#I don't really ship much of anyone in Kingdom Hearts

honestly with watching the Kingdom Hearts III cut scenes all at once I have been doing some skipping around bc ten hours is a LOT

and I am v consistently skipping the Maleficent scenes. girl, you haven't been relevant since the first game, just give up.

Okay, so my experience with Stranger Things is a weird one.

I didn't care when it first came out, started to watch it out of "might as well" in 2020, wasn't interested in it enough to make it past S2, forgot about it outside of going "oh, hey, cool, there's a lesbian in it now, I guess," in S3, got really annoyed when "Running Up That Hill" got popular from it because it was a song I listened to on fucking loop after one of my best friends died in high school and I fully expected its appearance in the show to ignore the whole survivor's guilt theme of the song (and was very happy to learn later that it did the exact opposite of ignoring the lyrics), saw people drawing Eddie, suddenly got a lot more interested, watched just the fourth season like a fucking psychopath because I was seriously only there for Eddie, then got interested enough to start the show over properly, having mostly forgotten what I did watch of the show before.

And let me tell you something from the perspective of someone who started with the complete fourth season, who wasn't there from the start, who wasn't tainted by ship goggles or this internal battle of hope and despair, who wasn't theorizing about what the painting could be or expecting Mike and Will to kiss when Volume 2 happened or rooting for Mike and Eleven's relationship to go down in flames or whatever the fuck. Just someone who went blind into Season 4.

It's really fucking obvious that Will and Mike are gonna be endgame.

Like holy fuck. It's so fucking blatant I don't even know why people are nervous.

No sane fucking person would shoot this scene this way if they wanted the audience to care about El and Mike as a couple. Despite being all blurry in the background, Will's reaction to what's happening here is smackdab in the fucking middle, clearly showing that the important part is what's going through his head here. What he's feeling. It's like the opposite of that scene from Kingdom Hearts II where Sora and Riku reunite and Kairi just fucking vanishes into the aether while it's happening because, despite the fact that she was standing between them when the scene began, she doesn't matter to the scene, so she's just kind of gone when the camera angle changes. Will could have been behind one of their heads, or so far in the distance he blends in with the background, but he's not. He's so obvious that despite being massively blurred out, he's still the first goddamn thing you look at. What, you think that's an accident? You think he's in the middle of this dramatic fucking scene because of a mistake? He basically has a big flashing neon arrow pointing at him with "THIS IS THE POINT" being screamed through a megaphone.

And then this?

They're paired up like they're taking fucking prom pictures. Each one of these pairs is so fucking close to one another and so fucking far from everyone else. It's not, "Oh, they're standing vaguely near each other in a group shot," it's fucking Noah's Ark out here. Again, there's no way to take this as an accident. It's not just a framing issue. If they wanted to make the shot look balanced while still not hiding anyone else behind El, they would have scattered people around much more naturally. Even if they wanted to keep Nancy with Jonathan and Hopper with Joyce, there's so much room on that hill for three people to stand on El's left and three on her right. But they didn't do that. They put Mike and Will together on purpose in the most obvious way possible.

Like I get that coming up with crackpot theories is fun in and of itself and I'm not blaming anyone for having fun. I totally get the appeal of arguing a point and reaching for every stupid little thing to pull into it because it's like a game, okay? I've done that. But if you're trying to actually convince someone (whether it's someone who wants to believe or someone who's pissed at the very idea that Mike and Will could be in love), stay away from blue and yellow lights, stay away from costume design, stay away from the existence of closets in backgrounds. And don't worry about whether Mike's gay or bi when he's in love with Will either way. I'll give you a little tip about persuasion: You're only as strong as your weakest argument. Even if you've got strong stuff in there, too, the person you're trying to convince is going to dismiss anything you say as complete insanity the second you start going on an entire tangent about the shape of a character's fucking pocket.

Sometimes, clothes are just clothes. Sometimes, there's a closet in the background because it helps establish that a character is in a bedroom. Sometimes, blue and yellow are just a couple of colors that look nice together. And sure, it might be set designers and costume designers and cinematographers smirking and winking at the audience from behind the camera. But if the show was just those things, instead of those things in the context of everything else, they wouldn't be saying anything of note.

But this?

This tells a story all on its own. Someone with no context can look at this and automatically assume that each paired person is standing with someone they care about deeply, seeking comfort as they watch some sort of disaster unfold. And yeah, romantic couples usually come in twos, and we live in an amatonormative society, so that's going to be the first association anyone makes seeing a bunch of people paired off.

It's the same reason you look at this

And go, "Oh..."

"Those two are probably a couple."

And I genuinely don't understand how people could have watched S4 Vol. 2 and gotten scared. Because as someone who went in with no investment whatsoever, I just looked at these two--

--and went, "Oh, those two are a couple. Good for them." And I moved on. Shut up about the trees for five seconds and just see the forest for what it is.

Oh, and if you're still nervous? Little thing from a storyteller here: You don't leave a hanging thread like "Will confessed his romantic feelings for Mike by projecting them onto El, but Mike either didn't understand or at least didn't say he understood," without coming back to that later. That's Chekov's gun hanging on the wall, babes. It's gonna fire at some point. If Mike was going to reject Will's feelings, if they weren't relevant, they would have had that discussion in Argyle's van. There'd be no reason to leave you in suspense.

Phantom's "Captain Opera-Beard and the Bumbling Brigands of Toilet Water Bay"

I've thought about this for a couple of weeks now and it's time to share some things I thought of! There's no real plot and I don't know if I will ever evolve it further than this, but I hope you enjoy it! (if you don't, it's Phantom's fault he wrote it lol)

Opera Beard is said to have lost his heart after some kind of love story and that's why he's seemingly invincible. Voices say to defeat him, you have to put his heart back, so he can become vulnerable again. However, he holds a secret...

Opera Beard isn't properly "dead". He was cursed by one of his past lovers to be a ghost before he lost the heart.

The Pirates under Opera Beard's command aren't cursed. They were some of his old theater crew that stuck with him. Hovever, even if they were around since the beginning of their piracy era and witnessed him getting cursed to his spectral form, even they don't know what happened to the Captain's heart.

Speaking of the heart, it's not really clear what happened to it. Some stories say he lost it because one of his lovers was a witch and she stole it, some others say he purposefully threw it away because of a terrible breakup and some even say it whithered away for the overuse. Without his heart the Captain is said to be invulnerable, so it needs to be put back to defeat him.

One of the Captain's goals is to find a soulmate. He spent his life witnessing all of his lovers drift away from him, be it his fault or the lovers'. He always justifies himself saying he has too much love to give and all of his past flings were too overwhelmed by his affection.

Opera Beard can take a smaller form and manfest legs to disguise himself as a living being, but only during the day. He's still very recognizable though, so to prove he's not the cursed pirate, he can mimic a heartbeat. It's in this form that he will go around on land in search of his soulmate.

In his usual specral form he's interestingly very wary of personal space, however in his "living" disguise he's pretty tactile and physically affectionate. He justifies it as not liking his spectral form and not wanting anyone feel how cold he is.

The Pirates's way to attack other ships is tostalk them in rocky or foggy places, often in the night when the other ship is busy manouvering or finding their way. You know they're right behind you when your sailors stop singing but the song doesn't.

The Pirates are attracted to music even when they're not stalking anyone. It's one of the Captain's only weaknesses.

The Pirates kidnapped Princess Peach of the near Kingdom once. The Captain thought the lady whose pure heart was known around the world, would be the perfect soulmate. What he didn't think was that she had a whole army ready to fight him including a seemingly worthless sailor who was able to kick his ass. Opera Beard wrote a loooong song about this sailor drowining as "revenge".

And lastly the Captain's secret: his heart was never lost. He made up the whole thing as to give himself more of a "cursed pirate" look and to deter people to try and defeat him just after he was cursed with his specral form. His insistence on personal space is an excuse to not let anyone hear his heartbeat while he's a ghost and his "fake heartbeat" of his living disguise it's his actual heartbeat.

