I fought back the tears in my eyes as I got into my car after a long day at work. I had been berated not once, but twice by customers over something that not only wasn't my fault, but also out of my control. Normally, I could take a little negativity from people, but today I was overtired and emotional and all the patience I had flew out the window. The icing on the cake was that my boss also blamed me for making the customers upset, so I was yelled at for a third time that day. By the end of my shift, all I could think about was my boyfriend Chris waiting for me at home. I knew it wasn't good to drive when you are crying, so I held everything in until I got back to the triplets house. I just wanted to be wrapped in Chris's arms.

Skye's POV

"Alright. May and I will head into our meeting with Director Fury. We'll meet you back here when we're done."

I frowned at Coulson, glancing at FitzSimmons and Ward to see if any of them would say anything. As expected, FitzSimmons just looked at each other, and Ward nodded to Coulson like he'd known this was the plan from the beginning, which I super doubted.

"Okay... and what are we supposed to do in the meantime?" I asked, turning back to Coulson and asking the question that must've been on the rest of our minds. May was already halfway out of the room, and Coulson stopped mid-step to address my question. He smiled.

"I'm sure you'll think of something."

With that, he turned and headed off with May again. I watched him go for a few steps, then put my hands on my hips and turned back to the rest of my group with a sigh.

"Alright, we've been abandoned at one of the biggest SHIELD bases in the world. I probably know the least about this place out of all of us, so... how about you guys? Any ideas?"

I glanced at FitzSimmons, then looked right at Ward. He had his arms crossed, and he shook his head and took a step back the minute my gaze landed on him.

"I don't know what you all are going to do, but I have somewhere I need to be. I'll meet you back here when May and Coulson are done with their meeting. Try not to break anything until then."

With that, he turned on his heel and started marching away. I let him get a few steps, then turned to FitzSimmons.

"So we're gonna follow him, right?"

"Oh, of course."

"Absolutely."

Y/N's POV

A took a slow, steady breath, then refocused on the sample in front of me. I'd been staring through the eyepiece of this microscope for what felt like an eterity, finally getting somewhere with samples I'd been working with for months. I'd been stuck at the Triskelion that whole time, in a lab with the loudest of the loud field and ops agents coming in and out, constant noise and business no matter where we went. All of that was about to be worth it.

The rest of the lab completely faded out around me, even as I scribbled notes without looking at the paper beside me. The handwriting wouldn't be good, but it would be decent enough that I could decipher it later, and it meant I didn't have to take my eyes off the results of the experiment in front of me for a single moment. I'd carefully built my corner of the lab into what it was, a sanctuary from the noise and chaos, the perfect place to tuck away and lose myself in my research.

At least, normally it was. Today, someone had apparently decided to venture into my corner, as a hand on my shoulder made me shoot out of my chair and almost gave me a heart attack.

"Sorry!" came the frantic voice of my best friend, Mandy. "I didn't mean to scare you! I swear, I said your name, like, three times while walking over here."

I put a hand to my chest, taking half a second to catch my breath before turning back to Mandy.

"It's okay. Honestly, I don't think anything could've shaken me out of my focus without scaring me like that. Did you need something?"

"Just wanted to give you a warning. One of the ops agents broke containment and just wandered into the lab. Figured it'd be better if I interrupted you than if he did."

I sighed, long and heavy, pinching the bridge of my nose.

"Are you kidding me? How did one of them even get in here-"

I turned to see the man in question and stopped dead in my tracks. Grant Ward, my boyfriend, had just stepped into the lab. I grinned.

"Oh, actually, never mind Mandy. This one's the exception to the rest of the ops people."

"Wow, no kidding. I don't think I've seen you smile like that since your experiment at the Academy won our final projects presentation."

I rolled my eyes, but didn't bother with more than that as Mandy took her leave and Grant finally made his way over to me. His smile matched mine, the two of us bringing out sides of each other most people weren't lucky enough to see.

"You didn't tell me you were coming!" I said as Grant finally reached me, wrapping his arms around my waist and pulling me tight to his chest. He leaned in to kiss me, and it lasted a few moments longer than I would've let him get away with in public if I hadn't missed him so much.

"I thought I'd make it a surprise. Our team got detoured here last minute for Coulson to have some meeting with Fury. Lucky for us, they didn't need me to be there."

"That is lucky," I agreed, the two of us sharing a smile again. Grant reached up and gently cuped my chin in his hand, pulling me back in for a sweeter, slower version of our earlier kiss. I sighed when he pulled back and settled onto the lab stool next to me, his thigh pressed against mine.

"So. Wanna tell me what you're working on?"

"Happily. But I don't want to spend all the time we have together in this lab, so don't let me get carried away-"

"Don't worry, we should have all of tonight and tomorrow morning, with a small exception in a few hours when I have to meet back up with my team. I thought I could keep you company while you finish up here, and then we could grab some dinner. I found a great restaurant in the city last time I had an undercover mission there, and it'll leave us plenty of time for you to tell me all about this project you're working on."

