How To (Realistically) Make A Habit Of Writing
To clarify: Works with my autism. WORKS WITH MY AUTISM!!! I’ve been meeting my goals since I made them my New Year’s resolution! Anyway I’m so sick of all those ‘how to’ guides that don’t actually tell you what the process is they’re just like ‘just do it, but don’t burn yourself out, do what’s best for you!’ because you’re not telling me what I’m not supposed to be burning myself out over but okay, so I made my own. Hope this helps
1. Choose your fighter metric. What works better for you as a measurement of your progress; time spent writing or your word count? Personally I get very motivated and encouraged by seeing my word count go up and making a note of where it should be when I’m done, so I measure by that. At the same time, a lot of people are also very discouraged by their word count and it can negatively impact their motivation to write, and in that case you may be better off working from how much time you spend writing rather than where the word count is
2. Choose your starter Pokémon time frame. How often can you write before it starts to feel like a chore or a burden rather than something fun you look forward to? Many people believe that they have to write daily, but for some people this can do more harm than good. Maybe every two or three days? Weekly? Figure out what fits your schedule and go with it
3. Choose your funny third joke goal. Now that you’ve got your chosen time frame to complete your goal in, what’s a reasonable goal to aim to complete within that time frame based on the metric you chose? If your metric is your word count, how much can you reasonably and consistently write within your chosen time frame? If your metric is time spent writing, how much time can you reasonably and consistently spend writing within that time? Maybe 1000 words per week works, or maybe 10 minutes per day? The goal here is to find something that works for you and your own schedule without burning you out
4. Trial and error. Experiment with your new target and adapt it accordingly. Most people can’t consistently write 1667 words per day like you do in NaNoWriMo, so we want to avoid that and aim somewhere more reasonable. If you feel like it’s too much to do in such a short time frame, either give yourself less to do or more time to do it in. If you find yourself begrudgingly writing so often that it constantly feels more like a chore than something fun, maybe consider adapting things. And if you think that you gave yourself too much wiggle room and you could do more than this consistently, give yourself more of a challenge. Everything needs to suit you and your pace and needs
5. Run your own race. Don’t feel like you’re not accomplishing enough in comparison to others or not working fast enough to satisfy some arbitrary feeling of doubt. Everybody works at their own pace and slower work doesn’t mean worse work. You could be on one word per day and you’ll still see consistent results, which is still one word per day more than you could originally count on. All progress is progress, regardless of its speed

What’s Past is Past 🕰️
Hello again my siblings in Christ!! It’s me, your sister in Christ, Elle! 🎀
I created this blog to begin strengthening my relationship with God and I truly think it’s one of the best beginnings I’ve had this year 🥹🥹
We have officially entered a new year once again. 2025 has started and that means new beginnings for all of us! 🎉
And what better way to greet the new year than with Christ Himself?
So sit back, relax, and begin with God 🙏
📜Bible Verse of The Day
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”
- 2 Corinthians 5:17 [NIV]
💌Something’s in Your Inbox!
Hey siblings, 2024 has ended, so take some time to quietly reflect and contemplate how your year has been.
If it has been your year, a year full of blessings and delight, then I rejoice with you. I’m incredibly glad that you found happiness this year and that God has bestowed upon you continuous mercy and grace.
But if 2024 hasn’t been the kindest to you, then I hope this will reassure you for the new year and I pray that this year brings you more joy.
I get it, this year has certainly been one of the hardest for me. I experienced some of the biggest heartbreaks in my life this year, and they were definitely difficult to overcome and move on from.
But that’s why a new year is such a blessing for us all. The glittering fireworks, blaring music, and celebrations are the temporary thrills of the new year.
A new year symbolizes hope, it represents how far you’ve gone in life. Yeah, maybe you’re still sooo far away from your achievements, goals, and resolutions— but you’ve also come a long way from where you’ve started.
All of that, made possible by our amazing Father in Heaven, God.
What’s past is past— the old is gone, the new has come. Anyone who worships God wholeheartedly and comes to Him will surely receive a bountiful new beginning this year.