No. I always thought he had a cool design and a badass voice.

Of course! Sephiroth is a fascinating character regardless. His backstory is very unique and I don't think that would change.

I mostly just call him Seph. Sometimes Kittyroth. Sometimes "Mr. Compassion" whenever I'm being sarcastic about him. And sometimes just SMUGFUCK because that's what he is.

Nah. Like I said, he's a fascinating character regardless.

I feel like there are certain aspects of his character that you NEED to keep in--his catlike pupils, silver hair, etc. They are plot-related indicators of his heritage and genetics. Thirstposts aside, they are reminder that he is a lab-grown monster with alien blood running through his veins.

9. Does this character remind you of anyone you know? Does that affect how you see them?

Not really. Seph is pretty unique. And honestly I'd rather not know someone like him irl lolol

Physically? Hell no. Emotionally? Sometimes. But that's on rare occasions where we can actually tell what he's thinking and feeling.

AU Redemption arc trilogy in which Zack and Aerith save Sephiroth from himself and he dismantles Shinra to become the planet's hero.

Oh not at all. I have said many many times and will keep saying that Sephiroth does not deserve a happy ending after everything he's done. He deserves to be destroyed for good. He's NOT a good guy, not any more at least. He's caused so much damage in so many horrible ways. There's no going back from that. I love the guy and I feel for him. But that's still no excuse for what he did.

GOLDEN HORIZONS AND BOLD TIDES

Hey guys! You remember my update about my Goldenheart Little mermaid fic that's been discontinued because I don't like the summary I made and that I'm gonna rewrite it in a different plot? Well I am while collabing with @long-distance-muse we've come up with some HC/Summary and stuff before the actuall fic cause why not (＾＾)人(＾＾)

HERE ARE SOME HEADCANONS/SUMMARY

• Valerin Adopted Bal when he was 2 years old, since his parents were killed that time and the incident gave him a scar on his face which makes him a prince of the merfolk kingdom

• Bal is a curious mer since forever, quite and shy yet he had an enchanting voice that would make anyone fall for him.

• Valerin would often tell stories of the world above from her point of view cause she knew how curious Bal is, and he loves hearing them.

• Merfolks below 16 are allowed to go above the surface if their acompanied by anyone above 16 which is the age of their adulthood.

• A merfolks life span is up to 300 years but when a human and a mers lips joined together for the first time, a mers lifespan would be cut into 200 and the human's lifespan would be the same.

• Merfolks would began to age really slowly when they reach 20 and so would a human if the 2 would kiss.

• When merfolks die their body dissolves into seafoam after their last breath and left what they last wore during their deaths.

• Bal own a garden where his most colorful flowers are gathered together of a circle like the sun.

• When Bal was 13 the noticed the guards brought home a statue of a young man around his age or maybe a year older and it was a head till it's chest.

• Bal somehow was mesmerized by it's young and handsome face, so he ask Valerin to keep the staue as a display for his garden and placed it in the center of the flowerbed and stare at it all day.

• Bal was also known for staring above, when the seas were calm, he would perch himself on a rock and stare upward for hours, watching the dim and distant star, lost in his own thoughts.

• On his 16th birthday the first thing he saw were the fireworks blasting off with different bright colors and stars in the sky so he sat on the nearest rock to gaze at it all night till the morning.

• A while after that night he found Nimona when she was in their shark form when he was collecting human items and together they would explore shipwrecks for human items.

• Nimona could have been adopted but prefer to be his Ward and Bal just accepts it.

• Nimona's still a shapeshifter and mistreated but the humans so she fled to the sea and decided to have her signature form as a mershark.

• At the age of 20, when Bal and Nimona went to the surface he spotted a ship with so many lights and music playing with the fireworks launching at the sky.

• Bal and Nimona reached the lifeboats to get a closer look, and from Bal's pov, he was amazed from the sight, so much joy, laughter, lanters glowing bright and music playing beautifuly with crafted instruments, and people were celebrating.

• But what caught his attention was him, Ambrosius, a Noble from a long bloodline of Knights, the center of attention and the man from his statue that must have grown.

• His heart was fluttered for he could not take his eyes of Ambrosius not even Nimona's voice can stop him.

• Soon a great big storm came, damaging everything from the ship, people panicked as Bal and Nimona got off the boats cause the humans are about to escape.

• Ambro wasn't able to reach the surface as he was drowning, Bal knew he was gonna die and had to save him and swim as fast as he can.

• The storm had calm while sun rose at it's peak, as Bal place Ambro laying down on the sand.

• For a moment Bal couldn't help but gaze at Ambro, his scaley hand carrassing his strong strucured face.

• He slowly placed a soft kiss in his forehead, breathing as Ambro had slowly opened his heavy eyelids halfway through but closes them again.

• Suddenly Bal heard footsteps of running and some shouting, meaning humans are coming so he heads back to the water as fast as he could and hid himself behind the rock.

• As the humans ran towards Ambro, they immediently carried his unconcoius body as Bal watches over while hiding.

• As he swam back to the sea, he couldn't stop thinking about the night he saved Ambro, how he first caught an eye on him and gaze into him.

• Every night he swims to the same shore where he dropped him off, sat on the rock on the shore, watches over Ambro sitting on the balcony as the moon shines bright, wandering on who saved him.

• He was desperate to tell Ambro that it was Bal who saved him and desperate to become human.

• He had no choice but to seek the sea witch as Nimona carefully and quietly follows him.

• Once he enters it's home, the seawitch didn't show her face but only it's eyes and tentacles.

• Bal asked and begged the witch to become human and so the witch agrees to do so.

• She warns him that if he gains true loves kiss with Ambro, before the morning after a year of being human, he'll have the ability to become human and merman anytime he wants, but if he doesn't he'll die and turns into seafoam.

• She also warns him that every step he takes would feel like he's walking on knives and broken glass.

• The seawitch reminds him that her offer isn't free since he must pay the price and that price would be 2 things he owns: his Arm and his tounge.

• So Bal accepts the offer as he lets the witch cuts his arm off and his tounge with her tentacles.

• After giving his tounge and arm to the seawitch, she immediently gathered everything to make the potion.

• Before handed the bottle to Bal once she's done, she also reminded him that he has to drink it on land before sunrise, and once he drinks it he'll feel the pain as if a swords pierce right through his body.

• Once Bal left the seawitch with the bottle he held onto, Nimona swam towards him begging him not to do this cause she doesn't want to lose him, his kissed her forehead and continues to swam up to the surface.

• Once he reaches the land, while the moon is at it's peak, he instantly drank the potion till it's empty, he groaned as if a knife plunged through him then his body collapsed as everything went to darkness.

• When Bal wakes up, the first thing he saw was Ambro looking at him, asking his name, and if he's alright, but since Bal couldn't speak, he stayed silent.

• Bal is taken in by an enchanted Ambrosius who feels a strange inclination to the mysterious stranger.

• He gets cleaned up and dressed in finery, which is when Nimona sneaks in and chews him out since Queen Valerin is worried and they’re mad that he just left them despite her asking not to leave them too (could be used to set up conflict on a sequel) but they ultimately understand how love can make people do stupid things so she lends her help as long as Bal doesn’t do anything stupid like turn into seafoam.

• In his rooms which Ambro gave Bal to rest in, he was trying to practice walking, it was hard and painful at first due to the seawitch's warning, but he learns to get ignore her and gotten used to walking more.

• Bal haves dinner with Ambs and they get to know each other better. Ambs starts theorizing that Bal might be royal because of his etiquette, wit and hopes so cause he down bad right now.

• The next day, they go on a date in the village, and they accidentally cause a scene where Bal’s feet hurt too much that he collapses and Ambs catches him. But that makes the hood he wears fall down, revealing that the noble was in town with a stranger.

