WIP THURSDAY.

♡ - i was tagged by @arklay to post one of my wips, thank you so much! i dont have any art im working on atm, so heres my buncove oneshot that might never be finished woops

“I’m sorry…” She whispered.

The hand that was stroking her hair moved to her face to gently wipe away the tears that still clung to her cheek, a gesture she had done for him so many times.

“Please don’t apologise, Bunni. Please… I don’t ever want you to feel like you’re not deserving of comfort.”

“But… It…” He heard her take a shaky breath, her free hand fiddling with the fabric of her dress. There were a few moments of silence before she continued her sentence, Cove straining to hear her quiet voice. “It’s selfish of me…”

“Do you think I’m being selfish when I cry to you?”

“What?” Bunni looked up at him, panic in her eyes. “Of course not.”

Cove gave her a bent smile as he gently tucked a piece of hair behind her ear. “Then neither are you.”

She let out a deep sigh, eyebrows furrowing up, leaning forward to place her forehead on his shoulder again. He knew that she was avoiding his stare, not wanting to agree with what he said but not denying it either.

“I just… I don’t… Everythings changing and I’m going to be alone and I’m just so scared, what if I don’t know what I’m doing or… Or I fail. What if I’m not good enough?”

He placed a kiss on her temple as he wrapped his arms around her, pulling her in tight.

“I know it’s hard for you to see, but I truly believe that there’s nothing you can’t do and I know you’re going to be so successful. And you know, I’m always here for you Bunni. Whether you’re feeling lonely or need to be comforted, whatever the reason is, no matter what time it is, I’ll always answer your calls.” He gently ran a hand up and down her back, leaning his head against hers. “I always want you to rely on me, Bunni. I love you so much.”

He felt the warmth in her cheeks as she pressed closer into his shoulder, taking in a stuttered breath.

“I love you too.” She spoke delicately. “But… Is it too late to go through with the pretzel plan?”

Caught off guard, Cove let out a surprised laugh, thrilled to hear Bunni join in, the joke releasing tension from both their bodies. As he felt her start to sit back up, his arms trailed from her back to her shoulders, gently running down her arms before taking her hands in his own. He couldn’t help the warmth that spread throughout him as he saw the smile now on her face, the concern gone from her eyebrows.

“I don’t know what I did to deserve you.”

He felt seconds from combusting as a nervous laugh escaped and gripped her hands tighter, wanting to hide from his embarrassment but not wanting to look away from her adoring smile either. Quietly he replied; “You didn’t have to do anything.” 

Hearts racing, Bunni moved forward to place her forehead against his, her smile becoming giddy as Coves compliments never failed to turn her insides to putty. Falling into a comfortable silence, both used this as a chance to calm their beating hearts. It was so easy to fall into these silent moments. Being with each other was as easy as breathing, like it was the most natural thing in the world. Leaning back, Bunni broke the trance they were in and took a steadying breath, Cove noticing the blush building up in her cheeks. She took a second to look down at their clasped hands before returning to the eye contact they held.

“Can… Can you kiss me?” 

Cove felt his face burning up, heart skipping a beat due to her delicate request. His love for her was so immense it felt as though one day it would all become too much, spilling out of every crevice and his mind would be consumed with thoughts of only her. Letting go of her hands to place both of his on her cheeks, he tried to pass on these feelings in his kiss, needing her to know how much he cherished her, that despite all her insecurities and anxiety telling her otherwise, it was her that he wanted to spend the rest of his days with. He wanted to convey everything in his kiss, the way she made him feel so comfortable in his emotions, how blessed he was to have someone who understood him so deeply and love him despite his cracks, how immensely he loved her, so much so that he was scared he would drown in his love one day, he needed her to know everything. Moving his hand from her cheeks to her neck, they trailed down her back to her waist before settling under her thighs, lifting her up as he moved further onto his bed and settled against his headboard, gently lowering her down onto his lap, the soft fabric of her milkmaid style dress flowing out so that he was able to feel the warmth of her thighs through his jeans. 

