Currently Watching - September
aka The Masterlist
Because I love a good little list - in alphabetical order! 😊
Regularly updated during the month, latest update 25.09.2024
A little link to my favorite bl-tropes-collection 💙
gif-requests are open, but you'll need to have some patience🌼
Here you can find all of my gifs.
At the end you can have a look at what we can expect in September with a MDL link and a link for a trailer (if avaible).
This is guaranteed to contain spoilers!
1. First Note of Love 🇹🇼 (8/12)
Tumblr media
I need them all to communicate more. Not about each other but with each other. And really listen to the other one. Most of the episode was the side couple and one discuss why he thinks they would never work out and the other one tries to tell him why he thinks they could make it work. At least they're talking.
2. I Saw You In My Dream 🇹🇭 (11/12)
Tumblr media
I love these two together. They just work and are cute and you can feel the love between them. Yu is a really perfect first boyfriend. He doesn't push and just accepts Ai as he is. I enjoy their relationship so much. And now I am really curious what will happen in the last episode.
3. Jack & Joker: U steal my heart! 🇹🇭 (3/12)
Tumblr media
I could watch War looking at this ring for an entire episode and I wouldn't be bored. He really nailed this episode with his many personas he played. He is indeed a good actor and such a pretty one too. And I was screaming, when Jack gave the ring to Joker and let him get away. And next week we get some redemption work. Can't wait!
4. Kidnap 🇹🇭 (4/12)
Tumblr media
These two are so cute. I know shit is going down soon, but until then I enjoy those two flirting with each other to the max. Min is already so smitten by Q and Q is realising, his feelings are a little bit more than just friends. I really like it.
5. Word of Honor 🇨🇳 (20/36)
Tumblr media
Do you still believe I'll come back to this one? It is a really good series, but I can't motivate myself to dive into it right now 🙈
Finished in September
Series
Takara no Vidro 🇯🇵
Tumblr media
We had our final today and I loved it! The fact both of them missed each other and communicated this. Taishin likes it when Takara opens up to him, because it makes him feel special and closer to him. And I get that. Takara is a person who doesn't talk much about himself, but who has so much anxiety and Taishin wants to share those burdens, because they are equal, because he wants to take care of Takara too. I started this series without any expectations and with mixed feelings, but it slowly became one of the gems of the week and I was so looking forward to this final episode! A really good 9 out of 10.
4 Minutes 🇹🇭
Tumblr media
This was something else. You really have to pay attention to get this story. I like series with a not that sugar-coated ending and we definiteky got this with 4 Minutes. Not everyone got their happy ending. Even though Great and Tyme got their happy ending together, not everything was good here. That was kinda realistic in such a mystery series. But I must admit, I really liked Korn and Tonkla's ending. It was best for their story. I said what I said. This gets a good 9 out of 10.
Hidamari ga Kikoeru 🇯🇵
Tumblr media
This series... I loved it with all my heart for the first half. And then I just got angry with it for multiple reasons. It is so hard for me to give this a rating. Damn. I bought the mangas because of this series and I read the first ones. The problem is, the story is really complex and that works for mangas and novels pretty well, because it gives the characters depth and well, a character. But it doesn't work like that in a series. Too many subplots take away the growth of the main characters. And if you throw in a new character in the middle of the show, don't make them that unlikable like Maya. She is way more likable in the manga. For me, the second half just doesn't work and it felt incoherent with the character development. They tried to stay too true to the source material. I wished I could love this series from beginning to end, but I couldn't. Overall I give it a 6,5 out of 10.
Seoul Blues 🇰🇷
Tumblr media
I didn't like this one that much. Yes, they had good chemistry, but this whole cheating and evil ex plot was not for me. I don't know why. Usually I don't mind cheating plots and find them kinda entertaining, but here it was not that good. I give it a 6,5 out of 10.
The Trainee 🇹🇭
Tumblr media
Fun thing, even though this was a slow burn and we got a bunch of side stories, I really enjoyed this series! It was funny and entertaining and showed a good character growth for all its characters. That is something we don't get that often in a series. Nothing felt like a side story. They were all important for the plot as for the company. And Jane and Ryan are just cute and precious. I give this one a 9 out of 10.
Happy of the End 🇯🇵
Tumblr media
We got our happy ending. And a time jump, but I think it worked really well with this series. Because Haoran needed the distance to Chihiro. He needed to understand that he isn't the bad guy in the story and that Chihiro was truely happy with him. He needed to heal for his own sake and on his own. I really liked the series, even though it is one of the series with the most trigger-warnings. I am just happy to see them happy in the end, after all they've been through. A strong 9 out of 10 for me.
The On1y One 🇹🇼
Tumblr media
This series gave me everything. A warm feeling in my cold heart. Butterflies in my stomach. A good laugh. Some tears. And a bunch of heartbreaks! Damn! This was such a good ride! Those two, Tian and Wang, are soon to be step-brothers and they're in love with each other. Tien knew this since the first time he saw Wang and we could whitness Wang slowly recognising his feelings for Tian. And we didn't get a happy ending. If you will, this is an open end, but there is no working through these feelings. We just end as devastated as Tian, because Wang has built up his emotional walls again to keep distance to Tian. Because they're will be brothers and that means they can't be lovers. This hurts so bad and good at the same time! And the acting is superb! I love this series so much! A 10 out of 10 for me.
Movie
Short Film
Dropped in September
Cityboy_Log 4.2 🇰🇷
Tumblr media
This is too confusing for me. I don't get the episodes or the seasons and definitely not the plot. They are all friends and the whole cheating part from last season is just forgotten. I guess I will look into it from time to time, but for now, I drop it.
Looking forward to in September

Jasminerva's Updates
Happy New Year everybuddy~!
Just to post a quick update (in case anyone was wondering)!
I'm alive! I've been busy with life, priorities, and "me time", but I am of the living!
I did manage to find time to watch the first two eps of SakaDays - and boy was it ever fun!!! A rushed rush, if you will. Sad we won't get to see Officer Nakase. I hope we get to see Sakamoto fight tooth and nail for Hana-chan's backpack though!!!
Been having trouble with cloud8 motivation! Writing in general, really! The muse, it escapes me, but I won't force it lol. Can't get nothing done if I force myself.
But otherwise on the plate:
cloud8 chapter 5
Gaku NSFW request (just need to make a satisfactory ending)
I have several asks I need to answer - my sincerest apologies for the delay!!! I'll get 'em out soon~ I hope 🙏 wish me luck! orz
A Shinful surprise ;3c
I'm planning on publishing my old stuff on AO3. Thankfully I hoard keep meticulous records. The Lunaescence migration to AO3 will only have post-2015 stuff, and all my stuff is pre-2015 so I may as well! They're all unfinished lmaooo but I figured I'd share. I do want to finish up a couple old projects (both in memoriam my late Tumblr best friend @mochisato).
Hoping 2025 is another fruitful year for me and to all y'all~! Whether it's with your studies or your professional and/or personal goals, I wish you all the love and all the best~!
I would like to write more this year but I'm realistic and happy enough to write what I can, when I can~! (Comments may help lol but I can't force you.)
Womanifest it~! 💅✨
Tumblr media
Personal updates under the cut (don't wanna bore you~ but I wanted to share in case you were interested in my excuses for being busy / interested in me tootin' my own horn - gotta share the wins and positive vibes 💪 #empowered women empower women)!
Tumblr media
Looking back on 2024
✧ I wrote 21k words in published AO3 SakaDays fanfiction. A few more thousands I'm sure if you include all the Tumblr-only stuff. It's not much, but it's honest work! Considering I just came back to writing after 8 years in July 2024, I'd say I did purdy darn good!
✧ My LinkedIn Rewind (with some deets omitted):
Tumblr media
✧ Last year, I did a huge canyon swing by myself! Maybe this year I'll bungee jump or sky dive. Or both.
✧ Was part of several peace forums for Palestine, Sudan, and more. Still shaking my head at the yt people at the table. It's like talking to Trump's nonexistent wall.
✧ I also represented Canada at an international UN conference in New York. Same issues where I'm shaking my head so hard. At least I met some like-frustrated people.
✧ Did 3 talks (2 compensated, 1 global, 1 national). Looking forward to doing more this year!
✧ Took on a new mentee - another woman of colour with huge aspirations!!!
2025 so far
✧ My first policy advocacy letter was selected for International Development Week! I got paid AND they'll publicize it for all to see!!! Hopefully the dang government not only sees it but listens. I did their job laid out all the groundwork for them, so they better!
✧ My new job is about a double income boost. But we'll see what that actually is like after taxes lmao. I don't plan on buying another house, so I'll be buying experiences (travels, food, more food). I've been riding the zero waste / anti-capitalism movement for a few years now, so I'm going to buy minimal merch (I say this now). KonMari that shit.
✧ I'm looking forward to snowballing on my achievements, but not to the point of burnout (again lmaooo god we shall see orz).
Tumblr media
Here's to an amazing 2025~! For those who have struggled thus far, I have been there! You got this~! 💪

HIHI!!! I hope you're good, Puff!!
If you're ever up for it, I'd love to hear how you work and create while dealing with ADHD. I got a confirmed diagnosis just yesterday (though I've been suspecting it for a long time) and it'd be wonderful to hear how you cope with the struggles it provides, or even discuss any benefits you've discovered.
If not, no worries!! Thank you for reading this, Puff!!
<3
oh god I feel so bad every time this question comes up because. I can't really tell you how exactly I've been able to do it LOL Congrats on getting your assessment, I actually just got paired with a new physician the other day and am now pursuing medication for my own ADHD struggles as well! I got diagnosed with 100% combined ADHD yaaaaay!
Short answer to your question: very very carefully! Because despite the work I put out, I am still VERY prone to burnout. While on the surface you all see me putting out regular updates of Rekindled, underneath that are projects that have fallen to the wayside because my brain just said "nah, I don't wanna play with you anymore" and that sucks! And I don't want Rekindled to wind up that way either!
Recognizing my limitations and making accommodations where needed has definitely helped. Changing my update schedule from once a week to once every two weeks, working with an assistant, learning which battles to fight and which ones to pass on, etc. Obviously out-of-pocket things like having an assistant aren't options for everyone, but getting to work with Banshriek has really opened my eyes to how much I was putting myself through with when I was flying solo. I have that bad habit of taking on way too much for myself, thinking that I'm capable of being everything within a project and fulfilling every role, but that's exactly how folks like us wind up getting burnt out and falling out of love with our projects. So I've definitely learned to appreciate collaboration more in that regard, both for the sake of "carrying the load" as well as giving me another voice to give input and feedback.
But when that's not an option, definitely make sure to pace yourself. There's so much misinformation about what makes a "successful" comic and normalization of extremely unhealthy working habits that it makes people think they're not allowed to make comics unless it's a 50+ panel a week ordeal. Update on a schedule that works for you, people appreciate consistency above all things, even if it's only a page a week or a few pages a month, that's more than enough.
You also absolutely need to make sure to rest. Proper rest, no thinking about the next page or the next update, just go out and exercise or hang out with friends or do something that gets you away from your usual working area and also provides you with stimulation. It's good for both your mental and physical health. I know with ADHD it can be very tempting to just pour every bit of yourself into a project right off the bat because you're so excited and full of BEANS, but that's just the dopamine demon talking! Don't let it tempt you into spending all of it in once place! If you do that, that's when you'll wind up burnt out and taking breaks that you can't recover from! It's a marathon, not a race!
When it comes to my own experiences, I really just love drawing comics. If it wasn't Rekindled, it would be anything else. That made it 'easy' to turn it into a habitual routine, but that's only because to me, drawing comics is the escape from the more boring shit I have going on in my life. This means I have to balance it carefully so that it doesn't become too much of a job or an obligation. There are definitely times when that balance tips, when the last thing I wanna look at is whatever episode I'm working on, and when I find myself crunching on pages with 2 days left on the clock before an upload.
The important thing is not to get yourself down over the failures and keep moving forward, even if it's not as fast a speed as you were hoping for. We're often really hard on ourselves to put out 150% on everything we do, but if 150% were the norm, it would just be 100%, y'know what I mean? And even still we're not designed to put 100% in every day, because some days we'll only have the capacity to offer up 30% - 30% is 100% on those days. Be kind to yourself <3