"Grant, that sounds perfect. How did I get so lucky with you?"

"Trust me, the feeling's mutual." We shared a smile, smaller and softer this time, but no less special. Then, Grant turned to the microscope in front of us. "So... I take it you're doing something with this?"

"Yes! I finally have interesting results to look at, so your visit was well-timed. Let me tell you about what you're seeing here..."

Grant leaned into the microsope, bracing one hand on my thigh as I put one arm around his shoulders and rubbed gentle cirlces there, narrating what he was seeing on the slide as I went. Within the lab, I'd gotten a bit of a reputation for liking my space while I worked. But Grant would always be the exception to that. I was on cloud nine that he was here, and I wasn't going to waste a single moment we had together.

Skye's POV

"I've never seen him smile like that!" Simmons hissed.

"And he always complains about 'technobabble' when I say more than a few three-syllable words in a sentence!" Fitz agreed. I just huffed a laugh.

"Yeah, well, he's not kissing any of us either. I think that might have something to do with the change."

Fitz and Simmons scoffed right along with me, the three of us watching the scene in the Triskelion's lab for a few more moments before finally shaking it off and heading back into the hallway. Whether or not we found something else to occupy our time until May and Coulson were done with their meeting, we at least had something to tease Ward about for the rest of our lives, which I'd take as a win any day.

so the conversation that goes with this question is so much bigger than one i can really have right at this moment, but i'll try to do my best with what i do have. hopefully that works for you.

from a purely functional perspective, i'm unfamiliar with the vast majority of albums that are submitted to this blog, so unfortunately i'm not the best equipped to detect when albums are promoting bigotry, and there is absolutely not enough time in any of our days to go through the lyrics for every single submission (especially when some might not have been transcribed anywhere) to check for any bigotry.

then: there is the threshold. if we're aware of something that might be an issue, at what point does it become too much? for example, i have, in particular, given leeway to certain uses of un-reclaimed slurs when the date of usage may precede knowledge that those words are harmful, especially if the works are considered culturally significant (either in general or in the genre/movement itself). it's rather uncomfortable, but all things in their context.

the threshold is particularly relevant when talking about things that are deeply normalized in this cultural context. did this songwriter set out recreate violence or is it a really unfortunate reflection of the beliefs of the society the song was created in? obviously intention can only "protect" one so much since you have to look at the practical effects as well, but if you look at an album and can see that it was created to intentionally push hateful messaging, then that would be an example of something we wouldn't want to have on here without question.

you would be right to say that not allowing any discriminatory anything at all would be extremely limiting. most album covers with sexy women on them, i'm sure, are a reflection of societal misogyny. that's why, when we're aware of it, we have to judge things based on that context and hope that the people submitting albums also thought about this before submitting. we don't have so large a follower base that i'm particularly worried about malicious actors.

general criteria for stuff that i would consider over the threshold include (but aren't limited to): active use of dog whistles, especially in the titles, connection to a hate group, calls for violence (toward a vulnerable population), album art that is meant to make vulnerable populations feel afraid

the thing is, i have to be careful that if i'm going to reject an album submission, i have to be sure that any of my own unidentified biases aren't potentially causing me to do so. this is, i think, particularly relevant when minority/oppressed subcultures reflect bigotry that only exists in those communities as an end result of imperialist pressures. this is a difficult line to walk because i don't particularly want to participate on that side of, say, pinkwashing and its ilk. because of this, i tend to err on the side of permissiveness when it comes to subcultures that i'm not part of or familiar enough with.

anyway, if anyone thinks we might have missed something with an album that we've posted, please feel free to reach out and explain why we should take it down. please do this clearly and in a way that won't be easily misinterpreted, though. sending an ask off anon is the best way. again, it's really, really easy to miss stuff at the scale we have to do things at.

Let's be fair, Ena hates people with big egos. As someone who has had to work extremely hard and put a lot of effort into what she does to not receive any recognition, she does tend to resent those who believe they deserve it without the same sacrifices...

So when she hears about your noble status, it gives her a bad impression. Since she hasn't actually met any people like you before, she's fallen for a few stereotypes herself, as much as she tried to refuse it.

She was... Stunned when she first saw you. Your look wasn't standoffish, or too overbearing. However, your appearance alone established a regal atmosphere without it feeling suffocating. She was stunned...

She would take a few secret photos of you for her to have fun editing. This was a pretty rare chance, after all! She never used the regal themes much before in her edits, so this could be an interesting change of pace. She wouldn't post them without your permission, and would always block your face though!

Honestly, she was at a loss. What was she supposed to do? Was she supposed to act natural? No, that would be too offensive! Should she act formal as well? She has never been too good at it!

Before long though, she learns that you don't mind her normal attitude, as long as she keeps the condescending part to a minimum, and she sighs in relief.