“S-sorry… Was that too much?”

Shaking her head, she let out a nervous laugh, Cove not being able to look away from the way her blush travelled to her ears. “No… It- It’s perfect.”

A shiver ran down Cove's spine as they both fell into each other again, their lips slotting together so easily, each perfectly in tune with the other's actions.

Fourteen! It was thirteen until yesterday, which appealed to me a lot, but I decided that posting pirate!thoschei was worth changing that number hahaha

3. How many fandoms have you written for?

Technically five, because I’m not counting Avengers and MCU as two different fandoms hahaha. But they are: Doctor Who (2005), MCU, Stargate Universe, The Greatest Showman, and X-Men (comics) - the latter, though, wasn’t really for that fandom, because I was writing a TGS X-Men au hahaa

4. Top 5 fics by kudos?

Liminality , with 195 kudos - I am not surprised about this one, since it’s probably the most ‘readable’ of my fics, being a oneshot, not shippy, and also not being stupidly long haha!

Renegades in the Ring , with 144 kudos - I didn’t realise how much kudos this one got? I guess it helped that the fandom was very active when I first posted this. Alas, if only I had finished this one...I have a lot of nostalgia for the idea, but I don’t think I’ll ever return to it, simply because it would take about as much effort as campervan au is taking me right now. 

i need a place to hide (before the storm begins) , with 125 kudos - which I am genuinely SO happy about because ahh! This is my big project and to know that 125 people said ‘yes this is good’ is just...really really nice?? Especially when it’s such a niche, specific au.

Tropospheric Disturbance , with 125 kudos - honestly, I’m surprised this one has as many kudos as it does, since I regularly forget I even wrote it hah! It’s a weird one, because it’s not actually in my usual writing style, but I am very proud of it!

and they did live by watchfires , with 109 kudos - and I’m really really happy to see this one here, because I think this is probably the favourite thing of my own that I’ve written. 

5. Do you respond to comments? Why/why not?

YES absolutely!! I love comments so much, and I really love to ramble about my stories because I almost always have a LOT of thoughts hahaha

6. A fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

I mean, it’s probably a toss up between i need a place to hide (because I ended it on that twist/cliffhanger), Retrograde (which is another cliffhanger ending, leaving all the characters in a REALLY BAD situation), or maybe the new problem kid, you’ll taste all the salt in my lungs, because, uh, it basically ends with the Doctor saying ‘the person I was before this moment is dead’ HAHAHA. But, to be honest, I don’t know if I would call any of those endings VERY angsty? They’re more like ‘AHHH WHAT HAPPENS NEXT’ endings rather than angst. I don’t tend to write angsty endings because I love angst but I always prefer to end it on a hopeful note...otherwise it feels very unsatisfying for me to write, personally. 

7. Do you write crossovers?

Technically? I mean, I see Renegades as an au more than a crossover, because it’s merely set in the same universe as the X-Men comics, and the only crossover element is Nathaniel Essex being in it...and I never even wrote those scenes hahaha

8. Ever received hate on a fic?

Nah, people are wonderful!

9. Do you write smut?

Since I’m sex-repulsed, this is a hard no HAHA

10. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

12. Have you ever co-written a fic?

Me and @sunshinedaysforever have a collab-wip graveyard in our dms HAHA - but I am actually working on cowriting a fic with some other wonderful folks at the moment! I am. Supposed to have my part finished by the 6th. Hm. 

13. All time fav ship?

Right now, it’s thoschei/spydoc, but I wouldn’t necessarily say that’s my all time favourite, because my favourite changes a lot. I do have a HUGE amount of love for Clintasha and Rush/Young though! 

14. WIP you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

Hmmmmm, there’s a few. I mean, at the moment, I feel like The Grandfather Paradox will NEVER get finished, but I like to think that if I’m still into Doctor Who enough when I finally finish campervan, I might take a crack at it? Grandfather Paradox is more solid atm than some of my other wips...(see: deathless, disarmed). Oh, I know which one I almost certainly won’t finish - this one I came up with waaay back before In the Wind, which is set between O55 and Telsa, which is about telepathy and not listening to warnings from the past, amongst other things.

