keeping the enemy distracted or to catch them off guard…? Because judging by their suprised expression, it certainly worked!
as a proper scholar she of course knows about the ‘art’ of combining two offensive words into a brandnew one to create another form of insult, and after you throw the first few obscenities, Robin is curious to see what else you might come up with! She’s basically taking a break to study you and your suprisingly raunchy mouth now lol
Robin is definitely not going to stop you, but every now and then she will correct you if your use of words and combinations don’t make much sense. “'Dickpussy’? Now (Y/N), you know better than that- such a thing clearly doesn’t exist! Why don’t you try pairing the words with something else?”
Corazon
“…………………………………………………………………………………….wHAT DID YO–????!!!” for a moment he almost forgets that he’s supposed to be mute and just starts screaming lol
Rosinante is just as shocked as the enemy when the word 'Sheepshagger’ suddenly rolls off your tongue. The poor man never would have expected to hear something like this leaving your tender lips, and right after this he’s obviously struggling to come to terms with it. At first he even thought you were referring to him for some reason
once you really start going though, the marine spy simply tries to focus on the fight. But still, he can’t help mouthing all those things you’re yelling out… Chickenfucker…. Cockwomble…. just where did you pick up on all that?!
there are so many questions burning on his tongue, but he can’t break character. So all Roci can do now is look for an opening, hoping that there will soon be a moment for the two of you to talk about… this
his cheeks are probably awfully red and he’s puffing them out the longer the fighting and your assault of insults lasts, oh how he wishes that you would just… stop. It has never been so hard for this man to keep up his silent facade!

alsjlskzjs, I loved the Law/maleso/Luffy, you wrote it amazingly! Can I ask for a continuation, maybe with a little interatcing with the crew and their ghosts, but as a little time passes, Male reader finds himself accidentally using the ghosts powers or skills? like, they are at dinner one night, and sneezes fire. Or after getting startled, they silnce the whole ship for like 3 hours? or like, hes talking to Robin and can read the Ponglyps for a few mineuts (Robons mom) and they freak out?
sorry this took me so long! i really had to take and do this in chunks bc my brain would fry trying to figure out all the little details for everyone. i don’t think sanji has anyone important to him in his past, so he isn’t here. also the first four are the longest bc they play an actual part in some things, and also theirs have the most obvious powers and drawbacks. i hope i did this enough justice to warrant the wait lol
Over the course of the few months you were on the sunny, more ghosts began to show up, like they were drawn to you. Some spirits, like ace and rosinante, sought you out before you ever met whoever was keeping them tethered. Others, like Olvia and Tom, seemed to sense when you met their loved ones, and then sought you out.
Or that was what you guessed anyway, since they didn’t seem to have an answer for it either.
Regardless, there were now half a dozen ghosts following you around, and new symptoms had shown up on top of that.
Safe to say, you were losing your mind.
luffy:
You were just cuddled up with Luffy on the couch in the aquarium, his head in your lap as you chatted back and forth about the next island.
The urge hit you out of the blue, and you turned your head to the side to avoid sneezing all over Luffy.
That went right out the window as a huge column of flames shot out of your nose when you sneezed, lighting the curtains beside you on fire.
You immediately jumped up, knocking Luffy onto the floor as you panicked, smothering the flames with the other half of the curtains.
Luffy, helpful dolt that he is, laid on the floor upside down staring at you in awe before jumping to his feet and picking you up in a hug
“That is so cool, ___. I didn’t know you could do that! You looked just like a dragon!”
To be fair, you didn’t know you could do that either. Over Luffy’s shoulder, you sent ace a murderous glare, to which he happily responded with a shoulder shrug, a smirk, and laughter.
You never actually got a chance to figure out what the hell had happened because, mid-hug, you fell asleep right in Luffy’s arms.
law:
A few days after the incident with Luffy, something else happened. You were beginning to think you needed to screen the ghosts before you agreed to help them from now on.
