Also u prob covered this but what’s ur take that Tommy is gonna help buck realize his deep hidden feelings for Eddie?? (This comes from people who thinks 7.06 is Tommy’s last episode)
I haven't covered it (I'm only just now starting to get asks like this wow how did that happen. I haven't posted on tumblr in YEARS haha), but, honest answer ?????
I don't think its going to happen. I FULLY hung up the possibility of buddie ever happening at the end of s6 & think Buck realizing hidden feelings for Eddie is basically a confirmation at this point that they'd go in that direction. And I genuinely don't believe they're going to go in that direction. If what Lou said is true (& not misinterpreted) & Tim originally had the idea for this storyline with Eddie but it became Buck's story... that actually just screams more to me they only want one of them to be queer??
I wouldn't be mad about it if it's done right by any means, certainly! I just. Knowing how these networks work, and how Buck being made canon bisexual is literally making history cuz this is just not a thing shows do this far into the series, do I REALLY believe they're gonna go even further and give both Buck and Eddie coming out & queer self-discovery stories? No. I think they want to keep one of them for the straight men and women that watch this show (you know, those ones that just want someone to thirst over & imagine getting with/live vicariously through as they hook up with all the ladies which was the resounding issue most of them had with Buck being bi. I guess. Stupid reasons but there you have it).
I DO subscribe to the idea that Buck absolutely had feelings for Eddie in like s2... but he didn't realize that at the time & they eventually developed fully into friendship. And I don't think they would ever address that cuz, again, I think doing so would either
confirm that they're going the buddie route
be really really really mean towards the fans that are desperately hoping for buddie to happen cuz it'd be like "hey we see you, have this little crumb even tho we're not actually going there!" sort of thing.
Now, again, I could totally be wrong. Maybe one day I'll have to eat my words and if that day comes I will happily do it! Tho I'm personally now cheering on BuckTommy, it's not like I would hate the idea of Buddie happening, esp considering I hardcore shipped them since I started watching in s4. This is just my personal opinion based on experiences with other shows + looking at everything Tim, Ryan, & Oliver has said in interviews.
Nothing to me screams that they have that planned and, as someone who was there in seasons 4, 5, 6 for all the buddie theories and saw literally none of them come true. Well, I won't hold my breath this time. Cuz that hurt too much in s6.

D F and/or K for the ask game, if you're still doing it?
Thanks! I'm totally still doing it. :]
ask game
D - A pairing you wish you liked but just can’t.
Hmmm. If I want to like a pairing, I usually like it - I'm just that good. (⌐■_■)
I guess I wish that I was more passionate about some smaller femslash ships, I feel like niche yuri warriors are some of our strongest soldiers. I'd love to be hardcore into Cithis/Flamela, but instead I'm like, lightcore into them.
I suppose KB/MS is one that I kinda can't get into.... but I don't really wish I liked it. It doesn't seem to have a lot of the stuff that draws me to a pairing, usually. Oh, but if I was closer to neutral/positive there's a lot of art I've seen which I could enjoy more I guess?
D - What’s the longest you’ve ever been in a fandom?
Depends how you define "in". I mean, I've been a discworld fan since I was about 9, but not ever properly in the fandom. I'd say I was in homestuck fandom for most of my teens, if passively. And Dunmeshi is the first fandom where I've consistently engaged with other fans rather than occasionally dropping a single piece of art and lurking.... so arguably that's the longest? And I wasn't even keeping up with the manga for a while there, but I wrote my undergraduate dissertation on it in like 2019-2020, and had been reading for a bit before then. So if you call that my first bit of fan work you could say it's been like 5 years. That's a very generous estimate though, lmao.
K - What character has your favorite development arc/the best development arc?
Marcille without a doubt. I love Laios' arc very much, but it's a gentle and consistent growth arc where he slowly acquires the wisdom to handle the demon appropriately. Kabru's also has that wonderful moment of vulnerability and bravery, in seeking out his own desire - which is very beautiful.
But I just adore the arc from nightmare to Marcille becoming dungeon lord, this bit of negative character development where Laios accidentally pushes her towards denial and desperation, while at the same time she's also building up the foundations to step back from that edge when her friends call her. Then culminating with accepting Falin's death. It's good.

hello, it is time for violence (the ask game didn't say if i should specify a fandom, so... for the drizzt fandom, unless you want to talk about a different one): 3, 6, 8, 16, 25
Oooh thank you for sending these! 3. screenshot or description of the worst take you've seen on tumblr I've seen some questionable takes over the years but in general, the idea that characters changing and growing over the course of an almost 40 book series is somehow watering them down or disrespectful to the fans. 6. which ship fans are the most annoying? In this fandom I don't think any? I don't think this particular series attracts a ton of hardcore shippers to the point that they've made me hate a ship. 8. common fandom opinion that everyone is wrong about Sorry, but Salvatore is actually a good writer. He's not perfect, but it's not just a happy accident and your uniquely perfect reinterpretation of the source material that has given this series its longevity. (I don't think this is super common but I've seen it enough in different forms for it to fit here.) 16. you can't understand why so many people like this thing (characterization, trope, headcanon, etc) I don't know why Dinin is so popular!! Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against it, I just don't get the popularity of the rest of house Do'Urden tbh. But it's honestly fun to see fellow fans find characters that didn't leave that deep an impression on me initially and run with them and make me see them in a whole new way :) 25. common fandom complaint that you're sick of hearing Honestly I keep so much of the noise blocked out at this point lol. I thought I'd have more to complain about! But I guess there's always nitpicking (which is totally fine ofc) and sometimes it just feels like. hey. this is a series that started out at a time where campy fantasy was not known for being woke (or especially deep) and has had to change to accommodate I don't even remember how many major edition and lore changes over the years. There's plenty to critique but I guess keep in mind that you can't judge a series like this the same as a non-franchise-affiliated series? Thanks for sending these again! I'm always happy to answer asks!
#i've been here for a long long time and have seen different opinions come and go#these are all general and also with the broader online drizzt fandom in mind since this is a smaller fandom here on tumblr

