Yet Another Phantom Rework Idea: Ominous Nights
So, now that we have ominous events in Minecraft, and the devs have even talked about the idea of adding more ominous events... as basically the catch all for opt-in harder challenges in the game...
Why not throw phantoms into the generic undead enemies grouping in the game? I kid. I jest. but... hear me out:
Put them in an Ominous Event for night time. Not structure based: Just based around night. Specifically, if you drink an ominous bottle, thereby opting in with the bad omen effect, and try to sleep while you have bad omen that hasnt been cleared or converted into a trial omen / raid omen... Well, you don't skip the night. Instead... you're told that "No amount of rest can pass this night" and a little popup happens with a phantom noise, similar to the raid popup in bedrock edition. Now, you have Nightmare Omen. maybe a little advancement called Ins-omen-ia (ha get it) so what does nightmare omen do? As you may have guessed, it makes the night harder, specifically by making the mobs spawn with potion effects, making them spawn more armored, and changing up the spawning pool, to mostly comprise of the undead. This would include phantoms which would be the signature mob of Nightmare Nights. Of course, as with any ominous event, milk could cancel this, or prevent it entirely... which is a nice nod to having a nice warm glass of milk before bed to sleep better! But anyways, yeah, the whole night would be unskippable, and the effect would last around the length of a whole night. as a failsafe, it'd clear itself if it became day through... someone else sleeping if one player sleep is enabled, etc. and no, it wouldn't effect mob spawns for everyone: just mob spawns for you. Heck, I've seen a mod that makes phantoms grab mobs from the ground and drop them to kill them... and that got me thinking, what if some phantoms had AI goals that made them help out their undead friends, by delivering them right to your face! Some phantoms would just do the usual "fly around, bite you, be a nuisance" and some would be airdropping zombies or flying skeletons around. maaaybe it'd just be a type of jockey lol and as the reward for this? Well, for one, you get to grind more EXP so long as you don't die and lose the effect... but also, what if they just... dropped more rare loot? Or maybe... heck, maybe this is a suitable replacement for Looting if you were to nerf it honestly. I'd do this just for the XP and bones alone... if only zombies had good drops :P ...as for creepers, spiders, witches, and endermen? I have a feeling they'd be exempt from being buffed... I think they deserve their own little things, as they arent undead. Especially endermen (and witches already have raids) So yeah, Ins-omen-iac. If I make it a mod someday, I wanna call it that. I think it'd be cool to just lean into phantoms as being The Hard Mode Undead Enemy ...if theres stuff i left out of this, questions of how it might work, then let me know! or if you have ideas on how ominous / nightmare nights could be improved, you are very welcome to comment/reblog! ty for reading either way! BONUS: You got this far, so I might as well tell you a short, alternative idea I had for phantoms last week before this idea. What if... you know how phantoms circle around in the air, almost like how vultures circle around dead things? Like. i literally saw a vulture irl the other day and i was like "oh, huh, theres probably something dead there" well what if phantoms just... only spawned in specific locations that would basically act as markers for "oh, theres something underground here" whether it be a mineshaft, a monster room, or a whole buncha trial chambers!! it'd be cool, because then you'd be encouraged to explore the surface at night time; to walk into the danger of the night... and see if you can find any phantoms, because if you DO, then you know theres gotta be an underground structure... somewhere nearby. the logic is that, as the undead, they sense the presence of Souls. and ... well, old ancient civilization stuff tends to leave a large imprint of soul-vibes on the world.
...and of course theres also my old post about a phantom rework that boils down to "Stay in the dark long, and you gain insomnia. Be in the light, and it clears up. Phantoms are afraid of light. Deep tragic lore"
I'm proud of all of these ideas on how to make one of my favorite mob designs that I see has huge potential... into an actually INTERESTING and FUN mob! I can totally see Mojang going with involving them in something Ominous related

-- Found the fiddlestickbug in the nether fortress. It was stuck in the soul sand and had been struck by a wither blade. I've brought it home. Red helped me drip-feed it enough milk to purge the wither effect. It's curled up on the table now.  It's elytra is cracked and its wing is torn. Red thinks we can still save it, now that the wither effect is cured. I didn't need to use health potion. It's so small. It still hasn't eaten the sweetberry I left for it. I don't know how I'm gonna get it to ingest a regen potion if it doesn't eat. For now I've splashed it with a drop of regen. Also slowfall because it's probably used to flying. And turtle-master so it's less likely to put stress on its injuries.
I just had an idea.  Stewing flowers with suspicions effects boosts their properties.  If it won't drink potion, maybe I can get it to drink stew. "It" being the fiddlestickbug. It should all be ingredients it likes anyway, right? Fairies like mushrooms and plants and stuff, don't they? At least bugs do.  Oxeye daisy for regen. Maybe dandelion for saturation too, since the effects still won't be as potent as with a drinkable potion. I'm gonna feed it sus-stew with oxeye and dandelion until it's back to what Red thinks is its normal energy level.
It finally ate the berry. I'll have to offer it another one to see if it'll actually eat them regularly or if it only ate because it was starving.  The fiddlestickbug, I mean.  We need a better name for him.
--  Red says Purple (that's what we're calling fiddlestickbug now) has perked up. He responds when we try to interact with him now. I don't think it likes me very much. It seems to like Red the most.  It won't drink potion. I tried just holding a bottle of splash open near it, but he doesn't seem to like the fumes either.  Guess it's just sus-stew and splash-droplets, then. He'll have to deal with the fumes. Regen isn't best as a contact-potion. Still. If he won't let potion into his gut at least some will get in his lungs.  Or. You know what I mean. Whatever sticks have for lungs.  And whatever mobs have too I guess. At least we know it does actually like the sweetberries. Red wants to try beetroot next, since he first saw it hiding among the beets. I'm gonna try beet soup first.
--  The stews and potions are working! It's really slow but the tear in the wing and the cracks in the elytra are smaller now. Green keeps trying to play with it. Red's told him to stop picking it up so much.
--  It's started making little quiet humming noises to itself with He's started humming to himself with his wings under his elytra. Red says it's probably safe to try solid foods now, so I'm giving it Purple the flowers and the mushrooms whole. And the beets.  It's started climbing more stuff. I may have to splash it him with slowfall again.
--  Dammit Orange if you set it back at all  He tried to give it a bath Red said it screamed so frantically it sounded like it was being tortured Poor thing must've thought it was drowning he was being drowned. I know Orange just wanted to clean the mud from outside off of it but good grief.
Doesn't look like his injuries have gotten any worse from the bathing attempt. I know we can't just let it be dirty all the time but that was too much. And I don't think Yellow's idea of automating a bath is the solution. Solution. Maybe a different soap would make it easier. Something with a comforting scent. Or something that feels different. I'll have to experiment. I haven't tried my hand at soaps again in a while. It's just potions but with slimeballs as the first ingredient in the water bottle instead of netherwart. Then sunflower, then either honeycomb or cocoa beans but not both. After that I can add whatever. I hope Purple can bear with me through enough baths. Or bear with us I guess. I guess he doesn't need to know I'm making the soap. Anyway, Orange promised not to do the bowl of water again. Just pouring from now on. He'd used my basic soap. Just sunflower and honeycomb. Or did he use the sunflower and cocoa one? I'll have to check.
--  Okay so turns out Purple doesn't like mushrooms. Like, at all. Sorry for feeding you so much suspicious stew buddy. Maybe that's why he doesn't like me. No, he didn't like me before that. At least he seems fine with the dandelions and oxeye daisies. That's good. The effects won't be as potent with the raw flowers but he'll still get something from eating them. And he does like the beets. Maybe I'll try carrots next.
--  We're gonna start Purple on whatever you'd call physical therapy for limbs when those limbs are also a vocal organ. Red caught it Purple singing the other day, wings-out shell-up, so we've got to make sure he isn't straining himself too much and also that he's healing right. The plan is to have Green do singing exercises with him every day and monitor how he does. After each session we'll give him milk and then see what the potions and flowers might've hidden, and then do treatment. Once he's a little further along we'll switch to milk before the sessions. Green is really excited to play with his muse it Purple again. He can't fly away now. At least Purple likes him.
Carrots worked. Red suggests apples next.  I left a bunch of different flowers out for Purple, and everyone says he seemed to like the peonies and lilacs the most. Wait Orange found him in a peony back then, I remember his sketch. That makes sense. He can hide in it pretty well. I guess the lilac also makes sense. It's not exactly close to his color but it's closer than other flowers. Except maybe alliums. But I'm not putting those in a soap. Actually maybe I should add cornflower to his diet. It has jump-boost properties, maybe it would encourage him to start trying to fly again. Red says he should be trying to use his wings for flight too by now.
--  Purple likes apples. Purple doesn't like the peony-lilac soap Purple didn't seem too enthused about the peony-lilac soap, according to Orange.  Maybe I'll try again with cocoa bean instead of honeycomb. Same flowers. I've been trying to extend the duration of Purple's potion effects so he won't have to see me as often but I've run out of redstone dust. I'll have to ask Yellow for some. At least he ate the cornflower too. He probably wouldn't appreciate a potion of leaping but I may have to do one.