You were hanging out quietly in the boy’s room with Law, who was busy reading over a medical text from chopper, and Rosi, who was lounging on the other end of the couch smoking a transparent cigarette (which, by the way, was pretty funny when he managed to light himself on fire, freaked out, then realized he couldn’t actually burn) when Franky came bursting into the room with Usopp hot on his heels.
You weren’t even sure how it happened, it was like reflex. Rosi jumped and floated up to the ceiling, you jumped off the couch and hit the floor, and then all of a sudden everything was dead quiet.
You could clearly see Franky and Usopp yelling about…something, but you couldn’t hear anything.
Law, on the other hand, was looking at you with curiosity, like he knew exactly what was going on.
“Er, Law…?” you asked, and you heard yourself perfectly fine, but he didn’t react.
Rosi floated down behind you, and you nearly jumped out of your skin when he spoke. “I think you may have just silenced the ship. Seems you can use my calm calm powers, ___.”
You sighed. “Yeah I was afraid of that. how do I fix it?”
But Rosi only shrugged before floating over to law. “Come over here and see if he can hear you.”
You didn’t understand how moving closer would help, but did as told.
Or tried to. You tripped over the floor mat and tumbled, smacking your head off the floor and blacking out before you could get there.
robin:
Your next stop was to see Robin, and you found her in the library, looking over a charcoal shading of some strange symbols. She looked up as you entered and smiled.
“Well hello, ___. What can I do for you?” she asked. She always had a knack for telling when someone was actively looking for her and when you just happened upon her.
“Well…I have a problem. and I think you might be the most able to help,” you said, sitting beside her.
You glanced over the sketches in her hands absentmindedly, and a word popped into your head.
“Those are Poneglyphs, right?” you asked, pointing to them.
Robin froze, then nodded slowly. “How did you know that?” she asked, staring at you with a guarded expression. She had never mentioned them to you before, or in your presence, and she was pretty sure that no one else would have a reason to.
“Uh, that’s sort of why I’m here,” you answered, pointing over your shoulder to the– to her, empty– space where Nico Olvia floated. “I think I may be spouting some of the spirits powers out. It just started. I almost burned the library down a few days ago, then just earlier I muted everyone like Cora used to do.”
Robin looked stricken at the mention of her mother for a moment, as she always did, before it turned thoughtful. “I’ve never heard of that being possible. Although Blackbeard stole devil fruit powers, he can use them freely. You can only use them momentarily, right?”
You nodded, looking back down at the papers. Some of the words you could understand, but most of them just looked like gibberish. Slowly, more came into focus, as if your brain was automatically learning another language.
Before you could really start to piece the words together though, everything seemed to explode into agony. You couldn’t breathe, as if your lungs wouldn’t expand. The edges of your vision turned black, and you collapsed.
Robin’s voice sounded very far away, and there was Chopper’s alongside hers. As you came to, you could start to make out what they were saying.
“…he just blacked out? What was he doing before then?” Chopper was asking.
“We were just talking about the new powers he developed, and he was looking at the pictures of Poneglyphs, and then he was on the floor gasping.”
“Look, he’s waking up.” That was Law’s voice, and he sounded very concerned.
You opened your eyes just a crack, testing whether that was a good idea. Your head felt like it was splitting open, and Law helped you to sit up slowly.
“What happened?” he asked, and you shrugged.
“I don’t know. I was talking with Robin and then suddenly everything hurt, like I’d been beaten, and I couldn’t breathe anymore,” you said, looking around at everyone. It was just you, Robin, Chopper, and Law in the room, and they all looked like you felt.
Robin’s gasp broke the silence, like a lightbulb had turned on. “It sounds like you were experiencing what my mother did before she…I wonder if you aren’t taking their powers but also some of their personality too,” she said, looking at you curiously. “What happened after you used Ace’s and Cora-san’s?”
Law broke in before you could answer. “He fell asleep in luffy’s arms after lighting the libary on fire, and tripped and knocked himself out after silencing our room. Which is exactly what they used to do.”
