You remember he kissed you with such passion not even a few hours later. You hate to admit, he looks pretty even now. Standing at your doorstep, red hair clinging to his face. Make up slightly smeared because of the water. Ciaran looked beautiful, even if messy and wet. It made your blood boil. You wanted to rip his hair out, punch him and then curl into a ball and cry your eyes out. Instead you kept leaning against the door frame, the scent of rain calming you down. You didn’t say anything to him, and he didn’t to you. He knew that you found out, and you knew his only regret right now was that he didn’t hide well enough.

The more you look at him, the more sick you feel. You waited for him to come back though, so you could spit on his face and throw him out of your apartment. You didn’t even bother with a suitcase, a trash bag fitted his personality more. “I have nothing to say to you Ciaran, take your shit and get lost.” Your voice was cold, monotonous but it made him shudder. You threw the bag into the closest puddle and finally slammed the door in his fucking face. There was something about you, Ciaran couldn’t put his finger on it. He doesn’t know why you are so attractive to him. Your eyes are cold, dead just like your expression that you wear. It’s like making eye contact with a corpse. Despite your very dead expression, you are quite attractive. Beautiful. It made his heart flutter, so it was only natural that he tried to get close to you. With time he got to see more of you, your little traits. Likes and dislikes. What you listen to, and what you eat.

The best part was when your stoic expression was replaced with a smile. He lived for those moments, but then it got boring. Can you even blame him? It all felt lukewarm. He needed that excitement back, and you couldn’t give him that. That is, he thought you couldn’t. But he was wrong. Ciaran wouldn’t admit it of course, it would hurt his pride. He was too proud, and you were just difficult and used.

He couldn’t admit that after just a week his body ached for your touch, scent. He wanted to see you smile again, hear you speak, touch you.

Every single time he tried to crawl back to you, you welcomed him with an ice cold stare and blank face. After God knows how many times he appeared in front of your house, you didn’t even bother opening the door and soon enough you moved away.

How could you? Leaving him wailing in the dirt in front of the place both of you called home. You are so cruel, didn’t you say people deserve a second chance?

Maybe he just needed to try harder.

The house breathed with you, calm and unbothered. The air felt heavy still and moist, in other words it stank in here quite badly. Slightly rotten food with the mix of your sweat made you gag. You laid still in your bed, eyes tired, achy and dry from the lack of sleep. You feel like you are going to suffocate in here. You listen to the melody of the forest surrounding your house, the gentle sway of the trees and cicadas. It’s dark, why were you up again? Your eyes start to wander around the room trying to adjust to the soft light of the moon. It’s dark, you see your furniture and that pile of clothes that looks a lot like a human now that you stare at it.

You turn on the light, it blinds you and you close your eyes and hiss in pain. When you open them again you see the same pile of dirty clothes. It looks normal, like a pile of unwashed clothes would. You thought it was.. nevermind, brain tends to imagine weird shapes when you can’t see shit. That’s what it was, you sigh as you get up. The air feels stuffy.

 If it wasn’t for the crippling anxiety you would open the window, you can’t see outside but it can see you. That makes you worry.

You dragged your heavy feet to the kitchen to grab something to eat even though there is not much you can choose from. You need to go shopping. Your stomach recoils at that thought. Ciaran just waits for you to leave. He is probably not very happy that you have ignored him as much as you did. His gifts lay unopened at your front door, slowly piling up. The sweet scent of rotting meat emitting from them. Just thinking about it makes you weak in the stomach. The kitchen is dark, after the bedroom incident you didn’t bother even turning on the light. Your poor eyes. Your shaky hands search for the least dirty cup so you can at least drink some water.

After your break up, Ciaran hasn’t left you alone. Blocking him didn’t help, the police didn’t help. He made sure you were alone, with no one to help you. Your ex successfully tracked you every single time, that's why you are stuck at home. Looking and smelling like shit. It has been a week without him trying to contact you but you aren’t sure he finally moved on. You will sneak out of the house, leave everything and just escape this madness. You will be free. There is a warm breath on your neck.

The glass shattered against the wooden floor. “Did you miss me?” he rasped out. He smelled like forest. His voice goes through your ears, making them ring. You didn’t respond, praying that your brain is imagining things. It surely is, he imagines how he nuzzles into the crook of your neck and his hands slowly wander around your body.

You feel weak in your knees, hands gripping the sink in an attempt to get some stability. Ciarans cold hands painfully dig into your stomach. You feel like you are going to puke.

Then everything stops. You turn around and you are greeted with the sight of your kitchen. No Ciaran.

You raise your shirt, no marks.

You were going crazy or the lack of sleep is really getting into you. Forget the water or food, you are going to sleep. Ciaran is not here, you are safe and you need sleep. Badly. The floorboards creak against your weight, the trip to your room. It’s like being like a kid again, and you feel like someone is chasing you so you run up to your room to turn the light on and scare the evil away. The thought of it makes you chuckle. Something feels wrong though, you look at your front door. It’s open.

