i got 99% on an exam i was dreading and i was sooo brave and i only threw up a little bit :) unfortunately i had to take 2 tabs of adderall at 4pm and subsequently i will not be escaping my dogshit sleep schedule tonight :( but i got 99% :)

#the one i missed was bullshit. normally all questions are formatted with the generic names so thats the direction i studied #this exam was backwards #if you asked me what classification irbesartan was i obviously wouldve known it was an angiotensin ii receptor blocker. duh.#but avapro? how do you get avapro from irbesartan?#it was multiple choice so i just went. 'okay. all i gotta do is recall all the generics for these 4 classifications and #from there i can hopefully remember all of the brands for each of them!'#reader. i did not do that.#avapro is not adalat. adalat is fucking nifedipine. unfortunately 'anti-hypertensive calcium channel blocker' was an option #ugh.#so close to 100%#whatever. the point is i dont have to retake it tomorrow. which is nice because tomorrow is for studying for #my institutional pharmacy final. which i CANNOT fail because then i would have to retake it on THE SAME DAY as my math final #i cant study on thursday (the day of my institutional final) because if all goes well im starting my externship that day #and finishing my shift one hour before class #so. again. i am VERY glad i passed this test #god ive got so. much. homework. to catch up with. and studying. fuck.#wont have much time to study for my math final because i took fri-sun shifts too and the math final is on monday #but thats fine because i am good at math. hashtag girl #no one will read all these tags but im journaling

where did you go to school and what did you study?

i went to nyu gallatin and concentrated in essentially literature and polysci/sociology but almost all of my classes were interdisciplinary seminars so i was out there taking shit like “philosophy of religion” and “domesticating the wild in children’s literature”…… literally greatest most stimulating four years of my life (academically) and i would pay a million dollars to have access to my course essays again. my concentration colloquium i ended up titling “loaded language: domination & dissent through the written word” and everytime i think about it im like woah i really tapped into something that i would only get more interested in and also goddamn i need to get an advanced degree and also yeah every stereotype about gallatin students is true lol

#writing this out was insufferable but i cannot imagine i more incredible or enriching path for undergrad and i will always always be so #outlandishly grateful for every single moment even if i can’t remember 75% of them and outside the classroom it was hell #would retake every course but two in a heartbeat #my post colonial feminism class with the scariest smartest woman i’ve ever met who put our asses through the RINGER……#i have literally NONE of my papers bc my email got deactivated and i have a breakdown about that once every eighteen months #like hundreds of pages just gone. oh also bc i spilled coffee on my laptop and didn’t have an external hard drive

hate logging onto my uni email acct bc what if i do and see that i got an email directly from the upper uni big chief man that just says "you are banned from our university and get no degree on grounds of you being a complete loser. goodbye" . what then.

#ive been in uni for almost 3y now. i think about this everytime #dont ban me from your university please #also me projecting bc theres a non zero chance i am actually fucking blowing my exam session and have to retake them in august with #my entire fucking degree in the balance. unpleasant. but like id actually get that sort of email #closest thing i got to such an email was during my first year when i messed up signing up to my classes and exams and had to #pay a mf 200 (!!!!!) euro fee for that. very normal amount to ask from a first year student living with their parents 150km away from campu #anyway. god help me fuck these exams i hate it here #personal nonsense

figured out that my college gets my AP scores before i do and i went and checked and I GOT ALL 5s 🔥🔥

Remember how i had an exam on Monday and that i was upset that it didn't go well? Well, in fact it didn't go well but my professors are willing to give me one last (unofficial) chance to take it bc they saw I went to class and never skipped an exam and saw my efforts in trying to pass the class 😭😭😭😭😭 I'm so happy i could cry lmao this was so unexpected 🥹

starting shadowing at a vet clinic tomorrow!!!

#i am very excited #they took a while to get back to me but now i should be all set #it’s a community spay and neuter clinic so i should get to observe surgeries which will be cool #hopefully this will also function as something to help me get an entry level veterinary job in the next year or so #i’m gonna aim to try to get that either later this year or next summer #i’m retaking organic chemistry in the fall so i think i wanna put off also adjusting to a new job while taking the hardest class ive ever #done so a veterinary job may end up as a next spring/summer goal which is fine especially since i’ll be getting some experience this summer #a job is less of a priority #and i have a barista job for as long as i need it so having work isn’t an issue