You nodded in agreement, but Robin still looked perturbed. “It seems like you experience more than just their quirks, but their deaths too. That can’t be good. I’ll do some research and see if there’s anything about your powers, but you need to be careful too.”
zoro:
This new development was slightly detrimental to your health. You couldn’t figure out a rhyme or reason to how your new powers worked, or when they would, but you were keen to find out.
The safest way, you figured, was to try practicing with a sword and seeing if you couldn’t channel some of Kuina’s swordsmanship at will.
It didn’t work. At all.
You couldn’t seem to find any trigger for making it work, swinging the sword as you normally would have. Zoro seemed disappointed as well, having hoped to have a decent match against someone besides Law for once. It didn’t matter that you explained to him you could only use it for a few seconds.
Only when Franky, who was working on something on the mast, accidentally lost his grip on a drawing knife he was using and sent it flying towards you did those “instincts” kick in. Your vision went a little blurry, as if you were seeing things through water, and you lifted the sword and swung with more grace than you ever had, knocking it aside before it could reach you.
Zoro clapped in impressed surprise. “I guess you need to be in danger to use it,” he said, watching you stumble and fall to your knees. “Are you alright?”
“No, I uh,” you struggled to think through the screaming pain that was lancing through your back. It wasn’t nearly as excruciating as Olvia’s death, but your head was still swimming from it. “Can I ask how Kuina died?”
Zoro paused, looking like he swallowed a lemon. “She fell down the stairs.” He sounded bitter, so you nodded and moved on.
“I think I’m experiencing some of the things the others did in their lives, deaths included. Earlier, I could read Poneglyphs, but right after I went through Olvia’s death. This is…a little scary,” you admit, just as Luffy and Law came onto the deck.
Franky had gone to fetch them when you collapsed, and they pulled you gently to your feet.
“Are you alright, _____?” Luffy asked, just as Law asked, “what the hell is going on?”
Explaining it all over again, you sighed tiredly. “I just want to go lay down now, if you don’t mind.”
nami:
Nothing happened for a few days after that. At every turn, though, you were expecting an outburst followed by some type of mayhem. Practicing with Zoro a little more revealed that only when something dangerous you weren’t expecting happened did you channel Kuina’s excellent swordsmanship. Needless to say, Zoro was disappointed.
Nami’s first experience happened when you were helping her trim her tangerine trees. It was one of the only pleasant experiences you had, because for some reason– maybe you were just relaxed enough that it was flowing– Bell-mere’s knowledge of tangerines was flowing freely.
For nearly an hour, you and Nami chatted about the best ways to take care of the trees. You could see Bell-mere floating aimlessly through the trees, and knew she was listening but never once did she input anything to the conversation.
The only negative side-effect you experienced was an overwhelming craving for cigarettes.
Franky:
Franky’s was another pleasant experience, since you were able to channel Tom’s knowledge of shipbuilding. It didn’t last as long as Bell-mere’s, but it came much more frequently than Rosi’s or Ace’s.
You were beginning to suspect that the physical aspects took a different type of catalyst compared to the knowledge. Unfortunately, you were unable to physically put any of Tom’s knowledge into effect, but Franky enjoyed talking with you while he was working.
chopper:
Chopper’s was another unpleasant one.
Channeling Hiriluk’s medical knowledge was a struggle at best, because even though you knew what was going on, you didn’t really understand, and it gave you a headache.
Combine that with the fact that you spent almost 30 minutes doubled over from unbearable stomach cramps– which you found out was most likely what Hiriluk experienced before he died from eating a deadly mushroom– and his knowledge really wasn’t worth the experience.
Chopper couldn’t even really enjoy chatting with you about it because you were just so miserable, but the catalyst for Hiriluk’s knowledge was pretty much just entering the medical bay, so you suffered quite a bit from that one.

I want to see you | Sanami week 2019
Since Sanji refused to use his Germa suit, everyone had been asking him to put it on. Some only wanted to make him feel ridiculous, like Zoro. Others wanted to see exactly what it could do and how it worked. Luffy and Chopper mainly wanted to see him transform into a coloured warrior like his brothers and sister. And Nami… Truth be told, Sanji didn’t know how Nami felt about the suit.
