Ok, so, we've all heard of the whole 'Ghost King Danny finds out about the Lazarus Pits and fixes/takes them away/wtv' thing by now, but, and hear me out, what if he* is the reason they exist in the first place instead?
So, this can go a few ways.
1. Closet juice - There was that prompt a while ago saying the Pits are like ghost alcohol, so what if the pits are Danny's version of when kids leave juice hidden away to ferment and make alcohol after learning about how wine is made and forgetting about them?
2. Portal boy - There's this headcanon that Danny is the reason the portal stabilised in the first place. Whether it is because it needed a sacrifice, or someone to assign as the portal spirit, or like one fic i read a while ago said where the portal was *his* and kind of somehow lived inside him?
So, this isn't Danny's fault per se, but what if when a Halfa is ended while their portal (natural one) is open, it created a rip in the fabric of reality leading to the place it was connecting to? In that case, when the commonly mentioned purge of Halfa's by Pariah (Blood King?) was done, it left all these rifts to slowly create pits?
You can chose a reason why, (probably Clockwork) but Danny could be going around trying to fix those rifts in one way or another.
3. Lock breaker - This is approaching crack levels, but what if because Danny isn't a normal ghost/not a Halfa created from a natural portal when he goes through natural portals he essentially leaves the hypothetical door ajar and the not-fully-closed-portals drip and create pits?
I would try to think of more, but it's late and here's your word vomit/lh, hope you enjoy

This blog has officially reached 100 (+) Followers!!
You have no idea how much this means to me. I cherish each and every one of you. When I started writing a few short months ago I never expected to receive any attention at all really.
As a result of 20+ people following me just based on Dc Titans, I am happy to announce that they have officially been added to my list for requests!
For the near future I will be coming out with the following fics (in no particular order):
-Dwayne x Half-Vampire!Reader (The Lost Boys)- A casual night with Dwayne after being turned.
Fluff, Comfort, very high chance of the other boys being annoying but that's a given REQUESTED
-Dick Grayson X Vigilante/Titans!Reader (DC Titans)- Reader doesn't believe Dick when he reveals his feelings for them due to his past relationship history. He goes out of his way to try and prove that he's a better person than he was.
Frenemies to Lovers type vibes, Reader acts like an asshole throughout but its lowkey warranted. Fluff with probably just a splash of Angst.
-Astrid Deetz x Gn!Reader (Beetlejuice Beetlejuice)- The final part of An Accidental Haunting, which features little shenanigans that the couple now goes through, now that the reader is alive again.
Just pure teeth rotting Fluff. Reader being a dumbass, as per usual. Flirty reader and also Reader who forgets they're alive now and almost gets themselves k*lled. REQUESTED
-Poly!The Lost Boys x Ghost!Reader (The Lost Boys)- This fic is still stumping me but I'm trying my damn hardest to make this decent enough to post. Poly relationships have always made me a little uncomfortable for personal reasons. (No hate to anyone who is in a Poly relationship, reads about them, prefers them etc.) I don't want to let down the people who are looking forward to it though, so I appreciate the patience.
-Dennis Rafkin X Ghost!Reader (13 Ghosts 2001)- Part 2 of my self-indulgent fic that I am extremely excited to write.
Angst, Hurt and Comfort, Enemies to Lovers (Kind of)
-Tom Riddle X Fem!Reader (Harry Potter)- Chapter 2 where I will be getting more into the story aspect and less of the background information. I'm very sorry that it's taken a while for me to write it, but I promise it is on my to-do list. I am currently doing some research to make the story somewhat more accurate.
-Ryan Kuhn ("The Jackal" from 13 Ghosts 2001)- 13 Ghosts backstory fic loosely based off of the snippet of information that was provided by the 2001 movie. I desperately feel like there was a missed opportunity for a spin off based on the ghost's past lives and their capture by Cyrus. I'm going to do it myself through fanfiction, because I can.
This one will also have many warnings beforehand and I will sat it now, as well as when I write the story. I DO NOT support the character's behavior, nor do I condone any of his actions. Again, this is a character and not a real person, but the point remains.
I will not blame my inactivity when it comes to writing based solely on my depression, but it is a big factor at the end of the day. This milestone does give me a huge boost of confidence to continue writing and that is exactly what I plan on doing. Thank you all very, VERY much.
