it actually would be a lot more compelling if I replaced Juan with Remy as Mira's love interest because I honestly don't care too much for Juan lol which of course means I've been neglecting his character, which undermines the conflict and emotions involved in the whole dilemma
#I'm so torn though#I could fix it and develop juan as a character but#ehh I really just want to focus on the trio#I mean. I kind of know what's going on#mira genuinely likes juan but she's not in love with him#she's with him half-heartedly#and juan wants more than that#he's kind of bland#I'm laughing now because I know despite being bland some people would still like him#anyway I don't know what I'll do#rs: the rest of our lives#process.#okay don't get me wrong I'm still invested in mira x juan#but it's mostly for the angst#I enjoy making mira suffer

💥🔥Urgent help 💥🔥
I am Ola Ferwana from Palestine ,Gaza. I'm a mother of 3 kids Yamen, Qusai and Mira. My husband travelled to Egypt to get medicines before 2 days of the war 7 of October on Gaza and he was stuck in Egypt until this moment.
I faced very great challenges and responsibilities of my three children in the absence of my husband, as he had traveled and the crossing was closed and we could not see each other.
This is our street of my house, the Israeli occupation damaged all the houses.
I have delivered a girl baby,Mira , through the war, She was 10 months old and my husband didn't see her until this moment.
Yamen was 7 years old, and his simplest dream was to complete the first grade at school, but his school was completely destroyed. He lost the most beautiful thing that he was happy with and enjoyed that he had reached this stage.
Qusai is 5 years old, and until this moment I do not have the courage to tell him that his kindergarten was also destroyed, the first place and refuge in which he was happy, but in this war he lost everything beautiful. He lost his father’s hug, which was his only refuge when he slept at night, telling him his daily story to fall asleep safety.
Mira, my daughter, who had never seen an hour or a moment devoid of fear, came into this world and was surprised by a war that destroyed many, many things. It destroyed her house and her room, which I was waiting for as I prepared and brought her all the beautiful clothes and colorful dresses she needed. She was surprised by the sound of missiles. She could not sleep because of it. My husband hopes to get a smile and a hug from her daughter Which he had been waiting for some time.
We lack of the basic human needs, no food no electricity no water. We were poisoned and infected because of the unhealthy water that we drink.
My three children and I had to be hospitalized. We suffered from liver dysfunction as a result of malnutrition, widespread diseases, and recurring infection.
During this period, I felt remorseful about how difficult it is for a mother to see her children sick and unable to treat them because she is also very sick.
The Rafah border crossing, which is the only way to escape from the war, is closed now.
I hope to provide us by giving support in order to cover the costs associated with ensuring our safe passage of Egypt through the borders. Please stand with me, we are now homeless, with absence of children needs like milk, diapers, with no food.
Please help us by donation to stay a live and leave Gaza with my children. Share this link as you can as possible .

If it is opened, I can't go to Egypt as I don't have the money because my husband is the sole breadwinner for my family.
Thank you for your kindness, empathy and generosity during this challenging time. With sincere thanks and warm regards,
Note: my campaign is vetted by Femme intifada on telegram, vetted by butterflyeffectgroup on instagram, my number is #964. Also, it was vetted on tumbler by @gazavetters and my number is #60

study season
fourth wing characters (Aaric, Bodhi, Brennan, Dain, Garrick, Imogen, Liam, Mira, Rhiannon, Ridoc, Sawyer, Sloane, Violet, and Xaden) x reader the ways our faves help you study for exams. words: ~900 🏷: no book spoilers, no triggers. gender neutral. and I included the girls this time!! some of these can be read as platonic and others mention kisses / cuddles, implying you’re a couple. idk, I just work here. I’m really liking this format lately, and it’s (fairly) quick and easy so you can expect more of these in the future while I procrastinate all the girlfriendverse chapters and smut I have to write lol
First, the more studious of the bunch:
Brennan is all-in, no hesitation, pulling up a chair next to you and learning this with you for moral support, but also for fun (can you believe this guy?) though you suppose it’s easier to enjoy this if it doesn’t count for a grade. Either way, he’s a very nice study partner, and he encourages you to take breaks every hour / chapter / etc. Brings snacks, too.
Violet somehow already knows all of the material, and explains it better than the textbook or the professor. Walks things back if you don’t get it and gets into the why and how, which so many teachers skip over, even though it helps explain the what (pet peeve of mine showing here lol).
Aaric’s study skills are unmatched -- years of the best private tutors money can buy really paid off. Teaches you new strategies that you’ve never heard of in your life, and when you ask, he admits a bit shyly that he came up with it himself, but it works, and you get it done in half the time you would have before. (work smarter, not harder, baby)
Rhiannon gives you the pep talk of your life (we all need a Rhiannon in our lives) and convinces you that you’ve got this. Packs you a little snack for the day of your exam with a little note reminding you that you know this, just breathe and think.
Xaden sees you struggling and forces you to take a break. During said break, he’s reading the book himself and figuring out what exactly has you so stressed and exhausted. Breaks down the tasks into smaller, more manageable steps and guides you through it -- “find three reasons why XYZ happened.” done with that? “Now make them into paragraphs.” etc etc, and an hour later, you have a passable essay.
Dain is taking this more seriously than you are, and his discipline is like no other; you’re not stopping until the work is done, or until midnight, whichever comes first (because sleep is important for the brain, or whatever. Definitely not just because he misses you and wants to cuddle).
Garrick may have no idea what you’re talking about, but he suffers through it with you, offering to let you explain things to him, because teaching is a good way to test if you understand something. Though you get what you pay for -- he’s a total smartass about it, asking questions about the littlest details even if they’re common knowledge -- he’s gotta be thorough, right?
Ridoc may be the class clown type, but he’s smarter than a lot of people think. He comes up with a bunch of jokes that actually help you remember things. Somehow manages to relate the most complex topic in your book to a sandwich, and it actually works. He’s incredibly smug about this for the rest of the week, especially when you get the highest score in the class (he’ll take payment in kisses, thank you.)
Bodhi makes flashcards with you, quizzing you and giving you a kiss if you get it right (this definitely is not a distraction, and things definitely don’t escalate from here, nope.) He’s also really good at proofreading essays, and gives excellent feedback regarding the structure and the order of the information.
Liam sits there with you all the while, completely silent, working on one of his wood carvings at the other end of the table, but you know he’s there and he’s watching -- and that provides a healthy amount of peer pressure and keeps you on task. He’s an incredibly observant person, and he can see the stress building; he knows when to intervene and suggest that you take a break.
Sloane is the best person to commiserate with. She doesn’t want to be doing this either, but she’s also incredibly stubborn, and she doesn’t give up; after a healthy amount of complaining, she’s forcing you both to keep trying until it works / until it’s done, and then you’re treating yourselves to something for getting it over with, because you deserve it.
Sawyer is gentle and supportive, having a heart-to-heart conversation with you and reminding you that yes, this is important, but the world will not stop turning if you fail one exam. He knows how it feels to be compared to his peers, especially in how long it takes you to accomplish something (poor bb) and doesn’t want you stressing yourself out about that, either.
Imogen is the opposite, all tough love, giving you gentle but firm reminders: “you didn’t make it this far just to give up,”, “I know you can do this, so do it,” but she balances it out with tender affirmation when you’re done. She’ll even let you skip out on training for the day since you’ve been studying so hard (and she takes training seriously, so this is more of a reward than it seems).
Mira’s default approach is similar to Imogen’s, but she can see that you’re reaching your limit and dials it back, being more gentle with you and doing whatever you need -- encouragement? someone to just sit there? help / explanation / etc? she’s got you covered. herds you into bed at a reasonable hour so you’ll be well rested for the classes and exams.
And all of them are incredibly proud of you for working so hard and getting good grades 🤍

its so romantic how shes holding you, pressing herself into you. Sure, she’s insulting you but that’s just her love language!
She definitely enjoys making you suffer though, especially thrusting into you hard and pushing your hips on her when ur tired
“Mira, so hard for my fucking cock. A little fucking slut like you, leading the cartel that rivals mine? What a fucking disgust. Oh? You’re tired? Lo siento, nena, pero te voy a arruinarte.”
Of course, she says that last part with grit teeth and some. Extra powerful thrusts to get her point across…
💀💀 when you get an ask so delicious you don't know how to add to it. seriously this is so good, and idk what i can do to make it any better
hello? the dialogue writing? the subtle lore & emotion? the way i could vividly picture this? you're sick and twisted and you need to stop (don't stop oh my god)

—☆ THE LAST ONE !
arisu ryōhei x gn!reader
summary; once the laser shot Mira, Arisu was convinced that you both could finally go back and live a normal life until he realised that you didn’t want that. notes; ive Seen so many fics of reader reuniting with their s/o after the borderlands but what if reader wanted to stay? taglist; lmk if u wanna b on it !
The sound of fireworks invaded your ears, the loud cacophony of the mixture of cheers from the remaining visitors and the fireworks were blissfully comforting, to say the least.
The bright, colourful fireworks exploded in each and every direction. It was the only source of light in such a barren place.
It was over.
The Borderlands were finally defeated.
Arisu came down and sat next to you as you clutched your injured arm. A smile was spread across his face but you knew better than to judge a book by it’s cover.
The game played with Mira was a difficult one, to say the least. It broke Arisu’s soul, shattered it. If it weren’t for you, who knows what would’ve happened.
‘Life is a Game, try to enjoy it,’ Mira’s last words before getting hit by the laser still rung in your ears. It was hauntingly beautiful. Though she was a sinister manipulator, you couldn’t help but be drawn to her during the last round of Croquet.
The Borderlands were defeated but there was a lingering feeling of sadness that hung in the air, a feeling you couldn’t quite describe. Something bittersweet.
Arisu picked up on your gloomy demeanor rather quickly, ‘what’s wrong?’ he asked. His smile was dropped and was now replaced with a face full of worry and concern.
But before you could answer his inquiry, the automated voice spoke: ‘please state if you want to stay or leave.’
‘I…’ Arisu began, ‘I don’t want to stay.’ His statement was firm, he was sure that he didn’t want to stay and suffer here no longer. You admired his confidence.
To be honest, you were unsure of what to do, you didn’t know if you wanted to leave or stay. You’d love to go back and start over but what did that world offer you instead of suffering?
Here, in The Borderlands, you genuinely felt alive. It made you finally realise the worth of your life. The things you felt here, it couldn’t be replaced by anything you ever felt in the real world.
‘I think I’ll stay,’ you said at last, finally sure of your decision.
‘W-what?’ Arisu looked at you as if he’s trying to convince himself that he heard you wrong. You nodded sadly, confirming one of his worst fears.
You didn’t want to leave him but—
‘I’m sorry,’ you spoke quietly, tears filling up your eyes and blurring your vision.
‘You’re joking right? Why—‘ you stopped Arisu mid sentence with another apology: ‘I’m sorry but this is what I want. Please, let’s just enjoy the time we have left.’
Arisu was quiet. He didn’t say anything else afterwards.
He wrapped an arm around your body, pulling you closer to him. He kept you so close to himself, knowing that he’d lose you the following day.
You did the same, you rested your head on his shoulder as you quietly cried.
Losing him was just a mandatory sacrifice you had to make to feel like a human again.

