𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐌𝐄𝐆𝐀 𝐑𝐏 𝐏𝐋𝐎𝐓𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐒𝐇𝐄𝐄𝐓 / 𝐌𝐄𝐌𝐄.
First and foremost, recall that no one is perfect, we all had witnessed some plotting once which did not went too well, be it because of us or our partner. So here have this, which may help for future plotting. It’s a lot! Yes, but perhaps give your partners some insight? Anyway BOLD what fully applies, italicize if only somewhat. Long post!
MUN NAME: Bambi / Eden AGE: 18 CONTACT: IM, Ask, Discord (search discord up on my blog)
CHARACTER(S): a shit ton
CURRENT FANDOM(S): Dragon Age, rdr2, assassin’s creed, star wars (sorta??)
FANDOM(S) YOU HAVE AN AU FOR: Modern verse, r.dr2, da, skyrim (haven’t touched my bio for it for a while so I may have to touch it up a bit) and that’s pretty much it for any au verse. They’re just crossover verses.
MY LANGUAGE(S): English.
THEMES I’M INTERESTED IN FOR RP: FANTASY / SCIENCE FICTION / HORROR / WESTERN ( my brand ) / ROMANCE / THRILLER / MYSTERY / DYSTOPIA / ADVENTURE / MODERN / EROTIC / CRIME / MYTHOLOGY / CLASSIC / HISTORY (my 2nd brand) / RENAISSANCE / MEDIEVAL / ANCIENT / WAR / FAMILY / POLITICS / RELIGION / SCHOOL / ADULTHOOD / CHILDHOOD / APOCALYPTIC / GODS / SPORT / MUSIC / SCIENCE / FIGHTS / ANGST / SMUT / DRAMA / ETC. ( I’m open to most things, it just depends on plot & muse )
PREFERRED THREAD LENGTH: ONE-LINER (it happens but I tend to not favor it) / 1 PARA / 2 PARA / 3+ PARA / NOVELLA. / ALL
ASKS CAN BE SEND BY: MUTUALS / NON-MUTUALS / PERSONALS / ANONS.
CAN ASKS BE CONTINUED?: YES / NO / OCCASIONALLY - only by Mutuals?: YES / NO
PREFERRED THREAD TYPE: CRACK / CASUAL / SERIOUS / DEEP AS HECK. / ALL
IS REALISM / RESEARCH IMPORTANT FOR YOU IN CERTAIN THEMES?: YES / NO.
ARE YOU ATM OPEN FOR NEW PLOTS?: YES / NO / DEPENDS.
DO YOU HANDLE YOUR DRAFT / ASK - COUNT WELL?: YES / NO / SOMEWHAT.
HOW LONG DO YOU USUALLY TAKE TO REPLY?: 24H / 1 WEEK / 2 WEEKS / 3+ WEEKS / MONTHS / YEARS. / DEPENDS ON MOOD AND INSPIRATION, AND IF I’M BUSY
I’M OKAY INTERACTING WITH: ORIGINAL CHARACTERS / A RELATIVE OF MY CHARACTER (AN OC) / DUPLICATES / CROSSOVERS / MULTI-MUSES / SELF-INSERTS / PEOPLE WITH NO AU VERSE FOR MY FANDOM (really depends on if you have oen in mind and we discussed it, it’s just not posted) / CANON-DIVERGENT PORTRAYALS / AU-VERSIONS.
DO YOU POST MORE IC OR OOC?: IC / OOC. ( varies, but overall I tend to post more ooc? )
ARE YOU SELECTIVE WITH FOLLOWING OTHERS?: YES / NO / DEPENDS.
BEST WAYS TO APPROACH YOU FOR RP/PLOTTING: im me or talk to me over discord
WHAT EXPECTATIONS DO YOU HOLD TOWARDS YOUR PLOTTING PARTNER: Not too much? I’d like for there to be a plot in mind, but I can understand if that’s not the case. I’ve had instances where I want to interact with a character, but have absolutely no idea in mind. Usually sendign in an ask meme can help in that regard.
WHEN YOU NOTICE THE PLOTTING IS RATHER ONE-SIDED, WHAT DO YOU DO?: I strive to not be one-sided myself, but I do have instances where I can’t think of anything. I’m not sure? Maybe ask the other person if they’re into it or if something else is at play (dealign with real life problems and it just affects their mood voerall).
HOW DO YOU USUALLY PLOT WITH OTHERS, DO YOU GIVE INPUT OR LEAVE MOST WORK TOWARDS YOUR PARTNER?: I always try to give ideas of my own if I have any. Coming to a equally agreed, general idea is fine. I’ve had instances where I was on both sides of this, but I always try to add input and be equal with the other person.
WHEN A PARTNER DROPS THE THREAD, DO YOU WISH TO KNOW?: YES / NO / DEPENDS. - AND WHY?: Sometimes I don’t notice it, but sometimes I do. Generally, I like to know, but I understand if someone doesn’t wan tto reach out. Just at least try to let me know and we’re fine.
WHAT COULD POSSIBLY LEAD YOU TO DROP A THREAD?: It depends really. Sometimes I just don’t have muse for a thread, or an instance where I have dropped a muse entirely. Sometimes it can be timing, but that’s rarely the issue. Most of the time it’s just I can’t think of anything and I feel like it hasn’t really gone anywhere? I have stuff in my queue for a while, so soemtimes it appears that way until it’s posted and I’m sorry about that.
WILL YOU TELL YOUR PARTNER?: YES / NO / DEPENDS. ( I do have instances where I was forgetful and I haven’t told my partner int he apst adn I’m sorry about that. )
IS COMMUNICATION IN THE RPC IMPORTANT TO YOU? YES / NO. - AND WHY?: I don’t need to be tlaked every day, but stronger friendships ( ooc & ic ) are formed when I talk to a person. It doesn’t need to be often, but it helps me understand your chaarcter and your approach. With that, I can come up with ideas and understand you rmuse more. I understand if people aren’t fond of ooc chatting, that’s completely understandable to me.
ARE YOU OKAY WITH ABSOLUTE HONESTY, EVEN IF IT MAY MEANS HEARING SOMETHING NEGATIVE ABOUT YOU AND/OR PORTRAYAL?: Criticsm is a good way to grow. Criticsm is different from completely bashing a perosn’s portrayal and not giving any pointers (ex: “your portrayal sucks.”). Or even for a person. If you feel like I am portraying something wrong, like depression or something similar, let me know. If you feel like Lydia’s adhd isn’t properly portrayed, let me know.
DO YOU THINK YOU CAN HANDLE SUCH SITUATION IN A MATURE WAY? YES / NO.
WHY DO YOU RP AGAIN, IS THERE A GOAL?: All of my muses are written and taken an interest in for different reasons, sometimes I don’t even know why I decided to write them. I roleplay because I love exploring different characters and dyanamics and it’s easier for me to write like this than forming my own story. But a goal in mind? Be a good rp partner I guess? Or at least try to make things interesting and try my best to portray my characters correctly or in an intruiging manner.
WISHLIST, BE IT PLOTS OR SCENARIOS: Varies on muse. I have different plots in my wishlist tag: ( wishlist ).
THEMES I WON’T EVER RP / EXPLORE: Potential triggering content ahead. Rape, noncon, abuse, incest, drug use -not alcohol- ( lyrium I can write fine, it’s just the realistic stuff I can’t do. ), inappropiate under age stuff. Themes where I write a stalker. Sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, and racism will never be mentioned by any of my characters. I won’t write smut probably ever, so themes with that I tend to not write. Very likely more, I just can’t think of anything. Within dragon age, I do have a characetr ( Sera ) who will refer to elves as elfy-elves and be pretty anti-elf, which can be triggering to others. Also, animal abuse or gore of any kind.
WHAT TYPE OF STARTERS DO YOU PREFER / DISLIKE, CAN’T WORK WITH?: I can’t work with starters that don’t really have any dialogue (handing something over with nothing vocally said is fine, but when someone is just sitting there, that’s harder to work with unless somethign is plotted). Generally, I like outside circumstances to be explained (locaiton, where in a game/setting this might be occuring, etc), I really like when dialogue is added and body landguage is explained/noted.
WHAT TYPE OF CHARACTERS CATCH YOUR INTEREST THE MOST?: Honestly? it varies. I tend to really be into deep, complex characters or characters that appear can be sterred in that direction with more added. Bubbly, energetic characters, fighters (typically female). Quick witted or flirty characters & mysterious types.
WHAT TYPE OF CHARACTERS CATCH YOUR INTEREST THE LEAST?: I hate using the term but mary-sue/gary-sue. I hate saying that, but if a character has no flaws, I won’t be interested. Or characters that seem to just be placed there with no development.
WHAT ARE YOUR STRONG ASPECTS AS RP PARTNER?: I try to add as much effort, or at least a lot of effort, in replies & interaction. I am very open-minded and when I get passionate about soemthing, you can really tell. I am easy-going, so feel free to tell me if you want to drop a thread or have a concern. I tend to work well of other’s people’s ideas, usually able to add my own.
WHAT ARE YOUR WEAK ASPECTS AS RP PARTNER?: I am slow and my queue tends to be slow since I try not to overhwelm myself and stress myself out to the heavens. I try to reach out, but sometimes I just can’t think of anything to say. My muse can be very flickle at times, so replies to stuff can vary. My msue tends to be more for ask memes than replies at times.
DO YOU RP SMUT?: YES / NO / DEPENDS.
DO YOU PREFER TO GO INTO DETAIL?: YES / NO / DEPENDS.
ARE YOU OKAY WITH BLACK CURTAIN, FADE TO BLACK?: YES / NO.
WHEN DO YOU RP SMUT? MORE OUT OF FUN OR CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT?:
ANYTHING YOU WOULD NOT WANT TO RP THERE?: all of it
ARE SHIPS IMPORTANT TO YOU?: YES / NO
WOULD YOU SAY YOUR BLOG IS SHIP-FOCUSED?: YES / NO. ( I love ships, but I am selective with it and require chemistry -unless I know your muse and you occ super, super well-. It’s nice but it isn’t he full focus of this blog. I want to explore my characters and witness other people’s characters and their development. )
DO YOU USE READ MORE?: YES / NO / SOMETIMES WHEN I WRITE LONG STUFF.
ARE YOU: MULTI-SHIP / SINGLE-SHIP ( Jacob ) / DUAL-SHIP — MULTIVERSE / SINGLEVERSE.
WHAT DO YOU LOVE TO EXPLORE THE MOST IN YOUR SHIPS?: Varies on muse, but for my rdr2 characters I’ve been really wanting a sorta of “outside” character where they aren’t directly involved in the gang, but they are in a relationship with oen of their members. Where my muse,w hose in the gang, will tell you rmuse about it and the whole aftermath of everything. Where their partner will understand to an extent, but try to undestand? if that makes sense? I also want enemies to work on a job/project together and deal with that. But this all also varies on muse.
ARE YOU OKAY WITH PRE-ESTABLISHED RELATIONSHIPS?: YES / NO / DEPENDS. ( I find it easier to write to assume people knwo each other, but an immediate friendship isn’t required. Like my muse may know yours or hear about yours, but they haven’t directly met you before ).
► SECTION ABOUT YOUR MUSE.
- WHAT COULD POSSIBLY MAKE YOUR MUSE INTERESTING TOWARDS OTHERS, WHY SHOULD THEY RP WITH THIS PARTICULAR CHARACTER OF YOURS NOW, WHAT POSSIBLE PLOTS DO THEY OFFER?: I have a large amount of different muses, but all of my muses all bring something new to the table. Want a guy who seems nice, but can be an asshole with a flick of a dime, who has a secret betrayal plot hidden behind his back? Pick Robert. Want a guy who’s humurous but seems to be hiding under a fake persona? Pick Charley. Want a female assassin who’s very talented anr professional in her work to a fault with her work-alcoholic ways? Pick Evie. Want a sweet and caring character with a heart of gold and will give you advice and comfort? Pick Cassie It depends on the plot, too, but I try my best to add as much to reply to to another. If you ever want more added, tell me! I could give multiple plots, so it’s really hard to put something down.
WITH WHAT TYPE OF MUSES DO YOU USUALLY STRUGGLE TO RP WITH?: If someone isn’t interested or outwardly hateful of my muse without a valid reason when starting to interact. Beign enemies is fine, but maybe we could write how it became that way? This really varies, so don’t let this steer you away. Just give me something to work with, brign soemthing to the tbale, and I’m usually fine.