--  Purple's started getting an attitude. He's avoiding me when I go to get him for potions. He climbed up high (or flew maybe) and then didn't come down when I tried to lure him out with a cookie (he got into a batch of cookies Orange and I made the other day). And then he bit Green. That was fun. Red had to calm get him down after that.
We're switching to milk before the musical exercises now.  I'm short on redstone dust again.  Orange says that Purple liked the cocoa soap even less than the honeycomb soap. What else can I try. Is it still a texture thing?
--  Red is a lot more hands-off with Purple now. I think he's really getting worried that Purple hasn't been flying.  Or he still thinks that Green is a little too hands-on. At least he's letting me splash him without Red hanging over my shoulder now.
Purple is really taking advantage of the slowfall and leaping combined. But now Red is wondering if giving him too much protection is actually stunting his recovery. He flutters his wings and stuff when he's climbing to give himself a boost up but that's it. According to Green he doesn't show any discomfort with his wings when singing. I guess I can try weaning him off of slowfall. I feel like I shouldn't take away his flowers though. So he'll still have a bit of leaping. Just less.  Good news is, Orange said that Purple seemed okay with poppyseeds in the soap. I'm gonna try sand next.
--  Purple just jumped into the sand! He saw it and then just. Dove into it immediately.  Actually I think that's the closest he's gotten to flying. But then he started rubbing the grains all over his arms and legs, like actually scrubbing himself with them. Now he's shimmying and twisting around, probably trying to get it up into his back-fluff. Whatever Red called it. Setae, I think. He also called it a setal pile but I think that means a pile is just a type of setae. I dunno. It's all fuzz to me. Or maybe he's trying to rub his elytra against it. Anyway! I think I was right about the soap texture. Purple likes grit. Think I'm gonna try sand and poppyseeds both in the next one. Maybe charcoal too, for maximum exfoliation. Not that he'd care about that probably. He'd just appreciate the grittiness.
Ah. I will not be trying anymore soaps. Red learned that bug setae have this waxy coating, and it looks like Purple's does too. And it turns out that soap destroys that coating. So. No more soap. Geez no wonder he thought we were drowning him. I already made the new soap just for him too.
Honestly I'm not really that upset about it though, now that I think about it. I mean yeah it's a little disappointing but if it was gonna hurt him more then of course I'm gonna stop. Now I'm kinda glad he didn't know I was making the soaps. Orange doesn't wanna let him just roll around in sand though. Apparently sand-baths aren't clean enough for his standards. Green suggested an archeology brush. That actually sounds not too bad. As long as Purple knows to keep his shell closed, I'd hate to know what that might do to his wings. And I guess I did learn that I can make bar soap by adding a ball of clay at the end.
--  Good news is, the archeology brush worked.  Meh news is, I'm not splashing Purple with potions anymore. Red said he's still not flying enough. But at least Purple seems less wary of me now that  Bad news is, I'm out of redstone dust again and at this rate I'm starting to think that Yellow is pilfering my stash.
I'll confront him about it tomorrow. Purple actually let me approach him without getting anxious today. I'm still not sure he'll let me pick him up, but I don't want to pressure him and I'm pretty sure Red doesn't want us picking him up anymore anyway. Maybe I'll try skritching his back, see if he'll let me. He seems to like it when the others do it.

Faerie Fort Week Day Three -- Flowers
Good Times, for a Change
Ren is up to something, Lizzie can tell. He's been dodgy all day, avoiding her questions and quickly stowing things in his inventory when she gets too close to the tree he's decided is his guard post, and acting all— shifty, really.
Her first thought is that he's the Boogeyman, but that's quickly discarded, because she was the Boogeyman this week, and she's already lifted the curse. There hasn't been a new one chosen yet.
Her next thought— and she admits the next moment it’s a little unfairly paranoid— is that he's planning to betray her somehow. A part of her rebels at the thought— Ren has been nothing but helpful and loyal so far, and even went so far as to move his entire base so it would be across the river from her. He's sworn to defend her in exchange for that life she gave him, and he seems to be upholding that deal.
Not to mention it's just simply out of character. It's Ren. Ren with his boundless enthusiasm, going out of his way to get her diamonds for armor. Ren, who looms comfortingly at her back when they go to talk to other factions, lending reassurance by his presence alone.
No, of all of her allies, Ren is the one she's least worried about. But that doesn't change the fact that he is up to something, and she wants to know what. Unfortunately, all her wiles and wheedling get her nowhere. Ren— though laughing and apologetic— refuses to tell her what the big secret is. "It's not ready yet," is all he says. "Just— just give it a little bit." Perhaps he sees she's put out, because he hastens to add, "You'll like it! 'Twill be a gift worthy of a Queen. I hope," he finishes, a little sheepishly.
Lizzie gives him an imperious look and turns sharply on her heel. "All right, I'll leave you to your own devices," she calls over her shoulder. Inwardly, though, she's relieved. He's not plotting anything. He's just… being Ren.
The fond smile that crosses her face is almost entirely unconscious.
Lizzie finds other things to occupy herself with— the Fairy Fort still needs securing, and the tunnel to Cleo and BigB's castle isn't finished yet. She takes her wolves and goes hunting for mobs when evening falls; though neither she nor her allies are red or even close to it, stocking up on potion and weapon supplies now is always a good idea.
She returns in the morning, just as the sun is peeking over the treetops. Dragon and Ogre walk on either side of her, panting. Taxes brings up the rear, trotting proudly with a bone clenched tight in her teeth. To her surprise, Ren is there, sitting just inside the gate, his cheek resting on his knees, sound asleep.
"Sit," Lizzie whispers to her wolves, who obediently stop where they are, tongues lolling out of their mouths (except for Taxes, who begins gnawing quietly on her bone). She creeps toward her sleeping knight, mischief on her mind. She eases the gate open, holding her breath, but Ren doesn't stir. She drops into a crouch next to him and then pokes him sharply in the arm. "Ren," she says.
He sits bolt upright, almost falling backwards when he realizes how close Lizzie is. She laughs and stands as he shakes off his disorientation, offering him a hand. When he takes it, pulling himself up, she flinches— his skin is ice-cold.
"Were you out here all night?" she asks, frowning.
Ren tilts his head from side to side, working out the stiffness (there are several audible pops). "Am I in trouble if I say yes?"
Lizzie crosses her arms. "You have a base, Ren."
"But I was waiting for you!" he protests. "I finally finished the, er— the thing!"
Her fond exasperation is immediately set aside. "Oh? Do tell."
He ushers her over to one of the fallen logs they often use for seating beside the pond. Lizzie's wolves trail behind them, finding a good spot to lay down. "Here, one second." He pauses, then flaps a hand at her. "Close your eyes, it's a surprise!"
Lizzie rolls said eyes, but closes them dutifully. She feels something light settle on the top of her head, and she opens her eyes to see Ren's proud smile in front of her.
"Now you look the part," he says, with no small amount of satisfaction. He goes down to one knee and presses his fist over his heart in a salute. "My Queen."
Lizzie catches sight of her reflection in the pond and realizes what it is he's given her— a crown made of flowers, pink and blue and gold. She takes it off gently, so she can get a better look at it. She can see the progress— the knots and braiding in the stems get cleaner as she follows their line around the circle. "Ren," she says, and the sudden upswell of fondness she feels is almost enough to cut off the rest of her words. "This is lovely." She returns the crown to her head and takes Ren's offered hand to get to her feet. As he pulls her up, she uses the momentum to press a kiss to his cheek. "I appreciate this gift, O most loyal of knights mine."
The rose-red blush blooming on Ren's cheeks is almost better than the crown of flowers.

Thess vs the Betrayer of Felassan
I ... don't think I was supposed to do that yet.
Look, one of my things when I play basically any game that involves a fast travel system is to go a little out of my way when I'm travelling to a quest point in basically any area, so I can pick up useful fast travel points for later. The end result is generally not only making later area traversal easier, but ending up overlevelled right to hell for basically everything. Which is about what I need most of the time, especially these days. Anyway, end result was that I tripped over Desmal in Treviso at, like, level ten or something (which is hilarious when you consider that the walkthrough I read later when trying to figure out what the fuck I just did said something about waiting until level twenty, but that's the beauty of Storyteller mode) and ended up being able to unlock the Gate of Deep Sorrows. So I decided to make a detour in the Crossroads and get that off my quest list. That seemed like a good idea.
However, taking on what I later discovered was a level 30 boss at level 14 was ... probably ill-advised. In my defense, I had no idea what I was chasing down and what level we were looking at. Then again, I probably should have had an idea that I was out of my depth when the "trash mobs" were conning level 24. But by that point, I thought, "I'm on Storyteller mode; how bad could this be?"
Here's how bad that could be:
Massive health bar
Armour that needed to be chipped away first
Shield so head-on attacks were generally useless
Strong against ice and I brought Neve
Ranged attacks
Unblockable attacks
UNBLOCKABLE RANGED ATTACKS
Adds - again, with ranged attacks
All of these literally follow Rook around the arena
AoE damage in places
The arena is not large and it's easy to dodge right into a corner and get pummelled
REGENERATING HEALTH. TWICE
And, best of all, his health regen involved an arena-wide unblockable knock-down attack. TWICE
AND THIS WAS ON STORYTELLER MODE
I haven't had a fight like that since I stopped playing MMOs. I started that fight with one health potion, and I was pretty sure I was going to die. However, apparently that whole thing about dealing with fights like this in MMOs have taught me a few things - or at the very least the bloody-minded stubbornness to be, "NO. WE ARE NOT WIPING OR RUNNING. HOLD MY BEER".