Fuck the sneaking, you are ready to run to your room when someone grabs you. Their hands are sticky, warm. The metallic and sweet rotting smell fills the room. “Bunny, bunny calm down. It’s okay, I am here finally.” “Ciaran, Ciaran please…” you choke out as he squeezes your frail body. “Ahh how I missed that voice of yours.” he moaned into your ear and hugged you tighter. You want to cry, you want to throw up but you can’t give him the satisfaction of that. You can show him any basic human emotion, that’s what he wants.

 He kissed your neck, nipping at some places. Like he used to, when you two were together.

“You missed me too, right bunny? you missed my voice?” “Ciaran leave my house.” “But baby why? We are finally together again.” He let go of you. Your body ached, head pounding and all of your senses screaming to run.

“Aren’t you happy? Please bunny, smile for me like you used to.” His hands grabbed your face, fingers jamming into your mouth forcing it to open. It hurts, you can taste the blood coating his hands. He forces you to smile and you stop yourself from actually throwing up. Your thoughts are muddy, body weak. You claw at his hands but he grips you together. Nails digging into your gums, you gag. Ciaran beams at you, happy. Smiling widely, just like he used to.

“Now, was that so hard?” he hums.

You try to protest, but you are unable to speak. You are so tired, so weak. He took notice of that. Kissing your forehead.

“Oh my poor baby, you are exhausted waiting for me right? Don’t worry, I will help you.”

The last thing you remember is pain, the amazement on how strong his head is and a small thought that no matter how far you run. Your loving ex will find you.

Octavia's and Blitzø's potential relationship development

I believe that the show, despite Octavia openly hating Blitzø, gives us some hints that they have much more in common than it seems. I’ve noticed a couple of moments where Blitzø and Octavia are… pretty much in sync, if that makes sense.

Here are those moments I’ve noticed… maybe stretched in some places, but! Hear me out!

1. Here, they don’t hear each other, but both are repulsed by Stolas’s obnoxious language and express the same reaction. It’s funny that Stolas is the one calling them out.

2. They also share a distaste for Stolas’s behavior throughout the episode, albeit in slightly different ways. In fact, this serves as a great demonstration of how deaf and blind Stolas is to obvious social cues at the beginning of the series—he doesn’t stop even when directly asked to do so on multiple occasions.

Blitzø is disgusted by Stolas’s awkward, overly sexual advances and demeaning language towards him and his work.

Octavia is taken aback by essentially the same. However, she blames both of them, understandably failing to recognize that Blitzø is just as uncomfortable as she is. From her perspective, Blitzø is a homewrecker who contributed to destroying her parents' marriage.

3. They share the hate for the same clown!

4. They seem to have similar tastes in music! The song My World Is Burning Down Around Me, which Octavia plays to tune out Stella’s screaming, is also heard in Blitzø’s van when he comes to pick up Loona in the Queen Bee episode, although it’s only instrumental. Octavia turns on the song, and for a while, we can hear the lyrics before it fades into the background as the scene shifts to Stella yelling at Stolas and later to Stolas’s conversation with Octavia. S1EP2, Loo Loo Land, 2:52 - 3:50

The song’s instrumental version can be heard when Blitzø’s van arrives, and the background noise at Queen Bee’s club is different, so there’s no chance for misinterpretation. It is the music Blitzø’s was listening to. S1EP8, Queen Bee, 8:20 - 9:14

5. Haha, they freak out in the same way in the Seeing Stars episode! I know it’s probably just a stylistic choice to transition from Octavia’s initial experience with LA to Blitzø having to contact Stolas and explain what happened. However, I might be indulging in a bit of wishful thinking, suggesting that this similarity in their stress responses could have some deeper meaning.

So-o... What am I trying to say with all these points I've made?

Like the kind of delulu who yells, "Ghostfuckers, save us!" (we know Viv, we know how trying to put our hopes up ends, haha), I draw a complete unhinged card and I am going to make a very bold claim:

I think that once Stolas and Blitzø finally get their shit and themselves back together, and Octavia realizes there’s much more to the story than, “Oh, it’s just horny dad cheated on my mum with a red lizard dickhead and my dad ruined my family,” Octavia could actually bond with Blitzø quite nicely, and he would make a good second dad to her! Well, don’t get me wrong. She might never want to take it to that level. Also, we don’t know how things will turn out, nor do we know her relationship with her mum, Stella.

But I do believe that their parallels were thrown in for a reason. Despite the circumstances, they can, and maybe will, be on much better terms than they currently are.