been looking for a car so My ocs As Vehicle Owners (I swear I've posted this type of post before but Cant Find it So Might be a ReRun from my brain)
-queen for sure has a minivan with like 3 rows for the cacti squad + cara/sapote sometimes when they are present. its a newer model and practical but will Accumulate A Mess kind of quickly if left to only her so. arilla is usually the one to stay on her about maintaining it/cleans it for her. that being said pereskia is the one who will take over if queen is too sleepy to drive, no one else besides the two of them are allowed to drive queen's van (arilla cant drive with his eyesight being kind of bad, otherwise he would also be allowed to) pereskia also keeps everyone else In Line like if you are nOT buckled right NOW you are walking home.
-erdisia doesn't drive, but she constantly wants to stop at gas stations for candy, and would want control of the radio 24/7 (she's really into 'cute/girl/rock metal' I think. like poppy, babymetal, ennaria, scene queen, delilah bon, lil mariko, etc. no one else in the car would enjoy this type of music and are all actively Suffering). tunillo handles the GPS and calculates routes, hotel stops, finances, and when they actually do need to refuel, but otherwise will have headphones in so no one bothers him.
-saguaro is a fellow head against the window and Daydream-er, but is also team Can We Eat Real Food and Not Junk Food Please (queen, tunillo, and erdisia would Live On fast food/junk food because its faster. arilla, saguaro, and pereskia force them to eat Green things.)
- queen herself is a careful driver but WILL want to pull over often if she sees something cool, like oooh what is THAT roadside attraction?? :0 she, left on her own, would take like 3x as long as it SHOULD take to get somewhere just because of her Curious Nature, she wants to stop at every event and museum she sees. she will get food poisoning 40 times. its fine, really, she has a pretty big first aid kit tucked under her seat. I also think she would be really into planning fun Car Games like I spy and 20 questions bc she doesn't want anyone to get bored, and then get really sad when no one wants to play with her ahsdfhjkj
-cara canonically can drive a motorcycle but like. tiny ones. she gets intimidated by big heavy bikes. there's enough room for exactly 2 people MAYBE if you really squeeze together, but this runs the risk of making her so embarrassed she'll crash, so maybe. don't do that? you are going to get into an Accident. like she's already a nervous driver as it is.
-sapote absolutely goes for something goofy and not that practical. like if she saw a monster truck it would be really hard to convince her not to steal get a monster truck just because she thinks its funny. or a used ambulance or something so she could turn on the sirens and speed around other cars, impersonating real medics. or a stupid little segway she would drive on the highway to piss people off and get arrested for real fast. shes That Kind of Girl. committed to the Bit
-mira would have an EV when she's of driving age, there is 100% no doubt in my mind given that her parents probably would have one too its just kind of what she'd be used to, and no need to change it up when she already knows she likes them? its really cutely decorated with cohesive seat covers, stickers on the bumper and smells good. that being said its usually a little cluttered and she also usually has snacks/notebooks just kind of strewn around. I could see her being one of those people that gets anime decals huge on the side of their cars also
-persimmon would not drive, persimmon is a passenger princess who will leave makeup products and hair ties all over mira's car. she also fusses about having the windows down because that'll mess up her hair. and she'll be a backseat driver. and want fast food and expect the driver to pay. then will get sleepy and falls asleep on long trips. quite frankly you just don't want her in your car, maybe (but her perfumes WILL make it smell really good and she has good music taste when you let her use the aux cord) all of that being said she CAN drive (and actually can work on cars, too) and when mira finds out she actually can but just doesn't like to she LOSES IT lmao
-aqua is not ALLOWED to drive. you might expect her to be a Good Driver because she's a robot but the oppisite is true. self driving cars are pretty bad as it is irl you WILL end up in a car accident if she's driving even though she was soo eager to help and confident she could do it. don't actually let her. she will map out routes for roads that don't even exist and then confidently drive off the road. she will get distracted by a cute baby bunny on the side of the road and swerve into the other lane because her movement trackers are following it now, very intently. mira keeps letting her and her car keeps getting bent around trees and then aqua is strong enough to un-wrap them but she would be an excellent passenger because she doesn't need sleep so her and mira would stay up while persi sleeps just whispering and giggling together :')
#im MAD because car/vehicle hunting is going bad :( all the ones i was interested in actually sucked to drive T_T oc post makes it Better#also dont ask me what scenario all the aliens would be driving and using earth cars because i dont know. not even worried about thinking#about an explanation for this#sanchoyorambles#tm2#long post

Welcome to your life - Pt 2:
Acting On Your Best Behaviour Ch 18:
Summary:
They'd seen it in their fellow orphans often enough to recognise the pattern and were now forced to admit, despite their hopes to the contrary, that Isidora had likely suffered similar side effects.
No… they'd always known she had. The Keeper had just wanted the power that Ranrok had, enough to convince themselves that they would be able to handle it better than that naive woman.
With the start of the Keeper’s sixth-year in Hogwarts, comes a whole slew of headache-inducing challenges from the most unexpected of places. Between insignificant pests throwing wrenches into their plans and tedious teenage drama, that the Keeper is entirely unprepared for, they wonder if they'll make it to their NEWTs without losing their sanity.
Or worse, Ominis or Sebastian.
Warnings: This chapter contains smut! And parseltongue x3
Warnings: Sebastian x MC x Ominis! Drug Addiction! Spoilers! Slow-burn corruption! Dark content! Fucked up 1800s orphanages! MC has no love for Anne or Solomon! Dubious happy ending (it's happy for MC, Seb and Ominis at least).
You can also read on AO3! (chapter specific warnings below)
Notes:
Warnings: SMUT!
Yeah, that's literally it for this chapter xP Though I now need to add a parseltongue kink tag lol
Sebastian blinked drowsily, his blurry vision coming into focus gradually as he recognised the large smooth rock that he, and his lovers, had been lounging on in their undergarments. Conveniently situated in the middle of the plunge pool at the base of the waterfall, a comfortable distance away from the spray. Oh, I must have fallen asleep…
Yawning, he let his gaze wander about idly, enjoying the soothing rumble of the waterfall and running river, nuzzling his cheek comfortably against the Keeper's bare thighs. The comfortable spring breeze carried the lingering scent of their afternoon tea, and sandwiches, through the air as the sun's rays peeked through the cloudy sky in thin streams.
"Good morning." The Keeper murmured, running a hand over his hair, smoothing out the curls and trailing their fingers down the side of his jaw, making him shiver at the ticklish sensation.
"How long was I out?" Sebastian mumbled through another yawn, stretching lightly. Careful not to kick Ominis who was sitting beside him, his legs hanging off the side of the rock.
"About an hour." Ominis replied with a soft giggle, kicking his feet back and forth in the cool water as he smiled dreamily. "You were snoring rather happily."
"W- was I?" Sebastian laughed sheepishly with an apologetic smile. "Sorry 'bout that."
"It's alright, the waterfall drowned most of it out." The Keeper chuckled, continuing to caress his face and neck idly.
"Speak for yourself." Ominis flashed a wry smile as he ran long elegant fingers through his damp blond hair, tucking a few heavy wet strands behind his ear. "I heard it plain as day, though I will agree that I didn't quite mind either."
"...I see…" Sebastian mumbled, distracted by the Keeper's wandering fingers.
"Ah, Mira, Kira, be careful not to fall off the boulder, girls." Ominis hissed as he felt the twin snakes sunbathing on his lap begin to slither off and towards the end of the boulder that was partially submerged, drawing his wand from the holster around his thigh to keep an eye on them.
Sebastian shivered at the sound of Ominis' hisses, and while he didn't have the slightest clue what his lover might be saying, the low hisses, paired with the sensation of the Keeper's fingers, immediately had him stirred. Did it really sound that sensual or was that just in his head?
Feeling the Keeper’s fingers freeze against his jaw, Sebastian glanced up questioningly, before fighting back a laugh when he caught them staring at Ominis, their eyes dark with desire. Well, that answered his question.
"Hungry Speaker, we're hungry." Mira hissed, while her sister on the left flicked her tongue, taking a drink from the clear freshwater.
"Hm, I don't think we brought… Did we bring some food for the girls?" Ominis asked, unaware of the heated gaze on him as his hisses slipped back into English.
"They're hungry again?" Sebastian asked incredulously while the Keeper shook themselves from their reverie.
"Are you sure they're not just being greedy?" The Keeper chuckled. "Sebastian said they should only eat once a week."
"Hm, maybe they think they are hungry more often because they have two heads but one body?" Ominis suggested, feeling the girls wiggle over to curl around his fingers.
"I guess we should have some snacks for them and give them smaller meals, so that they don't over-eat." Sebastian sighed, sitting up and casting his gaze around.
"Hm, the fish and insects in this area might be a bit too big, perhaps there's some ants nearby." The Keeper slowly got to their feet.
"Insects… I suppose a cave would have a fair amount of small critters." Ominis sighed reluctantly, and the Keeper shot him a quizzical glance as he followed with a flick of his red tipped wand towards the waterfall. "There's a cave behind the waterfall, just… be careful in there, please."
"There's a cave behind the waterfall!?" Sebastian exclaimed excitedly, immediately jumping to his feet, slipping on the wet rock, and tumbling into the pool with a yelp.
Ominis sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose while the Keeper burst into laughter. After a few moments of floundering, Sebastian's head bobbed back up above the water's surface, his face red with embarrassment.
"Alright there, love?" The Keeper asked, their tone teasing as they crouched at the edge of the boulder.
"...yes, well. At least I am very much awake now." Clearing his throat, Sebastian flashed his most charming smile and jerked his head in the direction of the waterfall. "Shall we?"
With an answering grin, the Keeper dove into the water beside him as Ominis called after them. "Be careful!"
Staying deep enough to avoid getting pummeled, the Keeper followed Sebastian as he took a deep breath and swam under the cascade of the waterfall. Fortunately, this last waterfall drop was relatively short, and so the hail of water wasn't overly dangerous. Continuing to swim, they soon hit the opposing rock wall before finally ascending upwards towards the pocket behind the sheet of ever falling water.
Breaking the surface, Sebastian laughed breathlessly, clinging to the rocky ledge of the cave when the Keeper joined him. Raising his wand, he was about to light the tip with Lumos when the Keeper stopped him with a hand.
"Look." The Keeper murmured, gazing up in wonder. Sebastian raised his eyes to follow theirs and immediately found his breath escape him once more.
The ceiling of the cave was aglow, sprinkled and speckled with luminescence, like a starry night sky, in spite of the evening sun attempting to penetrate the sheet of falling water. Each bead of shimmering teal was barely visible, but together, the glowing clusters illuminated the relatively small cavern, reflecting off the water that coated the floor of the cave, like the aurora borealis.
"Merlin’s beard, it's a glow worm cave!" Sebastian gasped in awe, before sighing wistfully after a moment. "If only we could show Ominis."
The Keeper nodded in agreement, it was truly unfortunate that their partner couldn’t enjoy this sight with them. Still, there was little point bemoaning what 'could have been'.
"Agreed." The Keeper gave his shoulder a sympathetic squeeze before their lips curled into a sly smile. "But I'm sure there are other ways of making him see stars."
The Keeper pushed themselves up onto the outcropping ledge, while Sebastian struggled not to lose his grip on the rock in his laughter and drown, before they crouched to help him up as well.
Glancing around, the Keeper hummed thoughtfully, the cavern was rather shallow and small, with a copious amount of moss growing in large patches across the floor and walls. Being cautious to avoid stepping on any sharp rocks, or losing their footing on the wet stone, they moved towards a cluster of bright little specks trailing down the side of the wall while Sebastian examined a troop of glowing mushrooms nestled amongst the moss.
Reaching out carefully, the Keeper lightly scraped several small ant-sized baby glow worms into the palm of their hand, curling their fingers around them loosely. That'd do for now.
"Come on, I think these would make a good snack for the girls." The Keeper carefully made their way back to Sebastian's side as they spoke.
"Sure, I'm not certain what these are but they look mighty interesting." Sebastian shrugged, holding a handful of luminescent mushrooms as he rejoined them by the waterside. "We could probably do something in here in the future."
"Indeed, it seems to be a pretty convenient space." The Keeper nodded as they extracted a jar from the satchel, slung across their torso, for him to put the mushrooms inside.
"I still can't believe you put a waterproof charm on that thing just to carry it everywhere." Sebastian eyed the bag as he chuckled in amusement, returning the jar after he was done storing the stems.
"It holds too much of value for me to just leave it on the grass with our picnic spread." The Keeper shrugged nonchalantly as they tucked it into the satchel and closed it. "Besides, with all the protections on it, this bag could probably survive a dip in a volcano."
Without another word, they dove back under the waterfall, Sebastian following after them with a snicker. A few moments later, the two emerged on the other side of the waterfall with a gasp for air.
"We've got some snacks for Mira and Kira!" Sebastian called out as they swam over.
"What did the two of you find?" Ominis asked curiously, his expression relieved at his lovers' safe return.
"A glow worm rock shelter." The Keeper replied as they pulled themselves back up onto the boulder. "I got some baby glow worms for the girls."
"Glow worms? That sounds like a lovely snack." Ominis' eyebrows rose as he held a hand out, the snakes curled up in his palm. "Mira, Kira, feeding time."
"Food! Bright food!" Mira hissed eagerly, while Kira scrutinised the ant-sized glowing worms that the Keeper was holding up.
"Will we be shiny too if we eat them?" Kira asked, her tongue flicking between hisses.
"Of course!" Ominis beamed and the two snakes wiggled excitedly, opening their mouths while he turned towards Sebastian, at the sound of him settling down beside Ominis on the boulder. "Sebastian, you know a spell that can make the girls' scales glow, right?"
"Pardon?" Sebastian's expression was entirely bewildered, flinching when Ominis' expectant eyes narrowed, and he immediately began scrambling. "I- ah, hang on, let me think-"
"You have till they finish eating." Ominis promptly piled on the pressure while the Keeper snickered as they fed the snakes.
"You can't just-" Sebastian groaned, rubbing the side of his head as the snakes swallowed the small handful of worms. "Okay okay- I think this one will work."
"Good luck, Sebastian." The Keeper grinned, watching in amusement as he drew his own wand.
Sebastian narrowed his eyes in focus, knowing that if he messed up and hurt the girls instead, Ominis would most certainly tan his hide on the very rock that they were seated upon. With a careful wave of his wand over the snakes' back, Sebastian incanted a simple. "Nitor."
A few seconds later, the snakes began to glow with a faint blue sheen, just barely visible against the red hues of the setting sun and Sebastian slumped over in relief, breathing heavily as though he'd run a mile, while the snakes hissed excitedly.
"Glowing Speaker! We're glowing!" Mira exclaimed, and the snakes' tail thumped against the ground in exuberance, Kira watching the trailing fan of light it left in fascination. "Pretty!"
"Yes, I'm sure both of you look very beautiful." Ominis cooed gently.
"Speaker and his mates should try!" Mira hissed, nuzzling his fingers with her snout, and the movement made Kira hiss in protest as she was yanked to one side, disrupting her study of their own tail.
"It's quite alright, I don't think we would look nearly as lovely as the two of you." Ominis smiled softly, happy when he felt the snakes wiggle in pleasure at his words.
Sebastian side-eyed him warily as Ominis leaned over towards him, but relaxed when he simply gave Sebastian a sweet kiss on the cheek. "Thanks for humouring me. Teach me the spell later?"
"Of course." Sebastian grinned proudly, his cheeks flushing slightly as Ominis weaved their fingers together and the Keeper chuckled at how easily Ominis could play their partner, when they noticed a passing breeze making him shiver.
"It's getting chilly, we should probably head back." The Keeper suggested with a smile. "Don't think any of us want to catch a cold and waste the last four days of our holiday."
"I suppose so, let's pack up then." Sebastian nodded. "We can drop off the glowing mushrooms at the greenhouses."
"Glowing mushrooms?" Ominis echoed dubiously.
"Yeah, there were a bunch of them in the cavern." Sebastian shrugged. "I picked a few of them to examine back at Dìon."
Ominis frowned. "With your bare hands?"
"Ah." Sebastian and the Keeper looked at each other, and then down at his hands, while Ominis heaved a long-suffering sigh.
"Look, it's not that bad." Sebastian insisted placatingly as the Keeper helped Ominis dismount Sepulchria. "It was just a little shiny dust. I swear it's not itching or anything."
"You were lucky, Sebastian." Ominis shook his head, releasing the Keeper's hand when his feet were firmly on the ground and folded an arm, holding the twin snakes in the other. "You need to be more careful when touching unknown plants, who knows what could happen next time."
"We just happened to be relaxing in our knickers and it slipped my mind, it won't happen again." Sebastian’s reassurances didn’t seem to be convincing Ominis, and the Keeper opened their mouth to speak, when a pulse of magic rippling through the air made them stiffen.
Sebastian froze at the same time and both their attention immediately went towards the tent covering the underground entrance just a few meters away. The Keeper's eyes narrowed, and a moment later, Tynx popped into the space beside them.
"Master…" Tynx dipped his head in greeting and raised a hand, offering the Keeper their guest's wand.
"Ominis, go and wait for us in the greenhouses." The Keeper nodded at Tynx approvingly, for following their instructions in the event that a subject escaped, as they took the wand and stored it away in their satchel for safekeeping.
"...why?" Ominis asked hesitantly, clearly having picked up on the tense atmosphere.
"Something urgent has come up, but it's not something you'll want to know about." The Keeper explained as they returned Sepulchria to their Nab-sack. "So, it would be prudent if you would stay in the greenhouses until Sebastian and I have dealt with our business."
Sebastian patted his shoulder comfortingly. "Don't worry, it's nothing dangerous for us."
After a few seconds, Ominis' eyes widened in shocked understanding and his face paled, so soon!? He hovered uncertainly for a moment, tilting his head down towards the snakes curled around his fingers, before nodding stiffly and walking towards the greenhouses at a brisk pace without another word.
With that settled, the Keeper returned their attention to Tynx as Sebastian moved to stand beside them. "Alright, how did she escape her cell outside of a scheduled test?"
Tynx dipped his head. "It would seem that she picked the lock with a pair of chicken bones from her meals."
The Keeper's eyebrows rose, and Sebastian barked a laugh. "Chicken bones!? Got to give her credit, the woman's pretty good."
"Indeed, not bad for a woman who's lived alone out in the middle of nowhere for years. Or perhaps that’s why she has such impressive survivor skills and resilience." The Keeper flashed him a wry smile before humming. "We'll have to pay more scrutiny to the meals served to our guests in the future."
"Guess they won't be getting chicken in their meals anymore." Sebastian shook his head with a grin. "What a pity for everyone that comes after her."
"They can blame her for the dip in food quality." The Keeper snorted. "Then again most of our guests will be enjoying their stay for crimes worse than cheating me of money and living close by. Merely being used to test our defences is already a much more pleasant experience."
"That's it!?" Both Sebastian and the Keeper jumped at Ominis' furious voice behind them, spinning around to see him dispelling his disillusionment charm.
The Keeper raised an eyebrow. "Why are you eavesdropping? I thought you didn't want to know."
"That's because I trusted you when you said you wouldn't hurt anyone innocent!" Ominis spat angrily. "Yet now I find that you're torturing someone just for living near Dìon!?"
"The fact that you're eavesdropping means you didn't, in fact, trust me." The Keeper frowned, their lips pressing into a thin hard line. "And you seem to have missed my saying that she extorted money from me. A hundred galleons, mind you. Such an amount is reasonable pay for a booby trap tester."
"So, you would torture her just for money?" Ominis exclaimed, looking aghast.
"Of course not." Sebastian interjected this time. "She also lives close by and if someone were to try to find our home, they'd just need to ask her. From her greedy behaviour, we can't trust that she won't sell us out for money. We have to get rid of her."
"So, not only are you torturing her, but you’re also going to kill her just for being unfortunate enough to live in this region!?" Ominis' voice jumped an octave in distress, shaking his head. "I can't- I can't be a part of this."
With that, Ominis took off towards the gates and the Keeper grabbed his shoulder as he went past. "Ominis, wait, just listen-"
"Why should I listen to a liar!?" Ominis seethed bitterly, throwing their hand off and continuing on his path.
The Keeper ground their teeth in frustration. They needed to go after Ominis, he was just overreacting and they needed to calm him down, but they also needed to address the escaped woman problem. They ran a hand through their hair, vexed at being forced into making such a decision.
Recognising and understanding their dilemma, Sebastian placed a hand on their shoulder.
"Go after him, you're better at reasoning with Ominis." He flashed a cocky grin. "I can handle a wandless woman just fine on my own."
The Keeper huffed lightly in relief, giving him a grateful peck on the cheek. "Thanks."
They quickly made after Ominis while Sebastian, followed by Tynx, headed towards the tent in the opposite direction, giving one last concerned glance towards his lovers, before lifting the tent flap to enter.
"Ominis!" The Keeper called out, finally catching up to him near the gates. "You must understand-"
"You swore!" Ominis snapped as he spun around to face them halfway under the gates' arches.
The Keeper flinched, almost slamming into him from the suddenness of his halt, and they instinctively moved out of the way to avoid collusion, placing their back against the stone wall as Ominis turned towards them at the sound.
They reached a hand forward towards his shoulder with the intent of soothing his hurt, when he caught them by the wrist, jerked them closer and then slightly higher, in concert with his other fist wrapped in their robes. The Keeper grasped the arm holding them up by their clothing while their other arm was held upwards over his shoulder, preventing them from bracing against him to regain their balance.
"You swore, to me! That you wouldn't harm innocents!" Ominis hissed, the last word slipping into parseltongue in his anger.
The Keeper swallowed, practically startled out of their frustration, their breath catching at the familiar venom he'd directed at them when he'd caught them outside the Undercroft. Oh, but this was so much more biting. Certainly, the instinct to retaliate was there, yet the Keeper couldn't deny the equally strong thrill that pulsed through their veins at the intensity Ominis was exuding.
Reminded of the reason he'd caught their eye in the first place.
Setting aside the warm coil of arousal blooming in the midst of their frustration, with his insistence on framing this situation as an overt betrayal of his trust, the Keeper growled back. "Then what would you have me do now, my love?"
Ominis froze at the question, unable to find an answer, and seeing this, the Keeper ploughed on. "The woman is a security risk, you know this too, and while she may be innocent of any capital crime, she is no saint. You've not even met the woman, don't pretend that this is about her."
Ominis gritted his teeth and the Keeper bared theirs in turn, deciding not to hold back. "Choose. Turn a blind eye and trust my judgement, along with my definitions… or be aware and thus have the ability to influence the outcome."
"I promised I would try to avoid harming those I deem innocent." The Keeper's voice softened, and they released his forearm and cradled his face in their palm. "But even then, it is superseded by the vow I made that I will not lose either you or Sebastian. I will do whatever it takes to uphold that, to the cost of all else."
Ominis' eyes widened, he hadn't thought of it that way, that what they were doing was their way of protecting him and Sebastian. His anxious and agitated breaths against their cheek gradually slowed, before he lowered their arm, allowing it to rest upon his shoulder.
"I just-" Ominis' voice shook and his pale eyes moistened.
"I know, you're scared that you're wrong about us." The Keeper cooed softly, pressing their foreheads together. "But you're not, it's simply that we can't always do the 'right thing' by both the world and ourselves."
Ominis' jaw tightened, remembering how he'd convinced Anne not to turn Sebastian in, and a sob choked in his throat at the thought of what the 'right thing' to do would have been then. "I- I know."
Was he to choose between those he loved and the moral righteousness he believed in all over again? He didn't want to lose either of his lovers. Yet, the nauseating sound of screams echoed in his ears incessantly, that familiar cold guilt gnawing at his insides. "But this… this is the same as-"
"No. This is not the same as what your parents forced you to do." The Keeper tightened their grip on his tense shoulders firmly, pulling him from the prison of his mind. "This is merely a solution that we came to for our problems."
"If you cannot trust us in this yet, give us a chance to earn it then." The Keeper whispered, caressing his jaw gently, feeling him shiver slightly at the touch. "I'm not forcing you to join us or even to know the specifics of our actions, but you have to decide if you want to be aware of her fate at all."
He remained silent for several long moments, before taking a deep breath and releasing it, warming the narrow space between them.
"I- …I'll think about it." Ominis murmured reluctantly, his eyes closing and his grip on their wrist moving to cling to their robes, silently pleading for comfort and distraction.
The Keeper gave an approving hum as they leaned forward to capture his lips, rewarding his compliance and dragging their tongue over his lower lip, delighting in the shudder that rippled through his frame.
They felt Ominis' breath tremble and his lips parted, pressing them against the stone behind them and deepening the kiss, cradling their jaw in his cold hands. The Keeper sighed in satisfaction, running their hands down his chest and revelling in the surge of desperation in his embrace, his tongue pressing against theirs hungrily.
The Keeper was more than happy to remind Ominis of what they had, of how much easier it would be to just trust them without thought. To help him come to terms with the circumstances they'd found themselves in, let him drown himself in them and cast aside his doubts.
Slipping their hand under his tunic, they felt his abdominal muscles spasm and a soft gasp against their lips at the cool touch. Pushing past the loose waistband around his hips, the Keeper ran their fingers along his hardened length, swallowing his moan, feeling his hips press against them eagerly and enjoying the way his breath shook at the feel of their skin against his own.
Their strokes were slow and languid, drawing out his pleasure and urging him to let go of his restraint. The Keeper shivered at Ominis' frustrated growl at their teasing.
They couldn't help the wide smirk that spread across their lips when Ominis' fingers tightened on their chin, holding them in place for him to devour, his already thin patience pushed to the limit and their head swam in the face of his uncharacteristic inhibition.
The Keeper struggled to hold themselves in focus as his lips trailed down their jaw to their neck, taking out his impatience on their skin. While with his other hand, he gripped their wrist, holding them against himself more firmly and they huffed a light shaky laugh, finally giving into his demands.
Rubbing their hand over his length more strongly, the Keeper felt their own arousal spike at the low hisses that escaped his lips as his hips rocked against their palm, his half-lidded eyes glazed over with mindless desire. They wondered if Ominis had even realised that he'd slipped into parseltongue again, they rather liked the idea that he hadn't.
Ominis' heavy breaths warmed their throat as he rutted against them, worshipping their neck with his mouth as he sought his own pleasure. Pouring his frustration, uncertainty, and distress onto their body, drowning out the voice that urged him to recoil from them. To flee while he still could.
The Keeper revelled in their victory as they felt the fight bleed from his body, lost in his haze of lust, and enjoying the way he also lost the ability to hold them, reduced to bracing his hands against the stone as he succumbed to his needs. Eagerly committing to memory every tremor in Ominis' shaky breaths and the force with which he was pinning them to the wall, his frame all but enveloping them like a heated blanket as though to cage them in.
Which of them was more desperate to hold on to the other, the Keeper wondered, as he clung to them with such fervour. They could practically feel that hot and delicious ecstasy building in Ominis with every thrust into their unyielding grip, yes, they too would never let him go.
Until a low groan ripped itself from his throat and a sticky heat coated their palm.
Ominis gasped, his hips grinding against them for a moment more, before his frame sagged tiredly against theirs, trembling ever so slightly as he panted into their shoulder, nuzzling against their collar drowsily.
Several beads of sweat had gathered along the side of his face and the Keeper gently collected them with their lips and tongue, before coaxing him back up to capture his mouth as they removed their hand from his undergarments.
They took their time, savouring the heat of his exertion and stealing his breath as he gradually came down from his high.
"Come love, let's head inside." The Keeper murmured against his lips before pulling away, taking his hand in theirs and guiding him past the gate and towards the tent.
Ominis followed docilely, the Keeper wiping their other soiled hand on some tall grass along the way.
The two descended the stairs into the underground and the Keeper quickly spotted Sebastian speaking with Tynx at the bottom of the stairs.
Noticing his partners enter, Sebastian dismissed Tynx and turned to face them with a concerned expression. "Feeling better, Omi?"
The Keeper could tell from his discerning glance, that Sebastian had guessed what had happened. No doubt Ominis' rumpled clothing and their marked-up neck had given it away, but while Sebastian looked slightly uncertain, he didn't seem particularly upset at the Keeper’s method of consoling Ominis.
"I still don't think she should die." Ominis grimaced, his voice still slightly husky from their activities.
"I don't have any particular preference honestly, if you can come up with a method of resolving this threat to our security that doesn't involve her death, I don't think either of us would mind." Sebastian shrugged, glancing at the Keeper for support.
The Keeper nodded as they drew their wand. "Likewise. I would be content with robbing her of ninety galleons worth of possessions and resolving this security threat. Scourgify."
"Ninety? I thought she demanded a hundred?" Sebastian asked with a bewildered expression.
The Keeper shrugged, tucking their wand away again. "She did give me information that had value, there's barely anything else on the history of Dìon. I just don't believe that it was worth more than ten galleons, thus I'd like the balance repaid."
Sebastian burst into laughter at how specific they were, and Ominis couldn't help the wry smile that fought to emerge upon his face. It was certainly reassuring that his lovers didn't desire to harm for harm's sake, like his family did, but simply wished to pragmatically defend their happiness.
Albeit a little more petty in nature than Ominis would prefer, but well, he did like their clearly defined moral code for its consistency, as well as their empathy towards him and Sebastian. He supposed some pettiness came part and parcel with the territory.
"Fair enough." Ominis tilted his head to the side, pondering this conundrum, when a thought occurred to him. "What if we were to wipe her memory of the conversation entirely?"
"A Memory charm?" Sebastian raised his eyebrows. "That could work, I do know how to cast the Obliviate charm, theoretically at least. Found it in a book in the Restricted Section."
"That's convenient, sure, we can wipe the last year and dump her outside her hut." The Keeper nodded, feeling a little disappointed that they couldn't experiment on her, but it was worth keeping Ominis happy. "After taking anything of value as compensation for my galleons, it'll give her the illusion that she got robbed, hit on the head and lost some time."
"I think her suffering under your… care should be more than enough repayment." Ominis narrowed his eyes, still not entirely appeased, it seemed.
"Is it really suffering if we heal her back to full health and wipe her memory? There will be no lasting impact on her that way, her experience here might as well have never happened." The Keeper reasoned with a wry smile. "The only one such a gesture would actually benefit is you."
Ominis flinched and turned away with a grimace.
"Besides, if she still has her home, she might simply continue living on the edge of our property, she'd still be a security threat if she remains close by." The Keeper shrugged. "Last thing we need is for her to spot an escapee before we apprehend them."
"If anyone can even get that far." Sebastian grinned rather smugly.
"Don't get overconfident, she did manage to get out of her cell." The Keeper chastised him, though their fond tone probably wasn't helping their own point, they just couldn't quite suppress it.
Ominis sighed but tipped his head concedingly, he supposed it was good enough that they'd agreed to his suggestion, he would see if he could help the woman somehow afterwards. He paused and frowned, speaking of which, there had been no mention of…
"What's her name?" Ominis asked.
Several long moments of silence passed, before he sighed again.