(Or, well, coffee mug.)
On the bright side, this did teach me a few things. I learn best by doing, and - in video games, at least - better still out of sheer desperation. So I figured out a fair few things I probably should have sooner. Like ... Harding's healing mechanic. Swapping weapons and why it's a good idea. Charged attacks. How to dodge in a specific direction instead of just hitting space and hoping to get lucky. How to make your companions drop a combo on a motherfucker. How to swap weapons for best advantage in terms of what an enemy's weak to. And even how to do that "Press E To Commit Mortal Kombat-Style FATALITY" thing (granted, that was one of the adds, but still). And in the end, with zero health potions, everything on cool-down, and about two-thirds health, I beat the motherfucker.
You have no idea how much my arms hurt. Everything from the shoulders down. And across my upper back. So much tension and button-mashing and AAAAAAAAA. Yeah. See, this is why I thought I was going to have problems playing this game. But at least fights like that are only once in awhile, and I can see them coming now. And who knows? Maybe the things I learned in the process of that will make other fights easier.
For now, though, quick trip to the corner shop because I think I deserve cola. And possibly chocolate. Hopefully the ibuprofen will have kicked in by the time I get back, but I'm going to wander a bit more around Minrathous either way. Either the ibuprofen will have kicked in and I'll feel better, or it won't have had much effect and I'll hyperfocus past it by running around Minrathous with Neve.
It occurs to me that Varric must have met Neve and gone, "You literally stepped out of one of my novels, didn't you?"

BG3 rant
Unpopular opinion but while I am generally loving BG3 out of combat, I effing hate their encounter design philosophy with every fiber of my being.
I don't mind having to think tactically about boss fights. That's part of the fun of playing this sort of game.
What I don't want to do? Think tactically about every fucking trash fight.
What I really don't want to do? Rest every two fucking trash fights. Especially when just like every other game like this, your map is fucking useless so I spend 90% of my time wandering around lost and getting into random encounters I didn't want.
What I really really don't want to do? Fight mobs with the environment instead of fighting them with my gd abilities. No I DON'T want to constantly scan the fucking overcluttered screen for useful objects that are usually obscured by something or other so I can consider how to use my spells to use them to attack Goblin #7 or whatever the fuck. No I DON'T want to have to do stupid cheese like throw my healing potions on the ground. That's just idiotic.
Seriously just LET TRASH BE TRASH. Let us just bludgeon our way through it! Why the fuck is that such a reprehensible idea!!
Not everyone plays DnD because we just ~love the combat~. Some of us fucking hate the combat and just put up with it so we can do the other stuff. I've literally dropped out of tabletop games because all they ever fucking did was combat when that is literally the most boring part. LET ME STEAMROLL SHIT it's not hurting anyone.
signed, your easy mode is not easy mode get a fucking clue Larion. Easy mode = I don't have to think about combat tactics, period.
/end rant

Oooo, I see you started playing MC as well ^.^
My brain has been stuck in the game for a solid 2 months now, I've had so many ideas for building, so it's nice to see you enjoy it too <3
And to be fair, I do use creative mode for some things in my singleplayer world (cuz I wanna skip to the good parts lol). But I think if the potion lab I build in the survival multiplayer I'm in was what I had made in that singleplayer, a sad Grian looking for weakness potions would be delighted to stumble upon it pffttt
I have 2 double chests of finished potions, huge nether wart field, endless water source, 5 brewing stands, a whole double chest of at least 3 of every potion ingredient, pre-prepared awkward potions, 3stacks of bottles, blaze rods for days, you name it and it's there
The only issue is that all weakness potions I have ready are turned into splash potions, cuz I've never really had the desire to chug them myself (besides that one time I tired to get the "have every potion effect on all at once" achievement xdd)
~🌠
Ive been watching mcyt religiously for abt 2 yrs now (prior to that i had ZERO exposure to minecraft at all) and have joked before that its given me fucking minecraft shingles bc i never got my crafting vaccination as a kid. This thing has DESTROYED my braincells its just all minecraft blocks now, im obsessed
Ive also shamelessly used cheats in my first proper singleplayer world-- pretty much just to teleport to coords bc i get lost real easily and an hour of trying to navigate back with F3 is not my idea of a good time 😭😭😭😭 but with this new 1.20 singleplayer my plan is basically play on peaceful until i can get set up with a house and get a bit more practice with movement, then switch it to easy to practice killing mobs, then slowly ramp up the difficulty until i get to hard so i can cure zombie villagers. I watched p much the entirety of Pixlriffs' Survival Guide S2 around January after getting super sick and needed smth to entertain myself with, and now im following along with his S3 bc he is just the guy ever to me :] its taught me a lot abt the mechanics of minecraft which has been REALLY nice for a late learner 💀💀💀💀
YOUR POTION ROOM SOUNDS SO COOL!!!!! Thats so many ingredients,,,, i love your organization system that sounds so nice. Ive found my favorite thing in minecraft is literally inventory management SKDNEKDJD hermits beware i am the anti-chest monster guy<3 but yeah gods can u imagine if Grian had used splash potions 😭😭😭 he wouldve dropped SO FAST, RIP
How do you usually plan your builds??? I got myself a creative flatworld to make stuff in, but ive found that idea i had with taking a screenshot of the area and drawing on it has REALLY helped me put some concrete visuals to the ideas ive had which has been SUPER helpful. I just finished building the silhouette of my future lakehouse the other day (via the Pixlriffs stone method) so now im just messing around with block palettes to see how i wanna incorporate the cherry wood :] im super excited to build it for real in survival!!!!

Do y'all miss when Minecraft had floating islands, I do too, So hear my message of a new update idea.
The sky dive update
The sky dive update would consist of a reimagine of the over world skies to make a more lively and fulfilling biome. Also the update would be mainly a reference to the most influential and important mod ever, the Aether without being too direct.
Rework ideas:
Cloud blocks: cloud blocks would work similar to powdered snow but instead of just crouching, you'd need the feather falling enchants.
Sky island gen: new world gen for the sky islands would be a thing as the sky islands are, in the sky.
New weather: while the old clouds can stay, we would need new weather conditions, as they're pretty lacking even with the ones we have. An idea is to make much more like sandstorms and acid rains but personally, more sources that can change the weather to get weather specific drops would be nice.
Mob ideas:
Breeze zombie: so we have the Drowned and Husk, a ground zombie and water zombie respectively, so why not an air zombie. It could be the common hostile mob at night and have a slow fall like a chicken and act as a hostile fantasy mob to fit in with Mojang's standards. Could drop most standard zombie drops but also some cloud blocks but also a rare wind charge or even a very rare mace. Imagine a breeze zombie with a mace.
Living phantom: (explanation - so the in game phantom is an undead mob, so my reasoning is if Mojang also considers them a "real" mob and not a sleep deprived nightmare we could get a living variant.) the living phantom can be a great early travel system for anyone who doesn't have a elytra or rockets. A fantasy mob that can be ridden by one player, they'd move at a reasonable pace as they get your island to island. Before you can even saddle her up, you will have to track her as she is very skiddish and will fly away if you approach and will attack if you attack them. They can lift you up and drop you if you let them but aren't social, so attacking one won't provoke the others.
Jelly: A floating gelatinous organism that more closely resembles the slimes with strange tendrils underneath. The different sizes have different effects.
Size one Jellys will attach to the player but cannot move them even slightly.
Size two Jellys are bigger and can slowly move the player around, but the player can still kill them and or remove themselves from them with the elytra, water, or just punching it off.
Size four Jellys are as big as normal size four slimes and can successfully drag the player away. They cannot be escaped from as the elytra cannot produce enough lift, but you still can kill them but it will be more difficult. All Jellys can drop Jelly balls, a new item to make potions of cloud walking, levitation, slow falling, and is used in new crafting recipes.
Please add on to the discussion as a sky update would be so cool, and with the elytra and mace, the sky does seem the limit

How to Make Gold in WoW Classic Using Auction House Addons
Tumblr media
One of the best ways to make gold in WoW Classic is through the Auction House. Using addons like TSM or Auctionator will help you maximize your profits.
Picking the right Professions is also important. Herbalism and Alchemy are great for gold farming as they can produce potions and elixirs that sell well on the Auction House.
Herbalism
If you are looking for an easy way to make gold in MMOGAH classic wow, herbalism is one of the best options. It provides high levels of passive income and can be paired with other professions for even higher profits.
The most important herb to farm is Black Lotus, which is used to create potions and elixirs that can be sold for a high price. These potions and elixirs provide powerful buffs for raiding and are in high demand.
Another great way to make gold is by skinning mobs. This is a fast way to level up, but it can be difficult to compete with thousands of people who are also skinning. However, you can make a lot of money by stacking leathers and selling them at the auction house.