--
The clock on the wall ticked away the early hours of the morning, casting long shadows across the quiet corridors of Jujutsu High's dormitory. It was a time when most were lost in the embrace of sleep, a time when the world seemed to hold its breath in anticipation of a new day. But for you, this was not a time for rest.
Restlessness had become a familiar companion, and sleep remained elusive. The weight of your own thoughts bore down on your shoulders, an uninvited guest in the solitude of your dorm room. You tossed and turned, unable to escape the grip of your anxious mind.
Desperation led you to a decision—a decision that would take you through the silent halls to a particular door—the door of Suguru Geto, a man known for his night owl tendencies. You hoped his room held the comfort you sought, even if it meant intruding into his world at an ungodly hour.
As you stood before Suguru's dorm room, uncertainty danced in your heart. Would he be awake as usual, or had sleep claimed even the night owl's restless soul? There is only one way to find out.
With a hesitant hand, you gently pushed the door open, the soft creak of the hinges echoing in the stillness of the night.
"Huh? What're you doing here? It's like... 1 AM," Suguru mumbled, the harsh light from outside disturbing his slumber, his voice drowsy with sleep.
You smiled sheepishly. "Sorry... Am I disturbing you? I can go if you want."
Suguru waved you off, "Nah, it's fine. I was just... trying to sleep, that's all. You need something?"
You chuckled sheepishly as you entered his dimly lit dorm room and settled down on the corner of his bed. "Nothing in particular. Just can't sleep, is all. You're always awake at this hour, so I didn't think twice about not going, but I guess this was the day you decided to sleep early. Sorry again."
Suguru raised an eyebrow, looking around his room, slightly puzzled. "Don't worry about it. But, uh, what are you doing just coming into my room?" he asked, his curiosity piqued.
You shrugged, trying to play it cool, but it was clear something was bothering you. "It's really nothing, Suguru. It's just my insomnia acting up again."
Suguru sat up, leaning forward, concern etched on his face. "What's wrong? Come on, don't play coy with me. I can tell something's bothering you."
"Look at me," Suguru said sternly, using his assertive voice.
Pouting, you sighed like a child caught red-handed and slowly turned to face him, avoiding eye contact. "What?"
"Look," Suguru repeated, still using his stern voice. He reached out, gently grabbing your chin, forcing you to meet his gaze. Suguru gave you a smirk before leaning back. "So... come on. What's been troubling you?"
"It's really nothing, but if you're so itching to know..." You sighed again, allowing yourself to get comfortable on his bed, even going as far as resting your head on his lap before opening up. "I was just thinking about stuff while I was in my dorm room, and one thing led to another. Well... I found myself overthinking stuff again. Like, I love the idea and potential of love, but when it comes to actually being in love with someone and staying in love with them... I can't bring myself to believe that I'm capable of such a thing, especially given my history of exposure to toxic and abusive relationships. That thought terrifies me. I want to be able to love and receive love, but what if I'm bad at it? What if I hurt the person?"
Suguru's face flashed in your mind, as he was your person of interest, but you'd never really acted on it out of fear that you might hurt him. "Never mind. I told you, this isn't something to worry about. It's just me being dramatic and pessimistic. Don't worry about it, Suguru."
Suguru thought for a few moments, his gaze fixed on you. "You know, I never knew you thought about these things. Well, if you really want my opinion, I think you're fine. I don't see it as being dramatic at all. Your feelings are entirely valid, and it's not your fault for having these thoughts, given your experiences." He chuckled softly and patted your head. "But I also know you're someone capable of both. You're a good person, and I'm sure you know how to love."
You chuckled humorlessly, "You're just saying that, Suguru. But thank you; I appreciate the effort." You laid down more comfortably on his lap, finding solace in his warmth. "Talking about this without drinks is so funny and embarrassing. I never thought I'd spew stuff like this sober."
As you lay your head on Suguru's lap, a comfortable silence settled between you. The dim moonlight filtering through the curtains casts a soft glow in the room. Suguru's fingers found their way to your hair, gently combing through the strands as he began to speak.
"Y/N, you underestimate yourself. Love is a complex thing, and it's perfectly normal to have doubts and fears about it. But it's those very doubts that make you human. It's those vulnerabilities that make you capable of the deepest, most genuine love," Suguru said, his voice warm and soothing. "I've watched you from afar, and I've seen the kindness in your heart, the way you care for others, the way you listen. I know you're capable of love." Your eyes met his, and there was something in his gaze, an intensity you couldn't ignore. "I could say the same about you, Suguru. I've seen it in the way you've protected those dear to you and in how you've always been there for me." Your voice trembled slightly as you carried on. "I've admired you for a long time."
Suguru's fingers stilled in your hair, and he looked deep into your eyes. "You've admired me...?" He trailed off, his voice soft but tinged with surprise. You nodded, your heart pounding in your chest. "Yes, Suguru. More than that, actually, I... I've had feelings for you for a while now. I just never had the courage to admit it, especially when I was convinced that I couldn't love anyone."
A gentle smile crept across Suguru's face, and his fingers resumed their tender motion in your hair. "Y/N, you have no idea how long I've wanted to hear those words from you. I've been harboring these feelings for you, too, afraid that you didn't feel the same way."
Suguru's voice then softened even more, and his gaze held nothing but sincerity. "But please, don't worry about hurting me. I wholeheartedly trust and believe in you. I've seen the kindness and warmth in your heart, and I know that love isn't about one person doing all the work. It takes two to tango."
As you gazed into each other's eyes, the unspoken sentiments between you seemed to hang in the air, a tangible tension filled with anticipation. Suguru's fingers left your hair to gently cup your cheek, his thumb brushing lightly over your skin. The kiss that followed was soft and tentative, yet it carried a rush of warmth and a sense of long-awaited fulfillment. If someone stumbled upon the two of you, they'd probably find it adorable—like characters in a movie, finally realizing their feelings. The kiss marked a significant turning point, a sign that this slow-burning romance was finally moving forward.
Suguru eventually pulled away, but his gaze remained locked on yours, emanating warmth and longing. "Y/N, you are more than capable of love, and I want to demonstrate that to you. I want to be the one to prove it."
Your heart swelled with emotion, and you nestled even closer on his lap, burying your face in his chest while mumbling a soft thank you. Suguru's arms wrapped around you protectively, and his voice, already soft, sounded even more loving as he whispered, "You're welcome. It means a lot that you've entrusted your feelings to me."
-
Days turned into weeks, and your journey with Suguru had become a steady progression. You cherished every moment you spent together, learning more about each other and growing closer with each passing day. Your feelings deepened, and you both discovered the joy of sharing love with one another.
One evening, while you sat on Suguru's dorm room floor, surrounded by books and notes, he gently placed a cup of your favorite tea in front of you. You looked up and smiled, touched by his thoughtfulness.
"Y/N, there's something I've been wanting to do," Suguru said, his voice filled with anticipation.
You tilted your head, curious. "What is it?"
He reached for a book and opened it to a marked page. "I thought we could read together," he suggested with a playful glint in his eye. "We can take turns reading out loud. It's a way to share something new."
You nodded, captivated by the idea. "I'd love that."
As the two of you took turns reading, you found yourselves lost in the words of a story, sharing laughs and moments of quiet reflection. It was a simple yet meaningful way to strengthen your bond, and it felt like a promise of many more shared adventures to come.
In the weeks that followed, you both continued to grow as a couple, taking your time one step at a time. You embarked on more shared activities—exploring the city, discovering new cuisines, and even practicing jujutsu techniques together and going on missions together.
One evening, as you lay together on a blanket under the starlit sky, Suguru leaned in for a tender kiss. It was a kiss filled with love, and as you pulled away, he whispered, "I love you, Y/N."
You smiled, your heart full of affection. "I love you too, Suguru."
Suguru's eyes sparkled mischievously, and he couldn't help but tease you gently. "Told you you're more than capable of loving someone."
You chuckled, leaning in to place another soft kiss on his lips. With a playful glint in your eyes, you retorted, "Well, maybe I just needed the right person to come along and prove me wrong."
Suguru's laughter was as sweet as the night air, and he replied, "I'm honored to be that person, Y/N." He leaned in to seal your banter with another affectionate kiss.
It was a trait you'd discovered early in your relationship: Suguru was incredibly clingy and affectionate, and he had no reservations about showing it.
And as the two of you lay there, beneath the vast canvas of stars, you knew that your love story was just beginning.

some blog updates ...
i feel like i need to get a couple of things off my chest before the new year starts and if you're an avid reader of my fics, there are some things you might want to know :)
progress might be slow, but i'm taking the initiative to start posting more. i've been considering leaving this blog or going on hiatus for a while now for a number of reasons. for starters the amount of followers and readers i have is something that not only motivates me, but scares me as well. while taking a long look at my blog, i personally have a lot of issues with the way i write and the repetitiveness of it, and i hate disappointing people, which is why i haven't posted my christmas series yet. you all are aware that i am a virgin, but i'm also asexual and so i struggle with writing smut a lot as well as keeping up the motivation to write smut. i feel like i don't know what i'm doing and despite trying to watch porn for ideas, i really can't describe much beyond oral or fingering. yet still, i love this blog and can't bear to abandon it, especially after i took a long look at the interaction i've had so far and the thought of deleting your messages and losing that is something that actually terrifies me. so i won't be leaving, i'll be instead making a few changes to keep up interest from your ends as well as mine.
i'm going back to posting all blackpink members instead of just jennie. i love jennie, but i've been starting to get bored of writing the same kind of smut and the same tropes for the same person over and over again (the literal definition of insanity), and to help with that, instead of overwhelming myself with all girl groups, i want to start with just blackpink. but do know the prospect of all girl groups is open and i will be making the switch by next year at most or maybe sooner!
but visual content will be multistan! all banners, icons, bios, locs, aesthetics are not going to be limited to jennie or blackpink!
i will try to be more engaging and i request the same of you all. your likes, reblogs and asks are the reason i do this. if i wanted to keep content to myself, i wouldn't have a blog. and so if you guys like something i put out, just commenting "nice" even if you don't want to like or reblog is something i'll appreciate :') in turn i'd love a list of blogs or fics i can follow and read and i'd really love to make some writer friends that i can do fics or games with :')
thank you to whoever's read this far! i also want to mention again, that this blog will be going through a full revamp: username, theme, posts, etc. so those of you sick of my ass please do keep that in mind for 1st jan 2025. it'll also be my 3rd year on this blog so i'm looking forward to a wonderful new year of all you lovelies <3

(Sup sup, sorry for the very very VERY late update. So here we go!)
Oubing Avatar Au
A New Danger Awaits!: The Tiger Emperor of the East
CHPT. ?¿?¿?: The Fog of Lost Moments
Contains some elements that were inspired by Love Game in Eastern Fantasy; EP: 10)
Color Coded Names
Nezha Ao Bing Sandy Pigsy Tang Sanzang
Waking up in darkness was terrifying. Especially in nightmares. You feel as if you are not stable onto anything. Body and feet dangling in the air as you feel lightheaded.
Its frightening
At least that's what Nezha thinks.
Tripitaka reminds Nezha and Ao Bing that sometimes memories from Yin & Yang would surface. With a frown he tells them that sometimes those memories can turn into nightmares. Or perhaps a dream.
And Nezha dreams.
He dreams and dreams and dreams.
-
.
.
.
.
"So you are that puny human that is my reincarnation? And I'd thought I'd look worse." A deep voice rumbles in the darkness.
Nezha eyes the darkness warily. He doesn't know this voice. He doesn't even know if this was demon or perhaps a spirit.
"I can guarantee you mortal that I'm not a demon nor a spirit. Though I am inbetween."
Two eyes. Identical to his, but more dark and monster-like.
A person sits crist-crossed. Sharp teeth locks in a grin as two arms are crossed upon their chest. Another two are placed on knees. And the other are holding hold a spear and a golden wheel.
Long, dark wavy hair flys freely. Unkept, improper, however gives the energy of chaos.
One thing stands out.
A golden and red aura, screams chaos, on the forehead of the- creature?
The Sigil of Yin. Bigger than Nezhas own, but with more detailing colors decorated on it.
"What?-" Nezha gasps out. This is his past life??? This man? Creature? Spirit?? is literally bigger than him!
"Let's spare the introductions." Yin says as he looks bored at of his mind. However, they were seriousness in his eyes. He glares at Nezha, almost as if Nezha was clueless to something that Yin would know.
Yin buts one of his hands on his chin, the elbow resting on his knee as he leans forward to Nezha.
"Listen well and listen clearly. Because I'm telling you this once." The bored tone is now placed with a tone of anger, concern, worry, knowing of something bad.
"He. Has awoken. If you don't get your friends, yourself, your pearl- my pearl. Who knows what kind of shit hes skimming. Fuckin bastered. Thousand years later and his pinning ass is still after my pearl." He almost says in a jealously, possessive tone.
"W-who??" Nezha shouts, Yin let's out an annoyed groan as his body leans back. Tattoos of fire and scars revealed.
Six arms grasp onto Nezhas shoulders. Almost shaking him with a force of an earthquake.
"Uh!- C'mon the memories that I have been giving you not enough????? Its the greedy bastered of the East! Ti Jiu!"
Ti..
Ti...
Jiu....?
(P.S. Can I uploaded all my asks to a fic collection on my AO3? I promise I will give credit. Its just that I wanted to create a collection of this.)
(P.S.S. I wanted Yin to have more of a rough appearance to that of a human. With more monstrous like features. He likes to display his scars to show his strength plus Yang likes it. While Yang has more human-spirit like appearance. Plus Yin likes to cuddle and play with Yang long hair. I sadly don't remember which reincarnation is which. So, Yin = Nezha, Yang = Ao Bing).
(P. S. S. S. One of the headcanons I have for Oubing Avatar Au is that Yin/Yang story is known throughout the mortal & spirit realm. There is only a single verison because it was rumored that a person's face was disfigured after trying to change the story. People believed it to be a curse, so there wasn't any other tales only then the original one.)
(P. S. S. S. S. One of Yin's many enemies was the Great Immortal Monkey Warlord [Wink* Wink*].
(Kk that's all. Have a good day!)