Genuine question if you don’t like the gruvia ship that much wouldn’t you want to stop looking at anything related to them. The ship will probably never go away it’s one of the core four ships so you can obviously expect there to be more moments between them in the manga or anime. If it brings you this much discomfort shouldn’t you maybe stop looking at any gruvia content wouldn’t it make you feel worse ? Or do you enjoy writing essays about how problematic the ship is and just want to inform ppl about it. People that feel the same way about the ship [I don’t know how this ask came across to you but it’s not my intention to come across mean I’m just genuinely asking :)]
Thank you for the genuine question! I'll do my best to answer genuinely as per usual.
To be completely honest, I am not completely sure where you got the idea that I go out hunting and seeking gr///via content?
Maybe it's because I've talked about Pro's opinions a lot, and I did look for some Pro gr///via arguments once for my Veritable Essay post, but did you mean "stop looking at anything related to them" as you want me to stop reading the manga or watching the anime or looking at anything Fairy Tail related?
I mean, I do hate the ship, but at least for Fairy Tail's anime, the part I've watched which is most of it, not everything is about gr///via. It does undermine my enjoyment of it greatly, but, as I said in several posts I believe, I have skipped her scenes and even skipped her battle with Gray, the entire episode. I guess I'm not sure what you want me to do? Did you want me to completely drop the fandom? But I like lots of aspects of Fairy Tail despite gr///via, and it's my first ever anime, so I'm not just going to boycott it in its entirety. I am avoiding reading 100yq though because of how poorly written it is and because of gr///via, so perhaps I'm already doing what you're suggesting.
I also do have the gr///via tags blocked, that as well as juvia and all the iterations of her name. I'm not really on the lookout for her content because yes, like you said, it causes me discomfort. That doesn't mean it's not fun to talk about how much I hate it, especially when there are a few other people who feel the same in the sea of people who love love love juvia and her ship. And yes, I do enjoy writing essays on how it's problematic and informing others. I've heard quite a bit of gratitude back from visitors on my blog, so I feel like I'm doing a good thing, being one of the only people on Tumblr that I've seen to actively talk about it. It's makes people who agree with me feel validated.
I hope I don't sound offended, I'm just a tad confused, but I appreciate the ask! I'm not quite sure where it's coming from.
#I mean if I hate gruvia does that mean I have to boot myself out of the fandom?..#I guess I'm not a totally hardcore fan for not shipping them?#Well I'm not really a totally hardcore fan anyway because it's not the best anime but I still like it#askgraluna#ask#anti gruvia#anon#anti juvia#anti juvia loxar#anti juvia lockser#fairy tail

I had absolutely no hopes for the new HB episode, but somehow I still managed to be disappointed. I mean, there were some parts I liked— Loona and Octavia were great and I liked seeing them interact, the glimpse into Loona’s backstory was heartbreaking and I desperately want to know more, and Stolas not being overly predatory towards Blitz was a welcome relief. But still, all that time spent on Stolas and Blitz and their awful chemistry was EXHAUSTING. And it’s just like you said— the narrative refuses to demonize Stolas at all, at the expense of every other character in the damn show. If the episode could have just spent a little longer on the girls and the whole father/daughter thing then it could have been a lot better, but nope! It’s just a giant fuckin’ Stolitz circlejerk 90% of the time. I would KILL to see more of Loona’s time in the pound (I once had dared to hope for an episode dedicated to her life before Blitz), but I guess this is all we’re going to get. Fucking tragic, because that was my favorite part of the episode. But of course it gets sidelined for more Stolitz, a shitty ship for a shitty show made by an even more shitty creator.
I really do think that with every episode that plays out like this, they lose some of the audience that was here for Stolas unadjacent reasons, leaving only the hardcore Stolas fans and Stolitz shippers behind.
Problem is, the way fandom culture is nowadays, you can't just say "I'm here for the ship and the fanservice; I don't care if it's healthy and I don't care if it's consistent or well-written or good." This is 2022 and shipping is activism, shipping is how you advertise to the world that you're a good person who likes healthy, wholesome relationships written by Good People™.
So you've got this plot that's turning into The Stolas Show, and this dwindling crowd that's just increasingly doubling down on Stolitz as a mutual, healthy, loving ship written by someone who totally isn't an abuser.

I’m actually not on board with Tom playing Feyd in Dune 2 opposite Timothée’s Paul. It would be...a total media and fandom chaos. One of them can’t even be praised or shat on now (on twitter, at least) without the other being brought into the equation. They’re constantly being pitted against each other by their hardcore fans and some TimDaya shippers (who are really, really weird because why tf do you insist shipping someone who’s already in a relationship with another person, like?—but that’s another story). Anyway, I digress. My point is there are so many people who want to create non-existent beef between Tom and Timmy like they’re not actually friends in real life. Lmao.
There’s also the issue of him being not taken seriously (and hated on, actually) by some critics and filmbros because his name is always attached to big studio blockbusters. I fear Tom joining such a big franchise like Dune would just feed their hatred of him even more, like they’d probably accuse him of riding on the coattails of Dune: Part 1’s success or something.
Lastly, now that his and Z’s relationship is out in the open, I feel like they won’t be working together like this anymore (aside from going back as PeterMJ for Spider-man in the future) to avoid getting more unnecessary scrutiny on their highly-publicized romance. Remember that even if they’re out, they still want to be as private as possible. Also, both of them are actors and creatives who are very serious with their craft, and I don’t imagine they’d want to keep the relationship eclipse everything they do as individuals. (Hence, why Tom’s team specifically requested the press in Spain to not ask anything about Z).
So...yeah. People can still dream of this happening. I’m personally just not thrilled at the idea very much because I’m scared what it might do for Tom and Z. But if it does happen...well, then we’ll be seeing film and stan twitter collectively lose their shit.
Didn't Timmy say Tom recommended him for the role in Dune? I can't remember the specific interview but it was one with just Timmy and Z during Dune press. So there's no animosity between these two.
Shading/hating Tom is nothing new on social media. Especially Twitter. It's a cesspool of comparing Tom to Tobey, Andrew, Timmy, Hunter, Nathan Fillion, and the like. It's always someone.
Personally, I'd rather see Tom in something I enjoy watching. No offense, Timmy. That's just me. I watched Don't Look Up with the fam on Christmas, and when it ended, we all said what a waste of our time. It's a parody of the Trump administration, and the ending is even more far fetched than any Marvel movie I've ever seen. Admittedly, I'm not an expert on film, and tbh, I don't want to be. I'd rather watch NWH a million times than watch Don't Look Up one more time. And no, I'm not a fan of Trump. It was just a really bad movie, imo. If you don't know, Timmy was in that movie. I've seen him in one other movie -- Lady Bird -- and neither movie was my cup of tea.
If you haven't already guessed, I haven’t yet watched Dune. I plan on watching Dune 2, but I need this time to get over Denis and Timmy's pretentious comments about superhero/Marvel movies.
Should Tom join the Dune cast -- I, personally, don't think he will -- they would be blessed, imo. He loves Dave Bautista and they would make a great, albeit David and Goliath-like, team. Tom could probably even teach Dune’s stunt team a thing or two about stunts.