Of course, she had shown the typical curiosity of a cat and had strongly placed herself in favour of the technological advantages it could offer. However, she never addressed the suit properly, not even after he had to use it on Wano. That’s why it came as such a shock to him when she asked him to try it on on a Wednesday morning.
“What?” he asked, so sure that he must have misunderstood her.
They were both in the kitchen, and nobody was there yet. Robin had stayed up late reading, and Nami had left her sleep a little more. When she arrived to the kitchen, she found the earliest bird in the morning there. Sanji was always the last person to leave and to enter the kitchen, and watching him prepare breakfast while drinking a glass of water had become a part of Nami’s morning routine. He didn’t mind, of course. He was pleased to spend more time with her in any context. But when she came up with that question out of nothing, he had to question all the life choices he made that led him to that moment.
“I asked if you could show me your Germa suit. Do you need me to speak louder?”
He could tell she was joking, but it wasn’t funny to him. He just wanted to know why she had come with such an idea so early in the morning. So he asked her in return.
“I… I don’t know, really. I just had a very vivid dream where you were wearing really strange clothes, so I wondered how the suit would look on you.”
It seemed valid. Still, not enough for him to wear that atrocity again. Not in front of people he knew and cared about. He wanted Nami to respect him.
“I won’t take any pictures, I promise!”
“I look ridiculous.”
“No you don’t. I’m sure.”
She was starting to get closer and closer to him, and Sanji gulped. He knew this was her trick to getting what she wanted, but this time he could not give it to her. It was beyond limits.
“You’ve seen my brothers’ attire. You can’t tell me it is elegant.”
“Well, no.” she laughed, too close to his neck for his liking. “But they didn’t look that bad, did they? I think one of them was actually…”
He didn’t like where the sentence was going, so he cut her off immediately: “Please, tell me you’re joking.”
She didn’t formulate a response, but her eye-roll was reassuring enough for him. He had been actually scared for a moment.
“Whatever. But I think it would be refreshing to see you wear something apart from black suits.”
“You can never go wrong with black.” He lived by that statement.
“So you’re a coward.” She said, much to Sanji’s confusion. “You are not willing to risk your precious sense of fashion for me.”
Sanji knew she understood that there was much more to that and that she was probably just trying to mess with his head as a way of entertainment, yet he could not help but slightly falling for it. What else could he do? He was only human.
And there she was, standing as close to him as he could ever have imagined, and giving him her best puppy eyes (he had seen them many times, yet they never shined so brightly). It was so unfair.
“Just once. And we’ll never mention it again.”
Nami jumped to hug him and her scent clouded his thoughts. Maybe it wasn’t that bad. Maybe it was even worth it. However, that did not last long.
He was standing in the bathroom floor, fully changed into that hideous outfit and regretting everything that led him to that point in life. Why did he have to agree? Why couldn’t he say no? He was such a loser.
“I want to see you” Nami sang, from the other side of the door.
With a sigh, he opened the door, expecting to hear laughter so loud that it would come to torture him for eternity. Instead, he heard nothing. Nami was blankly staring at him as if she couldn’t figure out what was going on. She looked at him, head to toe, and blinked twice before saying anything.
“Yeah, it’s terrible. Take it off.”
That was it? Sanji was as confused as he could be, but he did not risk the chance of her taking a picture of him, so he closed the door immediately and hoped to never speak of that again.
This is really short but I’ve been out all day and I almost forgot to post. Thank goodness I remembered. I’m trying my best to keep up with the writing schedule, but I wish I had more time to actually revise what I’m doing lol.

[9/2/2015 5:07:25 PM] leslye gomez: JUST THOSE THREE YES OKAY GOOD
[9/2/2015 5:07:37 PM] leslye gomez: LUFF SAVES LONG HAIRED ZORO
[9/2/2015 5:07:48 PM] leslye gomez: WHO CUTS HIS HAIR LATER.
