The More You Ignore Me, The Closer I Get
kai parker x bonnie bennett | requested
summary: bonnie just had to send her magic away in a teddy bear, consequently trapping herself in the prison world with only kai as company. and if that wasn't bad enough, the longer she spends with him, the less she starts to hate him. though it would be a cold day in hell before she ever admits that to his face...
tags: enemies to lovers, 1994 prison world, wet dreams, threats & violence (kai being kai), minor alcohol use, choking, kidnapping, arguments, making out, fingering, blowjobs, hair pulling, vaginal sex, hate sex (but they secretly like each other 😉 )

n/a: kind of a bonnie pov, but not really. to the anon who requested it, i hope you like!! and sorry it took so long. also, i'm really bad at slow burn bc i'm impatient, so i hope i drew it out enough. and one more comment, i'm not sure if you wanted this much smut, but i read 'switch' in the request and my mind went wild. furthermore, if you want a part 2 with damon involved, since he was partially included in your request, i can do my best on that (psst i have ideas) ;)

It would’ve been easier to just do the stupid spell and deal with Kai back in the present world. She could’ve thought up a plan to trap and kill him with her friends’ help, instead of doing it by herself, eighteen years in the past. But no. When the second attempt to escape the prison world was made, Bonnie decided to send her magic away where she nor Kai could have it. And now they’re stuck there. Together. Forever.
A big part of her curses herself for that decision. Her only chance, and she blew it to prevent him from gaining access to his remaining siblings. He’d kill them in a second if he found them, he’s promised that to her. Though at the same time, Bonnie knows his siblings. In fact, Liv pretended to not understand her magic just to gain Bonnie’s trust. She and Luke may stand a good chance against Kai if he were to escape. After all, he has no magic of his own, and has never been taught much of anything. So why didn’t she just let them return to 2013, and then they could all form a plan against Kai together?
She puts her head in her hands, sighing. Upstairs, she can hear the shower running. A chance to run; to find new magic. Kai isn’t a vampire, he’s just a magic-less witch with a vengeance. Klaus was an original vampire with a vengeance, and Bonnie could take him.
Curiosity, her brain supplies.
Bonnie looks up, as if the voice had come from someone else in the room.
Nope, she hears, just you.
There is no one else here. There is the boy in the shower, and there is her. No one to help; no one to hear her scream. No one to judge you, she hears again. She shakes her head.
“No reason I’d be judged,” she replies out loud. She’s definitely going crazy. Talking to the voices in her head? And they are responding.
Except for one, it says. Your curiosity.
“The only curiosity I have is how I’m going to get out of here.”
Which is entirely your fault. You had an out; you sent it away. To protect Luke and Liv? They almost killed Elena. They can handle themselves.
“Kai is different,” she mutters.
Different, yes, But not in the way you’re thinking. Klaus was a monster, too. Damon, Stefan, Silas, Katherine, they were all killers. You’ve fought and won against them all at some point. But you don’t want to fight Kai. You don’t want to leave this prison world, because you don’t want to lose his company yet.
“Fucking insane.” She fills a glass of water and chugs it. Sleep deprivation is one hell of a mindfuck.
You’re not sleep deprived, Bonnie. In fact, this prison world offers the best sleep you’ve had in years. Your nightmares have stopped, since your friends no longer burden you with all their problems.
“Stop.”
Might I say, you even have dreams now. Dreams of your mother, where you’ve thanked her for the peace. Dreams of simple mornings, of sipping coffee in silence. And let’s not forget the dreams of pleasure, focused on the only other person occupying this world. You don’t really want to leave, do you?
Bonnie slams her hand down on the table. “I said stop!” The voices hush at once, but the damage has already been done.
She’s tried everything to forget that dream. It haunts her in all the best ways at the worst times. She bites her tongue so hard that it bleeds.
Wetness pools from her core as a dull sensation builds. She holds back a moan, not wanting to give him the satisfaction.
“Come on, we’re the only two people here. No one can hear you. Let it out.”
Two weeks ago, that would’ve been a threat. Two weeks ago, the boy between her legs had his hands around her throat as he whispered menaces in her ear. Then, somehow, in the two weeks since Bonnie’s sent her magic away, a thread has snapped between the two. It started with a glare. Kai’s eyes burned into her from behind, but softened when hers met his own. He wanted to hate her; wished he could kill her, but he couldn’t do either.
Bonnie had thoughts similar to his racing through her head. She numbed them with alcohol, and tried to not remember the feeling of his lips touching the lobe of her ear that one day in the car. But with every sip, her body heated up more, and when their fingers grazed as she passed him a glass, all hell broke loose.
She kissed him first, and once he realized what was happening, he didn’t let her go. He pushed her up against the wall and let his hands explore her body. Pants of exhaustion tumbled from both their lips whenever they separated for a breath of air. It wasn’t long before they wanted more, though, and her hips were hoisted onto his waist. Kai then took her up to his bed and made himself comfortable between her legs.
Pleasure flooded her body. Bonnie would’ve never have thought he would be as good with his tongue for anything else other than talking her ear off. Her hands pull at his hair as she comes close to her high. Way too quickly, she thought, but then again, it had been awhile since she’d been touched like that.
“Come on, we’re the only two people here. No one can hear you. Let it out,” he was saying.
But then Bonnie woke up suddenly to the clashing of pots and pans from the kitchen below.
“Sorry!” Kai’s voice carried through the mansion.
She slumped back on the bed, trying to remember the dream she was having. It was hot, like a summer day, but all the heat was trapped between two bodies. She was out of breath, and holding back a moan. A boy was in her bed, tangled in her sheets, lapping at her core.
Her blood runs cold.
Kai.
She could picture it perfectly. Hands that have held her by the throat, and have gripped her arms so tightly they’ve bruised, were holding down her hips. The tongue that blabbers on and on was finally put to another use.
Bonnie shook her head, disgusted in herself. She needed a shower, needed to change her sheets, needed a walk to clear her head. She pulled herself out of bed and grabbed the edge of the sheets to pull them off, when she noticed something else.
A wet spot, right underneath where she had been laying.
She hadn’t come yet in her dream, but the images were vivid enough that she did in her sleep. She swallows, unsure of herself. It’s hard to deny the fact that it felt good, and she craved it almost more than anything else, but never would she admit out loud that she had a wet dream of Kai Parker. And liked it.
The memory ends, leaving Bonnie alone at the kitchen table. The shower is still running, indicating Kai was still upstairs. Upstairs, by his bedroom, bare. She cursed her head for the thought. No, she could not think of him like that. Kai was a monster, no different from Klaus. A dream is just a dream. It doesn’t mean anything.
Still, the thoughts don’t leave her head. Biting her tongue doesn’t distract her from the memory, so she makes her way to Damon’s 1994 stash of liquor. Whiskey? No, whiskey is what she poured when Kai had asked for one too. Gin? No, gin reminds her of Liv, the girl she’s trying to protect by trapping herself down here with Kai. But rum? That’s safe.
“Ooh, what are you drinking?” Comes his voice as she pours herself a glass. Of course.
“Rum.”
“Tropical.”
“Do you want one or not?”
“Are you offering?” He stares into her eyes. Unable to hold his gaze, she drops her eyes down to the edge of his lip. There’s a cut in the left side that she always notices, and today, she decides to focus on it. “I’m kidding. Sure.”
Bonnie quickly brings her attention back to the glass and pours him one. Her breath hitches when she hands it to him. Their fingers touch ever so gently.
“Y’know, I was wondering, what kind of shows do they have in 2013? Is Jerry Springer still on?”
Glad for the change in mood, Bonnie nods. “Yep, still a thing.”
“Huh. Do you watch it?”
“Not particularly. It’s kind of a ‘watch if it’s the only thing on’ kind of deal.”
“Ah. My mom used to put it on all the time. She would threaten to send my little siblings on there if they couldn’t work out their problems.”
Bonnie laughs before she can stop herself. Kai’s gaze snaps to her instantly, dimples forming on his cheeks as he smiles at the fact he made her laugh. A passing thought in her head mutters how cute they are, but then she comes to the realization of the thought. Not cute. Nothing about Kai is cute.
“Did she ever threaten to put you on there?”
He takes a deep breath. “Mom and I never shared jokes like that. My version of it was my dad threatening to shut my mouth with tape.”
“Oh,” she replies, genuinely shocked.
“That or withholding meals. Lock me in my room with a spell. Put a silencing spell so I couldn’t disturb them. And ignore me for days. Not like I was stupid enough to disturb them, because that would just make it worse, but he liked to use magic on me to remind me I didn’t have any. As if I could forget.”
Bonnie swallows hard.
“Ooh, definitely sharing too much. Think I’m going to finish this glass of rum elsewhere. If you need me, BonBon, I’ll be in my room.”
She watches him leave in silence.
Whiskey. Kisses. It was all a dream.
Rum. Revelations. Now, she didn’t know what to think.
As time passes, tensions increase. Bonnie tries to forget her dream and the tidbit of memory Kai had shared. Kai, on the other hand, tries to forget he overshared, while ignoring the dull ache in his heart to get closer to her. In a few days’ time, so much energy is put into their mutual need to ignore each other that they almost forget the task at hand.
That is, until Kai comes to a conclusion on which he needs Bonnie’s opinion. The girl sending her magic away suddenly reminded him of his sister doing the same. So, somewhere on the property of his childhood home, there may be magic stored. His heart leaps with the hope of getting out of the prison world, and he quickly maps out a plan to get to Portland.
Though before he can go anywhere, he needs to convince the girl to go with him. Let’s rephrase that, he needs to make his hometown appealing enough to get Bonnie to come with him in his retrieval of Jo’s magic. Then he needs, for a third time, to try to convince Bonnie to let them go home.
Because, truth be told, Kai would hate to leave the girl here alone. He knows what it’s like to spend every day in solitude for years, and even with his lack of empathy, can’t do that to her. Besides, it would be a lie if he said he hadn’t come to like her just a little. Her company is nice, and she’s undeniably pretty. Pretty badass, too, which turns him on more than he’d like to admit.
So, one day as she’s coming back from the supermarket, he approaches her with the topic.
“We need to leave Mystic Falls.”
Bonnie turns from the cabinet to face him, nose crinkled in disgust. “Why? We’re fine here. Where would we even go?”
“Doesn’t matter where, but I thought of a place where we could find magic. Since y’know, you put yours away in a bear.”
“Yeah, I did that so you couldn’t get out. Why would I go with you to get more?”
Kai crosses the kitchen to close the distance between them. He could reach out and touch her now. “Because we both want out of here, Bonnie. Don’t tell me you like it here.”
“Of course I don’t. But you out would be hell on earth. I’m trying to prevent another mass murder.”
His eyes darken. “I told you, I’ve changed. I-”
“I don’t believe you.”
“Then what do you expect to do for the rest of your life locked up in here? Are you really going to sacrifice your own happiness to keep me here? Because I’ll find a way out. I’ll find a way out, and I will leave you here if I have to.”
“You need me for the spell. You’re not going anywhere.”
“What makes you think I won’t just steal your blood, memorize the spell, and get out? If you want to see your friends again, it’ll be with me.”
“I’d rather die than let that happen. It’s not your lack of magic that makes you an abomination, Kai, it’s you.”
The last comment pushes him too far. Bonnie realizes it the moment it leaves her lips. In an instant, his hands are around her throat, tightening just enough to render her unconscious. The girl grips his wrists, but feels her hold weakening.
“Kai,” she begs, “let me go.”
“Say you’ll go with me.”
“No.”
“Say it!”
“I won’t let you out!”
“I didn’t want to do this,” he warns. Before she can question him, darkness starts to cloud her vision. In a matter of seconds, her body goes limp.
⁕⁕⁕⁕
The next time Bonnie wakes up, she realizes the ground beneath her is moving. Though as soon as it hits her that she’s in the trunk of a car, the car comes to a halt. Bonnie hears the ignition turn off and the door shut before coming in direct contact with the sun. She squints, but then the view is blocked by Kai smiling down at her.
“Morning, sunshine. Well, evening, actually.”
“What did you do to me?”
“Relax. You just took a little nap for our flight.”
“Flight? Where are we, Kai?”
“Portland.”
She cringes, “why?”
“It’s where we’re gonna find magic.”
“And why exactly would-”
“It’s where I grew up. I would’ve let you sit in the passenger seat for the trip here, but since you refused to go, I needed to resort to more forceful methods.”
Bonnie rolls her eyes. “As if I’d willingly go with you. Also, I told you. I am not helping you get any more magic.”
“We’ll see about that, BonBon. For now,” he takes a couple steps towards his house, “come on. I’m cooking you dinner.”
“You’re not bribing me to help you,” she says, following him anyway.
“Not a bribe, Bonnie, I just thought you’d be hungry.” At the same time, her stomach growls, betraying her. Kai smiles. “See?”
The girl just rolls her eyes a second time and goes inside the house.
As it turns out, Kai isn’t a bad cook. In fact, he’s really good. Not like Bonnie would ever admit that, though. She didn’t want to eat his food, but the hunger soon overtakes her pride and she gives into it. To her shock and thankfulness, Kai doesn’t comment on this decision. He lets her eat in peace while enjoying his own plate.
“So,” she starts, halfway through her meal, “what’s your plan after bringing me all the way out here?”
Kai swirls wine in a glass and takes a sip before answering. “Find Jo’s magic. Steal it. Go home. Thought that was obvious.”
“And where exactly is her magic being stored?”
“Not sure, I’ll have to find it.”
“Well you can have a fun time doing that. I’m leaving after this.”
The boy tenses. “No you’re not. You’re going to get us out of here the minute I find it.”
She laughs in disbelief. “We’re still having this conversation? Get it through your head, Kai, I am not letting you out of here. I don’t care if you cook for me, I don’t care what you do, you’re staying in this damn prison world.”
Suddenly, he grabs her wrist. His grip is tight, knuckles going white. Bonnie jumps in her seat.
“Ouch! That hurts, Kai. Let go of me!”
“You’re not leaving this house until we find my sister’s magic.”
“Let go of my arm!”
He loosens his grip, but doesn’t let go completely. Bonnie stares down at his fingers curled around her. The cool metal of his rings contrasts his flushed skin. Her mind starts to wander…
“I don’t want to hurt you,” he says slowly, “but I will if you keep refusing to help me. The only person you’re hurting is yourself.”
Her mind is snapped from its dark place. “Here’s an idea: I’ll help you find Jo’s knife, and then we go our separate ways.”
“That doesn’t make sense, I need your blood for the spell. The knife is no good if I don’t have you.”
“Too bad. Guess you’ll have to find me.”
According to Kai’s mind numbing ranting while Damon was still here, the prison world is exactly like the real world, except it’s a dimension frozen in time. But if Bonnie can escape, she can go to any state, any country, and Kai would have to find her. Sure, he could do a locator spell, but he’ll run out of siphoned magic quickly and won’t have any more. It’s a perfect plan, she thinks, to escape him and his demands to be freed.
Besides, Bonnie has a feeling he’ll love the hunt. There’s no way he’d deny this.
Kai seems to consider this. “Fine. We find the knife, and I’ll let you go.”
“Good.” Proud of herself, she stabs a piece of meat on her fork and eats it happily. She misses the storm clouds coming into his eyes. He doesn’t eat anymore after that.
At the end of dinner, both make their beds in separate areas of the house. Bonnie takes to Jo’s old room and Kai curls up on the couch. Just before she retreats to go to sleep, the boy stops her in her tracks. He corners her up against the wall, close enough that his breath hits her neck.
“Just so you know, I’m a light sleeper. If I hear you trying to break our deal and escape, you’ll regret it.”
Bonnie returns him a stone cold expression. “Figures. But I won’t.” She holds her breath in the presence of his.
“See you in the morning, BonBon.”
⁕⁕⁕⁕
Three days go by of the two searching the huge house for Jo’s knife. It is a cause that seems lost to Bonnie, yet she knows Kai won’t give up until he has magic again. So, she continues to look. Besides, if she goes to Kai about it, he’ll grab her again, and she would really like to avoid another close confrontation with him.
It’s too much risk to piss him off. He gets too close; too physical. And Bonnie should be afraid when he’s like this, but the more and more that it happens, she finds herself sweating in anticipation. The dark parts of her mind rise back to the surface. Memories of her dream, of his hands on her body, and his head between her legs, play on repeat. She wonders if it will always be a dream, or if one of these days, they’ll give into their mutual need.
No. It’s just a dream, she reminds herself. And Kai doesn’t need anything, except apparently an escape from this place. Still… she can’t help the thought. To not touch another person for twenty years? I wonder if he’s ever-
“Any luck?”
For once in her life, Bonnie’s grateful to hear Kai’s voice cut through her thoughts.
“No,” she replies, “no luck in three days.”
“It’s here. I know it is. Jo didn’t have any magic when we tried to merge. She stashed it somewhere.”
“Maybe she took it back after you were gone.”
Kai thinks about this, but then shakes his head. “She wouldn’t have. She’s probably never touched it again.”
“Maybe your father hid it somewhere. Does this place have an attic? Or a basement?”
“Both, yeah.”
“You take one, I’ll take the other.” Bonnie puts a finger up to his face. “But don’t even consider locking me in there.”
“Promise I won’t. You can trust me.” He winks.
She glares at him. “Hard to believe that.”
But to their dismay, an entire day of searching both turns up nothing. Bonnie returns to Jo’s room once again.
That night, her thoughts from earlier in the day come back to haunt.
In her dream, she’s in her room while Kai’s in his. Her fingers ghost over her body as she eases herself into a mood. It’s not like there’s much to do in the prison world, so as long as she’s quiet, he’ll never know.
However, she barely touches herself before a groan carries from down the hall. Curious, Bonnie rises from her bed and makes her way to the only other occupied room. Her eyes go wide at the sight beyond the door. There is Kai, eyes squeezed shut and hips working against a pillow. He’s on his bed, no mind paid to the crack through the door.
Somehow, the siphon doesn’t realize her presence. He must be too close to hear anything else.
The thought alone makes her body warm. Bonnie’s hand then finds its way under her pajama pants. A sigh escapes her slightly parted lips. It still doesn’t disrupt Kai from his own feat.
For a short time, she watches him while touching herself. She watches how he speeds up, then slows back down; how he sometimes lets out little pants, but at other times, full-blown moans.
“Kai,” she finds herself whispering. “Oh.”
He doesn’t stop. Not until he reaches his high and comes down from it. As he surveys his bed for the mess he’s made, his eyes snap up to the girl peeking through his door. In an instant, his face turns pink with embarrassment. Kai Parker embarrassed. It makes Bonnie come on the spot.
“What are you-?”
“Let’s not talk about this,” she breathes out heavily.
“But-”
Bonnie wakes up in a cold sweat, panting, and feeling out of place. Her eyes dart around the room before she realizes she’s still in her bedroom. Well, Jo’s bedroom, in Portland, in 1994. She sighs, feeling disgusted in herself once again. She needs to get away from Kai. Needs to stop having these dreams; needs to stop secretly wanting him. It all needs to stop.
Slowly, she rises from her bed to fetch a coffee. Coffee makes everything better. It’ll clear her mind and wake her up so she can continue looking for that stupid knife. Find the knife, and she can get away from him. Just find the stupid knife.
When she gets downstairs, though, Kai’s already in the kitchen.
“Morning,” he greets, voice gravelly. If she has to hear his morning voice one more time, she’s going to lose it. “Sleep well?”
“Fine. You?”
“Only fine?”
“I’m still here, aren’t I?”
“Hm. For some reason it sounded much better from where I was.”
“What?”
“Did you dream well?”
“No. In fact, I’ve only had nightmares since arriving in this hell.”
“Odd. ‘Cause I could’ve sworn I heard otherwise this morning.”
“Maybe you just heard yourself.” Her heartbeat quickens, and Bonnie thanks the highest power alive that Kai’s not a vampire.
“Maybe. But I’m pretty sure it was you. Pretty sure I don’t moan my own name.”
Her blood runs cold. “I didn’t-”
Kai stares at her and her words falter. “Is someone else here, then? Don’t think that’d be from the ghosts of my siblings. Only people here are you and me.”
Kai mentioning his siblings almost kills her mood, but his look revives it just as fast. Straightening, she fakes confidence. “You made me have that dream. Manipulated it.”
The boy chuckles, “I literally have no magic, Bonnie. That’s why we’re here, actually, if you don’t remember. I have no magic to manipulate your dreams. You thought of me all on your own.”
“I-” she stammers, “you-” she takes a deep breath. “It doesn’t matter. I still hate you. I will never like you, and nothing like that will ever happen. I’m just… tired of being in here.”
A flash of hurt crosses his eyes, but he blinks it away quickly. “Whatever. I’m going to check the basement again, in case you didn’t look hard enough yesterday.”
Bonnie didn’t miss the look, but she doesn’t understand why he would have it. He hates her just as much as she hates him. She scoffs at his comment, then disappears to the attic. If he asks, she’ll just retort that he didn’t look hard enough, either.
⁕⁕⁕⁕
Days pass the same as they have been. Though if it’s even possible, the two ignore each other even more. They stay on opposite sides of the house and only come in the same room for dinner. Kai cooks each night, for which she’s thankful, but refuses to actually thank him. Part of her is still pissed about him bringing up the dream, making her a little embarrassed every time she remembers the conversation.
You’re the one that moaned his name, the voice in her head says, you can’t be mad at him for bringing it up.
Shut up, she replies to it, it's common decency not to talk about that stuff.
The voice begs to differ. It argues that the rules are different when you’re the only two people in an entire world.
⁕⁕⁕⁕
Bonnie’s growing restless each second that they can’t find the knife. She’s growing comfortable around Kai, and she hates the thought. The boy has been cooking for her, giving her space, and hasn’t threatened her ever since she backed off of him. Another couple months, and maybe they could have a Damon-level of banter between them. Wait…
Hell. No.
She will not be in Portland in a couple months. She’ll be far from Kai Parker and his crazy childhood home. She will not spend every day of her miserable time in the prison world wondering where he is, or what he’s doing. She will be far away, relaxing on a beach somewhere, while he angrily tries to find her.
That was the plan. That will continue to be the plan. That is-
“Bonnie!”
The girl scoffs. Will she ever have a train of thought that he doesn’t interrupt? “What?”
“I found it!”
Excitement shoots through her spine. She stands from her spot on the floor and follows his voice to the kitchen. There, on the table, is Jo’s knife. Rusty, but still sharp.
“Where-?”
“Outside. Y’know, I can’t believe I didn’t think of this before, but Jo had run outside after sending the twins out, and I guess she stashed the knife somewhere there. Turns out, it was in that old tree stump in the yard. Huh.”
Bonnie stares at it for a second. “So you have your knife. I can go now.”
Kai bites his lip.
“We had a deal.”
“You really don’t want to live here alone, Bonnie, I-”
The girl picks up the knife and points it at him in an instant. “We had a deal. You let me go. Right. Now.”
“Bonnie-” he reaches for her, but she blocks him with the blade.
“I’m serious.”
“Put it down.”
“No.”
“Fine. Put it down, and you can go.”
“I don’t trust you!”
Kai takes a step forward. Bonnie doesn’t move the knife, pointed back at his stomach, even as he makes another step.
“I promise, you can go. I just… I know what it’s like here, being all alone, and I don’t want you to go through that.”
“You don’t care about me. You don’t care about anyone.”
“I do care, Bon,” he whispers, “I care enough that I don’t want you feeling the way I have for eighteen years. It’s fun the first few, when you get to travel and see everything, but then it hits you that you’re never going home. You’ll never see another person again. You’ll lose hope, and you’ll lose the will to live, but you can’t die. I’ve been there. I’m trying to help you.”
“I don’t want your help. Being alone is better than letting you out.”
“Please don’t go.” He takes another step toward her. The tip of the blade makes contact with his shirt. “I promise I won't hurt you, just don’t go. I don’t want to be alone anymore, and you don’t want to know what it’s like to be here alone.”
“I hate you,” she spits, pressing the knife into him until it hits his skin.
“I know. You should. I haven’t given you a reason to like me. But I’m begging you. Don’t go.”
“I give you this knife, and you let me go. Don’t stab me in the back, don’t keep begging.”
Kai swallows hard. “Okay.”
Slowly, she hands it to him. Bonnie watches as he puts it on the table. She’s surprised. She expected him to immediately stab her or siphon from it. Instead, he just watches her take a step backward, then another. Then-
“Bonnie-”
“No.”
He shuts his mouth. Clouds return to his eyes. Baby blues darken as a storm approaches. He won’t cry; Kai hasn’t cried since he was seven, but he will feel the stinging pain in his stomach at the loss of her company. The dryness at the back of his throat when the hopelessness returns.
Bonnie makes her way out the door without another peep from him. She stands on the porch, waiting to see if he’ll come out, but after a minute, there’s nothing. The girl sighs in relief as she takes in the feeling of being free.
Free.
Free from his threats, his tight grip, his anger. Free from the heavy weight of his crimes; crimes he’ll acknowledge but won’t feel bad for committing. Free from his stupid jokes and the winks he always gives her. Free from his cooking and his company. She’ll be alone. Completely, utterly alone.
She gulps at the thought.
Kai, meanwhile, stares at the knife before him. It’s technically his knife, the one he used to stab Jo in the first place, but then Jo put her magic in it, and it became known as his sister’s knife. Kai picks up the blade, feeling it in his hands, and siphons just a little bit to feel its strength. He revels in the energy it gives him. The last time he felt that strong was when he took Bonnie’s magic to show her his ability.
Bonnie, who just walked out the door to spend an eternity alone, rather than be with him.
Bonnie, who just slammed the front door.
“I hate you!” She yells from the foyer.
“I didn’t say anything!” Kai defends himself.
The girl stomps back into the kitchen, face unreadable. “Yeah, but I heard you breathing. All I’ve heard all day, all week, all month, is the sound of you breathing. That, or you talking. Talking, or cooking. That is all you do, and I hate it!”
Kai stares at her. Whatever mixed emotions she’s feeling, he doesn’t understand any of them. “Um-”
“I just want to be alone, just leave me alone! Actually, no, I don’t want to be alone, because this prison world is a hell, and I will go crazy if I am alone. But, as it turns out, you’re my only company. And I’m sick of it, and I’m sick of hearing your breathing, and seeing those stupid rings on your fingers, and hearing your voice in the morning when you’ve just woken up. And I’m sick of your cooking, and your dedication to it, and how it’s actually good. Oh! And I’m also sick of having these stupid dreams about you, too. I don’t know why my brain won’t think of anyone else at three in the morning, but I’ve lost sleep over not wanting to dream, so I haven’t slept in a couple of days, and maybe that’s why I’m at my breaking point right now! Because I don’t want to sleep, because I don’t want you creeping in my dreams. I hate you, Kai, I’m running out of words to describe it.”
“So-, why-, um-” the boy doesn’t have any words, either. “So, uh, why are you still here?”
“Because I need to get my anger out, and you’re the only other person here.”
“Okay?”
Kai expects Bonnie to hit him. A punch to the stomach or a slap to the face, either one, he anticipates. What he did not expect was for her to kiss him.
But in fact, when the girl storms up to stand a mere inch from his face, she grabs his cheeks and kisses him.
“You are so annoying,” she mutters, staring up at him. “I need you.”
This time, when she kisses him, he kisses her right back. Bonnie doesn’t fight him. Instead, she grabs the back of his neck to pull him closer, presses her body to his, and deepens it. Kai’s hands then find her waist before he backs her up to the nearest wall. Just like in her first dream, he lifts her legs up to wrap around his, to which she complies immediately. In their new position, her pelvis is level with his hardening cock, and with every push of his body against hers, she feels his excitement.
“Kai,” she whispers his name. He recognizes the tone as the one she whispers in her sleep.
“Hm?”
“More.” She runs a hand through his hair roughly. “Take me. Please.”
Those words are all he needs to lay her down on the nearest couch. As soon as her head hits the pillow, he’s stripping her of her clothes. Bonnie tears his shirt off his head, then begins to fumble with his belt.
“How many times have you dreamed of this, BonBon?”
She’s too needy to lie. “I’ve lost count.”
A smirk crosses the boy’s face, though it’s quickly replaced by something she’d never thought she’d see on him: empathy.
“I’ll take care of you, Bon. You’re good with me.” Kai wastes no time wetting his fingers with his tongue, then putting them on her clit. Bonnie’s back arches, and he supports her by slipping a hand underneath immediately. Their lips reconnect in a heated kiss.
As soon as she gets his pants undone, she makes a grab for his visible bulge. Kai being Kai, though, smacks her hand away.
“Not yet, princess. I’m still focused on you.” He distracts her by pushing his fingers into her core, pumping them in and out, and smirking at the squelching noises it makes. Bonnie moans, knowing she’s close to coming. Just like in her dream, again, it didn’t take long for her to reach her high. Kai fingers her throughout her orgasm, not relenting until her legs are shaking. He helps her onto her knees when she’s stable, and finally, does he then let her pull down his boxers.
“Kai.”
“Hm?”
“Stand,” she points to the side of the couch, “here.”
“Dominant, are we?
She gives him a glare. It’s playful, yet he knows she means business. That’s okay - Kai can work with both. He’s mostly dominant, but if he’s comfortable enough, he’ll gladly submit to her. Right now, he’s not willing to fully submit, but he’ll give into the girl’s demands a little if it’s what she needs.
The moment Kai stands where he was asked, Bonnie’s hands are gripping his cock. He lets out a moan at the feeling, and his hips involuntarily jerk forward. Bonnie keeps him where she wants him, though. Once he’s under her control, she puts her mouth on him. Her head bobs, taking his length deeper and deeper each time, until she can glide her lips smoothly along. Obscene grunts tumble from Kai’s lips. His hands bury in her hair, pulling at the roots. Bonnie doesn’t seem to mind, and in fact, her grip on his hips tightens so she can work better.
“Bon,” he stammers, “you’re- I’m-”
She stops as he speaks. No way is he coming before he fucks her. Kai catches on immediately, pushing her back onto the couch, and then crawling up her body. He aligns himself before pushing in slowly, filling her completely and comfortably in no time. He’s much gentler than Bonnie anticipated, but she’s not complaining. Though she bets he’s very capable of angry sex, as seen by his several meltdowns over the months. If she ever gets him in one of those moments, she’d surely be covered in love bites and bruises by the end.
Kai finds a good pace quickly, as indicated by Bonnie’s moans of pleasure. His hands grip her wrists, pinning her to the couch, while he leaves a trail of kisses along her neck. At first, the girl tries to fight for some control, but soon surrenders to the more dominant boy.
He clicks his tongue, cooing at her, promising he’ll take care of her.
A month ago, being under him like this would’ve been terrifying. But in their time together, she’s come to desire him a lot more than she wants to admit.
And seemingly, Kai feels the same way.
It isn’t long before she feels another high coming on - this one even more powerful than the last. With her bottom lip in between his teeth, and his cock buried deep enough inside her to form a bulge, her orgasm draws nearer by the second. Her breaths get shallow and she whimpers his name, pleading for release. Kai’s hold on her wrists loosen, as does the pace on his thrusts. He’s close, too.
More thrusts and moans finally tumble from the girl’s lips. She’s cracked first, but the feeling of her body convulsing at its climax tips him off the edge. He spills inside her before he can even consider pulling out, but neither care about that right now. The feelings of pleasure are overwhelming, after months, and for him, years, of not touching another person so intimately.
Their bodies meld together as he collapses on top of her. Her hands fly to his hair, twirling the ends between her fingertips, not wanting their moment to end. As soon as Kai regains his strength, he sits up so as to not crush her.
“Do you still hate me?” He asks, a tint of hopefulness in his voice that maybe she doesn’t.
“Yes.” His eyes fall to the floor. “But maybe there’s hope for you yet.”
Bonnie’s conflicted. She tells herself she still hates him, but deep down, knows she’s lying.
The two of them catch their breath for a while on that couch. Eventually, their clothes find their way back on their bodies, but they don’t leave each other’s companies just yet.
“Was that how your dream went?” He teases suddenly.
“No, actually, we never… the first time, you were getting there, but then actual you - not dream you - woke me up by dropping a pan in the kitchen.”
“Sorry-”
“And then another time, it was me eavesdropping your own private moment. Sorry about that. Others were shorter, with less time for mind wandering, but we never actually went all the way.”
His blue eyes meet her intensely. “Do you regret this?”
“No. We both needed it. We were driving each other crazy. Do you?”
“How could I? I’ve been curious about you since the day you and Damon got here.”
Bonnie looks at him, then at her hands in her lap. She isn’t sure how to reply to that.
Silence then befalls them once again. Dinner is quiet, few words are shared. There’s no mention of their moment again, but she can tell by his gaze that he’s fighting the urge to bring it up. She wonders what he would say, yet doesn’t prompt him to share.
⁕⁕⁕⁕
When she wakes up the next morning, Kai is already awake. The boy is at the kitchen table, fiddling with Jo’s knife in one hand and the ascendant in the other.
“What are you doing?” She asks, startling him.
“Just thinking.”
“You still want to go back after our time yesterday? We won’t be the only two people here anymore. I might never talk to you again.”
“Doesn’t matter. You’re leaving anyway. You said it yourself, you want to disappear to one end of the earth, and if I want out, I’ll have to find you. And though having to hunt you down would’ve been fun a couple years ago, I’m tired of being here. At least if I get out, I won’t be alone.”
For a minute, Bonnie considers taunting him. Telling him he’d be alone anyway, because no one in their right mind would want anything to do with him. But then his fingers glide along the edge of the blade. The same fingers that were buried inside her yesterday. The silver rings adorning them that match the lethal weapon. She sighs internally. Bonnie doesn’t want to be stuck in the prison world anymore than Kai does. Certainly, she doesn’t want to roam it alone.
Yesterday did something to her. The way he begged her not to leave. Promised her she would hate being alone, and urged her to stay with him. At the time, she thought being alone would be better than being with him. But then she kissed him. She kissed him, and he kissed back, and then he pleasured her and cared for her in ways she thought could only be dreams. Now she doesn’t know what to think about him. Her thoughts are jumbled, mind is confused, and heart is burdened.
You don’t hate him, that damn voice returns, in fact, you kinda actually like him.
“You are… leaving, right?” Kai asks in response to her silence.
The girl straightens. “I am. I’ve had enough of this prison world, and frankly, this house, and I need to get away from it.”
Kai looks up at the walls of his childhood home. He agrees to hating the house, but he has no clue where he’ll go next.
Bonnie, on the other hand, seems to know exactly where she’s going. She marches towards the front door, hand on the knob. Kai stares after her, questions on the edge of his tongue, but nothing coming off it.
“Aren’t you coming with me?”
He stands from his seat, confused, but follows her nonetheless. “Where are we going?”
“Home.”
“You’re gonna go back to Mystic Falls?” If Bonnie’s starting her escape now, why is she telling Kai where she’s going?
“Eventually. But hurry, or we’ll miss the eclipse.”
Her words take three whole seconds to sink in before the reality of the situation hits him. They’re going home. Truly home. Back to the present age - whatever that looks like.
So, with Jo’s knife strapped to his boot and the ascendant in his pocket, Kai follows Bonnie to the site beneath the eclipse. The clearing of trees he remembers all too well from eighteen years ago stand overhead. For a mere second, Kai wonders if it’s a trap. His eyes search hers, but he only finds a fierce determination.
“Aren’t you going to siphon that?”
His eyebrows furrow, but he does when she prompts him. “What changed your mind about letting me out?”
“For some reason, I’ve decided to trust you.” She cuts her palm. “Don’t betray it.”
“So you don’t hate me?”
“Not exactly.”
She gives him a small smile, which he returns. Then, hand-in-hand, they chant until a brightness surrounds them, and they are on their way home.