Hi Princesstadashi,
When did you first see the show series in full? For me it was in Febuary of this year..
What brought you to liking Zalluzeb?
Was it Zeb or Kallus that you liked best or both, or is it the dynamic between the too that the SWRebel's show created?
TwinSoulVisionary :)
I started watching I think partway through season 3 airing? My best friend was really into the show and kinda dragged me into it, and I've been a fan ever since then :) I started cosplaying Ezra pretty soon after I started watching the show and met some local Rebels cosplayers who then introduced me to the local convention and Ren faire communities and honestly I would not be where I am today without Rebels so it means a lot to me ^^
I really love both characters individually and how they are together :) I got introduced to the show with my best friend hardcore shipping them and so I went into the show with the ship in mind but then totally fell in love with it after seeing them interact ^^ One part of my brain identifies a lot with Zeb but there's a bit of Kallus up in here too XD I guess I love the hand in unlovable hand (but honestly both very lovable they just don't see themselves that way) dynamic, both pretty rough and guarded towards the world because they've been through but then really soft with each other ^^ (I'm totally not projecting what I want IRL onto this relationship, nope XD)

Exactly. I feel Sus sometimes seeing jikook moments but I'm not hardcore jikooker. I adore their bond, they're pretty close in the group but taekook I didn't felt anything Sus & Tkkrs were annoying to me initially as time passed on I'm laughing at their narratives & tbh their theories became boring too. I think this new chapter shows different side of members wrt work & probably this shipping thing dies down a little? But I didn't get one thing, if members are on camera doing anything it is related to work right? Then why people think as far as dating? & No I'm not homophobic here, I think in a way like it's their profession right why would they bring personal/ private lives infront of millions? something that confuses me n ik I won't get answer 😅! Anyway, your blog is nice, keep going 💜
Right? They are so annoying and yeah, that's so true their theories are boring and repetitive and the worst of it all is that they don't even make sense.
I hope a new chapter will begin. I'm so tired of the nonsense with ships too and frankly at this point I'll just be okay if members don't even interact with each other. I'm honestly kind of been "tired" with jikook for the same reason. For a lot of time in 2020 and 2021 I just hoped they wouldn't even look at each other. Maybe 2022 will be the year.
It's okay, I don't believe you're homophobic. I think it's the same way actors fall in love with each other while they're filming a movie. It's work for them, too; but feelings don't know about "work". I've fallen in love with friends, with classmates. I wasn't planning on it happening, but it did. Tom Holland and Zendaya have been dating pretty much on and off since the first spiderman movie, and they didn't say it back then but their fans already knew. Before them, Andrew Grandfield and Emma Stone fell in love while filming spiderman too. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt fell in love while filming Mr and Mrs Smith (and just because, I wanna add that Angelina is a confirmed bisexual and that there have been rumours about Brad Pitt liking men too). Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron fell in love while filming high school musical.. I could go on forever, but you know what I mean.
With bands, we don't know about it that much or maybe it doesn't happen as often as with actors, but it happens in bands too. I think it's messier with bands, tho. Because you're too much time together and there are people who love spending all that time together, but most people feel it's a burden and the relationship doesn't work out. Also, men love casual sex a bit more than women. Like, it might seem dumb but I just can't ignore that fact. So men will prefer touring and maybe hooking up with women (or other men ofc) in every city the play in, and not commit to a relationship. Zayn Malik from one direction was officially dating Perrie Edwards back in like 2011, 2012, and he was still having sex with other women in every country One Direction would play in. Boys will be boys, I guess. And I guess that's why we don't often see committed relationships within bands.
This doesn't mean they don't hook up with each other, tho. People in bands hook up with each other sooo much. I'm pretty sure John Lennon used to hook up with another Beatles. Like two years ago a spice girl said she and another spice girl hooked up a couple of times in hotels while they were touring. Friends having sex without taking it to a relationship also happens A LOT. It has happened to me. It doesn't have to be messy and you can totally keep going with your life after that, if both of you don't want to turn it into something more.
Then there's the more rare, but not unheard-of cases of people getting married inside the band. The only ones I know the names of are Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham (the name can be deceiving but he's a man) from Fleetwood Mac. They played together in the band and they fell in love and they got married. Then they got divorced and wrote a whole album about it and continued with the band and touring. At least they could still work together for some time after the divorce.
So, yeah. I think people......shippers..... See something romantic in the relationship of two people and, obviously taking Jungkook and Jimin as an example, they just happen to be idols. It could be that they've fallen in love the same as actors fall in love with each other all the time. It could be that they're just two guys who hook up sometimes or have hooked up. It could be they are in a committed official relationship (at least to those around them).
I hope this made sense to you, and if there's anything else you would like to talk about, you can always ask about it, no worries!