[9/2/2015 5:07:58 PM] leslye gomez: LUFFY HELPS HIM ADJUST
[9/2/2015 5:08:09 PM] leslye gomez: AND WHEN THEY'RE OUT ONE DAY ZORO REALLY WANTS TO KISS LUFF
[9/2/2015 5:08:21 PM] leslye gomez: OKAY
[9/2/2015 5:08:23 PM] leslye gomez: YUS???
[9/2/2015 5:08:34 PM] loofahlover: YUS
[9/2/2015 5:08:55 PM] leslye gomez: OKAY YOU START HOW ARE WE EVEN GOING TO DO THIS ALRIGHT THEN
[9/2/2015 5:09:02 PM] leslye gomez: just wing it
[9/2/2015 5:10:37 PM] loofahlover: Luffy first met Zoro on a rainy day: wet, crouched behind a dumpster, and eating a dead rat.
[9/2/2015 5:11:57 PM] leslye gomez: (I'm already so thrown off omg i laughed really hard i'm a terrible person)
[9/2/2015 5:12:48 PM] loofahlover: (XD i was inspired by something i watched today)
[9/2/2015 5:13:59 PM] leslye gomez: (WELL AMRIGHT THEN YOU WATCH WEIRD THINGS OKAY here i go)
[9/2/2015 5:15:25 PM] leslye gomez: Zoro wore ragged clothes, splatters of red here and there that Luffy didn't believe to be the dead rats blood.
[9/2/2015 5:19:33 PM] loofahlover: Luffy dropped his groceries, running to help the man; which became difficult when Zoro started swinging at him with a brick.
[9/2/2015 5:22:41 PM] leslye gomez: Luffy dodged best he could, suddenly more appreciative of the fast reflexes he developed over the years.
[9/2/2015 5:24:52 PM] loofahlover: Eventually Zoro passed out from sheer hunger, and Luffy had to discreetely drag Zoro to his apartment.
[9/2/2015 5:27:45 PM] leslye gomez: Without much else to do, Luffy laid Zoro on his bed and contemplated whether or not to call the police; he'd seen this man somewhere before.
[9/2/2015 5:29:04 PM] loofahlover: But he abandoned the idea in favor of raiding the fridge for his midtime snack.
[9/2/2015 5:29:20 PM] loofahlover: (try not to get too detailed or we'll never finish XD)
[9/2/2015 5:31:22 PM] leslye gomez: (That is true okay XD)
[9/2/2015 5:33:18 PM] leslye gomez: While Luffy was off doing that, Zoro woke up and stared in confusion around him, beginning to panic since he thought he was being held captive again.
[9/2/2015 5:38:26 PM] loofahlover: -but he escaped, found an opening, bit and scratched his way out, they'd never again, weren't supposed to find him-
[9/2/2015 5:41:17 PM] leslye gomez: It was at this point that Luffy came back from getting his snack, an extra sandwich in hand, and rushed over when he saw Zoro panicking, "Heyhey! You're okay, you passed out so i brought you to my house!"
[9/2/2015 5:42:32 PM] loofahlover: "House?...I...Who are you?" Zoro demanded, shifting backward until his back hit the wall.
[9/2/2015 5:44:47 PM] leslye gomez: "Well, it's an apartment, but same thing." Luffy smiled and held out the sandwich to Zoro. "I'm Monkey D. Luffy! You seem hungry so I made you this sandwich if you want it."
[9/2/2015 5:46:12 PM] loofahlover: Zoro's nose caught a whiff of ham and sharp cheese, and suddenly the sandwich was gone and he was brushing the crumbs off his mouth.
[9/2/2015 5:49:20 PM | Edited 5:53:31 PM] leslye gomez: Luffy only smiled and plopped onto the floor, "Sooo, I'll make you another when that sandwich goes down, but uh, what were you doing eating a rat behind a dumpster?"
[9/2/2015 5:55:41 PM] loofahlover: "I was hungry." Zoro looked around, taking in the messy room, free of videocameras or locks or metal doors; was he safe now?