Not So Tough (Original Characters)
Summary: Elliot McCarthy and Nox LeBlanc don't get along and were put on cleaning duty together and things take a turn.
A/N: I'm trying to draw less because my drive for it is low. But I have given myself permission to write til my heart's content as a creative outlet! So I decided to write a tk story with my ocs Elliot and Nox. I started it several months ago and finished it up today... '-' Decided to post it cuz I feel like this is the best thing I've written ever.
This is a tickle fic! If this isn’t your cup of tea, turn back now. :^) There is also swearing if you don't like that? Idk!
Word count: 2139

Elliot disliked a lot of things. The list of things he disliked had exponentially increased during the time he was spending with The Resistance; The uncomfortable, pitiful excuse for furnishing in their underground quarters, the damp and musty smell that wafted through the halls, the people. The list went on. Charlie had promised that her group would be willing to help “he and his sibling return to their appropriate continuity”, but there was a whole lot of that not happening. Elliot was growing impatient. Especially because instead of being provided a way back home, the two would be put on duty for trivial tasks, which he hated the most.
One of today’s trivial tasks involved helping one of Elliot’s least favourite people in The Resistance tidy some of the rooms; Nox Leblanc. She was bossy, dramatic, and arrogant. A conglomerate of things that the young man found insufferable in a person. He hated working with her. Nox would always act like she was above him and scrutinize every little thing he messed up on or fumbled with and today was no exception.
Elliot was folding blankets while Nox was sweeping the wooden floor that was riddled with dust bunnies. Elliot wasn’t the best at folding blankets, not that he’d admit as much. At home, he’d resort to laying his blanket out over his mattress to avoid the having a quilt pathetically rolled up at the end of his bed. It wouldn’t be long before Nox would take notice of the clumsily folded up covers.
Feeling eyes boring into the back of his head, the blond sighed, already aggravated. Peering over his shoulder, he spotted the brunette woman with that same scrutinizing look, glaring at him as her green eyes flitted from him to the messy quilts. He couldn’t help but speak up.
“Look, if you’re gonna chew me out about how I should be doing something better or about how I’m fucking shit up, just do it already.” Elliot huffed. Nox’s eyes widened for a moment before they narrowed. Gripping the broom in her dainty hands, she stepped up to Elliot, almost challengingly.
“Well, since you asked, I should start by telling you you’re doin’ a piss poor job of folding the blankets.” She started, her tone as hoity toity as usual. “Honestly, Mommy and Daddy did a shit job teaching you such a basic skill.” A look of disdain crossed Elliot’s features. His parents were a touchy subject for him and June by extension. A quip burned on the tip of his tongue. It was a burning that he couldn’t ignore. Throwing down the blanket he was attempting to fold, he glowered at Nox, his hazel eyes meeting hers with an equally challenging look. When she didn’t so much as flinch at his glare, Elliot felt his resolve buckle.
“A-and Mommy and Daddy did just as much of a shit job of teaching you basic manners, huh?” Elliot’s voice shook, his stutter betraying him once again. He prayed. Begged to whatever cosmic or heavenly deity of this world that was listening to not let Nox catch that stammer… The corners of her lips quirked into a smug, amused smile. The gods weren’t listening… The woman couldn’t help but laugh into the back of her hand and the young man felt his cheeks burn with embarrassment.
“Oh, Elliot, sweetie. We all already know you’re not as tough as you make yourself out to be.” Nox idly toyed with her hair. He wasn’t entirely sure, but Elliot swore the cocky smirk plastered on her features widened once she noted his visible discomfort. Begrudgingly, the thin blond adjusted the beanie hat on his head before going to pick up the crumpled quilt he threw down.
“Whatever. I don’t even know what you’re talking about...” Muttering and turning his back on the other, Elliot shook off the clumps of dust that wasted no time clinging to the thick sheet during it’s time on the floor.
The taller woman seemed pleased that the bratty boy backed down without much of an issue. She had deduced a while ago that he wasn’t as confident as he seemed after observing him some, pushing buttons here and there, and challenging him at times. It was types like these that were usually trying to compensate for an insecurity or put up a defensive wall. After all, Nox would know how those types worked all too well from personal experience. Though, unlike Elliot, she had perfected her confidence. Solidified her defenses. Not much could penetrate them, much less someone with a weak will like her current cleaning partner.
Nox decided to keep pushing. She was having fun with him.
“You don’t?” The woman canted her head in mock confusion as she crept towards Elliot, dropping the broom she was holding to the floor. “Hm… That’s funny. I recall hearing that The Resistance’s favourite otherworldly, tough brat could be brought to his knees by the lightest of touches…” At that, she reached out, briskly walking her thin fingers along Elliot’s spine.
The reaction she received was far more entertaining than she ever could’ve hoped for; Elliot practically leapt out of his skin, a high-pitched shriek resonated from him that echoed down the halls of the base. He arched away so sharply that  Nox was almost convinced that his thin frame would’ve snapped in half, before he waved his arms behind him in a frantic attempt to shoo the woman away. That poor blanket was on the floor again.
“Agh! D-d-don’t do that!!” Elliot whipped around, immediately shielding himself with his arms. A look of amusement and intrigue made itself apparent on the green-eyed girl’s features as she stroked her chin.
“Aaaah, so the legends were true.” A mischievous glint in Nox’s eyes made a chill run up Elliot’s spine. “The younger McCarthy is suuuper ticklish..!”
Elliot hated that word; ‘Ticklish’ and all of it’s other iterations. It always embarrassed him because he knew he was hellishly so… Not that he’d ever admit it of course. He hated that he couldn’t stop his face from turning a deep shade of red whenever someone asked him if he was ticklish. He hated the way he would be helpless when they inevitably tested the waters. He especially hated the way people would tease him about the noises he’d make while he was trying to fight the urge to succumb to the mirth.
Elliot knew that people enjoyed poking fun at him because of the way he overreacted. He had been told so many times, but it was unavoidable when he got flustered. It was something so engrained in him that he couldn’t fight it no matter how hard he tried.
“Sh-shut the fuck up! You just… You just caught me by surprise, okay!?” Elliot huffed indignantly.
“I did? Oh, so you totally won’t react if I just… Tickled you again?” Nox flexed and wiggled her fingers as she began to close in on Elliot. He felt his heart begin to race as he backed away. He didn’t want to be subjected to this humiliation! Should he run? Where would he even go? Someone was bound to ask why he was running down the halls in a panic, then what? Elliot couldn’t just go whining about how Nox was threatening to tickle him, that would be mortifying! He’d rather die! Maybe a retaliation was in order? … No. Elliot was terrified of tickling others, even in self-defense. He knew that would just invoke their wrath further and he’d suffer tenfold.
The most the distressed blond could think to do was attempt and reason with his assailant… Not that he thought she would listen, but he was desperate.
“W-wait, c’mon-! We’re… We’re supposed to clean up and- MNGH-!!” Reasoning proved to be just as unhelpful as he expected when Nox’s fingers began to prod and wedge themselves into the soft divots of his ribs. His arms couldn’t protect him completely. “N-noHOHO! NGH- BIHIHITCH! A-AH!”
Elliot’s eyes were squeezed shut and he could only imagine how wide Nox’s devious smirk was as he swore in between frantic laughter and yelps. Her fingertips pressed into the tender areas of his sides, causing him to buck wildly and twist away from her tickling digits… There wasn’t much else he could do when his back hit the wall, rendering him unable to back away further.
“N-Nox! SHIHIHIT-! Nohohooox! AH-! Quihihit it! QUIT IHIHIT!”
“Hmm…” As she continued to torment the other with simple poking and prodding to the exposed areas of his midriff, Nox hummed in mock thought. “And what if I don’t want to? This is entirely more entertaining than sweeping and folding blankets, wouldn’t you agree?” At the mercy of Nox and his own mirth, Elliot couldn’t do much but shake his head wildly in disagreement. As much as he struggled to stifle and choke back his own squeals and guffaws, they still managed to spill past his lips. Once he started laughing, it was nearly impossible to get him to stop until the person tickling him decided they were finished.
“While it might be more entertaining, there’s a job that needs to be done that you two were put in charge of and there sure is a whole lot of that not getting done.” A familiar calm, baritone voice sounded from the doorway. Nox froze, pulling her hands away from Elliot. The two’s attention snapped to where the voice was resonating from.
She was so lost in her amusement towards the boy that she wasn’t aware of her superior, the right hand and body guard of the leader of The Resistance, leaning on the doorframe, quietly observing the subordinates with narrowed eyes and a furrowed brow. His large, built arms were crossed in disapproval.
“B-Bernard!” Nox felt her cheeks grow warm. It was known far and wide throughout The Resistance that she had an untamed lust for the man before them. Her normally bossy disposition and superiority complex would shatter whenever he was around, rendering her desperate and vulnerable. Whether Bernard himself was aware of that was a different story. His dark eyes held the disapproving gaze. “I was… I just- Elliot, he was being uncooperative, and I-” At the sound of his own name, Elliot shot a glare at the woman trying to pin the whole debacle on him.
“M-me!?” Trying to regain his composure, Elliot straightened up, patting down the wrinkles on h is sweater. “You were the one who’s fucking bossing me around like always and-”
“Enough.” Bernard didn’t have to yell more times than not. This was one of those instances. Between Nox’s devotion, desire, and respect towards the dark-haired man and his intimidating aura having a solid grasp on Elliot, the duo shut up right away, their gazes meeting the floor. He continued to speak, his voice was leveled and cold. “Frankly, I don’t care what the two of you do while you’re off duty. Have all the tickle fights you want or bicker until your heart’s content then. Not when you have a job you need to get done. Understood?”
“Yes, sir…” Nox acknowledged him quietly.
“Y… Yeah.” Elliot followed up, shifting awkwardly. The larger man’s posture relaxed once the two seemed more cooperative, his arms falling to his sides. Though, the stern look hardly wavered from his features.
“Good. Both of you get back to work, make sure this room is spotless in a couple of hours.” Bernard turned to leave the room with a light and aggravated sigh.
The room was quiet and still until Bernard’s footsteps that echoed down the hall were no longer audible. Nox approached the doorway, peeking out for good measure; He was gone. She looked back at Elliot who was silently picking up the quilt he was fussing with earlier, patting the flecks of dust off it. With a sigh, she returned to Elliot, lightly tapping her fingers on his shoulder to get his attention. He flinched, whipping around to shoot a glare her way.
“Whoa, whoa! Easy-” Nox pulled away. “I was just going to… Offer to help you fold the quilts.”
“Help…?” Elliot echoed in disbelief, suspicion weighing heavily on his brow.
“Y-yeah, just… To get it done faster so Bernard doesn’t get upset at me because I have you holding me back!” She huffed, a hue of pink dusting her cheeks. “Here, I’ll teach you how to fold the quilts. It’s easier with two people.” The boy seemed to relax after a moment when Nox offered her hand.
“Uh-huh…” Elliot knew her change of tune was because of Bernard, though part of him wondered if she was musing over her earlier comment towards him about folding. “Er, thanks, I guess…” He gave her the one end of the blanket.
“Don’t mention it, Tough Guy. Now, just follow my lead…”