Alchemy
In WoW Classic, alchemy is a great profession to level if you’re looking for fast gold farming. It creates potions and elixirs that are in high demand for dungeons, raids, and PvP.
In addition to a wide variety of potions, alchemists can also create flasks that are in high demand for raids and speed runs. This is especially true when you can craft Recipe: Transmute Arcanite, which is sold by Bro’Kin in Alterac Mountains and Scholomance.
Skinning is another lucrative profession, particularly at the beginning of the expansion. It requires a little more work than Herbalism but can be very profitable. The best spot to skin is Un’goro Crater, where you can easily kill the level 55-55 elite beasts that drop Devilsaur Leather, which sells for a premium on the Auction House.
Enchanting
Getting the Enchanting profession is key when gold farming, as it offers great profits. This is one of the best ways to earn gold in Vanilla WoW, and there are plenty of addons that optimize gold making such as TSM.
The enchanting profession can be profitable even at low levels, as there are many cheap ingredients that sell well on the auction house. The crafted gear made from these materials can also sell for a high price.
Other sources of gold include farming reputation with factions to unlock top-tier items that can be sold for a good profit, and completing daily quests. The Rogue class is an excellent choice for this, as it can make gold by picking pockets and stealing resources from mobs.
Mining
As a general rule, you can make plenty of gold in Classic WoW by gathering and selling materials. You can do this by herbing, mining and enchanting. However, some classes are better than others for this purpose. For example, mages are ideal for AoE farming in the open world and also for powerleveling runs. Rogues are also great for the job as they have a handy Pick Pocket ability that allows them to steal items and resources from monsters that have pockets.
vimeo
The Thousand Needles zone is a good place to start a wow hardcore gold farm because it has plenty of low-level mobs that drop Linen Cloth and raw Copper. You can also get a lot of profit by selling your loot at the Auction House. It is also a good idea to use a good auction addon, such as Auctionator or Auctioneer.
Skinning
Aside from Herbalism and Mining, spinning is another great way to make classic wow gold. Skinning mobs yields a good amount of gold and can be used to fund other professions.
The Northern part of Felwood is one of the best places to farm cloths in WoW Classic, as plaguebats drop lots of Ironweb Spider Silk and Essence of Water. In addition, you can find the cheapest leather in the market.
It’s a safe and fast way to make gold, and there is less of a chance of getting banned than bots. However, you should only buy your WoW token from a reputable seller to avoid scams and poor customer service. A good choice is PlayerAuctions, which offers a low price and great customer service.

Minecraft interiors are Important!! Please at least have the first three XD /nsrs
Anyways, if you need ideas these are my favorite. (not in any particular order, but with some of my favorite examples mentioned)
Enchanting room/library (lots of different ways to decorate these but GeminiTays s8 hermitcraft starter base has my favorite)
Storage Room (aka, chests galore. Yes there can be multiple. I like to fill a tower with chests that just go up until the roof and then i make and fill basement layers XD)
Furnaces/Smelting Room (can be automated or manual, and it's dealer's choice for decoration or not. Could be a nice kitchen facade or an industrial plant looking thing. (My favorite is Fwhips factory like builds for these, especially his latest hardcore world and his s2 empires builds))
Potion room/tower/basement (Can keep potion ingredients in chests, or grow nether wart right there in the room, and use the brewing stands as magical or scientific decorations. Barrels and cauldrons add to this :) My favorite example is Shubble from s2 of Empires)
Greenhouse add-on/indoor farm (I just love these, and they add to the usefulness as well as the overall aesthetic if you can pull it off)
Decorative room that only serves to amuse or intimidate (Throne room, head room (GeminiTay s9 HC cough cough), dungeon, sitting area, meeting room (PearlescentMoon's s9 HC build has an EPIC meeting room for Soup Group shenanigans), murals or tiled floors, pit to the void, futuristic looking entryway, an aquarium wall, or something to show the age of a build, so many options really)
Aviary/Apiary/Zoo like enclosure (a room that is decorated like a biome you would or could find a passive (or hostile if that floats your boat) mob, and it houses the mob in it. Grians s6 tiered base had an aviary for parrots, and GeminiTay had an Apiary for her bees, Scar's Jellie Panda reserve on Double Life, Fwhip's s2 empires Pig Pit (I think it was called the pork district, but he put pigs in a ravine like area of his cavern that he decrated with cool dripstone and moss), and literally any hostile mob Scar decided to put in Scarland oh my gods-)
Visitor/Guest Rooms (This is my personal preference for SMPs because it allows me to dedicate a space for visitors to stash their stuff, reset their spawn, or camp out while travelling. It also means I can decorate it to fit their vibe (if for someone specific) or let them decorate it for me. It feels cozy and kind, and I like that ^-^)
Shop/Stand/Trading center (A dedicated spot (that i usually keep close to or connected to my base) for trades or stock to be kept. It can also be for people to drop stuff off like a mailbox, or just serve as a regular hc reminiscent shop. I prefer mailbox and trade building (shack) for the trading of gifts or resources so we don't have to track each other down or make many full trips.)
Any room that acts as a mineshaft entrance or the access point to a mine (I love these so much, because you can decorate it in so many cool ways (dwarven, technical, archeological, abandoned, restored, medieval, with an excess of greenery, or a handmade cave/custom cave) and it still has a very useful purpose. And if you don't need to go mining anymore, then it turns what was useful into something of note, something to look at, or a way to respect what was so useful to you in the earlier game.)
In general, having little details like windows, paintings, stairways, railings, decks or porches, lights, a unique flooring, or some sort of houseplant adds a lot to most rooms even if they're mostly empty or too small to be functional.
Hope this helps, and good luck with your adventure into the land of interiors! /genuine /light hearted
trying to do an interior in minecraft is just me frantically googling ''WHAT ROOMS EXIST IN A HOUSE''

okay well i might as well just get off my whining and stressing, and just write casually
so, heres an idea i dont think i ever talked much about. ive always wanted nether fortresses to get an update, but like...
yknow, i think a lot of overhauls to nether fortresses arent necessarily to my taste. I hear some people say they like the structure the way it is, and... honestly, I do really respect its simplicity. I just think it needs some more details in some areas, maybe a TAD bit more intentional level design but like, nothing too crazy. I mostly just want it to use a bit more blocks. But at the same time, the... weirdly liminal feeling of how its just, a buncha interconnected corridors and bridges, is really cool. I wouldn't be surprised if C418s song Concrete Halls was named after the fortresses. Cus I mean, they really are just... ominously empty hallways. Love em for that but you know what else has a liminal feeling and uses a fairly simple and clean palette? trial chambers. I think out of ANY structure in the game, nether fortresses would benefit the most from trial spawners and vaults. I mean, for one they have blazes which is connected to breezes (i would imagine they're both like, constructs. but this post isnt gonna get into lore too much despite the fact i do have thoughts on the wither and such) but i also! remember mojang! or at least... slicedlime, saying that they were hoping to redo the way spawning worked in fortresses, because its not really consistent since it works on the normal mobcap. thats... something that trial spawners fix!! they dont need to adhere to normal mob spawning logic!! also yknow. souls! wither skeletons! works great. ominous nether fortress would be cool so... not to say that every overhaul NEEDS some big new shiny content thing, but also... its fun to think of. so lemme introduce you to... my line of thought for said new thing, first :P ive found it neat how the Mace showcases like, a cool duality. You have the lightweightedness of the breeze, of wind itself, and you have... what could be considered either the opposite, or just another side of the coin so to speak: Heaviness. the drop that comes after the jump. I really like the light vs heavy theming, and ofc the heavy core also fits with the industrial kinda vibes the trial chambers have so! lets apply this... to blazes! it doesnt have to be an EXACT opposite, but something that sorta works in tandem... question is, whats the theming of the blaze? I mean, okay. if its wind for the breeze, then its fire ofc! but... what is fire known for? Listen there was... a lot of thoughts i had about making it Heat, and having some... freezeflame soulfire weapon, but no. I went with Destruction. thats the theming of not just the blaze, but the wither itself, I'd say. Decay and Destruction. So great, now whats the opposite of destruction, and something that'd kinda fit with the lore of people-trying-to-do-soul-magic ? Healing !! ghast tears literally make regen potions and end crystals that heal the dragon!! and!! wither skeletons are basically people who, in a messed up way, did kinda get to Live beyond death. but i mostly just think playstyles revolving around the balance of healing and damage are cool. SO THE ITEM ITSELF: The Soul Siphon something shaped sorta like a teacup, that you hold, and... as with how the mace works effectively with going up high, the soul siphon would work effectively by Taking Damage or just, damage being dealt to nearby things. maybe both. but. i think it'd just gain charge by you taking damage! and it is used... to heal things! its a support item, not necessarily a weapon but yknow whats cool? If we make it do instant-health effects, then that healing... could be used to kill undead monsters, hehe. so, take damage to build up charge for healing! it'd make fire charges maybe actually pretty good for just like, taking lots of small chip damage to charge it up without getting in too much danger. but what about wind burst? well, lets apply a similar idea, and say theres a unique enchant for the soul siphon that lets you self damage yourself! or as i put it a few months ago in discord:
what it does is it heals things, but it requires you to take damage to use it... and the enchant that it has, its equivalent of wind burst, is one that lets you damage yourself, hence letting you charge up the Thing and use it more effectively. just as wind burst lets you go high up to effectively use the maces mechanic of doing more damage from high up. and there now its an enchantment that makes sense as realistically being deemed an upgrade even though its a sidegrade in some ways
however recently ive rethought back to older concepts, involving "stuff nearby taking damage is what charges it" and... how to design it around that. like, i think it'd be cool if it was charged by general Destruction... and could have a feedback loop in a way, a combo system, of feeding off of like. i guess... it applying Wither to enemies? and so it'd gain charge by withering them? unsure. i think theres a lotta ways to take it and... i guess thats why i was so overthinking posting about this. but i think theres a lotta potential for a freaky twist on a lifestealing weapon / doohickey, considering ghasts and soul magic and... the beacon, maybe even! so thats my pitch. for some new unique reward for nether fortresses to have. not that i think it needs much more than a loot revamp and some more arena-type-areas. a soul banner pattern design would be cool tho as loot. maybe a ruined portal room inside the center...