MARE'S RECAPS ~ THE MANDALORIAN: CHAPTER 9 "THE MARSHALL"
Oh wow! It's been a while since I've done something like this. Last year, I caught up with season 1 about 2 days before the finale, so I didn't have the opportunity to write reviews/recaps. This season, though, I'm going to 😀 so here it is the first one!
For the folks that haven't seen the premiere and don't want spoilers, scroll past this, fast and furious, because it's full of them. If you want to blacklist tags to avoid spoilers from me, I suggest that you add #mando spoilers, #the mandalorian season 2 spoilers, and #mare's mando recaps to the list.
I've seen the episode a few times (yeah, I'm that obsessed with the show) so some of my reactions are more visceral than others since I was too excited the few first times I watched it and I missed a lot of details (another reason to rewatch the episode more than once). This recap is loooooong, which is an indication of how amazing it was.
So this my final warning to those avoiding spoilers. Stop reading, right now. The rest of you… enjoy and let me know if you share some of my opinions. I'm always open to chat 😊
Chapter 9 ~ The Marshall
So it begins! It's so exciting!
I knew that Mando and baby Yoda walking in the street at night was going to be the opening scene. I started to think about it after watching the second trailer, and I'm glad that I was right.
It turns out that the red-eyed creatures were not jawas as I saw some people saying.
Baby Yoda was not happy with the little excursion to the fighting arena. Not walking on the streets nor inside watching the fight. I still laughed when he locked himself up in the pram, even if I've watched the trailer like a gazillion times by now and I knew he was going to do it.
And talking about the baby, he's getting more vocal I think. He's making a few new noises, whimpering more, which I'm not sure if it's a good or bad thing. That he complains more means that he feels safe with his buir and isn't afraid of retaliation for it as he probably was with others in the past and the reason he didn't cry much in season 1. But it breaks my heart that he is stressed. And that child is anxious, I can tell you that much.
The fight with Gor Koresh's thugs was awesome! The gamorrean flying to squash Mando and failing had me cracking up. And omg! Din'd moves! Using his helmet as a weapon and throwing his vibroblade. And leaving Gor Koresh to be eaten! Man of his word, he didn't kill the guy.
On a side note, I would've never guessed it was John Leguizamo who gave voice to Koresh until I saw the credits. Of all the actors who could play the part, I never thought of him.
Umm, I'm curious about the time Mando has spent in Tatooine, which according to him it's been a lot and it makes sense since he knows so much about the Tuskens, their language and culture. I'm guessing he spent a while among them. He had to learn all that somehow.
When I speculated that Mando was going back to Tatooine after watching the trailers, I said that I was going to riot if he didn't visit his favorite mechanic. Thankfully, I didn't need to worry. I loved Peli in episode 5 of season 1 and I loved her even more now remarking on Din's dislike of droids and trying to keep the baby for herself. Not to mention she complaining about not getting good help these days 🤣
And I ADORE the (improvised?) Birikad Din got for the baby. Of course, the baby is safer in the pram, right (guessing that's why he used it when he met Gor Koresh), but there's something sweet watching him carrying his son so close to him.
And I tell you, Mando has been spending credits lately in baby stuff. I mean, he got a new pram (which I initially thought it was the original that he had somehow retrieved from the garbage in Nevarro, but no, it's not the same, and neither it's the one that Kuiil made) and he also got the bag/birikad thing, which looks brand-new. I wonder what else he bought.
Watching the droids doing maintenance of the Razor Crest makes me think it's all for nothing, knowing that in a few episodes (it might be even in the next one) Mando is going to crash the ship. More than once perhaps.
😆 The baby still loves speed! I think riding on the speeder bike was the only moment that he truly enjoyed in this episode. Look at that happy face
When they arrived at Mos Pelgo and Din went into the cantina, leaving the baby outside, I was like: Din! That's not responsible. How can you leave your son out in the inclement sun, alone! Then baby Yoda peeked in and I went: never mind. I take back what I said.
Oooh. Cobb Vanth! I love him! For a moment, I thought it could actually be Boba but it seemed illogical and that's what Mr. Feloni and Mr. Favreau wanted us to think. I was correct.
My gawd! Din's shock when Vanth took the helmet off. I just knew he would freak out the moment Cobb asked for drinks and I said to drink they need to remove their helmets and Mando is going to lose it when this guy does. And the standoff! Was so good! "Take it off or I will" is going to become a quite popular phrase in fics from now on, not in the same context, but yeah…
The krayt dragon… oh shit! Or rather Dank farrik! We can't see Mando's face or expression but I can imagine which one was when he saw the dragon eating the bantha the first time.
Oh my goodness. The baby hiding in the pot! Too adorable!
I know every hardcore SW fan lost it watching Vanth modified speeder because is a callback to the Phantom Menace and Anakin but my first thought was: is he compensating for something? Sorry, I couldn't help it
The dog-lizard creatures were kinda scary at first but then became adorable. Almost as much as baby Yoda getting out of hiding
Baby Yoda doesn't like dog-lizards things. He looked afraid to be eaten I think. Poor little guy.
And look at that! Din showing such growth! To think he was the one incensing others in negotiation 😆 this is a total callback to the jawas in Arvala-7. And I gotta tell you, Din freaking loves his flamethrower. He doesn't waste the opportunity to use it.
The krayt dragon eating the Tusken raider instead of the bantha was quite of a plot twist 😆
When they were planning the attack on the dragon, Cobb Vanth's face when Din told him that the bones and pebbles were to scale, and then when he had volunteered the villagers to help… priceless!
I like the fact of banding together with others for a greater good, relying on others to accomplish something is going to continue being the theme of this season. It started last season but I think it's going to be stronger this time around along all of the episodes.
😳😲😳😲 this thing vomits acid?! What. The. FUCK?!!!
Cobb: I don't think it's dead
Mando: me neither
Me, at the same time as Din: yeah, nope it's not dead
Oh yeah! Teaming up with jetpacks!
When they showed the bantha with the remaining explosives my first thought was why didn't they use all those before?! That's why they didn't kill it!! Of course, it was just an excuse to grant Din a more grand win in the end, but you know, it's stupid not to use everything you have to kill the monster on the first try. Just saying
Wait, what? Din! What are you going to do? No! Taking care of the child is your responsibility, not Cobb Vanth's! I hate this plan of yours, Din Djarin!! Whichever it is!
Oh! Nice callback to the flaw on that jetpack. But makes me wonder, do all the rising Phoenixes have the same flaw? Cuz unless Din knows Boba in person and that it's his armor with that particular flaw, it means it's a common problem for all and I don't like it.
Get away, Din! Get away, Din!! FLY AWAY!! AAAAAAAHHHHHH! NOOOOOO!
There he is! Damn, Mando! Don't scare me like that! Altho, it was a nice move.
Okay, but now I want someone to explain something to me. If the dragon's acid melted people at contact before, how the hell is Din so whole? I mean, sure for argument' sake let's say his beskar armor provides some protection, but he's not entirely covered in it. His cape and undersuit seem just fine, albeit sticky. Where's the logic in that?
The tuskens getting the pearl reminded me of the jawas and the mudhorn's egg, chanting zukka, zukka (or however egg is spelled in Jawa).
That's quite a piece of meat. The baby is going to be happy eating off it for days🤣
😮😮😳😳 BOBA FETT!!!!! Yesssssss!!
Okay, I've seen other people's thoughts and some think that Boba was after Cobb Vanth because he had the armor, but I don't know. If that was true then why he hadn't gone to Mos Pelgo and got it? It seems to me that it's more likely that Boba is following Din somehow because it's the second time in as many Mando's visits to the planet that they sort of cross paths. Could they know each other? Have some score to settle? It's possible. Din has spent much time on Tatooine -his words, not mine- so it wouldn't be so out of consideration that they actually know each other. That if Mando knows Boba is (fake?) Mando, I don't know. Probably not, but who knows?
Extra thoughts
I gotta say that Ludwig Göransson is killing it with the score music! Oh. My. God! So so so so good! I could tell from the trailers that it was going to be awesome this season but it astounded me in chapter 9. Gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous! My favorite piece is when they're going to the dragon's cave to kill it. The orchestral sound of the already familiar music blew my mind!