Go on, call me delusional and leave me be in my complete denial corner. <3 I admit I do tend to forget the current state of the Stolitz relationship in the series, as in my world, where I’m prioritizing my time working on that fic, they are finally together. I am bitter-sweetly excited that @tealvenetianmask and I are slowly but surely getting close to finishing it. :)

While it's not likely, I like to believe Astra is freaking dumb so Zayne just can't say the words "I love you" specifically, but if MC asks:"Do you love me?" He can answer things like:"Yes", "You know I do", "More than you can possibly imagine", "More than I have ever loved anyone else", "How could I not?", "More than everything" or even just nod with a little discreet smile and the list goes on. So what we always thought it was a curse, it's actually a blessing because Zayne has to come up with ways to dodge the curse, which gives him a lot of possibilities to creatively convey the message without using this three words(which only makes him closer to the regency bridgerton man because they always say they love the girl with stuff more romantic than "just a simple I love you" like "my heart calls your name" so that makes his confessions longer and the best out of all). Ig Snowy Serenity kinda confirms this when he goes "I need you, it's just not the kind of need you think it is" to say he is in love with her(he also mentions MC is the person he likes, using like and need as a replacement for the word love) and if you choose to give him a soft kiss he says "that means you also need me, right?" (Wasn't that obvious already, man? It made me kinda confused because our relationship with him seemed established enough so he wouldn't have to ask that so maybe it isn't as established as we thought or either he just wanted confirmation)(but if you chose deep kiss it screams established relationship more). Anyways, I'm not saying I like Astra (I hate him as much as the next person) because the curse also involves Zayne losing MC in every universe but the part of not being able to say "I love you" is not that bad (if what I said it's true but I believe it is 'cause being delulu is the solulu)

The fact that Luci fell from the sky himself is extraordinary. He ripped off his own wings. I LOVE IT. He is as delulu as angels are, but in a different way, because he sees pain and is able to face it.

But I think what impressed me the most was his relationship with the Seraphs. I thought they would act like brats and hate each others, and guess what, they do behave like a spoiled little brats, but in love with their older brother. So. Sweet. I'm so freaking biased about Michael and I cried like an idiot. They loved Luci. Luci loved them. In fact, the whole scene at the end, maybe it's my imagination, but Luci sounded like he wanted Michael to stay there with him instead of living an illusion in heaven. He could gouge out his eye as punishment, but he couldn't hurt him when he ordered other angels to die. In fact, he explained to him as if he were a younger brother… Aghhh! My heart! There is so much love and suffering between them. Of course, Michael, I'd gouge out your other eye for dragons, but ughhh

Oof... Well, first things first, everyone has different preferences & BL is not my cup of tea. Fujos are also a toxic breed so I have no interest in engaging with them either.

In regards to zigzag (a lovely nickname given to this ship by many 🤪)... I find Get0 unappealing in general & am mostly neutral to his character. I don't get why he's so popular, lol? I personally find it almost offensive that ppl ship him with someone as handsome as Gojo. 💀

They are canonically best friends & nothing more (reiterated time & again by Gege & his affiliates). Their views didn't align in the end, hence they parted ways & became enemies. Despite this, Gojo still saw him as his best friend, a huge part of his "springtime of youth," & regretted not being able to help him back then. Get0 was also the cause for Gojo's identity crisis about being the strongest & was jealous of Gojo's strength, but certain ppl conveniently forget that 😒.

Zigzag would've been just another ship I don't pay attention to. Thank their insane fandom, especially the Get0 stans, for being the major cause of my intense dislike for this ship, however. Their toxicity towards other shippers (esp my fandom), misinformation, & misinterpretations of Gojo's & Get0's characters have solidified this ship as a MAJOR NOTP for me. I can't stand it with every fiber of my being. 😬

This meme encompasses that:

They act like they're canon when they're not. There's literally NO canon evidence to support their ship. Everything they claim as evidence has been debunked & has a shounen-esque explanation for it. They choose to ignore it, however, & it doesn't help that big accounts on Twitter, Tik Tok & other platforms use zigzag for clout & spread lies 🙄. All they really have are the three M's: mistranslations, misinformation, & misinterpretations 💀.

They can ship in their own lane but these freaks go out of their way to harrass others, even fanartists of other Gojo ships & neutral translators. Then they go & victimize themselves when they get called out 🙄. They like to act innocent & blame others but everyone knows it's always them who start things. It's no wonder they've made enemies of every corner of the JJK fandom. They may have the numbers but they're surely in the same boat as the rest of us shippers 🤷‍♀️. We're all in Delulu Land.

They hate Utahime for no reason other than that she's shipped with Gojo. You might not believe the insane things I've seen them say about her. Despite her being a minor side character, & her only screentime has been to help others, esp Gojo, they hate on her as if she was the main villain. Heck, not even Sukuna gets this much hate from them 💀. They spite-ship her with her bestie Shoko or even that bum Kusakabe just to "get her out of the way" of their mid ship but they don't actually care for either ship. They even drag Gojo thru the mud when hating on GojoHime, mischaracterizing him by saying things like he hates women 💀. They hate on GojoHime as if it was the worst ship anyone could have in JJK.

They cannot stand how popular GojoHime is, especially in Japan (according to Pixiv, they're the most popular M/F ship & #6 overall in JJK 👀).

They also have the audacity to claim they care more about Utahime than us GojoHime fans do. They say we mischaracterize her & how dare we ship her with a man she hates? Like?? Where is their Utahime content, like fanart, headcanons & theories? When do they ever talk about her unless it's to hate on her & try to discredit our ship? I've heard they even villainize her in their zigzag fics, make her OOC 💀. But they understand her better? 🙄

It really comes to show that they genuinely see Utahime as a threat 🤣. But why, tho, if they claim that GojoHime has nothing to stand on? That it doesn't make sense? 👀 Why are they so insecure if they're "so canon"?