[9/2/2015 6:07:55 PM] leslye gomez: "Yeah but...well, alright. Do you have anyone you want to call? I have a phone you can use. Oh and, what's your name? Are you hurt? That looks like blood on your shirt." Luffy took a step closer, reaching a hand out to check if Zoro was okay.
[9/2/2015 6:10:07 PM] loofahlover: Zoro flinched at the contact but tried not to gouge the kid's eyes out because, well, he was ok, right? He hadn't done anything bad yet, and he'd even given Zoro a sandwich.
[9/2/2015 6:17:44 PM] leslye gomez: Luffy paused when Zoro flinched, being careful not to physically touch the man as he lifted Zoro's shirt up and examined all the cuts and scrapes on the mans chest, eyes widening at the large scar that crossed from his left shoulder and to his right hip.
[9/2/2015 6:20:39 PM] loofahlover: (I'm wondering if it might be easier to rp, so you wont be restricted to one sentence)
[9/2/2015 6:22:09 PM] leslye gomez: (Hmmmm do you wanna rp???)
[9/2/2015 6:23:00 PM] loofahlover: (SURE WHY NOT)
[9/2/2015 6:23:37 PM] leslye gomez: (That would take the restriction away. XD OKAY THEN SO DO WE GO HOW IT KINDA TURNED OUT??? YOU ZORO AND ME LUFFY??? Or do you wanna be Luffy)
[9/2/2015 6:27:28 PM] loofahlover: (eh, i don't really care)
[9/2/2015 6:27:52 PM] loofahlover: (and lol yeah, i removed the restriction, but this story has already exceeded my expectations XDD)
[9/2/2015 6:28:47 PM] leslye gomez: (It turned more rpish anyways XD OKAY THEN WE'LL JUST STAY HOW IT TURNED OUT. YOUR TURN ZORO. No more restrictiooon)
[9/2/2015 6:30:24 PM] loofahlover: Zoro immediately pulled his shirt down, retreating back into himself as the memories started coming back.
[9/2/2015 6:30:29 PM] loofahlover: (....its short OTL)
[9/2/2015 6:31:18 PM] leslye gomez: (LOL)
[9/2/2015 6:31:24 PM] leslye gomez: (What the)
[9/2/2015 6:31:48 PM] leslye gomez: (Okay sure it was supposed to be a normal LOL but ok)
[9/2/2015 6:36:27 PM] loofahlover: (well i didn't wanna talking about flashbacks again because i just did)
[9/2/2015 6:38:37 PM] leslye gomez: Luffy jerked back from Zoro, apologizing and hovering his hands over Zoro's shoulders. "Um, I think you should shower. You have some scratches there that can get infected and plus a shower might help you feel better. I have some clothes that will kinda fit you."
[9/2/2015 6:39:28 PM] leslye gomez: (Nyeh Zoro will probably have a lot of flashbacks. PTSD too perhaps?)
[9/2/2015 6:41:12 PM] leslye gomez: (With the whole flashbacks, anxiety and nightmares that he'll probably have)
[9/2/2015 6:43:20 PM] loofahlover: Zoro nodded. A shower sounded good, sounded...god, when was the last time he'd showered? Been around water that didn't make him gag? He turned to the kid. Stared him up and down. He didn't want to insult some who saved him, especially when, to be honest, he wasn't in any shape to fight back. But it was pretty obvious. The kid's clothes would never fit him.
[9/2/2015 6:49:10 PM] leslye gomez: Luffy blinked down at the man's obvious skepticism, grinning and letting out a laugh. "Not my clothes! I have...bigger shirts. It should fit you, no worries. Besides, I have sweats that stretch and if your ankles show, well, it's not a big deal right?"
[9/2/2015 6:54:34 PM] loofahlover: Zoro shrugged. He wasn't really in a situation to be picky about his clothes. So that's how he found himself shoved into a cramped bathroom, with the showerhead spraying up to his neck. But it was neck-high heaven. He scrubbed the grime away with his fingers, like ridding himself of the person he used to be and watching it flush down the drain. He reached for a bottle of shampoo, since Luffy had allowed it. His lips twitched the bright label that said: Berrylicious scent. Just like a kid.