She will definitely ask about how your place looks! The colors, aesthetics, textures, she wants to know it all! If you're able to show her photos, she'll spend hours staring at them to take in every single pixel! Also...

"How did you just keep your cool talking with that cashier?? She was just so rude! She didn't need to pry into our personal life with those questions! God, it's so frustrating what some people do! But... You didn't bat an eye, nor raise your tone! How...?? You're so amazing!"

You shrug it off as something you have to deal with often, and get used to, and Ena seriously questions the implications that you and others of the group may not be so different...

Offer her lessons in proper manners, it could go a long way! Ena isn't the type to mince her words, so this could help her a lot to stay out of trouble...

All in all, meeting you and spending time with you would be an enlightening experience for her, to learn and to explore a side of the world she knew little about! And with you by her side, she could work on some positive attitudes for a change!

Mizuki Akiyama

Mizuki knows that acting the way they do isn't the most pleasing for any stranger, so they have learnt about how to act respectfully and properly, even think it may not seem like it!

That's why they were a bit stiff when first meeting you, making sure you didn't mind their normal attitude, before relaxing once you tell them that it's fine, that they didn't need to force it too much.

They will still treat you a bit special, teasing you less and being generally more respectful altogether! It's... Weird. Their usual energy still shines through, and it's evident that they aren't acting as before.

If any of your clothes need a small touch up, they will jump at the opportunity and help you! They will be a bit nervous working with such precious materials, but their talent is unmatched!

They will also host small dress up sessions in your house with all of the clothes you don't use much. They look like they're having so much fun... These clothes are so rare after all!

However, they're taken by surprise when you tell them to try some out. It's... A shock! Mizuki, wearing regal clothes! Well, don't mind them as the session doubles in length and noise with them squealing and getting excited!

Since then, they've fully loosened up and now treat you like anyone else! Teasing you, trying to crack your respectful demeanor, taking cover behind you when someone else (Ena, usually) starts to criticize their behavior...

It becomes a test of sorts, as you try to endure either the urge to shut them up or to laugh at their behavior, although you will laugh more when out of the public's eye. It's such a weird experience, unique of such a person like them!

"Waaaah, why is Ena so meaaaan?? The only thing I wanted was to ridicule her by showing how much editing her selfies went through before being posted! I mean, three hours?? SERIOUSLY?? And she says that I'm the unreasonable one! Waaaahhh... You're on my side, riiiight??"

They do know when to tone it down though, and when they notice that you're tired or simply not having any of it, they return to a more passive attitude, even showing a respectful front instead of you at times!

All in all, they will flip your life upside down, so long as you stay by their side! Everything becomes lighter and brighter next to them, letting you lower your guard with no fear of needing it on, thanks to the casual environments! Just make sure to remain by their side... You're a pillar of strength, even if you don't realize it.

5. Do you respond to comments?

I always try my best to reply as soon as possible wether its an ask, reblog or comment. (Excluding wattpad, as i see that more like people annotating their reading and generally don't want to bother them. But i do always read them and appreciate them, and if something stands out or if someone comments a lot i will respond)

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Ooh i once killed reader off dramatically lol ("Car Crash" blurb) but I think the general reader's concensus would be Caught Me Slippin' , which I didn't even intend to make that angsty, but people cried (allegedly). And honestly, while i apologise for the emotional damage, i do take it as the highest compliment to be able to evoke such feelings.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Most of my stories are quite happy and i'm not sure how to rate "happiness".

8. Do you get hate on fics?

I am actually surprised how scarce the hate is, and usually in the form of anons, because I always expect people to hate me. But thats on insecurities. Honestly, writing on here has always been amazing.

9. Do you write smut?

Yes. I hate it tho 😫 like, love smut in theory and concept but it's a bitch to write.

10. Do you write crossovers?

I love a lengthy and extended au, often inspired by other works (Not Wholly Evil is basically Stranger Things x Pirates of the Caribbean) but i think the only clear "crossover" i (remember to) have written would be Murder on the Dancefloor ??? which would be a tom holland x Strictly Come Dancing crossover lmao. I do often think about tv show crossovers in concept tho, but doubt i'll write any.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Yup. Shit sucks.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Yes, but it was done without my permission and uncredited (which is still stealing!!) so that sucks.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

I've dabbled in co-writing, haha, several times avtually, but for one reason or another, none of the projects were ever published. Would love to one day actually fully co-write something with someone on here.

14. What's your all time favorite ship?

Ngl, i'm not sure I have one. Probably why all of my stories are 'x reader'.

15. What's a WIP that you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

At this point I think this about every single one of my WIPs and that's writer's block for ya.

16. What are your writing strengths?

Hmm...i'd like to think the expression of emotion, showing how characters feel. And maybe world building- or thats at least my favorite thing in AUs. Maybe also details (either motives, references or foreshadowing)

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

I'm horrible at pacing. Always feel like i go too slow with the plot and then suddenly too fast and its all a mess, especially when it comes to series. Also just general knowledge on things; i feel like i don't know enough things to write about when it comez to daily and regular life, or even how to normally interact with people so that makes things hard when trying to be realistic. I also feel like i don't know enough words??? So things get really repetitive.