So sorry again for taking SO LONG to respond to this DDD: It's year end which is always an insanely busy time at work for me. Add in the Holidays and a kid and I have zero free time to sit and write a response lol
Firstly, LOVE THIS! :DDDD
Secondly, Yes go ahead and post to Ao3. But yes please give credit to my Avatar AU :D Yours is like a spin off of it and I am LIVING FOR IT!! Also I hope you don't mind I still want to write your idea about the whole jealous rival reveal in my AU (if I ever get enough time D:) and I will credit you, but is that ok??
You are correct Yin is Nezha since Yin does stand for chaos whereas Yang is Ao Bing as Yang stands for Order and I figure that fit the bill for the demon/celestial pearls.
Regarding your backstory and Yin and Yang design ideas please go wild!! Make this your own spin off :D so please dive in and play around! I just can't wait to see where it goes :DD And if you have any questions or want to bounce ideas PLEASE LET ME KNOW! I love this AU so much so I'd love to keep gushing about it!
I will add this though since I meant to reveal this in the latest installment (that I haven't finished <.< I'm sorry WIPs) but what Ao Bing did to the one horned demon in Bending Lost was really bad/cruel. He took away his ability to feel content. Which doesn't sound bad but imagine never being able to just enjoy something anymore, you have to either love it or hate it, the gray area is gone for EVERYTHING. Truthfully of the two I actually have Ao Bing as the the one to never fight. He is the silent and deadly of the two. Because change is scary, but prolonged placidity and being able to just make people placid and calm and go with what you want is REALLY OP if used by the wrong person. Anyway I just wanted to give you that fuel to go and use if you'd like >:3
Personally I had it swapped for the designs, Yang was the more animal looking of the two since in the Avatar Universe plain animals are most often times the spiritual ones. Also explaining why Ao Bings spirit form has dragon features wheres as Nezha's is still human. But again please go nuts with your spin off :D I'm just excited someone else loves this AU :DDDD

Hi there, it’s the “Ten Year Itch” anon here!
I know it’s been a little bit but just wanted to provide an update. 😊 So in my last submissions I’d talked about a man who wasn’t local to me, that didn’t end up working out (but that’s okay)!
I know things to on this blog tend to be more on the “not soft” (I’m not sure the best way to put it) so my update may not be a thing most folks are into, which I am sorry for.
I ended up giving in to the thoughts I’ve been having and as a result, I met a man locally and decided to try going on a few dates with him. He’s a total gentleman and very respectful, which I know may be a turn off for some folks but for me has been shamefully arousing. I’ve never been treated so well by anyone, even by women. Needless to say, we decided to become an exclusive couple. 💕
Introducing him as my boyfriend has been a both nerve racking and exciting experience. The looks on people’s faces when I tell them I’m dating is usually surprise and followed by them congratulating. I even formally introduced him to my parents.
We haven’t had sex yet and he knows I’ve never been with a man. He’s been patient and wants to make it a pleasurable, safe experience which I really appreciate (boring, I know). He tells me often how hot he finds it that I haven’t been with a man, and that I’m basically a virgin. He says he can’t wait to be my first and only. We’ve made out plenty, and that usually turns into humping. Every time we get that far I get so wet, he’s even been able to feel how wet I’ve gotten through pants.
Most recently we masturbated together and it was such a lovely experience. It was the first time I’ve seen a man cum in person, and it was so nice to orgasm while laying my head on his chest. I look forward to our first time together and will probably send an update when it happens!
Thanks for taking the time to read this, I know it’s not like the usual content on your blog. Thank you for giving me the courage to give in to my natural desires and accept my role. 💕🌸

Aww, sweetheart! I don't know why you thought I would be disappointed - not every girl needs to get raped into submission, as long as she submits. ❤️
In fact, in some ways, it's sweeter like this. Ten years with a gold star, "resisting as hard as I can, trying to remind myself I’m a lesbian and hate cock"... and then the right man comes along and all of that just naturally falls away.
Some girls have to be forced, you know. Some girls struggle and scream as they lose their gold stars. But you just went around introducing everyone to the man who's going to push his cock into you.
What do you think that tells everyone, when a lifelong lesbian blushingly introduces her new boyfriend? Is it going to help anyone believe that "lesbianism" is real, and not just a phase some girls go through? And when you tell "other lesbians", do you think you're the only one getting wet?
I'm proud of you, sweetie, and so glad I could help. You're going to be such a good example for other girls.
(And do come back and tell us when he lets you trade in your gold star in exchange for being an obedient whore for him.)