If 2024 hasn’t been kind to you, then I trust that you will run to God with all your problems in 2025. Sometimes, God challenges us in life to bring us closer to Him, it’s His way of bringing us back on the right path.
The heartbreaks and festivities we have here on earth are temporary, but God is eternal. Therefore, you must go to Him, first and foremost.
Start all your beginnings with Christ 💕
2024 was full of struggles— maybe as a result, we chose to turn to sin, we chose to stray away from God. We are only human, mistakes happen, but through Christ we are forgiven and our sins are forgotten.
This is your chance to start anew with God, trust in Him and believe with all your heart that this year will bring immense change to your life.
God has a plan. Don’t stress about the year too much. He loves you, and He won’t forsake you.
Rejoice in God this year, and He will bless you beyond measure!! 🎊
I HEAR RINGINGGG 🥳🥳
📞God’s on the Line
I hope this eased your worries about the new year, even just a lil bit 🤏
If you’re still anxious about what 2025 will bring, worry not because we’ll start it with a prayer!!
Father God,
Thank You for the great blessing of the new year. Thank You for giving me the chance to start fresh and have begin again. I humbly ask that You bestow constant blessings upon me this year. I pray that You heal me from all of the heartbreaks and pain I experienced in the past. Please guide me by giving me wisdom and discernment this year. I declare that this year will be the best one I’ve had yet, and I claim it in Your name.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen! 💫
(you may continue this prayer on your own and make it a more personal one, pray abt ur life, ur goals, and the struggles u may face this year— talk it out with God)
HAPPIEST NEW YEAR MY BROTHERS AND SISTERSSSS !! I hope this year marks the start of a new journey with Christ for all of you! God bless you! 🥰🥰

How your going to transform your life in 2025
Most people give up on their New Year’s resolutions before the end of January. This is because they often are too ambitious with their goals or it’s because their goals don’t align with what they actually want from life so it’s hard to keep going. By following these steps you’ll be able to create goals that actually align with your core purpose and beliefs.
Write down all of your goals all of them break them into theses categories: Mental, Physical, Spiritual, Financial
Figure out what it is you really want —> you want to make a lot of money but what you really want is to feel secure or you want to lose weight but you really want people to love and care about you. This can be different and often times requires deep thought and patience to uncover the real need behind the goal
Find the common themes in what you really want —> I want to feel safe
Figure out what is blocking you from getting that need met —> it could be beliefs you learned growing up it could be experiences you had in your past. This can potentially be very triggering if you have a history of trauma consider your mental state before doing this and do this in a safe space.
Challenge those beliefs for every limiting belief write down a new one that challenges the old idea —> limiting belief I’m not worthy of loved challenging belief I believe that humans have inherent worth and value. I am human, therefore I must have inherent worth and value
Create affirmations with those new beliefs —> I am worthy of love. I have value just because I exist
Rewrite your goals —> I want to be financially stable, I want to create healthy habits to support my physical health

end of year ment :<
the new year always makes me feel really sentimental… i’ve never really enjoyed it, and i don’t think that will change any time soon, but still i wanna share my appreciation for anyone who sees this :)
i’m too lazy to make a wrapped for this, but i know i downloaded the app in october and started posting in november, and i’m very happy to have done so. i have returned to something i used to enjoy, and met so many new people in the process :)
so first, i’ll give appreciation to all of my moots, you know who you are ♡ i won’t tag you all just to save you from being disturbed, but truly i appreciate you all. you have no idea how hard i smile seeing our interactions, so thank you for that and thank you for making me feel comfortable starting this account up. i hope we have many more interactions in the new year!
next, i will share my most popular and my favorite work of this year !!
my most popular is my first one ever, caramel :> lowkey i still cringe at this, being that it reminds me of the really weird and cringy stuff i wrote when i first started (a loooooong time ago) so i can’t believe so many people liked it ??? but at 1k+ notes, caramel featuring lee donghyuck is my most popular. thank you to that and everyone who enjoyed it for creating a window to the caramel universe ʕ ᵔⰙᵔ⠕ʔ
for my favorite, i don’t really think i have one yet.. i am proud of all my works and think they’re good enough, but none of them really resonate with me like that. however, if i had to pick, it’d probably be easy. i like my fics to be the product of my emotions and be something more emotional rather than words on a page, and i think that one really does that. it’s one of many i wrote as a method of venting, and i still like to look back at it with happines. to easy featuring lee jeno, congratulations for being my favorite outlet for my emotions !!! (˶◜ᵕ◝˶)
as for any resolutions, i don’t really have that many revolving around my presence here. however i would like to do some things like write longer fics, expand to more fandoms, gain more moot interactions, have more svt moots (i love carats omg), and i think that’s it !!
as for outside world ones, i just want to get out more. i don’t act like it on here but i’m very antisocial and very black cat energy.. i don’t go outside much and while i prefer staying by myself, i’d like to take myself out and do more things for myself. technically i am productive, having many activities to part take in, but when i have downtime it feels a little too empty.
now.. i don’t have much else to say ! i am very sentimental, and i guess it comes with being a svt ult but the end of the year and really anything ending makes me really sad for some reason.. just the idea of time flying by, while feeling like i didn’t do much of anything makes me sad. i don’t want to grow older, especially feeling like my youth is being wasted, but i hope with my new friends here and the goal of doing better in the outside world, i can enjoy things like this more !!! i’m not sure if this is my last post of 2024, but for now this is my little sentiment for you all. i love you all and wish you nothing but the best in 2025 ♡⸜(˶˃ ᵕ ˂˶)⸝♡

A/N: The team make resolutions.
***
Deeks: So, what’s your New Year’s resolution?
Eric: I would like to make smarter choices when it comes to investing in friend’s poorly planned business models.
Deeks, amused: That’s oddly specific, but ok. Nell?
Nell, thoughtfully: I would like to spend more time with friends.
Kensi: That’s a good one.
Deeks: What about you, Sam?
Sam, shaking his head: You know I don’t believe resolutions.
Callen: Didn’t you just say you want to be less judgmental and run marathon?
Sam, glaring at him: Those are goals and that was supposed to be a private conversation. What about you, G? What are your big plans for next year?
Callen: I think I’m going to climb Mount Everest.
Sam: Now I know my resolution. It’s to spend less time with you.
Deeks: What a wonderful sentiment.
Kensi: My resolution is to be less afraid, make more bold choices. To be brave.
Deeks, sharing a smile: I can get behind that.
Callen: What about you resolve to spend less time flirting in front of your coworkers?
Deeks: Nah, that’s never going to happen.

At Autumn's End ~ Part 1 ~ Say Yes
RadioApple🩷Human Au/Age Gap🩷Top!Dom!Alastor

A question, a promise, a love standing tall, A ring, a smile, a moment for all. With hearts set aflame, with laughter and bliss— A vow is just words, but love feels like this.

The crackling fireplace cast a warm glow across the den of Morningstar Mansion, illuminating the small gathering of friends and family nestled on plush sofas.
Lucifer surveyed the scene with contentment and lingering anxiety, his fingers absently tracing the outline of the gold circle pendant resting against his chest.
The necklace from Alastor was still new enough to feel foreign, a tangible reminder of how much had changed in the past year.
"So Emily, any big plans for the new year?" Lucifer asked, forcing a casual tone as he offered a tray of carefully arranged hors d'oeuvres.
Emily, Vaggie's bubbly older sister, beamed. "Oh, you know, the usual resolutions—eat better, exercise more. But mostly I'm hoping to finally take that trip to Europe!"
Lucifer nodded, pleased to see everyone settling in comfortably.
His lingering anxiety came from the potentially awkward mix draped over their sofas in the den.
Going out with Alastor, Charlie, and Vaggie, even to dinner, had its fair share of uncomfortable moments. Usually from waiters who were never sure if it was a family dinner or a double date.
Saying ‘yes, it’s both’ got some really, really weird looks.
But, Lucifer wanted to be more open about his relationship with Alastor, now that the younger man was one semester left until graduation.
So here he sat, with his boyfriend, who was his daughter’s best friend, and her girlfriend—and her girlfriend’s family.