-Ghost <3

Introduction post???
Masterlist
Writing Resources
Things about me if you're nosy enough to care
Yo wassup, I'm Evie or Eve or really whatever. It's just a nickname, I've got plenty so I'm not picky. As long as it's not disrespectful I usually won't care.
I'm dyslexic so there may be some odd spelling or grammar things, my apologies. I catch a lot of them because I have a pretty thorough editing process but I'm still human. If you see them you can always leave a comment about it and I'll fix it as soon as I can.
I've been on tumblr a year but only reposting and vibing, this is my first attempt actually posting anything. I've actually been writing fanfic since I was in middle school and I started the 39 Clues series but it has always been for myself and always on paper. This year I got super into the Xmen trilogy and started typing fanfiction for the first time ever which is what gave me the confidence to do this.
I am a college student (who's currently drowning in assignments) so if I go offline for long periods of time, it's safe to assume that's why. I want to use this as an outlet and just to keep my writing skills up when I have the time. That being said I'm super open to requests and ideas. So:
Requests:
I will NOT write: rape; incest; anything scat, vomit, or urine
There are other things I won't write but those fall into two categories:
1. There is wiggle room. For example, I don't like age gaps but if I like the prompt I might modify the request slightly to be something I'm comfortable with like keeping the gap the same but aging up both characters.
2. Other things are specific to my own stuff that I don't think I could fully articulate without explaining and I don't owe strangers on the internet explainations. For example, if I can help it I will not be under the influence of substances (for personal reasons) although, I'm okay with writing a character being under the influence of alcohol or weed or whatever BUT I won't write it if you (the requester) doesn't tell me what to include. Like symptoms, feelings, vibes, etc.
Fandoms/things I'll write for:
This isn't an exhaustive list, just what's on the top of my head/what I'm most passionate about. Please feel free to ask about other media as this list may not be updated or it might be something I forgot
-Xmen trilogy specifically Logan Howlett, Jean Grey, Scott Summers
-Avengers
-The Mentalist
-House MD
-Batman/DC specifically Dr. Crane, Batman, any of the Robins
-NBC's Hannibal specifically Matthew Brown
-Arcane season 1
-The spiderverse specifically Miguel O'Hara
-Detroit become human
-Spider-Man
-Streamers/Youtubers specifically Jschlatt, Ted Nivison, Charlie Slimesicle
-Dexter specifically Debra Morgan, Miguel Prado, Rudy Cooper
I will make a masterlist when I figure out how. Uhhhh I think that's all. Again, if I do something wrong either socially or setting up my blog or the writings themselves, please don't hesitate to tell me. Thanks!

Etymology nonnie here!
1. I'm so honored and glad other people think I'm sweet, even if just as a sweet overthinker. Yet, I'm not sure how accurate of a perception it is. Yet, I'm not one to go against positive impressions of myself.
2. Why? Why? All your future ideas fascinate me. And the fact the two I like the most are the ones with less votes leaves me heart broken. Yet not so much as the fact I had to choose between 1950s superheros and cowboys. I love the 1950s aesthetic, and I've been obsessed with superheros thanks to the MCU (though that is mostly due to attractive male actors, and because Bucky Barnes is an obsession/comfort character of mine), Batman/Batfamily content I have seen in Tumblr and AO3, and, of course, Fallen Hero (the amount of words I could write about Fallen Hero is insane). Superheroes are so fascinating when it comes to discussions of morality, the relationship between justice and law, and what means to be human. But also cowboys... As any man, I do dream about being a cowboy (and a knight, but that wasn't an option, lol), even though I know that if I actually became a cowboy I probably wouldn't enjoy it much. It's about the aesthetic, you see... Like, gay cowboys? Is there anything better?
The only reason I don't have projects on similar settings is because I cannot think for the life of me about a good superhero story that is not just ripping off something already done by Marvel/DC, or Fallen Hero (I replay Retribution at least once a week, is terrible how much I think about this game). As well as I don't feel confident enough on my knowledge on the Old West as well as the English used there and then.