Putting the Dog in Dogwarts
A Third Life SMP Renchanting crackfic that got treated slightly too seriously, but the overall tone is still ridiculous. No warnings, lots of wolves, and roughly 2600 words.
The war is in full swing and Martyn can’t find the King. It’s not like they’re under attack right this minute, but they could be any time! And they’ve got attacks planned themselves, the Red Army needs to take the offense if they’ve got any chance at winning this godforsaken game, but Ren is nowhere to be found. Martyn’s checked every room in their underground kingdom several times over, and he’s not out in the farms, and he’s not responding to messages, and he’s not with Skizz or Etho or BigB. He’s about to start tearing floorboards up, not to try and find anything, just because if he doesn’t break something soon he’s going to lose it. Instead, he decides some fresh air will do him good and if Ren isn’t here, someone’s got to look over Dogwarts.
“Become the Hand to the King, he said,” Martyn grumbles as he patrols. “I’ll be with you to the end, he said! It’s not even the end yet and he’s already left!”
“Was my beheading technique not good enough for him? I know it took a couple swings, but he asked for it! And it’s not like this is something you can practice!”
“Ooh let’s make Dogwarts a Kingdom! What a great idea that is, it’ll be so intimidating, really give us an edge! What kind of King creates a Kingdom and then just leaves?! Without telling his Hand, by which I mean bloody me! Seriously Ren, what the f-”
His throat is getting sore by the time he’s done a couple rounds. Thankfully, his position high on the kingdom’s walls means no-one’s able to hear him, but he’s this close to straight up asking their enemies if they’ve somehow captured Ren and are holding him hostage. The only reason he’s not done that is because there’s no way anyone would have kidnapped the King and not have bragged about it by now. Which means he still has no clue where Ren is.
Early on, disappearing unannounced was par the course, that’s how he’d spent the first few weeks! Perfectly fine, nothing to worry about, especially before solid alliances had formed. But suddenly disappearing amidst war preparations after appointing yourself King? Martyn’s grip on his sword is white knuckled. At least he knows Ren isn’t dead, or it would be in chat. Ren isn’t dead. He’s not. He’s just not here right now. Martyn will keep patrolling, and he’ll come home soon. Red eyed and blood stained but still Ren, and they can go back to the safety of the basements and plan how to get the Red Army through this war.
He’s shaken from his thoughts by the sound of movement. Hurried steps, something crashing through the undergrowth. To the left? Where? Doesn’t sound like a person, moving too quickly for a regular mob, could it be a one of Joel’s wolves? Is it the start of an attack, or a distraction? Martyn’s shield is up, sword swapped out for an ender pearl.
A huge brown wolf breaches the line of trees. Martyn’s shoulders drop- Joel’s wolves are grey, and it’s just the one animal. False alarm, thank goodness. But this wolf lifts its head and howls, and from the trees the sound is echoed. Not only echoed, but amplified, the sound so loud and so haunting it makes the hair on his neck stand up. Ok, not a false alarm after all- Dogwarts is surrounded, something about these wolves is not natural, and he’s in here, alone.
Arrows, splash potions, ender pearls, and the high ground is what he needs. Right now, he has all of the above, but oh man that sounded like a really unreasonable amount of wolves. He’s going to kill Joel who’s surely somehow behind this, and then whenever Ren shows up, kill him for leaving him to deal with this by himself. The wolves emerge from the woods as the brown one moves forward, and their numbers grow until a veritable sea of animals circles outside the walls. Really putting the dog in Dogwarts he thinks hysterically, and he knows the situation’s bad if that’s the best he can come up with.
The only door they have is heavily reinforced, and he runs along the top of the walls towards it. When the door eventually breaks, the animals will form a bottleneck for him to shoot. That brown wolf, clearly the largest of the lot, is pacing outside. It rears up on its hindlegs and Martyn braces for the sound of wood splintering. But what he hears instead is- the sound of scratching? He peers over the edge of the wall to see this giant wolf scrambling for purchase against the door. Its claws seem to be making indents, sure, but it’s hardly a display of brute animal force. He wants to laugh. The wolf sits back down with a whine, and lifts its head up to look at him.
Either Martyn’s losing his mind from stress, or the wolf is honest-to-god giving him puppy dog eyes.
The wolf tilts it head to the side, and one of its ears flops down. Its big blue eyes look hopefully up at him. Martyn ends up in a bizarre type of stand off, the wolf continuing to gaze imploringly up at him and him staring disbelievingly back. He could be dramatically misreading this situation, but he might not actually be in danger? This is not the behaviour of an enraged or violent animal, and if this one is the leader, surely the other wolves will mimic it. Honestly, this whole thing is super weird, and if he needs to kill these wolves, he’d like some confirmation before he takes on such a large pack. Martyn decides he can let this first one in, see if it’s aggressive and make a decision from there. Sure it might not be the brightest move, but he and Ren are roughly 80% of each other's impulse control, and guess who’s still not back yet?
He makes the jumps from the walls to Renchanting’s roof to the ground in a well practiced series of motions, landing lightly on the grass. Enderpearl at the ready, he heads to the door. The scratching had renewed in earnest as soon as he left sight, and now as he gets closer, he can hear a high keening. Martyn undoes the locks on the door, getting his shield up just in time for it to be knocked aside. The hulking mass of brown fur throws itself at him, sending them both crashing to the ground. He tries to throw the pearl, but he can’t lift his arm from where the wolf has him pinned. Martyn braces for a humiliating and painful death, but it doesn’t come. The door is still open and he can hear the other wolves as they prowl around him, but still no attack. Huh.
However, he is being severely squashed.
“Scuse me,” he gasps, trying to shove the animal off him, “Kind of needing to breathe here?”
The wolf looks down at him, before its eyes widen and it stands up, giving Martyn some room.
“Thanks,” he wheezes, propping himself up with one arm, the other clutching his chest. Forget being outright killed by a wolf, dying to suffocation like that would have been so much more embarrassing.
Speaking of being killed, he really should lock their door again. He stands, somewhat shakily, and fumbles his way through all the deadbolts. The brown wolf follows and keeps trying to push its nose into Martyn’s hands, which does not help with the locks but is surprisingly endearing. Once the entrance to Dogwarts is again secure, he gives it a tentative pat. He’s rewarded by the wolf shoving its whole face at his hand, its tail wagging furiously. Right. So, very much not a threat then. This wolf seems way more like a dog honestly, what a big softie.
Martyn sighs in relief as he continues to pet it. This random attack of wolves wasn’t an attack after all, and if he can tame some of this lot, that might give Dogwarts an edge in battle. Joel’s tried to get a monopoly on wolves, but he’s not going to be the only one with an army of dogs for much longer. He looks down at the animal with a grin.
“Who’s a good wolf?” he says, “Who’s going to kill for us? Yes, yes it’s you!”
The wolf is seemingly delighted.
“You’re ready to kill, aren’t you? Ready to destroy and conquer the server in the name of our king? Yes you are!”
The wolf rolls over, and sort of wriggles around in the grass.
“You might need some training, but I’m loving this enthusiasm.”
He busies himself collecting bones from their storage underground, and does his best to tame the pack. He watches their eyes soften, and one by one they dip their heads to allow him to collar them. The red fabric, the same wool as the banners, is stark against their grey fur. The brown wolf stays by his side throughout this process, sometimes almost knocking him over. Martyn doesn’t think this wolf realises quite how large it is, despite it almost reaching his shoulders.
After successfully wrangling a good thirty or so wolves, he’s ready to call it a day. The sun is starting to sink below the horizon, and Ren still isn’t back. There’s been nothing in chat, no death message or hostage negotiation. Martyn runs a hand through his hair, putting his communicator away. The brown wolf nudges at his hand again, and he smiles faintly as he scratches its ears. He’s already tried taming it, but nothing seems to change and it won’t let him collar it. Still, it’s undeniably friendly and he appreciates the company.
Martyn spends the rest of the evening trading with villagers, after stationing several wolves at different watchpoints atop their walls. There’s only so much a person can do at once, so hopefully Dogwart’s new wolves will prove good guard dogs while he’s busy below ground.