WHAT DO THEY DESIRE, WHAT IS THEIR GOAL?: Varies on muse. Robert: fame/recognition, a legend made out of him. Charley: just to live life happy? He wants to be okay money-wise. Evie: to take down the Templars & help the people of London, not fail and always be successful and outwit her foes. Cassie: everyone around her happy. Sean: His gang to be successful, btu also be sucessful himself, he wants to be admired as well.
WHAT CATCHES THEIR INTEREST FIRST WHEN MEETING SOMEONE NEW?: Just using the same muses lmao. Robert: Someone who just listens to him and isn’t quick to make fun of him. Charley: If they have a sense of humor and someone he can stand, he’s pretty much fine tbh. Evie: If they can give her any information or aid with her cause. Cassie: How they are feeling. If they let her just listen and seem more open than closed off. Very personality-based. Sean: soemtimes looks, but mostly if they have a similar personality as him.
WHAT DO THEY VALUE IN A PERSON?: Evie: devotion, kind spriit, efficiency, loyalty. Robert: willingness and empathy despite having little himself. Charley: Honesty. Cassie: Consistency. Sean: reliability.
WHAT THEMES DO THEY LIKE TALKING ABOUT?: generally all of them like books (except Sean), events around them, their interests.
WHICH THEMES BORE THEM?: For half of them, anything mundane or boring. Anything that isn’t relating to anything that’s spoken around / surrounds them.
DID THEY EVER WENT THROUGH SOMETHING TRAUMATIC?: Robert & Charley (more Robert) witnessed a murder, Robert actually doing that act. Cassie: hearing about the violent nature of her father’s death. Sean: the things he went through with the bounty hunters.
WHAT COULD LEAD TO AN INSTANT KILL?: A gunshot or anything that could overpower them.
IS THERE SOMEONE /-THING THEY HATE?: Sean: rich people, Scots for some reason, English people sometimes. When someone disagrees with him on soemthing he is passionate about. Pronouncing and Irish word wrong. O’Driscolls & anyone that’s an enemy of the gang. Evie: Templars, Starrick & Lucy Thorne. People who lie or misled her or others. Injustice. Robert: Someone makign fun of him tbh. Charley: People who don’t plan out anything or are really reckless.
IS YOUR MUSE EASY TO APPROACH?: YES / NO. - BEST WAY TO APPROACH THEM?: Talk to them. Initiate a conversation. Pretty much that across the board.
SOMETHING YOU MAY STILL WANT TO POINT OUT ABOUT YOUR MUSE?: None of my muses are perfect. Some are worse than others, but generally msot of my muses will listen to you and usually be nice to you if you appraoch them well. All my muses are different from one another, so expect different results / reactions
CONGRATS!!! You managed it, now tag your mutuals! ♥
TAGGED: stole it
TAGGING: steal it and pelase tag me ! I want to see your results

who is your least favourite character in 1?
oof probably tony??? runner up alyssa’s mom?? and also i have bad vibes ab teri but tbh i forget what (if anything) she did in s2 so maybe i am being too judgmental lol
what is your favourite episode of 4?
oh GOSH probably has to be the snow ball i mean come on
what is your favourite season of 5?
literally the amount of times ive jumped in and out of this show is hilarious and i really know nothing about the overarching storylines so lets go....... whatever one where rick goes rick crazy and bites out a guy’s jugular. i looked it up and there are so many separate google suggested searches along the lines of “episode where rick bites guys neck” and i m not sure how to feel about this??? anyway apparently this was season 4???????? I didn't even think i showed up watching this show till at least like s5 but what the heck the verdict says im EXCESISVLEY OLD!!!!! this must've been one of the first eps i watched and i mean who doesn’t love a good man ripping out somebody’s jugular. i looked thru the s4 wiki and yeah, i actually remember a fair amount of the later eps so this must've been the season i started watching. checks out.
who is your favourite couple in 3?
ugh TOSSUP adam/eric (yes i recognize why some ppl find it problematic but i think they’re growing and im hoping the best for them) vs. ola/lily 2 FAB duos
but oh gosh im actually gonna say adam/eric bc come on from the very first episode of the entire show i was onto that dynamic and its very satisfying to see them start embracing it and growin up and changing and to see how they deal with lots of heavy stuff and keep coming back to this strange and evolving bond
who is your favourite couple in 2?
i mean i suppose syd/dina there’s not much else there lol
what is your favourite episode of 1?
oh my word, thank u for literally asking me this. i will never stop talking about it. s1e3 is,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, my whole life im tearing up just thinking ab it............... the dance scene is the only thing that matters BYE
what is your favourite episode of 5?
L o L see my above obsession with rick going rick crazy. i literally use the phrase rick crazy irl thanks to that
what is your favourite season of 2?
SIKE there’s only 1
how long have you watched 1?
i just found it last year actually very close to this time of year.... we’re probably coming up on just about a year of me loving every second of it
how did you become interested in 3?
i actually was very wary of watching it because i just didn’t know if i’d like it that much or if it would be the kind of humor im into i was raised fairly religious (now much more questionable on that front but still sort of involved in the whole thing??) and i just didn’t know if it would be my thing but after i LOVED TEOTFW my pal kept telling me to try sexed, its similar (eeeehhhh idk if its that similar lol???), etc and like i said at first i was skeptical but for some reason one time i decided i’d watch it and zoink its fabulous
who is your favourite actor in 4?
oh millie bobby brown
which do you prefer, 1, 2, or 5?
1 always fave show ever
which show have you seen more episodes of, 1 or 3?
i think...... i looked it up and the amount of eps are the SAME GOTCHA
if you could be anyone from 4, who would you be?
omg el dUH im obsessed with her when i shaved my head (among many other things I thought) i was like i will harness her energy..!!!!!!!!...... that sounds dumb but its facts she’s so strong and does the right thing and has such a range of like idk identity expression that is so unique and cool and confident and well bye. wish that were me!!!!!!
would a crossover between 3 and 4 work?
Otis helping the older kids thru their relationship problems????? sign me uppp bye
pair two characters in 1 who would make an unlikely but strangely okay couple?
obvi Jalyssa is endgame nothin else about it but since there’s so few characters idk......... alyssa and bonnie would be very weird but like.... for the sake of just contemplating maybe they’d start out annoyed with each other and both do some good snarks and actually end up getting to like each other and how neither one of them messes around they just..... go for things? and tell it like it is? and ultimately act on how they feel??
overall, which show has the better storyline, 3 or 5?
hmmmmm idk i don’t feel qualified to judge TWD bc i haven’t watched the whole thing so i will go for sexed on this one
which has better theme music, 2 or 4?
uhh i think ianowt JUST has soundtracking i dont think it has title sequence much which would make st’s better, but if im remembering correctly ianowt has the better overall soundtrack i think st has ramped up its soundtracking capacity in the most recent season but i remember for quite a while i would watch it and think ok........ but soundtrack when???
omg this was so long but so fun!!!! thx again for the tag you fabulous human being @pettykaspbrak
I’ll tag: @emullz @stellar-alley @victorydoll @yeetthedragon @blog-anxiousscreenwriter and whoever else decides they want to undertake this massive expedition

Rules
Here they are! I know I recently answered an ask about our Rules/Guidelines but I hadn’t had the chance to update the Rules on the Blog yet. These Rules below are the new and updated Rules. These are our expectations of the people who follow out Blog but also to Rules that we as the Mods follow when responding to requests or questions. I hope these are good enough for all of you and that you can all respect them properly.
COMMON RULES
~ This is an 18+ Blog! There is no exception to this, almost everything we write here will contain sexual content in some way. This is not a place for Minors and as such, they should take care as to avoid our page. We make no apologies to those who stumble onto our Blog and are offended to find the content is nasty, kinky material because we make it very clear this is an 18+ Blog and no place for children!
~ SPOILERS!! Can’t make it any clearer that by following this blog you run the risk of finding spoilers. We make no apologies if you chance a look and are greeted with spoilers, this is not a spoiler free blog, there will be Manga spoilers here! So please, do not come bitch at us about finding spoiler content on our blog, it will be ignored!
~ We mods here on the blog, cover many different subjects while diving into our writings. Things can range from fluff to full blown kinky material within the blink of an eye. Be warned though, we also cover subjects like angst, depression and anxiety here on the blog. So please, be aware of that before delving too far.
~ All posts on the Blog are tagged as they need to be. If we believe that something is deserving of a Trigger Warning, it will be written in bold at the top of the request what the Trigger Warning is for. We tag things so that people can avoid reading content that they do not wish to be exposed to. Every now and again we may tag some things wrong, if that is to happen please let us know in a polite manner and without abusing us.
~ Any and all characters written for on this blog are AGED UP, even if it says they are in school or class. We will not write for minors in sexual content, so please don’t even ask for it.
~ Please be sure to be kind, not only to one another but also to the Mods of this blog. We write this content for free and we do our best to tailor the requests to your desires, so please keep in mind that any requests here will take time and energy. Keep in mind also, that all of us here at this blog are only HUMAN and have lives outside of the blog, screaming at us about your request not having been finished yet or taking too long will more than likely result in it not getting done
~ NO FIGHTING!! We will not tolerate fighting of any kind here on this Blog, no matter if it be with us or fellow followers. This entails and hate towards ships that you don’t fancy, if you don’t like a certain ship and we happen to write for it then please, don’t leave rude comments about it and just move on. Being toxic towards us and followers will see you blocked from the Blog; we will not tolerate that here!
~ Please be sure to check out our Masterlist if you find yourself wanting to read for a specific character or from a specific Mods works. Mobile users will have to search for the tag #masterlist in order to access the Masterlist and if it doesn’t work, we’re sorry, there really isn’t much we can do.
ASK BOX
~Mods on this Blog will open their Ask Box individually and take a specific number of requests before deciding to close their Ask Box again. Each time the Ask Box is opened by a Mod, there will be an announcement as well as the Bio of the Blog being changed to state which Mod is open. When their Ask Box is closed again, the Bio will be changed to state so and another announcement will be made to say the Mod is closing. Please, pay attention to the Bio before sending in requests.
~ If more than one Mod happens to be open at any one time, you will need to be sure to SPECIFY which Mod you’re sending in an Ask for, otherwise the Ask may end up getting deleted if neither Mod can figure out who it belongs to.
~ The only exception we have for requests being sent in while our Ask Box is closed are EMERGENCY Requests! Even then, we Mods will decided whether the request is really an emergency or just someone trying to be cheeky with us and get an ask in. Any requests sent in while the Ask Box is closed will be rejected and there for DELETED!
~ Please be sure to check up on what characters our Mods write for, not all of us write for the same characters and there are some characters that we absolutely refuse to write for. Please be mindful that some Mods will not write for certain things either, we ask that you respect our wished and follow the guidelines we set up for you. A list of characters that we write for is normally posted when we announce that we are opening our Ask Boxes, make sure to read it thoroughly.
~ There is a limit to three characters per every headcanons request that is sent in, this is to ensure the response doesn’t become too long or too repetitive as it tends to do.
~ We do not judge people for their kinks that they may ask of us here or the type of request they may send in, hell, we’re a bunch of perverse people anyways so we’ve probably seen worse. As much as we have nothing against generic requests, we tend to find it hard to work with them as there isn’t much to work with. We are only human after all and unfortunately that means that even we have limits to our imagination. Here is an example of what not to send in: “Can I get sfw and nsfw hc’s for (Character).” Instead trying adding a bit of detail about what you would like the headcanons to be about for example: “Can I get some hc’s for (Character) where they punish S/O after they’ve been cheeky towards them?” It’s nice and simple, but not too simple and there is plenty of room for us to expand on it. Please don’t go overboard though, there is no point sending us in a break down of the whole story and expecting us to expand on it, it’s just impossible as there is nothing left to work with; such requests will be automatically rejected.
~ MANNERS! We can not stress enough how important it is to use manners with us! Please, use your manners? As we have said before, we Mods here on the Blog are only human and not machines, we don’t just take orders. So please, can you be sure to throw in a little Please and Thank You when you’re making your requests of us?
~ No Spamming! Please, do not take it upon yourself to spam our inbox with requests. WE love to write and all but when we receive several requests in a row for the same character and they’re similar, we will not write for them. Spamming is unnecessary and unfair on the other followers of the blog. Please be mindful of the fact other people may want to make requests of us, not just you.