Azul Ashengrotto of Royal Sword Academy || Chapter 25: Exploring Ships
Summary:
After a chance meeting with the illustrious Malleus Draconia, Jamil and Azul begin to explore the holographic halls of Ignihyde's booth where they end up striking a deal with the Shroud brothers.
Word Count: 6,005
Notes:
Finally updated this after so long!
If you're an old reader and you're still following this story after all this time, I appreciate you a lot! 💖
To any new readers who might be here, welcome! I hope you like it! ^_^
Tumblr media
Jamil glances at his watch as they walk across the school grounds. “Oh, looks like Ignihyde’s booth is open now. Do you wanna check that out first? The library is closer, anyway.”
“Sure, why not,” Azul shrugs. “I have been looking forward to seeing those projections you mentioned.”
Jamil nods, leading the way to the library.
A few quiet seconds pass, and Azul looks at Jamil thoughtfully. "What do you think Malleus could possibly do to me? Does he have such a reputation here that you think he might harm me in some way?"
Jamil sighs and fidgets uncomfortably with his uniform. He didn't think Azul could read his silence so well. "It's more like I don't know enough about him or Diasomnia to gauge how trustworthy they can be. Their dorm's always been the most mysterious out of all of us."
"Then perhaps you can come with me, if he ever does invite me to hang out. I'll make sure to introduce you as my boyfriend so there aren't any misunderstandings." There's a playfulness in his voice, but Jamil can tell that he means it.
"Huh?" Jamil looks at him in surprise and nervousness. "Oh, er... I wouldn't wanna intrude. He could get peeved about me suddenly being there when he hasn't invited me specifically…” He pauses to contemplate. On second thought, perhaps this would be for the best. He wanted to know Malleus more, and this was his opportunity. “You know what? All right, I'll come with, as long as you're okay with it.”
"Of course I'm okay with it. Why wouldn’t I be?"
Jamil feels his face warm at the sincerity in Azul’s smile, and he looks away to fidget with his cuffs. “What did you and Malleus even talk about? What sort of topics was he so avidly fond of while chatting with you?”
"He told me about their mascot, the Eastern Dragon. Then he talked about his fondness for ruins, and he corrected me when I called a grotesque a gargoyle," Azul says in amusement. "Apparently he could sense the traces of Blot on me, which was a little unsettling in an embarrassing way, but it's fine now," he shrugs.
"He said he could smell the ocean on me, and he knew I'm a merfolk, which brought up his desire to see underwater ruins. I mentioned that there are such shipwrecks in the Coral Sea, as you know, and he asked if I could show him around someday. He even offered to shift into his dragon form for that tour when he sensed my hesitance to be in my merform," Azul chuckles shyly. "Then he asked if I had any interests that might seem mundane to others, like his gargoyle fascination, and I told him that I collect coins. And the conversation ended with him asking whether I'd visit here frequently, and he gave me the pearl and told me to keep in touch. He called me brave for not being intimidated by him, and said something about wondering how far my bravery can go, but I think he was merely joking," Azul smiles.
Inside his head, Jamil was practically quaking.
Malleus was making moves way too smoothly and quickly than he expected, even when their starting topic had been a strange one.
"... Wait, you collect coins?" Jamil asks, blinking out of his shock.
"Mm-hm," Azul nods. "I first saw a gold coin in an old shipwreck. It caught my attention because we didn't use such currency underwater, and at the time I didn't know what it was. But the engravings were beautiful, so I kept it. And I still collect rare coins, especially those with elegant designs that they don't reproduce anymore" he stops and smiles sheepishly. "I'm not boring you with this, am I?"
"Not at all," Jamil reassures him, finding this side of him honestly cute. "How many do you currently have?"
"Twenty-eight, though only a handful of them have particularly intricate designs. Most are only valuable because they're no longer in circulation, though that isn't to say that they don't have a certain beauty still. I acquired more than half of them in my hometown, because at some point shops had started selling them as novelties and tourist attractions.”
Jamil hummed thoughtfully. “Would you be interested in coins from other countries?"
Azul nods. "Of course. I currently have several, though none from the Scalding Sands. So if you ever come across one and wish to be relieved of its burden, you know where to find me," he smiles. “Do you have any obscure hobbies that I don't know about?"
"Window-shopping and guessing item prices without looking at their tags?” Jamil playfully shrugs.
“Then I'd like to go window shopping with you sometimes,” Azul says with interest. “Perhaps you could teach me a few shopping tricks.”
“Sure, after Halloween Week we could hit up some shops in town.” Jamil wonders if it was normal for him to feel excited about doing something so mundane with Azul. He's beginning to realize that any activity was something to look forward to as long as it was with him. He cleared his throat to dispel the butterflies in his stomach. "Anyway, I think I have some coins in my room that'd make for a happy addition to your collection. Kalim would definitely have some, too. Are there a lot of princes in RSA, by the way? I'm a little curious about the school's ratio of average citizen to VIP."
"Yes," Azul nods. "Only very few are direct heirs like Rielle and Malleus, though most do come from royal lineages and still carry that title by law. We don't refer to them by their titles at RSA; Headmage Ambrose always encourages us to see each other as equals. The royals don't necessarily outnumber us average citizens, though there are also a large number of students descended from nobility despite not being royal."
"Interesting. Here in NRC, we've got a few nobles, too, but we don't exactly employ an 'everyone-is-equal' mantra. Instead, we operate under a meritocracy, and noble titles don't earn respect unless you've got the skills and power to back it up. Those who are Prefects are appointed because we've either bested the previous one in a duel, became appointed by the previous Prefect, or possessed the closest qualities to the Great Seven our dorm is based on.”
"Oh?" Azul looks at him with a raised eyebrow. "And how did you become Prefect, Mr. Viper?"
"I defeated the old Housewarden in a duel by catching him off-guard after he underestimated me." Jamil explains, proud. "He's a Fourth Year now so you'll probably only see him around during certain school events. He said he was planning on passing the title to me, anyway, but I knew I wanted to show everyone else why I deserved it."
Azul smiles at him proudly. "And you do very much deserve it. No wonder your residents respect you so much. Do you think if I had been your dormmate, we would have gotten along?"
Jamil chuckled. "That would depend on first impressions, wouldn't it? I feel like the first time I'd notice you is if you suddenly collapsed from a heatstroke one sunny day in the dorm. And I would think, 'Wow, why'd they sort a merman to a dorm this hot?'"
A laugh bubbles out of Azul. "I'm guessing you don't have any merfolk residents, then? Hm, I wonder how it would be when I tutor your residents after Halloween. Would it still be as hot around that time?"
"The weather doesn't really change in Scarabia no matter what season it is on campus. We have the weather fairies Crowley enlisted to thank for that." Jamil falls silent for a moment to think. "But perhaps I can call in certain favors with the Headmage to get him to lessen the heat around the dorm whenever you visit. It'd be a real bummer if our tutor's health and comfort was compromised in any way, no?"
"Oh, I wouldn't want to trouble the Headmage and an entire dorm just for my sake," Azul says. "Perhaps I can keep borrowing that spare dorm uniform, and we'll see how it goes. Or I can try to see if I have more breathable or thinner shirts, and maybe I can wear those in Scarabia. What do you think?"
"Whatever makes you feel more comfortable. The honorary dorm uniform will always be there for your use whenever you need it," Jamil smiles, still planning on getting those favors from Crowley. “We're almost at the library. What do you think Ignihyde dressed up as?"
"Hmm," Azul hums thoughtfully. "Would robots be too on the nose? I'm guessing they incorporated advanced technology in their costumes."
"Heh," Jamil chuckles. "Yeah, robots seem like a thing they'd go for, but then Ortho would only have to celebrate as himself and that's no fun now, is it?”
They reach the library, which was bustling with guests. Jamil opens the door for Azul and they find themselves in an elaborate dark forest.
Trees loom above them as a cold mist fills the interior. It was as if the library never existed.
"GYAH-HAH-HAH-HAH!" shouts an Ignihyde student, clad from head to toe in black armor one would see on a knight, the helmet a large pumpkin with blue flames emanating from the inside. "YOU'VE CROSSED INTO THE DOMAIN OF PUMPKIN HOLLOW! STEP FORTH IF YOU DARE!"
Azul looks in fascination at the sprawling dark trees, and at the elaborate knight costume with the flaming pumpkin head.
"Wow," he breathes. "This is amazing. It's like another world entirely. And those costumes look so realistic. What's Pumpkin Hollow?" he asks Jamil.
"Beats me," Jamil shrugs. "I think Idia said it was a movie or something."
"YOU DON'T KNOW PUMPKIN HOLLOW!?" The knight attending the entrance gasps, before muttering. "Talk about uncultured… BUT NO MATTER! YOU SHALL BE LEAVING THIS PLACE SINGING ITS PRAISES OR RUNNING FOR THE HILLS! FOR THE MORE YOU UNCOVER THE SECRETS THESE WOODS AND THIS TOWN HOLD, THE MORE YOU'LL FIND THAT YOU CAN NEVER GO BACK TO THE WAY THINGS ONCE WERE..!"
"Awww, are you supposed to be some sort of scary creature? You look SO cute!" says one of the guests, holding onto the arm of her date.
The Knight sputters. "Wh— FALSEHOOD! THE KNIGHT IS FEARLESS AND FEARSOME AND IS IN NO WAY CUTE! N-NOW STOP LOITERING AROUND AND GET A MOVE ON!"
Azul smiles in amusement and turns to Jamil. "What kind of knight am I, then? A fearsome one or a cute one?"
"A cute one,” Jamil says easily. “Especially if you don't have your helmet on. C'mon, let's take a look around."
Walking through the winding path, sounds of bats flying or an owl hooting fill the area. A carriage even makes its way by, much to the delight of the visitors, who leap out of the way.
Jamil stays in place, telling Azul "Watch this," before the carriage harmlessly passes through them and continues on like they weren't there. "That's what I meant when I told you Ignihyde was using projection mapping," Jamil says quietly, moving to tap a tree. His hand passes through it. "Pretty cool, right?"
"Definitely," Azul grins. "They really must be a dorm of technomagic geniuses. There is so much potential in this kind of 3D mapping. Recreating historical sites for Magical History classes, setting up obstacle courses or various terrains for Knight Class, architectural planning, the possibilities are practically endless…" he says as he slowly walks forward and looks around.
"You are correct, Azul Ashengrotto!" Ortho flies towards them, his robot suit decorated like the Knight costume. "And my brother has especially ensured that this 3D model is a perfect replica of the forest in the movie Pumpkin Hollow! Down to the last moss-covered branch!"
"Hello, Ortho," Azul greets him. "It's lovely to see you again."
"Likewise, Azul!" Ortho says cheerfully, then turns to Jamil. "I am happy to see that you two have gotten closer." He floats towards Jamil and circles him once, stopping in front of him.  "Based on your dilated pupils and elevated heart rate as you watched Azul look around at our booth, I see that you have gained even more affection for him, and you are happy about it this time~! I am so glad to see the both of you here," he spins and floats upward, clapping his hands together.
"Ah, yes. Of course you'd notice. Yeah, Azul and I are… together now,” Jamil shifts on his feet, feeling his ears warm at saying the words out loud.
"Ugh," a voice sounds from behind a patch of thick woods. Ortho looks over at it in worry.
"Actually, can you two help me?" he asks. "My brother's going through a lil' bit of an artistic crisis right now."
"Idia?" Azul frowns in concern. "Why, what's wrong?"
Ortho gestures for them to follow him as the crowd dwindles away from their spot. Passing through the patch of woods, they find Idia sitting in a desk in the middle of a small clearing, glaring at the holographic screens right in front of him.
From the screens, voices of the visitors in different parts of the library can be heard.
"Look at this gorgeous light show! The way the colors undulate is so magical and romantic!" a woman's voice is gushing.
"I can hear birds chirping. It's like we're really in a forest! So relaxing,” a man says in response.
"Look, don't those pumpkin vines projected on the bookshelf look like they're making a heart?" another visitor states to their partner.
"Where, now? Oh! You're right! That's so cute!"
Idia scowls, tapping an agitated finger against his desk. "Ugh... 'Romantic'? 'Cute'!? Are we even looking at the same foggy forest?! It's just like the highly-regarded horror movie Pumpkin Hollow! It's CLEARLY meant to be scary." He turns to Azul, Jamil, and Ortho, looking for fellow sympathizers. "The vines only LOOK like a heart by sheer coincidence! And it's NOT a 'light show'. It's projection mapping. Get it straight, people!"
The holographic screens continue to talk:
"Ooh! A jack-o'-lantern just popped out to talk to us."
"Awww, how precious!"
"Gah!" Idia groans, lurching back against his chair in pain. "You normies and your indiscriminate gushing! If you're all so into cute stuff, what are you doing in a dark library full of books? Go home and make trendy food hack videos for MagiCam, or whatever it is you casuals do!"
"You did a brilliant job with the place, Idia," Azul says in encouragement. "If you want to make it scarier, perhaps add some ominous music and holographic wild animals? Though I must say that your booth is already quite impressive, and the visitors love it, regardless of whether they find it scary."
"But they're liking it for all the wrong reasons!" Idia hisses. "It's an embarrassment to the Pumpkin Hollow community! What if this is how people learn about the franchise and they build up this whole idea that it's a bunch of cute and fun nonsense!? It would be a disservice to the original film, and an offense to film aficionados everywhere!" He suddenly stands up. "Yup. That's it. I'd be better off shutting this whole operation down!"
"What!?" Jamil blinks in surprise. "You can't just do that!"
"The state of the booth is up to the Prefect's discretion in the end, and I was the one who came up with all of this. That means I can be the one to put a stop to it before it gets any worse."
Ortho, meanwhile, looks a little sad but says nothing.
Azul exchanges worried glances with Jamil.
"Wait, Idia," Azul steps forward. "Are you sure you want to do that? If you shut this booth down, then people won't know about Pumpkin Hollow at all. It's only the second day of Halloween Week, can you really give up so early? What would other fans of the movie say when they find out that you had the chance to spread awareness about that incredible film to hundreds of people every day and you didn't? I haven't seen the film but, did any of the characters there give up a mere 10 minutes into meeting an obstacle?"
Idia pauses and gives a wary look at Azul. "No, but the characters who didn't give up got cut down and died a horrible gruesome death."
"Azul has a point, though," Jamil crosses his arms. "How can you call yourself a true fan of the movie if you're giving up just 'cause a few visitors don't see it the way you want them to yet? That just means it needs more tweaking, right?"
"Not a true fan?" Idia grimaces. "Look, I get what you guys are trying to do, but ain't it just better if we call it quits now before we crash and burn and inevitably regret this choice for the rest of our dumb lives?"
"Ah, that's a shame," Azul laments. "And here I was hoping for the Pumpkin Hollow experience. I was looking forward to it as soon as your residents in costume welcomed us."
"Oh no!" Ortho adds. "Can you really refuse a request from a potential fan, Big Brother?"
"And Ortho seemed to be enjoying the booth too; he was so happy earlier. And now, well, I don't think I've ever seen him so sad," Azul looks at Ortho pointedly.
Ortho floats down and hovers a mere inch from the ground, hanging his head despondently. "I very much wanted to experience Pumpkin Hollow on Halloween with my brother. We watched the film many times, and you always told me that on Halloween we'd get to experience it ourselves, right, Big Brother?" He looks up at Idia with the most impressive puppy eyes that Jamil had ever seen. Are those tears pooling in his eyes? How?
"You promised that we'd get to share Pumpkin Hollow with our friends and everyone else, right?" Ortho adds.
"Agh, Ortho, you know I can't say no to you, but…" Idia falters. "I… well… Fine. I'll keep the projection mapping on, but I'm gonna need an outsider's point of view on how we're gonna make this scarier while staying true to the movie's integrity."
Ortho gasps. "Like a movie night tonight of Pumpkin Hollow followed by a brainstorming session?" He excitedly turns to Jamil and Azul, clasping his hands together in plea. "Can you pleeeeeeeease make time to do this and help us out? Brother and I already know what Pumpkin Hollow is."
"And you guys started it," Idia mumbles. "I think it's only fair if you follow it through, or I'm backing out for real."
"Tonight?" Azul looks worried. "I'm not sure if I can stay the night for the second consecutive time…"
"Please, Azul!" Ortho zooms over and takes Azul's hands in his. "My scans show that you're still recovering from an illness, and it has been scientifically proven that a state of happiness speeds up one's recovery! Oh! And hugs! You can cuddle with Jamil while we watch the movie and you'll feel better!"
Azul's face turns a shade of pink. "Um…"
"Right, Jamil?" Ortho turns to him.
Jamil smiles. "Sounds like a plan to me. Ortho can even help persuade your Headmage. He's been pretty successful so far."
"Hang on, you guys are a thing now? Barf." Idia sticks out his tongue.
Azul turns to Jamil in mild surprise. Then looks at Ortho who's still holding his hands and looking at him imploringly with those puppy eyes.
He sighs and relents. "All right. But I have to let Rielle know later. You'll help me talk to Headmage Ambrose?" he smiles playfully at Ortho.
"Yes~!" Ortho soars in the air again and does a backflip. "I have the research prepared to back us up!"
Ortho begins talking to Idia about where they can watch the movie and who else they can invite.
"I don't suppose you have any clothes I can borrow?" Azul mutters to Jamil. "I've been wearing my uniform for more than 24 hours already and I need a shower."
"Sure, you can… borrow my clothes," Jamil answers, only realizing what he was saying halfway through the sentence. The very thought dusts his cheeks red. "We, er… We share the same size, anyway."
"Thank you so much, you two!" Ortho happily informs them, holding a stamper. Meanwhile, from behind him, Idia sighs in defeat and gets ready to put his own helmet on. "I'll show you everything this place can offer and give you both the stamps you so rightfully earned!"
Idia starts to lead them around the booth.
"I guess we're watching a movie tonight," Azul says to Jamil. "Have you been to hangouts with the Shroud brothers before?"
"Never," Jamil admits. "I rarely see Idia around, and Ortho usually only shows up to do errands for Idia. There wasn't really much opportunity for friendships to be had. Why? Feeling nervous? Excited?"
"Honestly, right now I'm more worried about asking Headmage if I can stay the night here again. I'm already not used to not doing any work at all, and now it's like I'm taking two full days off. Somehow I feel like I'm being neglectful by spontaneously staying out of RSA."
"Hey, you're not being neglectful," Jamil reassures him. "After everything you've been through, I think a few days of break is more than needed. If you want, I can also go and vouch for you. I've been the one encouraging this to begin with."
"Thanks, Jamil," Azul smiles.
Idia tours them around, showing the details he directly replicated from the movie, even Easter Eggs that he claims not all fans have spotted to this day.
His costume is impressive; the hinges on the armor are silent, but there's a realistic clink of metal every time he steps. The entire armor looks heavy, but Idia doesn't have a hard time moving in it at all, even if he barely does any physical activity as far as Jamil knows.
The air-conditioning seems to be on full blast, making it feel like a cold dark winter's night deep in the forest, the flaming pumpkin heads providing illumination.
They reach the end of the tour and Idia turns to them.
"You both better show up later for movie night and help me brainstorm afterwards, or I'm shutting this whole thing down," Idia says. "Walking around just made me realize how cutesy the visitors still see this place," he shakes his head. "Seriously, how can I work under these conditions?"
Ortho swoops in and takes Azul's booklet. "Let me know if you have any preferred snacks for movie night!" he says cheerfully as he stamps it. "I have uploaded my contact information to your phone." He returns the booklet. "And congratulations on your new relationship!" he says loudly, causing a few visitors to turn their heads and look at them.
Jamil flinches at the strangers' attention and puts his hood up as he says, "Okay, cool, bye."
He hastily tugs Azul out of the library.
"Are you alright?" Azul asks in concern as they walk out of the building.
Jamil sighs in relief and takes off his hood. "Sorry. Yeah, I'm fine... Just not good with public attention."
Speaking of the public, a large crowd seems to be surging around Sam's shop, which is near to the library enough that one can easily see whatever might be going on.
"Whoa, this is a lot of visitors..." Jamil mutters, noticing who exactly is getting surrounded. "Hey, hang on. Is that Ruggie getting mobbed?"
"It seems so," Azul says. "Let's check on him, in case he needs help."
As they approach, they can hear Ruggie saying something to the crowd, though it's a bit hard to understand the words above the chatter of everyone else.
"Whoa, hey, no seriously! I'm not a werewolf, I'm a hyena!" Ruggie's protests fall on deaf ears as the visitors surrounding him ask for pictures or inquire how realistic he's made his costume. The other Scarabia members seem to be watching this in amusement.
The guests aren't doing Ruggie any harm, but Jamil can sympathize with the aversion to this sort of spotlight, so he grimaces in discomfort as he watches the scene unfold.
Someone almost bumps into them, and they stop just in time to see that it's Leona, carrying a bag of snacks.
"Oh, hey." Leona nods at them. "Ashengrotto, right? We met at that stupid royal summit last year."
"Yes. Hello, Your Highness," Azul says politely.
Leona cringes. "It's just 'Leona', dude. Don't be weird." He turns to Jamil. "I thought you didn't like getting tangled with royals? This guy is more involved with royals than I am," he jerks his head in Azul's direction.
"Well, he technically isn't a royal, anyway. And even if he were, he's worth the extra trouble," Jamil mutters. "I have a feeling you know how that feels, don't you?" He gestures to Ruggie. "Leaving him for the vultures at the moment?"
"He tried throwing me under the bus first," Leona nonchalantly shrugs. "Don't worry. I won't let it get too far. Crazy crowd, though, huh?"
"Oy! You know I can see you guys from here, right!?" Ruggie complains from afar.
Leona smiles playfully at Ruggie and gives him a wink before turning back to Jamil. "Nice booth you got there, Viper. Where're you headed off next?"
"Thanks." Jamil amiably replies, ignoring Ruggie. "We're off to your booth next, actually... Right after I get a waffle from Sam." He glances at Azul. "You wanna get one, too?"
Azul hesitates for a moment. "I don't usually eat sweets but… alright. I'm on a break, anyway," he gives a small smile. "Who makes those waffles?"
Jamil returns the smile. "Sam himself. They're pretty good. They got some kind of jam in them that reminds me of raspberry, but something else I can't get a grasp on. Don't think Sam's interested in divulging his secrets. If you're worried about the calories, we can just buy one and split it."
"Aww, such a sweetheart," Leona teases, keeping his gaze trained on Ruggie.
"Are those snacks for your residents?" Azul gestures to the bag that Leona is carrying.
"Hm? Yeah, they deserve it after building our booth the way it is now," Leona answers, still watching over Ruggie. "Don't tell them it was my idea," he adds.
"I'm sure they know, anyway," Azul says with a smile. Then he turns to Jamil. "Look at that, you and Leona are quite similar in being Prefects. You don't expressly show how much you care about your residents, but they still know, and they admire and respect you for it."
Jamil and Leona share similar looks of disdain.
"You saying it out loud is a lil'..." Jamil clears his throat, embarrassed. “Anyway, we're gonna head in,” he says to Leona. “Catch you around, I guess."
As they're about to step into the Mystery Shop, one of Jamil's residents runs out and presents them with a waffle. "Here you go, Prefect! No need to get in line inside because whew! It's a battle in there!"
Jamil stares at him in surprise before taking the waffle. "Have you… been listening to our conversation?"
"Hm? Oh, not me! But I heard word from the others!" he gestures to the other Scarabia members, who give the couple a wave. "We just want to give you both a great experience with the booth! Now be on your way and have fun!"
"Oh, thank you very much," Azul smiles. "I hope you're not having a hard time handling all those visitors. Do you need any help with crowd control?"
"Nope! Not at all!" he shakes his head vigorously. "Just enjoy yourselves out there!" he adds with a grin.
These guys are being embarrassing, Jamil thinks to himself, but nods. "Okay, but if things get out of hand, text me, all right? Don't pretend things are fine for our sake."
"Of course, boss!"
"Geez, they're like a bunch of kids sometimes, I swear..." Jamil shakes his head as they walk along, then he  offers the waffle to Azul. "Wanna take the first bite? You can try and guess the ingredients, too."
"Oh, all right," Azul takes the waffle and admires its design for a moment; a golden brown crow with red jam peeking out through the crust like a jewel on the crow's chest. He gingerly takes a bite, and looks thoughtful as he chews it. "Butter, strawberry jam, and a bit of cinnamon? And perhaps some eggs in the bread." There's some jam on Azul's lips and his tongue flicks out to casually lick it clean.
Jamil stares at the gesture for a second before quietly taking a bite himself, understanding what Azul meant with the ingredients. "Think we can make Sam another judge in the cooking competition?"
"I don't see why not," Azul smiles. "Though there seems to be a growing audience for the competition; I'm getting a little nervous," he says playfully.
"Come now. I didn't see large crowds stop you from defeating me at Quiz Bee before." Jamil teases.
They split the waffle into two equal halves, enjoying the treat and intermingling with the crowd until they find the large stadium rising up in the distance.
"For a dorm full of jocks who didn't seem interested in a celebration, they really went all out for Halloween," Jamil admits, walking through the main entrance to find the entire area submerged in water and sand, resembling a secret island cove surrounded by walls as a large broken pirate ship sits at the side.
Savanaclaw members donned in pirate garb greet the guests coming in with a mighty "Yargh!!!", and they begin to coast around the beachside of the clear blue waters.
"We were shocked when we first saw this for booth inspections,” Jamil adds.
"I'd never seen a shipwreck on land before," Azul says in interest, gazing at the ship. "Actually, this resembles the wreck where I had found my first gold coin. In hindsight, that was probably a pirate ship."
A burst of green light stops them in their tracks, and Malleus appears in front of them.
"There you are," the fae smiles at Azul. "Thank the Seven for my good hearing. How fitting that you would mention your coins, Ashengrotto." He takes Azul's wrist and lifts it, putting a large silver coin in his open palm. "I remembered that I had that among my possessions," he says proudly, gently letting go of Azul's wrist. "I asked Lilia, and he confirmed that such coins were used as currency at the beginning of my grandmother's reign, and have long since stopped circulation even before I was born. I would like you to have it."
Azul stares wide-eyed at the dragon engraved in the middle of the coin, surrounded by indecipherable text that Jamil vaguely recognizes as fae dialect.
"Your Highness, I can't possibly just take something this valuable," Azul tells Malleus.
The Diasomnia Prefect frowns. "I have told you already, there is no need to refer to me by my title."
"Malleus," Azul corrects himself. "At least let me buy it from you."
"Nonsense," Malleus shakes his head. "You are my friend, and that is my gift to you. Perhaps you will think of me whenever you see it," he smiles, gazing in Azul's eyes.
Jamil stares at Malleus in bewilderment, so do a bunch of other people who just watched this guy materialize out of nowhere.
Jamil decides to clear his throat, "Ahem! Um, hi, yeah. I'm here, too."
Malleus looks at him. "Viper. I see you've met Ashengrotto as well. Did you find him at your booth like how I found him at mine?"
"I met him a little bit earlier than that, actually," Jamil answers, squinting at Malleus. "He really must have taken your attention for you to go out of your way and get him a coin."
"Indeed," Malleus smiles. "He indulged me in my talk of gargoyles and grotesques, and it seemed only fair that I give him a token of my appreciation as soon as I took my break from my shift at our booth." He looks at Azul. "Have you figured out how to use the pearl yet, Child of the Sea?"
"Not yet," Azul says, seeming more relaxed now that the initial shock has worn off. "I don't suppose you can just tell me how to use it?"
"Ah, now where would be the fun in that?" Malleus says playfully before looking at Jamil again. "And how did he catch your attention, Viper? To my understanding, you are one of the more elusive Prefects."
"It involved a bit of physical coercion on Floyd's part," Jamil answers, making himself relax a little. He doesn't wanna make the conversation weird by being tense. "Then we ended up talking and, well, Azul took me by surprise."
Malleus seems interested, and he turns to Azul. "You really are something else. I must get back to my booth now," he leans forward to be eye-level with Azul. "But I very much look forward to seeing more of you. Ashengrotto~." The corner of his mouth turns up in a smile, and his eyes are twinkling. He vanishes in another burst of green light, provoking small gasps and stares from the visitors passing by.
"Is that part of the attraction?" a teen visitor asks a Savanaclaw member.
"Ugh, no. In fact, it should've been part of the attraction to jump on that lizard intruder! Next time he comes here, we'll be ready for him!"
Jamil ignores them and raises an eyebrow at Azul. "He's being quite forward for a 'friend' you just met, huh?"
"I suppose, although several of my schoolmates approached me that way, especially after Rielle and I started to clear up that we're not dating. People tend to be intimidated by those directly in line for a throne, and I think they got less intimidated of me when I said that I'm not dating a crown prince, and they were more inclined to start a friendship," Azul shrugs obliviously.
"Uh-huh," Jamil says, unconvinced. "And how did those friendships go?"
"They didn't really last, now that I think about it," Azul furrows his eyebrows. "We're acquaintances now, at most. Our interactions just became scarce over time. Though Malleus seems to be more active than the others in maintaining a friendship. I certainly hadn't expected him to try to find me so soon after we had just met, and with a gift, at that." He looks curiously at the coin in his hand.
Jamil glances down at the coin too, suspicious. "Gifts from the fae are quite powerful. I gotta warn you to be cautious in how you deal with this guy. They can also be dangerously temperamental, so I hope you won't be digging yourself a hole with your friendly nature."
Azul smiles softly at him and nods. "I'll be careful, thank you. Do you want to check this coin to see if there's anything suspicious?" he holds it up.
Jamil narrows his eyes and casts a spell to glean any magical enchantments cast upon the coin, whether a curse or a blessing.
The coin isn't enchanted at all, it's just an ancient piece of silver with some engravings. There are faint traces of fae magic on it, most likely from being passed around as currency for centuries, but even their madols now have magical traces from being passed around. And that's it.
Jamil sighs. "Well, it's safe, that's for sure…"
Malleus certainly likes to move quickly, though. He should probably just straight-up tell him that Azul's not available.
But would that sound too possessive? There's still a chance that Malleus really just sees it as a potential friendship.
Jamil decides to push the thought aside for now, and they make their way towards the pile of gold surrounding the ship.