3. I forgot to comment on my previous two asks about the Halloween party Imre will host. Like... I had completely forgot before replaying the game. And now I have to think about that party. About how I know it's going to end in disaster. But it has the chance to be highly romantic as well... God. I just keep exciting myself with what is to come in your story, don't I?
I haven't checked the poll but wdym the western one is losing??????????? 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 it's a story idea I really like as it has discussions of religion, crime and morality (plus there's a RO preacher)
Yeah I feel like creatives need to not worry so much about original ideas, it's one thing where I don't like using someone else's ideas but it's another to sit down to write a genre and do what you like and find out it's something that's been done. Although my superhero idea is a bit of a subversion so to speak, not traditional and not exactly happy hahah but what else is now with me?
I'm in the same boat as you nonnie, I'm too excited for the halloween party. Because I teased it so early it's been building in anticipation

Chapter Five: Depress to Impress
He went home once I was well enough to return to school. We didn't say goodbye to each other. I think that made it easier to return to school that Friday. I would've broken down if we had to say goodbye. I returned to school in a weird mood but put on a brave face. At least that's what I thought. We met for P.E. outside, and Hillary sat next to me, knocking shoulders playfully. I couldn't help but smile. "I thought we scared you off," Hillary smiled.
"No way... It was actually bad lunch meat," I replied. Hillary covered her mouth to keep from laughing at me.
"I'm sorry. I'm not laughing at you. You haven't had a home-cooked meal since you got emancipated, huh?" Hillary asked. I shrugged. I ate with Rex sometimes, but I don't think that qualified as dinner. She took my phone and put her number in.
"If you want me to take you out to dinner, just ask," I joked.
"I need you to shut up. I'm gonna teach you how to cook... So you don't kill yourself," Hillary laughed. I grinned. "Listen, Lucky, you realize I'm never gonna flirt back with you, right?"
"Yeah, I know. I'm just trying to figure out how to be your friend," I replied as I followed her around the track. Hillary gave me a smile so big I relaxed my shoulders. Finally, I said something right.
She brushed her knuckles across my chin. Hillary didn't say anything else to me for a long time, and I got nervous. I walked a few paces ahead of her and trotted backward. "Do you think I'm weird?" I asked.
"That's a weirdly self-conscious question to ask," Hillary teased. I held my hands behind my head.
"I'm out of town this weekend, but do you and your friends wanna hang out at my place next weekend? I've got a karaoke machine... Well, my manager's daughter left hers over my place, but it's basically mine," I suggested. Hillary took in a breath and held it for a second. It looked like she wanted to say no. "Right, no... Weird question."
I turned around and cursed under my breath. It was so embarrassing how far I was willing to stick out my neck to connect with Hillary. She was so cool to me. I couldn't help but feel like a dweeb when I was around her. "No, I-. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. I have a pretty packed schedule for the next two weeks," Hillary reassured me. I put my headphones in and tried to recover from how stupid I made myself look.
She took one of my earbuds out and popped it in her ear. "Oof, I didn't expect you to listen-."
I shushed her. "Our little secret... What did you think I listened to?" I questioned.
"I don't know... Definitely not this, though. I thought you liked pop music," Hillary replied. I put on my sunglasses and rolled my eyes. "What?"
"I don't really care for pop like that... It's the sound that was picked for me," I replied, "And I stopped writing my stuff after they chopped and screwed my innermost feelings for a pop hit." I hated singing it on tour. I had to sing it because it was one of my biggest songs.
"What song?" Hillary asked. I chewed my lip. I said too much, but I was in a seriously bitter place. "You're not gonna tell me?"
"I already said too much. I'm in no place to complain. That song is the only reason why I have a singing career. Besides, I shouldn't dump on what people like. It's rude," I replied. Hillary's eyes widened.
"You don't like your own music?" Hillary asked.
"Not at all... But I don't get paid to like it," I replied before realizing I was parroting a producer who told me the same thing when that song was released.
I didn't want to talk anymore, but I couldn't shut down either, so I turned up the music and hoped she'd let the conversation die out. She did. When the bell rang, Hillary and I parted ways, and I spent the next hour taking notes in English at the library. I hadn't been to a public library before, but it was like the ones on tv. "Lucky, mind coming here a second?" Mr. Isaia whispered. I nodded and met him in the classic literature section. "I know you missed most of the week, so you can go check out your textbooks now if you haven't already." I thanked him and grabbed my backpack before heading to the librarian's desk. She scanned my schedule and gave me a stack of textbooks. I put two in my backpack and carried the other two.