• This makes it to the director, who is a guest who was staying with the insistence of Amb’s parents to help them set him up for a political marriage that would increase their political power while making Ambs happy. But the director just wanted another noble in the palm of her hands.

• For almost a year, the Director starts sabotaging their hangouts and tries to constantly embarrass Bal to the point that he is ‘commoner’, there are rare times that her plan worked but most of them didn't.

• Nimona catches on to her plan and informs Bal, who goes toe to toe with the director in the court.

• Ambs sees Bal in his element, and realizes that it was Bal who saved him from the storm, he wants to marry him whether he’s a noble or a commoner.

• Director realizes that the stranger is more of a threat than she realizes, so she switches tactics and instead of trying to chase him out, resolves to kill him.

• Nim, Bal, and Ambs notice and react differently. Nim tries to find a solution to bring Bal back to the sea where he’s safer. Bal starts second guessing because of one trap where Nimona got hurt in. and Ambrosius realizes that the person he loves is in danger and resolves to confront and stop the director before she kills him.

• Ambs confronts the director and is backed into a corner of either he marries the woman she arranges for him or his lover dies and he agrees to save Bal, and Bal overhears that Ambs agreed to marry another and is heartbroken.

• Looking for Nimona to make sure they go back safely and to turn into seafoam from despair.

• For the afternoon till sunset, he sat on a rock at the shore thinking about his death, and for the first time now as a human, tears from his eyes had shed down through his face from all the pain and suffering he's in, all of those sacrifices for nothing.

• Nimona finds Ballister in tears, learns about what happened, and shows him the dagger that she trades her hair for the seawitch, and tells him that he can return to a merman if he just draws Amb’s blood.

• Bal is conflicted but he doesn’t wanna leave Nimona alone with all the hair they have given up for (cause death is significantly harder to arrange visits for) and hides the dagger under his pillow.

• Ambs bursts in, sees Nimona and Bal, Nimona shifts and hides behind Bal and Ambs is afraid. Now Bal realizes he truly has to pick between the sea and land.

• Bal shields Nimona behind him and approaches Ambs, hugging him sadly before leading him to his bed. He beckons Nimona closer.

• Nimona explains situation, Ambs shares his side, lovers realize they can’t be together and Ambs takes the knife and lightly drags it over his heart, just enough to cause blood to spill on Bal.

• Bal faints from the pain of transforming again then lands on Amb's arms, he carries his body to the sea, where Queen Valerin waits for them after Nimona spilled the beans.

• Bal spent the next few weeks in his room in sadness thinking how he never got to say goodbye to Ambro, that 2 worlds can't be together, and most importantly that he trade his tounge, his arm for nothing, forever will he spent the rest of his 300 years of living in silence, but alteast he'll keep his memories of him.

• Valerin ensuing shovel talk and slight respect for the human who cared enough for her son to agree to a loveless marriage.

• Not only Ambro's parents find out the Director's plan but also that Bal was a merman and it was him that saved Ambro, and gave him their blessings immediently.

• Ambs sets Bal down and kisses him on the lips, magic sparkles, Bal got his voice back and finally can now be human-merman.

• Val is impressed by the power of their love and grants Ambs the power to turn into a merman, his life span would extend into 200 years with Bal and offers them to wed in the oceanic courts.

• They wed, kiss, all the wedding night stuff if you’re into that and officially adopt Nimona.

• Head back to land the next day to a fuming Director, shows off the wedding rings, Queen Val shows up in her ocean queen glory and demands the director’s arrest for threatening her heir.

synopsis; hyoga has no reason to be jealous over ryusui but he can't himself...! notes; do not ask if i'm interested because if you request hyoga, i WILL do it. i love that man so much

the sounds of conversation were dulled out by the constant movement of the water waves which were repeatedly attacking the persues.

much of the excitement and loud noises were emitted from the central area of the ship, where francois resided snd their bar. it was lively there; everyone was huddled around francois, wondering and guessing what sort of intoxicating concoction they'd come up with next. after all, everyone was desperate for a way to escape after the heinous events they'd been through.

you, however, were farther away from the action. trying your best to avoid the new drunks that were scattered across the ship. the only thing that slightly piqued your interest was the fighting practice going on between tsukasa, mozu, homura and of course, hyoga. still, their rapid moevements weren't enough to free you from your bored state so you just sat on one of the chairs, dissolving into your own thoughts.

until, a familiar blonde pilot came into your view.

'yn! i knew i'd find you here!' ryusui exclaimed with a big, bright smile. however, his happiness was cut short when he saw you, 'what's with the long face?' he suddenly asked, concerned laced in his tone.

'nothing-! what is it you wanna say?' you stammered once you realised that ryusui was indeed attempting to communicate with you.

'i asked dear francois to make you a perfect drink! it has alcohol, hope you don't mind it but also some mint and...' ryusui trailed off on explaining the ingredients and the way in which francois prepared your alcoholic beverage. eventually, he pushed the drink towards you, with his large, brown eyes indicating that he wanted you to give it a taste test.

immediately after taking your first sip, you felt enlightened, free. the alcoholic beverage was swoon swept into your body, making you intoxicated. you couldn't get enough, it was simply elegant. so after your first sip, you took another and then another...

soon, you too, were in a drunken state of mind. all thanks to ryusui, who was just happy that you were finally enjoying yourself. ryusui had also gotten himself a few drinks from francois, who joyfully made them for him and you.

unbeknowest to the pair of drunk young adults, there had been hyoga who was keeping his golden eyes fixated on the two.

it was quite odd for hyoga to ever feel such a way. normally, most people won't even bother disturbing his significant other as he'd always be there by their side and glare at anyone who dared to get a little too friendly with them.

however, right now, he was busy exchanging attacks with mozu. he'd fought him already so he saw no reason for him to do it again. but it was required by him to do so; after all, he'd finally announced that he'd be loyal to the kingdom of science and they had just started to trust him. threatening ryusui would do no good to his reputation nor would be to halt his fighting practice.

nonetheless, hyoga felt bothered. he couldn't prevent himself from gazing at the pair every now and then. this action also resulted in his fighting moves becoming rather sloppy. but could he prevent himself? absolutely not. who wouldn't be bothered when a far more attractive man is basically wrapped around his significant other.

hyoga wasn't the type to consider himself to be jealous. he had no reason to be. but with the way ryusui had his arms wrapped around them and the way they both were laughing and giggling with each other made his heart drop--whether it was in jealousy or resentment, hyoga didn't know.

when hyoga saw ryusui grab their arm and practically drag his lover to francois' bar, he couldn't handle it anymore. he was really starting to dislike ryusui--was the captain not aware that yn was already taken?

hyoga had had enough. he simply let his spear drop to the floor as he trailed behind his lover and ryusui. this action of his earned a snicker and a degrading comment from mozu but the man immediately stopped his taunts once he saw hyoga's dark gaze.

once hyoga caught up to the pair, the first thing he did was grab a hold of his lover. he used one arm to tear them away from ryusui's grip and the other to gently caress their face.

his face turned into a frown after he realised that his lover had had too much to drink and were terribly intoxicated by the alcohol. how could they have been so careless?

'say, ryusui, don't you think they've had too much to drink already?' hyoga spoke, trying to keep his voice as monotone as possible.

'hmm...? we've barely drunk 4 glasses though-!' ryusui tried to explain.

'yeah, i think i'm going to have a few more!' yn confirmed.