chapter 6: fate
Tumblr media
hao was knee deep in idol life. it was like there was an event every second for them to attend. even when he did have some free time to go out, there were certain fans interrupting his peace. he didn't leave the dorm as much if it wasn't for a schedule.
rina continued her regular somber life. if she wasn't working a shift at the convenience store, she was either hanging out with haemin or laying around doing nothing. her shifts became increasingly more boring without hao's regular visits with the promise of a fun night. she thought of texting him about his whereabouts, but she knew how hard it was to be an idol. she felt like it'd be insensitive to ask for his time when he has so little.
despite this, she still would send him good night texts as usual. receiving late responses and apologies alongside them. she tried not to take it to heart since she knew he was genuinely busy.
we haven't even known each other for long, why would i feel hurt by this?
ever since she got closer to hao, she slowly began to suppress her feelings for him. sure, she did like him before she knew he was also someone she would become fan of. but, she thought someone like him would never go for her, so what's the point of continuing having a crush on him?
she liked to think the scarce responses wouldn't make her feel bad, but they did. she beat herself up about the fact that she even liked him in the first place. was there even a point of trying to get close again?
rina was spending the day with haemin walking around the city.
"what is wrong with you?" haemin nudged rina. she had noticed her off behavior the past few weeks. she seemed more monotone and less lively.
"what do you mean?" rina hadn't noticed just how different she was acting. she was becoming bored of living the same day on loop. she  met someone new that made her look forward to things she would otherwise, but he wasn't there anymore. "i was just zoning out."
"come on, let's do something fun. how about bowling." haemin pulled rina's arm towards a nearby bowling alley. she didn't protest it, after all she did enjoy bowling. rina was the most grateful for haemin. if it weren't for her, rina would probably be a mess. they had been the best of friends since middle school. if there was anyone that would always have her back, it would be haemin.
Tumblr media
they played several rounds of bowling and had all types of foods. "are you not embarrassed that i'm so much better than you?" haemin bragged.
"i don't know if you hit your head, but i quite literally beat you."
"well i'm the winner in my heart."
rina dismissed herself to the bathroom to wash her hands. there was a narrow hallway that led to the bathrooms. she could see the figure of someone in the distance so she pulled out her phone, pretending to use her phone while only on the weather app. while not paying attention to what's ahead of her, she bumped into the person, her phone falling out of her hand in the process.
"sorry!" she looked up. "hao?"
"rina!" a smile immediately spreading across his face.
"wow, i didn't think i'd see your face again." rina joked.
"i'm sorry, i was so busy, i should've updated you more. i hope you're doing well."
"no, you don't have to apologize. i understand you're busy. i mean, it's not like you have to spend time with me anyway." rina shrugged, but on the inside she felt like her body was on fire.
"but i want to spend time with you." the burning sensation in her body was quickly replaced by butterflies in her stomach. "we should catch up my next free day."
that one sentence made her stomach do somersaults and he only casually stood there like he didn't just almost give her a heart attack. "well you know where i am on most nights."
"i will definitely be paying you visits again." he smiled. "i'm missing the strawberry ice cream."
"we could always have our ice cream dates." rina mentally slapped herself. she did not mean to say dates, well at least not out loud. "i mean hang outs." she tried to laugh it off.
"no, i like the sound of ice cream dates better."
footsteps quickly approached the two standing in the middle of the hallway.
"is this her?" yujin asked warranting a hush from hanbin.
so he talks about me
"wait, i remember you!" hanbin recalled her name and face from their last fansign.
she didn't know how to act around them, so she awkwardly swung her arms and forced a polite smile.
"you don't say!" she tried her best not to sound sarcastic, but her awkward smile made it sound extremely sarcastic.
"your.. your phone." gyuvin pointed down at her feet. there was the hao photocard in all it's glory sitting in the back of her phone case. as if the situation couldn't get anymore awkward. she quickly shoved it in her pocket. "thanks."
"well!" hao tried to wrap up the interaction.
"rina, what's taking you so long?" the sound of haemin's foot steps grew closer.
"just a minute!" rina scratched her head. "well it was nice to meet you, bye!" she practically ran off.
"i swear she doesn't usually act like that." hao started.
"i think there's more pressing issues. you didn't mention that she was a fan." hanbin whisper-shouted.
"eh, it's complicated." hao shrugged.
Tumblr media
"rina, you won't believe what i heard." haemin began collecting their belongings.
"and what is that?"
"that girl over there told me she saw jebewon. it must be fate at this point." rina could hear the smile in her voice without even facing her.
"yeah, i'm starting to think that too."
what were the odds of her not seeing hao for such a long time, but bumping into him merely by chance? he's not an average joe. maybe it really was fate. the way he spoke to her tonight made her think that maybe her feelings for him were actually valid. that she wasn't just a delusional fan. maybe he did like her back after all.