Along For The Ride: New Years Day
A/N: Rewritten as Carson hehehe
Word Count: 4.7k
“Hold on to the memories, they will hold on to you.”
January 1, 2017
With one final glance at herself in the mirror, Carson knew she was ready. Or so she thought.
Although she’d attended many Leafs games before, and realistically, this one taking place outside at BMO Field was no different, Carson was insanely nervous for some reason. The Centennial Classic was a big deal. So many people would be attending and tuning in for it, and she was excited, sure. But that excitement quickly turned into nerves as she was leaving Auston's condo the day before, on the morning of New Year's Eve, after she drunkenly crashed there, and he asked if she would go to the game as a plus one of his.
Usually, Carson would try to convince herself that his asking her to be there meant nothing out of the ordinary, seeing as the two of them were such good friends. But the fact that he knew she was already going to be there cheering on her cousin and his team but proceeded to ask if she could be there for him instead made Carson aware that Auston's gesture maybe wasn't entirely platonic. And that was terrifying to her.
What scared her the most was that she wasn't mad it was happening but didn't know how things would play out. Carson liked having a plan, but she was walking in blindly in this situation. But, of course, she did that a lot when it came to Auston, which wasn't necessarily bad either.
"Carse, are you ready yet?" Carson heard her brother, Nate, call from somewhere down the hallway of her dad's house, snapping her out of her thoughts. After briefly stopping at her apartment to see Lexie and grab some things, she headed to her family's home in Pickering once Carson had left Auston's the day before.  Spending NYE with her dad, brother and sister, Mya, who was still home from Vancouver for another two days, was a tradition. The four of them didn't get too crazy. They just hung out and played board games all night. It was also Nate's birthday, so it all worked out nicely. "We're going to be late."
"Give me a sec. I'm almost ready," Carson snapped back at him, rolling her eyes. "Geez, you're more impatient than Mya."
"I heard that," the middle Bailey sibling yelled from what Carson assumed was her bedroom, making her laugh as she heard Mya stomp down the hall towards the washroom, then pause once she stood in the doorway and met her sister’s gaze in the mirror's reflection. Mya looked at Carson briefly, taking in her Marner jersey and Leafs beanie. But what really grabbed Mya’s attention was the perfect waves Carson’s hair was in that she knew her sister would've spent too much time trying to perfect, as well as the way her lashes were longer and her lips were redder than they usually were. "The fuck you mean you're 'almost ready?' You look hot as hell. Who are you trying to impress, though?"
"No one!" Carson screeched and whipped around to face her, unable to hide the blush that instantly started burning across her cheeks. "I just felt like dressing up a little bit."
"Yeah, right. Or you could just admit that you're trying to catch the eye of a certain hockey player."
Carson gasped slightly at that, wondering how Mya would assume that because she hadn't really talked to her about Auston. But then, she remembered someone who knew about Auston and had even met him.
"Nathan!"
"Yes?" Nate asked, sounding innocent while peeking around the doorframe and giving Mya a knowing look.
"Stay out of my business," Carson told him firmly. "And stop trying to bring Mya into it too."
"I have no idea what you're talking about."
"You know exactly what I'm talking about."
"Can't prove it," he replied with a shrug, as Mya started laughing. "Besides, Carson, we all know you wouldn't put this much effort into your appearance for just anyone. Look at those lashes! Damn girl."
"I will now be passing away, thank you," Carson replied, pushing her way between her two siblings so she could head to the front door and get ready to leave.
"At least that sped her up," Mya mumbled, which made her sister scoff.
"Dad!" Carson called out, knowing her father was in the kitchen making coffee. "Control your children, please?"
"Hey, you're the one that decided to let Nate take your other ticket to the Classic," he responded before coming into view as he sipped from the steaming mug he was holding. "You brought this on yourself."
"And I regret it immensely."
"Hurtful," Nate whined as he began putting his things on too. "Glad I won't sit with you while you have that attitude."
“Whatever,” Carson groaned as she opened the door and gestured for Nate to hurry up. “Let’s goooo, Nathan.”
It was about a 35-minute drive to BMO field, which Nate drove for. He was still flexing the fact that he could legally drive on his own even though he had just turned 17, and he blared Mr. Brightside at least three times before Carson forcibly changed the song.
Once the two arrived and got the car parked, Nate stood in line with Carson at the box office to pick up the ticket Auston had texted her about that morning, saying they would be waiting for her. After getting the ticket, Carson and Nate went through the gates without problems. Carson was about to text Steph to let her know she was there, but then she heard Steph’s voice yelling her name before being tackled in a hug.
"Happy New Year!" Steph greeted happily, then pulled away to pull Nate in for a quick hug and wished him a happy belated birthday before looking back at Carson. "Are you excited?"
"I, uh, I guess," Carson replied, noticing that Steph was oddly more cheerful than usual. "I mean, I'm sure it'll be a really good game, and watching it outside will be cool."
With the look Steph gave Carson after saying that, she knew Steph wasn't referring to just the game. But, before either of them could say anything else, another girl with blonde hair, who Carson recognized and knew she followed on Instagram but hadn't gotten the chance to get to know a whole lot unless it was in passing, that was standing nearby, cleared her throat and spoke up.
"Steph, maybe you should give her the bag," she said, chuckling as she smiled at Carson.
"Oh, right!" Steph responded as she reached into the large black shoulder bag she carried. "Carse, you've met Sydney, right? She's dating Matt Martin."
"I definitely have, at some point," Carson smiled back. "Hi, Sydney. This is my brother, Nate."
"Ah, another one of Mitchy's cousins," Sydney laughed after saying hi to Nate, then looked back at Carson. "I hear you're sitting with us today."
"I am?"
"Yes!" Steph exclaimed, then handed Carson a plastic bag she pulled out of her purse. "And it has been requested that you wear this. Okay, not requested, but I was asked to give it to you. So, here you go. I think you should wear it."
Carson looked at Steph and Sydney unsurely as she took the bag. Inside was a Leafs Centennial Classic jersey, which she was confused about since she was already wearing one. Then she saw 34 embroidered into the sleeve and knew what it meant. However, the jersey wasn't the only thing in the bag either; there was a small piece of paper with something written on it.
Can’t wait to see you after the game.
- Auston. X
The other three observed Carson for a moment, then gave each other a look as she began smiling like an idiot and very obviously kept reading the note repeatedly. Nate then silently mouthed to Steph, asking what the letter said, but she just shrugged because she didn't even know it was in the bag. So, in typical Nate fashion, he took it upon himself to glance over Carson’s shoulder and read what the note said.
"Awe, that's sweet," he said, making Carson jump as she quickly spun around to face him.
"What did I just say about you staying out of my business?" She snapped at him but couldn't be too mad because his actions were harmless. He was just happy to see his sister happy.
"But you make it so easy!"
"Whatever."
"You know I'm just messing," he replied before nudging her with his elbow. "I wonder what Mitchy is going to think about that jersey."
Carson’s face physically paled at that as she was reminded of how she still hadn't talked to Mitch about anything Auston related yet. Of course, she did not try to avoid telling him she liked Mitch’s teammate and friend. But Carson didn't know how even to approach it. She still didn't completely understand what was happening between her and number 34.
"Wait, Carson. I didn't mean that in a bad way or to stress you out. Ah, fuck."
"It's alright," she told her brother honestly, shaking her head to clear her thoughts. "It just makes me want to figure everything out more. That way, I can talk to Mitchy."
Nate sighed at that. He was aware that it was common for him to speak without thinking things through, and this just so happened to be one of those times. Although Carson had yet to admit that she started kind of seeing her ex, Chris, again, Nate knew. He knew she’d gone over to see him during Christmas, but much to everyone's surprise, he was trying to stay out of it. Staying out of it was particularly hard for Nate because he loathed Chris. Their entire family did. But, deep down, he knew Carson would know her worth and hopefully not take Chris’ shit for very long again. Nate also told his family he thought Auston was helping her realize that.
Carson didn't know that Nate and Mya also knew she stayed at Auston's during the night she went out for Lexie's birthday because the following morning, Chris showed up at their dad's house with a few of her things. He wanted to talk to Carson and knew she’d be there at some point that day because it was Nate's birthday, but her siblings did not have it. After learning that she told Chris to stay out of her life again, they reiterated that and told him not to bother coming around when Carson did get there later that afternoon, or ever.
After talking to Chris, then Mitch and Lexie, it wasn't hard for Nate and Mya to piece together that their sister was with Auston. They also knew that Mitch didn't know exactly where she was, but they were glad Auston could help Carson through everything they could've imagined happening at the bar that night with her ex. Carson’s siblings also knew that her being with Auston would make her worry about what Mitch would think. It was not Nate's intention to bring that up the way he did, and he started feeling bad about it.
"Carse," he started, trying to apologize again but was quickly cut off by his sister.
"I mean it, Nate, it's fine. It's time that I start figuring things out. But today, I want just to enjoy the game and not worry about it."
Nate smiled, then glanced at Steph and Sydney, patiently waiting for Carson.
"Good," he said. "Go enjoy the game and chill. You deserve it."
"Thanks, kid," Carson smiled at her brother and then started walking towards the other girls. "I'll see you later!"
She then joined Steph and Sydney, soon overcome with excitement again.
"It was nice meeting you, Nate. We'll take good care of her," Sydney promised as she linked arms with Carson and started guiding her toward the stadium. "Are you going to put the jersey on?"
"Yeah," Carson said with a smile as she tucked Auston's letter into her coat pocket. "I think I will."
"Love it! Okay, let's find you a place to change. But, wait, where's Steph?"
The two spun around to see Steph standing near Nate and looked at her curiously.
"You guys go. I'll catch up in a minute," she said as she waved Carson and Sydney off.
She was up to something, and Carson knew it, but instead of questioning her, Carson just gave her a look before continuing with Sydney to search for a washroom to change in. Once Carson and Sydney were further away, Steph turned to face Nate again and smiled.
"Don't worry about Mitch," she told him. "Carson does not need to worry either. From what I can see, she and Auston really like each other, and Nate, he is so good to her. You can see how much he genuinely cares about her just by watching the two of them together. He planned that whole jersey thing, then asked me to give it to her, and I know it will mean a lot to him that she's wearing it. Auston was also the one that made sure she was safe after the whole ordeal that happened with Chris the other night."
"You're really hyping him up, Steph," Nate chuckled but still listened to everything she had to say.
"You know that if I didn't think he was worth the hype, I wouldn't be saying any of this," she stated. "Your sister is one of my best friends and, on top of it, my boyfriend's cousin—his twin. I care about her just like I care about all of you guys, and if I didn't think Auston had good intentions when it came to her, you all would know. So I will tell Mitch this same thing, but Carse has to be ready to have that conversation first."
"I think you're right. It might be a little weird for Mitch at first, but he cares about Carson too much to actually get upset over this. And I think Carse might've forgotten that too, which is why she's so worried."
"Exactly. It’ll all work out. But anyway, I should find those two. Enjoy the game, and say hi to your dad and Mya for me! I'll see you with Mitch’s family afterwards."
"Will do. See ya, Steph."
~*~
After the girls got to their seats and the game started, Carson was introduced to many other women, all married or dating Leafs players. Like how she sort of knew Sydney, Carson recognized a lot of the women too, just from being at games with Steph and the odd party or get-together both she and Mitch insisted that Carson went over to their place for.
Carson felt out of place. She wasn't a Leafs player's significant other. Sure, she was cheering on her cousin and the guy who wanted her to be there for him, but did it mean anything more than that? Carson wasn't convinced.
However, everyone Carson met was so sweet and welcomed her with open arms. As a result, she was gradually able to relax and become more comfortable, which both Steph and Sydney played a massive part in.
Any other worries she previously had soon washed away as she turned her focus to the game, which kept her on her toes.
Although the Red Wings scored the game's first goal well into the second period, the Leafs came back in the third and scored four goals. One of which was scored by Mitch and another by Auston. However, by the literal last second of the game, Detroit was able to tie and send it into overtime.
Everyone was on the edge of their seat as OT began. Carson’s heart was pounding as she watched the puck get shot around at each end of the ice, but then she finally felt that weight lifted from her chest as Auston scored the game-winning goal, and the fans went wild.
All of the girls Carson was sitting with jumped up and yelled along with the crowd, pulling each other into hugs, which she was suddenly a part of.
"You know Matts is going to say you wearing his jersey brought him good luck or something cheesy like that, right?" Steph asked Carson teasingly as everyone they were with started heading down from their seats so they could wait for their guys.
"Oh, absolutely he will," Sydney added, making Carson laugh.
"I wouldn't put it past him, that's for sure," Carson responded, shaking her head.
While waiting for the guys, Carson reunited with Nate, her aunt, uncle and cousin, who was also waiting on Mitch.
"Nice jersey," her older cousin Chris teased as she hugged him.
"Yeah, I've been told that a lot today," Carson replied before greeting Mitch's parents too.
About ten minutes later, some guys from the team started coming out of the locker room and mingling with their loved ones. Carson stood awkwardly for a moment, unable to spot Auston anywhere, and began thinking how he must've been off with his family or something. It made sense that he was busy after an event like that, so she tried to drop it and remind herself that she could talk to him later as she waited for Mitch instead.
However, not long after that, someone tapped on her shoulder, and of course, when she spun around to face them, it was Auston.
"I like your jersey," he greeted cheekily, then pulled her in for a hug, which Carson quickly returned. "Thanks for coming, Carse."
"Thanks for wanting me to be here," she told him before being the first to pull away slightly but noticing how his arms wrapped around her middle. Although it was a foreign gesture, Carson didn't mind it and kept her arms wrapped around his middle as she looked up at him. "Also, congratulations! That was an unreal game, Aus."
"I think it's cause I had a good luck charm here tonight wearing my jersey."
"Steph guessed you would say something like that."
Auston scowled, then let his arms fall to his side once Carson finally broke away from his embrace. "Am I that predictable?"
"Yes, you are," Steph spoke up from where she stood nearby with Mitch and everyone else. Carson hadn’t even noticed that her cousin joined them, but she didn’t miss the confusion on his face when his gaze locked in on her.
"Wait, are you wearing his jersey?" Mitchy scoffed, then looked between Carson and Auston. "Am I missing something?"
"Don't worry about it," Steph told him, then began pulling him in the other direction, giving the rest of Carson’s family a look as if silently pleading for help.
"But-."
"Your teammates are looking for you," Nate explained to Mitch, pushing him away. "Shouldn't keep them waiting."
"Exactly. See ya, Carse!" Chris said, then waved to her as they rounded a corner and disappeared out of sight.
“But why is she with him and wearing his jersey?” Mitch asked in the distance, but his voice gradually became quieter. “Is anyone going to tell me?”
"Dear God," Carson groaned as she finished processing what happened and smacked her hand to her forehead in embarrassment.
"Well, that was interesting," Auston responded, chuckling.
"Mhm, I know I'll get an earful once I see him again."
The two laughed at that, then slowly looked at each other again. Carson waited for Auston to say something else, but unfortunately, he didn't, and she was left awkwardly trying to remove herself from the situation.
"Well, I guess I won't keep you any longer," she started and stepped away from him slightly. "You probably have plans with your family and stuff."
"I do," Auston responded, to which Carson nodded in understanding. "We're supposed to go get dinner once we finish here.”
“I see.”
“Would you like to join?”
"What?"
"Would you like to come to dinner with my family and me?"
"Are you sure?" Carson asked, entirely in disbelief as Auston nodded. "But it's your family…."
"I know," Auston responded. "And I wouldn't have asked you to join if I didn't want you there, Carse. But I understand if you don't want to come. It’s last minute, and you probably have plans and-."
Auston was getting nervous, that much Carson could tell as he trailed off, which sent those butterflies in her stomach into an absolute frenzy once again.
"I'd love to, Auston. You speak so highly of your family. It'll be nice to meet them. I just don't want to intrude or anything."
"You won't be, I promise," Auston confirmed with a massive grin, then gently linking his hand with Carson’s as he began leading her toward a different room. "They're very excited to meet you."
That familiar feeling of anxiety Carson knew so well returned as Auston weaved the two of them through the crowd of people. However, it soon melted away as Auston squeezed her hand to reassure her that he was there and smiled at her over his shoulder. That alone brought Carson a great sense of comfort that she couldn't describe.
A few moments later, they approached four people Carson had never met. Upon first sight, she instantly recognized Auston's parents. Although Carson had never met them, she saw them in the crowd while attending the Leafs' first game of the season against Ottawa back in October. The same night she and Auston also met for the very first time.
Next to them stood two girls who shared many physical similarities to Auston, who Carson couldn't help but assume were his sisters.
She smiled at them, which they all returned, and luckily for her, Auston was quick to speak up again.
"Hey guys, this is Carson," he introduced, still smiling as widely as before. "Carse, these are my parents and sisters, Alex and Bre."
"Hi," Carson greeted as nicely as she could but gradually became shy. "It-."
"It's great to meet you finally!" Auston's mom exclaimed, then pulled Carson in for a hug. "We've heard so much about you. It's nice to put a face to the name."
"Oh! Well, only good things, I hope."
"Great things," one of Auston's sisters, who Carson was pretty sure was Alex, said.
"Yeah, he talks about you a lot," his other sister, Bre, added. "But in a good way. It's nice to meet you officially!"
"Yes, Auston told us you are Mitch's cousin," Auston’s dad explained.
"I am," Carson replied. "That's how the two of us met and became friends in the first place."
"Well, I'm glad it worked out that way," Auston's mom stated, then smiled. Which had Carson smiling, too, as she felt so welcomed by these four people she had just met. "Also, please call me Ema. And this is my husband, Brian."
"It's nice to meet all of you," Carson told them. "I’ve also heard a lot about you guys from Auston too. But, honestly, I was a little nervous when Auston said he wanted to bring me to meet you all.”
“Hopefully, we’re not as intimidating as he may have made us out to be,” Alex said.
“Not at all,” Carson responded truthfully. “Thank you for inviting me to tag along for dinner."
"It's our pleasure," Brian responded. "Speaking of which, we should probably get going before we're late for the reservation."
Everyone nodded in agreement before looking around to make sure they had all of their things. As they did that, Carson felt Auston reach for her hand and give it another reassuring squeeze.
"Ready?" He asked.
"Absolutely," Carson replied confidently, excited to see how the night would go. Auston didn't respond to that. Instead, he smiled again then the two of them headed to the parking lot, still holding hands until they got to his car.
Dinner with Auston's family went much better than Carson could've imagined. His family were some of the loveliest people she had ever met, and she loved that she was getting to know them.
It made Auston ridiculously happy seeing how well Carson and his family got along immediately. Carson didn't take long warming up to them, became comfortable talking about herself, and paid attention to everything Auston’s family told her. Dinner went amazingly to him, and during it, Auston found himself resting his hand on Carson’s knee where she sat next to him at the table, then began rubbing soft circles with his thumb. As he did this, he subtly glanced at her, looking for any indication that she wanted him to stop because if she did, he would. To his surprise, though, Carson welcomed what he was doing and then responded by gently placing her hand on top of his as she continued talking to Bre about golf.
After dinner, they all returned to Auston’s condo to play board games and hang out. Once they all completed a couple of rounds of Clue and Scrabble, they watched a movie.
Once the movie ended, Carson hadn't even noticed that she was cuddled right next to Auston. Yes, the two of them started the movie sitting beside each other. Still, she must've shifted to get more comfortable throughout it, resulting in her unintentionally leaning right against him. Carson was surprised he hadn't moved away at all, but once she realized the position she was in, she scrambled away slightly.
Shortly after that, Auston's family left. They each hugged Carson and restated how glad they were to have met her, and Carson felt so warm and fuzzy on the inside. She couldn't have asked for a more perfect day.
Once they were gone out the door, Carson looked to Auston and became very aware of that magnetic feeling that seemingly pulled her towards him all the damn time.
"Thank you for today, Auston," Carson told him. "I really needed a day like this, and I'm glad it was with you."
"I'm glad I could help," Auston replied with a smile, then nothing. Carson slowly felt that magnetic feeling turn into what seemed like an invisible elephant forming between them, which sucked a lot. Maybe it was because she hoped he'd say something more, but she wasn't even sure what she wanted that to be.
"You did," she explained. "A lot. But, uh, I guess I should be going too. It's getting late."
Carson looked at him, waiting for him to respond, but could tell he was considering his words before he spoke again.
"Or you could stay," Auston suggested and stepped towards her.
"Aus-."
"Please, Carse. Stay."
The next thing Carson knew, Auston’s hands were resting on her hips and pushing her until her back touched the wall gently.
Carson didn't know how to respond. She was too focused on how Auston seemingly loomed over her but in the least threatening way possible. When she finally looked directly at him again, his eyes showed so much emotion, and she couldn't think of a way to react. Suddenly, Carson found herself sliding her hands up Auston’s chest, wrapping her arms around the back of his neck and moving to close the already small space between them, then stopped abruptly.
"Shit," she whispered. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have. We shouldn't do this-."
“Do you want to?” Auston cut her off and leaned in closer but halted his movements until she confirmed that what he was about to do was ok. Carson didn’t say anything, just looked at him, then nodded to tell him yes. “Carse, I need you to say it.”
“Yes, Auston.”
Carson didn’t need to say anything else, Auston’s lips were soon crashing against hers, and there was no going back. She opened her mouth to allow him more access, then tangled her hands into his hair as she deepened the kiss. It wasn't long before he lifted her so she could wrap her legs around his waist while he kept her pressed against the wall as they continued heavily making out. That was until Auston was the first to break away.
"Carson," he said, then glanced down at her lips to see how they were already swelling from the lack of contact against them. "Fuck, if you don't tell me to stop, I won't be able to."
"Then don't stop," she replied, leaning in to kiss him again. Auston then started carrying Carson to his bedroom, not once breaking away from her again, and the night soon faded around the two of them together.

Grey's Anatomy: Stronger Than Hate (18x18)
Ah, a classic dinner party episode of Grey's Anatomy. I love the gentle chaos.
Cons:
A full episode built around the premise of "everyone getting to know Nick" is bound to be irritating to me, because Nick is still the boringest boring to me. Like he's helping out with the cooking and cleaning, which is meant to be charming, but just seems bland. He talks to Maggie about his own difficulties with a sibling who is troubled and takes advantage, and that's meant to teach Maggie something about Winston's struggles with his brother. But instead I'm just thinking I'd rather spend that time with Winston, exploring how he's feeling about all this. When Amelia is talking to Nick about Kai, and about Meredith possibly leaving, I was struck by the contrast between all of Meredith's interesting friends and family in Seattle, and the boring guy she might be leaving them all behind for. I don't want to feel this way. This show has gotten me to appreciate and admire so many new characters over the years, but Nick is still not clicking with me at all.
There were some tonal problems with this episode that stopped it from being one of the more iconic Grey's episodes... I like the big group scenes where we see the characters hanging out socially, but we kept cutting from that, over to the hospital where we were dealing with a) Richard learning to accept that Catherine might be dying, and b) a hate crime against an Asian woman, and the Asian staff at the hospital responding to it. So the tonal stuff there was a bit odd to me.
And okay, here's the thing about the hate crime plot thread. I think a lot about it worked really well, but at the same time there was this awkwardness to having a bunch of AAPI characters at the hospital who we don't really know suddenly having speaking lines just to react to this travesty. Nico is the only actual character we could connect to on this, so it kind of put into sharp relief that the show could use more actual representation in that area.
Pros:
I can't believe I have to keep putting Owen Hunt, one of my least favorite characters on any show ever, into the "pros" sections of these reviews! But I loved his conversation with Kai. I liked watching him be happy with Teddy, have a drama-free evening, talk about his kids and Amelia and her role in his life. It's almost like he's not 100% insufferable when he's not being an angst-machine. Who knew?
But speaking of angst, we see that Amelia and Kai are doing really well, but when Kai sees Amelia in her element as a mother to Scout, and an aunt to Meredith's kids as well, they realize that they might need to reconsider the relationship. Kai doesn't want to have kids, and they're never going to change their mind on that. We leave things lingering, uncertain what that means for Kai and Amelia's future, but let's just say it doesn't look good. I'm a little bummed about this, but it's also very understandable, and I like that it's being explored realistically.
Back at the hospital, I will say I found the stuff with Nico very moving. He's such an emotionally repressed character, we know that about him, it's been such a point of conflict in his romantic life. And he quietly and calmly treats the patient without showing outward signs of distress, even as some of his colleagues talk about the horror of their lived experience. Then, we see Schmitt going to check on him, and he's punched a hole in the wall. His knuckles are bruised and bloody. I loved Levi coming back into the room with an ice pack for the injury. He doesn't say anything, doesn't push Nico to talk about it, just does the practical thing that can help in the moment. That was such a strong scene, as brief and simple as it was. I really do like Levi as a character, and I want to know Nico better. I want them to find a way to be happy, whether that's together or apart!
I'm always impatient with Catherine story-lines, because I find her irritating, but I will admit I liked the stuff with her and Richard here. Very tender and sad. Richard has outlived two women in his life who he loved dearly, Adele and Ellis, and the thought that he might have to do it again is such a tragedy. But Catherine needs to be able to relax and live and laugh a bit, even as she continues to fight for her life, and I like that our patient from last week helped to teach Richard that. Just cute vibes all around, even considering the inherent tragedy of the situation.
And then you've got Wendell, Winston's brother, conning Maggie and Winston out of $20,000. Wow. Yikes. I truly didn't see that coming. I appreciate getting to explore Maggie's marriage a bit, seeing how they deal with this situation. They seem to really love each other, but one consequence of them getting serious and getting married so quickly is that there are so many things they don't know about each other. This is a trial for their marriage that I think they've been handling admirably so far. I'm definitely invested in seeing where it goes.
Next week is the finale! Looks like we get to see Jackson and April, which I'm really excited about. Also looks like we might get answers about the residency program at last. Dun dun dun...

