The ONLY blood bank in town is run by the government as well is of course not doing well because of The Sanctions, fine. So EVERYONE in town donates blood and resources. Since around February they began charging money saying that they HAVE to because The Sanctions have force their hand, but this is very much illegal. If you decide you will tell authorities about this issue well get fucked, this is an open secret and if you think yourself a hero for snitching at best you will be banned and blacklisted from ever receiving blood from this bank (there is no other one in town) and at worse get send to jail without any sort of trail for Conspiracy and Inciting Hate , is a Hate Crime here to denounce injustice. I know this because my aunt had to get a hysterectomy and it was truly a horrifying experience and it cost them their life savings, selling their one car and the family coming together to help. My aunt is a middle school teacher in a public school , register to receive benefits from the government and she had to pay out of pocket for EVERYTHING.

I have to say that my family and I are the fortunate , we manage. There is so much people in way worse positions/circumstances and that's heart breaking.

They have a fucking dj set, only rich kids with neglective powerful parents will have no problem paying for that, just saying, and even though i love him let's be real Shio is the type to be that parent, i mean cmon he's rich like crazy rich (filthy yakuza money yum yum) he tots would give his children WAY more than enough allowance so they can leave him alone, also the way they act, i've always the Haitanis were the type of kids that think they own the school cuz their dad is rich .

Nvm if this never becomes canon or both universes don't collide, it's just so entertaining to keep connecting the dots that were likely never there, like how Rindou is a heavy drinker cuz his father drank alot with the rest of the Yotsurugis and he tried to imitate him from a young age that it became an unhealthy habit or if you want to add more drama he only drinks cuz he looks up to his father but Shio favors Ran cuz he can posssibly succeed him (canon power complex) so Rindou resorted to drinking cuz it's the only thing like his dad that he can do. Heck yeah i made it angsty!!!

You can also add great context to his fear of Yakuza, picture this, when he was a kid he got up in the middle of night after hearing a loud noise to search for his parents and witnessed Shio (canon Yakuza) pew pew-ing some poeple and surrounded with scary men, that probably scarred him for life that he was so terrified when Kakucho got them interfering with some, OH OH something just came to mind, if he's the son of a yakuza yeah he didn't wanna clash with other yakuza families cuz it can end in a blood shed and risk his and his family's lives.

And i'm gonna add this one not very small detail and i swear i'll shut up (for now), i know it's just a stupid headcanon that is very far from becoming reality and i don't have to take it this deep but hear me out, why their last name is Haitani and not Yotsurugi like their dad, Shio is powerful and have many enemies right ? So he simply decided to protect his children and their identity by giving them another last name likely their mother's (yk like minato with naruto style plan ?) The big problem with Rauru Tears of the Kingdom 2023's writing is that he acts as if he's owed everything and owns everyone --even when he cloaks it with the veneer of care, selflessness, or tragedy.

In my country it’s somewhat similar that 20 is worth a 100, so this thinking is cutting out a majority of the customers who don’t earn in USD. Why are you Americans so stupid hahahah

I had a feeling someone would come at me with this when I made that post, but if you are going to be advertising your prices in USD and in english on social media sites that are by default already very western-centric communities (twitter, reddit, tumblr), you are going to and most certainly intend to attract largely American and western european customers. If that is the currency you are using to advertise yourself in a freelance position where you have the opportunity to set your own labor value, then you are literally selling yourself short. Would you rather do a single drawing for 100 USD, or burn yourself out over five drawings for 20USD? The monetary outcome is the same, but in the first, your time is more respected.

Art is a luxury and a skill, not a basic life necessity like food that must be openly available to all who need it. You don't need a "majority" of customers paying you minimum wage if you have a small handful of customers paying you much greater sums.

The onus is not just on the artist to change this, though. US customers also need to stop taking advantage of international artists and pay them the same they would pay a local artist, and if they see someone setting prices like that, there had better be a meaty tip attached.

i can’t sleep rn so i went to check on smth that’s been haunting me since i rewatched the first las nevadas finale again

so when punz first confronts purpled in his cave, they bring up the fact that quackity had been torturing dream, to which purpled said was an obvious lie, and that he didn’t expect punz to have been stupid enough to believe something like that. the exact dialogue (with some bits in between) is:

punz: did you know that quackity tortured dream for six. months. six WHOLE months, purpled.

purpled: […] and the prison thing is bullshit. you know that they don’t allow ANYONE in there EVER. like, you know this. c’mon, punz, you’re SMARTER than that.

and i found that strange, because i could’ve sworn purpled knew about quackity’s actions. i knew he was gunning for the revival book, obviously, but maybe i’d gotten confused. maybe the in-universe explanation was that he’d heard quackity was after the book from slime without the prison ever having been brought up or something

so i went back to the betrayal, and sure enough, purpled brings up the prison visits when confronting quackity. it’s the first thing he confronts him about actually. and yes, admittedly, there’s no confirmation to purpled knowing about the torture necessarily. he knows as much as slime did, whatever that may have been. however, it’s made clear he does know that quackity had constant visits with dream

i think the ccs likely just forgot, however the in-universe implications are FASCINATING to me because it just goes to show how much of a conniving bitch cpurpled is. he knows quackity was allowed into the prison, and if he didn’t know about the torture, he’s pieced it together thanks to punz’s speech, but he still denies it. he wants to keep what he knows close to his chest and he wants to belittle punz as much as possible. it’s borderline gaslighting, honestly - “no, punz, dream had to be lying to you, no one gets into the prison. c’mon, you’re a smart guy, don’t tell me you’ve fallen for such a stupid story. you’re better than that.” and i love it so so much. purpled already spends that entire interaction insulting punz outright and asserting his own superiority so this added layer of boldly lying to their face is just the cherry on top 💜