okay quick little post with my thoughts on the update. i'm gonna have to go and watch a playthrough at some point bc i zipped through it at 3am and probably missed some stuff in the process bc my brain is Shit but-
i am so very, very intrigued by the yaoqing trio for a number of reasons & i absolutely believe there's some ulterior motives going on as to why j.iaoqiu and m.oze were sent down to the shackling prison beyond "hey we want this mortal enemy of our people under our watch kthanks". i feel like we got a glimpse of one of them with j.iaoqiu already so i'm looking forward to seeing how that plays out. and sending m.oze away in the midst of the fight? yeah, highly sus. they have a plan for sure.
also absolutely love the dynamic between the two of them. i want to sink my teeth into their background so bad. they're clearly highly aware of each other's capabilities and i've touched on this already in dms but like....... i believe m.oze was being truthful when he gave his practical answer of 'no point getting myself killed trying to save him' to j.iaoqiu's capture, but also... he doesn't need to save him. he knows what j.iaoqiu can do. (he's also probably exactly where he wants to be - just a theory, we'll see how it pans out eventually i guess)
some slight negatives based on what we've seen so far:
not enamoured by all of the new characters, which isn't necessarily anything to do with the characters themselves but the writing. y.anqing, the prodigy, getting stamped on again? that's getting real old, hyv. i'm hoping that will be redeemed later but i don't have high hopes for it. i just want to see a glimpse of this prodigy he's supposed to be without him going up against insanely powerful people who are basically playing with him, if anything. let me see what he can actually do on a more level playing field. i'm sure that's what they're trying to do with this weird little rivalry thing with y.unli but it already feels skewed against him from the start and i... hate that.
and the insulting dismissal of everything that happened to the high cloud quintent by saying they "went their separate ways" ????? what the actual fuck ???? now i might be biased bc i love the HQC, but. come on. no, no. a group of people who choose to disband to seek new paths - that is "going separate ways". not a group that is viciously torn to pieces by grief and death and suffering. fuck that one general in particular.
that aside, intriguing plot so far. i love the new enemies (look, i'm a sucker for anything wolf-adjacent), and i'm hoping that bc she's been named specifically a few times, we'll get to see j.ingliu again. please, hyv, please don't disappoint me on that.
and bc i care so very little for march (and find her voice incredibly grating, no hate to the va ofc), i was spam-tapping through all the dialoguue of her swordplay event (except for the bit involving j.iaoqiu bc... well, i'm biased) so i may have missed any lore that might have been dropped in there, but i also found the whole "teach march swordplay" thing very boring in general >_> so i may have to look that up again
i'm reserving full judgement on any of the characters until this little interlude chapter is complete and we've seen everything we're gonna get, but so far i'm fairly neutral on most of them. l.ingsha does seem interesting, i will say, but we've not had enough of her yet to form a proper opinion.