[9/2/2015 6:54:43 PM] loofahlover: twitched at*
[9/2/2015 7:03:15 PM] leslye gomez: As soon as Luffy had shoved Zoro into the shower, he darted over to his computer and looked up exactly how to treat the minor wounds Zoro had on his chest. He had a first aid kit, but, he had no idea how to use it. As soon as he was done reading through instructions, he went ahead and pulled out a pot of soup that was shoved into his fridge, smiling at the memory of Sanji stopping by to cook it for him last night. With only mild frustration, Luffy got it heating up on the stove. There! He could eat this with Zoro after he treated him.
[9/2/2015 7:07:52 PM] loofahlover: (omg we're writing too many details again)
[9/2/2015 7:07:59 PM] loofahlover: (sorry I'm gonna speed things up a bit)
[9/2/2015 7:08:38 PM] leslye gomez: (shit yeah okay XD OR WE COULD LET THIS GO ON FOR A FULL WEEK AHAHAHA nah okay)
[9/2/2015 7:08:46 PM] loofahlover: (....THAT TOO)
[9/2/2015 7:08:50 PM] loofahlover: (LES DO IT)
[9/2/2015 7:09:01 PM] loofahlover: (oh you were joking. ok)
[9/2/2015 7:11:09 PM] leslye gomez: (na lets do it)
[9/2/2015 7:11:19 PM] leslye gomez: (sounds fun)
[9/2/2015 7:11:27 PM] leslye gomez: (I've gone a lot longer bruh XD)
[9/2/2015 7:13:54 PM] loofahlover: omg
[9/2/2015 7:13:59 PM] loofahlover: ALRIGHT LETS GO THEN
[9/2/2015 7:14:45 PM] leslye gomez: YUS
[9/2/2015 7:16:32 PM] loofahlover: zoro opened the bathroom door, embarrassed. the shirt was fine, as luffy had said, but the pants only went to above his ankles and were kinda riding up. he followed the scent of chicken and spices back into the kitchen, and his stomach gave another gurgle. and he'd thought the sandwich would be enough.
[9/2/2015 7:16:50 PM] leslye gomez: (LITERALLY THOUGH I HAVE GONE LIKE...THE LONGEST I'VER EVER SPENT RPING A THING IS MAYBE 5 MONTHS)
[9/2/2015 7:18:08 PM] loofahlover: (HOW)
[9/2/2015 7:18:24 PM] loofahlover: (DIDNT YOUGET TIRED OF IT)
[9/2/2015 7:18:35 PM] leslye gomez: (NO IT WAS GREAT)
[9/2/2015 7:24:59 PM] leslye gomez: Luffy turned when he heard Zoro's footsteps, smiling. "Hey! Okay so I had this soup in my fridge and we can eat that once it's hot. Right now I kinda wanna treat all those scrapes you have on your chest. And uh, well, I've never actually done it before but I have a first aid kit and I looked up how to do it." Luffy pointed him over to the couch in the living room where there was a first aid kit already set up. "Will you let me do it? Or I guess you could do it yourself if you want. Unless you'd rather go to a hospital. We could go."
[9/2/2015 7:28:30 PM] loofahlover: "NO." Zoro started coughing, having been silent for so long. "No hospitals." He didn't need people to know where he was. Didn't need to be found. By the wrong people. He held out an arm with a long gash, signaling Luffy to start treating him since he was so enthusiastic about it. He doubted Luffy could botch it too badly. And if he did? Well, Zoro had survived worse.
[9/2/2015 7:38:45 PM] leslye gomez: Luffy blinked, wandering back into the kitchen and grabbing a bottle of water. "Here you go." Luffy let Zoro open the bottle before taking his arm and examining it. "Let's see, I have to..." he started mumbling under his breath, reaching into the first aid kit and pulling out anti-septic wipes. He stuck his tongue out as he concentrated on cleaning Zoro's array of wounds, having to get up and look at his computer more than once as he went. Everything went more or less smoothly. Until, of course, he had to wrap the wounds. They came out messy, pieces up the white bandage poking out and some areas being too loose while others were too tight. Luffy grinned at Zoro and rubbed the back of his neck. "Shishishi! Sorry, I'm not very good at this part!"