Hope ya'll like the comic strip! I wanted to put this exchange in the chapter, but I just couldn’t fit it into the flow x') and I had a really clear image of it in my head so I decided to just draw it instead! I don’t usually draw Chibi style so it was tricky getting the expressions right, but hopefully it came out well ^_^
I also intend to revisit how Ominis was thinking and feeling, during the argument/smut scene, next chapter. Kinda give everyone a clearer idea of what was going on in his head and how he’s internalised it, since most of that scene was from the Keeper’s perspective. I rewrote that scene so many times-
And I think it's more likely for Ominis to slip into parseltongue when he's worked up since he's using it more often now that he's got Mira and Kira to chat with. We know that Harry can't tell when he slips into parseltongue before he found out that talking to snakes isn't normal, so I feel like it would be reasonable to slip up there.
(I'm just making shameless excuses to put some hot hissing in there because I think it's hot. >///<)
Interestingly enough, when my boyfriend/beta read through the chapter, he commented that the ending of the waterfall scene parallels the ending of the chapter with almost the same dynamic between the three of them despite the vastly different circumstances, and I thought that was pretty cool since I didn’t do that on purpose, these kids do whatever they want while living rent free in my head and I just write down what I see as clearly as I can xP

chapter 6 is on the way
I think I should have chapter 6 out by tomorrow or the day after that if I don’t, then it’s most likely I was busy or lazy as hell. I’m stuck at a writers paste area and I am using a bit more words than I usually do since I’m experimenting with a lot of different perspectives since we only got to see Mira and the narrative.
This chapter is going to be more of a wholesome side to get everyone comfy however, the chapter after that will start taking back the dark topics all the first couple of chapters were building for the characters and for the people to feel comfortable around them
And yes, I’m gonna make you feel comfy and cozy and you’re going to suffer through hell enjoy

Chapter 25: Well baby, I surrender to the strawberry ice cream [Chishiya x Reader]
You wanted to leave this ridiculous game and be done with it, once and for all.
That didn't mean you were pro-torturing someone.
Just as Chishiya had first guessed, Matsushita was the Jack. It had been quite easy to discover - you all had just remained in your cells for a few more minutes after you had said your suits (all of you correctly except for poor Kotoko) and the door had been unlocked. He had proceed to exclaim things such as "I win!", thinking the sound of the office woman's head being blown off came from more than once cell and laugh like a truly demented person would.
Was there no one mentally sane anymore when it came to face cards?
First there was Mira, who should be admitted into a psychiatric hospital immediately. Not only for participating as a sort of game master in this games, but for being part of The Beach for as long as she did, acting like an undercover agent of sorts, and still go forward, when she had seen so many people die and suffer. Then, the King of Spades, who was completely nuts and seemed to think the Borderlands was the perfect scenario for a retelling of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre only with anti-tank rifles and who knows what other weapons, and last but not least, Matsushita, who just seemed to not be in his right mind.
And, to be honest, just the fact that someone didn't care about other people literally losing their lives was very telling. At least for you.
Anyway, Chishiya had been the one to leave the prison cells first and had told the man his little speech, about how he had discovered he was the Jack of Hearts. You had also left your cell, but were silent, just screaming "Go, Chishiya go!" in your head and, maybe a little bit, enjoying the feeling of outsmarting someone else.
What you didn't love so much was the fact that then, Banda and Yaba had decided they were going to torture Matsushita to get information about this world, and about how to become part of it. That's the reason why the former hadn't killed him in the last round.
"Bunch of nutcases." You had declared, back in the snack room, Chishiya eating his cookies seating down by a bench as if nothing was happening, you taking up the task of filling the silence to try and avoid hearing any screams. He deserved it. But you didn't approve, couldn't approve, who would? "Who would want to stay here? I mean, Banda, sure, he is a murderer after all but I thought the Yaba guy was nothing more than a businessman!" You were walking around the room, gesticulating dramatically to emphasize your words.
"Some people haven't lived a blessed life."
Your eyes focused on him, wondering if what he said was just a mere comment or if there was something else to be implied with those words.
"What about you?" You asked, directly.
"Tell me a memory you have about your father."
You frowned, not because he was not answering your question - it was something he did often and you knew better by then. But because, what did you father have to do with any of this?
"I don't know. He always buys me blueberries because he knows I like them the most, so every time he goes to get groceries, I know there is a box of them waiting for me by the kitchen's table." You made a conscious effort to speak about him in the present tense.
"And one thing you like to do together?"
"We both like to eat. We would go try out new restaurants or make home-cooked meals together, for example."
"My most prominent memory about my father is seeing the back of his head."
A small smile had been appearing in your lips while speaking about your dad, but it vanished when you heard the blonde man say those words.
"We rarely talk, even now. He is always with the computer, surrounded by medical books. His marriage to my mother wasn't due to love, either, nothing but a formality. This meant she was not happy. That led to a difficult childhood."
You didn't know what to say. You were just staring. He simply lifted his shoulders up and down. He looked unaffected by what he was telling you. Maybe so much time had passed that now he simply accepted it.
You sat down next to him, and grabbed his hand, holding it between both of yours.
"I'm sorry."
"It's fine."
"No, it's not. I'm really sorry. I don't know what else to say…"
"It is in the past."
"Yeah, but…" You were biting the inside of your cheek, trying to find the words. There were none. He was right, it was in the past, and nothing you could say would make him feel better about it. "Oh, your dad just did that so that you could have a nice life." "I'm sure your mother was hurt because of the unhappy marriage, but I'm sure she still loves you very much!" No. That was bullshit. There was no point. You could only look forward. To the future.
"What's your favorite fruit?"
"Hm? Maybe strawberries. Why?"
"When we are back in the real world…" You started, smiling at him, leaning your head to one side. "I will buy you strawberries every time I go to the grocery store. I'll try really, really hard that my roommate doesn't get to them before you, maybe I'll have to hide them somewhere. But then, every time you come to visit me, you will have strawberries."
He smiled back, openly, sincerely.
"Will you also make me home-cooked meals?" There he was. Back to messing with you.
"No. I am horrible at cooking, I might burn the house down and I'm renting. I can make you like, spaghetti maybe, but they may get stuck to the pot. But we can order takeaway!"
You kept talking, making plans for an uncertain future until the round ended.
Matsushita killed himself, the torture inflicted by Yaba and Banda too much to withstand for another hour.
You won the game, but it really didn't feel good. Almost like cheating.
What felt great was Chishiya's hand in yours while you were leaving the penitentiary center.
Just as you crossed the door, the massive zeppelin looming over it started to blow up and burn.
"Is that going to happen every single time we clear one of those games!?" You asked after an initial scream of surprise. Your blonde companion was as undisturbed as always.
"I guess so."
"I hope nobody was standing right below it."
He chuckled. "I first meant what I said about you being the white knight of this place as a joke, but now…"
"Would that make you my sweet damsel in distress?"
You could almost hear the lifted eyebrow.
"Do I look like one?"
"Blonde, pretty, dressed in white to symbolize your purity… Yes, you do."
"No."
"Yes." You were pretending to be serious, but almost couldn't hold your laughter any longer. "Now, let's get out of here before my princess gets burned to death by the remains of an airship falling on her… It would be a very anticlimatic ending, wouldn't it?"