'oh come on, you're on the verge of passing out. you know you can't handle alcohol very well.' hyoga snapped back. to be fair, he wasn't lying. his lover was practically falling asleep--their eyes were barely open and they could not form a coherant thought at all.

before ryusui could answer or before his lover could object, hyoga had already picked up his lover in a bridal-style manner and had already begun to depart the main deck of the ship.

he was right after all, his lover was just too tired to even deny any of his claims because as soon as hyoga swept them into his arms, they found themselves falling closer into a deep slumber.

the captain would've objected but he knew better than to get on hyoga's wrong side and he could not deny that indeed, 3 glasses of alcohol had rendered yn pretty helpless. so, he let them go but was determined to drink with them another time.

finally, his lover was far away from ryusui's grasp could hyoga finaly breathe properly.

upon gently settling his lover down onto their bed, hyoga realised that their lover had fallen asleep. a small smile crept it's way onto his features as he layed down next to them...

Saw a rather mean post last night, and genuinely, I do not understand how people can play Persona 5 (particularly Royal), and come out thinking Akechi genuinely hates Joker when Morgana outright states for the audience, "You don't really hate Joker, do you?" Akechi laments how they didn't meet a few years earlier and how they could've been "great rivals, perhaps even friends." o_O Like... is this a vanilla thing? I genuinely don't get it. The interrogation room wasn't even his idea (SIU director mentions as much). It's not even about the ship- the game spells out that their bond is more complex, and it just so happens that a lot of people like to explore it as one. Even as platonic, tho, there's a shit ton of depth. Idk, any time I see discourse (especially people making fun of Shuake fans and stuff), I just question how many people actually paid attention to the dialogue. Even the "I hate you speech" reads as him being extremely emotionally constipated and conflicted. Plus, y'know...

Very hateful. Sure. :p Idk, maybe certain playthroughs of the game remove all those moments where the game spells out that they have a special bond (Maruki even states it isn't based on hatred, but that's only if you get his third awakening). Just wish people would get off their high horses, if anything. Sometimes I see people get really condescending about liking Akechi or liking Shuake, and like... just block the tags if you don't like these things instead of posting untagged ship/character bashing and making fun of fans? At least have the decency to tag it as something that Shuake fans can filter because some of those posts are really mean-spirited. :/ You think we haven't heard it all before? I may be new to the fandom, but I have heard that this BS has been going on for years.

I don't think it really matters if there are "healthier" ship options because some of us prefer the messiness, the depth, and complexity. It's not for everyone, and I respect favoring more straightforwardly sweet and wholesome dynamics or wishing your favorite pair got more spotlight. I'm a Riku and Kairi shipper in Kingdom Hearts, for crying out loud. :P I get it, but you're not gonna win anyone over to your side by telling them that [insert ship here] is better. In my case, it makes me more averse because of how deeply their relationship in the confidant, engine room, and third sem touched me and seeing people go "yeah, but you are wrong for feeling that way, THIS is better" is just... yeah. :/ (Also, people gotta learn the difference between hitmen and serial killers. Akechi is the former, which I've ranted about before, but yeah.)

So many fandom problems could be solved if people didn't take the piss out of others for shipping something they don't personally like. x_x; By all means, feel the way you feel, it's okay to not like things.

Okay so while I do art there's only so much my chronic pain ridden hands can produce and so animatics/animations aren't really in my wheelhouse BUT I have a bunch of ideas and songs that the Ninjago fandom should use + some ideas that yall can totally use (@ me or send them to me though if you do cause I want to see them)

Always Gold-Radical Face: Is literally a perfect song for Wu and Garmadon, like it's literally about two opposite brothers treading wildly different paths like what more could you want

Brutus- The Buttress: Yall please I am begging that someone does something with this song relating to Morro's hatred/jealousy towards Lloyd because this song is absolutely perfect for it! Lines such as "-and if you want I'll call you king but why do I lie awake each night thinking "instead of you it should be me"" and "Please know my actions are not motivated only by envy, I to have a destiny" there are so many more but I'll let yall do the rest of the work (Also you could kinda do it with Wu and Garmadon but ehhhh)

Human Enough- ONR: This could work for multiple of the characters if you ask me but if you ship anyone with Zane or Pixal the song could totally work those two them specifically cause it talks about the singers partner/love interest being "made perfect" and idk we need more Pixal content soooo. Honestly any of the characters that get de-human-ed (for longer than one episode) would do great with this song, like Cole in his ghost arc, Nya after Seabound or Garmadon at like any point in the story. Line examples: "Cause you are made of perfect stars and I was built from broken parts" and "I'm not human enough to love yo right now/ I'm not human enough to cry or cry for" are my personal favorites.

Laplace's Angel (Hurt People? Hurt People!)-Will Wood: Lloyd, Sora or Wu (Specifically the young version of him from the Spinjitzu Brothers books) song about the weight of the world being on your shoulders and not knowing what to do and like the consequences of actions and fun stuff like that

Easier- Crane Wives: Misako, like seriously so many Crane Wives songs work well for this woman because A) her whole attempt to change destiny or B) Her failure as a mother and you know the whole kinda cheating on her husband thing, but this one specifically cause it's a song about leaving someone behind and feeling bad while also not being able to stay. Lyrics such as "If you woke and I was gone from the house that we made our home would it bend yo, break you, overtake your heart?" and "I won't move but I can't stay here. So what the hell am I supposed to do?" and "If I were someone else, would this be easier?"

Stranglers Fig- This could definitely be a Cole (specifically relating to his father and dance backstory) or Kai song, many of the lyrics involve someone being pushed to do more and more and finally snapping because they've done everything they can and there's nothing left but their desire to be better. Lyrics "You bult your kingdom around me, now I'm trapped within your walls and all I want is to be free" and "Climb me to the canopy, higher, higher 'till there's nothing left of me." and "You're the culprit so don't blame me."

No offense to anyone but genuinly the Babby Shuggy moments not only made me ship it but also make me not understand people who feel like their dynamic in canon isn’t „all that interesting“ after they split. „They haven’t seen each other in years. They are different people now. They aren’t thinking and regretting their splitting 24/7!“ okay, but also like…. You don’t want them to have more screentime after the flashback that can just really flesh out how they changed? You don’t think Buggy fucking up upwards coupled with Shanks actual epicness while still being the type of guy to be chill with Buggy and congratulate him for fucking up upwards would be fun? You don’t even want them to have that cool anime shonen type thing where they work together for a while and get into a fight and get a full page panel of them ready to kick ass while standing back to back? (The „What? You’re fighting too?“ scene from Kingdom Hearts may be overused but it comes to my mind immediatly because sometimes things are overused for a REASON and it fits them in a weird way) Like…. Okay. Your loss. But even beyond shipping I am still a bit flabbergasted at some people being like „Yeah but there’s nothing THERE.“ like, COME ON THERE COULD BE SO MUCH.

Okay, anon, sometimes you need to understand that people have no taste and sometimes we are more intelligent than others and we have to carry the burden of liking and understanding an amazing ship that a lot of people find boring in canon because they don't know how to read the characters. (I'm half joking here, by the way)

Like!!! I started shipping them from the first second they mentioned they were together when they were young. The first flashback of them has the biggest most beautiful "young, teenage best friends to lovers angsty with a lot of pining and not actually unrequited love" I've ever seen. And not only that, even their fucking past is a slow burn. They make you wait to know about the resentment and what happened between them (I've only watched that flashback in wano, if more things are shown in the arc or the manga I don't know about them so don't spoil me in the comments pleaseplease) and it's so so so beautiful. Like- They make me want to lay on the floor all day and cry WHAT'S NOT INTERESTING ABOUT THEIR DYNAMIC????

You know what happens, anon? A lot of people don't like the childhood best friends to lovers trope because they find it boring (for some reason I still don't understand because it's literally my favorite trope) and so they decide to focus on the rivalry and angst that comes later but, y'know, that's when the fanon thing comes up and they focus more on that than on their actual canon past where they're best friends.

And tbh the fact that they reduce their characters only to their relationship instead of to their actual personalities and goals is a shame because Buggy and Shanks have to be two of the most charismatic and interesting anime characters I've ever seen. They're fun and extremely cool to watch even when they aren't thinking about each other 24/7. People, please stop only thinking about ships for a moment?? And if you do, please at least think about how cool it's going to be once they get together again after so much time being apart.