Family Support | Five x Reader
Summary: When Five doesn’t know how to deal with his feelings for you he asks his family for some help and things don’t go exactly as planned.
A/N: Five and you are both going to be like 19 in this and everyone else is their normal age. Also AU-ish in which they managed to save the world in 2019.
Word Count: 1,535
Warnings: none
Tumblr media
_____________
The Hargreeves children were a lot of things. Powerful, combative, traumatized to say the least. All of them however were not good at one thing: expressing feelings. All of them were bad at expressing feelings in different ways. Klaus was too open, Vanya barely expressed them at all, Diego was too strong with his and Luther and Allison well they were confusing. And then there was Five. Unlike the others Five had trouble understanding his feelings, let alone expressing them. For some time he was fine with his situation but then you came into the picture.
Five remembers when he first met you. It was during one of his trips to Griddy’s Donuts. You were working there as a server to help pay your way through college. As usual he sat down at the counter with his head in a book and ordered one black coffee from Agnes. She lightly placed the cup in front of him and he picked in up to drink. When he took a sip though it was as if fireworks went off. This was the best damn cup of coffee that he had in years. Calling Agnes over he questioned who made it and when she pointed to you it was as if the world faded away. From then on he would go to Griddy’s anytime you were working. The coffee you made was great but seeing you was better. It took him a few weeks but he finally worked up the courage to talk to you. From that point on the two of you quickly became very close. Your kind and happy demeanor was refreshing and somehow meshed with his tough and sarcastic one.
And that’s where his issue was. Even though he enjoyed being around you it made him so flustered. He had no clue what was going on with himself recently. Every time he was with you his heart started racing, his palms became sweaty, he felt warm all over, sometimes he felt like he couldn’t breath. He wondered if he was sick or maybe even dying. Trying to grasp what was going on he turned to his family for help. He called them all over to the house only telling them that it was an emergency.
When his siblings arrived they all sat in the living room staring at him.
“Well what’s the emergency? The world ending again?” Luther questioned impatiently
“I think i’m dying” Five responded
“Oh shit.” Diego says
“Oh no. Five, what is it? What’s going on?” Vanya questions sincerely
“Well I don’t know for sure that I’m dying but I think I am based on my symptoms.” Five responded
“Which are?” Allison asks
“Heart palpitations, excessive sweating, possibly fever, trouble breathing, lack of concentration.” Five answers “And they always happen when I’m around (Y/N).”
Klaus starts to laugh.
“What’s so funny about my imminent death Klaus? Keep laughing and I’ll make sure you pass first!” Five shouts at his sibling
“Now I might not be a MD but I am a doctor.” Klaus replies
Everyone looks at Klaus for explanation.
“I’m a love doctor and you my dear Five have caught the lovebug.” Klaus says turning his attention to Five
“What? Love? No it can’t be. I mean I just like spending all my time around her and talking to her but I mean I wouldn’t say that’s love is it? Oh shit am I in love with her?” Five starts to rant to himself “I- I don’t feel well. I feel all warm and my heart is racing again. I’m going to lay down.”
His siblings all give each other knowing looks. Five is absolutely, deeply, madly in love with you even if he couldn’t see it himself, but they had a plan to help push him in the right direction. Without his knowledge they decided to set up a blind date for the two of you. Luther, Diego and Klaus were tasked with writing the note to get you to come over and Allison and Vanya were to plan the date. The three boys put their heads together to write the invitation, each writing on section of it and then had Diego deliver it to you at work on your break. Going into the back room you read it. It said,
Dear (Y/N),
You are a girl and that is pretty cool. I think you do a great job at your job.
In my opinion you’re absolutely kickass. I wish I could be as cool as you are. Talking with you is like lighting a library on fire.
Your eyes draw me in like a nice glass of aged whiskey. I feel like i’m teetering on the verge between life and death when I am with you. You’re a radiant sight to see and are prettier than the kaleidoscope colors of a good LSD trip.
So I’ve heard at least! I don’t do drugs!
But I’m not lame as hell either. I’m really cool and tough and brooding. I’m a man of mystery.
But like my dad’s liquor cabinet I’m easy to unlock and there is so much good stuff inside of me.
But I only drink in moderation with adult supervision! Anyway you’re really awesome, and I think it would be cool if you could come over to hang out, with me later today, after your work shift is over because it would be odd to hang out at my place if you’re still at work because you’d still have to work.
My address is on the back. Come by later.
Sincerely,
Five, the handsomest ball of sarcasm ever
You laughed to yourself, you knew this wasn’t produced by the Five you knew and very much loved. Nevertheless went back to work and decided on stopping by his place later. Back at the house though the ladies were trying to put together a nice time for the two of you. They decided on...well they couldn’t decide. Allison wanted a movie night and Vanya wanted a relaxing dinner with music. Granted, they were biased in their ideas because they wanted to show off to you. Allison wanted to show you her movies and Vanya wanted to play her music for you. Luther supported Allison’s idea and Klaus supported Vanya’s and by the time Diego got back the living room was a mess of pillows, string lights and miscellaneous foods laying about. The siblings started to argue amongst themselves about how each of their ideas was better. Startled by the sound of commotion downstairs Five went to check it out. He stumbled upon the 5 siblings all arguing.
“Luther your parts of the invite were so bland!” Diego yells
“Well I had to compensate for all the crazy stuff Klaus wrote!” Luther retorts
“Crazy? You mean crazy romantic!” Klaus adds
“No! Crazy! Just like this clusterfuck of a venue! What did you two do while I was gone?” Diego asks his sisters
“Movie night is more romantic!” Allison replied
“Not when the movies you’re watching are of you! What are you some kind of narcissist?” Vanya yells
“Oh that’s rich coming from you Vanya. You only wanted the dinner so you could show off your violin playing!” Luther replies
“And you only went with Allison’s idea because you love her!” Klaus chimes in while taking a drink from the liquor cabinet
Five had seen enough. Fed up with his siblings arguing he yelled,
“What are you pathetic excuses for human beings arguing about this time?”
All of the siblings stop their arguing and turn their attention to Five. They all look away in embarrassment at the situation.
“Well?!” Five presses
Klaus steps forward first and says,
“Well we just thought that...”
“Since you were having trouble telling this, (Y/N) how you feel about her...” Luther continues
“We thought that it would be nice to invite her over...” Allison adds
“And set up a surprise date...” Diego continues
“For the two of you.” Vanya finishes
“YOU WHAT!” Five yells “I can’t believe that you’ve done this! I really like (Y/N) and I mean REALLY like her. She’s going to think I’m a psychopath and want nothing to do with me if she sees all this. I get it you want me to admit to myself and her that I have feelings for her, but this? This is a mess! She’ll never want to be with me like that if she sees all of this!”
Five looks at his siblings who all have wide eyes.
“What? What are you sad sacks looking at?”
“Probably me,” You say making your presence known to Five
“(Y/N), I- I can explain.” Five stutters out as he turns around to face you
“No need. I do think some of your claims are false though,” You reply
“Huh?” Five questions
“I think I’d still like to be with you even with all this mess. I really like you too.” You say placing a gentle hand on his cheek
“Well if that’s the case then would you’d like to get some coffee with me?” Five asks
"I’d love to.” You answer
Five extends his hand out towards you and you grab it. With your fingers intertwining the two of you happily walk out the door together. As five is closing the door to his home you whisper to him,
“Your family is weird.”
“They are but they’re the best.” He says

As the Pevensies started their reign, they all got caught up in their new lifestyle, especially Peter as the High King and a person who puts a lot of pressure on himself. As time went on, Lucy felt lonely and missed spending time with her brother. After a messy fight between the two of them where she finally admitted she felt left behind and missed him, they decided that they would, from now on, always make sure to plan some quality time together.
On the nights where Lucy has terrible nightmares, she quickly gets up to run into her big brother’s room. Shaking his shoulder, “Pete… Peter… are you awake?” only to be answered by a grumpy mumble, with a little more shaking an answer would eventually come out “Mmmh… Now I am… What’s the matter?” “I just had the worst nightmare…” he immediately lifts the covers “Wanna sleep with me?” and she gladly jumps in with him.
Of course, she always ends up taking all the place in the bed and cuddling her brother all night so that the following morning he barely got any quality sleep, but to see his little sister feeling better is all that matters to him.
Whenever Peter gets too caught up in his mind, she is always there to deliver him from his thoughts and force him to take a well-deserved break.
On the days where it is councils over councils, talking about mundane matters for protocol, he would get incredibly bored. That is when his attentive little sister would make sure to make him laugh and smile a little extra, even secretly bringing him snacks.
They do a lot of silly pranks together, both hiding behind columns, playing those often on Susan or Mr.Beaver, laughing until they can’t breathe.
Whenever Peter comes back from a fight, Lucy particularly makes sure her brother is cared for. His big heart and selfless personality often make the golden boy forget and mistreat himself because he just wanted to give so much to others. After fights, she makes sure he is taking rest and being attended to.
On the nights where he is up till dawn in the library reading, trying to get in as much information as he can, she always forces him to go to bed.
If he has already fallen asleep on his books, she brings him a blanket and a pillow.
She wants him to know he deserves the same amount of love and dedication he gives to everybody else.
Even though Peter is incredibly protective of his little sister, he also firmly believes in her capacities to accomplish great things.
Every time she performs on an event of some sort, Peter is always boosting the hell out of her. He is her number one supporter and loves cheering on for her, whether it is about swords fighting, painting, dancing, or any little things.
“C’mon Lu you can do it!”
“You got this!”
There's a lot of shouting and clapping.
When in more official settings, he minds his manners of course, but not enough to prevent a smug smile to lift the corners of his mouth.
During councils, he always makes sure her opinions are heard and that she is not set aside.
He remembers gloomily the many times Lucy tried to bring a point to the table or just an alternative option to a situation that would end up causing so many death and harm. He wants to do his best so that never happens again.
In the other world, before they could get back in Narnia, any time Peter felt like he was losing hope he would go to Lucy, knowing he could rely on her unshakable faith.
Anytime Peter feels trapped in an unsolvable situation and feels frustrated, he goes to Lucy for advice.
She is calm and wise where he is action and impatience; they balance each other out wonderfully in that type of situation.
It is no secret; he is a protective brother when it comes to his little Lucy. He feels particularly entitled to her security and well-being.
As she grew up, he found it hard to understand she was a grown-up woman, able to take care of herself.
It did spark many small fights between the two of them, every time it ended with him apologizing and her understanding he was only doing this because he did not want her to get hurt.
After that, he started to do even more training and activities with her, boosting her confidence and encouraging her to be the best she could be.
He is also extremely protective of her when it comes to male attention.
At one point, it became too intense and inquired a serious discussion between them both as he had frightened to death a gentleman who wanted to dance with her majesty. He was incredibly sulky and acting like a stubborn mule when they discussed the matter. She succeeded in breaking his act and made him promise he would not do it again.
They did make a deal on him having a veto if he felt something was off; they shook hands on it. Even after that, he was protective, but more subtly, and gave his little sister the space she needed.
They love to go on walks in the country together, sometimes in the woods, other times on the beach or near a river to read a book.
They do not have to talk even though they love chatting together; they still enjoy and appreciate each other’s presence in the deepest of silence.
They do not fight a lot, and when it happens, it ends pretty quickly with one of them apologizing.
Even though Peter has a shining personality, he can get shy easily and prefers to hide in a royal and distant behavior when that happens. That is why Lucy always makes sure to break that façade and bring back her happy brother.
When he feels like he is a terrible king, Lucy takes on the role of the confidence booster. She encourages him to be confident and to have trust in his capacities.
She believes in him more than anyone else and knows he is a great king, always doing his best.
He does not particularly like to dance, and Lucy really does; she taught him all he knows and forces him to dance with her at least once at every ball.
He always tries to get out of it even though he secretly likes these shared dances with his sister.
When Lucy gets sick or does not feel good, he is taking extra care of her, making sure she is always attended to, that she has all of her favorite snacks.
Once, when it got pretty bad, he spent all night with her, even sending Edmund on one of his duty because he did not want to leave her. That day he spent most of the time, besides caring for her, reading her favorite books to her.
She loves his voice; it is one of her favorite things in the world.
Every time there is a silly fight between the three younger Pevensies and their older brother, their last resort is always to send in the charms of Lucy. He always caves in when she comes in, asking with a pout just like when she was a child.
They both admire the other so much.
Their relationship is one of the things they value the most. Even though it comes pretty naturally to them, they always put in the time and effort to keep it healthy and flourishing.
You know how some people have the chance to find one of their soul sisters (platonically speaking of course).
Well, Peter and Lucy Pevensie are without a doubt two people who had the luck of finding theirs.
a/n: there it was, my first ever request !! Again thanks to my good friend for sending it to me🥺 I hope you’ll like it and feel free to send me some requests, I love doing them☺

Here is another prewritten one shot that is also blairon! I’m willing write something other than blairon. I for the life of me cannot write straight ships as a main ship so that pretty meh. Am I the only one who's fine with spending hours alone in my own room when its pitch black just looking at words for the sake of it? I mean, it is pretty fun. This one had 2k words so yeah, it may not be the biggest one-shot you've ever read so excuse that minor detail. I might post some head cannons I have for my HP ships as well.
                           •❅──────✧❅✦❅✧──────❅•
Ron was in awe of him.
He was almost as popular as Malfoy, with even Malfoy as his friend.
He was the only Slytherin in Professor Slughorn's "Slug Club" mainly because he was one of the top students in potions, aside from his mother's connections.
He was a sensible, grounded person, who actually knew the right time to speak along with being level headed.
And to add on top of that he was quite an attractive person, which was why Ron had no idea on how he wasn't with anyone yet romantically.
Of course the boy that put Ron in that love-struck state was none other than Blaise Zabini.
But Ron couldn't ever imagine a universe where Blaise would love him back.
                                             ⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅
"As it is a new semester, and also a fresh start to the new year, Headmistress Mcgonagall has suggested that all professors, including myself, should be rearranging the seating plan. This isn't very new, but as Hogwart's new goal to creating more inter-house relationships, whether platonic or not, we would like to encourage that type of thing more. So please, accordingly line yourselves up at the front as I reassign you to your new seating partner.", Professor Slughorn explained to his sixth year class which contained both Slytherin and Gryffindor students.
Murmurs could be heard as the students all slowly slunk towards the front of the class, with Gryffindor on one side and Slytherins on the other, whispering their complaints and worries about how all of this could end.
"Professor, if I may, but if we are pairing with someone from another house and we are brewing a potion, how will you know who actually did the potion and who to give the points to?",Hermione blurted out stepping out of line. She secretly sent a glare towards the Slytherins which was quickly returned back by Pansy Parkinson.
"Wonderful question Miss Granger! The points will be evenly given to both participants. And I can assure that all of you will be working instead of slacking off.",the old professor replied jovially as Hermione stepped back in line.
After a few more questions asking about how this inter-house seating arrangement would even work, from both the Slytherin and Gryffindor houses, Professor Slughorn eventually started listing out the seating partners.
"Ms. Granger and Ms. Parkinson, Mr. Longbottom and Mr. Nott, Mr. Malfoy and Mr. Potter...", Slughorn continued on as Ron lost almost all interest. He'd rather wait to see the day where Seamus didn't blow up his potion instead of having to wait for his name to be called.
"...And lastly, Mr. Weasley with Mr. Zabini.", Professor Slughorn finished, with his regular, cheery tone.
Thankfully, Ron managed to keep his face from heating up as he slowly trudged behind the Slytherin boy towards the very last desk, on the left-hand side.
Since the rearranging of the seating plan had taken so long, Professor Slughorn decided to use the last fifteen minutes of class for the partners to socialize and get to know one another.
"So...",Ron started nervously scratching the back of his head looking at the slightly shorter boy who lazily leaned against the wall, his arms crossed.
"If you're trying to start a conversation Weasley, anyone could tell how much of an amateur you are at starting one.",Blaise drawled as Ron looked at him in utter bewilderment.
"I-uh..",Ron stuttered his face slightly became coated with a crimson red blush before composing himself.
"You are quite the Gryffindor Weasley.",Blaise remarked, quietly chuckling, with Ron starting to laugh soon after.
"Either way, it's nice to actually meet a Slytherin who isn't as stuck up as the rest.",Ron smiled warmly.
"You actually think that every Slytherin is stuck up? We're just more in control of our emotions. Besides, you may be a pureblood, but that doesn't mean you were raised like the other purebloods.",Blaise answered nonchalantly, as he sat down on the high-legged stool behind him.
"Well, all of my older brothers had dealt with Slytherins and all of their antics, so I guess what they told me just rubbed off onto me.",Ron told Blaise grabbing another high-legged stool behind him to sit on.
"I would hate it if I had a sibling, more so an older one. I don't get how you even withstood having three older brothers.",Blaise laughed again, while also easing the tension from their conversation topic prior to this one.
"Five actually. I had two more brothers who graduated before I got to Hogwarts.",Ron chuckled as Blaise's eyes widened in surprise.
"Your mum had to take care of six boys and a daughter on top of that? How did that woman even handle it?",Blaise smirked with a hearty laugh from Ron as a response.
"I don't even know. But she sure was strict.",Chuckled Ron.
"What a bummer. My mum was to busy with her husbands to even properly discipline me.", Blaise admitted with a sarcastic sigh.
"Ok class! Thank you to the most of you who did talk with one another, but you may head upstairs to the great hall for lunch now. I heard the elves have cooked something great today!",Slughorn announced to the class as he left before his students, eager to eat.
As Blaise had picked up his potions book and was about to join his friends for lunch, Ron did something he never thought he would do.
Ron quickly tugged Blaise's sleeve as Blaise was about to leave making the sixth year Slytherin boy turn around confused.
"Sorry Zabini, but do you want to go to Hogsmeade with me this weekend?",Ron said quickly as his fingers involuntarily twiddled around with one another on his lap.
"Like a date?",Blaise inquired, slightly smirking.
"O-oh, n-no! Just as friends! I mean if you want to be friends.",Ron stuttered his face quickly turning as red as his hair.
Blaise's smile faded slightly as he frowned, albeit, Ron had't noticed this, and was too busy looking at his lap with a greatly warmed face.
"Why not. Would you like to meet at Honeydukes on Saturday at around twelve o'clock? I haven't had chocolate frogs since last semester.",Blaise replied as he smiled again.
"Great!",Replied Ron, who managed to compose himself, once again.
Blaise turned around to see Pansy Parkinson impatiently waiting by the doorway. Blaise turned back around and gave Ron a lopsided smile and a small wave before grabbing his potions book and quickly walking over to Pansy.
"Bloody hell, I think I just befriended him.",Ron thought to himself, dumbfounded, whilst shaking his head after the two Slytherins were out of sight.
                                                 ⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅
Skip to the Saturday morning of Ron's meet up with Blaise, and Ron was a complete wreck.
Emotionally, of course.
Ron paced around his dorm room in circles worried about what could possibly happen.
What if Blaise thought he wasn't good enough?
What if Blaise thought he was to poor to even befriend more so get together with?
What if Blaise found out he liked him?
What if Blaise never even showed up and it was just a prank?
Ron was going in circles both emotionally and physically until he was shook out of his trance.
It was just Neville.
"Are you okay? Hermione just told me that you should be going now if you want to make it on time to Hogsmeade.",Neville told the distressed redhead.
Ron frantically casted a tempus charm to see that it was almost twelve, the time that he and Blaise agreed to meet up at.
"Shit!",Ron hissed as he ran out of the dorm grabbing a warm jacket along with his newest sweater from his mum. Whilst he was leaving, he also left a confused Neville left to ponder on who the boy was meeting at Hogsmeade.
                                              ⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅
Ron saw Blaise waiting for him in the front of Honeydukes with a light gray sweater and an emerald green woollen scarf.
When Blaise noticed the redhead hurriedly running towards him, he waved and smiled as Ron was panting quite heavily trying to catch his breath.
"Are you okay?",Blaise asked genuinely worried that something had happened to Ron.
"I'm fine, I just didn't realise how late I was until the last minute so I ran here so you wouldn't need to wait. But how long were you standing there waiting for me?",Ron countered.
"Just about ten minutes.",Blaise chuckled at the red-faced redhead.
"That long? Bloody hell, I'm so sorry, are you cold?",Ron asked not wanting Blaise to be sick thanks to him.
"Not that much, although it is surprisingly cold for a January afternoon.",Blaise replied.
"Yeah, Hermione told me that the muggles were doing that. She says it's because they don't know how to clean up after their messes. It's somehow destroying the world.",Ron laughed.
"We should probably go inside, fourth years have started crowding the entire place at thirteen o'clock. It's quite the madhouse.",Blaise said, grabbing Ron's hand and pulling him into the freshly painted pink and turquoise building.
Ron was beyond grateful the boy pulling him hadn't looked back at Ron, or else he would have seen Ron's overly flushed face.
Once inside the candy store, Blaise hadn't let go of Ron's hand, seemingly forgetting that they were holding hands in the first place.
But of course Ron wasn't going to argue.
Walking down the small twists and turns of the candy store was quite tiring but after ten minutes the boys found the chocolate aisle.
"How many should we get.",Blaise asked Ron.
Ron fished his pocket to find his coin bag and remembered that he had around two galleons worth of sickles in there with probably a bit extra. The chocolate frogs were one chocolate frog for two galleons. So at least he could afford one chocolate frog and wouldn't embarrass himself in front of his crush.
After the two bought their chocolate frogs they stopped at the front door.
"How many did you get? Most I could get was one chocolate frog.",Replied Ron with uncomfortableness lining his voice.
"I just settled for two, but I insist you take one of mine.",Blaise told Ron, taking one of his chocolate frog boxes and shoving it into Ron's hand.
"I'm sorry, I can't, you paid for this.",Ron said holding out the given Chocolate Frog box for Blaise to take back.
"Nonsense, I could just buy another some other time. Take it as a thank you gift for inviting me to Hogsmeade.",Smiled Blaise before opening the door for them to exit to store.
"What do you want to do now?",Ron asked as they only made plans to go to Honeydukes.
"We could just walk around. I mean, do you want to walk?",Blaise replied.
"Sure.",Ron grinned.
                                               ⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅
After about 10 minutes of walking around the Hogsmeade grounds it started to snow, much to Blaise's distaste.
"I said it before and I'll say it again. This is to cold for a January afternoon.",Blaise shivered.
Ron chuckled before slipping off his jacket and putting it on Blaise. Blaise's face warmed up in embarrassment but it was quite hard for Ron to tell as the oblivious redhead had thought it was just because he gave him something to keep him warm.
"Are you okay now?",Ron asked gently.
Blaise just smiled at Ron and hugged him as Ron's face stretched wide as a smile formed on his face also.
"You know, anyone would be lucky to have you, you're too nice.",Blaise said.
"Well I would be lucky to have them.",Ron answered.
"Well come on then Weasley, I'm sure we can find you a special someone another time."Blaise smirked at him him.
                                             ⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅
The two stopped to sit on a ledge after half an hour of walking around. It was almost thirteen o'clock and Blaise was both quite knackered.
"I never realised how tiring walking could be.",Blaise yawned.
"Well now you have. Should we go back then if you're so tired?",Ron queried with some amusement in his voice.
"No, Pansy is currently in a mood and I have no intentions on being in the same room with her when she's in that kind of state.",Blaise replied wearily as Ron laughed.
"Well you could just sleep here. My shoulder is free."Ron reasoned without a thought, as Blaise yawned before promptly falling asleep on Ron's shoulder.
When Ron realized what he did he was a mixture of embarrassment and surprise on his own behalf.
So in all, he was quite shocked.
Another thirty minutes passed before Ron nudged Blaise awake. It was only thirteen-thirty, but they were supposed to be back before fourteen o'clock and it would take a bit of time to return to the castle without a carriage.
And Ron was not in the mood to wait in the carriage line for fifteen minutes, just for the carriage ride to be another fifteen minutes. And the professors were quite strict, even if a student was only a minute late. Once, a student had received two weeks of detention with Professor Snape for returning back to the castle five minutes after the curfew.
The two walked back quietly for a change and Ron kept glancing down to both his, and then Blaise's hands. Merlin knows how much he wanted to hold them.
Halfway to the castle, Ron and Blaise's hand briefly brushed up against one another and Ron had to fight down the crimson blush from eroding his pale, freckled cheeks. Blaise for one, seemed to not have noticed the entire situation.
                                                ⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅
When the two boys could see the gates leading into Hogwarts and the crowd of students lining up to be accounted as returned on the Hogsmeade list, Blaise grabbed Ron's hand and quickly dragged the puzzled redhead behind a tall array of bushes where nobody would be able to see them.
"Sorry Weasley for dragging you, it's just that- I just wanted to thank you for the afternoon. It was really enjoyable.",Blaise told Ron, though not meeting Ron's eyes.
Ron unthinkingly went closer to the Slytherin. At this point he wasn't even focussing on he possibilities of what could happen.
Ron slowly closed his eyes, leaned downwards slightly, his hands snaking around the Slytherin's slim waist and he kissed him.
Right on the lips.
The kiss was short, with Ron's lips brushing not very forcibly pressed against Blaise's own. But Ron's face looked exactly like his fiery red hair.
Ron's eyes widened as he realised what he did.
He just kissed Blaise Zabini.
But before he could process much more, he was pulled down into another kiss, except a better one this time.
After a few seconds, Ron's mind finally had a grasp of what was happening. His eyes closed again as he pulled the Slytherin closer to him as his hand were still coiled around Blaise's waist. He never wanted to let go of him.
Blaise pulled away first as Ron's eyes were still closed, a bit discombobulated from the separation.
Ron realized Blaise's hands were wrapped around Ron's neck as Blaise hugged him.
"I can't believe we just kissed.",Ron grinned widely hugging Blaise back.
"I'm more surprised on how you aren't even that bad of a kisser.",Blaise smirked as Ron just hugged Blaise tighter playfully.
"Should we go back to the castle? I'd reckon the others might be waiting for us.",Ron assumed.
"I'd reckon so too Weasley.",Blaise replied as Ron let go so they could walk back to the castle.
This time they walked back to the castle holding hands.
And Ron was absolutely love struck.

metion of suicidal thoughts and aduse*
Bucky woke up to the sun shining through his bedroom window, it was the kind of sun light that makes the dust float in the air. When the summer days grew boring he used to watch the dust stream around the room it fascinated him as child. Bucky sat there for an hour just watching the dust letting himself fall into a haze of thoughts. It was peace right there in his tiny little space of dust he found peace.
The thing that pulled him out of his thoughts was his little sister mary knocking on his door. Bucky walked out he smiled at the eight year old girl "Jamie can we have a tea party today" most boys and older siblings would tell their little sister to go buzz off. But bucky knew he had a roll to play his father's. he played dress up and tea part and  barbies. Sang and baked took them to the park to swing on the swing set, rode bikes. He had to make his little sisters life more then his, he didnt want them to know the pain and confusion that came with not having a dad.
Bucky would lay the world flat for his family. "Of crouse, but only a little bit I have to hang with fanny." The little girl wrapped her little fingers around buckys pointer finger and pulled him to her room. Once he was sat at the little table that was ten times to small for him. Mary began to put red lip stick on his lips the two giggled and played, bucky wanted nothing more then to be a dad. He sort of was one already with the way he took care of his sisters, he had been acting like a father since the age of 10.

                                  ¤
Once bucky washed off the red lipstick and changed into new clothes he headed for his car. Ready too see fanny, something about her made him nervous. Made him question if he looked good or if his breath smelled okay, or if his hair was nice enough to go see her. Bucky now sat outside fanny's house waiting in his car he honked his car horn. Just as bucky was growing impatient she came running out.
Fanny wore a tight t-shirt, little Jean shorts and some beat up chuck Taylor's. Showing off her tan legs her curly long hair bouncing around as she jumped into the passenger seat of buckys truck. "Hey jamie!" A smile as big as the sun grew on buckys face just from fanny's near presence. "Hi fan, so I was thinking pike place" fanny nodded well fiddled with the radio "sounds good buck!"
Bucky pulled away from the crub and drove to their destination. "So did you get your letter?" Fanny asked. Bucky froze for minute not wanting to tell her what choice he made. "Huh no I haven't gotten my letter from Greenwich." Luckily for him fanny dropped it "oh okay" fanny was in great mood today she got to spend the whole day with her bestfriend. Nothing  could bring her down.
Soon after the Pair were walking through pike place market. Bucky was feeling different around fanny every glance she passed his way or thing she said made him smile. Fanny and him were chatting away "Brandon Willard asked me on a date for Tuesday" anger rose in bucky he clenched his jaw "what did you say?" He asked trying to play off the sudden jealousy. Why do I even care this much he asked himself in annoyance. "I said maybe I'd think about it. I wanted your opinion on it" fanny stated
This brought some relief to Bucky knowing she cared of what he thought and wanted his approval. "Well I don't know, do you like him like that?" Please say no he begged to himself. Again he feared why he cared so much he knew the answer but wouldn't admit it. "Well no, I dont like him that way." And the reason why is because I suddenly have a thing for my bestfriend who just happens to be you. She finished in her head. "Fanny if you don't like him, dont go" bucky stated.
"Hey buck hold on i gotta use the bathroom real quick" and with that fanny walked towards the bathroom. as bucky waited for fanny to be done he spotted a bouquet of white tulips and lillies. fanny's all time favorite flowers. fanny rambled all the time what her future wedding would look like and theses two flowers she said had to be there. the girl knows what she wants. bucky quickly stummbled over to the flower stand buying them for $12.44
when fanny returned bucky waited there right where she left him. "i got you these" bucky said nonchalantly, fanny gasped taking them from him. "Really?! oh thank you jamie their beautiful!" she quickly stood on her tiptoes and place a feather light kiss on his cheek. fanny was just as shocked by her actions as bucky. she hadnt really thought about what she was doing an till she did it. bucky had a smug grin on his face like he owned the world and fanny blushed the two of them just walked in silence.

                                 ¤
The weekend ended but summer had just begun. On Monday Bucky had work Natasha was busy setting up her little sisters coming home party. So today it was just steve and fanny "so fan when are you gonna get out there?" Fanny knew additmly what he was talking about. "I dont know if I want a relationship before I leave. I mean it would be nice and all but we wouldn't able to stay together."
"I think your wrong, I mean being in love is pretty awesome." Fanny rolled her eyes "yeah yeah lover boy. Whatever you say" she mocked. Steve playfully pushed her head. Steve and fanny sat at carkeek park watching the waves come up the shore.

"Pal you 18th birthday is coming up, what are we doing to celebrate?" Fanny asked Steve. "Well we're having a party at my house ya know all us friends. Then nat and I rented a cabin in Snoqualmie so her and I after the party will head out." Fanny ohhhhed "gonna have some fun huh? Little bit of boob" fanny teased. "Hey! No get your head out of the gutter." Fanny laughed thinking her joke was amazing
Fanny and steve sat there talking for about 30 more minutes. this wave of saddness came over them as they talked about old memories, in that moment they both realized that this is their last summer together. fanny and bucky were going to london for college, nat and steve where planing on moving too Oregon. they all would be apart, the four of them would no longer be the four of them. spilt up. fanny didnt want to think about saying goodbye as much as she wanted to get out she also wanted to stay in her somewhat perfect bubble.
she craved change and begged it not to come all at once. not ready to kiss her childhood goodbye but also hating when people treated her like a child. it was this strange sence of emotions that made her brain go in loops. even though she knew that millions of people have felt what she is feeling, and there a million books and movies about coming of age but all of those things didnt make her feel less alone or scared. fanny wanted to freeze time, live in the summer of 1975 forever. she wanted everything right in the plam of her hand she was just to scared to reach out and touch it.
then the chrushing feeling of bucky came in her mind. she thought back to all the years of friendship and how now she coveted for more. when did i start? she asked herself. she didnt even realize when she wanted to be in Dots shoes. "i'm gonna miss you" steve stated saddness laced in his words. "i'm gonna miss you too, im scared ya know? everything is gonna change" steve wrapped his arms around fanny's shoulder pulling her into a friendly hug. "i know what ya mean fan. i feel it too, i think everyone does."
fanny was more open with steve he was like her big brother. she and him related to one another more then anyone, somehow they just knew eachother on a different level. there were many times in fanny's life that she turned to steve, he knew the horrid things her mother said and did to her. the abuse that fanny had to go through he was the only one that knew.
that was the real reason fanny couldnt wait to leave was because her mother. fanny loved her mom but didnt necessarily like her.
"mom? its not working the praying, you said to pray but nothings changed i still feel this way" fanny tried to open up to her mom about her thoughts of ending her own life, this was the second time she tried to get help from her mother. the first time her mom told her to pray and it would go away, then less then two weeks later maya came home from work and the house wasnt clean enough. she yeld and screamed at fanny 'i dont care if you want to kill yourself. you halfass everything even that!' those words would forever damnge fanny. in that moment and in many other before it, every speck of love and trust died.
"i still have those thoughts mom" fanny stood in her moms bedroom while her mother did her makeup. maya turned to face her daughter "fanny have you been using the right laundry soap my skin is kinda itchy" maya looked her own duaghter in the eyes after she told her she wanted to kill herself and she changed the conversation to laundry soap. like she didnt even hear what fanny had said, after that fanny no longer came to her mother for help or comfort. maya only used it against her.
that night fanny was crying in her car outside her house trying to hide from her mother so she woudnt see her cry. steve saw her and knocked on her widow. fanny unlocked the door steve got in the car with her and fanny told steve everything. it took everything in steve not to walk into that house to kill maya. he had been friends with fanny his whole life and he didnt even know what was going on one house away from him.

A Very Mikaelson Christmas:
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
I know, it's been forever but I've really just been relaxing and taking care of myself the past couple of months but to all my readers for "Black Roses" I DID NOT FORGET ABOUT THE STORY! I will update as soon as possible and I miss it as much as you all do.
This is part 2 to chapter 10 of my klaroline family drabbles: Meeting the Mikaelsons, and occurs before the merge storyline. Link to my ff page can be found here and at the bottom so PLEASE leave a review!
Happy reading :)
"Alright let's go through the list:" Caroline began checking off her clipboard. "Elijah and Freya are on food duty. Marcel is taking care of music, Josie's bake goods are in the oven, Hope and Hayley are finishing the tree and other interior decorations while Kol and Alaric string up the lights outside. Did I miss anything?"
"Yes, like an explanation for why we are doing all of this tedious work when we could have simply hired professionals?" Rebekah blurted from her chair.
Caroline pointed a fake smile at the blonde Original who was casually sipping on a glass of spiked egg nog.
Given that this was the biggest Christmas party she's ever hosted, Caroline tried not to stress too much even over incompetence. This was a joyous time and was determined to make it special. Being an only child with just her mom Caroline never partook in grand holiday gatherings and now, she had two families coming together for the very first time.
"I knew I forgot something, Rebekah you're on table duty." Caroline ordered.
"The hell I am." She snorted before drinking from her glass again.
The baby vampire breathed in and out through her nose to refrain from her fangs latching onto an 1,000 year old being's jugular.
In an attempt to make everything perfect for tonight, Caroline created a schedule of tasks for all the family members to obey, and hers was making sure everyone followed through with their tasks—she didn't count on confronting prissy Mikaelson behavior.
Over a thousand years of existence and they all acted like they never heard of basic chores.
"Last I checked you're apart of this family too which means you have to assist in some way. You can't just drink liquor all day." Caroline scolded.
"Actually I've been doing that just fine, thank you very much." Rebekah grinned raising her glass to the aggravated blonde. "Not to mention I've spent all morning searching for those impossible snowflake place settings you so desperately desired. You're welcome by the way. So from where I'm seated I've done my part."
"If we're being technical, all you did was pick out the pattern from the comfort of her bed while I was the one who actually had to hunt them down." Klaus announced walking into the room, making Caroline exhale into a smile.
She was relieved and happy to see him, not just because she missed his handsome face but because he was the only one capable of talking Rebekah down.
Despite the minor difficulties, Caroline was grateful the girls insisted on bringing thievery one together this year to celebrate Christmas as a family.
Kol flew in from California the night prior, around the same time Rebekah arrived from New York City on her private jet. Alaric had last minute paperwork to finish before handing over the keys of the school to his right-hand-man, Dorian, for remainder of the break—he drove out early that morning, alone.
Alaric finally accepting Klaus as a permanent factor in both Caroline and the girls' lives made their complex situation more graceful.
"I hardly see how that's relevant." Rebekah retorted with an eye roll, amusing her dimpled face brother walking up behind the chair to place his hands on her slumped shoulders.
"It's relevant, little sister, because you haven't lifted a finger since you've been here. This is a family day which means everyone is pitching in, no matter how much we may not want to. You're no exception here. I assure you arranging a few place settings on the table won't break a nail."
She shoved him off. "Oh please, as if you actually care about the holidays when you haven't spent one with us since Hope was wobbling around in bloody diapers."
"Rebekah—"
"You know Nik, It's okay to admit you're only agreeing to such humiliating labor to impress your precious baby vampire. We all already know the truth." She teased, smirking while finishing off her drink. The expression in her eyes could easily get under anyone's skin.
Caroline pressed her lips into a tight line, already sensing Klaus' annoyance beside her.
After all these years of being in Klaus' life—in some capacity—she figured the vindictive Original would have warmed up to her by now.
Obviously, not so much.
"Damnit Rebekah, stop being a brat and just fetch the bloody plate settings." Klaus groaned impatiently.
He shook his head when she childishly stuck her tongue out at him before standing to make her exit towards the kitchen.
"Where are those bloody daggers when I need them?"
Caroline sighed exasperatedly when placing her clipboard on the piano. "Oddly enough, that doesn't sound too bad. I'll forever deny that I ever condoned that."
Klaus laughed under his breath. "Your secret's safe with me."
The blonde's white teeth nibbled on her rose colored bottom lip. Both hands fisted into his black buttoned-down shirt, fingertips teasing the exposed necklaces before she leaned on her tiptoes for a quick but lingering kiss. Lips barely tasting the other before slowly parting, foreheads resting against each other's for a few peaceful seconds.
"Hi." She smiled.
"Hi." He smiled back while tucking her hair behind her ears. "I don't like seeing you stressed."
"Then you're completely unaware of what it's like to have a conversation with you." She teased, kissing his pouty lip sweetly. "But if you were any different I wouldn't want you."
"And what a shame that would be."
Their lips pecked against each other's again before Caroline let out a deep exhale, looking over their Winter wonderland home to see what else needed to be done—there was quite a bit.
"You're still stressing." Klaus said when observing the stress line in her forehead.
Caroline scoffed turning to face him. "Uh, yeah! The tree is only half done, the outdoor lights are probably just slapped on like a pile of meat and did you not just see me pulling teeth just to get your sister to set a damn table!"
He chuckled to himself, kissing her wrinkled forehead and rubbing her arms to calm her.
"Rebekah is the laziest vampire I've ever known and I'm sorry about her behavior but love, she had point. We could've hired professionals to do all of the decorating and cooking in half the time. I have excellent recommendations from our last gathering. Money wouldn't have been an issue if that's what you were worrying about."
"Seriously? Do Mikaelsons know nothing about traditions?" She scoffed.
"Actually no, we don't. To be fair me and my siblings only began liking one another two years ago."
Caroline's lips pursed as she pushed his hands off of her. "This had nothing to do with money, and this isn't just any Christmas, it's our first Christmas with everyone home together and I wanted all of us to embrace all the holiday traditions as a family. Which includes forcing in-laws to do basic household tasks like decorating a damn tree."
"In-laws?" Klaus smirked.
Caroline's cheeks slightly reddened as she accessed the weight of her words. Her sweaty palms rubbed up and down her burgundy bodycon dress hastily.
"Shut up..." She mumbled, slapping his chest when his smirk grew.
"Look, Klaus I may not have grown up with a huge family but I did have a lot of friends who took that place. We decorated trees, hung lights, ate dinner together, drank more alcohol than legally allowed and enjoyed each other's company." She explained somberly. "They stopped me from feeling lonely every year and I always said when I had a family of my own those traditions wouldn't die, and now I do..."
The corners of Klaus's lips turned up into a soft grin at her shy doe blue eyes staring up at him through her thick lashes.
Klaus stepped forward, grabbing her by the hips. "I like this."
"What, my distress or me bossing you around?" She teased relaxing into his hold around her waist.
"You being in my family." He clarified. "I like that you're mine and hearing you consider this your home. You'll never be alone, love and I'm very much looking forward to many, many more Christmases to come with all the ridiculous traditions attached."
A warm smile made its way to her face as she observed the genuine contentment on his.
It was just as surreal for her too, but for Klaus to go centuries spending every holiday alone to now sharing it with an entire family, she knew how much these moments meant to him. But she was just as eager to spend the rest of eternity with him too.
Her hands reached up to his face to bring him in for a quick but effective kiss
She moaned into his mouth when he unexpectedly gripped her sides, tongues brushing as they stole a few more of these rare moments.
They were both dazed as Caroline pulled away.
"Thank you. I guess I'm kinda into you." She smiled while wiping her lipstick off his bottom lip with her thumb.
Klaus responded with another kiss, this one more urgent and than the last. His hand placements more determined and certain as squeezed her hips, riding up the skirt of her burgundy dress.
Caroline giggled against his lips.
"Nope. We can't right now..." She whispered, trying to show some restraint inspire of her body's craving.
"Come now love, I haven't had a second alone with you all day. Indulge me." He persisted, pulling her closer against his hard chest.
"There's still so much to do..." Her defenses slowly falling.
"That'll all get done momentarily. Besides, we are currently standing underneath a mistletoe. We must comply with all holiday traditions. Isn't that what you said?"
Caroline appeared slightly bewildered when looking up at the festive plant hanging over them, not remembering hanging it up there before peering down at her smirking hybrid. The inner conflict roaming in her head already a thing of the past when her hungry eyes made contact with his full bottom lip.
"Rules are rules." She agreed breathlessly, her arms now wrapped around his neck she happily succumbed to the surrender.
Not beating his tongue from invading her mouth and fingers scrunching up her dress as the oral exchange deepened into a more passionate frenzy.
Her sexual appetite no better than his, especially when being deprived of each other for longer than 10 minutes.
"Oh for fuck sake! Would you two get a room already?"
With a low groan, the couple detached their lips but remained wrapped in each other's arms despite Kol's rude interruption.
"Certainly. Every room in this house belongs to me after all." Klaus announced.
Kol tilted his head with a smile, leaning against the living room's wall with a glass of liquor in his hand and ankles crossed.
"I'm no prude and usually would be helping myself to the view of your public display of affection, however, someone has to save my precious nieces from the emotional scarring." He claimed. "Not to mention, I've been tortured enough today from hanging bloody Christmas lights with that moronic human all day. Last thing I need is a floor show featuring Caroline where I'm not participating."
The blonde's cheeks suddenly a deeper shade of blush pink while she held Klaus back by his chest.
"Say anything even remotely offensive towards her again and I'll rip out your heart through your throat. Understood?"
The younger Mikaelson grin spread menacingly at the beading gold hue in Klaus' eyes.
"Is it a proper Mikaelson gathering without a few death threats? Happy holidays to you too, brother." Kol lifted his glass to the couple before skipping out the room.
"Remind me to snap his neck while he's sleeping tonight." Klaus groaned.
"I don't get why you're still bothered by his remarks after all these years. You know how he is and how much he loves getting under your skin because you make it so easy. He's harmless."
"More like a pest." He scoffed. "And his habitual inappropriate comments towards you doesn't make it right Caroline and quite frankly, I'm over it. Why did you to invite him anyways?"
She raised an eyebrow. "Because I invited the entire family and last I checked he's your baby brother, who you've missed more than you want to admit."
"Debatable." Klaus muttered, causing Caroline to laugh as she trapped his lips with hers for a sweet kiss.
"Better?"
He smirked against her lips. "With you? Always."
Playfully rolling her eyes, she twirled away from his greedy hands.
"And speaking of the girls Lizzie just texted that she and Sebastian are about ten minutes away." Caroline informed, deflating Klaus' smile.
"Yes, how could I forget we allowed our naive 17 year old daughter to go on a solo road trip with a boy three centuries older than her." Klaus muttered.
"She's not alone."
His eyes narrowed at her teasing tone. "Caroline."
She giggled, fixing the collar of his shirt. "Lighten up. I thought we talked about this. You said you were going to stand down as overprotective dad when it came to the girls love lives."
"They're only 17 and 18 years old. They're not allowed to have love lives, especially with boys as old as I am." Klaus scolded.
"Weren't you the one who was more than thrilled to agree to Sebastian spending Christmas here?"
Klaus' face scrunched. " 'Thrilled' is a bit of a reach, love. More like you and Lizzie ambushed me with the invitation. I'd agree to anything for her to be here even if it meant agreeing to undesirables staying in my home."
The baby vampire's eyes narrowed. "Don't you think you're being a bit dramatic?"
"Dramatic?" His eyes widened. "Caroline, this ancient boy popped out of nowhere. Has shown a sudden interest in our very young and vulnerable daughter after knowing her for what, a few days? And has her so mind-warped he even managed to convince her to let him spend the bloody holidays in our family sanctuary. He's a stranger to all of us, so forgive me for being a bit skeptical."
Letting go of his collar Caroline took a step back, letting out a loud huff as she combed her fingers through her golden tresses frustratingly.
"If I say something you don't like, promise you won't throw a fit and ruin Christmas?"
"You think I'm being paranoid." He concluded for her.
She nodded while crossing her arms. "Yes, and unreasonable, and a bit of an ass."
"An ass?" His eyebrow quirked up.
"Very much so. Babe, I love you. I know you have nothing but good intentions when it comes to the girls but you need to stop. You have to trust them."
"I do. I've told you multiple times that was never the issue Caroline and you know it. Can't believe you're still insinuating otherwise." He barked.
"Seriously?" She scoffed. "Klaus look how you're reacting right now. It's Christmas! We're supposed to be cheerful and loving towards each other, not insulting and yelling. You try chalking up this behavior to being an overprotective parent but it's more than that. Deep down you don't trust that Lizzie can handle herself."
"You know that's not true." He claimed defensively.
"When you describe her as 'vulnerable' and 'naive' it sorta weakens your claim. It makes me feel like you don't trust me either when I keep reassuring you that everything's fine."
Klaus' features softened as he observed the clear irritation and concern on her face. The wrinkle in her forehead that swigged out whenever they argued shined in all its adorable glory, but for the first time he wasn't delighted to see it.
There was no one in the world he trusted more.
"Car-"
She raised her hand when he tried to step towards her.
"You're an amazing father Klaus, the best even. 90% of the time you're everything they need, and I try to not be jealous about it." Caroline confessed. "But that 10% is for who they are as young women, the parts of themselves they're not comfortable sharing with you. That's where I step in and give them all the advice you can't, like boys and hormones. Hard to believe but there are some things even Klaus Mikaelson isn't an expert on."
Klaus swallowed, feeling more guilty and ridiculous by the second despite Caroline's attempt at lightening the situation with a smile.
"Lizzie is doing good. She's stable and happy for the first time in so long and has no interests of messing up her progress. I know you worry and want to protect her but if she's ever going to be the free-spirited adventurer you always imagined her to be, you have to let her grow on her own. Let her make mistakes and be as normal of a teenager as she can. Believe me when I say nothing ruins the relationship between a father and daughter more than telling her she can't see the boy she likes."
Klaus winced imagining his bond with Lizzie being served over something as irrelevant as a stupid vampire boy.
Being in control of all aspects of his life was how he refrained from completely losing his mind. He was a leader, King of the French Quarter kingdom but these weren't his hybrid soldiers he could command—they were his family.
He nearly lost one daughter for not being there when she needed him, he couldn't make that same mistake with another—no matter the intentions.
"Bloody hell..." he groaned, tugging at his curls. "I've been a proper prick, haven't I?"
Caroline's eyes shifted upwards, pretending to ponder. "Only a little." She said while making Klaus lightly chuckle under his breath.
Biting her bottom lip she cautiously stepped towards him.
"We're not welcoming him into the family, just getting to know him. He makes Lizzie happy so we owe it to her to at least give him a chance." She said, grabbing his hands into hers and caressing the base with her thumb, feeling all the built up tension slowly being released from his body and the situation.
He tilted her chin up, making her crystallized blues peer into his. Her hands rested on his biceps while his free one tightly wrapped around her waist.
"I do trust you, more than anyone. Please tell me you know that." Klaus desperately pleaded.
Her eyes wandered his worried face and heart ached at his desperate tone.
Over the course of their relationship Caroline felt she had to jump through multiple hoops to smother Klaus with reassurance. Deep down she understood his insecurities about their relationship—if she was confident in choosing him and not hating herself for it—but she had some of her own as well, especially when it came to being a good mother.
Caroline slowly nodded.
"I know, but it's nice to hear you say it too." A soft smile made its way to her face.
Her arms circled around him before pulling her hybrid in for a kiss that dissipated the claustrophobic tension.
Klaus squeezed her hips as the kiss transitioned from languidly and slow to passionate and purposeful.
Their lips, warm and soft as they exhaled into each other's mouths. Standing underneath the mistletoe without a care in the world of who in their nosey family could walk in on them.
They were each other's last eternal love and were not going to hide it from anyone—especially during the happiest time of the year.
Caroline gripped his biceps again, softly moaning as she opened her mouth to him and Klaus was all too eager to comply to the request.
Ring. Ring. Ring.
The doorbell rang before their tongues could even touch.
"Ignore it." Klaus groaned while going in for another kiss.
"We can't just ignore the door." She weakly retorted as their lips hovered.
"Sweetheart there's a at least six other people in this house. Let them feel useful." He mused when his thumb released her bottom lip from the clutches of her teeth.
Caroline was on the verge of complying until the buzz of her cell phone on the piano distracted them both.
"What is with all the bloody interruptions?" Klaus groaned.
The baby vampire giggled as she wiggled out of his embrace to check the bright screen.
"Our daughter is the interruption. She and Sebastian are right outside. Try to play nice." Caroline encouraged, grinning into another quick kiss before walking towards the front door.
Klaus felt a surge of panic run through his body as he watched from afar as Caroline opened the door.
Her face lighting up at the sight of the young blonde girl in the doorway, pulling her teeth in for a tight hug that visibly embarrassed Lizzie but he knew deep down she appreciated it.
A small smile began forming at the corners of his lips watching them together, knowing they were two of the four lights of his life—his forever love and daughter both under the same roof with him again. For the first time all day he felt whole, finally having all his girls together again, even if it was only briefly.
Family was something Klaus never took advantage of, not anymore.
He tried to focus on the tender moment playing out in front of him instead of the the smirking brunette boy standing beside Lizzie in the doorway.
Klaus' smile faded and fists clenched when Sebastian greeted Caroline with a kiss on both cheeks.
This was the first time he had actually seen the other vampire fully.
No denying he was originated from a different era, based on his ruffled white shirt, boots and blazer like a pirate. Lizzie explained that Sebastian was desiccated as a teenager but he still had a mature aura that made Klaus uncomfortable. His features so sharp and defined, it made him seem much older than he claimed. Too mature for a newly 17 year old girl to be with—Klaus thought.
"And these are for you, Headmistress Forbes. Elizabeth informed me that you fancy white lilies."
Klaus overheard the youngster using his charm on Caroline and based on her flattered reaction and an 'aw you didn't have to' quickly following, it seemed to be working.
-I hate this.
Klaus's chest compressed as the three began walking towards him with beaming smiles on all faces except the boy. Instantly noticing the young couple's fingers interlocked together while Lizzie and Caroline talked and Sebastian's eyes wandered around the mansion curiously.
-I really hate this...
He let out a deep exhale as a smile shaped his lips as the enthusiastic young witch skipped into his arms.
"Merry Christmas Klaus!" Lizzie beamed as their hug tightened.
The nerves that had piled up in Klaus' throat dissipated at the warm greeting from just one of the four lights in his life. It was difficult to imagine the centuries he went without physical affection given how habitual the act was now.
It had barely been two months since he last saw Lizzie but it felt like forever now that she was back home—her real home.
Rubbing her back and kissing the top of her head, Klaus slightly pulled away with one arm still around her.
"Merry Christmas sweetheart. How was the drive?"
"Great. I mean, Uncle Damon's burnt down Camaro is as ancient as he is and I nearly broke a nail operating the stick shift, but overall no complaints."
Klaus nodded his head, making a mental note to dispose of the Salvatore hand-me-down and buy Lizzie a brand new car.
"All that matters is that you're finally here safe and sound." Caroline beamed as she hugged her once more. "Everyone else is probably in the kitchen, slacking on their tasks but they'll be happy to see you."
Expecting everyone to follow her to the room but instead stood in confusion as no one moves.
Lizzie's feet stayed planted, biting her lip anxiously while pulling at the fabric of her white sweater like she wanted to rip it in half
"Um actually, before the rest of our dysfunctional family joins in on all the awkward fun that is to surely take place, I want to officially introduce someone to both of you first."
Klaus felt like the wind was knocked out of him when she took a step backwards to join the young vampire's side. Trying to keep his temper at bay when their hands joined again.
"This is Sebastian. He's a new student at the boarding school and my...my boyfriend." She timidly announced.
Another punch to the core.
Klaus' face was neutral but his body was stiff as a board from the pent up frustration that came with watching your child grow up right in front of you.
He tried to keep in mind the conversation he and Caroline just shared—easier said than done.
"It's nice to officially meet you Sebastian. We've heard great things about you. We're glad you were able to spend Christmas with us." Caroline greeted him.
"No, I'm the grateful one for you Headmistress. Not just for allowing me into your home for the holidays but also enrolling me into the school at the last minute. I see where Elizabeth gets her generosity from." Sebastian charmed.
Klaus' eyes couldn't roll harder, even more from how much Caroline was actually being affected by such mediocre charm. Her bright smile and modest blush that were once only preserved for him now being used on a amateur immortal with accent was sickening.
"It's an honor to finally put a face to the name, sir." Sebastian said with a nervous closed-lipped smile, stepping forward with his hand out.
Klaus stared down at the boy's hand, studied it like it was a foreign object as the three impatiently waited for him to make the next move. A handshake was final, a sign of respect and approval—he definitely didn't approve of him just yet.
He didn't like like this boy and if it were up to him his heart would be rolling in the ice cold snow for even gazing in Lizzie's direction. But he owed it to both Lizzie, and Caroline, to prove he trusted her.
Drawing out a dramatic exhale through his nose, Klaus uncrossed his arms as he locked eyes with the immortal boy. His jaw set and body tense when engulfing Sebastian's hand in a death grip, finally reciprocating the formal gesture.
"Um, Lizzie why don't we go find a nice vase to put these lilies in." Caroline suggested.
"You mean leave them alone, together?" Lizzie laughed. "Yeah, thanks but no thanks mom. I would prefer to return to Mystic Falls with my boyfriend in one piece."
Klaus chuckled at the nervous gulp dropping down Sebastian's throat.
"Sweetheart I promise, I won't kill him. Go on." He assured her with a sinister smile he usually wore before ripping out someone's spleen.
Relieved when she reluctantly followed Caroline out of the room, he set his focus back on the bug-eyed vampire in front of him.
"Unlucky for you I'm not big on keeping promises." Klaus gripped Sebastian's hand even harder—making him wince in pain and jerking himself forward.
"Mister Mikaelson—"
"Except when it comes to my family." Klaus added. "You'd be wise to remember the only reason your limbs aren't scattered around the bloody bayou and heart remains in your chest is because of Lizzie."
Sebastian frantically nodded, groaning from the pulsating ache in his right hand when Klaus finally released it from his hold.
Klaus took a step back, dipping his hands into his pants pockets as he watched the vampire boy massage his own hand. The vampire boy who was spending the next couple of days under his roof, charming his family. The vampire boy who captured Lizzie's heart and knowing there was nothing he could do about it—to protect her.
He sighed looking down at his shoes. "Do you care about her?"
Sebastian paused for a few seconds before nodding his head.
Klaus pressed his lips into a straight line as he walked dangerously slow towards the boy. "Usually I wouldn't tell a stranger this but you're not someone I consider a threat, Lizzie means everything to me. There is absolutely nothing I wouldn't do for her and that includes torturing and mutilating anyone who dares to hurt her in anyway. Understood?"
The vampire gulped when he tripped over the carpet, now realizing how close their chests were to each other's and his back to the wall.
"She's been through quite a lot in her short life and doesn't need an ancient delinquent ruining how far she's come. So I ask again, do you care about her?"
"Me and Elizabeth had our issues in the beginning, I'll admit." Sebastian shamefully confessed. "I—I did hurt her, rather cruelly, and by all unknown good graces she found it in herself to forgive me and grant us a second chance. Deep down I know I don't deserve the your daughter's love and care but, she's the first person in centuries who sees me as a man instead of a monster. Who thinks I'm worth a second chance. It'd be senseless of me to not see what this could become and the past couple of months have proven the future to be bright. So yes, Mister Mikaelson I care about Elizabeth immensely and will leave before I ever hurt her again."
The hybrid shook his head, a small laugh following after. "I know that story, all too well." Cleared the emotional lump in his throat.
It felt like looking into the mirror of he and Caroline's journey. How they originated in hate and hurt. The amount of chances she gave him, the way they saw each other in ways no one else could and the frogs she had to kiss along the way before choosing him as her forever.
Not that Klaus was rallying for this boy to steal Lizzie away, but he was beginning to understand the their draw to one another. Thankfully they wouldn't have to face similar challenges but there were sure to be new ones, and he'd be there by her side—if she needed him.
"Well, I will say I appreciate your honesty."
"I didn't want my first impression to be based under false pretenses." Sebastian grinned with a shrug. "Though she tells me not to worry, your opinion about me does matter. The Headmistress as well but from what Elizabeth has told me, you two are quite close. She values your insights and opinions more than anyone's. Given your infamous and intimidating reputation, it was actually less awkward meeting you than the hairy mortal with a crossbow."
Klaus threw his head back, laughing hysterically.
"You should've seen when he actually tried using that contraption on me. Free comic relief. I'm sure he has one with your name on it as well."
Sebastian snickered. "Yes, actually he's already threatened me with it a few times. Threats and all, I'm glad she has a family who cares about her to this extent. It's refreshing...to someone who is foreign to such familial love."
Klaus understood this boy better than he'd ever admit.
Sighing, Klaus placed his hands in his pants pockets again.
"Come on. It's going to be a long weekend and you haven't even scratched the surface of meeting our entire family."

