Sorry to bother you with this question or if it seems too personal but how do you do your art style? It genuinely seems so cool so I'm trying to study it but it always comes out "ehh" if it makes sense.

Do you rely on a sketch or do you just color everything first then outline? (Like those drawings you did with that crayon like textured brush)

Good question. I do draw the sketch first then i destroy it with color (I do this because idk I was used to painting like this on physical mediums) then I block out some basic outline of what I had before with brighter colors and lastly I use a bunch of gradients. Sorry that my art makes 0 sense I wish you the best luck studying it. I also do it on one layer because it makes doing the gradients easier for me but it’s okay not to do that.

so you know that shawl i made that was super pretty but also took forever? the one with the 2.75 mm hook & the 4-ply yarn? i'm writing up the pattern for it now, which is very exciting!! (more on that next week!) BUT ALSO that meant i had to figure out stitch counts, because it was just the same repeat over and over again so i never bothered before now. counting very small SCs is already hard. especially when they are very dark brown. Counting 777 of them, when you have dyscalculia and only 20 stitch markers, is it's own layer of hell.

27+48 is 20+40 makes 60 is 68 then 7-2=5. The 2 goes to 68 to make 70 and only 5 left so it is 75.

I should count how many times Silver uses his signature spell in Chapter 7 until something inevitably goes horribly wrong.