This reminds me a lot of Soukoku and Satosugu ngl. The whole BFFs until there was this big betrayal thing and also the fact that people only like them because of their relationship and are always mad their characters aren't only about the ship.

Honestly, I'm so excited to see more of them and every time they talk/show up on screen I immediately start sobbing. How could people not find them interesting in canon? Buggy is literally one of the best characters wdym?? Also he'd be extremely angry at people reducing him to his relationship with Shanks, dude already is tired of that man let him rest!! Imagine people always talking about you to talk about the ex you still love like damn please he's an awesome character too. And Shanks, too, but like the dude is a simp and he would love this whole thing so-

Yuga Yuga Yuga

YUGA YUGA YUGA i'm so normal i'm the NORMALEST abotu yuga ohdo. He makes me insane. He makes me explode. Thank GOD he exists and I can talk about him.

Why I like them/why I don’t

Honestly, when I first starting watching Sevens, way back when the first few episodes of the sub were airing before I dropped off for years… I didn't care much for Sevens, and I didn't care much for Yuga! I couldn't get much into the premise! I liked this dystopian setting I was introduced to where everything about duels was being controlled, but it just felt like not enough was being…done with it, to hold my attention. Also, I didn't have any exposure to Rush era fans back then, anyone I was seeing talking about it was talking about not liking it so far… I dipped fast.

Then, I was exposed to people who liked the Rush era, and people who were actively watching Yugiohs for the first time, and I missed watching a Yugioh for the first time, because it had been years. So, I gave Sevens another shot. By this time, the dub was long done, so I watched the dub since I had easier access to it. And my opinions switched fast. My favorite character at first became my least favorite, and Yuga soared to the top. I'm not sure exactly when it happened for me… I just remember, by the time the tournament arc arrived, I was rooting for a Yuga-Nail-Roa teamup, and cheered when I got it.

So, what do I like about Yuga?

What don't I? He's a guy who cares so much about his invention and just wants everyone to have fun with it. Yet, he's continuously a bystander in his own story, other people advancing things where he doesn't have that vision to the point where he gets called out on it multiple times. He constantly forgets that he has supporters and friends at his back, and tries to take on everything himself. He punishes himself for things that aren't his fault. He always knows what's going on…to the point where everyone expects he has the solution to have problem. He was willing to blow up a corporate office because there was a ladybug in it. I am obsessed with this guy. I could probably list things I like about him all day. He's my emotional support blorbo. I need to stare at him like I need air. Speaking of staring at him--

What I like about their appearance

He looks just like Roxel Kingdom Hearts for real and that's what immediately drew me to his appearance. Whoever on the Yugioh team decided to bring the Akuroku fankid to life as a Yugioh protag is my hero. I have a tendency to love characters wearing red jackets (hi jaden) too… And, I really like his shirt in Sevens. The little design on it. Cute. The red button up shirt in Go Rush? Very queer of him. Perfect little bean.

Do I prefer their dub names or original names?

I prefer Ohdo over Oudo for a last name! I just like the h, idk.

Favourite card they use

Oh, man, this is a tough one… I'm really obssessed with Sevens Road Charm Witch, but technically, Yuga doesn't play that. I really like Sevens Fear Magician, he's really cool. The fusion between Dragias and Sevens Road Magician is also really good, but Sevens Fear Magician is a REALLY cool name. I prefer Sevens Road Witch's design over Magician, though.

Favourite moment they were in

Okay I have two. One for Sevens, one for Go Rush. And these are gonna be extremely predictable.

Sevens is the Yuga Goha arc. Specifically, Yuga VS Yuga. I like both the sub and dub interpretations of how the duel started; I recently sat down and watched them both and compared/contrasted them. In the sub, they just both know each other well enough to know what the other is up to, and Ohdo's threatening to destroy dueling for good if Goha doesn't duel him. In the dub, Ohdo calls Goha to him, and Ohdo threatens to destroy Goha's duel account if Goha doesn't duel him. There's a lot going on in both these interpretations of these two that I love. I'm absolutely feral about this scene. Ohdo dueling to the point of literal collapse.

Go Rush is the second Yuga VS Yuhi duel. Everything leading up to it, bringing Yuga to be the villain trying to stop Yudias and Yuhi… it's INSANE. You can really see that the Yuga VS Yuga duel, the whole Yuga Goha situation in general, really traumatized him. His friends forgot completely about him, and Yuga Ohdo already sees himself as someone who isn't important, who is expendable, willing to give up his own identity for the chance to change this history/future. And that's just the damage we saw in the show, it's really heavily implied if not outright stated that Yuga Goha was wreaking havoc with Monster Reborn before Yuo sealed his memories and turned him into Swirls. Yuga takes complete responsibility for the Yuga Goha situation (in the sub, after the Yuo VS Yuga Goha duel, asking himself "What have I done…?"), is clearly holding himself accountable even years after the fact in his POV, and is willing to do anything to atone. I was waiting since season two of Sevens for a Yuga Ohdo Villain Arc, and I loved this. Yuga putting fixing his own mistakes over the possibility of bringing back an entire extinct alien race. Like, I side with Yudias on this one, even though it came out that Monster Reborn can't help him after all, but I empathize with Yuga heavily. Also, I'm a real sucker for the hero/protag turned villain scenario.

Least favourite moment

Any moment where Yuna's trying to force a crush onto Yuga, especially the baby episode. I hate the baby episode with a passion.

It was a normal day in Stayville Kingdom, where Hyunjin was the crown prince and next in line to the throne after his own father. But within the 4 corners of the walled dominion, there was some concern regarding security of the royal lineage after a series of strifes among two neighboring kingdoms, making the Court come up with preemptive steps to heighten Stayville’s security.

“A personal knight?”, Hyunjin muttered after receiving word from his father, a finger placed intently on his chin before the king hummed. “Yes, my child. I’m afraid this is just for defense purposes, we don’t want anyone to harm you and they should be with you at all costs.”

The prince fixed the sleeves of his top before running through the pages containing profiles of every person in the Royal Guard, but one in particular already caught his eye.

“I think I already have someone.”

“Who is it?”

“Chris..”

The blonde-haired boy, a bit shorter than Hyunjin and most especially he had a bulky build with strong arms, sharp eyes and that sculpted, stoic face.. Perfect for a boy to toy with– I mean, a personal knight.

Even Hyunjin’s father took an esteemed eye for the knight, since he proved to be a leading man in promoting peace and order, just what he needed. “I’ll let him know then, son. But that was quick..”, he chuckled.

The prince shook his head, “No, father. He’s just the perfect one.”

And Hyunjin didn’t lie about that. But deep inside, there was this urge to spoil Chris.. maybe give him so much food as a treat of honor, a feast fit for a trusting guard.

The king smiled and nodded his head, “The prince would also like to see you in his quarters. He’s.. been waiting for you.”, he said before Chan expressed his gratitude and headed off, his heart thumping suddenly as he felt giddy.

As soon as the door opened, a full spread of food was there before him and a beaming Hyunjin who finally got to see his prized knight. “Oh, Chris! So glad you made it! Come sit!”, the prince would be all smiles and made the guard flustered at the lack of time to process the scene, but at the mention of food, he automatically knew what he was here for: a celebration.

“Oh- uh- Your majesty! You didn't have to do this, really.. I-”, Chan said, a bit overwhelmed by how the prince could even afford such a thing but a shush from Hyunjin already made him fall into silence.

The young man walked up to him and smiled, giving him a golden plate and shiny utensils before smiling sweetly. “I insist, my knight. After all, never in all the years I'm here would I get an opportunity like this..”, he mumbled. “So you better savor it.”, Hyunjin ended as he emphasized every word while placing food on Chan's plate.