~ Character x Character requests are welcome here now. For a while there we weren’t writing for Character x Character and were keeping it for events only, but now we will write for it on a general basis so long as you stick to the rules and guidelines for asks and make sure that the Mod open writes Character x Character.
~ Hell, to the Heck NO! We will not under any circumstances write for Mineta or Endeavour here on this Blog, those characters are taboo here and are not talked about! There are several subjects that we as a whole refuse to write for, under no circumstances will we EVER write for Paedophilia or anything else that contains/involves underage sexual conduct. To elaborate of that, we will not write for situations where reader has been exposed to sexual situations as a child or anything else a child shouldn’t have to endure, that sort of thing is not tolerated here! We do not take student x teacher requests here either. The exception to that being if the reader is the teacher in their early years and the students in their last year of school!
~ Please be advised, if you ask one of the Mods for a darker theme such as angst, depression or anxiety. Please expect to get a darker themed response. We will NOT tolerate people being angry at us because a darker themed ask got a dark themed response, we can only work with what we’re given!
~ Reading the Mods Do’s and Don’ts before sending in asks is important, that information can be found in the Mods section on the blog, Mobile Users will have to search for the #mods in order to find this information. Any request that breaches a Mods Do’s and Don’ts will be deleted.
~ We reserve the right to delete any and all requests that we don’t exactly feel comfortable writing for, even if it’s not precisely breaching any rules. For instance, some Mods my be more open to writing extreme kinks or certain scenarios than others.
~ Anonymity is a privilege and one that can be revoked at any stage! Being snarky or rude to the Mods of this blog will result in the ability to send in Asks on Anonymous being removed. This is usually something we only do for a short period of time before restoring it but it can become permanent should problems be recurring.

I'm sorry but I've been a follower of yours blog for a few months I think even a year now and as much as I respect you as a writer and love how you write for characters and settings I'm a little disturbed by going in your search engine of finding out that you are a wincest fan? Do you still support wincest? Or was that just a thing in the past you done. It makes me kinda uncomfortable now reading your stories and know that my fav writer liked incest
Okay, gosh, let’s unpack this! There’re at least two questions, and one very big and somewhat concerning assumption about the nature of fanfic, here. So let’s start with that…
First - and I’m not saying this assumption’s your fault, especially if you are a Younger Fandom Person; this was much more widely understood even, oh, about five years ago, I think - let’s be very clear: reading or writing something in fanfic does not equate to approving of that thing in real life. Got it? Let’s say it again:
Reading or writing something in fanfic does not equate to approving of that thing in real life.
Think of all the fanfic tropes that deal with non-con, or dubious consent, or extreme kink, or kidnapping, or torture scenes, or whatever else you’re thinking about now that I’ve brought it up. People read and write fic for all sorts of reasons - to explore and interrogate reactions to trauma or desire, to think about the various sides and desires of characters (and by implication all of humanity), to personally cope with situations that may’ve happened, to reclaim pleasure in a safe fictional space, to explore a “what if” in a safe fictional space - you can never really know someone’s reason for writing a fic unless they flat-out tell you, and even then that’s just what they choose to disclose. (I’ve written non-con, to pick an example - I’ve certainly written it in at least one RPF story, and I obviously don’t wish that upon the actor in question in real life! I’ve also written kidnapping and torture scenes! I’m planning to write a sex pollen Evanstan fic, the sequel to the witch!Seb and temporarily-hexed-into-a-puppy!Chris fic! Which hopefully will be a little bit funny and a little bit hot and decadent, and will also deal with questions of consent and the first time they have sex in this relationship and some related Big Themes in a safe and playful context, but which, again, I would never want to see actually happen to them in real life - that’d be genuinely horrific! Separation of fiction and reality, right? And also Seb’s not a witch, as far as we know! And Chris Evans doesn’t randomly turn into a puppy!) (Well, maybe that last one… :-p) (Kidding, kidding…)
So! Okay, we’re all clear on that? Good! Moving on to the question part, which is really two questions: did I write Wincest, and is it something I still do?
To the second, because that’s a shorter answer: no, I don’t write any SPN-related fic anymore, and haven’t for a few years. Mostly it’s out of sheer disillusionment with the show overall - I still have a soft spot for Sam and Dean, and for Jared and Jensen, and I still watch the show (it’s research; I’ve gotten a couple of academic articles out of it), and I might still occasionally reblog a cute pic or two or react to a massive plot development. But I’m not really invested emotionally anymore, and I have to be, in order to write fic of any type. So don’t be expecting any SPN fic of any type, Wincest or Dean/Castiel (honestly, unpopular opinion time - and this is my personal opinion, no reflection on anyone who feels differently: I don’t actually like Castiel as a character…) or, heck, I don’t know, John Winchester/Bobby Singer, none of that, to show up on this blog, at least nothing new. :-p
To the first: yes, I wrote…two? three? I forget? Sam/Dean fics, like maybe ten or so (has it been that long?! when was season four? that was around when I posted the first one) years ago; the first one was by request, and then I wrote a couple more because that one opened the floodgates, kind of, and I had a couple of ideas. I also wrote, oh, two or three J2 RPF fics. I was still learning how to be a writer and they probably aren’t very good, honestly. The context for this was right around seasons 3-5 - and, frankly, Sam and Dean were presented as the most important people to each other, co-dependent (hell, the show even said, as I recall, “erotically” co-dependent), Sam had demon blood things going on anyway, and they were obviously the people without whom each other’s lives would not be complete (I’d argue that this dynamic has shifted, but that’s a whole new post), and that invited exploration of this kind of relationship, with the heightened and (arguably, but academics have persistently noted this in the show’s gaze and use of narrative tropes, particularly in early seasons; there’s been scholarly work on this) passionately charged intensity. (Again, see above, about exploring narratives and spaces in fiction that one would not condone in real life!)
So, am I embarrassed about it? Nah, or only insofar as the writing’s not great and I totally did things like the Bathroom Revelation Cliche, and so on. It’s part of my fandom history, and it’s fanfic, not real life, with all the context surrounding that fictional relationship. (Better fic writers than me have spent a lot of time explaining why Sam/Dean is worth exploring - there’s some brilliant meta on that, or there used to be, back on LJ; I don’t have any good links anymore unfortunately - I’m sure you can go and find them if you want to look into fandom history and context and culture, as we should all probably do from time to time!) But do I write that pairing anymore? Nah, though not because I’ve decided it’s Morally Wrong or whatever; no, I’m just out of room to care, or to care deeply enough to be inspired to create, anyway.
Hope that answers that!

Identity in Words
When we meet people, when we are reintroduced to those we haven’t seen in many years, when we draft a cover letter, one question that must be answered repeatedly is: “What do you do?”
I am discovering that for me, it’s a question increasingly more difficult to answer with any accuracy. And I am too old to answer with a shrug and “I don’t know.”
A recent series of changes have caused me to think more deeply about the whole idea of identity; we define ourselves so much by the company we keep and how we make our living. Usually there’s a certain amount of crossover between the two; the after-work drink of a Friday evening, the birthday celebrations over lunch hour, the common themes of cheering babies and mourning parents, as we travel together proscribed hours per week, cover one another’s sick leaves, and nod in general understanding at both the news and the gossip.
Sudden employment dismissal felt like somebody whopped me across the face hard with a large cold fish (deliberate melodrama for the sake of the point here). The accompanying tang of salt sea air was bracing, but my jaw remains tender. Amid addressing the resultant practical matters, I find myself thinking about how to tell the story. Which is where I am going with this.
My Mum instilled a love of stories in me; she read to me constantly and encouraged me to ask people about themselves, watch classic films with her, and wonder always about the ‘why’ of things. Her parents and siblings, if you wound them up just right, could tell stories for days. They were not people who read classics or attended live theater (grandchildren’s school plays notwithstanding), but I grew to do those things myself.
I have written for as long as I can remember, pretty much as soon as I could form letters with a pencil. I recall understanding I had hit the jackpot in Family Brownie Points when I answered a primary school fill-in-the-blank question: “Happiness Is_______?” with: “When Grandma comes to visit.” I meant it. Grandma was no-nonsense but made it plain she loved me, and she had a deep, dirty laugh that was totally at odds with her otherwise very lady-like demeanor. I could get lost in her cornflower eyes and the powdered wrinkles that framed them when she smiled at me. It was hard to remember sometimes that her life had taken her to the rim of Hell and back multiple times, such was her open tenderness. She had her flaws of course, but I could always get her telling stories. She laughed hardest at herself. She died when I was 31; we spoke by phone several times per week until then no matter where I was; how I wish now that I had stuck a voice recorder next to her teacup.
I wrote a Remembrance Day skit when I was in Grade 4. Later, reams of dreadful poetry full of adolescent angst and self-righteous scorn. Tried songwriting with interesting results. As many teenagers do. In my 20s I wrote a novel just to see if I could. In long-hand, on foolscap. Pure crap, but I still have it somewhere…because of the feelings I had when I was working on it; shutting the world out and letting my imagination fly. Frustrated at not finding the right combinations of words to say what I thought I meant. Just hating to not be able to be clear, to risk the possibility of being misunderstood. I didn’t know then that I was simply trying to be heard, by my own self. (Therapy eventually took care of that.)
Highschool, College, and University English courses were fun. I loved the exchange of ideas in class, enjoyed Shakespeare, mangling Middle-English, deliberately chewing the scenery in recitation. Spent lots of time with little theatre companies, onstage and backstage, wrote scenes and articles, newsletters, and reviews. Then grown-up life got in the way, making a living took priority, and for many years I didn’t write anything more than the odd cranky Letter to The Editor.
Those 25 years took me through various types of recreation and social service jobs, a couple of relationships, lots of soul-searching. My creative urges found other outlets in body therapies, gardening, home renovations, volunteering. I made the mistake of showing that first fledgling novel to someone, who read it and pronounced: “Well, it doesn’t suck.” It hasn’t seen the light of day since. I am such a coward sometimes.
When we moved to Winnipeg in 2009, I began a new novel, sent a few chapters to a friend in Ontario, who liked it, a lot. She regularly threatens to beat me to death with those pages if I don’t finish the thing. I have left her hanging for 9 years. Because the story began to ring a little too true, and I ran away. Again. Some of us are slow learners.
Becoming 50 started an interesting series of awakenings; like a cascade of pebbles loosened by a casual slip at the top of a mountain path. They skitter and bounce, gathering momentum, altering the landscape in subtle ways as gravity wins. I’ve spent 56 years carving that path up the mountain, resting along the way in shallow caves, on sunny crags, occasionally knocked on my ass by storms. The view from here is quite something, but I look at those tumbling pebbles and realize they are knocking loose some inhibitions and falsehoods as the debris they have become. On my way up, I’ve taken things out of my survival kit; lightened the load by leaving worn out shields and masks on the side of the track. I’ve shed any number of illusions, and it’s such a liberating feeling. I lack the time or the patience for things that used to take up too much space in my consciousness; if I am clean and presentable, who cares if I remain forever in blue jeans? If I come from a place of kindness, who cares what others think of my opinions? They are still subject to change after all. Life will do that, right up until the final moment.
The last couple of years have involved carefully calculated risks. I’ve been blogging steadily, and become involved with a local story-telling series. Both have been incredibly gratifying, and I am delighted to discover that while constructive feedback and compliments are wonderful and sometimes surprising, the real surprise is discovering that I have been doing it all for the pure joy of writing. Didn’t see that gift coming, even if it may have been obvious to people who know me. They shake their heads a lot, with good reason.
I’ve been tentatively promoting a small business in personal biographies for 5 months, and its growing, thanks to the cheerleading of key friends and mentors. It is to be my retirement income, and I can do it from anywhere, including the middle of nowhere if we find the right acreage at the right price. Simple sustainable living, mortgage-free, and writing down the stories that other people tell me, for a basic remuneration. Paradise found. That big hard fish-slap means I have been set as free as I am ever going to be, to make those words pay.
I don’t have it in me to be an innovative journalist. I’m not particularly good at fiction, unless its under a tree or by a campfire with little kids begging for a whopper; a different kind of fish-story. I have two strengths: to listen and to observe, then put those things into written words. Softening the edges of the world around me allows pictures to form in my head, brings the taste of delicious, playful prose to my mouth, sends my fingers skittering over the keyboard like those pebbles down the mountainside path; revealing stuff I never knew that I knew. It’s humbling, and also cautiously exciting. Full-circle. Happiness is: ________.