URGENT HELP🚨🚨🚨🍉🇵🇸
Hello,
How do you do ? I hope to be in a good condition.
This is my special campaign
We hope to help us by donating or sharing to others.
Every donation makes a different even if it a small.
As you know, the war began on October 7 and lasted ten months. During this period, we were unable to obtain food, drink, or treatment because we did not have money.
There is no source of income for the family at the present time, so we are unable to buy food, clean water, and medicine, especially after we are afflicted with the ongoing infectious diseases spread in the north like Hepatitis C disease.
Our house has been damaged a lot since the beginning of the war. We are from the north of Gaza and we are still in the north and have not displaced to the south. We displaced 10 times from place to another seeking to safety .
We hope for your help and support, even if only a little.

I am Ola Ferwana from Palestine ,Gaza. I'm a mother of 3 kids Yamen, Qusai and Mira. My husband travelled to Egypt to get medicines before 2 days of the war 7 of October on Gaza.
I faced very great challenges and the responsibilities of my three children in the absence of my husband, as he had traveled and the crossing was closed and we could not see each other. The amount of suffering I was feeling cannot be described.I am reaching out to you today with a heavy heart and a plea for urgent assistance. I have left my home and have been displaced more than 8 times with my children. I am living in the war_torn region of Gaza, facing unimaginable challenges, with lack of water, food scarcity, and constant threats to their safety.
I have delivered a girl baby,Mira, through the war, She was 10 months old and my husband didn't see her until this moment.
Yaman was 7 years old, and his simplest dream was to complete the first grade at school, but his school was completely destroyed.
If it is opened, I can't go to Egypt as I don't have the money because my husband is the sole breadwinner for my family.
I hope to provide us by giving support in order to cover the costs associated with ensuring our safe passage of Egypt through the borders. Please stand with me, we are now homeless, with absence of children needs like milk, diapers, with no food. Please help us to stay a live and leave Gaza with my children. Share this link as you can as possible .
Thank you for your kindness, empathy and generosity during this challenging time. With sincere thanks and warm regards,
Ola

UPDATE: September 28, 2024
Hello, Today is my daughter Mira's birthday, my daughter who has not been seen by her father until this moment. What crime did she commit to witness this injustice? What is her fault to see all this genocide, fear and anxiety? What is her fault to be deprived of her father's embrace? I hope you share our campaign with all your family and friends on the widest scale to save my family and get them out of this war to Egypt when the border crossing opens. Your participation and support is the only way to survive. Please share my story to all your friends and family to help and give the support. Actually, we are in a dire need of money, I can't imagine how to deal with my children 's needs with the absence of my husband. He is still stuck in Egypt since the beginning of the war. Please guys every euro counts, you can help my family eat and have the supplement for them for another week. Please, be the reason of saving the life of a family that was living a warm life. I hope that my voice heard and someone share my story and give the help. I know that the war lasted 1 year ang you feel bored and lethargic hearing my stories. But the war didn't stop and the suffering didn't end yet. If you want to support, you can do. All of love ❤️ Thank you Ola
UPDATE: November 8, 2024
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support and contributions ❤️❤️ which helping to ease the hardships through your donations, support, and humanity. Thank you to everyone who donated and helped alleviate the ongoing suffering by providing food, clean water, and medicine. I'm sorry to say that the situation in the besieged northern Gaza has become extremely difficult and worse than ever before. For over a year, we have lacked basic necessities for myself and my three children. Now winter has arrived, bringing with it the struggle to provide winter clothing for me and my children. I am facing great difficulty in providing these winter clothes to keep my children warm. The crossings remain closed, and no goods or food are coming into northern Gaza. And if supplies are available, the prices are incredibly high and unaffordable.
hope my campaign does not stop with you but is shared with all your friends and family. You are my second family ❤️❤️, who has stood by me in these tough times. Through your support and by sharing my campaign, you are saving a family from hunger, fear, cold and displacement. So, please share my campaign widely as much as you can to reach to more people may help me All thanks for your humanity

This is the link if you would to read our story well 👇👇

Thank you all

With sincere thanks and warm regards, Ola

Ok first let me respond to our convo LOL
Omg Mira truly soccer coded guys…1) hope you guys manage to stay cool! 2) NOOOOOO your unintentional rizz is actually too strong…props to that dude who helped you though omg!! Hope you guys are all okay though and that this doesn’t happen again that’s actually the worst…
Ok commentary
MIRA YOU ATE AND LEFT NO CRUMBS!!! Omg bfb Karasu edition was SO!! GOOD!!!!
Ok first of all jaw to the floor. No. Jaw through the floor THE WC??? You weren’t kidding about that but I feel like I just got surprised with like winning the lottery oh my god (smh tumblr for making you split it into two..) Ok I was ballparking 33k as the final THIS IS INSANE
I laughed though I read part two first and I was like “oh ok maybe there’s a flashback part?? We’re diving right into the college scene”. . . ……………….anyways
Ok but BABY SNOTTY KARASU >>>>>> awww the way that he’s just a cute little sibling who likes tagging along with his sister is so adorable….the first part where he started crying after playing trains and immediately stopped when his mom suggested watching tv is so funny LMAO
Also SHSGSHS THE “drowning” SCENE LMFAOOO ok that was so wholesome though…like y/n saving him the embarrassment from yayoi and furthering their trust in each other (??)…so good….
I saw that sneaky foreshadow where yayois like “stfu bro I’m gonna date a model” then I was like oh here we go Yukimiya incoming LMAOO for once no suffering for him though!!! Breaking the vicious cycle LOL
Ok but I LOVE the way that the whole kinda premise of the story relies on how y/n isn’t able to distinguish between romantic and familial/platonic love as an only child….like omg…maybe I’m just a sucker for tropes where characters haven’t fully developed a concrete/full understanding of the intricacies of love??? Kinda like bfb Otoya but in a different way!
Ok and I love the reasoning for the hair wax…like Karasu’s hair is just so untamable that they have to use heavy duty wax to keep it in place (this lowk reminded me of artistic swimmers and how they use like gelatin to full on encase their hair LOL)
Also just comparing the two I love the way that yayoi and seiko express their thoughts about y/n and their respective brothers differently? Where yayoi was like oh yeah we all kinda knew and expected it it’s whatever and where seiko is almost slightly in denial-ish and although ends up figuring out the signs is still like “you better not make her cry bitch” to Otoya LOL ofc the story context and circumstances kinda set that up but I enjoyed the different avenues!
DRUNK Y/N LMAOOOOOOOO omg that was lowk funny like atp I thought she was just gonna full on confess but plot twist there’s more!! Oblivious y/n still has yet to fully grasp her feelings……
Honestly there’s probably so much more I could say but either way THIS WAS SO WORTH THE WAIT!!! Truly feeding Karasu nation a year’s worth of content this was amazing…..IN MIRA WE TRUST o7 can’t wait to see what you put out next!! But also take it easy this was huge LMAO Omw to go reread that masterpiece
- Karasu anon
LMAOOO i was born to be into bllk fr 🤩 and yes we have been doing our best!! it’s a struggle at times but not entirely impossible 😰 BRO IT WAS SO SCARY i was lowkey frightened asf but it all worked out for the best!! thankfully the other guy was there and said smth because i was lost…ig if he hadn’t been there i would’ve eventually thought to text my dad or brother to come from their seats to help me but lowkey the thought did not cross my mind in the moment 😭 hoping it doesn’t happen again fr though!!
COMMENTARY TIME LET’S GO!! YAYYYY I’M SO GLAD IT LIVED UP TO EXPECTATIONS 😋 and i told you the final word count was going to be insane ghdkdjsjs throwback to when i thought it was going to be less than 10k words…i cannot believe it ended up at over 40k LMAOOO like that is literally unreal to me 😟 what karasu does to a mf 😓
LMAO i hope you didn’t get too far into part two before realizing because part two is def better with the context of part one 😩 like i said in another ask i wish tumblr would’ve let me keep it as one part (that’s how it is on ao3) but oh well 🙁 hopefully most people don’t get confused and read part one first HAHAH
BABY KARASU WAS SO FUN TO WRITE TBH him with his little trains and his book about bugs and his blue raincoat with mittens UGHHHHH he’s so cute 🥹🥹🥹 and you know he was so round and squishy the entire time too omg i literally want to eat him
you know i had to include it 🤩 but i decided to make it a display of their bond (which as we know is very different than the one he has w yayoi) instead of anything too crazy…also slight foreshadowing because y/n mentions she won’t ever let him go and as we find out in the future she truly is incapable of that!!
YUKIMIYA IS FINALLY FREED FROM THE VILLAIN ALLEGATIONS!! HAHA i was giggling adding that little line in there 🤭 like yup you already know yayoyuki is CANON (to me) i had to foreshadow just a tad…to be honest they feel like they would be a very cute couple because yuki is so patient and kind versus yayoi is very sassy but also mature in a way?? they give very “he asked for no pickles 😐” energy HFSJSSK idk if that makes sense 😭
OKAY I’M GLAD THAT DIDN’T FEEL FORCED OR CONTRIVED OR ANYTHING i rlly wanted to show how she is just as badly in love with him as he is with her but she just doesn’t get it?? like girl…this is not normal friendly behavior…plus her dating the one guy from her high school threw another wrench in things because she liked him but LOVED karasu so she got the two things confused i guess?? I DON’T KNOW yayoi explained it better in the fic 😭 but it made sense to me considering how long y/n has known karasu…like yeah when you’re six years old you’re not in love with anyone but even back then she always gravitated towards him and i feel like it was almost inevitable in a way that they’d fall in love because of just how close they always were
NFJDNDSK i’m imagining karasu to have like a version of nagi’s hair but a little straighter and it sticks up a bit more?? so that’s why he has to use the wax because he literally just looks like an idiot without it 😰 plus i thought messy haired baby karasu fit so well with how he acted!! so now in my mind that’s the real reason for his crazy style 🥱 like if you’re going to put wax in it might as well do smth fun yk
i think that because of the length of karasu’s version we also really get to see yayoi’s friendship with y/n a ton!! especially because most of the scenes between karasu and y/n also include yayoi it’s very explicit how close the two are and how much they care abt each other 🥹 seiko on the other hand wasn’t as present in the otoya version because it just didn’t make sense for her to be there ig?? and also otoya and y/n’s relationship was much more lighthearted and resolved much faster compared to karasu and y/n’s…like a quick “fix yourself and we’re good” versus sixteen years of pining 😓 i wanted seiko and yayoi to feel like different characters especially considering one is a younger sister and one is older hence their diff reactions to the eventual relationship (plus yayoi is like 22 and seiko is 16 when the reader gets with their respective brothers so that definitely contributed) ☝🏻 also to be fair seiko has watched eita cheat on a bunch of girls and be bad at relationships whereas yayoi has seen tabito only ever be in love w y/n his entire life (and same for y/n honestly because lbr she was NO BETTER) so she no matter how much she bullies him she knows he’ll take things seriously and is probably the only person that’ll treat y/n as well as she deserves 🤩 but yes long story short i didn’t want to just have a “default sister best friend character” i wanted them each to feel unique and at least a little developed in their own ways even though they don’t even have NAMES in canon let alone personalities or anything like that 😔
DRUNK Y/N HAD ME LAUGHINGGGG poor karasu is such a saint for getting up in the middle of the night to carry her back to her apartment, give her water and food, wash her face and do her skincare, and then GET KICKED OUT AFTERWARDS 😭😭😭😭😭 i think her kissing him back at first was her confessing in a way but until yayoi talked some sense into her she just didn’t realize and thought she was a terrible person for taking advantage of “little baby tabito” like that (meanwhile he is a fully grown man who kissed her first)
YESSSS SO GLAD TO PROVIDE FOR KARASU NATION LIKE ALWAYS 🫡 i have two reqs for him that aren’t yours so more karasu content is on the horizon…however up next are my last two requests from my milestone event which are both for hiori!! so a little break from tabito 😲 i need to like reread white butterfly or smth to get into that mindset again 😭 but yes i have no idea when those will be out and they def will be on the shorter side because WHEW bfb took it out of me!! although i have the entire plane ride back home coming up so it’s very likely i’ll get bored and start working on it soon enough anyways 😨 the mira posting drought is hopefully over though!! i bet ppl thought i was on hiatus because of how long bfb karasu version took to finish and post 😓💔