Oh, and this is also an aspect of writing- i'm horrible at getting feedback in the form of proofreading. It makes me physically sick having someone go through my work like that, and I barely do it myself. Which may result in some horrible typos/mistakes. And i do apologise profusely for that. Believe me, if you caught a mistake in my fic, i still think about it to this day.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in different languages?

Its always better if the writer is familiar with the language. Things you're comfortable with writing translate over better to the reader. It's like in movies/tv, its always better when you have an actor speaking a language they actually know. And if you don't know it, 1) ask yourself why are you writing it then and then 2) better research the hell out of it.

My first fic, that has since been deleted for a long time, was on wattpad and it was for a youtuber lmao. (peak 2013/15 era, thats all i'm gonna say)

I was browsing through another blog and one anon was saying they always drop honorifics quoting Yoongi in the latest vlive. I know it’s not true though. Can you remember instances when JK dropped the honorifics on the other members casually? I know he shouts Yoongi jokingly and took advantage of Yoongi’s absence once. I can’t recall specific ones.

Well this is a QUESTION. Lmao I will definitely link a few examples. I also though definitely want to add this post here first. I go into major depth about honorifics in this post. Please read it if you haven't yet. I talk about what they are, how they are used snd then how JK does (and does not) use them as well here too.

I mentioned the difference in that post as well about how he uses/drops them with his other hyungs vs how he uses/drops them with Jimin as well. I'll quote those paragraphs here for you, literal copy/paste. Sorry, it's a lot of typing. Lol but the thoughts are the same and apply here too so it's easier this way for me:

Now let's talk about BTS, and Jungkook using (or not using) honorifics specifically. Now I will say that ALL of BTS are insanely close and have almost no boundaries together. Over the years, I am POSITIVE that all 6 of his hyungs have given him permission to use banmal with them on occasion, or off camera. And I could find examples of JK dropping honorifics with every single member if I wanted to (but that's a lot, send another ask if yall want that. This is already an essay. Just trust me for now please). But we also know that using honorifics is his norm for the most part, and especially during the early years, he wanted to keep that up. We do see him genuinely drop them sometimes, normally in celebratory excitement. Like when he dropped them for Jin in his excitement over congratulating him on his solo release. Or when he called Taehyung TaeTae during a game in a variety show. And he often drops honorifics or just uses -ssi when addressing the members by their stage names (Rap Monster, V, JHope). They did bring up JK dropping honorifics with Yoongi during Butter interviews, saying he shouts his name in the halls sometimes just going "YOOOONGGGIIIII" at the top of his lungs. Lol and yes, the fact that he DOES and CAN do that, speaks to the incredibly close relationship he has with his hyungs. But again, that specific example reads more teasing and joking that a serious drop of honorifics. Or it's different because it's their stage name, not truly their name. But with Jimin... with Jimin, it's different and it's often...

The post is long, but it goes into more detail and if you haven't read it yet, please do! So here is the thing, I don't really consider the stage name use as a true dropping of honorifics, it's not their name and they all very often will just use the stage name, aka: "suga" often without attaching anything else to it. They will still sometimes say Suga-hyung or Suga-ssi with the added honorific, but it really is a fairly even split. And they still are considered from what I've seen to be not be speaking informally even when just using the "Suga" in their overall speech. It still speaks though to their level of comfort in the group that they are not super strict over that stuff. And often when stage names are used, no one laughs or teases the others about that drop of honorifics. And they often will otherwise.

Please keep in mind that I am for sure going to miss some here. I'm trying to fit 5 members into one post as well as working off what I can find easily. I will probably prioritize more casual drops in honorifics, then just the teasing times or the stage name usages unless that's all I can find though too.

I mentioned in my paragraphs above from my other post calling him TaeTae during a game show, but that's not actually what he was doing, it was instead him guessing at what Jimin had him as in his phone, so doesn't actually count. My mistake! Lol but in his 2018 birthday tweet to Tae he does Hashtag him #TaeTaeHappyBirthday

When in a 2018 interview JK initially denied playing the informal speak game talk with his hyungs, but then namjoon said "just pick a hyung that is easiest to bully." So JK said "ahhh... ahhh... Taehyung-ah" and everyone giggled super hard

Summer Package 2018, Tae introduced JK as his chingu only for JK to start scolding him that they aren't chingus/the same age. Lol Jin then starts encouraging him to then speak informally to Tae which he then does for a bit: "yah!" Lol

And then yet in 2021 Festa, the members were playing a word association game and when the prompt was Taehyung, JK answered "chingu." How far they've come since 2018 🥺 the drop in honorifics and formality showcasing their close friendship now!