They also feminize Get0 & have made some very disturbing posts, yet they hate on female characters? Those that "get in the way" of their non-canon mlm ships? Even Gojo self-shippers hate on Utahime but are okay with Get0? 🙄 I know this word gets thrown around a lot but these ppl are misogynists...

Zigzags should go read actual BL instead of self-queerbaiting with a battle shounen manga 💀. They're as delusional as Naruto & Sasuke shippers (and those 2 had at least a better written dynamic than Gojo & Get0 💀. Even Gojo & Sukuna had a more interesting dynamic than them imo 🤣).

I honestly hate the phrase "you have it in the 4D, it just has to reflect in the 3D" the implication of there being any separation between 4D and 3D honestly bugs me, it feels like it just prolongs the waiting. Like there is something to achieve in the 3D. A lag that will require you to keep *persisting* in the 4D until the 3D finally decides: "oh well now I will reflect it" when you probably don't even want it anymore lmao. As if the 3D had any sort of free will that allows it to catch up until you somehow "deserve it" because you've "impregnated" your 4D successfully.

To me, this approach only creates more frustration and desperation. Instead I like to realize that the images I see through my human eye are all illusory. Everything is an illusion. There is no separation between my 3D and my 4D, it all is imagination. How can you separate imagination? Why do we choose to create a division?

Using the mirror analogy everyone loves, when you're infront of a mirror wearing a hat, you don't try to take the hat off the reflection, you have to take it off yourself and then it is reflected. Is the reflection instant or is there any lag? You take it off your head and then wait until the mirror finally decides to reflect it? Do you beg? "Hey mirror, I have taken my hat off, can you reflect it?" Do you ask? "I took my hat off 2 years ago, but my miror is still the same. I kept my hat off as an act of persistance but still nothing changes." NO. It's instant. You take it off, you KNOW it is off and you observe it in that freaking mirror, you see it is off.

I.e. if I choose to imagine a red dress in my closet. I don't need to go and check if there is a red dress in my closet, and then call my imagination "fake" because apparently there is no such dress. I realize I observed it, therefore THERE IS a red dress in my closet. I don't need to "wait" for the dress to be in the 3D, I'd be foolish to think that some concept I decided to call "3D" needs to prove me and VALIDATE ME (God??? Supposedly). That dress sure as hell is in my closet, I am seeing it. I am experiencing it. I am identifying with the belief that there is a red dress in my closet, not because I am delulu or some shit, but because I am literally observing it. It is there. No "3D" bitch can tell me otherwise. What even is the 3D? In all seriousness.

The real delusion would be thinking that 3D really is something other that just imagination, images generated by your mind, just a dream you're walking through. A playground. A game. A movie. And you are just the creator that decided to disguise as a character, to experience you creations.

Anyways... seriously y'all. I started publicly sharing B/V stuff in March. I'm just a girly from Boston who is obsessed with ice dance and the athletic, emotional moments it creates. I also enjoy its connection to art. Their 2023 FD reminds me so much of the above painting. I like to post comparisons and Kiki with the girls. Ice dance slays so hard bc I've never seen anything like it before! I really earnestly just enjoy all of the mechanics.

The dedication, the performance. Y'all caught me vicariously living, babes! We all wish we could've been something like a ballerina or an ice skater. Seeing Bella skate, inspires me to do the things that little me dreamed of. Still! Which I enjoy just as equally. Because everyone seems so grumpy all the time and I love having something to cheer for and believe in. I've competed for 2 bike races since following Bella. Because I'm rooting for someone who does cool stuff and think, wait I can do cool stuff too. And the duo for sure inspires me to paint and write and listen to good music and all that other important stuff. Like a good tv show or my favorite book would.

But this is my crutch, y'all. These are very real people. Celebrity and influencer culture makes us depersonalize the figures sharing their lives. I can def see how I get lost in the delulu of their skating story, and Bella's underdog lore (which is mainly why I'm here y'all). I know it's still a risk that skaters can see this post, but I just wanna yap to no one about how weird the modern world is. And I think Tumblr is probably the most private place out of all socials to yap anyways.

So, my point. I feel weird! I feel so weird making edits and talking about how inspired I am by these strangers, especially when the inspiring strangers can see😭. Bella follows my insta account (as well as a bunch of others) bc she's a cool and connective girl broooo like Bella pls don't unfollow girly I'm just saying I don't wanna freak anyone out 😭🫶. Cause I couldn't imagine all these people being so focused on my life and what I do, it might stress me out bad yall.

I know I'm delulu, but more so I'm sensitive. That's why I like this sport. And I like to chit chat!!! Combined with this hyper digital, often fantasy focused world we live in (movies, tv, sports, books) I don't want to be confused with some crazy person who can't decipher boundaries bc I run an active stan account. And no hate to my fellow Stan accounts, this scenario feels unique bc ice skating fan accounts have audiences that often include people in the skater's communities or families, if not the skater themselves. It's not like I'm posting about Taylor Swift who won't see it. Girl, my T-swift is 5'ft tall and can jump 6ft high in the air. Her Eras Tour starts in Lake Placid this July😭. And you bet your ass I need to talk about it!