Currently Watching - May
Because I love a good little list - in alphabetical order! 😊
Regularly updated during the month, latest update 30.05.2023
Here you can find my weekly roundup that goes into a bit more detail about each episode.
And a little link to my favorite bl-tropes-collection 💙
This may contain spoilers!
1. Be My Favorite (1/10 on Youtube)
Well...It had some funny parts, but right now I can't imagine how Kawi and Pisaeng get together...I mean Kawi is so head over heels for the girl...But as I said, there are some really funny moments and I had a good laugh.
2. Bokura no Shokutaku aka Our Dining Table (8/10 on Gaga)
Hozumi Yutaka likes to cook and is good at it, but he can't eat infront of other people. Meeting Tane and his older brother Ueda Minoru his life seems to change and he may finally have found what his body and soul were longing for. A true comfort watch right now.
3. La Pluie (5/12 on iQiyi)
Saengtai goes deaf whenever it rains. The only voice he can hear in his head is his soulmate's one. But he refuses to answer it, because Tai doesn't believe in things like love or soulmates. That is until he meets his soulmate for the first time. It is surprisingly good and I am looking forward to this one.
4. My Story (7/10 on Youtube)
Every now and than I like to watch a pinoy-bl. The first episode was a mess and a bit boring, but I have a strong second-lead-syndrome! I love the secondary couple and they just slept together in one bed, but that was so cute! Looking forward to the next episodes!
5. Our Skyy 2 (12/16 on Youtube)
Can I be honest? This isn't my cup of tea...I still watch it, because I hope the next episodes are better, especially the ones I am hoping for (MSP + ATOTS). But most of the dialogues are cringy and cheesy and the stories are...weird or boring. MSP was really good though.
6. Sparks Camp (1/? on Youtube)
Philippines's first gay dating reality show! And it's giving you everything you're looking for! Well at least a bunch of cute and cringy moments! And I am sold!
7. Step by Step (6/10 on Gaga)
Employee meets boss without knowing who he has met and crushes hard on him, just tells him what everyone thinks about the new boss and is just adorably clumsy infront of him. I adore the friend group! I hope we get to see them support Pat a lot. The second episode...difficult for me.
8. The Day I Loved You (9/10 on Youtube)
Go watch this! It is such a good show! So great. I love it so much. I was hit by tthis series with a sledgehammer. Not just how good the production is or the acting, but the theme and plot. Damn! So good. And I can relate to this a little bit too much, but I still love it. Just watch it!
9. The Luminous Solution (1/6 on Gaga)
Every wish comes with a price...We meet Thana and Patis, a couple of over a decade. While Thana tries to holds closeness to his partner, Patis is working non stop at the hospital and doesn't see, that his partner is suffering. And now Thana lost his job and his mother is in depth. One evening he enters a very special café, which only shows itsself to people who are in deep need for a wish. But can you pay the price? As a second couple we meet Mai and Ryou, who become enemies on the first day of school and who will have some obstacles to overcome to be together. And there is Ryous best friend, I guess he has a huge crush on Ryou. How they will end up in the café? I don't know, but I am intrigued.
10. Zenra Meshi aka Naked Dining - Love, Life and Liberation (7/12 on Gaga)
Everybody has their own way to release stress. Ichijo Futa eats naked. When he goes to his dead grandmother's house, he meets Miki Mahiro, who finds out about his eating preference. I guess it is a series about understanding what is really important in life.
Finished in May
Series
Tin Tem Jai (on Gaga)
They say if you don't have anything nice to say, just keep your mouth shut…That's my motto about the series. I really didn't like it that much. 2 out of 10 for me
2. Happy Merry Ending (8/8 on Gaga)
As often with korean bls, this one was soooo short! Just 15 minutes per episode. But it was a good. We meet SeungJun and JaeHyun and when they meet there is not a question left that those two like each other. A wedding singer and a pianist. A wedding singer with social anxienty and trauma. I really enjoyed this drama. A good 9 out of 10 for me.
3. A Boss and A Babe (12/12 on Youtube)
I wasn't a big fan of ForceBook after watching Enchanté, but I think it works in this drama. Cher is getting an internship at a gaming company. In his free time he runs an ASMR channel and the boss is a big fan of his voice (a thing I can't understand) and they start talking in the evenings so Gun, the boss, can finally manage to fall asleep. And then they can start to fall for each other. Most of the times I liked this drama, but it has some flaws. So a solid 7,5 out of 10 for me.
4. My Esports Genius Brother (12/12 on Gaga)
Jiang YiFeng can't feel physical touch, emotions or anything else, he can't taste and he doesn't see colors, which makes him super focused and an exellent gamer. That is until he meets Lu Lin, an idol with too much of everything, especially the potential of becoming violent. YiFeng helps him to calm down and thanks to Lu Lin YiFeng can see colors, taste food and experience the whole palette of emotions. A romance blossoms between these two against all odds and even though it is a chinese censored drama with some almost kisses (the scenes were horrible cut) and a sweet confession scene, we can feel the attraction between these two. I really liked. Just wished it would be a little bit longer! 5 minutes per episode was just a little bit short. But nevertheless sweet. 7,5 out of 10 for me.
5. The Promise (10/10 on WeTV + Youtube)
Okay, I loved it in the beginning. I thought it was a really good drama. But after a while it got repetetive and boring. I wished Nan just got together with Party, because Phu just could get his head out of his own ass. I was really angry at him at times. And there was so much unnecessary drama, especially in the last two episodes. It was just too much. Just a 6,5 out of 10 for me in the end.
6. Watashi to Otto to Otto no Kareshi aka Me, My Husband And My Husband's Boyfriend (4/10 on gaga)
Misaki is married to Yuuki. She nows something is off, because he doesn't really have interest in getting sexual with her. On the day before their wedding anniversary she sees him kissing a man infront of their home. It is her former student Shyuuhei, who also has a crush on her. Now they have to find a way to deal with everything. And their solution...I don't really get in the end. It is kind of an open ending, which is totally fine, but the resolution with Misaki being okay with the situation was kind of rushed? Just a 6,5 out of 10 for me.
7. Love Mate (6/8 on Gaga and Viki)
I am in love with the grumpy-I-don't-believe-in-love-guy and the sunshine-I-fell-in-love-with-you-at-first-sight-guy. The butterflies went wild in my stomach and my heart got all fluffy. Over all a 10 out of 10 for me!
Short Film
At The Moment (on Gaga)
In a not so far away future people can freely choose, which gender they identify as. They have the chance to change their gender once in their lifetime, so they must make the right decision. Of course, there are programs and surveys which will support you on your journey to the right decision. But what is the right decision? What if you were born male and you identify as a male, but you like feminine things and fall in love with another young man, but everyone around you tells you to change into a woman, because it is the most logical next step? We accompany Yi An, on the edge of seventeen and in love with his classmate Zhou Yang Kai, on his way to find out what exactly he is. His best friend, identifying as male and in love with Yi An, wants to help him getting comfortable with the idea of being a girl. But Yi An questions everything around the idea of gender swap and his own sexuality and in the end it is about self-love and to accept the fact who you are and who you love. It is an interesting short movie about the question what attraction, sex and gender is and if it does have to do with gender preferences or sex. A 9 out of 10 for me.
2. Gaze in Silence (on Gaga)
This should be named Obsession. Everyone in this was obsessed. The first one with sex, another one with the thought of becoming the first person's boyfriend and the last one was just obsessed with the first one. A story about a very active young man who likes to have sex with different partners and who is not looking for a relationship. One of his sex-partners wants to become his boyfriend and the situation escalated. But lucky number one has a stalker who films him during his sex-sessions and who now rescues him from the hands of the evil wanna-b-boyfriend. And they have sex while the wanna-b is lying next to them...tied up. A very strange ending, but not bad. A very quiet short film with a lot to say in the end. I liked the way it was shot and that there were no real conversations. 7,5 out of 10 for me.
3. May you stay, forever young (on Gaga)
If you expect there to be much romance or love here, you are mistaken. This was a very depressing and hard to watch film. You could literally feel the emptiness in our main character. It oozed outward from his core. Only the family couldn't see it. First and foremost, the mother. Francis grows up sheltered and is supposed to concentrate on his lessons and especially his piano playing. At least that's what his parents want him to do. He, on the other hand, wants to spend time with his friend Tommy and even secretly starts working a part-time job in the restaurant where Tommy works. The relationship of the two is never clearly defined. What is certain is that Francis likes Tommy. Whether those feelings are reciprocated, I don't really know. And in the end, Francis breaks down and the parents stand helplessly around him, not knowing how to deal with him. And then the movie ends and you're about as helpless as the parents, because we don't know what's going to happen next in Francis' life. But that's what I really want to know! Over all a solid 8 out of 10 for me.
4. So refreshed (on Gaga)
Kim and Choi are two gay friends. Kim likes Choi, but Kim is not Choi's type. So Kim suffers in silence until one night Choi decides to book a middle-aged masseur with a light belly for company. While Kim is out to get the money, Choi has fun with the, in the end, really homophobic masseur. Kim and Choi fight and when Kim is home alone again, he watches the video of Choi and the masseur, he secretly took with his watch, and jerks of...so refreshed! It was really disturbing and disgusting to watch. A 5 out of 10 for me.
5. Old Narcissus (on Gaga)
A story about aging and the struggle with it. A story about beauty and its transience. A story about acceptance and the fact you should really not trust strangers, you don't know shit about! That was one stupid choice you made writer! The moth never would! Still a 7 out of 10 for me.
Movie
Dropped/On-Hold in May
House of Stars
Dropped at episode 3. I really don't like this one. I don't like the acting not the story. It is boring and confusing and just overall not good, in my opinion.
Looking forward to in May
House of Stars (May 1st on iQiyi)
Love Mate (May 4th on Gaga)
Star Struck (May 18th)
Be my favorite (May 26th on Youtube)
The Luminous Solution (May 27th on Youtube and Gaga)
Tie The Not (May 27th on Youtube)
Takumi-kun Series 6: Nagai Nagai (May 27th cinema release, no international release for now)

Oh right I said something about giving my opinions on the expansion so uh, I guess I should start writing them out now.
Obiviously spoilers for the entirety of Dawntrail MSQ!!!
Tbh I don't know where to start iuefhiuefh.
Uhhh graphical update turned out nice! Out of the 3 of us, me and Shu kinda questioned if the update even happened since Hawu'li and Dre were virtually same as before, and Nana (player) kept mentioning how cute Nana (character) looks now. My only complaint is that Hawu'li's eyes are like one or two shades darker than they used to be, and I'm currently kinda debating if I want to bother using fantasia to fix it.
Enviroments look nice, and while I'm yet to go to many of the old areas (I sent Shu to go look at Il Mheg while me and Nana sat in que and it looked very nice), new areas are gorgeous! All of us literally screamed out loud when we noticed that the grass bends when you touch it haha. I'm also personally fan of the little tilt thing mounts do now if you strafe - it's very satisfying and I keep strafing around just to see my bike or flying mount tilt (❁´◡`❁)
As for story: I'm genuely surprised to see posts that some people didn't like it? I wouldn't call it my favorite expansion, but to me the story was good and the characters enjoyable. Only thing I'd complain about is that the pacing is very funky at times: first few areas are fine, then it slows down to a crawl, then speeds up very quickly to again slow down to almost complete halt before things pick up again. I still fail to care too much about the "cowboy area" - it felt very disconnected from everything else. Kinda same with the moblin area, but at least that place had some connectivity to the competition (+ the kidnap plot).
Meanwhile the "blue area" (sorry about the terms iauefhhu I don't have game open rn and I am chronically incapable of remembering any names) felt rushed: we wander in, no one wants to talk to us, then suddenly the big antagonist up till that point just goes "hey uh our culture's fucked, if you wanna change it I'll help". Imo that could've used some more time. Maybe have the Wuk Lamat instance happen earlier, and have the big lizard man think about things a bit longer, just to make it feel like he didn't change his entire worldview in like, half a quest.
As mentioned, cowboy area felt incredibly boring to me and I honestly don't know why. Catboy tribe was fine - I'd rather go spend more time with them. Their whole thing was pretty rushed, and while I have a small feeling that they'll be part of the patch storylines, I'd liked if we had been given a bit more time with them before things went to hell again.
Heritage found, Solution 9 and all that was better paced and the storytelling there was great! Like seeing one of the npcs forget about the old dead lady within seconds felt very horrifying. Shu and Nana haven't gotten that far yet (I finished the story on my own after returning home), but I remember spamming groupchat with "what the fuuuuuck that's so fucked" and stuff like that lol. Attack on Tuliyollal too, I think I have a few screenshots saved of npcs I noticed crying after dead loved ones on the streets right after it. Devs did great job portraying how scary the entire thing was.
What else uhhhh.... oh right the last area. Absolutely gorgeous again, and I do get the lore reasons, but damn does it suck having the areas go all lifeless if you want to finish story. I was looking forward to taking pictures there in the future :/ I did try and take some quick shots everywhere before going forward, but I'm sure I missed something. Probably have to get new game+ to that point when DT gets added there just for more screenshot locations.
This is already getting long but idc I'm rambling about characters too. Erenville sweet baby boy I am so sorry the entire last half became a personal nightmare for you (┬┬﹏┬┬) But we got to see him smile! Like actually smile not just tiny smirks! (I should have screenshot of that too lol) They better not write him completely out after this, I wanna go on adventures with him - something that doesn't leave him traumatized maybe.
Also pushing every Wuk Lamat disliker out of the way to hang out with her more. She was a very fun character, and I loved the fact that she actually went and did things on her own, not waiting around for WoL to save her every time like many of the npcs tend to do. She and Hawu'li are besties now.
Green G'raha Koana was a positive surprise too! Smart and a bit snobbish catboy who's bad with his feelings, but makes effort to learn and grow for his people and sister. Absolutely loved him getting very angry when Wuk Lamat was in danger - nerdy cat can go little feral, as a treat. Definitely added into Hawu'li's ever growing polycule - not into his bracelet yet, but they defenitely kissed during msq and probably started (casually) going out after.
Sphene... I really like her dress lol. Uhh I personally felt she was very sus from the start, but I feel like Hawu'li would've not picked up on those. Her plan would've come as complete surprise to him, and made him very very sad. Hawu'li's very "there's always a way if we just try hard enough" type of person, and being told that it's either having everyone else in the universe die or having the Endless die would've seriously got him feeling down for some time. Being a WoL means killing people to protect others sometimes, he knows that, but still. Luckily he had people there with him, who will keep supporting him, but he'll most likely need a little vacation after all this. (Luckily the Tuliyollali inn room is perfect for that haha)
Aaaand lastly, some random thoughts all tossed in no particular order since I can't ramble in the tags:
"This old man (Ketenramm) has more HD face than all of us combined D:" - me
*him saying something about being more than a guest to Gulool Ja Ja* -> me, quietly whispering in vc: "old man yaoi..."
Whomst the fuck did Zoraal Ja get his kid with??? There wasn't a single other lizard in Solution Nine, and I don't remember seeing any in Heritage Found either. Hell, none of the Alexandria flashbacks show any lizard people either. Did he just get some random hyur lady off the street? If yes then what happened to her? Did she die in childbirth? Got killed by Zoraal Ja for whatever reason?
Tiny jumpscare when milalla lore started saying stuff about "calamity that froze everything" and "came from somewhere else" and I, for a tiny second, feared they'd give some canon lore regarding Sixth and I'd have to go rewrite bunch of things in my own lore for the place. (luckily saved by msq mentioning the most likely came from source)
Happy that they gave us the alpaca mount for free! It's so adorable.
Sad that I had to use 7,5mil gil to get the purple bike mount 😑 I mean Hawu'li is swimming in money since I rarely buy anything (last "big buy" was that golden sheep), but muh money. At least it's a neat mount
They really went "you feel like you aren't needed healers? say no more, heal checks for everyone!". Last time I had to sweat that much on trial fight was Zeromus - DT made every trial pretty intense to heal.
That last trial holy fuck my brain is NOT big enough for it. I somehow survived with only one death (we wiped within like first 30 seconds lol), but god it was so stressful
Dungeons were generally neat, but I noticed a distinct "fuck mages and anyone with long cast times". So so much movement in almost every fight.
"En Avant saves lives" is true for the whm dash skill too. That skill is the best thing we've gotten in ages, it's saved me so many times when I notice I'm in wrong spot at the very last second.
SCREE BOSS! I was so happy when I save it omg. The boss before that sucked but seeing scree made it all better. (Our party immediately went "scree!" in chat lol)
Haven't seen all dungeon drops yet, but craftable/vendor gear is a bit meh. Happy for people who like those Mad Max bondage sets, but I'm not a fan. 98 gear being recolored Ironworks gear was not on my bingo list, but at least the healer top was nice for the few levels I wore it during leveling.
Login ques haven't been too bad! Idk how it goes on NA servers, but on Lich longest que I've seen after the launch (right after launch we had 2,8k que) is like, 40.
Dungeon ques were nonexistent on whm during msq, but now that I'm trying to level dps I regularily get 40 minute waits. Kinda debating if I should just switch to sch and level summoner with that, then swap back and learn to play it on like last dunegon or something.
Fates seem to give like half a mil exp (exp boosted ones give double iirc), so I've just been doing them while sitting in que.
Yet to try picto or viper but they look fun.
Azem mark on the key thing just before the final fight made me immediately think about Eleos coming to help his lovely little shard again 🥺
Koana has very nice jp voice, but I can't shake the feeling I know it from somewhere. Apparently I managed to get a screenshot of credits where his VAs are shown and *jazz hands* his seiyuu is Kaito Ishikawa. So it's probably his role as Iida (BNHA) that I'm recognizing since I've been watching bnha while eating for past few weeks. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Oh right and since I mentioned that N'jinh would go with Hawu'li this time: I'm slowly putting everything together after MSQ but I think he'll come along right from the start. Tural catboy lore doesn't fit him too well lol.