I received a text from Rex, and I sat outside Oceanography, waiting for him to pick up the phone. "You're good to go right after school, right?" Rex asked.
"Hi, Rex. I'm fine, thanks. How are you?" I replied sarcastically. "And no... Can you give Roxy the spare key?"
"Yeah, sure. How do you feel about the interview? Got any off-limits topics?" Rex asked.
"If I say anything's off limits, it'll look like I'm hiding something," I replied, "And I know they're gonna wanna ask about the emancipation."
"Good," Rex replied before hanging up. I knew what he meant when he asked stuff like that. It was a trick question. No question is off-limits. My job was to be coy when someone asked something invasive or inappropriate. I'd been asked all sorts of things, but the questions this was my first interview since my emancipation. It bothered me that this was the first time my dad wouldn't be present to screen questions. He'd pulled me from interviews because of inappropriate questions. I shuddered at the thought.
School sped by, and Rex picked me up. He handed me a packet which I assumed were the pre-interview questions. I read through the first few, which were expected, but I stopped at a question worse than anything I could've anticipated. It hurt. "Rex, I know we talked, but this question is off-limits," I announced.
"No, kid. No question is off-limits. You're trying to re-invent yourself and show people that you deserve to be treated like an adult. This is how you do it," Rex replied.
"Did you look at any of these?" I asked.
"Uhhh... I skimmed a few of 'em," Rex lied.
"They asked me about my adoption. I thought-."
"It was off-limits when your dad had custody of you. You're an emancipated minor now," Rex replied, "Just make light of it."
"Make light of being asked questions like: Have you had any hot rendevous since you've been in Hawaii? Rex, that's weird. You're supposed-."
"Luck, look at me. Have I ever steered you wrong?" Rex interrupted. I didn't answer. I didn't even tell him what the worst question was. I don't think he would've cared.

20 Questions for Fic Writers Meme
I am enjoying reading these. I've not been tagged, and I'm not tagging anyone. Because I'm pants at self promotion and I think this will help.
How many works do you have on AO3?
Currently 20, though AO3 says 21. That's due to User Error (mine, and not ruling out others). The first time I tried adding a fic to a Fest Collection, it wound up being posted to both the collection and my home, so it's up there twice.
2. What's your total AO3 word count?
240,140, which isn't what AO3 says. See above, I subtract out the duplicate word count from one of the two iterations of Dreaming a Life.
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Harry Potter, and that said I've got one crossover written and posted (Nexus), and another WiP (in the editing phase) which hopefully I'll start posting soon (Mystic Dream). Also that said, I really enjoy bringing Guest Charcters into my fics if it works, meaning the Guests are more or less in the role they play in their origin stories (with a bit of leeway), I do my best to keep them in character, they're just playing a similar role in a Potter fic. Examples, Arthur Fish and Barney Miller from the Barney Miller telly program both show up as Aurors; at the small hotel that Ginny and Harry stay in Washington DC over time, Basil Fawlty and Marion Ravenwood appear.
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
Eloped, Sort Of Meanwhile, Back At the Burrow Dreaming a Life Molly's Nightmares Portrait
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
Yes. Sometimes the response is brief and sometimes longer. Why I respond is that someone enjoyed the story enough to make a comment, at the very least I should be polite and thank them.
6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
I haven't written it yet; tbf this is probably because I prefer to write fairly happy endings. That said, Honeymooners ends on something of a cliffhanger…
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Probably Dreaming a Life.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Without going through all the comments again, I think I received one comment that said I'd written the two characters in the story Out Of Character. It wasn't particularly hateful, at least not to me. And per what I answered above, I thanked them for reading and commenting.
9. Do you write smut. If so, what kind?
Yes. When I believe it fits the story. What kind? I dunno how to answer that, your mileage may vary from mine, cobber.
10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?
I've written one, Nexus. Well, actually, I've written two, but the second is still being edited. So for now, Nexus is the craziest.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not to my knowledge.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Not to my knowledge.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
No, and sort of? So far it hasn't been published anywhere, one of the Discord writer's groups I'm in worked on a co-written anniversary fic.