The two, and apparently only two, supportive older sisters in Vaggie’s big old traditional family.
Emily looked like her sibling—short, strong, with raven black hair, caramel skin, and bright brown eyes—and was nothing like Vaggie in personality.
The oldest sister was exactly the opposite. Lucifer had seen that resting scowl on his daughter’s girlfriend’s face every time they met, but Lute was tall, slender, and had severely chopped black hair.
And she looked absolutely impossible to impress.
Lucifer’s gaze drifted to Charlie, noticing how she fidgeted with the hem of her sweater. Her usual effervescence was notably dampened.
Alastor leaned in close to Charlie on the couch, murmuring something Lucifer couldn't quite catch. Whatever it was seemed to ease some of the tension from her shoulders.
Lucifer frowned slightly, a familiar twinge of concern rising in his chest.
Why did it feel like they were keeping secrets?
He took a sip of his drink to mask his unease, wondering if Charlie was upset for her girlfriend, or his boyfriend.
"And what about you, Lucifer?" Lute's stern voice cut through his spiraling thoughts. "You don’t believe in childish resolutions, do you?"
Lucifer blinked, caught off guard. "Oh, well, I suppose..." He trailed off, acutely aware of Alastor's piercing gaze. "I think it’s nice, to have something to reach for—to embrace change, even when it's uncomfortable."
Alastor's lips curled into that enigmatic smile that never failed to make Lucifer's heart race. "An admirable goal, my dear," he hummed. "Though I'd say you've already made remarkable strides in that direction."
The praise sent a flush of warmth through Lucifer, momentarily overshadowing his concerns. He returned Alastor's smile, allowing himself to bask in the closeness they'd cultivated.
But his eyes drifted back across Alastor and the sofa to Charlie's tense posture. And that nagging worry resurfaced. His fingers once again found the comforting curve of his necklace.
What weren’t they telling him?
Vaggie shifted uncomfortably on the couch as Emily leaned in, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "So, little sis, any exciting plans for the new year? Perhaps a certain someone is finally going to pop the question?"
Lute's stern expression softened slightly as she added, "You two have been together long enough. It's about time to make it official, don't you think?"
Vaggie's cheeks flushed, her voice taking on a defensive edge. "We're perfectly happy as we are, thank you very much. Not everyone needs a ring to prove their commitment."
Lucifer laughed, but noiced how Charlie seemed to shrink into herself, her lower lip caught between her teeth.
Then, he felt Alastor shift between him and Charlie. The blonde man expected a hand on his thigh or his back, only to see the younger put a hand on his daughter’s arm.
What on earth was going on with those two?
Alastor, ever the smooth operator, seamlessly interjected.
"Speaking of commitments," he said, his voice carrying a hint of playfulness, "Lute, didn't you mention wanting to make a video for your boyfriend, Adam? Since he couldn't join us tonight?"
"I did?" Lute's brow furrowed in confusion.
Charlie's eyes widened, a flash of panic crossing her features. Lucifer felt a surge of paternal concern.
Before Lute could question further, Emily jumped in. "Oh, yes! A New Year's Eve greeting. What a lovely idea!" She glanced around the room. "Where should we film it?"
"Anywhere in the house you'd like. We've got plenty of space."
Lucifer caught Alastor rolling his eyes, an action so uncharacteristic it made him pause
"Actually," Alastor chimed in brightly, his smile widening, "I think the gazebo in the garden would be perfect. The fairy lights will make for a charming backdrop."
"Are you kidding? It's freezing out there!" Vaggie's head snapped up.
"Not to mention pitch black," Lucifer added, his confusion growing. "Al, weren't you the one who insisted on taking down all the Christmas decorations already? Except…"
Alastor's gaze locked onto Lucifer's, catching him with an intense look in his hazel eyes.
Lucifer felt his breath catch, recognizing that look. It was the same one Alastor used in their most intimate moments, asserting his control.
He opened his mouth to voice his question, but Alastor silenced him with that look.
"Trust me," Alastor said softly, his tone brooking no argument. “It'll be perfect for a quick video. And after, we can come in and warm up.”