Now I talk about JK dropping honorifics with Jimin in that post I linked at the top, and I talk about it a bit more as well here too. The difference is, in my opinion, clear. But that doesn't mean that the comfort level he has with his other hyungs is less. I talk about formal vs informal between all the members more as well in my Dangshin post too. So I don't think this person was necessarily wrong when they said they all do it all the time... they aren't totally right either. I'm 100% positive though that off camera and on personal time, informal speech is much more common than it is on camera. And they all do it, not just JK. Jimin actually seems to be the most "strict" in ways about sticking to formal speech when speaking to or about his hyungs and staying respectful. And even he does drop honorifics in geniune casual ways and in teasing ways with the older members. As well as their many stories about all being as close as family and so loving and genuine with each other. The informality certainly skyrockets when they are alone. But I do also think there is a fairly easy to see difference in context and tone with JK dropping honorifics with his other hyungs and with his Jimin hyung. Just my opinion though!

How Do We Even Get to Jasper/Beauford?

In the last post I go into this a bit but the most likely outcome, I think, is after Beauford is turned. There's no Renesmee in this world to convince Edward that vampires have souls, more, without Renesmee pushing the envelope, Beauford will have to go to Carlisle to be turned.

This will cause a major falling out between Edward and Beauford that could lead to the strengthening of the emotional relationship between Beauford and Jasper.

However, there's still Alice to consider. Jasper will not leave her, not unless something major would occur. From his perspective she's all that's good in his world and saved him from death, he adores her even if they don't quite understand one another. Alice would have to leave him.

If Alice sees there's no winning, if she has a Drusilla moment (I couldn't find the relevant clip but suffice to say that Drusilla sees that Spike will fall in love with Buffy as early as season 2 and dumps him preemptively because of it, Spike does not understand this until three more years and a whole bunch of garbage comes to pass), then she very well will do that. In which case Jasper might rail against the machine, deny that he'd leave Alice for Beauford, but inevitably end up with Beauford.

Otherwise Edward has to do something decidedly vile and stupid. Given that there's no daughter to forcibly abort, Beauford's already been turned, Edward's motivations for taking such an action go down tenfold.

So, I guess we're in Drusilla world. Alice preemptively dumps Jasper before he can dump her. Jasper does not understand.

Jasper and Edward Fight

I dropped a line at the end that Jasper may be forced to fight/murder Edward.

Now, this is if Edward reaches peak madness, he may not.

Beauford betrayed him, Carlisle betrayed him by turning Beauford, the vampiric rubble of Beauford's noble human contenance is now frolicking about with Rosalie the Whore and Jasper the Demon, Edward's ripe for a whole pile of crazy Edward pizzas.

Don't know what he'll do, of course, probably try to murder-suicide the family in some spectacular manner that involves breaking the secret, setting the Volturi upon themselves, and revealing himself as a demon to mankind.

Who is on Edward's Side?

At this point, Edward's at a stage of unparalleled madness. Carlisle cannot stand with him, Rosalie likewise will not, Emmett sides with Rose/sanity, and pretty much all but Esme are off Edward's side. Esme for that matter thinks Edward just needs a little therapy and Alice is miffed Edward keeps purposefully choosing the worst possible option.

Alice isn't so much on anyone's side, she still hopes to keep the coven together, but Edward's making that increasingly impossible due to his own stupidity/descent into madness. The best Alice can do now is prevent collateral damage.

So, I guess no one's on Edward's side.

2. "Wait, don't just leave, what the fuck!" Tommy to Tubbo, immediately after the first command. Tubbo was a bit embarrassed and unsure why he almost just walked away when Tommy can barely stand. He came back, helped Tommy up, and helped him walk home. He then got Tommy a glass of water.

3. "Get some sleep, Tubbo." Ranboo to Tubbo, the first night after Tommy's revival. Tubbo blinked and immediately laid his head down in his arms, falling asleep in the chair besides Tommy's bed. Ranboo was a little surprised, but not distressed. He let Tubbo sleep.

4. "Don't worry about it." Tommy to Tubbo, the next day, after Tubbo asked how Tommy was feeling. Tubbo said okay and didn't worry about Tommy at all for the next hour or so. Tommy accused Tubbo of not being clingy enough anymore. They both laughed it off.

5. "Hand me some more stone?" Ranboo to Tubbo, a few days later, while the two worked on the Bee 'n' Boo hotel.

Jack thought about this for several more minutes.

8. "Come listen to a disc with me." Tommy to Tubbo. They sat on the bench and listened to Cat.

9. "I know I don't deserve it, but... please forgive me." Awesamdude to Tubbo, referencing Tommy's death. Tubbo blinked and said alright. Sam was very surprised. They talked pleasantly for a few minutes. Later on, Tubbo abruptly felt furious at Sam again for failing Tommy. With a shaky hand, he touched the emerald hanging around his neck. He avoided Sam for several days.