14. What's your all-time favourite ship?
In the fandom I write, Ginny Weasley/Harry Potter. I've got other ships in other fandoms, of course. Leia Organa/Han Solo is one. Honor Harrington/Paul Tankersley (though that ends tragically) is another.
15. What's a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?
The future is unwritten; I don't know I will never finish something.
16. What are your writing strengths?
Dialog, and descriptive "stage" setting. At least, based on feedback from my beta readers.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Confidence in myself, that the words I've strung together will appeal to others. I consider the craft of writing to be a work in progress, and keep studying to make mine better, stronger.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
When it's appropriate, do it. Translation programs help, and translation programs do not excuse you from finding help from someone who is a native speaker of whatever language. Try, but do not feel obligated, to put enough into a scene to allow readers to get the gist of it by context.
One of the places I do this, I try to avoid writing Fleur Delacour Weasley's French accent attrociously so there's only a few touches in her dialog that hint at that. And what I've done (with the help mentioned above) is when she is feeling strongly about something, she reverts to speaking French. Bill and their children all can speak French as well, though not perhaps the rest of the Weasleys…
19. First Fandom you wrote for?
One which probably no one thinks is a fandom. Hey, I was 12 years old. And no, none of that exists any more. Oh, the fandom? 12 O'clock High
20. Favourite fic you've ever written?
While I'm tempted to say I haven't written it yet, I will say I can't narrow it to one. So: Dreaming a Life is way up there. Between the two iterations, it's also the most hit fic I've written. After that one Portrait, Proposals, and Vignettes.

Hi, I don't know if you'd even answer this ask but I've been loving all your prompts and been sucked into the dp/dc crossover content.
Im curious about trying to make some oneshots or fics myself but I'm not well versed in dc at all except very basic knowledge so I'm really nervous.
Do you have any advise for how to start or suggestions to help some one jump right in?
Ok I'm gonna be using this slightly as an excuse to give y'all a DC reading guide and also:
Personal Opinion 1: You really don't have to read any comics to learn DC. I'd highly recommend going on Youtube and watching some summarizing History of the Batfamily videos so you know the general lore. Reading a bunch of solely DC-related fics also helps greatly. It can get you immersed in the world and learn tidbits of backstory and characterization without having to touch a single comic. if you feel confident enough that you know the character? Go for it!! If you're still unsure and you want to write it anyways? Have a beta reader who's well versed in DC help point out moments that may be OOC or help fix characterization a bit. You never know how good you are at writing that character until you put your pen to paper! Personal opinion 2: go to your local library, go to the graphic novel section, and see if any comics catch your eye. Pick it up and give it a read. There truly isn’t a perfect place to jump in for comics. Continuity is all Willy Nilly and confusing. There’s no perfect spot to jump in but there are personal recommendations or preferences that people will tell you to start on.
I highly recommend listening to podcasts about characters that you’re intrigued with to see if you want to spend the time researching and reading about said characters.
Other tertiary opinion.
I really only have Batman comic recommendations but a friend of mine gave me a list in order for Batman comics to read so here it is:
Batman Year One.
Batman Venom.
Batman Long Halloween.
Batman Dark Victory.
Robin Year One.
Batgirl Year One.
Nightwing Year One.
Batman Cult
Batman Death In The Family
Knightfall
Batman No Man’s Land
Under the Red Hood
Batman Zero Year
That’s what I got. You don’t have to read every single comic to know everything but at least reading a summary of the comic so you’re caught up and not confused as you go into the next comic is something I’d recommend. Batman Knightfall and No Man’s Land are super long and really a drag to read through. Like genuinely they’re painful as hell to read through. I’d recommend reading a synopsis online or listen to a podcast about it.
Other comics in general I’d recommend that I've read that I think are good depictions of the characters:
Superman: Up In The Sky. by Tom King.
John Constantine Hellblazer: Dangerous Habits. #41-46. by Garth Ennis & Will Simpson.
The Spectre by John Austrander.
Shazam! The Monster Society of Evil. by Jeff Smith.