Charlie clapped her hands together, her eyes sparkling with barely contained excitement. "Perfect! Let's do it real quick, before midnight!"
The group shuffled out into the garden, a chorus of shivers and hushed complaints rising as the cold night air hit them. Lucifer, trailing behind, fumbled for the outdoor light switch with numb fingers.
"Got it!" he called out, his breath visible in the frigid air.
As the lights flickered to life, the gazebo transformed before their eyes.
The spacious structure stood like a beacon in the darkness, its white-painted wood gleaming softly. Delicate tendrils of frost clung to the railings, catching the light and sparkling like diamond dust.
Overhead, a canopy of twinkling fairy lights stretched across the rafters, casting a warm, golden glow that seemed to push back against the winter chill.
Despite the cold nipping at his exposed skin, Lucifer couldn't deny the romantic atmosphere Alastor had somehow orchestrated.
"Oh, it's perfect! Come on, you two!" Emily's excited voice broke through his reverie.
She ushered Lute and Vaggie towards the center of the gazebo, their footsteps echoing on the wooden planks.
“Lucifer, can I borrow your phone?” Alastor asked softly.
“Yeah, sure.” The blonde fished it out of his pocket, from underneath his fuzzy sweater.
Alastor tapped in the code with ease, but seemed to stumble finding the camera app.
Right. He had a flip phone until they started dating—when Lucifer got tired of not being able to video call his boyfriend.
Lucifer frowned, noticing Alastor fumbling with the device.
"Here, let me," Lucifer offered, reaching for the phone. "You know you're hopeless with technology, Al."
Alastor's grip tightened, his smile fixed.
"No need," he said, his voice carrying that same commanding edge from earlier. "I've got it under control."
"If you're sure…"Lucifer's frown deepened.
"Quite sure. Thank you, darling."
As Alastor turned away to focus on the sisters, Lucifer couldn't shake the feeling that he was missing something crucial. His lover’s secretive behavior, the insistence on this particular location…what did it add up to?
Lucifer would really, really like to know. Before he froze solid
"Does Adam even want me in this video? And why isn't Charlie joining us?" Vaggie's deadpan voice cut through the crisp night air.
Lucifer glanced at his daughter, who was hovering near the gazebo's railing, her fingers dancing over her phone screen. He raised an eyebrow, sensing the poorly concealed anxiety in her posture.
Emily waved off Vaggie's concerns with a laugh that sounded just a touch too bright. "Oh, don't be silly! Of course he wants to see you. And Charlie's just…busy with school stuff. Right, Charlie?"
"Hmm? Oh, yeah," Charlie mumbled, not looking up from her phone. "Super important email. Sorry!"
Since when did his ‘be in the moment, be present’ daughter answer emails on New Year’s Eve??
As Lute and Emily positioned themselves on either side of a reluctant Vaggie, Alastor began fiddling with the phone. Lucifer watched, his fingers absently tugging at the hem of his sweater, as Alastor repeatedly started and stopped the recording.
"Blast," Alastor muttered, his usual smooth demeanor slipping. "Something seems to be wrong with the device. Emily, would you mind lending your expertise?"
Lucifer blinked in surprise. "I could help," he offered again, stepping forward. "I'm not completely hopeless with—"
"No!" Alastor's voice came out sharper than intended, causing Lucifer to flinch slightly. Alastor softened his tone. "No, darling. I'm sure Emily can assist. You just…stay right there, if you would."
Confusion and a hint of hurt swirled in Lucifer's chest, watching as Emily hurried over to Alastor, leaving her sisters standing awkwardly in the gazebo's center.
“Great,” Vaggie muttered.
Alastor's warm breath tickled Lucifer's ear as he leaned in close, his voice dropping to a low, commanding timbre that sent shivers down Lucifer's spine. "Stay still and quiet, darling. That's an order."
Lucifer's eyes widened, a mix of arousal and bewilderment flooding his system.
“Sweetheart…right, now?” His gaze darted nervously to the others, but they seemed preoccupied with the supposed camera malfunction.