Hi, I'm a fellow writer in the fandom and I admire your work. I wanted to ask, as a popular writer, do you get fixated sometimes on the number of kudos/comments/hits etc that your new work gets, and does this impact your motivation/inspiration? I think comparison is the thief of joy, and I really want to get over this feeling when I post my own work, so was wondering if even popular and regular writers such as yourself feel like this to, and if , what's your secret? Thanks!
Hi! 1) You are so sweet, ahh, and 2) YES, I DO. Gosh, yes, I absolutely do get insecure about those kinds of things, and I think that anyone who says they don't ever feel that way is either lying (to themselves, possibly) or maybe just pure magic, like some cross between a writer and a unicorn.
I love ao3 and I love all of its metrics and I love numbers and statistics, but there’s definitely that shadow side where having all of that easily available makes it deceptively easy to compare your own work to other people’s. I do it all the time! It honestly makes it a little hard for me at times to read h50 fic and fully enjoy it, because I keep... looking at it and wondering how my own stacks up against it, unwillingly. That's not a relaxing experience, and sometimes not even a very fun one. (Another part of it is that I just write SO MUCH for h50 and there is SO MUCH I still want to write, and I don’t want to risk reading something that’s very close to an idea I had and then never being quite sure if what I write after that was influenced by the other person’s work or if it’s really still my idea, because I have this (pretty irrational) fear of accidentally stealing someone else’s work even though one of the really great things about fandom is that it’s a very collaborative process as a whole and being inspired by other people’s stuff is usually totally okay, buuuut that’s a different rambly story.)
And I definitely do also get... some cringey feelings, hardcore, around fics I posted that don't do very well numbers-wise. Sometimes it's expected - fic that doesn't follow traditional formats or doesn't feature Steve/Danny, for example, is always something where I KNOW it won't get as much attention because I know how fandom works and that lessens the sting because it doesn't HAVE to hold up to those other fics that perform way better, because I already know it's not really comparable. The truth is, of course, that most fic is not really comparable to other fic, but it’s easy to fall into that trap anyway. If I post something that seems like my average kind of work and it gets less kudos or comments than usual, I do start to doubt the fic and second-guess myself - is something about this weird? Is it too [insert quality x]? Is it bad? Did I unknowingly do something terrible and people are now avoiding me? The answer to all of those is probably no, and going through it a bunch of times has definitely helped, because what usually happens is that I end up somewhat avoiding the fic in question because it makes me a little ashamed and awkward to think about it (a relative failure! oh no! I'm human!) and then, eventually, I return and reread the fic. By that point I have enough distance from it in time that I can look at it a lot more objectively, and it's way easier to see what works and what does not than when I posted it and I had just read it a dozen times in twenty-four hours and the words were burned into my brain. And upon that reread, inevitably, I realize that, holy shit, it was NOT AS BAD as I had made it out to be in my mind! It’s actually kind of fun! Imagine the ego boost of realizing your most cringy recent work is actually pretty okay, haha, and it's silly, but it's a revelation every time. The quality of a fic is not dictated by how many people read it or comment on it or like it, and intellectually I absolutely know that, but it’s hard to remember when it’s about yourself and you’re still in that emotionally vulnerable place of having just shared your work with the world and it feels like the world is not as into it as you thought (or hoped) it’d be. It’s honestly very, very reassuring to have those experiences to fall back on, but sadly the only way I know to get there is to just tough it out and feel super awkward for a while.
When I’m writing, on the other hand, I usually don’t really think about what other people might think of it. I have the advantage that (pretty much) all of my work consists of fairly short stand alone stories, which means I don’t have to struggle with keeping my motivation up for a second chapter of something but I get to start fresh every time, and that’s nice, because I can just lose myself in the joy of throwing words around and making characters do things that make me giggle. That’s not to say I never think of the outside world while writing - I realized, pretty recently, that I occasionally end up constructing paragraphs or pieces of dialogue a certain way mostly so it will make for a good excerpt to put in the eventual fic description, which might give me a sense of accomplishment because it’s nice when things work out and look good, but in all fairness it’s probably far more motivated by attempts to package the finished work attractively so other people will want to click on it than by anything else. I don’t know if that’s a bad thing. I don’t think so - I don’t feel like it lessens my work and it doesn’t interrupt my enjoyment of it in the moment, which are the key elements for me - but other people might disagree.
But the heart of thing is, just, there are SO MANY factors that influence a fic’s numbers, and not all of them are visible (I’d argue most of them aren’t, in fact), and it always helps me to keep that in mind. It puts things in perspective somewhat and softens the harshness of a black and white kudo count judgment. Numbers can depend on when you post a fic (what day of the week, time of the year, time relative to big fandom moments, whether you’re in the middle of a global pandemic or not), how you pick your title, what you put in the description, how you use the tags, what genres or tropes are popular in your specific fandom, the genre of your fic in general (pwp as a rule tends to get lots of hits and few kudos or comments, for example, making it totally unfair to compare it to G-reated fluff fic with super different ratios), how much you’ve posted before (because if someone likes one of your works, they’re often likely to check if you have more in the same fandom), how many fics other people post around the same time (because yours might be gone from the first page of most recently updated works in a fandom or ship tag very quickly if others push it out), how big your fandom is(!!!) (over two thirds of my works on ao3 are for h50, but h50 only makes it into the top 10 of my most kudo’d works by the skin of its teeth) and definitely also what your fandom’s culture is like (compared to a lot of other fandoms, h50 fans are a-ma-zing when it comes to leaving comments, my gosh, and as a writer I adore all of you), how old your ao3 account is (the longer you’ve been around, the more likely a higher number of people is subscribed to you as an author or has read your previous work or has encountered your name, etc), how long your fic is (under a thousand words in my experience generally does less well than 1-5k, but longer fics might end up with lots of chapters which switches things up because people come back to it when there’s an update, and even if a long work is all in one chapter it will probably stand out for the wordcount and might attract attention that way, etc), whether or not your fic is part of a series (in my experience it will probably get more hits because it’s a chain of fics that leads you to the next one, but the kudos might not go up at the same rate because people might forget a kudo or reread previous works when a new one is added), whether you make a habit of commenting on other people’s fic (I’ve had comments saying MY comment on their work led them to my fic!), if you have social media like Tumblr or Twitter where you can promote your work (it’s advertising, basically), and any of a bunch of random little other factors. Sometimes, I see a sudden little cluster of kudos on an old fic in the daily ao3 kudos email, and I assume someone somewhere maybe recced that fic, but it usually remains a total mystery who or where or even if it happened at all and wasn’t just a weird coincidence to begin with. Sometimes the thing a fic’s popularity depends on is really just whether it clicks with people at that point in time, whatever that means, which is an even more impossible thing to grasp or predict than anything else.
Or you can look at things from a totally different angle and not try to make yourself care less about numbers, but just accept that you do because you’re human and we all crave validation, and instead try to roll with that. A brain hack: when I do start getting down about numbers, it also helps me to focus on one work and just... try to visualise what those kudo (or hit or bookmark or comment) counts mean, if you were to translate them to the real world. While it can be super helpful to remember that there’s a LOT going on that you can’t see and that’s virtually impossible to really explain, it’s also nice to somewhat do the opposite and try to make things as concrete as possible instead. I like measuring in school classes (~25-30 heads, I’d say) and “my fic only has fifty kudos but this other person’s has ten times as many” could easily make anyone sad and demotivated, but “my fic has fifty kudos and that’s TWO WHOLE CLASSROOMS packed full of people that all read my work and liked it so much they wanted to give me a little thumbs up for it” is actually pretty cool and encouraging, I think. Or you could measure in sports teams (I don’t know sports, but soccer has 11 players on the field per team, so as soon as your fic has 33 kudos that’s three teams which means you’ve got yourself a little beginning league! how exciting!) or in DnD campaigns (variable of course, but most of mine have had around four players plus a DM, so if you have twenty kudos? that’s FOUR WHOLE DnD campaigns that enjoyed reading your fic, and it’s fully up to you how many half-orcs that includes). You could apply this method using literally any other measurement that works for you, too. If you have a hard time painting a mental image of numbers, you could even open up a Paint doc or get a piece of paper and start counting out little dots or copy-pasted images of a person, or get a big bag of physically present M&Ms and count them out, or take a good look at your dog and then go around the neighborhood and collect forty-nine more dogs and pile them all into your home and be slightly frightened by the utter delighted fluffy chaos that ensues in your living room. That’s how many people liked your fic! That’s a heck of a lot of wagging tails! Who knew a kudo could bark this loudly!
Disclaimer: maybe keep the dog thing as your very last resort, because your neighbors might not be super into their pet getting dognapped for the purpose of visualizing fanfiction stats. The point is really just to remember that there’s an actual person behind every kudo you get, no matter what the cumulative number is, and even if you have seven or five or three kudos, that’s seven or five or three very real people that hit that button. That’s pretty damn awesome. Also keep in mind how you feel if you read a fic, and take some time to realize that every single person that left you a kudo went through that same process of spending time reading words (the words you wrote!) and experiencing that story and THAT’S why they left that kudo. It’s a real person’s real investment.
This ended up very long and rambly, so tl;dr: You are in no way alone in feeling that way, it's okay and normal and so very very human to feel like that, but you still shouldn't let it get you down, because numbers fake being meaningful very well but are deep down just little squiggles on your screen and they’re more scared of you than you are of them, while at the same time there are real individuals that enjoy your work even if you usually never see them. Your fic is worth posting. That’s the one factor in all of this that’s a constant, not a variable.
(And as a very important sidenote, just be kind to yourself, always. Does it truly stress you out? Are you feeling really bad about it today? Does it make your anxiety spike? Then give yourself room to take a little step back and allow yourself some time away from it. Go watch something you enjoy, or read something nice, or do something else that makes you feel good. Fic is something that should add to your life, not subtract from it. You don’t owe anyone anything, not even yourself in this context, and I used to push myself occasionally to get something finished TODAY, and eventually I started realizing, well, why? Why not instead of reading it over again just get some sleep or watch an episode of something I want to watch, especially if I literally just finished the fic and I feel a little unsure about it and it might actually be beneficial to me and my own feelings about it if I just give it a day or even a week and let it rest and then look at it again and THEN post it, if I want to, whether that’s with some changes beforehand or not? Who set me that deadline that’s apparently looming over me? I did, and it’s fake, and it’s there for absolutely no good reason. Breathe. Put yourself first. Be really really really selfish about your own fic writing experience, even, because it’s supposed to be something you enjoy (that’s what a hobby is!), and the rest is secondary.)
#anon#ask#writing#ao3#it's very odd to get called a popular writer by the way oh my gosh#nice!!! so very nice!!! thank you!!! but also difficult to reconcile with my own internal image of myself#all the more evidence that brains lie to us all the time#*