Blue And Gold. by Dan Jurgens
Victor & Nora: A Gotham Love Story. by Lauren Myracle
Batman Vol 1 & 2 (The Court of Owls & The City of Owls). By Scott Snyder.
Again, there are definitely some better comics out there and a lot of comic runs I didn't add on. That's simply because I haven't read the others. Some of these characters you might not care for, and that's completely fine! You don't have to read them then.
Podcasts I'd reccomend:
Character Corner. Their takes and reviews are wonderful. I adore this podcast and found out about many amazing comic runs from this show.
Geek History Lesson. It has a gimmick and it's fun. It's not as in-depth as Character Corner but it does have a far larger array of Characters to listen to and learn about. There's also is this ao3 post that has a batshit insane amount of info on how to navigate and learn about Batman and Gotham

If you're still doing character bingo I have to ask for Cassandra Cain~
Listen, I am ALWAYS here for anything you want to send me. <3
And of course I'm delighted to talk about Cass!
"They are soooo cool looking" - I don't think I can say it better than this post did about Cass's classic Batgirl costume: "the only one who is more goth than batman. the pinnacle who will never be beaten. who else would take the batgirl costume and add a skull-looking thing as a part of the mask. who else would look be a silent specter of death in the night. she is the reason i made this goddamn list and i will never recover from this Look"
(Although, as a nitpicky comic nerd, I will note that of course original credit for the costume actually goes to Helena Bertinelli, who wore it first.)
"wasted potential" - WHERE DO I EVEN START HERE. Again, I'm not up on the current Batman comics (but what I hear is often... not encouraging), but in this case I would feel confident saying this no matter what, because even if they were writing Cass magnificently now, it wouldn't make up for the LITERAL DECADES they spent absolutely squandering her character, from poorly-written Heel Turns to shoving her on the backburner to outright ERASING her character from existence when the New 52 started.
"if they were real I would marry them" - I mean, what more can I say here? Cass is Wife Material. <3
"they're deeper than they seem" - I think it's VERY easy for her character to get reduced down to "strong and silent ninja stereotype", and lose all the different layers and facets to her. I think we've seen a bigger push to acknowledge her fundamental kindness and heart lately, but someone (possibly you?) made a fantastic point that even when portrayals get that right, sometimes they just make her too... bland? Cass needs a certain amount of WEIRDNESS and unpredictability to her. And I think it definitely often gets overlooked just how deep her psychological scars from everything she's been through go. You've made some fantastic posts about how she's actively suicidal for a large part of her Batgirl run, and yet I think that often isn't talked about.
"They got done DIRTY by the fans" - In spades, and I'm actually going to call myself out here, because I've been guilty too. When I first joined the DC fandom, I feel like the general consensus was that Cass just wasn't a relatable character and people often didn't understand her, and I just kinda took that at face value and assumed it was true for far too long.
There was a lot of "Oh, Cass is awesome, but I just don't GET her like the other characters", and on the one hand that's fair enough, we all connect with different characters, but I think it creates this endless feedback loop where fandom content isn't created about the character, and so people in the fandom don't start gaining a better understanding or feeling more connected to them.
I also think it can be the kiss of death to put a character up on a pedestal as an Important Character and not talk about the things that make them human, flawed, lovable, etc. etc. - I think people tend to do this from a well-meaning place, but in actuality I think it ends up alienating fans and making them feel like they can't connect with the character. (This was a huge problem with me and Wonder Woman at first, too.) Ultimately fans don't want an Icon, they want to connect to the character as a person, so you have to talk about the characters in human terms. All the more so if they're Important Groundbreaking Representation(TM).
"didn't get enough screentime" - In the comics too, but also- literally! Put her on our screens, please, DC! Put her in your animated shows and movies! Put her on the big screen! And no, whatever the heck was going on in the Birds of Harley Quinn movie doesn't count. Can we can an actual adaptation of her character onscreen pls?
#replies#renaroo#character bingo meme#sorry i went off on a bit of a rant with this one#but I do think it's important to acknowledge my own past mistakes here and try to do better

fic writer 20 questions
thank you @blas-ph-emy beloved for the tag!
1. how many works do you have on ao3?
including the ones I've made anonymous, 289! but I only have 202 visible on my page, and I know I've orphaned at least one fic
2. what’s your total ao3 word count?