10. "If there's something going on, tell us." Ranboo to Tubbo, standing beside Jack Manifold, referencing Tubbo's odd behavior. Tubbo opened his mouth, and in the back of his mind, half-remembered being told not to tell anyone about his deal without Dream's permission. Tubbo blinked, then told Ranboo and Jack that he was just happy to have Tommy back. Ranboo and Jack looked doubtful.

11. "PLEASE COLLECT THREE STACKS OF COAL..." Sam Nook to Tommy and Tubbo. Tubbo almost left for the mine without Tommy. He did not take a break to eat until all three stacks had been gathered, despite Tommy's requests.

12. "Stop being weird, Tubbo." Tommy to Tubbo, after giving three stacks of coal to Sam Nook. Tubbo laughed awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck. He assured Tommy he would be normal.

13. "Please just go to bed already." Ranboo to Tubbo, while the two of them were up late working on the Bee 'n' Boo. Tubbo immediately dropped his tools, walked home, and fell asleep in his bed without another word. Ranboo became very concerned.

14. "Just forget about it." Tommy to Tubbo, in response to Tubbo trying to ask Tommy about what happened in exile. Tubbo blinked, apparently zoning out for a few seconds. 15. "Tell me what's been going on with you." Tommy to Tubbo, the day after Tubbo left his room. Tubbo opened his mouth and then remembered Dream telling him something. He blinked and told Tommy that he was just happy to have him back.

16. "Stop lying!" Tommy to Tubbo, the same conversation. Tubbo told Tommy that he wasn't lying.

17. "Then be honest, what is wrong with you?" Tommy to Tubbo, the same conversation. Tubbo blinked and told Tommy he was just happy to have Tommy back. Tommy walked away.

Why are the mods granted special rules and permissions. For example you guys just created a bunch of Halloween colors and havent given any to the rest of server just other mods. If its not for server function then why is it restricted to just mods. As well why are you guys constantly breaking your own rules and then bragging about it. The post about StableHand Quill in #hall_of_shame yesterday. He highlighted a word in the general chat rooms and then said "I'm a mod don't break rules." Yet there you guys are breaking those rules and there are no problems with it. Not only that but StableHand Quill always brags about being a mod. He mentions it so often. If anyone else did that we would be reprimanded. I have been reprimanded for using a bot command outside of #bot_spam. And also bragging about it as other mods reacted with the laugh emote to it. Estelle and Frosty reacted with the laugh emote. How are we supposed to trust you guys to inforce your rules when you wont even follow them yourself. It shows you arent taking your role seriously. Thats why so many regular members are leaving for other servers lu servers. Ive been here for two years and seeing this every week is exhausting. Please do better. Take your job seriously or step down. We want this server to be respected. We want to use this server and have fun. Please. Please.

Well, unfortunately you're going to make me spoil the surprise. We are in fact making Halloween color roles for the whole server; we never get to change our colors so we were testing them this morning on ourselves and haven't gotten around to rolling them out for everyone else yet. We have jobs and classes, so sadly not everything can happen instantly.

We usually don't answer asks in this vein since they're generally just complaints without productive suggestions/actionable issues, but if you have other examples of mods breaking rules we would be very interested in hearing them.

The example you bring up isn't particularly concerning to us- people make mistakes, even us, and the mod in question called themselves out in a lighthearted manner rather than saying that he's "allowed" to break the rules- that's about what we'd have done if a normal user had used a command in a lounge on accident too. If you have proof of anything more drastic please let us know, since we hold our team to the same standards as the rest of the server.

We're happy to have an adult conversation with you about "taking our jobs seriously" either privately off of anon or on Discord, but suffice to say that many of us put multiple hours a day into making sure this server runs smoothly, despite the fact that the majority of the mod team is either employed, in college, or both.

When anyone yells at me, I become teary eyed and it's rapid Flux of emotions.

Headaches are very common and I don't have the strength to respond without my voice trembling.

Any tips to be calm during this time rather than being numb?

This turned into a pretty lengthy response; I apologize for that, I just have so much to say 😁 I’ll put a TL;DR at the end for anyone who doesn’t have the mental energy to read this right now.

Feeling like we’re on the verge of crying, or actually crying, are normal and common reactions to being yelled at. If the person yelling is someone we care about, it can feel like they don’t like/love us anymore. It can feel like we’re terrible people (because someone who knows us is mad at us) and maybe we even deserve to be yelled at (we don’t). It can feel like we’re being abandoned (if we have abandonment wounds). We may fear for our safety. There are so many other interpretations. Basically, being yelled at hurts. For some people, that hurt turns into anger and they fight back, but no matter how that hurt manifests, it’s distressing nonetheless (being angry is not fun either).

It’s so great that you’re able to recognize the effects it has in your body, I really want you to feel proud of that, because that’s one of the first steps in developing emotional intelligence and learning to regulate our emotions. Knowing what we’re working with is crucial, because then we can do something about it.