Hi ghost! I'm loving your updates with the eddie-coded guy! I hope all is going well 😊
Here's a mini update for you about my guy. So I was texting him while insanely bored at work today. This man is insistant on getting me to come work with him every time I complain about my job. I have an interview at another place on Tuesday but I told him if it doesn't go well he might get a new coworker. Anyway I was so bored I literally asked him to come visit me today 😂 I told him that I would bribe him with free coffee if he'd visit me. He said it was very tempting. I said that I would also be there but the free coffee is a better deal 😂 he ended up not coming but told me he'd try to come tomorrow night when he gets off work. Am I annoyingly excited about that? Yes. But I will be bored out of my mind cause night shift is always dead and if I have that to look forward to and then think about all night, I will gladly work night shift.
And we're planning on going out to eat on Wednesday and going to the mall and sampling wine at one of the stores there 😂
Earlier in the week my work bestie (and self proclaimed wingman lol and we're kind of wingmanning each other) decided to text the guy even though they do not know each other bc my work bestie said it is getting hard to be my wingman when neither of us are making moves. But like I feel like I'm making moves lol I sent him a picture of that dress and overall I'm trying my hardest here 😂 but anyway literally as soon as work bestie texted him (all he said was "heyo man") I immediately got a text from the guy like do you know him? why is he texting me? and I'm like 👀 idk man I don't pretend to know what goes on in his head. But basically reason I'm telling you this is I think it like maybe sort of a little made him jealous or something? Cause while I was having my obligatory mental breakdown thinking work bestie scared him off and now I have nothing (i overthink and catastrophize. I need to work on this in therapy.) the guy texted me straight up asking me when we were gonna hang out again.
So I have some things to look forward to this week 😊
Love, 🎸 anon
eeeekkk!!!! dinner!! and being visited at work!!! fuck yes progress i’m loving this!!!
but the coworker bestie making him jealous 😭 oh gosh. obviously purposely making people jealous isn’t very healthy (and that’s not what you’re doing at all haha), but there’s just something very hot when they do get jealous because it shows they care 🫠 we dig that in this household
i hope your week is amazing my lovely nonnie and that all goes well with your boy!!!!

Strange New Worlds (Season 2) - Thoughts & Review
I don't think I've been so mixed on a season of Star Trek as I am with this one. The things this show does well, it does extraordinarily well, and when it's on point, it's some excellent television. Unfortunately, the things this show does wrong are doing their damnedest to drag everything else down. Most of those issues stem from the fact that this is a prequel, and the things they're doing with established characters are really fighting against their original characterization. The individual episode quality is also wildly all over the place.
As a result, I can't come to any one conclusion. I liked some parts, I hated other parts, and it's all just a bit of a mess.
Spoilers under the cut.
What I Liked
The show is very well-produced. It looks great -- the production design continues to find a perfect balance between honoring the TOS look while updating and modernizing it -- it's well-directed, well-cast, etc.
Speaking of the cast, this is one of Trek's strongest group of actors. I particularly want to shout out Christina Chong as La'an -- I frankly didn't like her character much in season one, but she won me over this season, and that's largely due to the performance. Ethan Peck also did an excellent job, especially with some of the more comedic scenes.
Whoever decided that Carol Kane should play the ship's weird ass immortal engineer is a genius. Please give them a raise.
It was only a few scenes in the last episode, but I liked the guy playing Scotty. I was not expecting him to show up at all, but I couldn't stop grinning.
One of the advantages of being a more episodic series is the ability to easily explore many different tones and genres, and this season takes full advantage of that. One episode will be very silly and comedic, and the next will be a dramatic character study, and it just pings back and forth. I love that it has the freedom to explore that much variety.
What I Didn't Like
Spock and Chapel are the single worst thing about this season, and their relationship is definitely something I am going to pointedly ignore going forward. It makes sense to take their TOS dynamic and flesh it out more, but what the writers came up with makes both characters into the worst possible versions of themselves. Now Spock is canonically an adulterer, and someone who's chosen his emotionless affect because a woman broke his heart -- which uproots all of his characterization for the rest of the franchise. And Chapel just comes across as a bitch, particularly in the musical episode. I really hate that for her. It's deeply unfair to both characters.
I am sorry to say that I still don't care for Paul Wesley's Kirk. I appreciate what he's trying to do, playing more to Kirk's intellectual side, but there's a certain level of charm that's just not there. I think he's just miscast.
Number One continues to be incredibly boring, and the weakest link in the cast. I regularly forget that she exists and am surprised when she shows up.
Ortegas desperately needs a spotlight episode. She's the only main cast member who hasn't had any kind of focus or development, and she really sticks out as a result. The few tidbits of development she does get are repetitive -- she flies the ship, and she fought in the war. I know that her role was likely reduced this season due to the death of her partner, but they could have at least tried to add variety to the small moments she does get.
I love that this show is committed to the more old-school episodic style, which gives everything a more classic Trek feel. But with such a short season, I feel you need to be much pickier about which episodes you produce. The shorter seasons mean that bad or even underwhelming episodes have a much greater impact. If three episodes of a twenty-two episode season aren't up to par, that's easy to shrug off. But if it's three episodes of a ten episode season, that's two-thirds of your content. And this season unfortunately had quite a few episodes with major issues holding them back.
Individual Episode Thoughts
This season really does come down to its individual episodes, which as I mentioned are wildly all over the place.
The Broken Circle — This season did not get off on the right foot for me. This one wanted so badly to be the big, action-packed season opener, and everything about it felt incredibly forced as a result. Everything from Spock's abrupt decision to steal the Enterprise, to the threat of war that came from nowhere and was immediately forgotten about, to watching the medical characters take drugs and start beating the shit out of people... it all just felt off, and never clicked into place.
Ad Astra Per Aspera — Much better! This one should have been the season opener. It's a modern take on the classic Trek court episode, which immediately invites comparisons to some of the franchise's best. And while it doesn't live up to something like "The Measure of a Man" or "The Drumhead," it's still pretty solid. It has important things to say, and it says them well. It's simply held back by its resolution being complete nonsense. I understand that as a prequel, the writers can't fully resolve the augmentation debate without completely undermining future series. But I thought they'd find a more coherent loophole than "she requested asylum." She did not request asylum, that makes absolutely no sense, and it sort of makes things fall apart.
Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow — I loved the time travel plot, I loved the great focus on La'an as a character, and I am actually okay with them subtly changing the franchise's timeline around by re-dating the Eugenics Wars. It was clearly something done intentionally to give the writers some greater freedom, and I can appreciate it. Unfortunately, I just wasn't sold on the romance between La'an and Kirk, which felt incredibly rushed. Without that to tie everything together, the episode never quite clicks into place. But I still respect what it tried to do and don't take too many major issues with it.
Among the Lotus Eaters — Easily the one I have the least to say on. Decent enough premise, competently executed. Not a standout as either good or bad.
Charades — Absolutely hated this one. The writers took a great concept and fumbled it. The direction they chose to go with human Spock baffles me, and doesn't make sense within their own canon. If Vulcan emotions are stronger than human ones, why does Spock becoming human suddenly make him too emotional to function? And why would he forget his Vulcan upbringing and need to be reminded how to act Vulcan? Then of course all of this is just done to further the Spock/Chapel relationship, rather than be the obvious Spock character study it should be. It's awful. Least favorite episode of the whole show, by far.
Lost in Translation — I really like the premise and overall vibes of this one, as well as the greater focus on Uhura (who might be the only legacy character that I take no issue with). Sadly, this episode is let down by some pretty poor pacing. Everything drags for longer than it needs to, and plenty of scenes felt like padding. It could have used another pass in either the writing or editing room.
Those Old Scientists — I was fully prepared to hate this one. I don't like Lower Decks, so I figured the crossover would be more of the same. But to my great surprise, this episode was excellent. Jack Quaid and Tawny Newsome perfectly translated their characters to live-action, and the characters are much funnier when they have regular people to bounce off of. I laughed out loud multiple times. But it's not just a jokefest, and has some good character beats as well. A very pleasant surprise.
Under the Cloak of War — Ehhhh. I appreciate what they were trying to do, but it never quite clicked. The Klingon general turned ambassador simply isn't fleshed out enough for the debate of whether he's truly reformed to have any weight. And M'Benga calling himself the Butcher of J'Gal just confuses things unnecessarily. I actually had to look up an episode summary to understand the ending, and when I did, I kinda hated it. For them to act like M'Benga killing a few enemy Klingons in an effort to stop mass bloodshed is on the same level as someone ordering the genocide of civilians, including children... that's frankly insulting. There was a good story somewhere in here, but it needed a couple more passes in the writing room. (Or you could just watch DS9's "Duet" instead.)
Subspace Rhapsody — The musical episode! I won't mince words. This is arguably the best episode of the show, and one of the best musical episodes I've ever seen, second only to the Buffy episode which so clearly inspired it. The songs are largely excellent, well tailored to fit both the characters and actors, and the cast is fairly talented. But it's not just silly songs for the sake of being fun. The writers understand that musical episodes should take advantage of the format to explore characters in a very unique way, and as such, most of the songs are character-driven. And the final resolution being that music needs to bring the crew together, in an ensemble number led by Uhura... that's so perfect. Only the Spock/Chapel stupidity brings this one down. Otherwise it's an A+ all-around. I've had "Status Report," "How Would That Feel," "I'm the X," and "Keep Us Connected" basically on repeat since seeing it.
Hegemony — An action-packed finale that I really enjoyed. They've done a fairly good job reimagining the Gorn to be actually threatening, and this episode expertly keeps the tension high. I've been seeing a lot of comparisons to "The Best of Both Worlds," and while it wouldn't go that far, it's certainly a solid finale.

Update!
Well, this week has been fuck all for production hasn't it lol? Literally passed out for about 16 hours yesterday and am tempted to do it again.
Sorry about that, by the way, it's been an exhausting and stressful week at work prepping for inventory (which was today) basically by myself and with two major storms having blown into my area (one just winding down for me with currently over 80,000 power outages and winds reaching up to 90 miles an hour, yikes) that had tornado threats so I had to watch like a hawk in case we needed to take shelter quickly.
Okay, I say need but it's mostly for my anxiety but I still spent most of this afternoon sick and nauseous from either the steak I had for dinner or stress. Probably both idk, my body is a bit weird sometimes.
Folks that have been around while may know that I don't tend to write anything if there's severe weather in my area, so anyone new can now know that too lol
Plans for the future? Well, I want to knock out those requests and address the asks that have been gathering dust in my inbox (whoops). I'm still deciding if I want to introduce Koala (and start waving that Fisher death flag lol) or keep walking through those big milestones--ah I still need to introduce the toxin thing whoops--maybe saving a few for emotional flashbacks? It is about a 2 year jump so there's quite a lot that could happen in that timespan.
It's a little hard to say cause idk how interested y'all are in the other, less exciting baby firsts compared to walking and talking. And while I enjoy writing in these little moments and mostly get my serotonin thataway from fic ideas to keep me going and interested, I don't intend to bore you all.
Oh! I will start cross posting on AO3 soon just to avoid the tedious process of uploading the entire thing(when I finish) chapter by chapter cause that shit sucked ngl so look forward to that I suppose~
Bear in mind that I have about 3 hours of free time on weekdays so some things genuinely take me a while if I want to do other things like catch up on fics or YouTube... Or Tears of the Kingdom lmao
Hopefully, I'll see y'all soon with more content!
And sorry for the delay, this hasn't been my intention but when is it ever?