But I also gotta remind myself that this isn't my favorite TV show but people's real lives. Like fr. Sometimes the competition is so good you'd think it was scripted, y'all. God, like let me keep yapping forever huh?

Anyways, I am so glad I get to connect with my favorite athlete, as I'm sure her other fans appreciate it too. She's honest and open to chat for a reason, it keeps us feeling like we are on the road to the Olympics with her. I'm gunna keep posting cause I love the idea of turning all of booktok on her lore and getting a million people to root for them so I can see them at freaking SKAM 🤨. The conversation between influencer and audience is just hella interesting. And I hope I'm towing the line okay!

Raph probably gonna be like "Oh no- oh no-" it literally just becomes parent mode. Like if any of his bros were sick he would always be the one to take care of them (especially when they were younger). He's doing all the basic precautions, like making you intake liquids and take the medicines. As a yan, he'll be more worried and clingy though so expect cuddles and lots of guilt-tripping if you deny anything.

Leo. I cannot with him. He's going to be SO fucking happy that he can take care of you in your ill state often. He'll be cooing and babying you while you're sick- and he won't stop even if you ask him to. He's gonna manipulate but less aggressively as he usually does because he knows he can go too far all at once; considering you probably feel frustrated every time you're sick. But it definitely keeps him happy.

Donnie- man he is gonna freak out every single time (internally). Unlike Leo, who loves the moments you're sick (not like horribly sick obv), Donnie HATES it. He's isolating the area you're in, and disinfecting the nearby space. He'll try to boost your immune system with a multitude of methods. He's doing all the research and ensuring the medications are taken at the right intervals and amounts.

Mikey- he's pretty normal for the taking care of part, but the whole delulu part of him is a lot. He believes the reason you get so ill often is because your "powers" are trying to restore themselves through a process of sickness. So he doesn't fool around when it comes to taking care of you, he'll keep everything in check because he wants to see you in your "full divine form".

Would you be willing to ramble about abnormal psychology

Schizospec ramble incoming in 3, 2, 1..now!!

So abnormal psychology has been a big interest of mine for years now. I think like six or something. It's not something I want to exactly pursue as a career-- I don't think the work of a therapist nor social worker is for me-- but I find it greatly fascinating to research and hear from people who are abnormal. Of course people really like saying that there is no such thing as "normal", but let's be honest most people know what "normal" is, especially if someone in particular deviates from it

Idk. I've always been fascinated and sympathetic towards people with disorders. It's in due part to my own cocktail of disorders, but I generally always find it harmful and annoying to see how widely accepted it is to talk down and demonize those who others deem to be insane or freaks

I've made it clear that I utterly despise the way that people with schizophrenia and other schizospec disorders (I'll define those later) as well as personality disorders in general. The way people will slap them as being wholly evil, unthinking, unfeeling monsters who want to hurt you only is disgusting, especially when I still see that ableist rhetoric spouted by so-called mental health experts or supporters. Yeah mate I'm sure your mental health support where you are only okay with some symptoms of depression, autism, OCD, and ADHD (aka the ones you can sensationalize and make out as cutesy or quirky)(we know damn well you're still going to turn your nose up if a person doesn't shower for weeks or is anything other than a low support person) when you call everyone who is even lightly aloof and ignorant of your needs a psycopathic narcissist. Real great work there

I've always found the way people misuse or appropriate terminology as well fucking obnoxious. Delulu is maddening. "Grippy sock jail" is irritating and makes actual goddamn psych wards out as cutesy places. Neurospicy...I'd rather you just call me insane or psychotic honestly. Neurospicy feels infantalizing

This is all of course a symptom of mental disorders being sensationalized. I'm greatly supportive of people who are more comfortable with their disorders since it's amazing to find a community and support, however it does lead to this sorta Harry Potter house-ification of mental disorders. People who are like "omg autism is like cats and ADHD is like dogs" and that kind of idea, where it boils down the disorders into extremely basic archetypes with zero nuance nor consideration for the other aspects of the disorders

But I'm getting ahead of myself. I should lay the groundwork, especially for what I mainly want to talk about: the ableism around schizospec disorders

To begin, schizophrenia is a disorder that is wayyy more common than you'd think. About 1 and 300 or something IIRC. The symptoms are categorized by positive and negative symptoms: with the positive symptom being psychosis of course

These are the most famous part of schizophrenia, to the point where people will mistake psychosis and generalized psychotic disorders as being schizophrenia entirely. Psychosis by definition is believing something that is not true to be reality. Hallucinations are sensory feelings (see, smell, hear, touch, taste) while delusions are beliefs.

Psychosis can form in a variety of different ways, including but not limited to:

Hearing voices, whether it be a "peanut gallery" type situation where it's just a bunch of them talking and commentating on things, or perhaps a single voice or two that almost seems like their own person

Unshaken beliefs that your friends hate you

Believing oneself to be watched despite no cameras or people around

Someone having ill intentions and potentially trying to hurt you behind the scene, whether physically through poisoning you or is manipulating you

Feeling as though bugs are on (or under) your skin

Flashing lights that nobody else can see

Odd shadows or figures in the corner of your eye that disappear when you look at them

Believing you are sick or have some sort of disease despite others telling you that you're probably fine

Fears about mind readers or people being able to tell what you're thinking/feeling

Believing as though someone who doesn't know you (ex: a famous person) is in love with you

Believing that you yourself are special and that the government is after you for that reason

Trying to say something but it all comes out kinda incoherent and jumbled, where you go on several tangents, change tempo or volume frequently, or generally repeat a lot of words or talking points

Your brain being chaotic and disorganized and constantly spinning around and around and feeling like nothing should make sense but it does

Obviously psychosis isn't inherently linked to schizophrenia. Hallucinations for example can form from a lack of sleep or drug use and delusions are linked to other disorders, but those are some that people think of the most when it comes to schizophrenia.

However, schizophrenia also has negative symptoms, as previously mentioned. In fact, you don't even need to have frequent psychosis, if at all, to be diagnosed with schizophrenia. Here are a list of some negative symptoms of schizophrenia

Flat effect, where a person doesn't express emotions on their face and comes off as generally monotonous and, well, flat. This can further extend to actual feelings of emptiness and emotional numbness

Anhedonia, where a person lacks the ability to feel satisfied or emotionally rewarded after doing a task or generally feel pleasure or happiness

Social withdrawls, where a person will retreat from social situations and isolate themselves

Asociality, where a person doesn't feel an urge nor impulse to talk to people (friends, family, strangers) and form relationships

Avolition, where a person struggles with motivation and feels apathetic

Alogia, where a person cannot properly express their words and generally has a poverty of speech

If you're looking at these symptoms and feeling a pit in your stomach of The Recognition, I will say that these symptoms overlap a lot with other stuff like OCD, depression, autism, ADHD, as well as personality disorders. Still, if your family has a history of schizophrenia, it doesn't hurt to try and research it for yourself

But from what I've talked about this far, schizophrenia isn't exactly a scary disorder. Not by a long shot. People dull it down to being simply "oh the thoughts tell me to kill people" and nothing really more. Of course people can have violent thoughts, both homicidal or suicidal, but it doesn't really seem right to have everything about schizophrenics be about them being dangerous

Schizophrenics also generally have a higher chance of being manipulated or hurting themselves than they do others, so there's food for thought

But I digress. It's irritating to see people say stuff like "schizoposting" or "delulu" because of this. Hell, even "I am in your walls" """"memes"""" can irk a delusional person and have them go on a spiral. It's in the same way you wouldn't say something like "You NEED to reblog this or else you're a BAD PERSON" to people who have intrusive thoughts about being a bad person

This isn't even covering the other schizospec disorders. I've said "schizospec" a lot but I think it's high time we define it. Schizophrenia is a spectrum. So, here's the definitions for the others

Schizophreniform, where the symptoms for schizoprehnia are present for one month, but less than six months (the criteria for schizophrenia has to have a couple symptoms show for at least 6 months)

Schizoaffective disorder, where a person meets the requirements for both schizophrenia and either major depression or a manic episode

Delusional disorder, where a person experiences primarily delusions

Psychotic disorders, where a person exhibits hallucinations, delusions, catatonia, and or disorganized speech

Schizoid personality disorder, where a person is engrossed in fantasy, reserved socially, apathetic, and has that cold affect

Paranoid personality disorder, where a person is incredibly untrusting and suspicious of others and constantly fears of others being out to get them

Schizotypial personality disorder, where a person is uncomfortable interacting socially and generally disorganized with their thoughts and speech

Epic. These are all gross simplifications of them and I can talk about them all extensively (especially the cluster A personality type ones), but just keep 'em in mind. I always just highly recommend researching for yourself. Always great doing that, no?

But, I digress. Schizophrenia and it's treatment has always irked me the most when it comes to how people talk about disorders. People claim to be supportive and then start clutching their pearls and wailing when they see someone talking to themselves or is just a little emotionally unresponsive. It annoys me greatly lol

I think we have to acknowledge two things and these two things have correlations to each other nor it is fully wrong or right

a) Antonelli is/is going to be a talented driver

b) He is not ready for Formula One right now

Those two points exist and they don't have to contradict each other. Both of them exist at the same time and it's alright.

Kimi is fast. There's got to be a reason why Mercedes wants him (or even if it's just Toto). The pressure on him is immense with the constant yapping made by his team and boss and also the literal expectations people made that "oh he'll beat this, he'll beat that". When George steps in to Mercedes, no one expects him to beat Lewis Hamilton straight away but somehow some delulu people expect Kimi to pull a world championship on his first year.