Butterflies and Bandaids pt.7- Anniversary
Butterflies and bandaids chapter.7 -
Anniversary
word count. 5.3k (lord)
warnings: smut (finally)
Y/n feels like she’s been on cloud nine the last new weeks, and she woke up with a surge of happiness yet again today because it marked her and Harry’s one month anniversary. She was ecstatic, she knew he had planned a special little evening for them since they were lucky enough that their anniversary landed on a Friday, and even more lucky Anne was going out of town this weekend so they had his house to themselves without the threat of toddlers or parents intruding on their night. Y/n was also extremely excited because she’s been having some rather intimate dreams about her boyfriend for the past few days, and she thought this night would be a good night to try and bring those dreams to reality.
Harry on the other hand, felt a bit nervous about his date he set up for them in honor of the day, he wanted everything to be perfect because she deserves the best. He refused to settle for any less for his angel. He felt confident enough about his schedule for the evening, he decided he’d take her to their favorite little diner, snag some booze Gemma had agreed to buy him and walk to the treehouse his dad had built him when he was little in the woodsy part of his backyard. Her and Harry still hung out in there from time to time, when some alone time was needed and he definitely liked that her siblings didn’t know about it and his mother never checked it since he told her it’s full of spiders (it isn’t, he always cleans it so Y/n doesn’t panic over bugs that may be looming inside the wooden structure, but he needed an excuse for his mum to never check up there) .
He brought up the battery powered Christmas lights and strung them along the trim on the ceiling and made sure to clean up any leaves and rouge spider webs from the corners, sweeping the throw rug that decorates the floor and tidying the small couch and few beanbags that sat in there. He wanted it to be perfect, romantic, cozy and exactly how his girl likes it to be. He even brought in her favorite blankets he has and a few extra pillows, stashing the bottle of vodka behind the sofa and putting the presents he got her on the cushion making sure it all looked good.
He knew it was silly to be so nervous, but he always wanted to make Y/n feel special. She’s the girl he loves, and he loves the way her eyes light up when he does something she finds endearing, the way she cuddles into him when he brings his laptop up there with an extra long extension cord so he can keep it charged from the outdoor plugs while they watch movies and random YouTube videos together. He certainly doesn’t mind the make out sessions she awards him with when he makes her really happy, and he never fails to melt when she giggles at his corny jokes while they lay together up in their tree house, in their own little world.
Harry had set everything up perfectly, even grabbing a door stopper and extra lock incase they decided to spend the night out there so he could feel 100% confident that no rouge tree dwelling burglar could get in and take away his princess. He knows it’s rather dramatic, but he doesn’t want any chance of anything bad happening to her.
He gave the space a good once over, making sure the rather spacious treehouse was up to his standards, making sure the little glass windows were sealed, and the curtains were drawn, the door was maintained enough to not be so squeaky and he had enough extension cords to keep the computer, and their phones charged. Once he decided it was perfect he made his way back down the ladder and went to get himself cleaned up and ready.
__
Y/n was finishing taming her curls and putting on her makeup when a light knock sounded on her bedroom door, a smiling Harry peaking his head in after and giving the girl a coo.
“Hey love, you ready for our date?” he felt like he sounded a bit awkward and cliché the way he said it, like a badly scripted Disney teen movie, but his insecurities washed away when she gave him her biggest smile putting her mascara down and jumping to her feet to hug him. Her little body fit right inside his arms, his nose breathing in the scent of her freshly washed rose smelling curls and her floral perfume that he loved. He’d even made her spray his bed with some of it so he always smells her when he’s going to bed.
“Missed you H, know I saw you yesterday but I still missed you and thought about you all day.” She was beaming as she tipped her head up, chin resting on his sternum as she spoke to him, receiving a happy hum and few smacking kisses to her cherry flavored lips. “You ready doll? Got everything set up for us.”
When she nodded and broke free from his hold to grab her bag he couldn’t help the wide grin on his face, watching her have a little bounce in her step since she was excited grabbing his hand and leading him towards the front door, managing to dodge the babies and prying eyes of her older siblings as they made a mad dash out of the crowded home.
__
“guess what?” Y/n proposed as she finished chewing her bite of melon she had ordered with her food, she always chose fruit salad as her side yet had a bad habit of snagging a few (most of) Harry’s typical side of fries.
“What’s that darlin’?” Harry had his chin resting on his palm as he played into Y/n’s playful tone, he swears he’s never felt more content then he does sitting in the dingy little family run diner with his girl then he’s ever felt in his life. “I got you a present!” she clapped her hands for a beat before squirming excitedly in her side of the booth, doing a little happy dance as he chuckled at her silly antics. “Yea? I got you one too babe, goin’ ta’ give it to you after dinner.” Y/n gasped lightly and shifted to sit on her knees, “Really?! I’m so excited!”
The older boy laughed before leaning forward to peck her a few times, “ ‘m excited too, can swap gifts. Hope you like yours. After 10 years of friendship I still sometimes draw a blank when figuring out what to get ya’, gotta work on being so picky love.” His tone was teasing and he gave a playful eyeroll which she stuck her tongue out at. “I’ll love it, because it’s from you and I love you.”
Harry swears his heart did a back flip in his chest, he’s heard her say it thousands of times yet every time it still makes him putty in the palm of her hand. He wasn’t ashamed to admit, he was deeply, helplessly in love with her.
The pair never let go of each other’s hands as they made the trek back to Harry’s home, him giving her a slight fond squeeze of her hand when she got giddy realizing he was leading her to their special hang out spot. She always adored that treehouse, they went from playing ‘house’ in it as little kids to now using it as their own little sanctuary where they got to be in their own little world together. Two young people in love, happily in their own little house where nothing could bother them. She think’s it might be her favorite place on earth.
“you go up first, love. Gonna come behind you incase ya’ lose your footing. Bit hard to see, forgot how dark it gets in the fall.” Harry stood at the bottom of the ladder while she quickly climbed up, turning to scoot her bum up over the ledge onto the little deck that wrapped around the structure. Getting herself steady before standing up and leaning against the railing that secured the deck, waiting for Harry to climb up so he could unlock it. “oh my god!” her voice was an octave higher showing her surprise and joy seeing the cozy set up he prepared for her. The lights twinkled as they hung from the ceiling, their writing and carvings illuminated by them showing the scribbles of ‘Y/n and Harry allowed ONLY!’ and little flowers and stick figures they carved into the wooden walls and floors as little kids when Harry got a pocket knife from his boy scouts troop.
“You like it?” Harry scratched the back of his neck bashfully as he took in the joy radiating off her, stumbling a bit as she threw herself into his arms, her legs wrapping around his legs as he managed to catch her and hold her up spinning in a circle giggling with her while kissing all over her pinched up cheeks. “I love it! Aw Hazzy I love you so much! You’re the sweetest boy in the whole wide world!” she planted exactly 6 kisses on his lips while he fumbled around closing and locking the door while keeping her held in his arms. “I love you more sweetness, I’m glad you like it. C’mon got presents waiting princess.”
Once Y/n had her feet firmly planted on the ground once more, she tossed herself onto the couch taking the box he had waiting for her into her lap, rummaging through her bag to grab the box she had for him.
“Open yours first H.” Y/n insisted as she thrust the pastel, wrapped box into his lap. She used her special wrapping paper, the nice expensive one with a darling design of clementine’s and cherries on it along with other assorted fruits. The paper was special, Harry even knew the back story about how her grandmother had given her the wrapping when she was young and how it was twenty whole dollars. She had adamantly told him she was saving it for a special occasion and he couldn’t help but coo knowing he was special enough for her most prized decorations. “c’mon! Open it Harry” if Y/n had one flaw, which he doesn’t even consider it a flaw because to him she’s perfect, it’s her impatience.
“alright alright, don’t get ya’ knickers in a twist love.” Harry made sure he was careful when unwrapping it, going along with the tape so he could save the paper later in his little memory box he has with all the special things and memories he has of her, she has one of him too and of course their siblings teased them for being cheesy when they first started collecting items when they were 8 and 10.
When he managed to perfectly strip the box of the paper, he felt butterflies invade his tummy, his own excitement building as he opened the gift. He was met with a soft velvet interior lining the jewelry box. Inside was a second box but littering around it were pictures of the two, the notes they’d passed to each other in class, a pack of bubblegum and a gift card to his favorite clothing store. Harry blew out a breath taking it in, his eyes crinkling in their corners from his wide grin. His dimples sunk deep into his cheeks, and his eyes almost teared up. “This is absolutely adorable..” he pried the second box out of the wooden jewelry box, taking in his girlfriends excited feet tapping on the floor and her giggles as he cracked open the second part of the gift, finding a gold locket in the shape of a heart. He held it up by it’s chain seeing the charm dangle and shimmer in the gentle lights, his heart becoming a puddle in his chest as he saw the date they got together engraved on the front of the heart and her name engraved on the back, opening it to see a tiny picture of the duo both blowing bubbles with their favorite pink bubble gum. As silly as it is, they hold their sweets close to their hearts because if she hadn’t been chewing it the day he met her, she wouldn’t have the nickname he gave her, they wouldn’t have a special treat they only share with each other, and they wouldn’t have a shrunken down picture of them at 10 and 12 years old, blowing bubbles right at the camera with an ‘I love you’ carved on the rim of it. Harry felt his eye’s get misty as he took it in. “I love it honey…this is the best gift I’ve ever gotten thank you bubble gum.” She blushed and batted her eyelashes a bit as she secured the jewelry around his neck, “I love you Harry”, his arms wrapped around her bringing her into his lap as he mumbled how much he loved her and appreciated the gift, kissing her a couple times before allowing her to sit in his lap so she can open her gift.
He watched her pink painted nails undo the ribbon, popping the top of the gift box off squealing excitedly at the pile of treasures he gave her. Her favorite sweater of his, one she wears all the time and never wants to give back, a little notebook with pressed flowers in it, little love notes to her written on the pages around the plants and a jewelry box similar to the one she gave him sitting on top. “Looks like we had the same idea H” she smiled as she held up the chain that had his name on it, while a bit narcissistic she loved that he was a bit possessive over her and how she got to wear her love’s name above her heart, “Great minds think alike huh?”.
The pair continued to gush over their gifts as he used his nimble fingers to fasten the jewelry onto her. her fingers toyed with the necklace as they talked, endless ‘I love you’s’ and ‘i’m never taking this off’ were said over the next few minutes while he prepared the laptop for their viewing.
“This movie is awful but I can’t look away.” Y/n commented as she watched the horrible lifetime movie, the actors sounded like they were first graders being forced to read in front of their class. “She sounds like she’s in pain” Harry snorted taking a sip of his vodka fruit punch mixed drink he held securely in his palm, he didn’t plan to get drunk but it’s always nice to have a little buzz going.
“I don’t know why I love terrible movies so much, at this point I think I may just enjoy bullying actors.” Y/n smacked his chest lightly and grabbed his cup taking a sip before cringing a bit as she swallowed it, Harry laughing at her pained expression, “Bit strong for you eh? Maybe that’ll teach ya’ not to steal my drinks ma’am” Y/n flipped him off before taking another sip sticking her tongue out before handing it back. “Yea…I’ll stick to wine coolers and sugary booze.” “what did I tell ya’ about being picky?” this only got him an eyeroll before she turned towards him, laying herself down so her heads in his lap letting him toy with her hair while she watched the laptop screen. Both of them simply content with being in each others arms.
“Harry?” “yea love?” “wanna know a secret?” she had a playful little smirk decorating her pretty face and she looked up at him, both of them feeling a tad bit warm and fuzzy feeling a small buzz take over their bodies. “Ooo a secret? Do tell!” Y/n sat up and leaned against the back of the couch her cheek pressed to the leather. “You sure you wanna know? It’s a little naughty” This got the boys ears to perk up and his eyes to meet hers, “Naughty?” “very” Harry took a deep breath while searching her eyes, coming back with a look he’s seen before but never on her, her eyes looked almost sultry with her bottom lip caught slightly between her teeth, “Tell me” he swallowed hard watching her lean forward to whisper in his ear “I’ve been having naughty dreams about you” she leaned back with a playful smile on her face while he licked over his lips. He set his cup down before leaning back into the throw pillows, resting his arm along the back of the couch “Oh yea? Care to elaborate…set the scene for me baby” his eyes flicked from her feet to her eyes, lingering for a tick on the imprint of her perky breasts on her shirt. Y/n giggled quietly walking her fingers on his knee still too shy to make eye contact. “Not sure I should, told ya’ it’s naughty Harry” she blew a raspberry through her plump lips, leaning back over to whisper in his ear cupping her hand around the shell of his ear, even though they were the only people around “I dreamed about going down on you…and f-fucking you” she pulled away with red cheeks and his eyes widened, the butterflies returning to his stomach and his muscles tensing for a second.
“Yea? You dreamed about playing with me doll face?” he got a shy nod and giggle in return, but Harry wanted more than that. “No no, tell me. Say it out loud, tell me what you dreamed about princess” Y/n took a deep breath, letting him pet her cheek a bit “C’mon can tell me, won’t get upset tell me baby” he leaned forward to kiss her gently before pulling away, and Y/n felt a bit of confidence surge through her, “I was watching porn before I went to bed.. and playing with myself…and I had a dream about sucking your…-“ “say it princess, c’mon can say it” “dreamed about sucking your cock” she said the dirty word with a hint of nervousness, her shyness peaking through a bit. Harry couldn’t help the groan that fought it’s way through his throat hearing her say such dirty things. God he loved it. “Really? Played with your pussy before dreaming about putting my cock in that sweet mouth? Yea? What else, go on tell m’ pet.” Y/n chewed on her lip a bit, scooting a bit closer to her boyfriend. “I dreamed about you putting it in me…taking my virginity…and when I woke up I had to…touch myself in the shower”
A smirk tugged at his lips, her words getting his cock to plump up a bit behind it’s denim confines. His tongue darting out to wet his lips yet again, “Is that what you want love? You want me to fuck ya’?” she slowly nodded her head before popping her lips, “I do…but not yet. Tonight I wanted to try…sucking you off and..i wanted to know what it feels like for someone to lick down there.” she was adorable, her shy innocence fighting with her hormone, and it made Harry even more turned on. His fantasies he repressed for so long coming to life, to say he was willing was the largest understatement of the century.
His hands quickly darted out to pull her into his lap, getting a squeak from her out of surprise her giggles showering his ears as she got situated on his thighs. “Ya’ wanna give me a blowie and let me eat your pussy for our anniversary? Fuck doll, I’m down.” His deep chuckle vibrated her ribcage as he pressed her body into his, “I’ve never done it before…you got ta’ teach me how to do it Harry” “would be a pleasure, princess.”
Soon the pair found themselves with their tongues in each other’s mouths, massaging them together as they tugged on each others clothes. Harry guided Y/n’s hips to grind down on his very prominent bulge, his thumbs pressed into her hip bones as he dragged her back and forth over the tent his groans getting swallowed by her mouth that’s locked on his, her breath hitching every time he nudges her clit on the seam of her jeans, tugging them a bit to define her cunt through the material making sure she’s getting as much friction as he is. “G-god fuck love, cmon I’m gonna cum in my pants if we keep humping like rabbits. Think you’re ready to try giving me head?” he held her chin with his fingers to make her look at him, getting a dreamy “uh huh” in response as she slowly drifted from his lap onto her knees on the floor. Letting Harry take his belt off, sitting back and letting him undo his button and zipper pushing his pants off his hips, letting them rest on his mid-thigh while she comes face to face with his lightly clothed manhood. “C’mon, take me out pet. Don’t gotta be scared, ‘m not gonna hurt ya’.” Harry was trying to keep himself from squirming in his seat while he watched Y/n slowly reach forward to pull the waistband of his boxers down, seeing her flinch slightly as his cock popped out hitting his belly button through his shirt as he sprang free.
Her eyes widened as she took in the sight of his cock, bare and bobbing with every beat of his heart from how hard he is. He was big, intimidatingly large. She looked at the vein running up the underside of his cock, his pubic hair and his swollen balls. She admired how his foreskin retracted behind the crown of his cock leaving his red leaking tip fully out to see. “Woahi-it’s bigger than ones I’ve seen” Harry loved the praise, how could he not? His girlfriend gawking at his junk while telling him how big he is, he felt like he’d bust just hearing her talk. “Touch it…wrap your hand around me…ah fuck yea like that…squeeze a little bit there you go. Good fuckin’ girl lovie.”
Y/n smiled a bit at the praise, feeling herself get a little surer of herself as she stroked his cock like he instructed her to, feeling her chest swell with dirty pride as he continued to praise her. “Alright, lick the tip right there, tongue flat there you go” she did as she was told, giving the crown of his cock kitten licks before taking her own initiative and licking from the base of his shaft to the little slit in his tip loving how he moaned for her and tugged her hair a bit. “Don’t tease me baby, put the tip in your mouth and suck like a lollipop.”
Y/n pushed his tip between her lips, sucking on it like a sweet a she taught her feeling his thighs clench as she sucked harder moving to take a bit more into her warm mouth sucking till her cheeks hollowed around him, the flesh of her cheeks massaging his cock like velvet. Warm, wet, velvet.
“feels so fucking good darlin’, got no idea how good you’re doing…tuck your lips under ya’ teeth try not to bite down…just like that, doing so good such a fast learner baby. Good girl y/n, good girl.” His eyes struggled to stay open as she started inching deeper bobbing her head slightly. He felt her constrict a bit as his tip pushed her uvula back, he quickly pulled her head off giving her a chance to breathe,
“Don’t push too hard baby, don’t want ya’ to get sick on me. When you try to take me in your throat keep it open, like if you’re singing or yelling, open that pretty throat up. If ya’ spit up a bit on accident it’s alright. It’s your first-time sweetheart.” He gave her cheek a gentle petting before letting her sink down on him again, taking his advice and keeping her throat relaxed and open while his tip brushed the back of her warm, slick throat. He was a moaning mess as his eyes screwed shut, feeling her salivate so much at the stimulation of her throat it was dripping down his shaft and puddling on his balls.
He was in heaven. He knew he didn’t have much time left when he felt her small hand move to massage her spit on his swollen balls moving back a bit so his cocks not as deep letting her tongue massage the underside of his shaft while suckling his tip. “sh-shit, shit doll I’m gonna cum…fuck atta girl, where do you want it? Your mouth? Fuck baby s-stop sucking yo- oh- fuck!” Harry couldn’t control the bucking of his hips while his balls constricted, pulling towards his body while still in her grasp spilling his cum into her mouth and onto her lips some dribbling onto her chin as she pulled off him.
Harry was dazed for a minute, post orgasmic haze overtaking his mind as he experienced the wave of euphoria. When he finally opened his eyes he saw his girl still on her knees holding his cum in her mouth, looking at him with big doe eyes with some of his seed dripping off her face onto her shirt. He chuckled a bit seeing her, “Can swallow it if you want” she squinted her eyes a bit and he breathed out a bit “Don’t want to? Doesn’t taste nice? Salty innit? Can spit love, here” he held a empty red plastic cup under her chin watching as she spit his rather large load into it, wiping her mouth on the back of her hand. “Sorry…but Harry it was really salty…like sea water” she cringed a bit and he laughed. “Yea, I’ll start eating more fruit and staying hydrated so my cum doesn’t taste as bad next time. Sorry baby.”
“it’s okay H…did I do a good job?” she rested her palms on his knees, eagerly awaiting his response a proud grin plastered on his face as he nodded. “Fuck yea, did amazing baby. Made me cum like a gallon, you’re a natural just gotta work on watching the teeth. You did great, you’re a good girl princess. So proud of you, made me feel amazing I promise.” Harry didn’t care about the lingering taste of him on her tongue as he kissed her, tongues battling for dominance ad he pulled her up and laid her down on the sofa. Her back came in contact with the cool leather, her warm body relaxing into the comforting coolness.
“Think it’s your turn angel, want me to eat your pussy love? God, I’m gonna be the first person to get a taste of your pretty peach. Gonna make ya’ feel good yea? If you don’t like something then tell me, got it?” Y/n nodded quickly, letting him rid her of her shirt lifting her back so she could undo the clasps. When her tits finally came into his view, Harry made a pathetic whimpering noise, she’s fucking gorgeous. His hands groped at the buds while his mouth and tongue worked on her neck. She was already a writhing moaning mess just from his simple touches alone. He knew she was hyper sensitive, she had mentioned she started her cycle soon so he assumed it was her ovulating time. he learned in health class that during ovulation women are more sensitive, and he honestly loved the fact she was so sensitive for the first time he eats her out. He wanted her to feel every single movement of his tongue against her.
He slowly made his way over the valley of her breasts, sucking on and toying with her pink, taunt nipples while using his knee to grind against her still clothed cunt. The friction was driving her up the wall, feeling close already. She knew she wouldn‘t last too long but she didn’t care, she felt amazing.
His fingers made quick work of her pants, tugging the tight jeans off her legs revealing her pale yellow, lace panties that were sticky with her arousal, slippery even through the fabric, so much so she was dripping down her thighs. “Christ pet…look at you, making a mess huh? Who got you this wet sweetheart?” “Y-you, god you Harry please touch me, please it’s aching now” her pleads had his eyes rolling back, hooking his thumbs into her waistband and dragging them off her body, shamelessly bringing the crotch of her underwear up to his face to inhale her scent and suck her juice off the lace.
His senses were on high alert while he did it, he swears he could feel every nerve in his body tingling, every taste bud on his tongue dancing with her sweet, heady slickness. Her panties were shoved into his back pocket, deciding he’d keep them for later when he tugs his cock when he can’t sleep, he wanted to smell her pussy while he thought of her.
Soon, his body was situated stomach down on the couch, face level with her dripping quivering heat, his fingers running over the trimmed pubic hair she chose to keep on her mound, his other hand tracing the shape of her sex, teasing her, watching her pussy quiver every time he ghosted over her split lips her hips shaking as he finally gave her what she wanted, he went nose deep between her pretty lips breathing her in as he lapped at her core. He had to pin her hips down, her sensitive womanhood being serviced by his tongue was making her body jolt and buck into the air, and he wouldn’t have that. No, he was going to keep his mouth attached to her peach as long as he could. He was like an addict taking a hit while he was between her legs, his drug of choice was definitely Y/n .
“H-harry oh shit! O-oh god I f-feel it my tummy, i-im go-gonna… Harry I’m gonna cum!” her voice wavered as she took in frantic breaths, one hand tugging his hair harshly the other toying with her nipples. Harry replied only with a grunt and a speeding of his tongue on her clit, using his thumb to pull her hood back so he had direct access to the bundle of nerves she had tucked between her legs, and soon enough she was convulsing, dribbling down his chin and gasping for air like a fish out of water. She was a quivering mess as he sucked her juices right from the source, not letting up till she had to push his head away, snapping her thighs shut from the over stimulation. Letting himself linger over her watching her face a she drowned in pleasure, pleasure he gave her.
His thumbs gently rubbed against the apples of her cheeks while he watched her try to even out her breathing, her lips trembling a little from how intense she’d just came. “My pretty girl, hi sweetness I see you there. C’mon come back to me, deep breaths you’re alright. Are these good tears bunny? Felt so good made your eyes water? Good, that’s okay, don’t worry it can happen. You did such a good job tonight sweetheart. Proud of ya’, look so beautiful could stare at you forever. Open your eyes princess, eyes on mine wanna see my girl, there you go..”
Y/n used all the strength she had left to look back at Harry, her eyes misty from the intensity and her body trembling under him, “You okay love? Just a bit overwhelmed huh?” she nodded, swallowing harshly trying to wet her dry throat after all the moaning and screaming she’d done. “F-felt go-good, liked it h-harry” she couldn’t help the stutter from her shaky jaw, but Harry didn’t mind. He stared down at his girl with so much love and adoration, she had never felt better.
“I’m glad honey, can do it for you any time you want, yea? Lets go inside, wanna get cleaned up? Can go to bed then, see you’re all sleepy now huh? Cmon, think we’ve celebrated this anniversary right. Can’t wait till next month.”