Those words would leave Chan speechless, shocked to see another side of the otherwise lovely prince but a discreet blush was all it took and Chan would see himself eating the food off of his plate.

But that one plate turned into many more as Hyunjin broke his knight little by little, just encouraging Chan and teasing that he must be “eating well like a king” before starting his duties.

That made way for a stuffed Chan nursing his tummy and Hyunjin trying to restrain himself from doing anything that would stray his way, but the scene just lighted something inside him the he never knew..

After a while, Chan went back to the shared quarters of the guards and Hyunjin would see him again but the next thing on the agenda was his personal self-defense classes.

But why? Of course, Hyunjin knew how to defend himself but where was Chan in the picture?

In Hyunjin's eyes, he would be useful. Of course, he'd use the knight’s help as the job would settle on the older's shoulders but that's about it.

In reality, this wouldn't be the first time since a long time that the two would cross paths. The knight and the prince were mandated to stick by each other and that meant more time for Hyunjin to know the cute knight by his side.

“So your family knew my dad? Huh, what a small world..”, Hyunjin said to which Chan nodded with a shy smile. “My dad worked for yours as a secretary, while my mom worked as one of the special seamstresses.. They had these jobs since they helped our kingdom in the past during the war.”

Those ancedotes made it more clear that the hard work ethic ran in the blood and Chan didn't let any bit go to waste, such a characteristic resembling the kingdom.

Hyunjin smiled and couldn't help but think on how much it meant not only for his dad but for him. “Well, I'd like to thank both of them for their hard work, and even you.”, he said sweetly and held his hand, making Chan blush as he was fed some special desserts as requested.

As time passed by, they would spend their time together walking outside the castle or just accompany the prince in everyday things like buying from the market or on his self-defense classes.

But then, with more time getting close meant more time Hyunjin spoiling Chan with food that he could afford or already stored on the castle as the prince ordered another feast.

Time passed and Chan put on a significant amount of weight, mostly on his belly and thighs that made sure to leave a mark on his suit and even made it a bit hard to wear his armor. The continuous spoiling he received made it hard for Chan to keep up with training.

“Looks like someone's been spoiled rotten by the prince.”, Changbin smirked and patted his friend's belly to which Chan nudged him away.

“Oh, shut up! At least he treats me well..”, he blushed. “Ooh, someone's eyes are keen on a royal?”

“SHHHH!”

It would be proven true after one day, when Hyunjin and Chan were guiding each other to wield a sword as the prince wanted to be prepared in case he'd go for a strife.

As their hands interlocked along the base of the sword, Chan looked at Hyunjin with a blush on his cheeks before looking down and continuing with their practice. Once it ended, he decided to confess. “I’d.. like to court you, your majesty.”, he smiled.

“Wait.. really? You know I've been waiting for this moment”, the prince blushed, hovering closer to Chan and connected their lips together. And the rest.. was history.

But of course, the story doesn't end there.

A couple of years pass, and along with the king and queen’s blessing, Hyunjin and Chan seem to be over the moon and in love. One thing that has changed, however, was how the prince treated his lover of a knight and led to more weight being gained by Chan.

From having a small tummy, it grew immensely and blew up, making it harder for the knight to keep on restructuring his suit and all. But most of all, his body was inflated with fat and made it hard to walk without waddling his fat ass (which was a point for Hyunjin to tease his boyfriend about).

Not to mention his toned chest melting into squishy, sizeable pecs that resembled the shape of breasts now due to how much it sagged and how fatty they were.

But little did Chan know, he already knew how to defend himself.. Hyunjin just happened to have a crush on the knight and wanted to play with him, mission accomplished.

Then, as soon as they were comfortable and Chan took in all the relationship weight, Hyunjin proposed to Chan and he agreed, not too long after the chair he sat broke under his weight and jumped each other's bones afterward.

“So fucking hot..”, Hyunjin muttered, caressing Chan’s chubby cheek.

After some time in engagement, it wasn't long after the wedding ceremony happened and both said their “I do’s” in front of many people, making Chan a prince as well due to royal rules.

Once they got to their chamber, Chan pulled him closer and saw how hard Hyunjin tried to wrap his arms around him but with no use, he was too big and his fat ended up getting squished with the prince’s slender hands as they kissed.

“I love you, my prince”, Chan smiled and caressed his hair.

“I love you, my knight in shining armor.”

Here's the really long post no one asked for.

So, I know like 3 of you are also Kingdom Hearts fans, this is for you guys.

A few weeks ago, I made a joke post with the caption of "no, Owen! Who else will I be gay spies with?" and someone replied to that with wondering how many people actually get the joke and we went on a whole thing about KH and SAF and it was a great time.

I've thought about that post a decent amount since then, and with my Treasured Memories edit from yesterday, it's got me thinking about the parallels between Rokushi (the ship between Roxas and Xion) and Curtwen.

Roxas and Xion are in a cult

Like that's just what organization 13 is. They take in stray Nobody's (which is what happens to the body of someone when they become a heartless) and tell them they if they work for them, they'll be helping create something what will get their hearts back.

So, how does this relate to SAF? While I wouldn't call their governments a cult, I would say they're trapped there after they join. You can't just retire from being a spy, even if you're not going on missions, you still have all those secrets.

The Organization won't just let Roxas and Xion go, especially since we know what they're using them for. Like how Curt and Owen are some of the greatest spies and are essential to their respective agencies, Roxas and Xion are the most important members of org. They're the only ones who can really help with the organizations goal because they can free hearts. Both of these duos are incredibly important, they're the ones doing all the heavy lifting. People like Barb and the Informant in SAF are important, of course, but they're not the ones out on the field.

Shifting focus, Curt and Owen's nights together are literally just the clocktower trips in Days. It's where Roxas and Xion's friendships really grow, even though they do go on missions together. They talk about their days, catch up, or just sit and eat ice cream together because that's literally what friendship is to them. Of course, Curt and Owen are doing a lot more than just sitting and talking, but it's still where they probably bond the most. They work together, yes, but this is their time off, when they get to let down their guard and be with someone they trust, which I doubt happens too much to spies who are also hiding their homosexuality.

As the game goes on, Roxas and Xion's time together eating ice cream gets less and less frequent, as their friendship becomes rockier and cracks in their trio start to form. I don't know whose Axel in this SAF au, which I guess is a problem with the au as a whole, but I think not having an Axel there is fine. The long and short of Axel's part in KH is that he knows the truth but can't tell Roxas and Xion because then he's at risk of danger and so are they.

So, things get worse and worse with Roxas and Xion over time, Roxas falls into a coma, and Xion begins to find out she's a replica (which is basically a vessel that memories were put into to give it life). This part will be important later. For Curtwen, this is their time together starting to show the cracks in their relationship, Curt will screw something up or he'll do something stupid, and they'll get into trouble and Owen will brush it off. Curt is an amazing spy, but sometimes he's in over his own head. They're also worried about getting caught.

I'd like to talk more about them getting caught, because I do think it relates to something in KH fairly well.

So, Roxas is something called a Nobody, and Xion is led to believe she is one as well. They're led to believe by the organization that nobody's do not have hearts, that they aren't meant to feel anything. In SAF, this relates to the way Curt and Owen's relationship is seen. It's a relationship that shouldn't happen, that'll get them kicked out of the agency and outcasted from society if anyone were to know. Hearts to Nobody's aren't supposed to happen, and yet Roxas and Xion still feel. This relationship isn't meant to happen between Curt and Owen, and yet they're still having it.