A person could be really talented. They could be a wonderkid. But when we're talking about Formula One, it extends beyond just being "fast". You need to have the physique, mentality, talent, and connection to be in Formula One. You're going to have to race 24 races in a year, some of them were double headers, triple headers with sprint races and more. Not to mention you got to have the mentality as well to deal with the public eyes on you, the social media spotlight, and some teams' have a crazy amount of PR duties to be done by their drivers. Formula One, in this day and age, extends beyond racing. It is more than racing whether we like it or not.

Mercedes are one of the teams that has a crazy amount of PR work from sponsors for their drivers. It's just 4 months and 9 races in and George already has 31 duties, averaging on 1-2 per races and 1-2 off-race. And all of those were done in between media day, practices or even before and after quali. Sometimes it's so fast paced that he had limited time in some events because he had to travel again to another event in such a short amount of time and you can't say that does not take a toll on someone mentally and physically. It does.

Then apart from the public duties, we have these crazy spotlight from fans, general public, and the media. One bad race, one mistake, one bad radio transmission and they will grill the hell out of it for days, and weeks or even months for the obsessed people. And if you see how it is for F1 athletes on social media right now, it is very easy for them to just throw hate. Fill your comments with threats, cyberbullying these athletes to hell and back, and do other vile things.

My point here is that in these recent years/decade, racing has extended beyond just racing. Whether you hate it or like it, you need to accept that. It is no longer just turning into a race weekend and just racing. Drivers have crazy PR duties ahead of them now, they have crazy spotlight ahead of them. Every piece of their private life is scrutinized. Look at those freak WAG fan accounts on instagram and tiktok. Look at how people dig into a driver's past, family, and relationship. Look at the general media twisting around words and narratives to gain more clicks and milking slight misunderstandings. For someone like Kimi who has yet to a) polish his driving skills fully when people expect the craziest stints out of him b) reach the matured age and is basically still a minor with all these expectations on his back. It is very wise to say that he is not ready for what Formula One is currently and he should be given some time to prepare himself instead. I'm not saying that Kimi would flop like "driver A" or "driver B". He is talented. But the way Formula One works nowadays? You can't just be talented and fast. You need to be ready, physically and mentally. You can pull a Max Verstappen as an example, but F1 in 2015 and F1 in 2025 is DIFFERENT. Things work differently now and you can't refer back to how things work 10 years ago where there are less spotlight.

Not everything needs to be a "gamble" when the consequences can be avoided and you can do it with better ways.

Lately, things have been different. Jake was acting strange ever since that trial. You tried to talk to him, not just about the trial, but about things in general, and he’d hardly respond. If he did, it would only be one or two word answers.

You tried to not get too bothered by it, even though it still hurt quite a bit. Instead you spent more of your time hanging with Susie and Joey.

After a while, Joey managed to warm up to you. He was fun to be around. He was competitive and funny, and watching him and Susie banter was quite interesting. You were also pretty sure Susie had a bit of a crush on him.

One afternoon, the three of you were just playing games like you usually did, when Frank came. After what happened with Jake…you couldn’t help but wonder what he did. He made you uncomfortable. Not to mention, whenever he and/or Julie were around, you weren’t allowed to be there.

“Uh, well, I’ll see you guys later.” You murmured nervously, practically shooting up to your feet, preparing to bolt.

“Wait.” Frank stopped you. “You can stay.”

“I don’t know. I don’t want to make anyone uncomfortable.” You replied. Your eyes darted to Susie and Joey, trying to get a read on their expressions. They seemed just as tense as you were.

“It’s fine. Stay.” Was all he said, so you settled back on the couch. It was awkward and quiet for a bit, before Susie spoke. “Oh my god, I’m really sorry about this, but I have to go to a trial.”

“Me too, actually.” Joey added. You looked at them in shock. No. No way this was happening. You could not do this alone.

“Are you sure you can’t just ignore it or something?” You couldn’t help but ask. They both shook their heads.

Susie gave you an apology hug before she left, and you swear if you don’t die, you’ll kill her yourself when she gets back.

Relax. Maybe he just had a bad day that time. He did spare you after all, and he’s being nice by letting you stay. He won’t hurt you…hopefully.

So, the others left, leaving you and Frank alone together.

Frank couldn’t believe you were sitting with him. He tried to act casual about it, but he could tell you were freaked out, especially after your last encounter. But he needed you to stay. Maybe if he just talked to you or something, Maybe he can find a way to let this all go.

He could have some closure, like you used to tell him. He didn’t know what he was doing, just that he had to make these feelings go away, and maybe this could be it.

There was just one problem. Your memory. Susie had mentioned you lost it a while back, but maybe you would recognize him. There was something about the way you looked at him when he first saw you again, some sort of feeling of familiarity in your eyes. He hoped you would recognize him, but he was also terrified.

This was a horrible idea, but he didn’t know what else to do.

It had been so much easier to hate you when he didn’t see you. When he had an idea of you in his head of you as that perfect uptight rich bitch in college, all priveleged and apathetic, just like the rest of them. But how could he hate you when he knew that was all a lie? How could he hate you when he had you so close? God, you were beautiful. You always have been, but you’ve grown and matured into..something else. He couldn’t put words into it, really. You just left him in complete awe.

