2022 Art Purge

Yearly round up time! Y’already know it’s all the doodles that I couldn’t figure where else to put throughout the year, let’s go! Talkin’ time!

I got a new green this past year so obviously it had to go to him lol, poor lad <3

Talas ✨ I still really like her little ribbon as a new accessory but it’s been almost a full year now! She’s playing with a lighter in the first one, I was trying to chase a “warmth of the village” kind of idea but couldn’t quite reach it. At least she was warm enough in the second one lol

Laughing Soda profile without references, I feel like I always forget to look and then everyone turns out off-model! At least she got a few more doodles later so she looks more like herself haha

More profiles! Still early learning how to draw Souichi, he <3 I enjoy drawing smoking so much wah, and his little hairtie string, he’s so pretty

Bunnies early in the year, it was prophesied! Lol, sometimes the bunny mood just strikes out of nowhere, they’re too cute to not

The very original sketch for what become Sub-Commander! I doodled this on the inside of a bank envelope because I had no other paper at the time, and yes I did use one of those pens on a chain, it had been broken off before I got to it I swear officer no but it actually had lol

More eyes, Just Desserts-style this time ✨ These were actually the counterparts to the Vargas eyes from a bit back lol, only Aria gets a special eye type here haha

A Lily and Birdo platonic kiss haha, really stretching out of my comfort zone ouq Maybe also part of the motivation behind wanting a fancharacter Birdo, just that tiny little bit extra of plausible deniability (of what?? idk lol)

I wasn’t fully satisfied with the levels of anthro I ended up with in the original set so I had to come back and try again, I think I like this amount a good deal! Somehow my best doodles of the cat family ended up in my ambidextrous notebook lol

Soon off the heels of Earthbound I got briefly pulled back to Word Girl, Jeff and Tobey would probably have a gas chatting about robots! Two blond nerds in round glasses, they’re the prototypical stereotype lol

Sleeping Pink ♥ I wanted to better show his pose from when he was sleeping next to Yellow, I wanted them to be in mirrored poses but just wanted to draw him again haha

It’s digitally enhanced but it did end up looking cool, Rouxls with his actual tones ✨

Trying for some slightly more dynamic/chaotic poses, the first one was Not Enough! Make her more like a raccoon, more like a Sableye, more like Spamton!