I’m not sure what makes someone a writer. Is it when they have been published (yes, in small ways), won awards (yes, a couple)? Or is it when we realize we have done it all our lives in some way or another and aren’t likely to stop any time soon? Is it a professional designation or a personal one, or shifting degrees of both?
From this place two-thirds of my way up my mountain, I am hereby kicking a big rock in the direction of letting others dictate my job description. I release myself to the joy of just doing, hoping my words might also give others some pleasure and make it easier for them to tell their own stories about whatever the heck they choose. We meet one another in the shared experiences; the public embarrassment, the secret fear, the unavoidable loss, the happy surprise. #MeToo is the most poignant and powerful example of this collective tapestry-weaving I have seen in my lifetime. Our stories can change the world. One word at a time until the ground swells beneath our feet and false mountains are shaken till they crumble into dust. I have decided that what I “do” is write. Which makes me a writer.
Well, that was easy.

so i get asked how i make my tags quite a lot. i finally decided to make a post for all of the stuff i use & just other things to keep in mind. first thing to be aware of when you’re making tags is that if you have too many symbols then your tag won’t work properly. tumblr made a limit for whatever reason. normal text and spaces take up much less “room” than fancy things, so you’ll want to keep it kinda short. resources are under the cut. this is okay to reblog.
random thing about tags is that only the first five show up in the tags. so if you’re tagging a url, do it in the beginning so that they can find it easily. then do your other tags. also, please tag your nsfw with the basic nsfw, not just the fancy stuff. really. it helps.
alright. for the fancy text i use this handy website. if the link doesn’t work, it’s http://messletters.com. the most comprehensive one when it comes to tags, i find is this one to be easiest to read: ʜᴇʟʟᴏ ᴛʜɪs ɪs ᴛᴇxᴛ. if you haven’t liked anything it’s the 9th one down, i believe. this is closely followed by this one: ʰᵉˡˡᵒ ᵗʰᶤˢ ᶤˢ ᵗᵉˣᵗ. you can write whatever the heck you want by typing in to the red bar. if you want it backwards, no problem! there’s a bunch of options on the left as you can see, under “my text.”
what is liking? on the right side of the stuff where the text shows up (that you can copy and paste) there’s a thumbs up and thumbs down. i haven’t personally tried the thumbs down, but i assume it makes the text option disappear. if you do it on accident, clear your history for the site, i believe, or block cookies, as cookies are the only way for it to remember you. the thumbs up makes the font you thumbs-upped go to the top of the page so it’s easily accessible — no scrolling needed!! this is especially helpful if the font is farther down.
what about what the fonts looks like on my theme? if your theme makes your tags be capitalized, it’ll look kinda weird. you’ll wanna change that so that it doesn’t change. this shows up in a lot of tags nowadays, including agirli.ngrey’s theme. how do you do that? well, i use their theme, so here’s my example:
basically, delete anything in that area that says text-transform:uppercase; and you’ll be fine. make sure to delete the entire line. what does it look like if i don’t? well —
that. it basically looks really weird because parts of it are capitalized. as in the tRaSh talkS. compare that to the picture below, where it looks much more uniform.
next, how do i keep all of my tags even when i haven’t used them in a while? personally i put them in a tumblr post in my drafts. this means that if one of them isn’t showing up for whatever reason, i don’t have to scroll through my blog in the hopes that i posted a whole bunch of them earlier. if they take up too much space, i would put the ones that you use more often on the top, and the rest under a read more.
what about symbols? how do you do them? well, there’s a handy dandy post. i’d suggest keeping it in your bookmarks so it’s easily accessible, but you do you. and in case tumblr messes up the redirection system again, here’s the url: http://jaffagazanian.tumblr.com/post/5528389956/cool-characters-symbols. you can combine them any way you want, though be careful for what some of them mean, like if you aren’t familiar with the commun.ist symbol or whatever. searching them on google may help you out.
what should i include in my verse/relationship/whatever tags? well, there’s a whole bunch of things in the verse tags of tumblr (tumblr.com/tagged/verse-tags) as well as otp tags (just change “verse” to “otp” or whatever you’d like!
i think that’s it. any questions? contact me. i hope this helps!

FAQ
Posting this as a post to replace our previous “page”.
Feel free to drop us an “Ask” if you can’t find what you are looking for here!
Hey, I’m kinda new in town, can you tell me more about Alpha/Beta/Omega // Omegaverse?
Oh boy, can we! We could probably talk about it all night! But the best way to discover more is to read some fics, because everyone has their own take on the A/B/O AU and some writers even write several stories set within completely different A/B/O societal structures.
The basics you need to know: Society is usually split into two genders (male/female) and three secondary genders (alpha/beta/omega) which come with a variety of anatomical differences as well as societal norms and dynamics. Biologically the most important aspect is the heat/rut mating cycle that drives alphas and omegas to mate. You will notice Mpreg, yes male omegas can get pregnant! And also see the word “knotting” a lot, and there’s no way we can address this without confirming - yes, knotting, like dogs. This whole thing rose out of Supernatural fandom werewolf fics so… what can we tell ya? But the most important aspect of many fics is the societal dynamics. You will find lots of parallels drawn within fics with feminism and gender and sexual equality.
If that sounds like something you’re interested in, then dive right in! If you want to know more, do check out this awesome Alphas, Betas, Omegas: A Primer by norabombay
How does the Library work?
On a weekly basis we trawl tumblr and AO3 for new content.
Then on a weekly basis (usually Sundays and occasionally Wednesdays or both), we reblog and crosspost everything we’ve collected, along with anything you have submitted to us or @ at us.
We will crosspost from AO3 (with an @ to the author if we know their tumblr handle). However we always try to reblog from tumblr if there is also a tumblr post, so that the creator gets the blog traffic.
Where can I find things?
Originally we started out by logging everything in Pages. Which was not only time consuming but also it turned out that tumblr hadn’t made the pages function available on Apps - which is how many people access tumblr. As such we discontinued updating these pages, but instead have now set up this MASTERPOST.
The Masterpost links through to tags on the blog so that you can click a tag/pairing/theme/dynamic you like and scroll through everything we have so far reblogged. The Masterpost is constantly updated (so do always check back), as new tags/pairings/dynamics, etc are added.
NB: In the future we may reformat the pages to host all completed fics from AO3 that fit out remit, but this is going to be down to time constraints of the mods.
Can I link you my own fic/art/gifs/etc?
Yes absolutely! We will blog your own work or any recommendations you have, as long as they are Hannigram/rarepairs/AUs etc and A/B/O in nature. Feel free to send it as an Ask, submit it via the blog, or @ us in your tumblr post so we don’t miss it.
What about where only a single chapter in an ongoing fic is A/B/O ?
You are more than welcome to link it to us, but where possible link us the specific chapter(s) and/or make clear which chapter(s) are A/B/O so we can make this easily accessible for the readers.
Tagging on Tumblr
On a weekly basis we search for various Hannigram and A/B/O related tags within tumblr to find your posts and reblog them.
To help up find you, please tag your posts as Hannibal and/or Hannigram and include at least one variation of an A/B/O tag - such as omegaverse, alpha hannibal or omega hannibal, etc.
Important Note: This is not fool proof. If your blog is marked as private it may not come up in the searches. Also - we know from experience that tumblr tags do not always work regardless of the settings and searches we use. For example the posts of almost all our Mods never show up in searches despite being tagged correctly, Overcoming fic updates show up only 50% of the time, many ongoing fic and art series that we know of rarely show if at all. Please tag anyway because we still do find a lot that way!
I linked you/posted/blogged some a fic/art/etc but it hasn’t been reblogged yet!
Our current schedule is that we run a queue of reblogs and AO3 crossposts every Sundays (and occasionally on Wednesdays). However, there will be times this might not be possible due to life constraints of the mods.
If Sunday has come and gone and you were not reblogged please feel free to send us an Ask to double check we saw it. As always, we’d always prefer to get things more than once than not at all.
Regarding Asks - we tend to save these up and answer a few in one go (usually not on a Sunday). So replies to Asks may get posted any day. If we anticipate a long delay in replying to an Ask one of our Mods will possible message you to let you know that we are on it!
Canon, non-canon, AUs and Rare Pairs!
We will reblog all of these as long as they fit out remit of being A/B/O in nature. As always, to ensure we find them on tumblr please do let us know about them in our Ask box or @ us.
On a weekly basis we search the Hannibal (TV) and Hannibal Extended Universe tags for A/B/O fics. We strongly recommend you include your rarepair fics under Hannibal Extended Universe. See this info post for more details.
We also encourage creators to also tag as Hannibal and/or Hannigram on tumblr so that it isn’t missed by us or other readers.
What about reccing non-con, underage, specific kinks etc?
It isn’t going to be to everyone’s taste but we won’t censor submissions/reblogs/crossposts. We only ask that they are clearly tagged where appropriate (including AO3) so that readers know what they are getting!
Can you link my tumblr name in the library pages or crossposts?
We’re can’t @ tumblrs in the library pages, as unfortunately they don’t work the same as posts. However, where the tumblr name is known or given we will include them in any crossposts from AO3.
What if I see something mistagged or logged wrong in the library/Masterpost?
Please do get in touch with us via the Ask box if you think there are any errors, or with suggestions how to make this more user friendly. We are totally not infallible, so we welcome any and all feedback.
Is there anything you won’t reblog?
For the sake of our Follower’s dashboards, we will not reblog overly long tumblr posts that do not include a “keep reading” page cut.
We also don’t currently reblog works inspired by Overcoming (only the fic and podfic updates) as it has it’s own blog that we would just be duplicating - see post here for details. The only exceptions being works tagged specifically for one of our infrequent fests.
We reserve the right not to reblog or crosspost from AO3 anything from creators who have abused or harassed this blog directly or any of it’s mods. We’re sorry to have to add this, but based on events that occurred we don’t believe we should be compelled to cater to anyone who has behaved poorly, harassed, abused and/or threatened this blog or anyone associated with it.
Can we link work from anywhere?
Yes! Link us the AO3 or tumblr no problem! If it is on another website please be sure to mention if it is your own work or who should be credited/source if it isn’t clear.
This is awesome! How can I get more involved?
The first stage of this library is to fill it, so the best way you can get involved right now is to read, write and rec the ABO to us. Just drop them into our Ask box so we can reblog and add them to the library.
We also run occasional events/fests that we welcome participation in.
Who the heck are you people and what is this all about?
Just like you, we are readers, writers and lovers of A/B/O. We decided to set up this blog after seeing something similar (non- A/B/O) in another fandom and thinking “why don’t we have one of those for Hannigram A/B/O?!”
Our aim is to create a user friendly and interactive resource in the form of a library of A/B/O works in easy to find categories, as well as a blog dedicated to reblogging A/B/O works and recs. In the long run we hope to do more to encourage more A/B/O writing in this fandom, which is so excellently suited to it!
This blog is administrated by @desperatelyseekingcannibals / TigerPrawn and @VictorineB / Victorine with assistance from @tcbook / TCbook and @Slashyrogue / nightliferogue
Feel free to say hi to us!

7 Greatest Aspect Hustles for 2019
In response to some historic information, some individuals on the market have boundless power, a great deal of free time, and ambition sufficient to make a dictator blush. These individuals are known as “not dad and mom”, “morning individuals”, and “annoying”. Some say these individuals invented the Aspect Hustle(
).
These historic information are fallacious. The Aspect Hustle was invented way back by individuals who simply wanted extra money. Might have been Eve for all we all know. Now we reside in a gig financial system, for higher and worse, and everybody has a aspect hustle of some form. That features us internet designers.
We get into them to make some additional money, so as to add to our portfolios, to construct identify recognition, to construct a community, as a inventive outlet, or all the above. As we get into 2019, we thought it’d be enjoyable to go over a number of the extra widespread aspect hustles for internet designers, and look at which is perhaps one of the best to get into this yr:
1. The Self-Hosted Weblog
Ah the self-hosted weblog, the place you’re in full management of the branding, all of the content material, and you need to do the whole lot by your self. Why would you weblog by yourself web site when Medium exists, and does half your advertising and marketing for you? As a result of the uhh… the slight group points with Tumblr final yr clearly display how rapidly creators can get screwed by coverage modifications once they’re on a platform they don’t personal. Ask any Youtuber, too. They’ll let you know.
Effort: A minimal 10-20 minutes of labor. Might be expanded upon as a lot as you need.
Monetary prospects: Relies upon fully upon the next you construct. Monetary returns could also be seen in elevated shoppers, somewhat than straight receiving income from the weblog.
Do you have to? Medium proves the demand for blogs has not died, and sure by no means will. Nearly each inventive ought to in all probability have one.
Free thought for devs on the market: construct a self-hosted running a blog platform with social options that mean you can connect with different blogs. Like a self-hosted Tumblr, with a feed and the whole lot. Effectively, perhaps connecting to different blogs ought to be optionally available. Take a look at Mastodon for a basic mannequin of the thought.
2. Authority Web site
An authority web site is sort of a weblog with no dates and also you don’t should replace practically as usually, as they typically characteristic perennially helpful info. They sometimes run adverts for income, and the actually good ones can generate cheap passive revenue. It may be about one in all your non-web design pursuits, or some little bit of our personal business that is probably not utterly understood but, e.g. Grid by Instance.
Effort: Extra preliminary effort than weblog, however much less in the long run. It’s form of like writing a mini-wiki.
Monetary prospects: Once more, varies significantly relying on site visitors, and your monetization technique. Typically these are finest used as portfolio items.
Do you have to? There’s no actual cause why not. Good info is search-friendly info, and launching a number of of those might assist you to construct up a fame, if nothing else.
3. Themes, Plugins, and Different Assets
What the title says. You’ll be able to all the time make stuff in your fellow designers and front-end builders to make use of in their very own websites. Everybody loves stuff that makes their very own lives a bit simpler, and will get their very own work accomplished sooner.
Effort: Will depend on what you make. A single icon may very well be the work of a day. An icon set is one other matter. Something with code will get actual fascinating, as a result of code typically requires upkeep.
Monetary prospects: Making issues free of charge earns you goodwill. Promoting them makes cash, however you’ll hardly be the one stall within the market.
Do you have to? The market is saturated proper now. Except what you’re creating fills a particular and under-served area of interest, you’re going to face very stiff competitors. You’d higher know, for a reality, that you simply’re going to face out.
4. Contribute to an Current OSS Challenge
Ah, the great thing about open supply software program: anybody could make it. Okay, should you’re primarily a graphics man, chances are you’ll follow creating belongings for the challenge of your alternative, however that’s one thing that’s nonetheless good and obligatory.
Effort: Will depend on what you contribute. Count on to spend a while figuring that out with different individuals, and consider time for that communication.
Monetary prospects: Prospects for fast monetary achieve are poor to nonexistent.
Do you have to? If you happen to don’t want more money any time quickly, however do want contacts, yeah. Go for it. Having your identify on some OSS initiatives generally is a massive resume booster, and also you’re giving again to the group in an enormous manner.
5. Begin a YouTube Channel or Twitch Stream
Video… it’s like podcasting, however with extra work. Apparently sufficient—and contemplating that internet design is a really visible self-discipline—there appears to be much more podcasts and blogs of word within the internet design area than there may be video content material, whilst different industries pattern towards video. Largely I’ve seen app tutorials, some movies in regards to the very fundamentals, with a number of vlog-style reveals thrown in. These are all good issues, however there’s room for progress. Heck, a variety of the content material I’ve seen was made by entrepreneurs.
Effort: A great deal of effort.
Monetary prospects: Advert income on YouTube is a notoriously finicky factor, and constructing an viewers takes time. Between patron, sponsors, and adverts, Youtube movies and/or streaming will be was a full-time profession, however that’s a long-term factor.
Do you have to? In case you have the time (you do want a good bit of it), and might finally put a price range collectively for some entry-level {hardware}, it could be price entering into the video area, ‘trigger I don’t assume it’s fairly saturated.
6. Public Talking
Get up in entrance of individuals, sweat profusely, and stammer by means of a presentation. Then do it many times till you’re good, and might successfully convey your information to others.
Effort: There’s writing, nerves, and generally a little bit of journey. It’s not the toughest factor you are able to do, however neither is it for the faint of coronary heart.
Monetary prospects: Native occasions are good for networking, however you will have to talk free of charge, and even pay to talk, relying on the occasion. Get actual good, and convention organizers may pay you to come back communicate. Don’t anticipate to make a dwelling, however it’s not dangerous for a aspect hustle.
Do you have to? If you happen to’re snug with public talking, go for it. Try native occasions, and go to 1 or two of them. Get a really feel for the viewers, after which resolve if in case you have one thing to share that they may want.
7. Begin Your Personal Occasions
Internet hosting occasions means networking alternatives, having enjoyable, and making an honest bit of money as soon as the occasions begin to develop. It’s a good way to convey the native design group collectively and be taught. After all, it is advisable be sure that there aren’t perhaps too many occasions like your in your space, perhaps attempt to decide a singular theme, however it could be price it.
Effort: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH YES LOTS OF EFFORT. Clearly, should you maintain the occasions small, it’s not too massive a deal. It’s like a second enterprise. But when it actually begins to develop, operating occasions might rapidly take up a variety of room in your life.
Monetary prospects: First rate, should you get individuals displaying up.
Do you have to? Provided that you actually, actually like speaking to individuals, managing individuals, coping with individuals’s complaints, scheduling for different individuals, chasing different individuals, and principally doing a complete lot of undesignery stuff.
And no matter you do, keep in mind to have enjoyable with it. No level in a aspect hustle that isn’t enjoyable.

Hello lovelies! I know it’s been a heck of a long time (once again) since I’ve uploaded on here – a lot has been going on in my life and blogging just hasn’t been a priority. However, I’ve recently been talking to someone new and it’s made me realise how much I have to share about so many different things – the main theme being, my anxiety.
I go through stages and phases in which I start to think that my anxiety has gone. I feel as though maybe I’ve “grown out of it” or “gotten used to it” but then something happens that makes it all come flooding back. I’ll hear bad news and then panic for a month straight or I’ll make a silly mistake and then jump to the worst conclusions (so much so that it starts to take a toll on my actual health). I never seem to have a middle ground – it’s either perfect or absolutely dreadful. I thought I’d come on here and talk about all the different ways my anxiety effects me, just in case you or someone you love experiences the same thing and doesn’t want to feel alone. Or maybe you’re one of the lucky ones who doesn’t suffer from it and wants to know what it’s like. Whatever reason you’re reading – thank you, and please try to have an open mind and remember that I have absolutely no control over how my brain works.
What is anxiety? Well a quick google search will tell you it’s “a feeling of worry, nervousness, or unease about something with an uncertain outcome”. So basically, you know that feeling before you sit an important exam, or have to do something you’re scared of? That’s anxiety. It’s nerves and fear combined. Sometimes it’s completely rational and sometimes it’s not – you literally can’t control it. It’s your brain’s way of telling you that something is happening. A warning almost. It can show that you’re doing something worthwhile (such as passing a test or going for a job interview) or it can tell you that you’re doing something risky/scary (going on a rollercoaster or sending that vulnerable text). Everyone feels anxiety at some point in their lives and it’s completely normal. However, for people like me – its constant and there are different types of anxiety you can suffer from such as, general, social, health, panic disorder, phobias, PTSD, OCD, body dysmorphia, perinatal and a whole bunch of others. I, personally, suffer from general and social anxiety so I can’t really say much about the others.
I’ve decided to talk through some of the ways I experience my own anxiety and how I try and deal with them on a day-to-day basis.
It makes you question yourself. This is probably the most infuriating thing about my anxiety disorder. No matter how certain of myself I am, I will always think that I’m doing something wrong. Let me give you a lil breakdown of the inside of my brain. When I’m alone for a while, I can very easily build up my own self confidence. I’m a very opinionated feminist who doesn’t need anyone else to make herself feel complete. I am sure of myself but I am, deep down, lonely. So I reach out to others (friends and family) in hopes that this helps. However, I then begin to question myself. Am I really a good person? Do I annoy this other person? Am I talking to them too much? Am I trying too hard? Am I actually as funny as I think I am? (yes) Do I look good? Do I smell good? Do I take up too much room? Are they judging me? What are they thinking? Have I overstayed my welcome? Am I pushy? Do they talk about me when I’m not there? What do they say? Do their family/friends like me? Am I eating too much? Is my laugh disgusting? Is my smile ugly? And all that jazz. The thing is – I can’t stop that. Even though I know for a fact that the majority of those questions are ridiculous, my brain doesn’t believe itself. It tells me that I’m being silly but also that I’m the worst person in the world. I basically need someone to constantly tell me I’m good or else I just sort of break down internally. I think its a combination of wanting attention, having anxiety and being part dog or some shit lol.
The fear of embarrassment. There are so many things I DON’T do out of fear of embarrassing myself. I’ll put my hands up and say that I am the first person to laugh at myself and I can definitely take a good amount of banter and roasting. However, when it comes to certain physical stuff, I just don’t do it. I never sit down on someone’s bed until I’ve completely calmed down or unless I know them well. I have quite closed body language so people can’t really see me? I know that makes no sense but I try and hide myself as much as possible to try and go unnoticed. I try not to talk too much about my feelings to people directly because I get scared that they’ll laugh at me, or judge me or just be put off. I’ve always had an issue with my weight/body so I don’t like eating with new people because my brain tells me that they’re thinking “she’s eating too much” “no wonder she’s that size” “what a fatty” and other such things. No matter what, I will always think that and it takes me a while to fully relax. Once I do, I won’t stop asking for food lol so it makes no sense. I’m either all or nothing.
Past experiences make it hard. Everyone has their own terrible story of why they find it hard to trust and why they can’t get comfortable very quickly. Once something happens or someone tells you something, it’s very hard to get it off your mind. Imagine someone tells you once that you don’t look good in the colour blue. From then on in the future you’re going to remember that one comment. This is the exact same for me except I never forget ANYTHING someone says. If you say I’m too full on and needy then that must mean I’m too full on and needy for everyone. If I’m too tall for you, then I’m too tall for everyone. You see where I’m going with that? I find it very hard to remember that everyone has different opinions and that some people actually like the things you hate about yourself.
It’s funny, I consider myself a confident person. I have people tell me nearly every day that I’m hilarious or I’m “bubbly” (which is just another word for someone who is overweight and happy ok I know what you mean). I believe that I’m actually an OK person to be around because I do seem to cheer people up. My brain likes to play tricks on me. Likes to keep me on my toes. It tells me to always have my guard up so I can never be hurt or surprised/disappointed by anyone. This obviously doesn’t happen and I end up getting emotionally invested in everything I do after about 10 seconds but that’s just how I am. I like that I am all or nothing. I like that I love too quickly and I get passionate so easily. I don’t like that I screw things up by panicking or worrying. I don’t like that I cause arguments because of my constant need of approval. It’s all things I need to work on.
Having anxiety doesn’t make you a bad person. It doesn’t make you unlovable or unattractive. It makes you think you are but it takes a whole lot of strength to be able to recognise when its your anxiety talking and when it’s reality. I’m still coming to terms with it myself and I was diagnosed 3 years ago. It helps to talk to people. To write a blog/journal. To talk to a counsellor, friend, family member, SO, stranger on the bus – anyone that will listen. Most people out there are suffering from one mental health problem or another so it’s so important to let them know they aren’t alone. I’m lucky enough to have such wonderful people around me who help me through my dark times. They know who they are and I don’t know where I’d be without them. I guess the moral of the story is to just be accepting and loving to everyone – but most importantly yourself.
xoxo

How to Keep on Writing when you have writer’s block?
Disclaimer: P. Lynne Designs is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. Hello, today I want to continue with this sort of, kind of series on starting a blog.
Back in January, I started, sort of backward, the topic on “How to start a blog?” I went over the basics of picking a topic, a name for your blog, customizing it for you and your readers, and publishing your first blog. In the next post, titled cutely, “What the heck is Well-nigh and other ponderings”. I covered the dirty subject of using re-write software and another website that allows you to reuse a post over and over again without getting into trouble with the “copyright police” or Google with your own post. This title came about when I was not pleased with the “How to write a Blog” post, tried to re-write the post using a program online, and confused when the software suggested that I use the word, “Well-nigh” throughout the piece.