15. Writing strengths?

I’ve been informed that I’m really good at character voices, and I also think that I’m quite good at expanding characters we see very little of and fleshing them out a lot more. I’ve had to do that a lot for campervan and it’s been really good fun!

16. Writing weaknesses?

I think I can get kinda tangled in the emotional plot lines sometimes, and it makes everything get convoluted and messy and hard to follow? Also I’m not very good at...taking a good metaphor and expanding it? If that makes sense. I’m also actually kind of terrible at subtle, clever foreshadowing because half the time I don’t know what’s happening HAHAHAHAH but sometimes I do manage it!! I’m trying to do it in campervan at the moment. Also I. Can’t write short things HAHA. My characters always think and talk a LOT and sometimes that’s good, sometimes not so much

17. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in a fic?

I’m actually doing it currently in part 5 of campervan, since Gabriela and Jamila both speak portuguese (and I’m learning portuguese!)

18. First fandom you wrote for?

On ao3? Stargate Universe. On the internet? The Avengers. Ever? Uh. I honestly don’t know. I made up ocs based on two unicorns in the aftercredits sequence of a My Little Pony VHS tape, does that count?

19. What’s your fav fic you’ve written so far?

I mentioned it earlier, but I’m extremely proud of and emotionally attached to and they did live by watchfires

2. What’s your total AO3 word count?

995596 - just a few more ficlets or 1 longer fic, and I've got a Million! Hey, maybe I should try to write one with... 4404? (I'd need to ask a calculator xD) words exactly... not rly a hardship with how many drabble exercises (exact wordcounts, 100 is the most used, I also do 200, 500, longest was 10000 exactly lol) I've already done... we'll see!

Over 400k for this year alone, and over half of that is my actual writing (not translations etc), I'm so proud! Last year I only barely hit 200k and that included a lot of translating work

3. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?  

Again, one could look this up in my works filtered - sorted by kudos? But all three of my incubus!jaskier witcher series are in it, part 2 of the series is highest with 1091 kudos, then a Venom halloween oneshot, and 'Belonging', a fluffy snake-crowley piece from my ineffable spouses series (yes, sth with under 1k words - 666 to be exact - is in the top 5... my poor longfics lol)

4. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

...I try to? But atm I have 202 unanswered (and I always click 'mark read' on replies so these are all comments on my own fic) even tho I told myself I'd not let it get past 200, and now I'm doing a tag meme instead of replying to anything so ummmm

And while atm it's still semi-manageable, if it ever gets to the point where I really can't manage to reply to everyone cause it's too much, i'd rly take that as a compliment lol :D I'd still try to reply to the longer and/or more thought through comments tho :)

*thinks* I have an MCD fic? But not only is that very much a case of ~posting a draft version that's barely in complete sentences insgead of taking the time to turn it into a real longfic~, I also just killed off the mlm couple I only semi care about and left the wlw couple with a happy/hopeful (rly don't remember) ending, so... hm idk whether that counts for angsty ending

Apart from that... I dunno, I just prefer my babies to be happy and fluffy? *.* i remember a mirror milippa in the mirrorverse one where in the end Michael is worried about lying to Philippa about her identity... there are some angsty TOG and Gomens ones but I think they end happy-ish (my memory is. Bad. but looking through my 'angst' tag I just saw a lot of h/c and 'angst with a happy ending')

Recently I've just gotten a bunch of 'you Need to continue this' and 'omg why isn't there more' or 'this shouldn't end' type comments, not hate, probably not meant maliciously, but So Annoying (maybe espesh bc I don't want to just hit delete on these, but I also don't want to pretend it's fine, but I also don't have the energy for a fight, and trying to explain why that behaviour is entitled and annoying and that I write what I want to write and nice comments should praise what I actually have written, and hoping that they understand and don't get mad is... hard.)