The brown wolf refuses to leave him alone, apparently wanting to stick with him over the pack, and Martyn lets it follow him into their makeshift trading hall. Wheat, emeralds, and books slip through his fingers like sand, and the villagers faces blur together as time drags on. His communicator, still silent, weighs heavy in his pocket.
Back and forth from the fields, moving along the rows of villagers, slowly filling chests and bookshelves. The work is monotonous and his mind is blissfully quiet. His wolf begins to slow down, following him more calmly, and they fall into a comfortable rhythm walking together. Eventually when Martyn makes his way up the steps to the wheat fields, the sky is dark enough for him to see the stars. The humming of cicadas sounds from the surrounding woods, and the night air is cool on his face. He stands still in the fields, wheat stalks swaying around him. Martyn stares up at a full moon, and for a moment, the breeze carries with it a faint whispering. There’s rustling behind him, and then the brown wolf is nudging him back towards the stairs. The whispers at the back of his mind vanish, and he shakes his head to clear it, following the wolf to the warmth of the basement. He’s tired, it’s been an awfully long day.
He does one final round of trading before calling it a night. The result of his efforts is over a stack of emeralds, and four fully-stocked bookshelves. Not bad at all for one evening’s work, and they’ll be able to trade those emeralds for more weapons and armour tomorrow. He checks his communicator, and barely feels anything when he’s greeted by a blank screen. Ren will be back by morning. He has to be.
Martyn’s ready to head to his room, but realises the wolf isn’t following him. Turning around, he sees it curled up on Ren’s bed, nestled in the corner of the trading hall by the furnaces. Is it disrespectful to let a random wolf sleep on his King’s bed? He toys with the question for a moment, but somewhat vindictively decides that if Ren did care, he should be here to do something about it. Anyway, he can’t blame the wolf, must be nice and cosy for it with that heating nearby. He pauses. Actually, it would be quite a good place to sleep. He’s been a little jealous of the warmth, especially in the new Red Winter, but hasn’t had the time to put a furnace in his own quarters. It’s not like Ren’s using the bed at the moment, plus it’s hardly disrespectful if he doesn’t know about it, right?
If you’re going to abandon your Hand in the middle of a war, Martyn thinks, said Hand is at least entitled to steal your bed while you’re gone. It’s his last thought before he falls asleep to the crackling of furnaces and his wolf’s soft snoring.
_______
The next morning, he wakes up to find the wolf missing from the end of the bed. Instead, Ren is clinging to him in his sleep, tail curled around one of Martyn’s legs. He lies there in disbelief, tired mind barely comprehending the reality of the situation. If Ren thinks he can just disappear for a full day, and then come back and cuddle with him like nothing happened, he’s got another thing coming!
Martyn’s not going to move right away, though. It’s cold in the mornings.
Thoughts still clouded by the remnants of sleep, he lets himself hold Ren a little closer. He’s honest enough to admit he was worried, badly, but he hadn’t realised quite how much it would mean to have Ren back safe and with him again. Still, he is definitely going to give him a piece of his mind when he wakes up! Inconsiderate bastard, he thinks, running a hand tenderly through his King’s hair.
When Ren eventually stirs, he’s met with Martyn glaring at him.
“M’Hand?” he says, words slurring slightly, “What’re you doing here?”
Martyn all but bristles in indignation.
“What am I doing here? What are you doing here?! Or, more importantly, what were you doing not here!”
“Whuh-”
“You were gone all day, and now you just show up like nothing happened?”
“What?” Ren sits up, Martyn’s tone snapping him awake. “I left to go steal Joel’s wolves in the morning, but I came right back! I helped you tame them, and then we did some trading- “
That is absolutely not what happened yesterday- wait. Martyn’s eyes flick to the fluffy brown ears poking through Ren’s hair.
“Hold on,” he interrupts. “I’m going to ask you a question, and you are going to answer it seriously.”
“Sure?”
“You won’t laugh.”
He shakes his head.
“Okay. Are you honestly implying you spent yesterday as a wolf?”
“Uh, yeah?” He gestures to his ears. “Dude, my name’s literally Renthedog, I thought it was obvious?”
Martyn blinks at him.
“Did- did you not know I could do that?”
Martyn lies back down and covers his face with his hands.
“So there was this big brown dog helping out yesterday, and you didn’t question it?” Ren asks, failing to keep the laughter out of his voice. Martyn reaches up and whacks him in retaliation.
“I thought you were missing, you prick! I was busy freaking out!”
“Okay, that’s fair-”
“I thought you’d left me.”
The furnaces next to them had run out of coal partway through the night. The air feels colder than it should.
“I’m sorry,” Ren takes both Martyn’s hands in his own. “I really thought you knew it was me, I didn’t mean to make you think you’d been abandoned like that.”
Martyn looks up at him, and sees nothing but sincerity in red eyes.
“It’s you and me until the end.”
“Until the end,” he repeats, and Ren pulls him up into a hug.

You gave me my own tag! 🥹🥹 I feel so loved! But now because you did that, I have to fill it, ya know? Could you think up an instance where Tommy would have a purple potion on him, and he would need to store Dream? Because I need that interaction and don't have enough ideas to imagine it on my own. Also, any good Tommy + George (either can be nommer) storing scenarios? I need that interaction too cuz Sapnap has had his turn with little TomTom. You are amazing, love you(/p)!
-Gremlin Anon
Thank you so much for your kind words!! 💚 and of course I gave you a tag! You’re here so often it would simply be rude not to : )
Also I’m sorry for posting this so late, I was sleeping then immediately went to work and it was a bit hectic lol
Dream would wind up being the one to give the purple potion to Tommy. In a fic im finishing up pretty quick, he tells Sapnap that after the mishap with XD he carries a purple potion around along with a shrinking and growing potion. Just to be safe.
I imagine in a scenario like this, there’s literally no choice. He’s in blob form, cold from the weather and hurt due to mobs, and Tommy’s the only person around. They’re too far from any base to get there fast enough to help Dream, so he makes the offer. He barely manages to open his inventory and drop the purple potion in front of Tommy. He tells the teen that he’d make it up to him in anyway as long as he helps him.
Tommy can’t refuse. (They’re still not on perfectly good terms in this au, but they’re not complete enemies either. The disc thing is simply a rivalry, like Wilbur and Q’s playful banters. They both didn’t know until this point that the other considered them a friend and would be willing to help them with situations like this)
He had a really hard time getting Dream down, not used to the whole nomming thing at all. Dream tries his best to make it easier on him and tries to coach him through it. When he finally gets the other down, he feels like his sense of balance is completely distorted, even with Dream staying still.
He rushes to Sapnap’s base (the closest and the first one Tommy trusts to help him with Dream) and Sapnap helps him release the blob, tending to his wounds and cleaning him up. They both settle in the living room, Dream still in blob form tucked in Sapnap’s arms as he and Tommy talk about what happened. He tells Tommy that Dream is thankful he was willing to take that burden on for him. Dream tries to squirm out of Sapnap’s grasp, face lighting up a bright green in embarrassment.
Later on when Dream’s in human form, he talks to Tommy about it and gives a proper thanks. Tommy simply asks for his discs in return in a smug, playful matter to try and steer the conversation away from being as serious as it was.
As for George and Tommy, I imagine it begins as a simple banter, but one that George gets sick of pretty quick. Maybe he didn’t get much sleep last night, maybe he’s just not in a good mental state. He tries his damnest not to lash out at the boy, instead searching his inventory for a potion so he could go hide in Sapnap. Unfortunately, things don’t turn out that way and his clumsy fingers drop the shrinking potion directly onto his foot, glass shattering and potion particles quickly making their way up his body. When he woke up, Tommy had him in his hands, concern written all over his features. He was familiar with his family’s solution; when Wilbur and Techno began to act like this, Phil would store them until they felt better.
He didn’t have a purple potion, but he explained his thinking and George gave him the one from his inventory. He also told the teen that if he wanted out, he was to be released immediately. Tommy nodded, drinking the potion then gently lowering the other into his mouth.
After he got George settled, he went to Sapnap’s office and explained the situation. Sapnap directed him to Dream’s base, where he let the brunette out and helped him clean up while Dream worked on some food to get some kind of sustenance into the other. George wasn’t happy to be woken up so soon, but Dream cocooned him in blankets and let him lay back down on the couch after he ate.
George never gave a proper thanks to Tommy, too stubborn and slightly ashamed of the teen seeing him in such a state to. Dream was the one who thanked Tommy, explaining that George just gets like that sometimes (he has nightmares caused by and because of XD) and that it was nice of him to offer to help. After that point, Dream (and eventually George) get along a lot better with Tommy than before.
George also gets his turn, in the form of Tommy being obnoxious while he’s trying to work (courtesy of Sapnap telling him George is being all stuck up) and George simply glares the teen down, not breaking eye contact as he downs the purple potion. Tommy doesn’t get far when he tries to run, the splash potion takes effect quickly and before he even knew what was happening he was already being swallowed.
When he complained, George smugly replied, “just returning the favor.”

@104violet enough reason for me to spill all my thoughts thank you!!
So I did a lot of thinking… and the mechanics rely heavily on everyone following the honor system, and even more so on everyone following all the many… many rules…
…. However. I think, if I knew how to code, I could construct a discord bot which could house all the commands (like potentially /build base or /upgrade base, both of which are mechanics I thought out in my notes) and could, ideally, house all the player information, like all the items they’ve gathered and where all their items are stored (yes there would be an inventory and storage mechanic, because how else could you steal things <3)
But.. that’s all.. very complicated. And I would likely need the help of someone with real coding experience abshahdh
Basically, the players move around on a board of chunks. Every 5 minutes, you can move to another chunk or perform an action within the chunk you’re on. Without a bot, players would get to move every time the world clock hits an interval of 5 minutes (1:00, 1:05, 1:10, etc.), this, I believe would keep progress fair for all players. And role play can happen in the wait time if two players exist in the same chunk.
So. Actions would legit include stuff like mining (which comes with a randomized drop of loot, getting rarer materials the deeper you go), building a base, building a SECRET base (yes I’m going insane), tunneling (rp purposes sorta), farming (can’t figure out a mechanic for this so it’s also rp purposes), stealing (which is such a complicated mechanic, relies on chance for success that depends on how upgraded the base they’re stealing from is), brewing potions, and monster hunting (also with a random loot drop) (and yes there would be a day and night cycle, changing every 30 minutes) (and yes there would be a 1 percent chance to be killed by mobs every time you go mob hunting <3)
And moderators would probably have to be present? If this happens without a bot? To check for foul play typa stuff. I was actually envisioning a fun little world where each chunk gets art to depict its landscape, and then every session, if the players can, the art can be updated to depict a base that was built there ^^ but none of that is really necessary
…. If … anyone is interested in this and could potentially code a bot um.. I would kinda be incredibly stoked to work on a project like this, I have more than enough ideas XD Fank you for reading pahaaaa
Ok I may only be slightly unwell bc I’m devising an role playing “game”,,, that would involve a board and a timer and rules n such,, where people could rp a life series. And I have some details brewing and I’m. Only kinda excited bc everything is making sense so far

I wanted to write a sequel to this:
~~~~~~~~~~~~
“You ready, Purp?”
“Yup!”
Purple handed an iron pickaxe to Yellow and nodded with a smile.
“That lush cave was an iron gold mine, huh?” he asked.
“Maybe we’ll find some gold too, huh?” Yellow said with a laugh, and the two set off down the path, following the Redstone torches.
“Yeah, maybe!” Purple said. “That’d be nice. I kinda got carried away trading with the Piglins last time, huh?”
“Yeah, but it was alright,” Yellow said. “They’re the reason we have so many health potions.”
“I remember the first time I traded with them,” Purple said. “It was actually an accident. I dropped some gold and was about to pick it up when a Piglin grabbed it and threw me a Ghast tear. I was kinda skeptical, but threw another bar, and they gave me a potion of regeneration. I wound up using that first after a Ghast showed up.”
“Yikes,” Yellow muttered, shaking his head.
“Ah, I’m fine,” Purple said, waving a hand. “Wasn’t the first time I got blasted by a Ghast, and it won’t be the last.”
Yellow scoffed and lightly punched Purple’s shoulder.
“Okay, heh, I didn’t do that on purpose,” Purple laughed.
“I hope not,” Yellow chuckled.
Purple suddenly gasped, then pushed Yellow aside and jumped back just in time to avoid an arrow. Then they looked around quickly, spotting the skeleton under an nearby tree.
Yellow immediately pulled out his bow and shot an arrow, striking and drawing the skeleton’s attention, giving Purple a chance to run up from behind and swing his diamond sword.
“That was close,” Yellow huffed. “You okay?”
“Yeah, it didn’t get me,” Purple said. “Good shot!”
“You saw it first,” Yellow said. “Thanks!”
Purple shrugged and quickly looked away.
“Yeah, no problem…” he mumbled. “Glad you’re alright!”
“I’m glad you’re alright,” Yellow said. “I thought it shot you.”
“Oh, well…” Purple said, “like you said, it’s good we have the healing potions.”
“Yup!”
“S-so…you wanna go in right now or take a break?” Purple asked.
“Mmm…let’s head on in,” Yellow said. “We’ll get a good start and then take a break.”
“Okay.”
The two Sticks carefully made their way inside the cave, putting a couple more torches down until they got to the strings of glow fruit.
“You think a Creeper blew up?” Purple asked with a frown. “I thought there were more torches than this.”
“Yeah, that could’ve happened,” Yellow agreed. “But we’ve got enough. We’ll pick up coal if we see it though.”
Purple nodded, then pulled out his pickaxe and headed for a cluster of iron. Yellow pulled the strings of glow fruit out of the way.
“Oh, thanks!” Purple said with a grateful smile. Yellow nodded and smiled back, causing Purple to duck his head quickly and get back to work. “I wonder if there’s a geode here too.”
“We could look once we get all the iron,” Yellow said. “You never know.”
Purple finished mining and pulled out cobblestone to fill up the pit he’d made.
“I might make another spyglass if we find some more amethyst,” Purple said.
“They’re neat, huh?” Yellow asked.
“Yup!” Purple said. “They’re good for spotting Mobs, but it’s also nice to look at scenery with them.”
“Did you use the amethyst I gave you to make one?” Yellow asked. “We found a lot of it.”
“Oh, uh…I actually, umm…” Purple stammered. “I uh…not yet. I…forgot.”
“That’s alright,” Yellow said. “Stuff gets busy.”
They headed further into the cave, mining more iron and some lapis along the way, until they eventually spotted the wooden walkways that lead through the abandoned mine shafts.
“What do you think?” Yellow asked. “Probably still a bad idea to try and navigate those.”
“Yeah,” Purple agreed. “We could use some extra string if there are spider webs, but is it worth it?”
“It’d be difficult even with the others to help us fight,” Yellow said, crossing his arms. “Don’t see any geodes around here either, so…”
The two whirled upon hearing the groan of a zombie. Purple pulled out his sword just as the zombie slammed into him.
“Purple!” Yellow exclaimed, eyes widening in alarm as Purple slipped over the edge of the walkway.
Yellow furiously swung his sword at the zombie, killing it in three blows before it could attack him.
He glanced around for other zombies, then ran to the edge of the walkway and looked down frantically.
“Purple!” he yelled.
“I’m okay!” Purple called up. “Sorry! Just got the wind knocked out of me! I landed on another walkway.”
“Are you hurt?” Yellow called, slumping in relief.
“Don’t think so,” Purple responded. “I’m coming up!”
Yellow stepped back as Purple flew up and lighted on the walkway.
“Glad I brought my Elytra,” Purple sighed, then winced and lifted his left foot. “I’m also glad I didn’t have to climb back up.”
Yellow hugged Purple tightly around the neck.
“Hey, I’m alright!” Purple exclaimed, slipping his arms around Yellow and patting his back. “Didn’t mean to scare you though. I’m sorry.”
“It’s not your fault,” Yellow said, scooping Purple up and leaving the walkway behind. “It was that darn zombie.”
“You got him though,” Purple said.
Yellow carefully climbed out of the cave, following the Redstone torches and avoiding any puddles.
Once they made it outside, Yellow gently set Purple down and checked his ankle.
“I think a potion will fix it,” he said, pulling out a bottle and giving it to Purple. “But I’m still carrying you back.”
Purple choked a bit, coughing when Yellow patted his back.
“Oh, uh…that’s ok! I’ll be able to walk,” he insisted. “But thank you.”
“I want to,” Yellow urged. “It’s okay, really.”
Purple put the empty bottle away and quickly looked down.
“Aren’t you tired though? You had to carry me out of there.”
“I’m not that tired,” Yellow said, putting an arm around Purple’s shoulders. “Ready?”
“Could…could we just…sit here for a bit?” Purple asked quietly. “I’ll be able to walk.”
Yellow hesitated, then nodded and sat down.
“It’s really nice here,” Purple said, leaning back and gazing at the sky.
“Yeah,” Yellow agreed. “It is.”
“I think there’s a meadow near here,” Purple said. “I’ve only been once though. But it’s got a lot of sunflowers, daisies, tulips and cornflower.”
“We should go sometime,” Yellow said. “It sounds nice.”
“Y-yeah!” Purple said.
He pulled something from his inventory and showed it to Yellow.
“What’s that?” Yellow asked curiously.
“It’s the amethyst you gave me,” Purple said. “I know we got enough amethyst that day to craft with it, but I…I wanted to keep this one.”
“Oh…really?” Yellow asked.
“Yeah,” Purple said, holding the amethyst tightly. “We all got off on the wrong foot because of me. I haven’t been the best person…and some days I…I don’t know if I deserve any of this…so…it meant a lot.”
Yellow pulled Purple into a tight hug.
“It’s alright now,” Yellow murmured. “I thought you might’ve been feeling kinda down that day…so I’m glad it helped.”
Purple put his arms around Yellow and hugged him tightly.
“It…it did,” he said quietly. “Thank you.”
“How about we go picking flowers tomorrow?” Yellow asked.
“Y-you want to?” Purple asked brightly, and Yellow nodded. “O-okay! Great! Yeah…tomorrow’s good. All I did today was get tackled by a zombie, but I’m exhausted.”
“So am I,” Yellow laughed, standing and helping Purple up. “You did a lot of mining, though. I’m not surprised you’re beat.”