You cleared your throat, snapping him out of his trance. He realized where he was and what he was doing. “So, uh, why do you want me here?”

“Just felt like it.” Frank shrugged, acting aloof. You fidgeted with your fingers, a nervous tic you’ve had since you were young, a tell that would let him know you were uncomfortable. Back then, he would’ve grabbed your hands and told you it was going to be okay. He kind of wanted to do that now, but he knew he couldn’t.

Instead, he slipped his mask off, revealing his face. Maybe if you got a good look, you would remember. You glanced at him a couple of times, before looking away…Nothing? Seriously?

Frustrated, he popped a cigarette between his lips, lighting it. He noticed you staring, and offered you one. You shook your head. There was a slight twitch of your brow. You never liked smokers, or alcoholics, or anyone who abused substances. You were such a goody two shoes, always rambling about how it was unhealthy, and you made him promise not to do it unless it was appropriate. Judging by the way you looked now, he had a feeling the real you was somewhere in there.

He blew smoke into the air above him, sighing. “So, am I just here to watch you smoke or….?”

“Relax, I’m not gonna hurt you.” He told you. Your lips quirked slightly. “I didn’t think you were.”

“Really? Cause you seem pretty nervous to me.” He teased. If he didn’t know any better, he would say you were flustered.

You scoffed in response. “The only reason why I’m nervous is because I don’t know what you want me to stay for. You didn’t seem very happy the last time I was here, and Susie says you’re pretty exclusive with your group.”

“The only reason why I was like that was because you caught me off guard. I didn’t expect you to be here. But now I know, and I want you to stay.” He told you.

“But why? Why are you being so nice to me? I don’t get it.”

“Can’t I just be nice?” He asked, and you grinned, shrugging. “I guess so, yeah.”

“You guess so?” He repeated in mock offense. God he missed talking to you. He missed joking around with you. He wished you could remember him. “What? Do I look mean to you?”

He was staring you in your eyes now, turning to face you, his face mere inches from yours. A shy smile crossed your lips. “Maybe a little. But, you did tear my friend out of the locker and scared the shit out of both of us.”

“Yeah, but he had it coming.” Frank let slip, making you frown. “What? What did he do?”

He tried to take what’s not his.

“I had my reasons.” You went quiet at that, reaching down and fidgeting with the locket around your neck. The locket he had given you all those years ago. The one he found you still wearing when he first saw you in that trial.

“I do want to ask one thing, though. What do you know about-” Before you could finish your sentence, Julie came in through the door, spotting you sitting on the couch beside him. “Frank? What are you doing?”

“You need to go, now.”

taking a stand every single time you have a disagreement with your parter is not the healthy way to go. the "you vs me" mentality is what leads to so many divorces. the right mentality should be "you and me vs the problem"

I have to admit it must not have been the best of ideas to wait after after the end of a long (albeit productive) day of work, because I have zero patience for drama queens right now. You hate us people? Why, did we kick your first born? Did we burn your house down? Is your name Inigo Montoya, I killed your father, should I prepare to die? Less, delulu, much less. I simply expressed an opinion you didn't like. Does everyone agree with you in your daily life? Hardly. And it's pretty rich that you come here accusing me of twisting someone's words when you're doing exactly the same. Jesus, can anyone explain these delulus what projection is? How on earth would Jensen "win"? What would he be winning? He said it, we all heard it, discussions are a common thing in his relationship. He even justified with his wife being a strong woman (what a cute way to say argumentative). If anything he is losing, big time. Losing patience, years of quality life, chances of being happier, peace of mind... oh and money, lots and lots of them. Perhaps even credibility, because that woman is an embarrassement.

And although I completely understand and in some way can relate to what he said, I would hardly call it wise. Just because I don't find someone wise, it doesn't mean I hate them. If you read what i wrote correctly, you know, all of it, instead of just the parts you may think I am attacking your fave and come here to argue with me, you'd see I have no problem with him choosing his battles. I do it all the time, at work, when I'm dealing with someone I sure know it's an asshole, even with delulus from Tumblr. But not at home. What I pointed out is that, simply, he should feel safe at home without the impending possibility of someone yelling at him over a disagreement. Those exist, you know? They're called healthy relationships. Write it down, this is important.

My wish for him is not to yell. Is for him to not feel the need to yell, or the concern that he will be yelled at. Is for him to find a place where he feels safe. And if you think that expressing your opinion freely with your partner is "taking a stand" and a "you vs me" mentality, no, honey, no. What Jensen described is actually a you vs me mentality, where he has to cave because his wife is too opinionated to see his side of the equation. In fact, a "You and me vs the problem" mentality would be two people expressing their opinions freely and both working for a common understanding for the sake of a relationship. Not avoiding subjects because they may develop into a fight, or humor a partner because you think they may lash out. Again, yes, I agree that Jensen takes the high road and doesn't fight. I wouldn't fight either. But that just reads as frustration, exhaustion and avoidance to be honest. The road is high but not that wise.