"When I move," Alastor continued, his lips barely moving, "you're to stay glued to my side. Understood?"
Swallowing hard, Lucifer managed a shaky, "Yes."
Alastor's eyebrow arched, a dangerous glint in his hazel eyes. "Yes, what?"
A thrill raced through Lucifer's body, his cheeks flushing as he responded as softly as he could, "Yes, sir."
"Good boy," Alastor purred, before turning his attention back to the others. "Emily, dear, why don't you try adjusting the angle? Lute, Vaggie, please stay where you are for now."
As Emily redirected the camera, exaggeratedly frowning and muttering about technical difficulties.
Alastor smoothly stepped to the side. True to his word, Lucifer moved with him, their bodies nearly touching.
Though Lucifer still had no idea what the hell the brunette was planning.
Still, he was hyper-aware of Alastor's proximity, the warmth radiating from his lean frame.
"Oh dear," Emily sighed dramatically. "It's still not working properly. Lute, could you come take a look?"
As Lute moved to help, Alastor subtly shifted again, and Lucifer followed in perfect sync.
Though confusion still clouded his mind, Lucifer couldn't deny the odd sense of peace that settled over him, surrendering to Alastor's silent control.
As Lute stepped forward, everything in front of him snapped into place.
Charlie was kneeling behind Vaggie.
Lucifer’s golden eyes widened, heart leaping into his throat as he took in the sight of his daughter.
"Wait, is she going to—she is, isn't she?" Lucifer gasped, his voice rising with excitement.
Vaggie's brow furrowed. "What?" She began to turn, her folded arms falling to her sides.
Before Lucifer could utter another word, Alastor's hand clamped firmly over his mouth.
Lucifer flailed, muffled protests escaping against Alastor's palm as he struggled to contain his overwhelming joy.
Alastor's rich chuckle vibrated against Lucifer's ear. "I need you to breathe and—oh, I don't know—not ruin the moment?" His voice was warm with amusement. "You're like a puppy at Christmas."
The blonde man was immediately torn between indignation at being stifled and the thrill of Alastor's touch. His eyes darted between Alastor and the unfolding scene.
"Shh," The brunette soothed, his breath tickling Lucifer's neck.
Lucifer's shoulders sagged, reluctantly as he complied with a little nod of his head.
"That's it," Alastor murmured approvingly. "Just breathe."
As Vaggie turned fully, her stoic demeanor crumbled.
Her hand flew to her mouth, dark eyes widening as she took in the sight of Charlie down on one knee.
The twinkling fairy lights cast a soft glow on Charlie's face, illuminating her radiant smile.
"Vaggie, you've been my partner in everything—life, love, bad karaoke—and I can't imagine doing any of it without you. Will you marry me?" Charlie's voice, steady yet brimming with love, filled the gazebo.
Lucifer's heart swelled with pride and joy.
His daughter's words, so sincere and full of affection, brought tears to his eyes.
Instead, Lucifer vibrated with barely contained excitement.
Alastor's grip on Lucifer tightened slightly. "Let them have their moment." he whispered, his lips brushing against Lucifer's ear.
But Lucifer couldn't help himself.
He bounced on his toes, a muffled squeal of delight escaping past Alastor's fingers.
His golden eyes darted between Charlie's hopeful face and Vaggie's stunned expression, drinking in every detail of this precious moment.
Sensing Lucifer's impending outburst, Alastor swiftly dragged him backward, out of the frame of the video. "You can celebrate in about thirty seconds, darling," he murmured, his tone both amused and commanding. "Compose yourself."
Lucifer whimpered softly, torn between obeying Alastor and rushing to embrace his daughter. He settled for clutching Alastor's arm, his fingers digging into the fabric of his boyfriend's sleeve as he waited with bated breath for Vaggie's response.
"Charlie…Of course I will, you absolute dork," Vaggie's voice steady despite the emotion evident in her misty gaze.
The group erupted into cheers, the joyous sound echoing through the twinkling gazebo.
Charlie, beaming with unbridled happiness, slipped the ring onto Vaggie's finger with trembling hands. Before jumping up to practically tackle her girlfriend—fiance—in a kiss.