358/2 Days, the game Roxas and Xion star in, has been called a "playable tragedy". You watch these friends form these tight bonds, you watch Roxas and Xion grow heart and memories and become one with each other, and then Xion learns the truth. She was never meant to exist. The nobody's have been told that a lot, but she's not even a nobody. She's a robot that went against her programming, so to speak. The long and short of it is that Xion is another characters memories of this girl named Kairi. Everyone sees Xion differently, Roxas sees her with black hair, Axel sees her as a girl named Namine, a guy named Xigbar sees her as a kid named Ventus who at this point in release order has never even been mentioned by name. At first Xion was this hooded figure with no face, but as she grew with the people around her, she gained a heart of her own. To me, Owen was never one to stray away from the point of the job until he met Curt. Curt made him reckless, gave the job more fun because they were getting into danger together. Before Curt, Owen thought his job was boring because he was so good at it. He wasn't meant to be able to break away from this job, but Curt gave him reason to. Curt was fun and reckless and got them into more trouble than was probably worth, but he made the job interesting. Roxas and Xion work together as a team because they were practically made for each other (and in canon are very closely tied together through heart shenanigans it's a whole thing).

Ok so back to the finale of Days. Basically, Xion gets reprogrammed and needs to kill Roxas. The reason being is that she doesn't want to do the bidding of the organization anymore and has been giving a chance to get out of it by, get this, literally offing herself. So the organization captures her and remakes her the way she was intended to be. When Roxas sees Xion's face, she doesn't look like Xion anymore. She looks like the person whose memories she's stole.

This is very DMA coded to me, not the whole offing herself to go back to her previous half, but the being remade to do the bidding of someone else. Xion still remembers that if she dies, she'll be dying for the sake of someone else, but her programming is telling her she needs to kill Roxas because that's what the organization needs from her.

I'm rewatching their fight scene and the line "this puppet will have to play her part" is veryyyyyy Owen got brainwashed by Chimera coded. I don't personally believe Owen got brainwashed, but OUGH ow.

This version of Xion, and Owen's mindset after seeing Curt again after four years, just wants to end the lives of the people they once cared so deeply for. To Curt and Roxas, the people that they love are just gone, the real Owen and Xion they can't get back. Xion appears as this armored thing of darkness to fight Roxas, and Owen is shown as someone who only sees Curt for all of the flaws he pushed away. This whole seen is very One Step Ahead to me. They're even swinging swords at each other and everything!

After their battle where Roxas wins, Xion and Roxas fall from the clocktower, the place they spent so much time together, and Roxas doesn't remember her. She begins to die in his arms, and for a moment all the memories rush back to him, he holds her in his arms before she dies. He gives the iconic line of "no, xion who else will I have ice cream with?" and then she disappears into darkness.

GUYS- THIS IS SO CURT AFTER HE KILLED OWEN I SWEAR-

Curt has tried this entire show to get Owen out of his mind so that he can go back to being a spy and doing his job. And he keeps failing. Now Owen shows up, and not only that but he wants him dead. They fight, and Curt wins. Now he's holding Owen after all of this pain, and Owen is gone again. And all of it is his fault. Owen's gone now, there's no getting him back. We don't know what Curt does to Owen after he dies, probably holds his dead body in pure devastation that he killed not only his best friend but the person he cared about so much. And Owen simply drifts away, with no way of getting him back.

Days ends with Roxas in a data version of the town he spent so much of the game in, new friends, new problems. He ends up dying as well. In SAF, this is probably whatever happened post canon to lead to Curt's death, whatever that may be.

So Xion in the real organization 13 is floppy disk Owen and when Roxas comes back it's actually a clone of Curt guys trust me on this-

Sorry, this is long and probably doesn't make much sense. I love 358/2 days, story wise it's one of my favorite KH games. And I obviously love Spies Are Forever, shocking absolutely no one. This was honestly just fun to write, I know this'll probably get at max like 3 notes but yknow what whatever.

Also I'd like to briefly talk about the name I'm going for for this ig au? This comparison let's call it.

358/2 days is a reference to the time roxas and xion were in the organzation together. the /2 (over 2) means it's over 2 people. So missions is the 358 missions Curt has gone on, some with Owen, and some not. We don't have an exact amount of missions, but for this I'm going with 358 because idk it just works in my head

"You must fix your heart" series by @screechthemighty as much as I like Valhalla, it didn't come CLOSE to what I want from a post Ragnarok story like these fics do. They are kind of interlinked and honestly, after (Massive GoW ragnarok spoilers) this really helped me with all of that.

Angry Words by PoH. Actually anything by PoH. They are my best friend and all of their writing is fantastic. They Semi sincerely wrote fics about William Birkin having a love affair with the element fire, they wrote a GORGEOUS fic about Jack and the Little Sister's first Christmas on the surface, and a lot of great Ace Attorney and KH stuff that fill in blanks or are post series. But this is maybe the funniest ones they did (outside of William/Fire which was a sort of parody) where Xigbar gave Roxas and Xion a PS3 and a copy of Bioshock with no context and they learn about Swear words! Like "Communist!" and "Goddess!" It's great.

Dripping Diamonds (between my thighs) by @empresscirque Okay I haven't read it. But Empress is another fantastic friend and this is maybe their most popular piece. I skimmed it a bit and it's written really well. (Just not my ship, and they know that)

The Mallard Family by GreyLiliy as a MASSIVE Darkwing Duck fan I can't emphasize enough how much this completely changed how I thought of his yuppie neighbors, the muddlefoots.

Pearls of Portent by Zophaer Link/Mipha fic where Link wakes up with 7 of Mipha's eggs next to him. Link is mute, everyone is confused, it's really sweet and sad.

Okay, on to mine

As long as you should have lived - a Resident Evil post village story where Chris proposes a legally real but otherwise fake marriage to Mia in order to fulfill his promise to protect Rose. Mia agrees, and things don't go as well as they planned. Chris is a Demiromantic Asexual in here, Mia has loads of trauma to unpack from 7 and 8, and their fake honeymoon keeps running into complications, like Ethan's sister who never bought anything Chris said.

The Jecht/Maleficent series Kingdom Hearts universe, some time shortly after BBS, Maleficent mistimes a teleport and ends up on Destiny Islands, where she runs into Jecht - recently of Radiant Gardens - and falls ill. A combination of exoticism and Florence nightingale leads them to having a one night stand. After THAT it splits into 3 universes. In all of them, Jecht has promised to love her forever. In all of them, How that plays out depends on what happened right after that promise.

Italian Beef Sandwiches and Spaghetti! Introducing Chef Carmy! Look, in 2023, The Bear and Delicious Party Pretty Cure came out. Both stories had people using food to deal with dead family members. I had to smash them together, and I had a LOT of fun doing it. It was written before S2 came out so it's not exactly canon compliant even before the girls show up, but like... I had Yui and Carmy talk about food and dead relatives and Ritchie trying not to swear in front of kids.

You are not alone stand alone story in my Quadratum series, Sora figures out he's Aro Ace after being very confused by the X-files. Aya, Garrett, NieR, and Sora all have great moments, Ash gets introduced and as much as I love Xem, xeir pronouns make me frustrated (but non binary people deserve more non they/them rep) and Garrett also learns something about himself.

Welcome, Curious Friends a zine piece where Sora went to Phantom Manor and woke up looking at a ticket taker skeleton. It's got a mystery, it's got danger, it's got a LOT of catharsis for anyone who has ever wanted to punch (spoiler)

You were first friends with Rhaenyra, having been friends since young and visiting each others kingdoms. She adores your humor and loyalty most. You'd would both often make snide comments and remarks to each other  at parties or events you both didn't want to attend and end up spending the night laughing. You absolutely tease her when anyone calls her cruel or mean because while she is sassy you find people who think she's "evil" are absurd so you'll sarcastically call her "Rhaenyra the meanie" which just makes her cackle.

Besides Alicent you were Rhaenyras closest friend and she wanted nothing more than to spend the rest of her life eating cake and flying her dragon with you 🥰. She always had a romantic interest in you and would often playfully flirt with you.