Tbh I'm kinda surprised to read that so many people seem to think of Engage as a better entry than 3H in general. The most comments/reviews I saw were praising the gameplay but were often not so fond of the story and/or the characters, and many think it's a step down from 3H. IMO both games have their flaws, different ones at that. I'm not sure if you can even compare them that much bc I feel they focus on different things, with Engage more leaning towards combat and 3H more an storytelling [1]
[2] and lore. It certainly has more touching moments, especially AM was a real rollercoaster of emotions in part II. That being said I don't think the story or characters in Engage aren't nearly as bad as many make them out to be. It has some anime-cliche moments, is sometimes chaotic and feels a little rushed at some points. It's not mind-blowing or anything new, but it's ok. I do like that Alear is not the typical confident hero, though. Gameplay-wise I like both games but I do prefer the
[3] variety of maps in Engage. Overall I think they are both good games, even if I think Engage won't be as popular in fanworks as 3H still is, or at least not that long. But... even though it's completely off topic... the biggest surprise for me was how popular Griss, at least on AO3, compared to other characters. Wtf? lol but to each their own I guess :) Do you have any favorites or even ships from this game?
I think it's because a lot of reviews are explicitly interested in gameplay over story/characters. Usually it's the diehard fans who regularly post about FE content who have mixed feelings on it that are different between gameplay/story. I've definitely seen some fans talk about not enjoying the story as much as Houses', and those reviews who balance their reviews on gameplay/story seem to always be the ones YT regularly recommends to me since they post about FE so often.
Personally I don't think even the gameplay is extremely comparable because they have vastly different combat concepts. Generally I'd say the two games come down to personal preference. I don't think Engage's gameplay is particularly bad so much as it just isn't as fun for me. It's definitely a bit convoluted though, but so was Houses' (like, I rarely used gambits or battalions because of all the menus and I did just fine in gameplay without paying much attention to those).
Both of them honestly just also have too much to do outside of the main content. It's fine not to have it be totally linear, but it's not an experience like Fates where you get some bonuses really quick and get to take a break from the maps. In PoR you get a break and get to manage your units and go through conversations separate from supports and it's a really simple few menus that are easy to get through every chapter. Houses and Engage both have way too much going on outside of main battles and that exhausted me pretty fast. Too much to do, too many menus, too much going on in the maps... All that extra stuff is tiring for me and I just play the games very simply lol. Neither was better than the other for me, honestly.
The characters are a bit bland sometimes, but they're not like, horrendous lol. Some reviews seem to insist they're like, the worst thing FE has ever done with its characters. It wasn't that bad, but I do get bored of them sometimes (mainly because all their conversations have to do with the same things and you don't really learn much about the characters from them).
But then, like I've said before, as a hardcore AM fan, Sylvain and Felix were better in their supports than in the main story because they had a similar problem in the main story. All their lines were the same old stuff and it was tiring that they were clearly better characters than the main story dialogue would give them credit for. Houses definitely had a bit of a similar problem. Bernadetta and Marianne were also pretty one-note characters, though Marianne progressed a bit. Raphael was also very one note, and so was Caspar. See what I mean lol, Engage didn't start this trend. Houses, Fates and Awakening had similar problems, where most of its cast didn't have much depth.
I think Alear didn't have much of an effect on me because FE4 is my favorite game and FE5 is my fourth favorite, and both those games had lords with an extreme lack of confidence. FE5 forget it, my poor baby boy literally locked himself in a room because of a "bad decision" (i hate you august and you were dragon dad's biggest mistake im sorry dragon dad but it's true) that got someone killed and needed a whole paragraphs-long pep talk. He's my favorite lord next to Ike and Dimitri, because they're very outside of the traditional super kind, let's save everyone and be nice people forever, type of lord. They're all angry, revenge driven people, and also people who refuse to accept any kind of injustice and don't accept bullshit. They're very kind, but equally balanced imo. It's not like Marth who is just waaay too far on the sliding scale of kindness lol. Ike would feed a hungry homeless person (he did, canonically, pre-story and during the story) while stabbing some villain at the same exact time and being like 🤷 well you were a piece of shit. Good for my favorite lords because they'd all do that LOL. My scared baby boy will stab you in FE5, but in FE4 his promoted class allows him to wield all weapons in the game except holy weapons and dark magic, so he's a good contender for "do not piss off". :D
I'm probably the only person willing to defend the maps in Houses lol. Since it's a story from different perspectives but it's the same story, it makes sense to reuse the maps. Some of them are unique depending on if you visit that location in another route or not, but if the characters have to visit a certain location in the story, you get the same map so I don't actually mind that. It's not like FE8 where the split routes led the main characters on different paths to reunite (again lol), but a story that has the characters going through the same outlets to reach their destinations.
Somehow I'm not surprised by Griss being super popular since it's one of those whacky unexpected fandom things lol. He's unique at least, and I guess people probably find him very funny. Wouldn't be surprised if it's like a me-and-Jarod thing lol.
My favorite character overall is Alfred, and good for him for staying my favorite from his first trailer appearance to the end of the whole game lol. ALSO good for him for having the only one of two explicitly romantic endings, and you could even argue Kagetsu uses a lot of romantic terminology on the regular anyway so it comes off as more normal for him, versus having a character who isn't normally like that just toss platonic love out the window immediately and being the only one to do it!
Other than him I guess I'd say Diamant and Ivy are my other favorites, and Jean, Yunaka and Panette are below them. Good for Engage for giving me favorites who are equally male and female lol, usually my favorites are all male because the writing for women in fictional media generally just sucks.
Am I the only one who would consider Jean a favorite? Probably lol, nobody seems to like him. Poor boy.
Ships I'd say are Diamant/Alfred as my top one, Alfred/Alear as my equally top one (really I think it's the player pandering that might put it below Diamant/Alfred? It'd be a LOT cuter if it wasn't so player-directed), then some assorted ones would be Diamant/Ivy, a little bit Fogado/Yunaka, and a tiiiny bit Louis/Chloe. ...Oh also Emblem DimiClaude. >:D You weren't getting out of that one!