Side-Note: I found out from an article, “The First Blog Posts you Should be Writing as a new Blogger, by Beautiful Dawn, which she talks about deciding on what topics you cover in your new blog. In the article, she suggests that “cover multiple topics. The example she uses is that you can cover travel, organization, and cooking if that is what you want to talk about. Do not start a string of travel blog post, then switch to a bunch of organizational posts, then finally to cooking posts. You have to create a map to tie-in each little nugget of information for the reader. Another way is to have a common theme within your traveling, organization, and cooking themes. For example: If you are traveling to India, you can map out a plan to write about the trip and your travels, follow it by having an “Indian-inspired” organization container in your “Indian-inspired” bedroom, and conclude the trio of blog posts by cooking a posting your version of a Indian dish you had on the trip. The point is in 2020 it is okay to have a blog, especially a lifestyle blog with multiple subjects in it.
I have more on these and other subjects as I try to prepare my blog for “move out of Blogger’s backyard and into the world of WordPress” day. I figured that this whole process, which I am letting you come for the journey when be completed around May. Yes, I am taking it slow and steady. I will let you know of the official move out/in date soon.
Today’s Topic: I am stuck so I cannot write today (writer's block).
This happens to the best of writers. You get to the computer, you open up your word processing program, and WHAM! Nothing comes out. No magical moment where the brain instructs the hands to form the words to a beautifully mastered blog post. Everything you had hoped for dreamed of writing and the message you want to give to the masses is stuck at point zero. I am not talking about the computer. It’s fine. What I am talking about is that moment when you have everything planned to say, and you cannot think of a thing to say.
This is typical of me. I start writing on a subject, let’s say Disney trips since I have not used that in a while. I have been talking about subjects, such as planning a trip, buying your tickets, making your reservations, and scheduling dining times. Everything is looking good, and I am working up a sweat. I want to keep this Disney trip thing going, but now I have run out of ideas. What do I write about next? Where does my thought process point to? Another example: You have a blog about owning your self-worth because you see that lacking in today’s society. You have been at it for a while, having Motivational Mondays, devotionals (it is a Christian blog), affirmations, and dedications to name a few. One day, a subject comes to mind that you really feel like it needs to be addressed, but you are not sure how to approach it with your audience.
What to do when that happens?
I am a believer in the art of “always have something to say”. Most of the time, it is a matter of knowing what to say. When that happens, try these techniques to get your creative juices started…
1. Freewriting
Rebecca Talley of her self-titled blog, Rebecca Talley says to just write. Before you write, you must plan. By planning, you are mapping out how the story must begin and how it must end. This technique works best for those who are writing a book or a script, but points are taken from this technique also apply to the blog post and non-fictional writing as well. She goes on to talk about, “Think about the scene. Who is in it? What is the goal of the scene? What is the conflict? Where is it set?” I will further that sentiment by saying, “write it down in a notebook”. That way, if something or someone takes you away from the moment, you can return back to that notebook, and pick up where you left off.
She also says to write anything, even if it has nothing to do with the story or in this case, the concept of an idea. Sometimes it takes me two days to write one blog post. It is not that I am conflicted about what I want to say, but more on I might change my mind and take the concept in a different direction. She further suggests that you use a timer and write about anything that comes to mind for about 5 minutes. You would be surprised at the ideas you come up with for 5 minutes.
Change of scenery
Maybe a Change of Scenery-Pixabay
One other suggestion is to change your scenery. By that, you are getting out of your comfort zone, that place where solitude and tranquility meet as one big pool of peacefulness, but every once in a while, the two do not go together. To return to that space, consider writing somewhere different. For example, if you like to write cuddled with a blanket and your feet up on your lounge in your bedroom, try the kitchen or the family room (make sure family members do not disturb you), or go to the library. I do not suggest a place like Starbucks unless you can drown out the noise.
Keep a notebook of ideas
This is a different type of notebook than the one I mentioned under Freewriting. This is also more for the blogger who needs to come up with a topic for future references. Keep this notebook with you at all times for when those creative juices emerge. Yes, this includes keeping it by your nightstand. You can keep a traditional notebook or a digital notebook.
Quora
Quora Website-
I love Quora. In case you are not familiar with the website, Quora is a place where people can ask questions and the general public answers them. The way I use this little nugget of a website is I answer the question provided to me. They are often to me through my email. I can choose to answer because I am an expert in that area, or I have experienced it at one
time or another. I will answer enough to give a good answer. If I think that it is blog post-worthy, I will copy the answer before submitting it to the database, then in MS Word, I will pull up a blank document and copy the answer onto it. This blog post I am writing, and you are reading now came from a Quora question. I will sometimes omit the answer. The original concept of this blog post had my answer to the question on it, but sometimes the answer does not fit the blog post.
Writing prompts
They are in the same category as Quora, where you are given a question to answer, and you provide the answer. My one example was a post I wrote in 2012 about my summer vacation. I forgot where I found the prompt, it has been a while since I wrote. Please excuse the typos.
There is an online event for writers every year in November called National Novel Writer’s Month or NaNoWriMo for short. It is for people who write novels, and in the past, they used to have writing prompts. Now you can easily look them up on search engines, Pinterest, and Facebook even has some groups that allow you to get you thinking about writing.
Well, that’s the end. Not by a long shot. I want you to have a successful writing career if that is your choice. Writer’s block happens to all of us, from novelists to bloggers, journal writers, and journalists. It is what you choose to do with that writer’s block when it comes, and I have given you 5 ways to conquer it. The point is to recognize it when it comes.
Call to Action Prompt: Comment below if you have ever had this experience of writer’s block and how you solved your situation.

Sharing is caring! Table of Contents Are you worried? Do you check your stats every day? Are you looking to increase your website traffic? Listen, you’ll get traffic… Trust me, by the end of this article, you will be able to understand how to survive as a website owner. If you’re a blogger, you must be happy because you got a whole heap of solutions that are not available to static site owners. Worried? I’m talking about customization options, plugins, theme changing features, etc. So, now if your biggest scare is the website traffic, then let me tell you something. The traffic will waste if you don’t know what to do with the traffic. In fact, now internet marketers and website owners try to engage the audience to keep them in the loop to offer them more options. We’ll dig deeper into this later on. Let the genie out of the bottle. I have to take care of every type of reader. I know many new bloggers and starters will read this article too, so to keep everything together in the process, I should explain the basic things first before proceeding to the heavy stuff. What is Website Traffic? The website traffic means the number of people who visit a website on a daily, monthly, or annual basis. Normally blogs and websites record and analyze their daily and monthly visitors. The website traffic becomes so essential when it comes to analyzing the website conversion rate. Why does a visitor visit the website? A visitor visits any specific website or blog to learn something, gain knowledge, or to get entertained by the given data and insights. It could be any type and form of data required by the audience that fulfills the desire. Every website’s audience is different from the other website. 3 Main Reasons for Getting Traffic Following are the three essential elements of getting website traffic: 1. Delivery of value When you have something to deliver which counts as valuable, you’re likely to get traffic. Now traffic is itself a huge concept. There are different forms of website traffic such as organic traffic, referral traffic, social media traffic, and paid traffic. Every type of traffic requires some value to be delivered to the audience to gain the trust of visitors as well as the platform. 2. Popularity of Brand The acceptability of the product ensures the website traffic. Have you ever searched for the favorite brand’s products on the Google? People search for Facebook covers, Adobe Photoshop, iPhone devices and such things, because, they know the favorite brands and products, which is why they look for the specific products or brands to learn more about them or directly buy them. 3. Insights and Research This could be a little-advanced level reason of why some blogs and website get traffic. Many of the websites offer a lot of information, stats, and research-based content that helps the audience, and that’s what they need from these sites. Many bloggers use in-depth articles format and support their points with examples and research findings, which resonates with the audience, and they start following those bloggers, which means they not only do read it, but they also share the content with social media contacts. By now, you probably have got some idea how things work here. You will find out much more in the rest of the article, and by the end of this post, you would be pretty much clear about reaching to the newer audience for your blog. Before we proceed to a how-to guide on traffic, you must know a very important aspect of website traffic. It is the source of your traffic. The purpose of telling you is that you get to know some facts that how people arrive on your website. Sources of Website Traffic The common sources of website traffic list will help you understand the floodgate of the website traffic. In this way, you will be able to learn and implement a better strategy: Search Engines: Search engines provide free traffic to our websites. The difficult part is that you have to make your website competitive to become an authority in the specific niche to reach the target audience. Search engines provide free traffic, but it doesn’t mean ever time you publish an article, you will get traffic. There are a bunch of rules and regulations that determine which links are to be displayed earlier than the others, and this happens pretty quickly. Social Media: Social Media is certainly another source of traffic for any website and blog. This shows that your content must be engaging and helpful for the audience, once you get there and start doing it, you will get a great outcome. Social media sites aren’t just about sharing your content. Instead, they require you to reshare others’ content, admire others, and start building relationships with other content creator and social media friends. Referral Content: This is a type of traffic which transfers the visitor from one page to another page. Whenever a website is mentioned somewhere, it normally redirects the visitors to that website. Backlinks: The backlinks are considered the backbone of the whole SEO strategy. These backlinks not only just increase the site authority, but it also gives extra traffic to your website. You’ll always find SEO experts emphasizing on the strategies that build backlinks. Word-of-mouth: This is one of the most important sources of free traffic. Suppose, you impressed someone with your blog, and now you start telling him/her the real success story behind your success. When you explain that how someone helped you expand your business and grow your blog, he will ultimately want to follow the mentors you have worked with or look forward to meeting the person behind your success. How to Get Traffic on Your Website Here is the step-by-step method to start getting free traffic to your website: 1: Select the Target Audience First things first, you have to know that who your target audience is. Even though, it’s a basic step that should be taken before the blog launch, but you can’t ignore it throughout your blogging and web business journey. Selecting the audience means to decide WHO TO TARGET. You must have a clear idea about your audience, if you know your audience, you’ll be able to help them accordingly. The step one could be the game-changer for you. You got to follow the right trail to succeed. That being said, in fact, you can get traffic anyway. That’s not the point, but, what if they (visitors) turn out to be just a one-time visitors and they never come back. People who are new in the business, they try to purchase different paid traffic packages from different providers, and they think they might be able to retain them, even half of them, but it will never happen, because this is not how it works. In fact, there are a few ad companies that pay you for visiting websites. They probably sell the traffic that way. I don’t recommend such tricks and short-term methods which turn out to be useless all the times. Here we talk about BUILDING a strong reader base, not a short-term visitors statistics. They are like smoke. They vaporize after a few minutes. So, select your audience wisely. It’s an essential step to approaching your audience. Once you know who you want to target, the only target remains is, HOW TO TARGET them. Got it? For instance, you sell baby garments (for babies from 1 to 6 months). It means your target audience is pregnant women + new moms. All you need is to target the new mothers with kids from 1 to 6 months old as well as expectant mothers. 2: Choose your Social Media Channels We already know how important the social media is, and we still struggle… (Well, most of us) (okay, a few of us) The problem is we know the importance of social media, but we lack in the DECISION MAKING. You’d be like: WHAT THE HECK IS THIS? Let me tell you, you know all the major social media networks, you have been there for a while now. The problem is that you don’t CHOOSE THE SOCIAL MEDIA CHANNELS… Most of us try to be everywhere on social media and end up dominating nowhere. That is the problem. You can’t be everywhere. However, you can be a SUPER STAR on your favorite social media platforms. This is what I meant. Choose wisely. You can be on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube or you can be on LinkedIn, Facebook, Slideshare, and Quora. There isn’t any number formula that you can’t exceed 3 or 4 networks. You can be anywhere you want but make sure it must be coherent with your business strategy and customer base. Suppose, if you’re a video-editing service or video tools company, and you are using Twitter and LinkedIn and ignoring YouTube and Facebook, and then you might need to think again. It’s you who need to decide what is best for you and where your audience is hanging out. 3: Influencers Engagement Do you want to get traffic to your website? Build relationships with influencers. Make them friends. Be their loyal followers. They will notice and keep you in the loop after a while. This is a growth hijacking strategy. You have to be the consistent and loyal follower of your favorite influencers. Whether they are Entrepreneurial Guru, SEO giants, or Financial Experts, whoever they are or whoever you follow in your field, you have to keep an eye on their videos, articles, podcasts, and infographics… Follow them, share their content, and leave incredibly thought-provoking comments under their content. Help their followers to understand your influencers’ viewpoint. They will notice you. They will follow you, and they will fall in love with you. Because what you’re doing is exactly they want from their followers. People know this. I’ve seen people doing this everywhere. You should start doing this right now. Don’t panic. It’s not about Twitter, Facebook, or YouTube. Just be there wherever you follow those influencers. And, if you’re far behind that line, just hop in, and start following the influencers in your field. 