1,082,412
3. how many fandoms have you written for, and what are they?
idek, maybe like 25? I don't wanna count them all sorry lol. they are: DC (esp. Batman and Teen Titans), Marvel (including FF, the MCU, etc), 9-1-1, ATLA, Harry Potter, Teen Wolf, The Vampire Diaries, Riverdale, Percy Jackson, Supernatural, and other one offs.
4. top 5 fics by kudos?
Wayne Family Tweets, aka Why Bruce Wayne's Hair Is Going Gray (batfam); Baby Fever (sterek); the groupchat (mcu); la folie de la vie (batfam); you feel it in your chest (batfam)
5. do you respond to comments? why or why not?
I always try to but I struggle with replying in a timely manner, and then feel bad when it takes too long so I never end up doing it lol. I always appreciate them though!! there are some I go back and reread whenever I need a pick me up. (this also applies to anonymous messages here, I swear I've read them and I loved them but I cannot make the words work to reply I'm sorry dkjsfakjh 😭😭😭)
6. what’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?
la détermination de la vie (batfam) which is a really short fic and one of my very few with the MCD warning
7. do you write crossovers?
I have before but nowadays I prefer not to unless the worlds are similar enough and I can find a way to make them connect naturally
8. have you ever received hate on a fic?
yes I have, both as comments and anon messages here on tumblr
9. do you write smut? if so, what kind?
yeah!! it's nothing hardcore haha, usually it's like soft or funny, sometimes light D/s, mostly PWP. and I also enjoy switching up the usual dynamics so I've written some femdom and versatility. generally, I enjoy reading a broader range of smut than I really know how to write lol
10. have you ever had a fic stolen?
yep 😬
11. have you ever had a fic translated?
yes! not for a long time but it has happened lol
12. have you ever co-written a fic before?
I've tried to and failed kdsjhfaj ... unless we're counting like, alpha-reading as co-writing, in which case I have a few times!
13. what’s your all-time favorite ship?
okay so I am a big multishipper and whatever ship I'm into varies by what fandom I'm in and how I'm feeling etc BUT I would have to say that Dick/Kory (Robin/Starfire) is probably my all time fave. I loved them so much as a kid and have continued to adore them as I've grown up and read more comics. everything about them is just right up my alley: the sun/moon motif, the height difference, the way that they're both so confident but can be soft and gentle with each other, everything. chefs kiss.
14. what’s a wip you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?
....... listen. I'm gonna be honest. I want to finish all of them. but I don't know if I'll ever be able to make my brain work with me to do it tho
15. what are your writing strengths?
I can write a mental breakdown like nothing else babey 😌 just kidding, I think I'm pretty good at writing character dynamics, internal angst, dialogue (sometimes), smut (but pretty much only if there's little to no plot lmao), stuff like that
16. what are your writing weaknesses?
I really struggle with long fics. all the ones I've written were like lightning-strike moments of inspiration and muse cooperation. I try to plot them out and I can do that fine, but when it comes to actually writing... my brain just stalls out. sometimes fluff and humor fight with me and I lose lol. connecting plot to smut. speculation fics/codas/reaction to canon fics are also pretty hard for me
17. what are your thoughts on writing dialogue in another language?
I don't speak enough of any other language to do it myself really. usually if I do do it, it's either not full sentences or I'll check with friends who I know actually speak whatever the language is to make sure it works
18. what was the first fandom you ever wrote for?
The Hunger Games lmfao. it was a fic about Finnick and Annie being separated at the 75th Reaping iirc, and I'm pretty sure I was like. 11 or 12 when I wrote it kjdshafj
19. what’s your favorite fic you’ve written?
oh my god this is too hard of a question kjdsafjk uhh I'll pick from just 2021's fics tho: my favorite is probably every shape, every curve (9-1-1) which is not one of my most popular fics BUT I have always wanted to write pegging and I really really enjoyed finally getting to do it. and for a non-smutty fic, shines so sincere (jily) is also one I really love. basically if it has an ace-spectrum character in it, I loved writing it lmfao
20. tagging? (no pressure of course <33) @aknifespoint @batbirdies @princess-of-the-worlds @fanfictiongreenirises and anyone else who wants to do this can say I tagged you! :smek:
