Killing Ace off after the whole Marineford arc is such a fascinating choice narratively. Like, it’s not a bad one per se, but man, I wish I could’ve been there when the manga was first coming out to see the readers’ reactions. Because after how important saving him has been built up to be – all the people dying in his name, not to mention Luffy’s whole thing – the fact that he dies anyway is just so interesting.

If you say so🤷‍♀️… I see it more so as the four wall that Techno breaks like Deadpool making remarks about Fox and Marvel. The character is aware of that but it’s also not apart of his story if that makes sense. But hey, it’s how you see it. It’s part of the fun that there is so many ways to view it or creative explanations and such and how that changes the story. Like if Twitter exists what does that mean? Does that mean some characters actually have a motivation for fame and fortune, trying to get themselves trending on Twitter? Didn’t Dream post about being tortured in prison? Does that mean people just didn’t believe him?… lots of things to think about. On the other hand if Twitter isn’t a thing, then does that mean that every Twitter related comment isn’t canon and should be discarded?… etc etc. And the thing is either way, you’d have a fair case to make. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to say either one or to further look at what that means or don’t, and technically that’s kinda still canon. That what’s fun. You can imagine them all carrying around a device so they can use Twitter and perhaps use chat, and I can imagine it differently. And neither is technically wrong just different ways of looking at it. :)