Not having the strength to respond is natural. It’s really hard to act in a way that contradicts our conditioning when we’re in a high-pressure, high-stress situation. You may have heard that the way we’re modelled, taught and treated during our formative years (age 0-6 ish) shapes the way we interact with the world. For example, if you had a caregiver who yelled, and they punished you for standing up for yourself, you would probably carry that into adolescence and adulthood. A less obvious influence could be, maybe you were never yelled at as a child. You didn’t see it often (or at all) in other families either, so you grew up feeling pretty secure in that area. Then you meet someone, and one day they yell at you. It’s 100% understandable that you would freeze up in that situation. If we were never modelled the healthy way to cope with that scenario, there’s little chance of us responding that way. So we’ll probably do what we as humans are hard-wired to do (which differs from person to person based on our ancestors’ reactions and our own conditioning) — fight, flight, freeze or faun.

So, tips for coping emotionally while being yelled at, staying calm and not numbing?

Before I get into this, I think it’s important to note that you have every right to walk away when someone starts to yell at you. Others may disagree, but I am a firm believer that yelling during an argument with someone is unnecessary. Yelling has its place, like during fun and when you’re in danger, but I don’t think it belongs in a conversation, especially in one with two people who claim to care about or respect one another. If someone starts yelling at you, you may need to regulate your emotions enough so you can walk away or ask them to stop, but you don’t need to keep regulating after that point if you don’t want to. You can walk away.

Emotional Regulation

Feel the emotions as they come up, and try to name them (this also helps you avoid numbing)

Breathe mindfully. This is important. It’s so easy to not breathe often enough or deeply enough in these scenarios because we’re instinctually trying to stay small, quiet and go undetected. We might also (or instead) hyperventilate. Both of these make the stress worse. Breathing mindfully does two things. 1) It slows our breathing which lets our parasympathetic nervous system take over and calm us down. 2) It gives us an anchor in that moment of chaos. Being able to narrow in our focus on our breath lets us step back from what’s happening, center ourselves, and put space between the stimulus and our response. If we’re completely involved in our exchange with the other person, it’s easy to just act off of instinct, rather than act in accordance with our values. For example, someone who is completely immersed in the situation and not mindful of their inner world might yell back, even though they believe yelling is not the answer. But they yell because that’s their conditioned response. Putting space between what’s happening and how we respond is crucial — it’s the difference between reacting and responding, which is to say, it’s the difference between acting in our old way or in our chosen way.

Ground yourself. Breathing is a grounding technique as well, but here are some other ones: touch, sight, sound, taste and smell. Taste is a trickier one, cause stopping to put gum in your mouth or something isn’t really feasible in this scenario. But the others are doable. Feel: your emotions, the sensations in your body such as cold hands, the fabric of your clothing. See: the clothing of the person yelling at you, their forehead instead of their eyes, the flowers behind them. Hear: the birds outside, your breathing, the silence between their words. Smell: your fabric softener, shampoo or cologne/perfume, the grass or the city smells if you’re outside, and whatever you can smell inside. Or just notice that you don’t smell anything, that works too. The effects of these grounding techniques are the same as those I mentioned about breathing: they calm you down, and put space between stimulus and response.

Notice your thoughts and how they affect your emotions, how your emotions affect your thoughts, how the other person’s emotions affect your emotions, and how their words affect your thoughts and emotions.

Notice the thoughts you feel tempted to speak (like the urge to yell back).

Think about how you want to respond. Do you want to ask them to stop? Do you want to ask for a time out? Do you want to just walk away and come back when they’re calm (or not come back at all)?

All of this noticing does more than give you awareness of how you want to respond, it also gives you the mental clarity needed to disengage from the ways this person is triggering you and then change how you feel. Awareness really is the first step.

If by “be calm rather than be numb,” you mean, “respond in an healthy way,” I can make a separate post about that.

TL;DR Crying is a normal response to being yelled at. Being aware of your emotions while being yelled at is a great first step to learning how to deal with it. How we were modelled in our formative years, as well as how our ancestors responded to being yelled at, shapes the way we handle being yelled at, and how we react/respond to it. Acting in a way that contradicts this conditioning is difficult and takes practice (but it is possible). You can walk away when someone yells at you. Tips for coping emotionally: notice your emotions, anchor yourself in your breathing, ground yourself using your senses, notice your thoughts and emotions, notice your urges, remember how you would respond if you were calm. They key is to be mindful so you can calm yourself down, so that you’re able to make decisions that reflect who you want to be, not who you were.

Hi, so what do think that Nea's end-goal is? He's always saying that he'll keep his promise with Mana (whatever that is. I don't think it's “to keep on walking“ since that's what Mana promised him, not the other way around) and Road says so too. But then Nea also says that he wants to kill the Millenium Earl and (I hope I remember this correctly) destroy every life on earth except for his and Timcanpy's?