[9/2/2015 8:01:36 PM] loofahlover: "it's fine," he said, inspecting the messy bandages. he'd been watching luffy try his hardest at first aid, probably for the first time in his life. it was a little endearing. and that smile of luffy's was so warm. honestly, everything about him was. just the way he picked zoro up, basically saved him. gave unconditionally, without any suspicion or any interrogation on just where he came from. it was a little too much to accept.
[9/2/2015 8:08:00 PM] leslye gomez: Luffy nodded, shoving whatever supplies were left into his first aid kit without bothering to organize it and tossing everything else into the trash. "Okay! Well the soup should be done now so come eat--uhhh, right, I still don't know your name." Luffy looked over at Zoro expectantly. He'd like to have something to call him instead of just saying 'hey you'.
[9/2/2015 8:08:57 PM] leslye gomez: (casually sips on mah coffee)
[9/2/2015 8:09:12 PM] loofahlover: (DAMN YOU LELE)
[9/2/2015 8:09:23 PM] leslye gomez: (AHAHAHA)
[9/2/2015 8:12:02 PM] loofahlover: Zoro opens his mouth automatically- and it frightens him. How unguarded he's become around this kid. Doesn't matter what Luffy's done, there's no way Zoro can give his name up to a stranger, not when it can be traced through the system. He's got to leave the city limits before that happens. "Gomez," he lies, silently apologizing to Luffy.
[9/2/2015 8:12:24 PM] leslye gomez: (WOW)
[9/2/2015 8:12:57 PM] loofahlover: (don't mess with mah coffee addiction)
[9/2/2015 8:13:55 PM] leslye gomez: ( GRABS ANOTHER CUP OF COFFEE FROM MY COFFEE MAKER )
[9/2/2015 8:14:59 PM] loofahlover: (HOW DARE YOU)
[9/2/2015 8:21:25 PM] leslye gomez: Luffy beamed, nodding his head. "Okay Gomez! You just sit here--" He patted one of the chairs by his tiny kitchen table "--and I'll get you a bowl of soup!" He darted over towards one of his cupboards and pulled out two large bowls, filling up one with a bigger helping of veggies and chicken and placing that one in front of Zoro along with a chunk of bread he tended to eat with the soups Sanji made him. He also went ahead and pulled out a carton of orange juice from the fridge, remembering that whenever he gave blood they gave him some because it...helped replenish what he lost, or something.
[9/2/2015 8:21:42 PM] leslye gomez: ( TURNS SAID COFFEE INTO ICED COFFEE CUZ IT'S HOT )
[9/2/2015 8:22:40 PM] loofahlover: (TOO HOT)
[9/2/2015 8:22:43 PM] loofahlover: (HOT DAMN)
[9/2/2015 8:23:28 PM | Edited 8:24:28 PM] leslye gomez: (Zoro? Yes he is too hot. and I just remembered the long hair holy shit it's probably hanging over his shoulder right now)
[9/2/2015 8:26:49 PM] loofahlover: zoro nodded his thanks and took a sip of the soup. then another. then started slurping it down like his life depended on it, even though that was no longer the case. between scarfing down the soup, the bread, and the juice, he started coughing from eating too fast, but he wouldn't let that stop him. it had been so long since he'd been full, and he wanted to take advantage of that before. before luffy changed his mind. before zoro was kicked out and he had to fend for himself again.
[9/2/2015 8:35:13 PM] leslye gomez: Luffy was a bit more restrained when he ate. Just barely. He wasn't known for his manners y'know. Luffy slurped up the rest of his soup before looking up at Zoro with a smile. "There's more if you're still hungry. Though I don't think it's very good for you to each so fast or too much if you've been hungry for a long time. Sanji told me that! And you can stay here tonight or for however long you need to. I don't mind at all! S'nice having company."
and they fall in love with each other the end.