4: Build your Loyal Audience through Email List At step 4, you might not feel a nudge about this step but you will ultimately thank me in the future for adding this point in this article. This works. People on your list trust you, and you have to develop that relation with your list members. You have built your email list; now I’m going to tell you how it will exactly increase your website traffic. When you keep on building your email list, it will ultimately increase your website visitors as you will keep on engaging them through your updates and newsletters. You probably know that email marketing is one of the biggest online marketing strategies in the world. Every loyal customer or reader doesn’t bookmark your blog or website, but almost everyone checks his/her email, once a week or once a month email newsletter to your email list could start getting more people on your website. People who know your website or company, they could visit again to read a blog post or see an update on your site that you have mentioned in that newsletter. Normally, the brands create helpful articles to engage the subscribers or existing customers. And, they send those articles through their newsletter. This is how they get their existing visitors or customers back to their websites. It might look a little fizzy. But it’s not. Imagine, you’re a company, you have different paid and free traffic campaigns are going on and trying to get more and more people onto your website. You have an email list of people (who subscribed to your newsletter). Wouldn’t it be better if you regularly send them newsletters to get them back to your website? It would certainly increase the ratio of your regular website visitors. 5: Give Value to Others At step 5, we will discuss the giving behavior and its results. When you’re providing value to the readers, it’s going to change their lives. When it does, they will never forget your brand’s name and visit your blog or website again and again. You probably write great content and trying to help out your readers, if you’re an online tool, I’m sure your tool helps lots of people every day, and if you’re a service firm, you might be helping your customers to provide the best solutions possible. We all want more traffic on our websites and blogs. Do you know why? Because we all want to grow. Now, I’ll tell you how you can give value to others and grow your business. If you’re not continuously creating the content on your blog, you’re making the mistake, and if you’re publishing content, then try to make it USEFUL. You have to create the right message and provide everything possible in the content to make it useful, whether you have to add references, online tools, and relevant articles from other websites. The readers need to be satisfied, whatever it takes… Do it. There are two benefits of linking to others’ (content and websites): I. Readers get benefit: The readers love when they find something relevant to the topic, and it helps them. They want to know the solutions and solve their problems. II. Brands and companies notice: When you add the related tools or exact products that help readers, not only readers like it, the brands you’re also mentioning notice and start recognizing your brand. They can share your content on social media too. 6: Use Images in the Content At step 6, we will analyze pictures and images. A picture is worth a thousand words. You probably heard of that. Pictures are important, no one denies it. Pictures and images in the content make it worthwhile, not only do they engage the audience to stay a little longer on the page, but they also help the page to ranked well in the search engines. It’s been seen that the article gets traffic on the specific image, which means if that image weren’t there, there would be no traffic on that article. That is why content marketers and SEOs recommend using images in the content. Read: 5 Best Places For Bloggers to Get FREE Stock Images Canva is a popular tool to create images and graphics to use in the content and web pages. It shows that how important the images are for getting our articles ranked in the search engines and getting organic traffic. If someone says that written content and images are two inter-related methods of getting search traffic, then it won’t be wrong because both support each other in getting organic traffic and get standalone search traffic as well. 7: Use Online Advertising Tool The step #7 is a paid form of getting traffic. This is one of the popular online marketing strategies. Although, it doesn’t just require to spend some bucks to get your hundreds of leads for your business. You need to be very technical, analytical, and sharp with your online advertising strategy. In online marketing, online advertising has different levels and methods. You can surely get traffic from paid methods, and if the campaign goes right, you can take your business to the next level. Although, it solely depends on the experience and efficiency that you put into the advertising campaign, however, it recommended to test, analyze, and adapt to get better in your online advertising. You might get a lot of visitors but not sales through one platform and could get a few clicks, but most of the leads turn into paying customers. Although, every online advertising network asks the advertisers to add the specific measures to identify their demands and provide them quality traffic. This could be a vital source of getting traffic on our websites. Your Part Everybody wants to get more visitors. I tried to explain that visitors aren’t an issue. I just tried to deliver that you have to utilize the website visitors. If thousands of visitors visit your website in a month, and none of them helps you to earn money, then how would it be beneficial for you? Whether you’re running a website or a blog, try to create a funnel along with a front channel to utilize your visitors, even if they are a few in numbers. In the beginning, people dream of getting thousands of visitors on their websites. Once their websites start growing, their web hosting and maintenance costs go up. 7 Best Side Hustles for 2019
According to some historical records, some people out there have boundless energy, loads of free time, and ambition enough to make a dictator blush. These people are called “not parents”, “morning people”, and “annoying”. Some say these people invented the Side Hustle().
Those historical records are wrong. The Side Hustle was invented long ago by people who just needed more money. Could have been Eve for all we know. Now we live in a gig economy, for better and worse, and everyone has a side hustle of some kind. That includes us web designers.
We get into them to make some extra cash, to add to our portfolios, to build name recognition, to build a network, as a creative outlet, or all of the above. As we get into 2019, we thought it’d be fun to go over some of the more common side hustles for web designers, and examine which might be the best to get into this year:
1. The Self-Hosted Blog
Ah the self-hosted blog, where you’re in full control of the branding, all the content, and you have to do everything by yourself. Why would you blog on your own site when Medium exists, and does half your marketing for you? Because the uhh… the slight community issues with Tumblr last year clearly demonstrate how quickly creators can get screwed by policy changes when they’re on a platform they don’t own. Ask any Youtuber, too. They’ll tell you.
Effort: A minimum 10-20 minutes of work. Can be expanded upon as much as you want.
Financial prospects: Depends entirely upon the following you build. Financial returns may be seen in increased clients, rather than directly receiving revenue from the blog.
Should you? Medium proves the demand for blogs has not died, and likely never will. Just about every creative should probably have one.
Free idea for devs out there: build a self-hosted blogging platform with social features that allow you to connect to other blogs. Like a self-hosted Tumblr, with a feed and everything. Well, maybe connecting to other blogs should be optional. Look at Mastodon for a general model of the idea.
2. Authority Site
An authority site is like a blog with no dates and you don’t have to update nearly as often, as they generally feature perennially useful information. They typically run ads for revenue, and the really good ones can generate reasonable passive income. It can be about one of your non-web design interests, or some bit of our own industry that may not be completely understood yet, e.g. Grid by Example.
Effort: More initial effort than blog, but less in the long term. It’s kind of like writing a mini-wiki.
Financial prospects: Again, varies greatly depending on traffic, and your monetization strategy. Sometimes these are best used as portfolio pieces.
Should you? There’s no real reason why not. Good information is search-friendly information, and launching a few of these could help you build up a reputation, if nothing else.
3. Themes, Plugins, and Other Resources
What the title says. You can always make stuff for your fellow designers and front-end developers to use in their own sites. Everyone loves stuff that makes their own lives a bit easier, and gets their own work done faster.
Effort: Depends on what you make. A single icon could be the work of a day. An icon set is another matter. Anything with code gets real interesting, because code generally requires maintenance.
Financial prospects: Making things for free earns you goodwill. Selling them makes money, but you’ll hardly be the only stall in the marketplace.
Should you? The market is saturated right now. Unless what you’re creating fills a specific and under-served niche, you’re going to face very stiff competition. You’d better know, for a fact, that you’re going to stand out.
4. Contribute to an Existing OSS Project
Ah, the beauty of open source software: anyone can make it. Okay, if you’re primarily a graphics guy, you may stick to creating assets for the project of your choice, but that is something that is still good and necessary.
Effort: Depends on what you contribute. Expect to spend some time figuring that out with other people, and factor in time for that communication.
Financial prospects: Prospects for immediate financial gain are poor to nonexistent.
Should you? If you don’t need extra money any time soon, but do need contacts, yeah. Go for it. Having your name on some OSS projects can be a big resume booster, and you’re giving back to the community in a big way.
5. Start a YouTube Channel or Twitch Stream
Video… it’s like podcasting, but with more work. Interestingly enough—and considering that web design is a very visual discipline—there seems to be a lot more podcasts and blogs of note in the web design space than there is video content, even as other industries trend toward video. Mostly I’ve seen app tutorials, some videos about the very basics, with a few vlog-style shows thrown in. These are all good things, but there’s room for growth. Heck, a lot of the content I’ve seen was made by marketers.
Effort: Loads of effort.
Financial prospects: Ad revenue on YouTube is a notoriously finicky thing, and building an audience takes time. Between patron, sponsors, and ads, Youtube videos and/or streaming can be turned into a full-time career, but that’s a long-term thing.
Should you? If you have the time (you do need a fair bit of it), and can eventually put a budget together for some entry-level hardware, it may be worth getting into the video space, ‘cause I don’t think it’s quite saturated.
6. Public Speaking
Stand up in front of people, sweat profusely, and stammer through a presentation. Then do it again and again until you’re good, and can effectively convey your knowledge to others.
Effort: There’s writing, nerves, and sometimes a bit of travel. It’s not the hardest thing you can do, but neither is it for the faint of heart.
Financial prospects: Local events are good for networking, but you may have to speak for free, or even pay to speak, depending on the event. Get real good, and conference organizers might pay you to come speak. Don’t expect to make a living, but it’s not bad for a side hustle.
Should you? If you’re comfortable with public speaking, go for it. Check out local events, and go to one or two of them. Get a feel for the audience, and then decide if you have something to share that they might need.
7. Start Your Own Events
Hosting events means networking opportunities, having fun, and making a decent bit of cash once the events start to grow. It’s a great way to bring the local design community together and learn. Of course, you need to make sure there aren’t maybe too many events like your in your area, maybe try to pick a unique theme, but it may be worth it.
Effort: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH YES LOTS OF EFFORT. Obviously, if you keep the events small, it’s not too big a deal. It’s like a second business. But if it really starts to grow, running events could quickly take up a lot of room in your life.
Financial prospects: Decent, if you get people showing up.
Should you? Only if you really, really like talking to people, managing people, dealing with people’s complaints, scheduling for other people, chasing other people, and basically doing a whole lot of undesignery stuff.
And whatever you do, remember to have fun with it. No point in a side hustle that isn’t fun.

For this week’s post, I’ve decided to take a break from my usual football & cartoon posts. This is a Birthday Special !! When I first started this blog three years back, I wasn’t too sure how things would pan out. I remember that somewhere around the time of the FIFA World Cup in Brazil, I had just contributed a series of articles to my brother’s blog about all things Japanese. These series of articles were about the history and rise of Japanese football. You can check them out in the link below.
https://armchairjapanophile.wordpress.com/category/sports/
It was quite a fun experience and I was feeling very inspired. It wasn’t until a few months later though, that I decided to start my own blog.
Oh wow !! I just realized that my first blog post was right after my birthday too !! Fascinating Co-incidence…. which brings me to an interesting point.
As you have observed, my posts tend to be about football & cartoons. This was exactly what I wanted my blog to be about. Strangely back then, I had a brain flash and decided to write about how I had spent my birthday in NYC.
New York Festival of Lights (NYFOL)
Of course, I had to add an additional category to my blog called ‘Random Musings’ or else none of this would make any sense. I remember writing that post with quite a bit of feeling and I had been scarcely associated with NYC at that point. Interestingly enough, the next my next one and a half years of my life would become intertwined with the city.
Now, NYC was not the reason I decided to start this blog. Yet the special place the city holds in my heart and the timing of certain events (more on this later) … I can’t escape the feeling that this post carries more significance than I may realize at this moment. It’s almost as if I was meant to write this post.
So here’s to Nueva York…
My Tryst with Destiny
Destiny Huh ?
Four years ago during my masters’ program in Pennsylvania, a friend of mine who was holidaying in New York invited me to the city. He had been persuading me for a few weeks until I finally gave in and I’m glad I did. That weekend was something else !! I remember the first time the bus came out of the Lincoln Tunnel and into the city. It was night time and seeing all these huge buildings with bright lights staring at me… Woah ! I was in some other world.
Finding my friend that night in a new country, new city… in Port Authority was truly a miracle. We spent the whole of the next day taking in the sights and sounds of mostly Manhattan. From the Empire State Building to Staten Island to Central Park to Times Square (Heck, there’s just way too many to name); it was a roller coaster ride. When I finally returned to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania I felt like I had come crashing down to earth. I made it a point to return and live in this city. There was just so much to experience and I had barely scratched the surface !!