Whooah, that's a great discussion
I don't think that there's gonna be a time skip, cause you're totally right, Anya's pretty much the main sell at this point. And in this state of mind she's just to young to think about those things (I actually kinda think that she's not even 6 - she lied after read Loid's thought, and that's why she simply doesn't have the ability to understand the material they teach her at school and have difficulties with pronouncing some words, but that's not the point) while Damian is too mature for his age mentally because of his family situation. And they are not gonna be on the same page on this one any time soon just because they mature differently.
But at the same time Damian's attraction to Anya is his core trait that stops him from being a perfect unproblematic student and arrogant jerk and - speaking of readers and viewers perception - painfully boring mini-boss of the series. And to fuel that aspect of the show/manga Damianya moments are gonna happen and a lot since the ship has a huge fanbase.
And to continue your point, Damian is indeed secondary character, but I would say in very, very unic way. Like he's not a plot device like Franky or Nightfall. He kinda like Twilight's mission target Donovan Desmond - but Donovan is final boss and doesn't appear much while Damian in every other sequence. He is actually pretty much the one thing that moves the plot of the series (like the time when he asked his father to come and Twilight met his target Donovan). And Damian's two core motivations is his father's approval and Anya (that conflicts with each other but again not the point). Therefore Damianya is crucial to move the plot of the series forward.
So that leaves the Anya's part of the story and that's kinda a dilemma. Like she's not yet capable of loving Damian back or even comprehend the fact he has feelings for her (and she reads his mind on regular basis, so that's saying something), but lack of Damianya's development means stagnant plot and mission.
And I see the only possible outcome for this dilemma - my guess is that Anya's gonna develop some sort of feelings for Damian, but not in romantic way. A whole another essay is how Anya reacts on fear, and the more dangerous situations they endure together (like in latest chapters) the stronger bond they gonna develop. So eventually, I think, we gonna see them as friends that share some hardcore experience with potential of becoming much more in the future (I think Damian is stubborn enough to convey his feelings to her someday, hehe) and there gonna be a lot of hints and suggestions without anything specific or concrete.
So we gonna see Damianya and a lot, just not in the, you know, active romantic relationship kind of way. I've seen enough of ships sailed down this road before - with shenanigans and blushing and implications and love, when all author had to do is to throw a bone here and there and fans did all the job themselves. Perfect example would be Fairy Tail's Natsu x Lucy I suddenly remembered few days ago about and now can't get them out of my head. More innocent case is Cardcaptor Sakura with an confession in last chapters and a sneak peak to the future. I'm sure there's a lot of other examples everyone of us can remember themselves.
So I wouldn't be that surprised if Damianya's gonna end that way.
A little bit pissed but not surprised at all.
I do wonder how endo will develop damianya. Anya just does not seem to be attracted to damian. She has the opposite of his shoujo filter, seeing him as more stupid and snotty than he actually is, and she’s not nervous around him at all. And for a meta reason, becky ships them. It’s done for comedy, and the entire point of the joke is that she’s *wrong,* anya does *not* like damian and is just getting closer to him for the mission. Anya also doesn’t seem to care about this kind of stuff. She doesn’t get becky’s obsession with soap operas. So I can see this going a few ways:
-There is a (hopefully short) time skip so that anya will be a bit more mature and can be self aware enough so that it doesn’t seem unnatural that she’s thinking about attraction. This seems unlikely though because anya at her current age and mentality is one of the main draws of the series.
-No development for a while, just the status quo of “damian pines after anya but hides it because he’s tsundere and anya doesn’t feel too strongly about him” and at the very end of the series we get aged-up damianya crumbs. This seems unlikely because twilight’s mission will impact damian a lot, and he doesn’t seem like he would be relegated to a side character like that.
-Damianya doesn’t happen. Anya is not attracted to Damian, possibly because she’s too aro for this shit. This also seems unlikely though because although I said damian doesn’t seem like a side character, he’s also not a main character. While people definitely empathize with his sad family situation, most of the audience is only interested in him because he’s connected to anya. You don’t see a lot of lone damian fanart, just damianya. The one redeeming factor is the absolute goldmine of angst inherent to the relationship where damian’s like “I sure am glad that I’ve finally found *someone* who isn’t just interested in me because of the desmond name or my father” and anya’s like “haha I know right”
-The damianya relationship develops and anya does become attracted to damian. I find it hard to imagine an anya who would think things like “why does my heart beat faster when I’m around sy-on boy?” It clashes with her vibes of “if you tried to read her mind you would see static.” I would love to be proven wrong on Sunday bc damianya is cute as hell. Actually please be proven wrong. Now that I’ve spent time writing this whole thing, the universe will surely spit in my face by making damianya happen, right?