“We both did, huh?” Purple said.
“Yup,” Yellow said. “Let’s get home. Wonder if they’ve started without us.”
“We’d better hurry then!” Purple exclaimed. “Last one there’s a rotten egg!”
They grinned at each other, then took off down the path towards home.
Hey!! I love your writing. Can you do a Yandere! Ranboo, Tommy , and tubbo. where they are all in love with the reader and they kidnapped her to ‘keep her safe’ and the reader doesn’t know at first, then she slow realized they are obsessed with her. she like them back but she also want to live her life, so she tries to make agreement? You don’t have to if you don’t want to.
Tumblr media
The Ranboo gif is just beautiful and I love it. Lemme see what I can do for ya! I wrote a bullet point Platonic fic if that's fine? I'm still worried about writing the minors in romantic relationships, even if it's the characters.
Sorry, it took so long... My burnout got really bad and I refused to even write basic stuff. But I'm back now! Well. Mostly.
Safe Behind Glass (Yandere!Plat!C!Bench Trio x GN!Reader)
You were a little groggier than normal when you awoke, but it was nothing to alarm you immediately.
Just simply brushing it off as you weren't feeling the best that day, you rolled over to fall back to sleep, but quickly noticed something wrong.
It didn't feel... Right?
The blankets... The mattress... The pillow... They weren't yours...
You peeled your eyes open and your expression went blank with fear.
The room was beautiful mind you.
But it wasn't yours either.
You were laying on a fluffy (f/c) canopy bed, surrounded by quartz walls that were dimly lit soul lanterns that prevented you from being completely swallowed by darkness.
Slowly dragging yourself off the bed, you heard a metal 'clunk' that hit the cold quartz flooring below you.
Turning your head to face downwards, you saw that a decently thick metal chain was cuffed to your ankle.
Somehow, your panic became worse as you immediately grabbed onto it and started to yank on the solid metal, but it refused to budge.
You had no idea how many minutes or hours you spent in that room. Reaching at the iron door desperately, yanking at the chain around your ankle that kept you from reaching the exit, searching the blue lanterns for anything...
But then, the white metallic door slowly swung open, revealing Ranboo, Tubbo and Tommy.
You weren't that close to them, save for a couple interactions here and there, but hey, they came to save you! That didn't matter in the slightest!
You almost cried upon seeing them and moved to walk over, but the chain stopped you from reaching them, and you noticed that they weren't moving to help you.
"You're awake!" Tubbo chirped softly, his tan goat ears wiggling with joy, "I'm glad the potion didn't stick for too long... You could've wound up starving if you stayed asleep."
Horror slowly began to set into your heart as Ranboo nodded and walked over to the dark oak table in the corner of the room and set down a basket of food.
"Ran...Boo...?" You whispered, watching as the monochrome male turned and curiously tilted his head in your direction, "Why... Am I here?"
Instead, Tommy stepped in front of you with a bright cheesy smile, the same one that resembled when he would find a new disc or start a new adventure, "For your safety, (N/n)!"
"Safety?" You choked out softly, Ranboo quickly guiding you to sit in the oak chair, "But... I'm one of the richest people on the server... I have god armour... Nothing could kill m-"
"Techno and Dream can." Tubbo interrupted sharply, halting you mid-sentence.
Right... That masked man... Or whatever he was... He was extremely dangerous, as well as Techno. They could likely pierce your netherite chest plate without even flinching at the number of thorns you had enchanted.
"We don't want anyone to bring you any harm... There's no problem with that, right, (Y/n)?" Ranboo smiled, flashing his sharpened teeth unthreateningly.
No... You wanted to say, but you wanted freedom! You wanted to expand your house to the size of a mansion! You wanted to bicker with Quackity about the stupidest of things! You wanted to get building advice from Phil!
Not be locked away because your safety was a tiny bit compromised!
"Tommy... Tubbo... Ranboo... Please, I'm not going to just stay locked away because I-"
"You'll see things our way soon... Eat up, get your rest." Tubbo smiled and gave you a hug, ignoring how you froze suddenly, before turning and skipping out of the room with the taller two following behind him.
Despite... How screwed up the three were with their methods of making you be their friend, it was working...
They were actually incredibly friendly and funny. It made life in capture bearable! Even though you were incredibly snappy and cruel to them in the beginning, they never held it against you.
Although... Despite their kindness and your quickly blooming friendship, you still had a craving to go outside. Even if what the three told you about everyone forgetting you existed was true.
"You look sad, (N/n)..." Tubbo murmured softly, watching you stare off into the blank quartz wall, "Are you okay?"
Tommy straightened up from his handmade scribble of a map, turning his head towards you in confusion. Ranboo stopped writing mid-word likely and looked in your direction as well.
They never liked it when you were upset.
You pursed your lips silently for a moment, clearly unsettling the males around you, "I just... Haven't been feeling too great... Both mentally and physically I mean... I need sunlight..."
"Yeah... I was reading about that earlier..." Ranboo hummed softly, adjusting his crown as he looked up at the ceiling, "But the issue is..."
"My safety... Yes, I know. What if, I wear my full netherite armour and keep a totem AND a Rapple on me? And also not leave your sides?" You bargained nervously.
That hadn't worked before. But then again, You weren't as close to them before...
The silence that fell upon the room was unsettling and caused your heart to race quickly. If they didn't like what you said, you would be alone for a few straight days... You didn't like it...
"Okay."
What.
That worked?
You just had to ask?!
You watched as Tubbo stood up and pulled the small ender chest from his pocket and set it on the ground, causing it to grow to normal size.
Standing aside, he made a gesture for you to open it and get your stuff.
Hesitantly, You walked over and kneeled down in front of the ender chest. Looking to Tubbo and the others for confirmation, you slowly opened it once they nodded.
Carefully, you began pulling out your armour but paused seeing the lack of golden apples and totems.
Right... Before you had gotten kidnapped by the group, you had used a totem when you fell into the L'Manhole where L'Manberg once was.
That what caused them to kidnap you...
"I-I used... My totem... And Fundy stole my Rapple..." You murmured hesitantly, feeling ready to cry.
Your only chance to escape and you couldn't grab it...
"Hey! Hey! Don't cry! Here!" Ranboo eagerly held the two golden items out towards you at the first sight of tears gathering under your eyes.
"What...?"
"(Y/n)! We want you to be happy! If being outside, even with god armour, rapples and totems, makes you happy, then damn well we're bringing you outside!" Tommy grinned.
After a few tears and lots of hugs, Tubbo helped you hop into your armour while Ranboo unlocked the chain cuff from around your ankle. Tommy had left, leaving the door open for once, going to scout the area for any dangerous mobs.
"Ready?" Ranboo smiled, linking one of his arms with yours, the one that you held the totem in to be more specific. Tubbo happily linked his arm with the other one.
You could only nod, your voice caught in your throat as they began to walk you out the door, Ranboo had to duck down a lot, before leading you to the quartz stairway.
Once up the stairs, Tubbo pressed in a code to the iron door and it slid open quickly, causing you to flinch and pinch your eyes shut at the bright painful light of the sun.
It took about twenty minutes of trying to adjust to the sunlight with the two males encouraging you before you were able to look around.
It was everything you had missed...
The sunlight...
The trees...
God, it was perfect...
Tommy eventually came out of the tree line and sat down beside you as you took it all in...
Months, you were down there. And sure, they gave you plenty of decorations to prevent you from experiencing sensory deprivation, nothing could ever compare to the beauty of the outside world.
A voice cut through the air -calling for someone or something named Fran?- and you almost didn't recognize it. But then the owner came out of the trees, almost a similar direction that Tommy came from earlier.
Sam? He looked so... Different now...
The creeper hybrid slowly lowered his gas mask to show his mouth dropped in shock, "(Y/n)...? You're alive...?"
Tommy, Tubbo and Ranboo were freaking out, trying to bring you back into the bunker, as they called it, but you weren't budging. You hadn't seen another being in ages... And while you did platonically love the three boys, you enjoyed hearing a new voice.
"You... Remember me? But... Tubbo you said-" You frowned at the goat hybrid as they stopped suddenly, realizing that you weren't moving.
"You three... Kept them locked away... For almost an entire year?" Sam's voice was getting a little bit scary now, but it wasn't directed at you, instead, at your best friends...
"Sam! It was to protect them! Please!" Ranboo tried, but he wasn't making it better.
"You made Quackity believe they ran away... Made Philza wake up every morning and walk through the SMP for any signs of them... Gave Puffy false information on where you have last seen them... lied to everyone... Only to be the reason that they were gone." Sam growled out, gripping his trident, "Then you proceeded to make them think we all forgot about them..."
"S-Sam... You've got this all wrong big man..." Tubbo tried next...
The warden wasn't listening as he pointed his trident at them, his communicator in his other hand next to his mouth, then he started speaking, causing his voice to come out of Ranboo's, Tubbo's and Tommy's pockets. He was speaking on the public channel.
"Tommy Innit, Tubbo Underscore, Ranboo Beloved... You are being placed in the prison, Pandora's Vault, for keeping (Y/n) (L/n) imprisoned in a bunker and lying about their whereabouts."
It felt like someone splashed you with cold water...