9. Do you write smut? If so what kind?

Mostly femslash lately, but I did also write other smut in the past

Most is a bit dominant/submissive play, but I do also like good fluffy smut with feelings! Best in combo, really :D

Not in the sense of pretending someone else wrote it (that i know of), but posted to other sites without my permission - writing 'don't repost to other sites' etc did Not help, they even copied those tags lol, so I just let it be, choosing my battles wisely etcetc, I'd prefer for my fic not to be cross-posted by others bc then I can't edit or otherwise influence the fic anymore and don't see everyone's reactions to it, but as long as it's not someone pretending they wrote it, I only semi care, not enough to fight it tbh

PSA: I Only post fics to Ao3 (and WIPs/prompt fills to tumblr&discord at times), if you see them somewhere else that's Not Me and you'd do me a favour by checking them out on ao3 and kudosing&commenting there instead :)

Yup, one to Russian a while back, a floreleine (Gunpowder Milkshake) one to Korean just today actually, and I translated a bunch to German myself

All-time favs I'm not rly active in atm but will always be dear to me are the ineffable spouses, clintcoulson, heistwives, gosh so many more I'll stop here tho xD

14. What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

A Heistwives Kinda Job immediately comes to mind

I also rly want to finish at least one cohesive original-ish storyline for the lverse that I already linked for the crossover question above, but I just have so much backstory (it's been over 10 years!!!) and it's... hard...

And everything else that's still WIP and untouched for more than a few months will probably have the same fate lol

Also have a few that haven't even seen the light of day at all, most recent a Mirandy ~what if Andy had been pregnant when Miranda hired her and how would it change the entire storyline~ bit - I wrote it in bulletpoints in one go as quickly as I could, I know I had the finished product in my mind, I don't remember anything now and don't feel like going through the bulletpoints painstakenly filling in the blanks

Writing one-shots quickly in one go

16. What are your writing weaknesses?

Forgetting everything about a fic if I leave it in a draft for a second too long

17. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

There are many ways to go about it, and I think they all work (depending on the fic and the length and relevance of the dialogue)

I tend to leave single sentences as is, and for longer and important sequences use cursive and 'they said in xylanguage'.

18. What was the first fandom you wrote for?

The Hobbit apparently? I remember thinking that fic was so long lol, it's 3k

19. What’s a fandom/ship you haven’t written for yet but want to?

Kat/Ana from Reef Break, they have Such Shippable Chemistry, and it would totally fit Kat's player personality to bang both siblings (she's canonically friends with benefits with Ana's half-brother)... but the ship has one (1!) fic on Ao3 *cries*

20. What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?

TOG Andromaquynh longfic In Your Stead has had the title since last year and probably for a while to come! I loved the story idea so much I really worked with several drafts and only! worked on that fic until it was finished so I wouldn't get distracted & forget about it, and the result was wonderful.

I try to! Even if they’re just hearts or short comments. I don’t have too many comments and I want to encourage and appreciate the people who take the time to write them for me.

What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

Ummm “And My Heart Cannot Be” is probably the angstiest, it’s a response fic to Joly’s write-up of Ian’s personal quest where he’s made Tranquil (temporarily) at the end, so there’s a lot of angst on Solas’ part. Not so much on Ian’s, I suppose. :’)

What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?

Ummm, maybe “Apodyopis”? It involves Ian and Solas finding their boundaries in intimacy but overall it’s very soft and fluffy.

Do you write crossovers? If so, what is the strangest one you’ve written?

For fic, not really! I had the idea for a Doctor Who / Mass Effect fic years back when ME3 first dropped, but I never wrote it nor do I think a Doctor Who Crossover is particularly strange. Tumblr rp has led to some strange crossovers, and some not so strange. I’ve written with Star Trek characters on my Mass Effect rp blogs and then umm Final Fantasy XV might be the strangest I’ve written in Dragon Age rp, if only bc it was a crossover and not an AU.

Have you ever received hate on a fic?

I wrote a self-insert, modern girl falls into the AtLA world fic when I was still a preteen/teen and that got hate. I don’t remember what it said. And someone once accused me of “forcing solas” on the “male lavellan” I ship him with (Ian is non-binary and it literally said that in the art that prompted the anon hate, but I’ve learned people don’t read captions) and said it was “gross” lmao.

Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I’ve written it before, but not often. It’s not something that greatly appeals to me, I have some ideas for it atm but I have other projects I’m going to get to first.

Have you ever had a fic stolen?

No, just had headcanons/interpretations stolen in RP.

Have you ever had a fic translated?

I don’t think so!

Have you ever co-written a fic before?

I roleplay w/ ppl does that count. One day I might turn the Solian stuff into a multi-chapter fic and that’d need Joly’s input to be any good.

What’s your all-time favorite ship?

ATM it’s still Solas/Ian.

What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

I have a fic that’s actually a series of short (like one sentence to five sentences) drabbles that spans most of Inquisition and Trespasser detailing moments Ian came to Solas’ mind that’s been a WIP for years, but idk maybe I’ll finish eventually.

What are your writing strengths?

I’m most confident in my dialogue, so when I’m unsure about that usually it’s a sign that I’m going to hate everything I write.

What are your writing weaknesses?

I’ve never been able to write long-form, multi-chapter fics in my life. I have one planned for Solas and Thora and the only reason I think I’ll finish it is because it’s only going to be about five chapters. People who write like 20+ chapters amaze me.

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

I’ll write fictional ones, I’ll make up Elvhen or dwarven and even if it’s wrong or fake who cares it’s not a real language. Real languages I’m less keen on, I speak/spoke a few languages, if I were still practised in French I think I could manage that, but I haven’t kept up.

What was the first fandom you wrote for?

It was either Hamtaro or Kirby! Right Back at Ya. I played pretend games where I made up OCs tho which was basically just the oral version of written fanfic/roleplay.

What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?

ATM my favourite is “Who Am I in Your Arms?” which explores Solas and Ian after Wisdom’s death. Content warning for talk of suicide if you choose to read. I’ve struggled with wondering if it’s actually worth being proud of b/c it didn’t do great numbers esp on AO3, but I did a fair amount of research to get the head shaving done just right and I was able to incorporate a lot of my headcanons regarding Solas and how his relationship with Ian evolves as a result of the panic and grief involved in Wisdom’s passing.

So far not yet, but I have ideas! ASoIaF x Skrim/Atla/Star Wars, not too crazy. Sansa Stark as a Sith or Jedi, Dovahkiin and the Avatar is just my jam.

Only really mild annoyance I think. Some were dissatisfied that my protagonist has no spine in one fic and the other about how slow the slow burn is on the other and the fact that I do not update as often anymore.

Whats a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

I am slowly making peace with the fact I might not finish any of my WIPs even though I want to finish them. I will try, but atm I am burned out on anything creative.

What are your writing strengths?

I think I am good at conveying emotions, writing dialogue and observations. Honestly I am not too sure about my strengths ':3

What are your writing weaknesses?

Smut, fight scenes and connecting plotlines. My biggest weakness is to not get distracted enough by tangential plot lines and I think I write too much still. The art of cutting down is not one I have mastered yet.

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

Depends on the context. Dovahzuul is neat, but I am not particularly talented with languages. I like to read it, but I will struggle to insert it into my works. I will however liberally steal idioms and symbolisms from other languages to world build around.

What was the first fandom you wrote for?

Fullmetal Alchemist for the Roy x Riza ship! Deleted them all tho.

What’s your favorite fic that you’ve written?

Well, "Voice of Strife" is my first commitment in terms of fic writing, so it will be my favourite in terms of "it is first" and it has been ongoing for 9 years, almost 10 years now. I am rewriting the earlier chapters, as slow as a process that is.

I love the other fics too, but this fic is the longest running one and I am able to see the progress in writing I have made in it.

WIP Wednesday

Got tagged by @palepinkycat for the art version of this, this time. So, time to dust off some WIPs! Uhhh, I don’t really know of any other friends/mutuals who draw who haven’t already been tagged for this one so: if you see this and want to do it, go for it! :D

They’re all Saarai (sorrynotsorry, she’s really easy (and fun) to draw and also my favourite so...sorry if you think she’s annoying but you should expect that from me by now lol 😬😬 ), Zephyrverse (tho I seriously considered doing an Odessen version of the background for “I See Fire”, I’ll see how I feel about it when I get that far XD) and song-based, so *opens my jacket and a couple of sketches fall out* take these XD

This one is called “Chivalry Was Dead”, which is another song lyric reference (”I thought chivalry was dead” but I like to keep titles short so I can easily pick them out otherwise my brain bluescreens). It’s less obvious if you haven’t heard the song it’s from but you’ll see when it’s done.

Yes, the height difference really is that big, there’s like a whole ass foot of height between them. Rai loves her tiny wife very much even if at the precise moment in time this piece illustrates she is not yet her wife, or even her girlfriend, more like “girl-I-really-like-who-I-sort-of-flirted-with-a-couple-of-times-and-really-want-to-kiss-but-I’m-still-not-sure-if-she’s-into-me-like-that” (they are both disasters but we love them skjskshsk XD)

I really need to draw the girls more tbh. But anyway! this is a much newer sketch (as in I started it literally yesterday but hey, it was before Wednesday, it counts! XD) hence why there’s a lot less “to” it atm, but I’m hoping to have it done before the end of the month so I can use it for femslash February owo

This one is labelled “I See Fire” so the song choice is pretty obvious, I’ve also been jokingly calling it “Psychometry Vision Hell, Please The Force Let This Woman SLEEP” as a reference to the plot that it’s from. XD Poor Saarai hasn’t been getting a lot of sleep lately and neither has Sash by association hahaha

I haven’t touched this one in a little while, I started it ages ago (like probably...late 2019 or early 2020) and then kept fudging the hands so I got frustrated and abandoned it for a while but I picked it up again last week and as you can see I finally managed to make some progress! I really like this one so far but do note this is literally just a base sketch, I haven’t even gotten to her outfit or added her scars yet (I’ll probably try and do that tomorrow if I’m up to it)

Story You Were Nervous to Post:

known subjects because that is a heck of a niche fic, it’s about an OC designed to fit the fusion setting (Criminal Minds’ BAU) rather than the fandom the other characters are from (Shadowhunters), it’s an outsider POV of the main ship rather than being about said ship... It is basically five steps sideways from all the things that usually attract readers but wow, am I ever so glad I wrote it and posted it anyways.

I love Fuller. I may very well stick him into my actual-Shadowhunters-canon fic as a background character some day. <3

How You Choose Your Titles:

For Malec I cruise my way through my e.e. cummings complete poems book until I find a thing I like and then I poke at it ‘til a line falls out

For everything else I reference the canon or do something relatively literal, an emotion or an event or a description of the main character. Sometimes I grab someone else’s poetry or song lyrics! (I like things besides cummings, who knew. Me. I knew.)

/I’m bad at titles, y’all. SO BAD. Sometimes I get an AO3 email and don’t recognize my own title and have to click the link to figure out what fic someone liked. I honestly have no idea why anyone ever clicks on my fic, I am not good at selling them 😅

And last is i am for you, my epistolary!fluff fic! I posted a chapter for it last week and it’s actually pretty close to the end? Should only be a couple more chapters, I just have to, you know, actually write them.

And maybe some day I’ll dig the Persuasion!AU or the pro-bono-porn or the sequel to out of some dreaming tree out of the archive and try them again. Or some #7kpp fic, or the Code: Realize and Scarecrow & Mrs. King epilogues I started!