Huey and D'jinn possible parallels
As we know, Huey is the center of this season and even if he wasn't present in all the episodes, the ones in which he appears are excelent and contribute for some character development. I bet we are going to see paralels between him and other characters. Dewey has Della, Jormungandr in the neutral side and Don Karnage in the villain side, Louie has Goldie and Gladstone. Huey has Fenton, maybe Gyro, Donald and definetly Fethry Duck, Boyd and Violet Sabrewing. But what if he had parallels with someone who isn't science-related? Someone who has more common grounds in terms of liking history other than Violet (who is now a recurring character)? I have a feeling that it's a side character who is going to return not that soon but in the last episodes.
I'm talking about Faris D'jinn and in this (long) post I'm going to explain why.
First of all, their (brief) interactions. Huey was the first member of the Duck family to meet D'jinn and he was the one who asked if him and Amunet were ok in Moonvasion!
Tumblr media
Now this may be very brief but I theorise Huey is going to have more conversations with Faris the next time he appears. They have many things in common after all.
What are those things you may ask? Apart of wearing red in their clothes.
Well, that is the second point. Both like order and things going their way because it makes them easy and in Huey's case, secure.
D'jinn had one thing in mind in all the Treasure of the Found Lamp! episode: To find the lamp of his ancestors in his birthday or devastating consequences would happen aka he's going to be sad. This could count as hyperfocusing on something, that would be the lamp and the story behind it.
He was so concentrated on that matter that he involved the duck family in a quest that some of them (Scrooge and Louie) didn't want to be part of, but felt they have no choice.
This reminds me of the episode where it was Scrooge's birthday and Huey wanted to prove that he could be a better party planner than Duckworth (the already deceased buttler) to the point of only for one second to transform into "the Duke", you know, that facet of Huey that cames to life when a great injustice was made like when Mark Beaks made Dewey the superior of Huey despite the fact that the Blue One didn't put as much effort as the Red One or when a boss character ruins his carefully cultivated farm plot in Legends of Legendquest and the older sibling went mad.
Well, D'jinn had moments that from his point of view count as injustices too. First the lamp was stolen centuries ago, then he finds where it is and goes to Scrooge to have it back, then the old duck tells him the lamp was misplaced. Since Faris had a schedule that he must complete before it's too late, he proposes to find the lamp in a rather...intense way that ends up scaring the ducks. Then he goes to Itaquack and spends maybe hours solving riddles and he knows they are stalling him and gets more impatient. THEN he discovers the lamp was stolen AGAIN under his nose by Ma Beagle and that he was SO close to obtain it right there. These last things of course couldn't happen as the quest was fake but Faris didn't know that.
While I don't think D'jinn has a whole "Duke" persona, he has little moments of intensity that instead of helping him only makes things worse.
It's because these moments of intensity and misunderstandings that the ducks had to make a false quest to obtain more time and stop D'jinn for...wanting to kill them.
No, seriously, the family thought they were death duck meat if they didn't find the lamp which again it's a big misunderstanding, as we found out Faris isn't the kind of guy who is violent just because and he wouldn't kill enemies.
Look, D'jinn is my favorite side character in all Ducktales and I even made a big analysis of why he is a great character a year ago. But... guy has poor communication skills. Let's admit it, many of you wouldn't stay in the same room as someone who not only is very (very) dramatic but also has weapons at their disposition.
Tumblr media
Anyway going back to Huey...the Red Bean also has problems with communication. For example, as @pholux-twg pointed out, many things could have been resolved if only Huey had the time to explain his insecurities and point of view in The Trickening!, something he didn't do well in Scrooge's birthday.
And talking about that episode again, he was pushing his siblings to do the perfect birthday for Scrooge, something that Scrooge himself didn't want to. Huey had good intentions when trying to organize the party but his actions and considerations of other people's feelings were not productive, just like D'jinn had good intentions at getting the lamp back but the way he tried to obtain it just scared everybody.
Tumblr media
Also to me it is very amusing that D'jinn is a warrior who trusts everybody so much (I mean, he didn't stop to consider if Ma Beagle was lying about the lamp, he believed her inmediatly) and falls for simple jokes as the "got your nose" joke. It is possible that he's not that naive but simply he doesn't really know when somebody is lying or not even if it's very obvious. Just like Huey is Mister "I'm not good at imagination stuff" D'jinn could be "I'm not good at detecting lies and metaphorical jokes"
Tumblr media
Then we have the scroll that D'jinn owns and it has the story of his family, his quest for the perfect birthday gift and maybe more information, he writes on it what he has accomplished and that reminds me of the Junior Woodchuck Guidebook that Huey has for guidance. We don't know what could happen if Faris lost the scroll because it seems that he also uses it for guidance in his quests (or in the quest of his life)
Tumblr media
Gif belong to @pholux-twg , @stevenfallsvs and @greatgamedota
Also I would like to point out that Huey had moments of stimming in Season 3 and I think D'jinn had moments of this in his debut episode...if spinning his sword many times counts as stimming, because maybe is a cool thing that he does when trying to impresionte those around him but maybe...just maybe he spins his sword when experiencing strong emotions like:
Tumblr media
Anger
Tumblr media
Determination
Tumblr media
Hapiness
But wait you would say, that doesn't make sense as he has the same stoic face in the three gifs.
Yeah, but the thing is, and this is one of the theories that I have...he's masking.
During all the journey he's excited but mostly reserved and it's only when he understood that everyone thought there was a genie in the lamp and said object was now at his disposition that he broke his stoic and serious presence and began to show more than just one emotion.
But from a brief moment before the battle with the Beagle Boys we see the moment he discovers all his quest was a charade to stop him from getting angry, we get this:
Tumblr media
He's confused, sad, hurt and angry again when facing the ducks. Then as he questions if everything was fake he seems sad again.
This is of course justified in that he's a tough warrior. Heavens forbid if he shows emotions that could be perceived as weak in front of his allies and enemies.
But we have to consider this: D'jinn lives for epic and little quests. It's his hobbie, his favorite activity, he sees life as a big quest and him as just another player and he takes that very seriously.
The thing is... the others don't. They only pay attention to him for fear of their lives. This is just a guy who you can't ignore. Like I said before Scrooge and Louie only want to escape the problem they got into and even Huey is amazed at how much dedication the warrior puts on the lamp and the quest.
Huey (to Louie): D'jinn monologued about this lamp and the Ifrit's Dawn for ten minutes without blinking!
Taking into account that, let's go back to Faris realizing the ducks lied to him. They used his favorite hobby and interest as a joke. Without saying it, the ducks practicaly said: "You know, we don't care about being part of your quest or your lamp or listening to your dramatic stories. We just don't want to get destroyed. We want you to leave us alone as soon as possible"
And all I have to say is...ouch. OUCH
I mean, of course that supposition is not true because Dewey enjoyed the adventure and Webby was living the dream! But D'jinn didn't know that.
I also have to wonder if him not getting into drama over the lie was because he was very focused in obtaining the lamp or maybe he's just used to it. And for "it" I mean having to deal with many lies made to get rid of him and his dramatic actitude, and that actitude is not wrong or bad but some persons just don't have time or patience for that and we don't know how many people encountered the warrior in the past.
We don't know if his family is as interested and passionate about their history as D'jinn, or if he still has a brother or more siblings but (theory) if he turns out to be the only member of his family to have that passion for history and adventures then he would have another thing in common with Huey. Both love their families deeply but they feel they don't understand them.
Tumblr media
At least we have one thing clear for sure and it is that in his last birthday, D'jinn wasn't alone.
I hope he continues to make more friends or how he puts it "allies" and please let him interact with Huey! It's the Red One's season after all.
Also as a sidenote it is interesting that in the last picture Webby, Beakly and Huey (who are confirmed to have more presence and lore in this season) were in one group together. Foreshadowing?

Okay I can’t believe I’m going there, but, Lan Wangji’s magical healing cock and also mpreg AU:
Okay. So. Instead of Jin Zixuan being a dick to his crush, he genuinly never had a crush on her at all, and in fact, it never came to light until the Sunshit Campaign started, but JZX had a crush on Jiang Cheng all along. Jiang Cheng, who, reluctantly, returns his affections. Wei Wuxian is disgusted. His brother has terrible taste in men wtf.
So. Things went differently this time. What’s the change here? Meng Yao never left Nie Mingjue’s side. Of course, he did the spying thing, but he never betrayed him (this could be a part of my idea where NMJ and MY plan to actually have him be a spy and send him off after a planned execution of a soldier that NMJ decided needed a death sentence more than banishment, or, an AU where MY presented the idea to Wen Rouhan that his coming to WRH’s side was the betrayel itself). Now how does this change things? Because I honestly and truly think that if MY didn’t go to Jin Guangshan’s side afterwards, JGS wouldn’t have had the sway to execute anyone else in the Wen Family, or do anything horrible like that.
TBH he tries to wipe out the rest of the Wens, but it goes so badly and this time MY isn’t on his side (lol you know JGS would have tried tho, imagine how humiliating it would have been to be publicly denied by your own bastard son at the banquet after wow) and so JGS ends up removed from power entirely and JZX gets made sect leader instead.
This means, that since JZX is about to marry JC, they’re going to have to move to LanlingJin instead of both of them arguing over if they’d move to Lotus Pier or not. Cause they would argue over that. This means that Jiang Cheng is going to be the next Young Master Jin and Jiang Yanli is now officially the Jiang Sect Leader. Nice.
So. We’re rid of JGS and everyone’s happy and MY probably isn’t gonna kill anyone cause now he can marry NMJ in peace and not have to deal with anyone else, where does LWJ’s magic healing dick come in? Hold on I’m getting to it. Impatient.
So. The Wens. Of course, before JGS was removed from power, Wei Wuxian was actually running around saving Wen survivors and gathering them in the Burial Mounds, so he actually has to be coaxed into leaving by his siblings and LWJ and even JZX and NMJ (who thinks this is rather like that one time he had to coax Nie Huaisang out from under his bed when he became convinced NMJ’s cat was a demon because it wouldn’t stop attacking his songbird and he couldn’t come out cause she was in the room and she would steal his soul but she’s just sitting on the windowsill and meowing at them and NMJ is just silently planning to feed her more and keep her away from the atrium and tbh plz NHS you’re 16 years old you’re too old for this plz stop crying) and it’s great. It’s just great.
Anyways. WWX is paranoid af. Like so fucking paranoid. Cause they have been attacked. He’s got 12 year old girls talking about what the adult men in the Jin sect did to them. He’s got a traumatized toddler on his hip that screams when he sees Jin robes. He’s got children with branded scarring on their faces and wounds you can’t even imagine to come from anything but torture. He’s paranoid. He’s trying to keep the kiddos safe. They’re healers, and he’s given them the tools to heal, but they’re scared, and he’s paranoid without his Golden Core, and he’s scared, and he’s not putting down the toddler plz stop asking, he’s keeping this one, shut up.
So. What can he do but make a few demands? The Lan sect may have strict rules, but they would never attack innocent civilians, and they have rules about killing even animals in Gusu. He asks them to send all the Lan guards they can to escort them to GusuLan. He doesn’t think they’d hurt them in YunmengJiang either, but he can’t risk it. He was there when Lotus Pier burned. Cloud Recesses didn’t lose nearly as many people, and he’s still too traumatized to spend much time in LP rn.
So they go to Cloud Recesses. This actually, also gives the other sects a lot of time to get some glimpses at everyone that came from the Burial Mounds.
Not a single one of them was a cultivator.
This is a little different than canon. WWX can’t handle the loss of his golden core in this one. Not to say that he shouldn’t have done it, but that the resentful energy is dragging him down to the point where all he can feel is paranoia and fear. He’s almost completely unresponsive at this point. He follows after LWJ when told to, and he holds little A-Yuan in his arms, but he doesn’t pay much attention to anyone.
Wen Qing tells them of the loss of his core, but not how it happened. Lan Qiren doesn’t much like WWX still, but he accepts that a cornered animal will bite, and WWX lost his main weapon right before a major war. Of course he would do all he could to keep himself safe.
Jiang Yanli offers for the Wen Survivors to be integrated into YunmengJiang, since they lost so many people. It could help a lot. They accept, since she’s offering them protection and help.
Of course, Wen Qing and Jiang Yanli used to Spend A Lot Of Time Together in Cloud Recesses, so love is blooming there between the two sect leaders, and by the end of a year, they’re getting married themselves.
WWX doesn’t go back to LP with them. He couldn’t do it. A-Yuan and Granny and Wen Ning stay with him in Cloud Recesses. Granny talks with Wen Qing regularly, and A-Yuan is attached to Lan Wangji enough that Lan Xichen starts mentioning that he could attend classes there when he’s old enough. LXC is a WangXian shipper and is trying to get his brother to adopt the child. Y’all know he would. WWX spends his time arguing (loudly, but in a room with magical wards for sound so they don’t get in trouble) with a Lan mind healer that talks through his bullshit with him, sleeping the day away in one of the rooms of the Jingshi (because LWJ made him move in right away and WWX couldn’t even argue cause A-Yuan loves him too and he can ask LWJ to play Their Song whenever he wants to hear it) and following after A-Yuan as he enchants (and terrifies) all the rabbits in the field. Also getting yelled at (softly) by LQR for breaking rules. LQR and LWJ have been making it their personal mission to find a way to either purify the resentful energy so WWX can go back to his normal cheerful self that doesn’t jump or hide when startled, or to regain a Golden core so the yin and yang energies can balance each other and keep him stable.
Of course, JYL sends him a message that she’s getting married, and WWX pulls himself out of the fog enough that he can ask them to go to the wedding (he’s being polite, he’s going no matter what they say lol,) and LWJ accompanies him to the wedding. His siblings are so happy to see him there.
Anyways. Things get rocky when WWX hears them talking about kids.
Jiang Yanli will carry Jin Zixuan’s children, and they’ll keep the Jin name. They’ll know that all four of them are their parents, but it’s a way to pass on the name.
Wen Qing will carry Jiang Cheng’s children, and they’ll carry the Jiang name. This also helps to keep track of what kids are heir to what sect.
Of course, Wei Wuxian, the master of ‘I know The Most Obscure Bullshit Ever’, asks why they don’t just have their spouses children. There are spells and potions for that.
Well. No one else in the room knew that but him apparently. Well, they’re still going to go with their idea for the first few kids, and then they’ll decide if other means of pregnancy options are viable.
Anyways. Guess who else didn’t know it was possible for men to get pregnant? You guessed it. Lan Wangji. Who was also in the room at the time.
So. Wedding is lovely. They all have an amazing time. WWX is able to pull himself out of bed every day. He was even able to work on some cultivation items that LQR begrudgingly admits are amazing items and very useful to cultivation.
They go back to Cloud Recesses, and Lan Wangji combs through his and his uncle’s notes till he finds a viable solution to a return of a Golden core that they had originally scrapped because WWX wasn’t a girl.
To return a Golden core to a body by means of very careful pregnancy. Of course, such a thing would be considered stealing under normal circumstances, and most mothers would rather die than harm their child in the womb in a way that could kill them. But this was a method made to keep both parent and child from harm. A way to build the slightest lump of core in the parent, enough to stick and allow a base to build off of later.
Of course, without consulting Uncle (because the man would be horrified at the idea, and LWJ would rather be rejected by the man himself thanks very much) he takes the proposal to the man in question.
WWXA has to think about this one for a long time. He thinks about it while helping Wen Ning with zombie stuff so he can maintain a stable body. He thinks about it while writing letters to his siblings. He thinks a LOT about it while tucking their two year old into bed and reading him a story with the funny voices. He thinks about it when he spends a night in the cold springs with LWJ one night, close enough to touch the man, because without a Golden core, the water is too cold for him to survive in on his own.
He asks why LWJ would besmirch his honor like that. Having a child out of wedlock, his uncle would throw a fit. His name would be in tatters.
LWJ blinks, once, and twice. He quietly tells him the offer could involve marriage if WWX thinks it’s of import.
So. They get married. So they can have a child. Another child. Just. Yeah. Let’s get married so we can mate like rabbits.
They’re in love. Of course they are. But they’re also shy idiots. LWJ is a sex fiend like usual, and WWX quickly gets addicted to it, but they’re both too shy to say anything sappy yet. Well. No. Scratch that. LWJ is fully willing to admit his love to the world. But he’s a very quiet person. So he mostly just tells WWX how much he would do anything for him, and even eats his horrible poison cooking. Not even A-Yuan will touch that shit.
A-Yuan is so excited to be a big brother. His favorite place to lay is curled around WWX’s big belly and giving it kisses while A-Die scratches his hair and reads him stories.
A-Yuan finally gets his baby and Wei Wuxian gets the stability that a Golden core provides so he can continue using resentful energy to dodge the many many scrolls Shifu Qiren will throw at him over the years to come. LQR swears that if that man hadn’t given his nephew happiness and also many great nephews-
Anyways. The Lotus Flowers are all gay and all happy send tweet.

The Youngest Stark (Wanda Maximoff x Reader)
Prompt: Would I be able to make a request where the reader is Tony’s little sister and is dating Wanda?  No worries at all if you’re unable to write this, I absolutely love your writing and hope you have a fantastic day!
Words: 2082
Warnings: Language, the tiniest hint of violence
-X-
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Being the sister of the Tony Stark had never been easy. There was so much pressure to be the perfect child – the perfect Stark – and you hated it. You hated the world’s eyes on you and you hated how they compared you to your famous brother. You were as much a genius as he was; you simply used your talents differently, trying to stay out of the limelight.
He was an Avenger, one of Earth’s mighty heroes, while you were a simple lab technician in the Compound. You worked in Tony’s lab, helping him design new armor and tech that would keep the world safe. You weren’t out there in a suit like he was and that was fine with you. You’d rather be tucked away in a lab than out there making a fool of yourself. It wasn’t that you weren’t in awe of what Tony did; you just knew you were far more helpful in his lab than you would be trying to be an Avenger.
And Tony accepted that.
What he had trouble accepting was your newfound relationship with one of the team’s newest members.
He didn’t care about the fact she was a woman. No, he had known for years that you preferred the company of the fairer sex. What bothered him was who you had chosen.
Wanda Maximoff, one of the newest Avengers and easily the most dangerous, was your girlfriend – and it drove Tony crazy. He didn’t trust her – her or her powers – and he’d never admit out loud that she genuinely scared him, but he knew that arguing with you about your relationship was a terrible idea. It would get him absolutely nowhere because you were stubborn and once you set your mind to something, nothing would change it.
So instead of commenting, he watched from a distance, silently judging and calculating every little interaction. He wanted to catch her screwing up so he could step in. He loved you more than any person on this planet – you were his little sister after all – and he didn’t want you getting hurt. So he simply waited.
She would screw up. He just knew it.
-X-
The lab was quiet – something you were appreciative of. For once, Tony and Bruce weren’t in the lab so it was just you and the tech. You adored your big brother, but sometimes he was just too much. He needed to understand that he didn’t always have to be “Tony Stark, billionaire genius”. Sometimes the only person he needed to be was Tony.
Grabbing Natasha’s batons, you set them on the table before you and started tinkering with them. They were powerful, but you had a feel you could up the voltage while decreasing the weight. They were balanced, but Natasha often grumbled about how heavy they could be. Since she wasn’t going on a mission anytime soon, you figured now would be the perfect time to test out a few theories.
Before you could inspect them, however, the lab door slid open and Wanda stepped inside, a shy smile on her face. Your relationship was still fairly new and she often worried that she was bothering you whenever she came down to visit, but your beaming smile softened her fears and she relaxed, walking over to you.
“Hello, malysh,” she greeted, her accent thicker in these private moments with you than when she was around the others. She liked – and to some extent, trusted – the Avengers, but she felt like they judged her for being different so she tried downplaying her accent. With you, however, she knew she didn’t need to. You had repeatedly told her how much you loved listening to her talk, reminding her there was nothing wrong with being unique.
She leaned down to peck your lips, her hands on your shoulders so that you didn’t tip back off the stool. You’d done that before, scaring her half to death despite the reassurances that you were totally fine.
You cupped Wanda’s cheek, dragging her into a deeper kiss that made your pulse race. Her lips were petal soft and so damn tantalizing. Humming against her lips, you smiled as you parted.
“What brings you down to my lovely hideaway this fine evening?” you asked, separating your knees so you could bring Wanda to stand between them.
Wanda’s arms encircled your neck, her eyes flickering between you and the batons on the table. “I was looking for you. It is movie night and you weren’t there.”
You sighed, pressing your head against her chest. “I know.”
Fingers played with the baby hairs at the nape of your neck, soothing your raging mind. “Is there something wrong?”
Shaking your head, you leaned back a little and stared up at your worried girlfriend. “No, darling, I’m fine. I’ve just got a lot on my mind and going through some of Tony’s tech always helps me sort it out.”
“Should I go?” Wanda wondered, deflating slightly at the idea of not getting to spend time with you.
“You can stay if you want,” you replied with a smile, “I just have to warn you, I’ll probably drive you crazy with my ramblings.”
Wanda giggled, combing a hand through your hair. “I like when you ramble.”
You helped Wanda hop up onto the bench beside Natasha’s batons, pressing another kiss to her enchanting lips before resettling on your stool.
From the doorway, Tony discretely watched you chatting with Wanda. He’d come down here to find you and talk about whatever was bothering you, but instead you were with her. You were explaining in great detail how the batons worked and she seemed genuinely interested, something you’d never had before. It surprised Tony a little, if he was being honest. He hadn’t expected her to care yet here she was, sitting on your bench, listening to your explanations while also trying to help you with your rampant emotions.
Blinking, he uncrossed his arms and stepped out of the door. Maybe Wanda wasn’t so bad after all.
-X-
It wasn’t until Wanda went missing during a mission that Tony realized how much she meant to you.
It was supposed to be simple: get in, retrieve a SHIELD informant, and get out but something had gone terribly wrong and now she and Bucky were both missing. You were standing in the lab with Tony and Bruce as they suited up and prepared to leave and go find their captured friends. You were staring at the suit Tony had made you a long time ago, when he first became Iron Man. It was (F/C) and it fit you like a glove despite the fact you’d never done anything with it.
“I’m coming with you,” you announced, stalking over to the suit.
Tony balked. “What?”
“I’m coming with you,” you repeated, glaring at Tony, daring him to argue with you.
Bruce cleared his throat. “(Y/N), we don’t know what they’ve done with them. It might be too dangerous for you to…” he trailed off, his eyes widening at the fierce look that crossed your features.
“I’m. Going.”
You activated your bracelet and pointed it at the encased suit. The glass slid open and you stepped up onto the platform, pressing another button. Faster than you had anticipated, the suit was on your body and booting up, FRIDAY’s voice loud in your head.
“Good morning, (Y/N),” she greeted robotically.
It wasn’t hard for you to adjust to the suit – you helped build and maintain these things for God’s sake – and by the time Tony was dressed and ready, so were you.
The others weren’t that surprised to see you joining them. Natasha had faith you’d find your strength. She understood that you wanted to be there the moment they found Wanda and Bucky, so coming in a suit of armor made sense. You were going to help properly destroy those bastards one way or another; you were a Stark after all.
You just needed a push.
“Ready, team?” Steve asked as everyone gathered at the Quinjet.
You nodded impatiently, praying to whoever would listen that your girlfriend would be okay.
Sam clapped you on the shoulder though you barely felt it. “She’s going to be fine.”
Vision nodded. “Yes, Wanda is quite capable. I am sure she is fine.”
Rolling your eyes, you followed Steve onto the Quinjet. You knew how capable Wanda was, but that didn’t mean she wasn’t hurting or scared. She was the strongest woman you’d ever met yet she was still your girlfriend.
The flight wasn’t terribly long but you spent the entire time pacing. You couldn’t help it. All you could think about was HYDRA having your girlfriend – and Bucky. Two people that HYDRA definitely didn’t need to have. What if they were trying to weaponize Wanda or re-weaponize Bucky? You’d worked hard to help Wanda gain control of her powers and Steve had spent so long helping Bucky reintegrate back into society…
There would be hell to pay if all that had been undone.
The moment the Quinjet touched down, you were out with Tony right behind you. Both your face plates fell into place and Tony couldn’t help but appreciate this. The two Stark siblings, fighting together at last. Fighting for one of their loves. It was kind of poetic.
“Ready?” Tony asked.
“Let’s do this.”
You and Tony flew towards the base’s entrance while Steve and the others fought the ground forces. There weren’t many so you didn’t feel too bad leaving them there. You slammed into the door and it flew out of the doorway, knocking back into the wall on the far side of the room. It smacked a few agents, knocking them unconscious.
“Good job,” Tony praised, looking around. “I would say we should split up but Cap will be up here soon looking for Bucky so we should search for Wanda.”
Nodding, you followed Tony through the base. You left most of the fighting to him, instead deciding that you’d be the one to look through the rooms. The first floor was a bust and the second floor only led you to whatever SHIELD informant they’d originally been sent to find, but the third floor was where you finally found her.
Wanda was locked up tight in a small cell by herself, her hands bound behind her back and a blindfold over her eyes. She looked so small and young, dirt smudged on her cheeks. She didn’t cry though. She was too headstrong and determined not to show fear. You wondered what all they had done to her, but you didn’t have time to think about it.
Rushing over to the cell, you jerked at it with all your might. It slid open and Wanda’s hands clenched into fists.
“I will not tell you anything,” she spat.
You smiled, so proud of your girlfriend. Your face plate came off and you kneeled before Wanda, carefully reaching up to take off her blindfold. You watched her gorgeous green eyes blink before wearily landing on you.
“(Y/N)?” Wanda whispered, stunned. She thought she was imaging things. You’d never worn this suit before – hell, you’d never been on a mission before – so why were you here now? Was it all for her?
“We’re here to get you out, Maximoff,” Tony informed her from outside, watching the two of you curiously.
You helped Wanda to her feet and spun her around so you could untie her hands. The second she was free, she tossed her arms around you and brought you into a heavy kiss, pouring everything she had into it.
“I love you,” she murmured, her lips brushing against yours.
“I love you too,” you replied, entirely smitten with the woman in your arms.
Tony made a gagging noise but the two of you ignored her. It was creepy to see his little sister kissing her girlfriend, but the moment was sweet and he was glad to have been there. He finally understood everything. She was your Pepper Potts in a way; she was the woman you’d do anything for.
“We’ve got Bucky and the informant,” Steve announced through the comm. “Have you found Wanda?”
“Yeah, Cap, we’ve got her. We’ll see you back at the jet.” Tony gestured for you to follow him. “C’mon, kids. We’ve got places to be. Exchange saliva later,” he teased.
You flipped Tony off before slipping your face plate back into place.
Tony grinned.
Maybe, just maybe, he had been wrong after all.