Return I would…
Later Trips
Midtown Comic Madness !!
A year later after the completion of my masters’ program, I started making trips to the city for job interviews. These trips were almost always for job interviews and usually happened roughly once every 2 months. Though I rarely had a chance to do much other than meet a friend, that feeling whenever I entered the city was so fresh.
Empire State Building From Somewhere in Chelsea
Empire State Building on August 15th
Oh ! I almost forgot to mention the fact that right after I had finished my studies, I once again stayed with another friend in the city; not once but twice. My friend was working in Chelsea at the time and staying in his studio apartment was an absolute blast. During the day I would visit lots of different places in the city (Anything that was free or cheap !!) and at night, my friend and I would usually watch some TV show (Friends and Suits come to mind. Both NYC Themed !). We did quite a bit of sight-seeing together as well.
Street Graffiti viewed from the High Line
More Street Graffiti
In any case, it would take nearly a year until I really had something to do with the city. My job search hadn’t proved particularly fruitful in any part of the country. So, a friend of mine told me about this training centre in Harlem in my chosen field (Energy Efficiency). I was initially reluctant to leave Pennsylvania but then took a chance anyway.
The City at Last
As things transpired, it turned out to be the right move. I moved to New Jersey and commuted to the city whenever I had to. Not long after finishing my training course, I finally did get an internship and then finally a full-time job.
A Fabulous View of the Empire State Building From My Then-Office
The good times had arrived and I could finally live the life of a New Yorker. It must be said here that my job situation at the time eventually never worked out in the way I had hoped. However, that said, I had a chance to explore a lot more of the city.
The Best of NYC
No, no… I didn’t see David Letterman !!
To be honest, I don’t even know where to begin when it comes to describing my favourite places, activities or memories of the city. The real truth is that despite exploring a lot more of the city, I still feel as though I’ve barely scratched the surface.
Bryant Park in Autumn.. I think
Nothing like summer in Bryant Park
A beautiful night view of the Bank of America Tower
When I used to commute to Harlem for my training course, I often visited Bryant Park. Hands down one of my favourite spots in the city, especially when I didn’t have too much cash to spend. I also spent a lot of time in the NYPL (New York Public Library). Later on when I did have a job, I remember spending a quite a lot on food. I’m a huge fan of the city’s ‘world culture’ and enjoyed trying so many different kinds of cuisines. A personal favourite of mine is Meson Sevilla on 46th street. I particularly loved the place because of its warm atmosphere and shared love for football. I spent many an evening there talking to the general manager about football, Real Madrid and pop-culture.
When Pena Madridista NYC was at Quinn’s !!
Pena Madridista NYC !!
Watching Raul & Marcos Senna’s last game with the Cosmos at Coney Island
Another of my favourite memories was watching Real Madrid games with the Pena Madridista NYC club. Making a noise with fellow Madridistas while drinking beer can be a blast but I also really loved meeting people from new cultures at these events. Football and Real Madrid apart, there was also the fair share of partying. Roof-top parties in Brooklyn, spending time at bars such as the Playwright’s Irish Pub, McGettigans etc. was also great.
What have I missed out ? Hmm.. Probably a lot.
Attending a Sustainability Conference at the UN General Assembly Hall was a surreal experience
Grand Central in all its glory !!
Of course !! How can I forget watching a game with my tennis-buff friend in Flushing Meadows at the U.S. Open ?
Martina Hingis & Sania Mirza at the U.S. Open !!
There were the plays and concerts too.
The Legendary Minskoff Theatre !!
Nederlander Theatre
The Timeless Radio City Music Hall
Carnegie Hall (Thank you Club Free-Time !!), Radio City Music Hall (What a beautiful place !!), BAM Howard Gilman Opera House, Dumbo, Williamsburg etc.
The Future
Although I never did get a chance to live in the city, I still feel lucky and grateful to have experienced as much as I did. There is a lot that I have not touched upon in this post because there is just too much to talk about. Often times, I still do think of my good experiences with this place and I always get this feeling that I will return sometime.
Coming back to the timing of certain events that I had mentioned at the beginning of this post; it is very interesting indeed. I had already mentioned that my first post 3 years ago was around my birthday and it is interesting that I suddenly feel like writing a tribute to NYC at the same time. Three years ago, my brother was also heavily into his Japan blog at around this time of the year. So, the fact that he is visiting Japan right now and just earlier in the day went and got me Japanese football memorabilia (Think the blog article series connect) makes this even more curious. Also, I had mentioned something about Cardcaptor Sakura in my very first blog post. It’s been 2 decades since anything Cardcaptor came out and a series revival is just 2 months away. It is just a series of synchronicities.
It would be fantastic to return to NYC. I still haven’t seen a Broadway play (Especially in the Minskoff Theatre) and haven’t experienced the charm of the Lincoln Centre for Performing Arts. Just before I left the city, I remarked to a friend (Yep, the same guy who was holidaying there 4 years ago) that someday I would own a property in the Upper East Side overlooking Central Park. We were walking along that exact same stretch on our way to Grand Central (God, that night was gorgeous).
It’s a dream of mine to return to the city for a few years and share that experience with my family and close friends. No one knows what the future holds but I’ve always been a dreamer and believe in them.
To the Future and to New York !!
Hello Rockefeller !!
Trip Down Nostalgia Road: A Love Letter to New York City (NYC) For this week’s post, I’ve decided to take a break from my usual football & cartoon posts.

Why 95% Of Websites and Blogs Fail
Hi There,
My name is Anthony Aires.
And I’ve been blogging since 2008 that’s when I launched my very first blog.
At the time blogging was just starting to hit mainstream.
It was all new to me because before then I just knew how to launch basic websites that I was able to get on the first page of the search engines for my targeted keywords.
That first blog was quite an adventure and learning experience.
There were ups and downs like starting any other business.
Luckily I made it through the gauntlet and am here today getting to tell you about how you can succeed with blogging.
I’m fortunate enough that I don’t have a quitter mindset and I keep dusting myself off after failed attempts until I prevail.
Today blogging is one of our main income generators bringing in a healthy 6 figure a year income working just 90 minutes a day from anywhere on my laptop.
Now I’m not saying you’re going to make as much money as me…you might make zero or you might make more.
There are folks that I have told about blogging that learned some strategies I taught them and they’ve gone on to make more than I do.
And there are other folks who have done nothing with what I have taught them.
I just want to be 100% transparent with you that this is NOT a GET RICH QUICK scheme.
In the beginning of getting your blog off the ground you’re going to have to roll up your sleeves and put in the work.
Once you do you’ll get a grasp … you’ll see the matrix things will get easier.
Your knowledge will compound and so will the results you get with your blog.
So, you want to start a blog?
That’s why you’re here right?
And why not?
Everyone’s talking about doing it, and you hear stories of the stay-at-home mom launching a recipe blog that’s making five-figures every month like clockwork – and the best part is that she can do it from anywhere she can carry her laptop.
Or, how about the guy who quit his job because his car blog started to make more than his 9 to 5, and he doesn’t have to deal with the 40 minute commute each way to and from work?
But before you start a blog you should know that the New York Times re-published a study from Technorati, which runs a search engine for blogs, stated that “only 7.4 million out of 133 million blogs had been updated with content in the past 120 days.”
That translates to 95% of all blogs treading their way to the internet graveyard.
And those are not just blogs that are dying – they are dreams that are dying with them.
Which is kind of a bummer if you think about it like that. Wouldn’t you agree?
DON’T GET DISCOURAGED!
I’m one of the few that have run and sold a few successful blogs, and I’ve been doing it for over 9 years. I figured I’d at least give you some reasons why this happens, and how you can avoid having your blog sent to the internet graveyard.
First, you should want to make blogging work for you.
Because blogging is an awesome, proven way to make some extra income from anywhere you can carry a laptop, working only part time every day.
In fact I personally have mastered a system that generates six-figures a year from my blog, working only 90 minutes a day so I know what the heck I’m talking about.
Here’s the 1st reason blogger’s fail.
They run out of ideas to blog about.
And the reason that happens is because they don’t pick a big enough niche to blog about.
See, the most important thing is that you never run out of content to blog about.
Because the more content you add to your blog, the more chances you have of getting visitors to come to your blog – and that’s when the magic happens.
When you have a lot of content to write about, you get visitors.
So, the question arises, what niche should you pick?
That’s an entire training on it’s own merit since it’s a very involved process.
This is probably the most important step that most folks rush through when they shouldn’t.
If you get this part right you can do almost everything else not so great and you’ll still have a blog that succeeds.
I actually teach this in-depth inside of our Blog and Prosper Academy.
And I show you how to know if your ideal passion niche blog will be profitable before you even launch your very own.
The 2nd reason blogger’s fail.
They don’t have a deployment plan for their blogs.
See, the way my system works is simple: I’ve devised a deployment plan that only takes me 90 minutes per day.
And blogging is like the turtle and the rabbit story: consistency and steadiness wins the race.
When you get it right with blogging you’ll actually make more while working the same, after you’ve gotten your blog off the ground.
That’s because blogging has a built-in passive income compounding traffic leverage effect that multiplies with the more posts you create for your blog.
The great thing about blogging, is that over time your traffic and income become passive.
But, people are trying to have the six-figure-success happen tomorrow.
Frankly, that’s just not going to happen.
Take it from me; I’ve been doing this for 9 years and I know all the shortcuts you can take.
And I show them to you inside of my Blog and Prosper Academy.
The 3rd Reason Bloggers Fail
They set their blogs up on a free blogging platform.
The challenge is that these platforms are usually very limited in performance-features.
Blogging becomes way easier when you host your own blogging platform.
You’re also limited on how you can make money when you have a blog on free blogging platforms.
I don’t know about you, but I don’t want anyone limiting how I make money – especially online, where you have no limits J
The scary part about it is that at any moment they can change their terms of service and start charging you, or decide to shut down because they can’t stay in business simply because they’re not charging anything.
You want to be in control of your blog platform.
It’s your hard-earned work.
You gain control of your blog platform when you host it with a hosting service that is secure, fast, and reliable, has backups, is hacker-free, and can help you get un-hacked if you somehow do.
If you want to setup your blogging platform on the same hosting service I use (which you should, since I’ve been doing this for 9 years and I’m an internet marketer that generates 6-figures from blogging, alone while running a 7 figure business.)
My Blog and Prosper Academy members get free hosting for a year (you can switch hosts anytime) plus we’ll set up your blog for you with 20 different advanced mobile responsive design themes, and the best plugins for an optimized finely tuned up blogging platform (the same way I set it all up)
The 4th Reason Bloggers Fail.
They get tech-overwhelm.
Listen, when you’re getting started and are still new at this whole blogging thing, the technology can be daunting and overwhelming.
Especially if you’re doing the setup yourself.
There’s a lot to learn, like:
What is a plugin and which ones do I install?
Which theme should I use?
How do I optimize my posts for SEO?
How do I tag images?
And much more.
Our Blog and Prosper Academy members don’t have to worry about this since we handle all the tech setup and backup while keeping the hackers away.
You can be running your blog in no time flat, without breaking a tech sweat.
So you can just focus on the most important thing … content that creates passive income compound leverage.
The 5th Reason Bloggers Fail.
They don’t know how to get visitors to their blog.
If you build it, they will not come.
You actually have to build it – and then you have to work it J
You’ve got to get the word out when you first start your blog.
You have to get in front of your targeted audience.
There are many ways to do that.
And that’s the big problem: there are so many ways that people try to go about doing that, and they fail miserably at all of them.
See, the way you must do it is by picking one or two ways to bring in visitors and focus on them initially.
Once you master them and the visitors start coming in, you can use the visitors you’re getting to help spread the word even more.
And if they if they like what you have to say…they’ll share your blog posts on their social media.
Then, you can scale to two more traffic sources, and rinse and repeat. Use those new visitors to spread the word for you, and so on, and so forth.
I’ve got a bonus training session that I’ve created on how to get in front of any audience instantly – you’ll see an actual case study of people doing it, and they don’t have to pay for ads, either.
You can have this entire bonus training when you watch this free video.
These are the main reasons people fail at blogging.
And now you know them – and knowing them is half the battle.
One more very very important detail…
Understand that your blog is your asset that you’ll keep on building.
The more you build it the more you’ll make.
It’s also the most sustainable business model online because blogs are content, and content is the internet, and all platforms from Google to Facebook to Twitter they need content.
Blogs feed content to those platforms J