*rubs my hands together* anon I have a lot of thoughts on this and I'm actually surprised I haven't written them anywhere! Thank you for asking ♥

My endgame thoughts come off this theory (Mana, Neah, Tyki & Allen) post, this fic (requiem for the beloved) also reflects part of my thoughts (Neah's feelings), and I'm fairly certain there are a handful more of posts I've written on the characters individually but finding them is,,, ah, a hassle lol.

For simplicity's sake, "Mana" will always refer to who we know as Allen's father and the current Earl, while Adam will always mean the past!Earl who split into the twins. I'll also generally refer to Allen as the current one, and p!Allen as the previous one. (Only in dgm would I have to jump hoops for semantics,,,).

TL;DR on the first theory, Adam split into '3' beings or 'souls': Mana, Neah, and the Earl. In the post (piggybacking off of Aymi's original theory), the Earl suit is a lot like Innocence in that it affixes itself to an accommodater. There are a few panels where you can see the Earl suit standing beside Mana, and even the way the suit swallows or covers Mana is similar to the way Crown Clown (CC) possesses Allen.

Some backing evidence: in the Level 4 arc, where CC takes control of Allen to continue to fight despite his physical inability to do so, and in the Alma Karma arc, where CC manifests without Allen's permission or even actual thought to destroy Tokusa. CC clearly acts outside of Allen's will when it wants to, and I think the Earl suit does the same.

So, moving forward, I also think the Earl suit chose Mana (or maybe Mana chose it?) but regardless, the suit affixed itself to Mana and did as it pleased, or what the Earl entity 'should' do. I think it was the Earl suit that killed Neah, and not Mana, and this distinction right here is fairly important.

Mana suffers a lot of guilt and self-hate over Neah's death, and fears the Earl. It's how he and Allen meet, with Mana running away from the Earl. That they exist as separate entities ties into how Neah intends to kill the Earl.

Mana and Neah dearly loved each other, for a few reasons. Just naturally, the way you fall in love with a stranger who becomes your best friend, and then normally, as the siblings they grew up as, and then as Noah, who by genetics love each other automatically. Mana and Neah chose to escape their destiny as the Earl and ran away, because I think they knew it meant only one of them would 'succeed', as the Earl had to be whole and become Adam again. In the end though, Mana devoured Neah.

Neah however refused to give up. For whatever reason moved p!Allen, he offered his life and even his soul to Neah, in honor of this goal that p!Allen thought was worth it. p!Allen knew what he was doing. He knew about akuma and the Earl and the Noah and about the power of souls, hell I'm willing to bet he even knew about reincarnation (or whatever you call what Kanda and Alma went through). p!Allen still chose to sacrifice everything for Neah's goal, and I think that speaks to the nature of what Neah wants. Despite the years, de-aging, changes in environment, and even his lying mask, Allen's base nature/personality can't have changed so much. You're defined by both environment AND genetics after all.

What I'm trying to say is, Allen is a dumb martyr who even in this life would give his body up to what he thinks is a good cause. Therefore, Neah either has a 'good' goal, or convinced p!Allen somehow that he did.

Allen was Neah's friend after all. Surely what he chose to do was still worth sacrificing his friend for.

(Mind you, I think Allen was Neah's only friend. The Noah hated him and the Earl suit tried to kill him. How much does it take to essentially kill the one person who was your friend with the whole world against you?)

Road mentions, before she disappears, that Neah loved Mana. That he's doing this for Mana. That Neah always encouraged Mana to keep moving forward. Hell, Neah survived even death for Mana. It doesn't make sense that he'd do all of that just to kill Mana, become the Earl, and reign over the world.... because in what way does that matter to Neah?

He hasn't shown any base or material motivations, like desire for power, money, lust, whatever you list, Neah doesn't seem to care. His main motivations have always been Mana, Katerina, and Allen.

I also think it's important to note that the distinction between the Earl and Mana helps Neah place the blame on his....death... on the Earl and not Mana, though I don't think he can't help being bitter and resentful about it.

What I think Neah plans to do, in the end, is to take the Earl from Mana, and save him from a life that Mana, when he was younger, begged to escape from. He lived in terror of the Earl. He didn't want to be the Earl. Neah wants to save Mana, because he loves him, even if it means devouring him in turn.

When Neah first killed the Noah, I think it was to erase the need for the Earl's existence. The Noah are the lambs that the Earl plans to sacrifice (from ark arc, a conversation between Tyki and Road that HOSHINO NEVER REVISITED....) 

However, if there are no lambs, then the Earl can't fulfill its destiny to fulfill whatever their sacrifice was needed for.

And if you kill all of humanity, then the Noah can't be reborn.

So, to sum it up, Neah plans to take the Earl entity from Mana, possibly devouring his soul in the process, and kill them all. I suppose.

I hope this answers your question! I’ve been working off this theory for a while now ^^ despite all...the love behind Neah’s intentions, it really can’t erase the fact that his means are violent. Hoshino truly does gray morality such justice.