t’s truly something how all princes/sultans in tmck are so pressed…I get their life isn’t easy, but all that blaming & truly how it can affect everyone’s perception. Murad even accused his mother of faking an assassination attempt on her life, incredible *sarcasm of course*. And Atike was just his cheerleader most of the time, ugh. All that blaming by people who even weren’t there. Thanks for writing that piece!
Aww thank you so much! This piece is my magnum opus I guess lol (Link here:https://fymagnificentwomcn.tumblr.com/post/610970504341405696/no-she-isnt-the-whole-evil-k%C3%B6sem-thing-isnt )
Murad’s angry 24/7 & gets so ridiculous with blame-shifting – he would need a good anger management therapy LBR.
And there’s one scene that portrays his character in nutshell:
Doctor: you cannot drink anymore wine, Your Majesty.
Murad, literally 5 minutes later: Yusuf, bring me wine!
Murad in 1 minute, another example:
Kösem: Don’t marry Silahtar to Atike, you also have another sister and if you do it, it will end in tragedy!
Murad: No worriez, I’ve thought about Gevherhan, I will marry her to Kemankeş ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
I mentioned a lot of blame-shifting in my previous posts, but he even at moment began questioning his mum about Gülbahar and whether she truly committed treason (and Gülbahar herself admitted to it).
Even when Atike asked him for permission to take children with her & Kösem to vaqf, he was totally okay with the idea, but later after kidnapping snapped at his mother that it was HER fault for gaving taken his sons there & began threatening her with exile far away. Charming as always.
Honestly, he’s like a broken record. In all his arguments, while Kösem has her logical arguments, his only argument is usually “I’m the only/rightful owner of Ottoman Empire, “I’m the shadow of God on Earth. Like dude do you realise how boring you are???
Don’t forget how mad he got when Kösem wrote to Kemankeş to have a backup plan if Murad died and Bayezid wanted to take the throne, which could have meant danger for other Kösem’s sons. After all, she didn’t take it from nothing, Gülbahar told her about assassination attempt to come & it actually already had happened by the time Murad received the letter. Yes, dude you are not immortal, you could have been killed, and life goes on you know? It doesn’t mean your mother doesn’t love you or is not going to mourn you, but she also needs to take care of your brothers and state ffs. He’s truly obsessed with this idea that after his death life will  (unfortunately in his view) go on – which is also meaningful since Kösem reminded him like two episodes earlier that state was going to remain even with both of them dead. And well we all know the “masterful” idea he conceived just before his death.
And it’s clear how even some of his siblings fear him – Gevherhan was scared immediately following the announcement of Kösem no longer being a regent (especially since he did in a way to put  blame on his mother for recent events to prop himself up, and he was also engaged in state matters at that point). Kasim also immediately fears being locked up in kafes or even executed. Judging by their conversations, despite problems going on, last 10 years were a peaceful time for their family.
As I said, out of all Kösem’s opponents only Handan and Derviş weren’t worse than her, and she was the only main player that never engaged in mass slaughter – Safiye, Halime&Co., Gülbahar&Sinan, Murad, Turhan - all did.
Same with Atike – she was a baby when when her father died, didn’t even spend her early years locked up as Ibrahim…. she’s honestly so blind it’s painful. The scene where she jumps at Kemankeş for trying to talk sense to Ibrahim not to appoint Genie Master as chief judge… please your brother is now acting contrary to Imperial law and it’s asking for further disaster if Cinci increases his influence among ulema by bringing people who pay him into it & it’s good Ibo is controlled in this way… nah, it’s actually necessary. And how you jump from this to your mother I have no idea either. A true performative “activist”, who talks about protecting her brother, but all is limited to talking  & exposing her moral superiority, while it’s not supported by any real actions helping him.
Well, you got your revenge on your mother for killing the husband who despised you, acted against your youngest brothers at that point, and likely was only praying you wouldn’t follow him also into afterlife.
I also forgot to mention one more example of Mu/rat manipulating the narrative – when he tells Atike following the failed dethronement attempt & Kasim’s death that their mother had lied to her and tried to kill him – he was after all put in kafes, he should be aware nobody planned an assassination attempt, bah he KNEW the whole plan from Sinan… and yes, Kösem being so adamant that nothing can happen to Mura/t cost her Kasim in the end.
Atike herself was aware that Mu/rat would have killed her brothers even if the dethronement attempt had not happened as she told him to his face after Kasim’s death and she stated that he had made the decision long ago. Later however she got the letter from Murad informing her who killed Silahtar and she even released Traitor No. 1 Sinan to spite her mum 😂.
I suppose princes at this point led the hardest existence because they were closed in kafes, unable to get decent education&experience or have families (maybe they were allowed to have sex with cariyes, but contraception had to be used or even abortion if the concubine of a sehzade has got pregnant) but at the same time they weren’t certain whether they wouldn’t be killed because the switch to anti-fratricide was pretty new&the times were turbulent. Osman clearly broke Imperial law by getting fetva from military judge to kill Mehmed, and Murad killed the biggest number of Ahmed’s sons obviously (yeah more than in the show because not all princes appeared in MYK, though we don’t know the exact number of Ahmed’s sons, Murad definitely also executed Suleiman, most likely his full brother). I laugh when people go about “rule-breaker” Murad. Wow by getting back to law that has already began to run its course, clap clap.
Murad was king of hypocrisy and it’s also a historical fact. As Halil İnalcık states in his book Ottoman Empire: The Classical Age: “ The tyrannical Murad IV was a habitual drinker and at the same time the most ruthless supporter of the prohibition againt alcohol”. Mu/rat tried to make use of religion in his attempts to drill absolute obedience, but he wasn’t a religious person himself & definitely tried to take from religion what it most suited him, while ignoring other things, e.g. he kept decreasing zakat, aka income tax that goes to charity. A small bit of trivia: apparently he was a big fan of Machiavelli’s The Prince, there were even some rumours that he translated the book himself (we can only imagine he also took from this book what he wanted 🤪 ).
Similarly Turhan manipulated the narrative, also in a hypocritical way – remember her going like: “how many padişahs you killed?” and she was the main force behind Ibo’s death… the moment Ibo told her that she “was a coward who hid behind his mother’s skirts”… it was clear he was doomed. There was explicit anger on Turhan’s side here. Not only because she felt insulted by him, but also because she felt a need to prove both to him and the world that she was capable to be on top without Kösem’s support.  Not to mention all her actions leading to Ibo’s situation, also her ordering Mehmed to sign his dad’s death order was so chilling “I don’t want dad to die”. Well, now let’s play morally pure, especially while murdering elderly (very elderly lbr :p) Haci in again a brutal way, including twisting his neck. It’s not even that she removed a padisah – she actively worked to make him crazier and for his rule to be total failure, it wasn’t even about her, Ibo or Kösem – whole nation suffered because she was impatient to take power into her hands./BTW pity we skipped the time period when they were both Valides and we know both tried to get rid of each other, without harming Mehmed/ And frankly even with Kösem it was a terrible & undeserved backstabbing because also Ibi criticised Turhan for this saying his mother always “loved and protected her, did so much for her” and I doubt Ibo was biased here considering that he was also on bad terms with his mum at that moment.
Later the situation truly calmed down & later princes could live much more peacefully because the practice of killing truly went out of style and also later there were less and less restrictions on princes and they could for example travel abroad with the reigning padişah. For example, Sultan Abdülaziz took princes for a European trip and they even had a chance to meet Queen Victoria.
And I laugh when people blame Kösem for “failing to protect the princes” instead of you know, blame the actual killer. Ahmed truly replenished dynasty, while Murad axed a number of his brothers, at the same time of course used his own propaganda. It is true that Murad executed the favourite of princes, Bayezid, during celebrations following the successful Revan campaign. Similarly, when Kasim was executed someone spread rumours about the prince impregnating a number of concubines & it was before the Baghdad campaign when even setting out on it Murad had to display his “splendour and glory”.
Show-wise I legit one read that Kösem killed Ahmed because she spared Bulbül following Safiye’s attempted coup lmao. It’s not like Ahmed wasn’t there when she made the decision & it’s not like it wasn’t Hümaşah who after all got Yasemin in, and I doubt anyone could oppose an Imperial princess anyway – she would have found another servant. And Bülbül later saved Kösem’s kids, so… scapegoating truly is in some people’s blood lmao.
I love how MYK played with the idea of historical representation & creation of narrative, how people “see” and how different factors might influence their perception & creation of narrative. And also how S2 put into different perspective some stuff from S1. I admit there were some things that back during first watch of MYKS1 made me go WTF? that I later understood when compared/contrasted with MYK S2. It’s clear that they truly planned a lot of the whole show back in S1.
It’s sometimes interesting how narratives may be created and repeated even without evidence supporting it - there is no historical evidence that Kösem took part in Osman’s dethronement, yet it is something that often pops up even in “historical articles” for example. People deduce since Kösem later became Valide quite soon because Mustafa’s (or rather Halime’s) reign didn’t last long, know Şehzade Mustafa’s (Suleiman’s son) story, and some rumours about what Ottoman women did to secure throne for their children, so they see getting rid of one’s stepson to claim throne for one’s child as logical and usual in Ottoman system,  even when there is no proper evidence backing it up. Because it seems natural and logical, so why not make it more spicy? We know next to nothing about Mahfiruz, but there is this “Betty vs Veronica” trope, so suddenly we learn that Mahfiruz was Kösem’s opposite, not politically involved or ambitious, but gentle & sweet, and even details like light hair pop up as opposed to Kösem’s dark hair (sometimes of course it is also extended to good vs. evil). Taken from where, other than fitting a known trope? Or when she’s presented as some sort of Mahidevran vol.2 as having as close relationship with Osman like Mahi did with Mustafa, perfect prince and jealous stepmother Kösem. I know some of the stuff is also derived from Western, orientalist plays, but those are obviously not sources and should not be treated as truth. And sometimes it it even repeated by historians. For example Uluçay, who  was very against Sultanate of Women & pretty much propagated a lot of rumours (and new approach to the period truly changed a lot of how academia writes about these women now). Let us look at this quote:
Tumblr media
Taken from: Necdet Sakaoğlu, Famous Ottoman Women.
It’s clear what narrative Uluçay chose for his research.
It’s common practice to sometimes fill in the blanks (and sometimes even change stuff) with known cliches, tropes, and narratives.
It is truly a topic for an extended discussion, so I will stop for now, but when it comes to Ottoman history I do recommend Daniel Piterberg’s Ottoman Tragedy. History and Historography at Play, which shows how the same event may be even differently presented in historical works depending on chosen narrative that is often rooted in current context.

Shadowhunters Short Story #64 part 2.
Anna grins at her brother and cousins while adjusting Benji in her arms. Their excitement is certainly infectious.
“Yes you can come in and meet Benji if you be quiet and calm, Ariadne is asleep, she is very tired and finding it very difficult to adjust to being up all hours with Benji.” Anna firmly says, looking directly at Matthew, who is definitely the one who makes the most noise.
“I will be good Anna, I promise!” Matthew exclaims, still bouncing on the balls of his feet with excitement.
“Alright, come in then.” Anna says, holding the door open and letting her brother and cousins in past her.
“I get to hold him first!” Matthew exclaims, as he and the others settle onto the couch while Anna closes and locks the door.
“No, I get to hold him first, then Daisy, then you, Kit and Tom and Alastair can decide amongst yourselves who gets to hold Benji next!” James says in an informative tone, as though this is a fact, pointing between himself, Cordelia, and the other Merry Thieves.
“But I am Anna’s favorite cousin, so I should hold him first, besides Kit already held him when he was here earlier with his parents, so he definitely should not get to hold him first.” Thomas calmly says.
“Ha! You wish Tommy, I am Anna’s favorite cousin, right Anna?” Matthew asks in a sure tone, turning his gaze on her, his green eyes glinting with delight.
“Lucie is my favorite cousin, where is our darling Lu anyway?” Anna asks, surprised that Lucie has not turned up with The Merry Thieves to meet Benji, she loves babies and is always pestering James and Cordelia to give her a niece or nephew, similarly to how she would pester Tessa and Will for a sibling.
“Anna how very dare you! My beloved Lucie will not be joining us today I am afraid, she is not feeling well.” Matthew explains, going from heart-broken and mortally offended, to completely calm in just minutes.
“Under the whether or pregnant?” Thomas teases. James’ eyes widen and Matthew quickly holds his hands up, as though surrendering to something.
“No! Please do not attack me Jamie, I promise Lucie is not pregnant, she really is just sick, with a cold!” Matthew exclaims, remembering the time just a few months ago when Lucie had really thought she was pregnant and James had flown at Matthew in a rage when he found out. No one had ever seen Jamie so angry, especially not with his parabatia.
“Good Lord boys are dramatic.” Anna says in an amused tone. “Here Cordelia, you may hold Benji first, and I will go put the kettle on. If these hooligans wake my wife, Daisy, you have my full permission to kill them if it will shut them up.” Anna says in a playful tone, lowering the baby into Cordelia’s arms, where he quickly settles. Cordelia grins up at Anna.
“Yes m’am!” She laughs. She then turns her attention to Benji and strokes his little cheek, bringing her back to when her baby sister Evangeline had been born 5 years ago. “Hello little Benji, you are so adorable!” Benji wraps his hand around Cordelia’s finger and snuggles closely into her.
“He could so easily pass for Ariadne’s biological child, its’ not just his dark hair and skin color that are the same, he has the same nose and mouth shape as her too, how odd!” Matthew notices, leaning against Cordelia and stroking Benji’s tufts of hair.
“You are seeing things Matthew, he looks nothing like Ari.” Thomas says, straining to get a proper glimpse of the baby.
“Ari must be so happy to finally be a mother, when she was engaged to Charles I heard her telling mama that she wanted a quick wedding because she wanted to start trying for a baby as soon as they could, of course Charles Buford would have been so lucky as to have someone as lovely as Ariadne have his children, my brother is such a slime-ball, I am glad Ariadne is with Anna now, and not my know-it-all older brother.” Matthew says in an exasperated tone, rolling his eyes at the thought of his smug brother.
“I really do not understand how Charles is your parents’ child, Henry and Charlotte are so very kind and lovely, as are you Matthew, but Charles is the complete opposite.” Cordelia says in a confused tone.
“Math has a conspiracy theory that Charles was swapped at birth with some other baby, and that his true brother is out there somewhere with some dreadfully stuck up, boring and cowardly family. He has gone so far as to ask Uncle Jem to help him prove that theory and check all the records of baby boys born in The Basilas the same day as Charles.” James says in an amused tone.
“You will not be laughing when Uncle Jem and I prove my theory right and find my real brother, who also likes Oscar Wilde- my dog and the playwright- and has an amazing sense of fashion like me, James Herondale.” Matthew says in a sure tone, just as Anna comes back in, carrying a tray with a teapot and several cups.
“Aunt Sophie is right Matthew, you do have your mama’s over-active sense of imagination.” Anna says in a light tone, setting the tray down on the coffee table.
“Thank you! I think.” Matthew says, furrowing his brow in confusion. “Anna, I am going to be Benji’s Godfather, aren’t I?” He adds, as Cordelia passes Benji back to Anna.
“No, but Cordelia we most certainly want you to be his Godmother.” Anna softly says.
“M-me? A-are you sure?” Cordelia stammers, looking at Anna with wide eyes full of shock but also delight. She had never expected this, and is honored to even be considered as little Benjamin’s Godmother.
“Absolutely, you are the most sensible one among The Merry Thieves, you and Thomas. We trust you to be a wonderful guide and influence for Benji.” Anna says, reaching over to squeeze her friend’s hand.
“Excuse you! I am sensible!” Matthew exclaims in an offended tone.
“As am I!” James chimes in.
“Matthew, dear Matthew, I do love you so but you are the furthest from sensible a person could be, and I love you for it. And Jamie, my lovely baby cousin, you are quiet sensible, but not as much as Cordelia or Thomas I’m afraid, but don’t take offense boys, it simply means you will be Benji’s fun uncles that get to take him on adventures and teach him things you probably should not, while Cordelia and his Godfather are going to have to do the boring work, like teaching him about religion and helping us make sure he grows up sensible.” Anna explains gently, knowing that both Matthew and James will adore the idea of being the fun uncle, to Benji.
“Fine, but only if I get to hold him now!” Matthew bargains.
“Deal, come get him and watch him for me for a few minutes while I check on Ariadne.” Anna says, beckoning her cousin over.
A few minutes later Matthew is happily seated between James and Thomas, cradling little Benji and smiling like he just won all the riches in the world.
“We are going to have so much fun together Benji! I will buy you the most fashionable clothes on the market and all the books your heart could desire, especially poetry and especially Oscar Wilde, and you will love my dog who is also named Oscar Wilde. Oh, now that I come to think of it Benjamin, I wish I had of named Oscar something else, perhaps Dorian, so I could name my first son Oscar.” Matthew says, his tone turning downtrodden when he realizes what a mistake he has made.
“Lucie would never let you name her son Oscar, she has her children’s names chosen.” James informs Matthew, which surprises him. Lucie has a running list of names on the go at all times, but Matthew thought they were simply for her characters in her stories, or maybe to have in case her parents finally gave into her pleas and had another baby.
“She does?” Matthew asks. James nods.
“Abigail Teresa for a girl and Sebastian William for a boy.”
“But I want my children to have my parents names as middle names! Oh and Lucie is so stubborn she will never change her mind, I may have to brake up with her.” Matthew jokes with a solemn shake of his head.
“Let me hold him now, Fairchild, you have had him long enough.” Alastair declares, holding his arms out for little Benjamin.
“Fine but only for a few minutes, he was having fun with me!” Matthew says, gently placing the baby in Alastair’s arms.
“He’s asleep.” Alastair observes, adjusting Benjamin’s blankets around him.
“Yes well he heard your boring voice and conked right out, you cannot blame the little fellow, I often think of conversations we have had when I have trouble sleeping, and it helps me drift off right away!” Matthew teases, grinning playfully at Alastair, who he is now good friends with. Alastair makes Thomas happy, and what makes Thomas happy, makes the rest of The Merry Thieves happy.
“This little one makes me want a baby.” Thomas quietly says, one arm around Alastair's waist, his chin resting on his boyfriend’s shoulder, the other reaching out to stroke Benji’s cheek. Alastair's eyes widen in shock. He and Thomas had briefly discussed having children, but agreed to wait a few more years at least, until they are older.
“I-I thought we had agreed to wait!” Alastair stammers. Thomas chuckles and kisses his cheek.
“We did and we will, but this little one just makes me impatient. However I am sure we will be first on call as babysitters, especially seeing as you and Ariadne are such close friends.” Thomas gently says. A few years ago when Charles broke off his engagement to Ariadne, and Alastair broke off his relationship with Charles when he realized Charles would never admit to loving him or commit to him, Ariadne and Alastair found solace and comfort in another, they both knew what is was like to be attracted to the same sex in an un-accepting time, and they both knew how awful Charles could be. They took to meeting up at least once a week and have done so ever since, and now they are the very best of friends.
The Merry Thieves spend the next few hours fussing over their new nephew and bonding with him, while occasionally being scolded by Anna for being too loud and chancing waking Ariadne.
It is just past 4 in the evening, when Ariadne pads into Benjamin’s nursery, rubbing sleep from her eyes, while Anna sits in the rocking chair, reading to her son.
“Anna, have I been asleep all day?” Ariadne asks in a tired, breathy tone, rubbing at her eyes.
“Yes love, you clearly needed it. Did you sleep well?” Anna asks, taking her hand and drawing her down onto the ottoman beside the rocking chair.
“Yes, wonderfully, thank you. How has our boy been?” Ariadne asks, reaching out to stroke Benji’s cheek.
“Good as gold as usual, he has been fussed over all day. First by my parents and brothers and then The Merry Thieves came around, all apart from Lucie. Matthew adores his role as Benji’s fun uncle, and I asked Cordelia to be Benji’s Godmother.” Anna tells Ariadne, one hand laced through with hers and the other holding Benji.
“Sounds like you had a very busy day, are you not tired?” Ariadne asks in a concerned tone. Anna has not struggled to adjust to their new sleep schedule with Benjamin the way Ariadne has, but she still needs her rest and sleep, no one is invincible.
“A bit, but as I said before Benjamin is more than worth it.” Anna says in a loving tone, her gaze returning to her son.
“You should go rest for an hour now, let me take Benji. You rest and Benji and I will make dinner and then wake you when it is ready, we have not had a proper meal since we adopted him, now is as good a time as any to start eating meals again, and it will help us both with our energy.” Ariadne says.
“Are you sure?” Anna asks, both wanting to lie down and rest for a while, and also wanting to let Ariadne rest as much as possible. Ariadne smiles softly and kisses Anna’s cheek.
“I am sure love, you need your rest and I want some quality time with my boy.”
When Anna goes into the bedroom, Ariadne pulls out one of her heavy winter shawls, and fastens it into a sling across her chest, where she can lay Benji so that he can be close to her but she can also have both her hands free.
As Ariadne moves around the kitchen, preparing dinner for her family, she quietly hums an old Indian lullaby she seems to remember someone (Likely her birth mother) singing to her when she was very small, before she was adopted. At this moment, her heart could not possibly be more full, she gets to wake up next to and live a wonderful life with the love of her life, her amazing Anna, she does not have to hide who she is anymore or bare a man’s touch, her parents are extremely loving, caring and supportive, she has more friends than she ever thought she would, and she has a beautiful and wonderful baby boy, who makes her heart soar with happiness every time she looks at his gorgeous little face.
At one stage, all 3 people in this little family were lost in someway. Anna had been lost in her grapple with her sexuality and gender for years, then she had been lost in her grapple with love and trusting someone with her heart, Ariadne had been lost from a family at a very young age, before she was taken in by The Bridgestocks, and she too was lost in the struggle of being a woman exclusively attracted to women, and little Benji had been lost from his birth family too.
Now, together, the 3 of them are found and a family, the most perfect family one could ask for.