Looky looky! Guess who's back! It's me, your SSS So that last answer of yours really gave me some insight for your gift! I'm so excited to start working on it! So tell me about your ships. What are some of your favorite shows, movies, songs, actors, that kind of thing? When reading a fic, what do you look for? Do you prefer canon, or an AU? If you like AUs, what kind do you like? Your Sherlolly Secret Santa XOXO
First of all, I'm a bit sorry, because I've just gone to see The Last Jedi so my dashboard is probably going to be more full now and you're going to have to do some digging to find you answers, maybe. :(
My ships.... I have a shortage of free time so I don't get around to watching a lot of stuff, so my ship list is perhaps a bit small. I like sherlolly, of course. I just love Molly Hooper so much, she's such an unusual character because she's quiet and unassuming and these kinds of characters almost never get the romantic tension with the lead? They're usually the butt of jokes, like in season one, not the one they say I Love You to at the big show finale! So that was nice. I love them, and the fandom is absolutely lovely, too, I've actually made some really good friends. (I also totally love anything I’ve read where someone has shipped Molly with Irene! Molly is just one of those lovely characters that you don’t even care who she’s with as long as she’s happy, and f/f ships never get enough love)
I really like Benedict Cumberbatch so watch all the movies he's in, lol. Khan was an awesome character and I think that was when I went over the deep end and became a hardcore fan. My sherlolly friends wrote an awful lot of crack fic working in Molly into Star Trek and I loved reading it!
It’s Star Wars season now and I’m super into that. I love all the characters so much, and I ship reylo. I also love Marvel movies. Loki is my favourite character (can you tell I kind of have a thing for complicated villains) and I don’t really have any specific ships, except maybe Steve Rogers with anyone at all really, because he is just a peach.
Hum I think that’s the big ones anyways. I like little smaller things from little non-existent fandoms, like for instance characters from the new Alien movie that came out? and crazy old things cause I’m crazy old now too (like, I still really like my Sailor Moon ships, you know???)
I like lots of things anyways, lots of sci fi and fantasy, and anything very visual or whimsical. I’m excited as hell to see The Shape of Water when it finally comes out here because Guillermo Del Toro is my current favourite director and that movie looks like it’s right exactly up my alley.
Hm I don’t know. If that doesn’t give you some ideas just ask some more.
Fics fics fics. Man I love fics. I have said before that honestly, for some shows, the main attraction for me now has become the fandom. The actual show is just the jumping off point and what I really like is the fandom, all the discussion with other people, and seeing all the things other fans do with it, the way they fix issues or explore alternatives or flesh things out. I have a pretty balanced fic diet, I like to read a variety of stuff. For some reason I seem to not enjoy modern day Star Wars AU settings and I don’t know why. Everything else is pretty fair game.
I especially love reading, like, royal fairytale AU settings or victorian AU settings, I don’t know, I guess it’s just the interesting social conventions, but I love it. Sherlolly lends itself so well to victorian-setting stories, I have read *so many* of those, and the lovely sherlolly writers have written some absolutely amazing stuff. Soulmate AUs are another cheesy tropey thing that I have a lot of fondness for.
Thank you for the ask! Let me know if you need more info! :D

I'm just wondering. I know by reading your blog you ship many pairing in tsukiuta and tsukipro but I'm just wondering if there and ship or pairing you dislike in general. Something like a pairing other people ship that you don't particularly ship or like.
Judai: Hmmm.. I don’t have any pairing I dislike but there are pairs that I don’t ship like:
• Shiki and Rikka (It feels like I’m betraying Tsubasa and Dai. Lol)• Sora and Soshi (Mori is the only one for Sora…. Well, in my opinion. Lol)• Any Hajime pair except with Shun (HajiShun is really my OTP and Shun is really the only one I totally like as Hajime’s lover. Lol)• Shun and Kai (I see them as the father and daughter duo. Lol)• Kou with anyone except for Mamoru and vice versa (I’m really a hardcore KouMamo fan)
I guess only those?
I usually don’t pair my OTPs with other characters….
Well, except for Shun. I can see the appeal in pairing Shun with You, Yoru, Arata or Iku.
But I’m a hardcore HajiShun, ShikiTsuba, KouMamo and MoriSora fan.
But it doesn’t mean I dislike those pairs I listed above. To anyone who likes those ships, I respect you. *bows*
Almost forgot… Thank you for the ask, Anon-san! *bows* I hope I was able to meet your expectation.
- Judai

I have a question I've been wanting to ask you for awhile, but I'm here on anon because I don't want you to stop being friends with me if I can't get through to you. What's your problem with fujos? Do you know what that word actually means, or have you been told the problematic and wrong definition that people keep trying to force that word to have? I call myself a fujo and I have never done anything that you seem to think fujos do, but I'm not sure if you'd still want to be friends with me
hey! totally cool you asked on anon
my problem w/ fujos is mostly from experience. ive had to deal with some old friends who would use the term to describe themselves. it was a pretty toxic experience so i guess there's a small bias there bc of that.
however i don't dislike all fujoshis, mostly the hardcore ones that will argue over their ships.
As for definition, I just think of it as a girl/woman who regularly enjoys boy x boy content. not in a hardcore way bc then what would the word 'hardcore' even be used for?
if there was a term to describe hardcore boy x boy fans then yeah, I would use that instead of fujoshi. y'know?
ive just seen a lot of straight girls just.. fetishize mlm relationships and it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. maybe that's why I get a little sour whenever I hear someone use the word
But, I know all people aren't like that so I definitely shouldve explained my problem with them sooner since i. put it on my profile out of nowhere.. my bad.
look bottom line is:
ive had bad experiences w/ fujos. I mainly dislike hardcore fujoshis who will argue and force their ideals onto others. if you are a fujo and don't do this, then i don't mind you calling urself one.
if you do something that's obviously immoral in the name of 'yaoi' then just...don't talk to me.
sorry for not clearing that up.
hope we can still be friends <3
feel free to dm me and we can talk it out

i totally get why you can't "ship" petyr x sansa due to hardcore staning sansa lol i don't ship petyr/sansa on sansa's part either. i'm more into the idea of the ship because i love petyr and want to see him vulnerable... which i think sansa makes him. it's hard for me to explain lol like its not good or healthy for sansa (hello, he helped betray her father) but i like that this dark twisted character gets caught up in another unrequited love and finally has a weakness.
I get that! My love for Sansa plays into a lot of debates/concepts in this fandom.
I really don’t like littlefinger at the moment, I never have, but that kind of storyline instead of being this creepy, inappropriate, selfish and seeming predator (he was in love with her mother..) would certainly set his character on the path to me liking/respecting him. But who am I kidding? We only have 13 episodes left, I just hope whatever his storyline is (when it comes to a close) it’s rewarding and worthwhile and satisfying as we’ve been watching him as a complex character all these years.
A few years back, when I was younger, I shipped Dany x Drogo, quickly forgetting he raped her (’bc of love!’ and how it was romanticized later on) but when I read the books and re-watched the show and as I aged and matured, I started watching GoT when I was a teenager, there’s many moral barriers I have slowly built.
That means I can’t find myself shipping Dany and Drogo, Jaime and Cersei, Sansa and the hound or Sansa and Petyr. The only one ship I can stretch to is maybe Jon x Dany (as cliched as it sounds), because that’s where it looks to be going, because it’s very diluted incest - which isn’t something I stand by, but in the asoiaf world, it’s one of the best you can hope for - and they don’t have any connection (see each-other as a brother/sister/father figure) and most probably wouldn’t know they were related until they were ‘in too deep’ something I’m guessing is gonna happen from the amount of spoilers whether some of them are true or false.
I hope this was a satisfying enough answer! And it was nice to understand why you ship what you ship. It does give me a better understanding of ships (even if I don’t ship them) and shows your maturity in this fandom where it’s mostly Jonsa shippers (that’s another ship I can’t get behind - sorry) vs Jonerys shippers.
If any of my followers are confused: I’m a hardcore/border-line obsessive game of thrones fan, and I answer and welcome almost anything on my mostly based Riverdale blog.