Unfortunately contact comes to a slow when she marries Laenor and starts having kids and you eventually take over your kingdom as king. You both start talking a lot more during the weeks leading up to Viserys death. She would write to you about her worries of becoming queen and everytime you always know just what to say to make her feel more confident in her abilities. 

Daemon knew of you and how close you are with his wife and honestly feels a bit intimidated. He wants desperately to hate you but everytime he meets you in person hes blown away with how clever and badass you are. For real your army prowess gets him going 😤. Daemons never been the one to be “swept off his feet” but you do it with such ease he barely even notices until he's already fallen for you.

When Rhaenyras father dies and her claim to the throne is challenged you instantly make your way to Dragonstone to help assist her in her court without her even having to ask. (Don't worry about your kingdom you left your best sibling/cousin in charge. Which by the way they completely made fun of you and they way you scrambled to get a ship together and go help your girl). 

It doesn't take long until Daemon insists you have the chambers next to his and Rhaenyras room. And takes even less time for both Daemon and Rhaenyra to move you into their room since they already have you spending most of your time in there. Especially at night. 

Since you don't have a dragon Daemon often takes you on flights on Caraxes and teaches you how to fly and give commands in Valyrian. Hes very impressed with how fast you pick up the language. When you start teasing him in Valyrian is when he really loses it.

You absolutely take over Rhaenyras wardrobe and give her the fashion and style she deserves (i want my decked out book Rhaenyra who wears dresses that scream “IM BETTER THAN YOU”) You also gift her jewelry and it makes her melt. She wears the things you give her with such pride.

Speaking of giving jewelry- Daemon gets you a necklace to match the one he got Rhaenyra after his win on Stepstones. You can always see him looking smug with that typical arrogant smirk of his when he sees you wearing it (while literally admiring you).

Daemon and Rhaenyra love how much you get along with their children. You are a great role model for Jacaerys and Baela loves taking you on Moondancer to watch for the enemy (and scare the crap out of any you see). You happily help Rhaena practice dancing (which you always end up inviting Rhaenyra to join you both). And it absolutely makes Daemons heart skip a beat when he sees you playing with his and Rhaenyras two young boys who adore you.

The three of you plan to get married after the war when Rhaenyra was rightfully on the throne (Of course tragically that doesn't happen but we'll be optimistic till then 🥲). Until then Rhaenyra and Daemon have had a ring made for you to match their wedding rings 🥰.

my thoughts:

my favorite little guys in anything ever. they surgically removed my personality to make room for more sefikura. truly i have never loved a ship as much as this one. literal otp of all time.

What makes me happy about them:

everything? they're so funny and silly to me. extremely pathetic creatures. two absolute losers. i think of them and i always smile. i love the fact that each of them have independently made their personality revolve around each other at different points in time, it's so funny.

What makes me sad about them:

EVERYTHING. the fact they will never have a happy ending. the fact they will be enemies in every (canon) universe. the fact they are two extremely broken people who are uniquely equipped to understand each other and that won't be enough to save them.

things done in fanfic that annoys me:

tbh i'm so picky with what i like and don't like about how both these guys often end up characterized, but i also think all interpretations are valuable in their own way. i can't think of any huge annoyances, except that i have very Specific feelings/headcanons about sephiroth in crisis core era, and usually won't read things that veer too far away from that.

things I look for in fanfic:

i love any and all fics where the author makes it obvious that sephiroth is just. completely besotted. and i think cloud feeds off of that, even if he won't admit it. i'll read just about anything with these two, but i especially love stories where authors can articulate the crux of their dysfunction really well. yes, these two have have immense amounts of hate, and blood, and pain between them, but (especially on sephiroth's end) there is also an Intense desire for intimacy, of any kind. these two things juxtaposed well is just magical to me.

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: 

no one. i say that as a joke but it's pretty much true. for cloud i do also ship him hardcore with aerith (somewhat against my own will XD), but outside of that i don't really multiship these two anymore. i used to be a Hardcore multishipper, and while i still appreciate things like some polyshipping (other cleriseph enjoyers where are you, i need food of that ot3 so bad), i honestly can't enjoy the thought of them being with anyone else. i miss being a multishipper, because these days pretty much every single other ship with them (outside of clerith) has become a notp for me. ;w;

My happily ever after for them:

in canon? haha. the closest i could see them in canon ffvii (and the closest i think part 3 of remake would get to giving them a 'happy' ending) is having a moment of resolution similar to what kuja and zidane get in ffix. i would be satisfied with that for canon. BUT if we're taking all the stops off, i want to see the dramatic epic pining slowburn post-AC where they eventually figure out how to lead semi-normal lives alongside each other. this is making me want to write that now....maybe that will be my next fic project.

who is the big spoon/little spoon:

there's an obvious answer here with consideration to builds and hair lengths, i think. i like to think cloud has accepted his fate to have this 7 foot tall piece of brick clinging to him like an octopus.

what is their favorite non-sexual activity:

this is another obvious one, and i'm tempted to say 'fighting', but i'm not sure that clears the bar of non-sexual for them. my second choice is that i think they would just genuinely enjoy being around each other in silence. they're both such introverts, and i like to think of them just recharging quietly with each other.

when I started shipping it if I did:

let me preface this by saying that when remake came out in 2020, i had less than zero interest in vii's infamous love triangle. i wanted no piece of it in my heart or my home. then the game came out and cloud and aerith gripped me by the throat and violently dragged me into falling in love with them by being so damn charming and heartfelt and perfect for each other.

my thoughts:

i love these two so damn much. i really Really loved them in remake, and rebirth intensified this to a level i could Not have anticipated and is currently ruining my life. i love them. i love that they are soulmates, romantic, platonic, or something in-between. i love that their bond and chemistry is near-instantaneous, i love that cloud blooms into letting himself experience softness around her, i love that aerith finally has someone who cares about making her happy and standing by her so damn much.

What makes me happy about them:

so much. their love is so pure and tentative. their vibes to me run parallel to how i see and experience the early 20s as a queer person, essentially the second teenage-hood where you're still feeling yourself out as a person, and you have no idea what you're doing. you feel like you're missing out on a lot of the fundamental experiences that 'normal' people have already had, and i feel like both cloud and aerith mirror that emotion, thanks to the fucked up circumstances of both their lives. aerith is cloud's first real friend after nibelheim (and potentially ever, depending on how close you think he was with zack. to me, i hc cloud and zack were pretty friendly, but not especially close prior to the nibelheim incident.) and cloud is also one of aerith's first friends. they've both suffered such acute loneliness and isolation in their lives, and the fact they find healing for that in each other is so so special to me. the fact that aerith is the person most able to reach through to the person cloud Really is, even under everything he's got going on, makes me so deranged.

What makes me sad about them:

well. there is a very obvious answer. so there is definitely That. that's kind of a big deal.

things done in fanfic that annoys me:

honestly i feel like i don't have many specific fanfic annoyances in general, because if a fic annoys me i just stop reading it, and then my adhd makes me forget i read it to begin with.

things I look for in fanfic:

i really love everything with these two, i love all the cute fluff happy ever afters they don't get to have in canon, but i also love the angst and the drama and the trauma. usually i just gravitate towards any fics that i feel understands the characters well or has interesting ideas, the exact plot or type of scenario is less important to me.

in my heart, cloud's endgame ship is always sephiroth. as for aerith, i'm also a Huge zerith shipper (yes i am in constant emotional pain, how did you know), but aeriseph also firmly has a place in my heart.

any. any of them. i want the most tooth-rotting fluffy ending for these two. (admittedly, their iconic tragedy is a part of why i love them so bad. without it, my emotional investment would be Nowhere near as high.) i've been reading a lot of wedding/alternate future fics with these two lately and they all make me ;w;

i genuinely think it goes both ways, but if i had to say i think cloud is doomed to be a little spoon in any lifetime.

oooh tough one!! i think aerith would love teaching cloud to garden....though i'm not sure he would be any good at it. but i have faith in him to learn.