And now I’ve pulled the Arranged Marriage back out for the @wipbigbang​ this year so HOPEFULLY YOU WILL ALL SEE IT AT LAST IN AUGUST.

Favorite part of the art process?

Finishing smth LMAO or if that doesn’t count theeeen probably coloring? I like coloring a lot. Also lining. 

Er, well. I like coloring when I want to relax and look at smth soothing and I like lining when I wanna challenge myself. If that makes sense.

Yes, I am one of those Weird People who likes to actually line XD 

Least favorite part of the art process? 

Probably sketching. Sketching is usually when I hit my blocks and get discouraged. Also I am an.... ugly sketcher. I have a lot of issues seeing what I am doing when I only use one color so I can use up to 4 colors at once mattering on what I am drawing. Usually what I do is:

-Base sketch in gray. Mainly circles and simple shapes to show an outline of what I want

-Slightly more detailed sketch in red on top of base sketch

-Clothes and other finer details sketched in blue

-Another red sketch layer for Problem Parts AKA hands for the most part LMAO

-Sometimes I’ll use a green detail layer for really REALLY fine details but I haven’t done this in a long time. 

and if there is more than one character then I double all these since each character gets their own folder LMAO so yeah I am an Ugly Sketcher and I dislike it a lot. 

When did you start drawing? 

I mean. I was drawing ever since I was a little kid (tho ik it’s hard to believe since my art isn’t that good....) I took art classes in school up until I was like... 16 and then stopped since I couldn’t fit the elective into my schedule anymore. I stopped drawing after that.

When I got into Gravity Falls I started drawing again! I even got a tablet around that time (a super bad and cheap one but still....) and this is also around the time where I started taking art more seriously and kinda got a wake up call? I was always considered one of the best artists in my classes and now that I am on tumblr and online I realize how shit I really am LMAO so it makes me try harder I guess.... that and depressed but you know. 

So. Drawing all my life, only got more serious about it when I was like. 17/18. So about 2-3 years I guess!

When did you start writing? 

ACTUALLY kinda like drawing, I was always a writer? I technically wrote my first story when I was in like. Idek. Kindergarten or first grade I guess about a toucan who ran away because he was bullied but then came back because he missed his home. We also had projects where we had to write stories in school so I did those. And in fifth grade I started making my own spyro rip off story and wrote a rip off of The Secret Garden.

In 6th grade I wrote that spyro rip off and also wrote two other dragon-related books... well at least a couple of chapters of both LMAO.

And then I didn’t really write much. In middle school and early high school I planned and outlined and wrote very short things but nothing major or long until I got into fanfiction around.... when I was 16? So 10th grade? I wrote fanfiction until p recently.... and i still technically write SOME of it... but yeah.

So I guess I’ve been writing... like actual stories and novels I wanna finish and share since I was 16. So like.... 4 years now! 

Which original story WIP do you plan to publish first (if any)? 

WELL I plan on posting my NaNo project, Mirroring Shadows, on Wattpad/AO3/Fictionpress maybe this year... and I am also gonna post my Tales of Ozoarth novels online once I get them completed as well. But if you mean like NOT online publishing, then my Counting Stars novel! I already finished the first draft and am editing it, so I will prob make that novel my debut novel!

It’s also a safe and marketable option so ye

Self-publishing or traditional?

I wanna go traditional after a lot of thought as I do not have the money to fund self-publishing atm and am bad at marketing if my abilities to use social media effectively indicates anything. 

HOWEVER I don’t really see myself sticking to one or the other. Mattering on the story, I will probably do both?

For example, I do plan on writing Osiris’ Trials as a duology and most likely I will post the first draft online, see what people think about it, and then take it down to fix it and then self publish it. That’s not a concrete plan but it’s one I have been toying with. 

For Mirroring Shadows, I am hoping that once I finish it and try and query it, I may have some luck getting a publisher interested in it if I already have readers dedicated to it. 

In general, as of now, I am not so sure, but I am favoring traditional publishing simply due to the budget issues I have atm.