Hello!! I have an unusual request—I'm very curious about which ocs of yours would be into branding their s/o!!
Thank you for the request! I've answered this one first because it was easier to write but it was fun! I hope you enjoy ^^ I wasn't sure which OCs you'd want included so I just did all the OCs I thought capable of it!
Character: Multiple Word Count: 1086 Scenario: What OCs would be into branding their S/O? Warnings: Blood, abusive dynamics, implied death
Mira wouldn't intend to brand you at all. He doesn't want to.
He hates hurting people and so intentionally branding you is something he wouldn't even think of while he's still sound of mind, however if you're around him long enough, being 'branded' by him might be something that happens regardless.
You'll find your skin tainted pitch black where he's touched you or where you've touched him. He can't help it—he doesn't want this, please. He'll beg you to leave before it's too late, but it probably is already too late. Why, why didn't he push you away sooner? Why didn't you leave? He got too attached. He liked you far too much and now look what he's caused. His brand is a mark of death.
Though it may not actually get to that point, Eliot would at least think about branding you, especially if the topic comes up at some point.
Any way he can prove he owns you is one he's enamoured by, and though he doesn't want to actively harm you, he selfishly thinks that the small amount of pain it'd cause is worth it for seeing his own personal mark on your skin, and you should think so too. He's thought of simply branding you with his name or the mark of Filomena. Whether he's forsaken his god or not doesn't matter. The crescent moon is his to claim you with.
He wouldn't want to carve the mark into you—he's squeamish when it comes to blood and the sight would probably make him squirm—but using a branding iron would be fine, wouldn't it? If he brought it up... would you get mad at him?
Regardless of how far his fantasies get in his mind, he'll likely never be able to act on them. Luckily for you, his threats are largely empty and his jokes equally so. Unless he thinks he could truly get away with branding you or you bring it up yourself, branding will remain just that: a fantasy.
If your relationship is stable, Haine won't want to brand you. There are other ways he'll happily mark you up that don't hurt as much and aren't as long lasting. After everything you've both been through, leaving a permanent scar on your delicate skin is something that would turn his stomach rather than turn him on.
However if your relationship isn't so stable, he's not opposed to branding you. He hates you but you belong to him. Your mind, body and, most importantly, your soul, all belong to him, and why shouldn't he leave evidence of that?
Maybe he can use his nails or his teeth... bite and carve deep enough that it scars forever and ever. Not like you'll have your body long enough for it to matter, but you're fine with that, aren't you? Even when every piece of you is gone—when you've rotted to nothing but dust, your soul a part of him and your entire being reduced to nothing but a memory to him and him alone—he wants to make his mark on you before that happens.
He's not buying time. He's not delaying what he original intended to do with you. He simply hates you, and he wants you to suffer as much as you possibly can before he finally erases you into nothingness.
Damien's way of branding you is indistinguishable to anything else he already does to you. You probably wouldn't even be able to tell that branding you was his intention if it wasn't for the elated way he told you that was what he wanted. There's no point asking him why he suddenly thought of it. You were well aware by now that Damien was simply sick and twisted and his degeneracy was only amplified when you were involved.
He'll want to cut into you with a scalpel, his preferred choice of medical apparatus. A nice sharp blade that allows him the most delicate of cuts. He can carve whatever he wants, it doesn't matter. He just wants to enjoy the tenderness of your skin as it splits open, the hotness of your blood when it spills over his fingers. He wants to see your insides. They belong to him.
He won't go overboard and leave you tattered with cuts and scars—he's not a sadist, he gleefully tells you—he just wants one area of your skin to cut into and leave a nice scar on purpose. Though he usually only makes incisions for experimental purposes, this one has no other purpose but to entertain him and you. He wants to feel the thrill of leaving a very intentional mark on you. He wants to watch your expression when the blade sinks in, wants to smear blood across your lips and kiss them. The way he cuts up his cadavers and living subjects is calculated and cold, but this is an expression of his love.
You won't need to worry about it getting infected. He's a doctor. He'll make sure it heals up into a nice satisfying scar.
The thought of branding you will naturally cross Alastor's mind at some point. He's possessive and controlling, and he'd simply love to leave his mark on you somehow.
It doesn't have to be a painful way of marking you so to speak. He's perfectly content marking you up with hickeys when you're being intimate with each other. He'll suddenly become eager to trail kisses down your jaw and neck instead of kissing your lips.
He's left hickeys on his one-night-stands before, but usually only one. For a while, doing so was a way for him to amuse himself. He liked watching his partners have to carefully cover up their shame. For you, however, he wants to leave as many as possible in places you can't always cover. He wants people to see that you're his.
If he's feeling especially jealous or possessive, he'll bite you instead. He doesn't care if you protest. He wants this mark to last.
You best hope you don't ever upset him too much, or he just might start thinking of more permanent ways of proving you belong to him. Hickeys will eventually fade, but a brand from a branding iron won't. He should brand you with his own version of his family's emblem. How would you like that?
It might sound like a threat to scare you at first, but if Al suddenly starts investing in an artist or a blacksmith, you might want to start with some damage control.

REVIEW
The Talk of Coyote Canyon by Brenda Novak
Coyote Canyon #2
Dysfunctional families leave trauma scarring family members and many in this book have been scarred. The possibility of overcoming what has happened in the past to forge personal strength and a positive future is not easy but can be achieved by those who persevere, find the right place to be, and are supported by those who care. Truly enjoyed this book!
What I liked:
* Ellen Truesdale: owns her own drilling business, in debt, in competition with her father, survivor, difficult mother, absentee father, jealous stepmother, lonely, guarded, wants to love and be loved but afraid to trust
* Hendrix Durant: orphaned at eleven, taken in by his aunt, strong, caring, protective, pleaser who tries to avoid conflict, works for his uncle, grows a lot in this book
* Leo: Hendrix’s cousin, loving, open, sweet, adult with Down Syndrome
* The friendship between Talulah and Ellen
* The enemies to lovers storyline with slow burn between Ellen and Hendrix
* The plot, pacing, setting, and writing
* Getting to see some of the characters from previous books
* The mystery to be solved over who sabotaged the Haslem’s new well
* The small town feel
* The way the past was revealed and wrongs exposed along with the impact they had
* That some characters were made aware of the wrong they had done
* That it was believable, sometimes sad, but provided hope and a happy ending
* Wondering who will have their story told in the next book
What I didn’t like:
* Who and what I was meant not to like
* Thinking about the pain suffered by Ellen, Hendrix, and a few others
Did I enjoy this book? Yes – Stayed up till 2:30am to finish it!
Would I read more in this series? Definitely
Thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin-Mira for the ARC – This is my honest review.
5 Stars
BLURB
She’s not here to make friends. She’s here to make trouble. With her piercings, tattoos and spiky blond hair, Ellen Truesdale doesn’t quite fit in with the other folks in Coyote Canyon—and that’s just fine with her. She’s only here to put her father out of business, as payback for abandoning her when she was young. Or is she more interested in finally proving that she was worth keeping? Either way, she’s struggling to keep her rival well-drilling company afloat. And being a single woman in a male-dominated field has started to take a toll. So when Hendrix Durrant steps in to help, Ellen has no choice but to let him—even though he happens to be her father’s business partner and therefore her enemy. But the closer she works with him, the more she sees what she’s been missing…in life and love. And once she lets go of her anger long enough to learn the truth about her past, she might just find the
EXCERPT
One
Hendrix Durrant eyed his longtime neighbor, speaking with a hard-edged frustration he didn’t bother to
conceal. “You’re hiring Ellen? Really, Jay? You’ve been talking to me about getting this well dug for the past eight months. You’ve had me meet you out here two or three times for details on where to drill, how deep to go, what size pump you’ll need to get enough water, what we’ll do if we encounter sand, and on and on. And now you’re going with my competitor?”
Jay Haslem, a forty-something mechanic who was finally getting the chance to build a nicer home outside the small town of Coyote Canyon, Montana, where Hendrix had lived since he was eleven and Jay had lived his whole life, shoved his hands in the pockets of his grease-stained overalls and stared down at the dirt. “Well, she’s not really your competitor, is she?”
Hendrix rested his hands on his hips. “She does the same thing I do, but her business is completely separate from mine. Wouldn’t you call that competition?”
“Yeah, but…she’s Stuart’s daughter. And he’s married to your aunt Lynn. I know you’re not related, but
you’re sort of…connected, right?” He offered Hendrix a weak grin, which Hendrix immediately wiped from his face with a heated retort.
“Not only are we not related, I barely know her and hate that she moved to town two and a half years ago, because ever since then, she’s made a concerted effort to become a major pain in my ass.”
“It’s just that…her dad’s married to your aunt,” Jay said again.
Lynn had raised Hendrix from the first year she married Stuart, after his mother died of breast cancer.
Everyone knew he’d been taken in out of the goodness of her heart, that he would’ve gone into the foster care system otherwise. It wasn’t as if he had a father, like most other kids. His mother, Angie, who’d lived and worked as a venture capital analyst in San Francisco, where attitudes were more liberal in general, had been so determined to have a child on her own terms she’d used a sperm bank, never imagining what might happen to him if she wasn’t around. That meant, once she was gone, he’d been lucky to have extended family who would give him a home. “I don’t care. That doesn’t change anything.”
Jay winced as he pulled on his beard. “My wife likes her, Hendrix. Thea’s the one who promised her the
job. Not me. Ellen’s a tough little thing, a go-getter. We… I don’t know, we admire that kind of gumption, I guess. After all, there aren’t many women in your field.”
Jay’s, either. Not too many female mechanics around… But Hendrix was too focused on other things to
point that out. “You admire her gumption,” he echoed, chuckling humorlessly. “You’re giving her the job
because she’s—” he used air quotes “—a tough little thing.”
Once again, Jay shifted uncomfortably. “That and…she’s saving us a few bucks, of course.”
“Of course,” Hendrix echoed flatly. Ellen had been undercutting him and Stuart since she moved to town.
“How much is a few bucks?”
“She said—” He stopped and cleared his throat before finishing in a mumble, “She said she’d do it for a
thousand less than whatever you bid.”
“Excuse me?” Hendrix had heard him fine, but he wanted to make his neighbor state, clearly, the reason
he’d chosen Ellen. This wasn’t about supporting a female-owned company in a largely male-dominated field, as Jay had tried to claim a few minutes ago. This was nothing more than pure self-interest. Ellen had been working day and night since she moved to Coyote Canyon, just to best him and Stuart, her father. Hendrix knew that was true because, in some cases, she was—had to be—drilling wells and replacing and repairing pumps for next to no profit, other than the pleasure of taking jobs that would otherwise have gone to them.
“She said she didn’t have the time to come out and bid, but she’d do it for a thousand less than what you
said you’d do it for,” Jay repeated. “All we had to do was give her the paperwork you left with us.”
“You handed over my bid? Now she can order the supplies and get you on her schedule without spending any of the time I’ve invested in assessing your needs.”
Jay hung his head. “I’m sorry. You know I don’t have a lot of money. Thea and I have held on to this
property for several years, hoping to save enough to start improving it, or…or I would’ve gone with you no matter what.”
Drawing a deep breath, which he immediately blew out, Hendrix stared over Jay’s shoulder at the rugged
Montana terrain that constituted his neighbor’s five-acre dream parcel. Ever since Ellen Truesdale came to town, he’d made a point of avoiding her. If he ran into her by accident—in a population of only three thousand it was impossible not to encounter each other every once in a while—he nodded politely, so she wouldn’t know how much it bothered him to have her around. But she never responded. She just gave him that unflinching, steely-eyed gaze of hers that let him know she was gunning for him.
Despite that, he’d remained determined not to let her get to him. But as time wore on, and she stole more business from him and Stuart, she was harder and harder to ignore.
Why couldn’t she have sold the place her grandparents had given her here in town and remained in
Anaconda, where she’d been born and raised? Anaconda was twice the size of Coyote Canyon; there had to be more people in that part of the state who were looking to drill a water well. Actually, he knew that to be true because he and Stuart occasionally drilled a well or helped with a pump out that way—Fetterman Well Services ranged over the whole state and even went into Utah and Nevada. And if Ellen had stayed in Anaconda, which was almost two hours from Coyote Canyon, their paths would most likely never have crossed.
But Hendrix knew her decision had very little to do with where she could make the most money—or even where she might be happiest. She had a vendetta against her father, who’d left her mother when Ellen was only ten to marry Hendrix’s aunt, and she was determined to make him pay for walking out on them. Hendrix and his cousin, Leo, whom he considered as close as a brother, were just the visible representation of all she resented.
“No problem,” he told his neighbor as he started back to his truck. “Here’s hoping she does a decent job for you.”
“Are you saying she might not?” Jay called after him, sounding alarmed.
Hendrix didn’t acknowledge the question, let alone answer it. Undermining Jay’s trust in Ellen was a cheap shot—beneath him, really. Ellen knew what she was doing. In many ways, she ran her business better than Stuart ran the one Hendrix had helped him build since he was brought from San Francisco. She didn’t have the resources or the experience they did, but she was a quick study. From what he’d heard, she was also detail-oriented—stayed right on top of everything—and since Fetterman had two crews consisting of three employees each, and covered a much bigger area, he had no doubt she was operating with far less overhead, so she could be nimble.
Although Stuart insisted they didn’t have anything to worry about when it came to Ellen—that she’d give
up trying to get back at him and eventually move on—Hendrix was beginning to realize that wasn’t true. Stuart was just avoiding the problem because he felt guilty about the past. And the more he avoided it, the worse it got.
When Ellen Truesdale heard a vehicle pull up, she assumed it was Ben Anderson, her only employee. She’d finally sent him out to grab some lunch. Since breakfast early this morning, they’d been too busy to eat, and she was starving. He had to be, too; it was almost three. At twenty-one, he seemed to consume twice his body weight in food each day. But when she finished welding the steel casing they were putting down the well and flipped up her helmet, she saw that it wasn’t Ben. Hendrix Durrant had just parked next to her older and much less expensive pickup.
Since Hendrix hadn’t actually spoken to her since she came to town, she was more than a little surprised
he’d driven out to her jobsite. That meant he was here with a very specific intention.
Setting her torch aside, she removed her helmet entirely and shoved up the long sleeves of her shirt. She had no idea what he wanted, but whatever it was…she couldn’t imagine she was going to like it.
Instead of approaching her right away, he slipped his hands into the pockets of his well-worn jeans and
studied her GEFCO rotary drilling rig. Maybe he’d assumed she couldn’t afford a top-head drive, which
enabled her to advance the casing that blocked off the sand and gravel as she drilled, and was shocked to see it.
She could understand why that might be true. A rig like hers cost almost a million dollars, and she’d never had the luxury of being able to ride on her father’s coattails. If she hadn’t been able to take out a loan against the house and property her paternal grandparents had passed on to her, she wouldn’t have had the down payment necessary to purchase it. And if she’d had to settle for an older rig, it would’ve made her job much more difficult.
As it was, her payments were almost ten thousand a month, and that didn’t include the water truck she’d also had to buy. Fortunately, it wasn’t nearly as expensive as the rig. She’d managed to find a used one in Moab, Utah, for only fifty thousand. But it all added up. She had a lot on the line, which was why she worked so damn hard.
“Is there something I can do for you?” she asked, tensing in spite of all the self-talk that insisted there was no reason to be nervous. She didn’t care if she had a confrontation with her father and those connected to him. She’d been spoiling for a fight with them almost as far back as she could remember. Except for Leo, of course. Leo was harmless. Everyone knew that.
Hendrix turned to face her. She hadn’t moved toward him, hadn’t closed one inch of the gap between them. If he wanted to speak to her, he was going to have to cross that distance himself—which he did, reluctantly from what she could tell.
“You’ve been in town for two and a half years now,” he said.
She wiped the sweat from her face before giving him a smirk. “I didn’t realize you’d been counting.”
His eyebrows slid up. “I’ve only been counting because you’ve been doing everything you possibly can to
make me notice you—and now I have.”
She barked a laugh. “Am I supposed to be excited about that?” She had to admit most women would be.
With sandy-blond hair, smooth golden skin and wide, sky blue eyes, he reminded her of Brad Pitt in
Troy—mostly because of the structure of his face but also his build. She couldn’t claim he was hard to look at.
“I was hoping to convince you to come over and talk to your father,” he said. “Scream and yell, say
whatever you want, but quit trying to punish him by ruining our business.”
She removed her leather gloves and slapped them against her thigh, which made him take a step back to
avoid breathing in the resulting cloud of dust. “I have nothing to say to my father.”
“Obviously you do, or you wouldn’t be living here.”
“In case you’re not aware of it, my grandparents gave me their house, and it happens to be here. I guess you didn’t quite manage to replace me in their affections.”
“I didn’t try to replace you at all. I’m sorry if you feel I did. But just so you know, your grandpa and grandma Fetterman have been good to me, too.”
She shrugged off his words. “Only because they’re nice to everyone.”
“Maybe so, but just because you got their house doesn’t mean you have to live in it. You could sell if you
wanted to…”
“That’s the thing.” It took effort, but she brightened her smile for his benefit. “I like it here.”
“Come on,” he said. “Be honest. You’re only staying because you think it bugs your father.”
“That’s not all,” she said with a taunting grin. “I’m staying because it bugs you, too.”
“And that makes you happy?”
“Happier,” she clarified.
He shook his head. “There’s something wrong with you. What’re you trying to do? Prove you can build the same business we’ve built on your own?”
“And do it even better,” she said with apparent satisfaction. That had been her goal for a long time, ever
since she’d finished college at Montana State with a degree in business and returned to Anaconda to help her mother make ends meet. After seeing her father become successful drilling water wells, she’d decided to do the same thing. She knew she didn’t want to get stuck waiting tables forever, and Anaconda didn’t offer a great deal of opportunity.
But it hadn’t been easy to get started. If she hadn’t managed to convince Ross Moore, a successful driller in Anaconda, to hire her, she wouldn’t have had the chance. But she’d needed only two years of experience, drilling fifteen wells under a licensed contractor, in order to get her own license. So Ross had eventually agreed—just to be a nice guy, she thought—and wound up being so happy with her work he’d kept her as his business expanded until her grandparents gave her their house in Coyote Canyon two and a half years ago, and she decided to go out on her own.
Hendrix’s eyes narrowed. “I’ve been pleasant so far, haven’t lifted a finger to stop you. I don’t want to—”
he spread out his hands “—do anything that would harm you, even financially.”
“If there was anything you could do to me financially, you would’ve done it already,” she pointed out,
which only seemed to enrage him further.
“Our company’s bigger than yours,” he said with a hard set to his jaw.
Our company. She was Stuart’s daughter. Hendrix was only his second wife’s nephew. He stood to take
over the business when Stuart died, since Leo wasn’t capable, but he wasn’t even considered a true partner at this point. As she understood it, he was only on salary. And yet, when Hendrix lost his mother to breast cancer, her father had not only allowed Lynn to take him into their home, he’d chosen Hendrix over her in every regard. No doubt Stuart assumed Hendrix was stronger and more capable than she was, but she was bound and determined to prove he’d significantly underestimated her abilities. “That’s obvious.” She gave him the once-over. “But bigger isn’t always better.”
He stepped closer, too close for comfort, which was probably his intent, and glared down his nose at her.
“It is in this case. Don’t make me put you out of business.”
He turned on his heel to stalk back to his truck, but she called after him. “You couldn’t put me out of
business if you tried!”
He stopped before opening his door. “We have deeper pockets than you do, Ellen. We can play the price game, too. What if I were to go around to all your jobs and offer to drill cheaper? You’re saying I couldn’t steal your next six months of work from you?”
“You’ll be taking a heavy loss if you do!”
He studied her for several seconds. “I’m beginning to think it would be worth it.”
The size of her monthly bills—the payment she had to make on her rig alone—sent a tremor of foreboding through her. She couldn’t withstand a full-on battle with her father and Hendrix. Not one that went on for very long, at least. She needed to back off. But she couldn’t. “You don’t scare me!” she yelled. “I’ll take you on. I’ll take on both you sons of bitches!”
His tires spun dirt and gravel as he backed up and nearly hit Ben, who was just coming back in his Jeep.
Ben slammed on his brakes in the nick of time and waited for Hendrix to swerve around him. Then he got out, wide-eyed and slack-jawed, and walked over to where Ellen stood at the rig. “That was Hendrix Durrant, wasn’t it?” he said. “I told you he wouldn’t like what we’ve been doing. He confronted you about it, didn’t he? What’d he say?”
“Nothing,” she retorted. She couldn’t bring herself to admit that the resentment driving her might have
caused her to sign the death warrant on her fledgling business—the only thing that was currently keeping a roof over both their heads.
Damn her! What’s wrong with her? Hendrix fumed as he drove, probably a little too recklessly, to Lynn and Stuart’s. At thirty-one, he no longer lived with them, but his house wasn’t far away, and he was at their place a lot to see his cousin, Leo, who had Down Syndrome. The office for the drilling business was in one section of the barn, too, and most of their drilling equipment was parked on the property.
Leo was in the wide front yard wearing a snowsuit—even though it was the end of March and edging
toward spring and there were only little patches of white in the shadows—playing with his dog, Zeus. He lit up like a Christmas tree the second he saw Hendrix turn in, and came running to the truck. “Hi, Hendrix!” he said, waving enthusiastically as Hendrix got out. “I been waitin’ for ya. I knew you’d
come!”
Because Hendrix came almost every day. He typically brought Leo a donut or other treat, and he would’ve again today, except Lynn had told him he had to stop. Leo was gaining too much weight. It was hard for Hendrix to disappoint him, but he had no other choice. “I know you’re probably hoping I’ve got a donut for you, bud, but I couldn’t get over there in time to buy one. I’m sorry.”
Leo’s shoulders slumped, and the corners of his mouth turned down, which made Hendrix feel terrible. But in typical Leo style, he perked up right away. “That’s okay, Hendrix,” he said as they started to walk, with Zeus, toward the office. “You’ll bring me one tomorrow, right? I like the chocolate with sprinkles. It’s my favorite. I bet that’s the one you’ll buy me. You’ll bring me the chocolate one tomorrow, won’t you, Hendrix?”
Hendrix eyed his thickening middle and offered to take him on a walk instead, but Leo was having none of it.
“After I eat my donut?” he asked.
“Yeah, after you eat your donut,” Hendrix said, finally relenting. He couldn’t refuse, despite Leo’s weight.
He’d just have to take Leo somewhere else to eat it so Lynn wouldn’t catch them. He hated to contribute to the problem when she’d asked him not to, but he couldn’t deny his cousin the few simple pleasures he enjoyed so much. Maybe the walk after would zero it out.
“Thank you, Hendrix. I can’t wait!” He rubbed his hands in anticipation as they reached the office. “What
are you doing today?” he asked before Hendrix could open the door. “Are you drilling another well? Can I get my steel-toed boots and my hard hat and go with you?”
It was Friday, Hendrix’s day for picking up parts, fixing broken equipment, giving estimates and helping
catch up on any paperwork Lynn was holding back because of questions she had. She helped in the office
while they did the drilling, but she must be in the house or getting her hair done or something else today, because Hendrix didn’t see her when he swung open the door. “For the next little while, I’m mostly hanging out here with Stuart, okay, bud?” he said. “But if I have to run an errand or two, you can come along.”
Leo smiled widely—something he did almost all the time. “Maybe we could buy a candy bar while we’re
out!”
“No treats, Leo,” he said. “They aren’t good for you, remember?”
Leo’s shoulders rounded again, until he thought of the donut. “But you’ll bring me a donut tomorrow?”
Hendrix barely refrained from groaning. He’d never known anyone with such a sweet tooth. Leo was at him for candy, soda and other junk food all the time. “Yes,” Hendrix told him. “I said I would.”
“I love you, Hendrix,” he said. “You’re the best!”
It was hard to remain angry about anything in the face of his childlike exuberance. “I love you, too,” Hendrix said with a chuckle.
But when he walked into the office and Stuart glanced up, he remembered why he’d come skidding into the driveway of their house in the first place.
“You need to do something about Ellen,” he said bluntly.
“Ellen Truesdale?” Leo piped up before Stuart, who was sitting at his desk, could respond.
Hendrix wasn’t surprised Leo knew who Ellen was. With her bleached blond hair, cut in a short, jagged
style, nose ring and ear piercings, together with the tattoo sleeve that covered one arm, she stood out in the ultraconservative community in which he’d been raised. Not only had she been a hot topic around town, she’d come up in plenty of conversations between Stuart and Lynn. Hendrix was surprised, however, that Leo remembered her last name. It wasn’t as if they knew any other Truesdales. As soon as she’d turned eighteen, Ellen had legally changed her last name to her mother’s maiden name—another of her many attempts to get back at Stuart. Leo’s father had been an alcoholic who’d raised and
sold hunting dogs—before he shot himself when Lynn left him. Stuart adopted Leo when he and Lynn married three years later, so Leo went by Fetterman. And since Hendrix’s father was found in a tube of sperm cells in a lab somewhere, he’d retained his mother’s last name and went by Durrant.
“Yes, Ellen Truesdale,” Hendrix told him.
Stuart sighed as he rocked back in his chair. “What’s she done this time?”
“Took the Haslem job from us.”
His father looked startled. “I thought we had that one in the bag. Isn’t Jay your neighbor?”
About four years ago, Hendrix had bought a small, two-bedroom, two-bath, log-cabin-style home on a couple of acres about five minutes away. Jay lived in the mobile home next door—until he could move to his other property, anyway. “Yeah, well, I guess loyalty doesn’t count for much when money’s involved.”
“She undercut us again?”
“Word’s getting around that she’ll beat any price we give. At least, that’s what I’m guessing. All Jay told
me was that he was hiring her because it would save him some money.”
The beard growth on Stuart’s chin rasped as he rubbed it. “Drillin’s hard work. I can’t believe she’d do it
that cheaply—and that she’s actually doing a decent job. She’s only about five foot four, maybe a hundred pounds soaking wet.”
“You know she has Ben Anderson to help her, right? She hired him right out of high school when she first
got here.”
“I know she’s got Ben, but it has to be difficult for her even with a hired hand.”
Hearing the grudging admiration in his voice made Hendrix’s hackles rise again. “She’s trying to damage
our business. You realize that.”
“She’s not going to damage it for long,” Stuart said dismissively. “I’ve been drillin’ wells and servicing
pumps for forty years. We’ll reach a new equilibrium sooner or later.”
“I’m not so sure,” Hendrix argued. “Can’t you meet with her? Have a discussion? Folks talk, especially in a small town like this. If word has it that she’s the cheapest around, and she’s a good driller…” He shook his head. “It’s been two and a half years since she moved here. She’s only getting a firmer foothold as the days go by.”
“What do you want me to say to her?” his uncle asked. “She’s not doing anything wrong.”
“Purposely targeting our business isn’t doing anything wrong?”
“It’s a free market,” he said with a shrug. “There’s nothin’ to say another driller can’t move in here and
compete with us. Whether it’s her or someone else…”
“I’ll talk to Ellen!” Leo volunteered. “She’s so pretty. And such a little thing. I bet I could pick her up.”
“Don’t ever try that,” Hendrix told him. “I don’t think she’d like it.”
“Oh, I’d never hurt her,” Leo hurried to reassure him.
Hendrix knew he’d never hurt her intentionally. Leo would never hurt anyone intentionally. But he was a
big man, and he didn’t know his own strength. Sometimes he reminded Hendrix of Lennie in Of Mice and
Men, not least because he himself identified with George Milton in the role of Leo’s protector. During his
teens, he’d been in more fights than he could remember trying to defend Leo from the bullies who’d tease and make fun of him. “I know you wouldn’t, bud. You just have to remember not to touch her, okay? Ever.”
“Okay,” Leo said dutifully.
“So will you talk to her?” Hendrix asked, turning back to Stuart.
Stuart blanched. “I don’t know what to say to her,” he admitted. “I mean…what can I say? I didn’t do right by her, and there’s no changing that now.”
“Then apologize,” Hendrix said, “before she makes me lose my mind.”
Stuart stared at the paperwork on his desk for several seconds before finally—and grudgingly—relenting.
“If I get the opportunity, I’ll see what I can do.”
“Let me give you the opportunity,” he said. “She’s drilling the Slemboskis a well right now. Should be there another day, at least. Maybe longer.”
His uncle’s jaw had dropped as soon as he heard the name. “The Slemboskis went with her, too? Slim
Slemboski’s on my bowling team!”
Hendrix threw up his hands. “See what I mean?”
Stuart winced as he went back to rubbing his jaw. “O-kay,” he said on a downbeat, as if agreeing to talk to Ellen was tantamount to walking the plank. “I’ll go over there tomorrow, see what I can do.”

My headcanons for the personality of FT characters cus they are very basic, starting with team Natsu:
Natsu:
It's already canon but, he takes fighting me advantage of everyone thinking he is a dumbass, so I like to think he uses it for everything
He is kinda shy when it comes to talk of sex and romance, maybe Igneel traumatized him idk, so he also plays dumb to avoid questioning and chat about it
Also people say because of his behaviors he looks more childlike, but it backfires when they see him getting serious and is not cute as an angry kid
Discretely start to bury himself inside his scarf when feels shy or uncomfortable
He absolutely hates the fact that the girls of the team think he is cute when shy
He is the type of person who acts drunk without even being that drunk
Like he's not a lightweight, but people assume he is drunk when he is only typsy
He likes his hair a lot, and is the only thing he puts a personal care
He hates being touched unannounced
Has a weird memory so he may forget his own birthday, but remember the name of the flower you said you like in that trip five years ago
He haves ADHD and I take no criticism in it
Has dyslexia this is why he struggles to read and write
Cus of his good hearing he gets a lot of gossip on the guild, half of it he doesn't pay attention the other half he ignores for his own good
And half of what he ignores he forgets until the next day the other half he zips inside of his brain forever, he knows some spicy shit
He likes to hear people tell stories so sometimes when Lucy just want to read instead of doing anything "fun" he asks to her to read for him
It's actually a good coach, so kids in fairy tail love to practice fisical fighting with him
Lucy:
Actually knows very well about trade and bargain, so she always get discounts for the team on hotels and restaurants, call it a family trait or evolution for spending too much with Natsu around
She is broke cus gets impulsive and buys too much clothing and accessories
Anytime the boys let she likes to dress them in a more stylish way
She knows how to flirt and it completely infuriates her when it doesn't work as she wants
As a rich girl she learn a lot of "ladylike" things such as table etiquette, embroidery and flower language
She also knows how to speak two other languages
She is a fast learner so domestic tasks where easy to pic after leaving the kozern
The only thing she suffer to learn is to bake, Mira can't help anymore
She bruises like a peach and even if she doesn't have any big scar, she have tons of small ones, mainly on her legs
People think she may be obsessed with not marking her skin, but actually don't, she cherishes her battle scars
She always knows what to gift someone, doesn't matter if it's expensive or handmade she gives the best gifs in the guild
Is a people pleaser, hard
Is the team therapist
Gives good advice but never listen to herself
She can take compliments on her appearance very well, but talk about her talents and the girl gets all flushed
Erza:
Can't cook to save her life
Aside of clothes, weapons and armors she also likes to collect plants
Doesn't means she is good at it
Even if she gets flustered when people mention sex, she haves a very dirty mind and will be the first to think dirty 😏
Is very well organized and enjoy cleaning
Secretly enjoy Natsu and Gray constant bickering, if they are fighting it means they are okay
Is overprotective (mainly to kids in the guild) to the point people need to ask her to relax
And when someone spend time to take care of her she gets emotional
She wish she was better with children but always end up scaring them
It makes her a little scared of being a mom
Once in a mission a bunch of kids run away from her after slaying a monster in a harsh way, the one child who didn't run said they wanna be like her when they grow up
Erza cried about it for an hour
Her sense of style is either terrible or spot on, depends on her mood
She loves when people play with her hair, she often sleep during it
Gray:
Tries to look as cool and stoic as Laxus, but is a dumbass like Natsu
The only thing he is better is at holding his tongue
He had a crush in half of the girls in the guild
He never tried to date cus thinks he would be a terrible boyfriend
Is shy for romance, but will deny it
He is like the protective brother of the girls so he will be jealous of then, especially Erza, Cana, Lucy and Wendy
He likes to hear gossip, even if he don't show or tell anyone
Cana is the one who tells more for him, it's like a bonding time
Also when he knew about the Gildarts thing he felt betrayed for not knowing it before, since they are best friends
Then he blame himself for not being a better friend for her want to tell, and she said: shut the drama! Sit, I have some spicy shit to tell ya
Can't take spicy food
He is very observant and often knows someone is sad just by seeing then
Was the first to understand that Natsu has a crush on Lucy and tease him for it
He have bad self-steam and compares himself too much
Is a heavy drinker but when he gets drunk he became naked honest and may cry a little
He used to go party a lot with Loke and it always end up with him saying: I'm not saving your womanizer ass again!!
Wendy:
As Natsu acts overly dumb she will grow to act overly inocent
But damn, she had read some of Erza steam books
Lucy caught her and promise to never tell anyone
Can't keep her room clean for more than half an hour
As everyone around her is loud she tends to talk more softly
But when she is too much exited she will be just as loud as everyone else
Can tell you are not okay by just hearing your voice
A great cook, and always offer herself to do the meals
It's also a part of the fact she loves take cares of others
She loves when Lucy and Erza let her braid their hair
Sometimes when Natsu's hair is longer than normal he lets her do some hairstyles too
Is very insecure of her abilities and appearance and is always comparing herself to others
Erza and Lucy noticed it and started to do girls nights with her to talk and relax
Doesn't know how to deal with compliments
She's a silent girl but very clumsy so when trying to sneak into someone she end up telling her position
For now I think is it.
I do not have many headcanons for the exceeds even though I love Happy with my heart ( ˘ ³˘)♥