Lucifer felt Alastor tighten his hold for a beat, or three, before his grip finally loosened.
And the blonde wasted no time.
He practically bounded across the gazebo, sweeping both Charlie and Vaggie into a crushing hug.
"I knew it!" he exclaimed, his voice cracking with emotion. "I knew you were planning something incredible! This is perfect!"
The signs had been there, he realized, but he'd been too caught up in his own insecurities to piece it together. Now, though, all he felt was overwhelming joy and pride.
"Dad, you're squishing us," Charlie laughed, her voice muffled against Vaggie’s dark hair/
Lucifer loosened his grip slightly but didn't let go. "Sorry, sweetie. I'm just so happy for you both." He turned to Vaggie, his eyes twinkling. "Welcome to the family, officially!"
From the edge of the gazebo, Alastor watched the scene unfold, an amused smirk playing on his lips as he smoothed down his coat.
Lucifer caught his eye under Charlie's arm, mouthing a silent 'thank you' to his boyfriend for helping orchestrate this perfect moment.
***
The excitement of the proposal had mellowed into a contented buzz, and everyone had retreated indoors to escape the chill.
While Lucifer excitedly uncorked the champagne early, Charlie leaned against the kitchen beside Alastor, their shoulders just barely touching.
"I can't believe we pulled it off," she murmured, her voice soft with wonder. She turned to face him, a grateful smile spreading across her face. "I couldn't have done this without you, Al. You always know how to handle Dad."
"Your father is…perhaps overcompensating for past absences," Alastor chuckled, adjusting his glasses. "But I must admit, watching him nearly vibrate out of his skin with excitement was quite entertaining."
Charlie giggled, the sound bringing a genuine smile to Alastor's usually composed features. He inclined his head, his hazel eyes softening as he regarded her.
"Anything for you, my dear," he said, his tone uncharacteristically gentle. Then, unable to resist, he added with a hint of his usual dry humor, "Though I do expect at least a mention in the wedding toast."
"Oh, you!" Charlie laughed, throwing her arms around him in a tight hug.
Alastor stiffened for a moment, still unused to such open displays of affection, before relaxing into the embrace.
As he patted her back awkwardly, he caught sight of Lucifer watching them from inside, a knowing smile on his face.
Alastor felt a warmth spread through his chest that had nothing to do with the champagne.
As Charlie pulled away, still beaming, Alastor allowed himself a small, private smile. Perhaps, he mused, there was more to gain from letting people in than he'd previously thought.
Charlie's eyes sparkled with mischief as she pulled back from the hug, her blonde hair catching the soft glow from the kitchen.
"You know what, Al? I can do you one better than just a mention in a toast."
"Oh? And what might that be, my dear?" Alastor raised an eyebrow, curiosity piqued.
Charlie took a deep breath, her excitement barely contained. "Will you be my Man of Honor for the wedding?"
"I…what?"
For once, Alastor's carefully cultivated composure slipped. His eyes widened behind his glasses, mouth slightly agape.
A giggle escaped Charlie's lips at his stunned expression. "You know, like a Maid of Honor, but…well, you're a man. C'mon, Al," she pleaded, grabbing his hands. "You're my best friend. I wouldn't want it to be anyone else."
Alastor was still stun-locked.
This role would put him squarely in the spotlight at her wedding, with her family, who were also Lucifer’s family.
And yet, the earnestness in Charlie's eyes tugged at something deep within him.
He chuckled softly, feeling an unfamiliar warmth spread through his chest. "Well, my dear," he said, his voice regaining its usual smooth cadence, "how could I possibly refuse such an honor?"
Charlie squealed in delight, bouncing on her toes.
Alastor's lips curved into a genuine smile—she was her father’s daughter then.
"A toast, then," he announced, raising his champagne flute. "To your Man of Honor."
The crystal clinked softly as they touched glasses. As Charlie beamed at him, Alastor felt a mixture of affection and trepidation.
What exactly had he just agreed to? Planning a wedding, choosing dresses, managing family drama…he wondered what he'd gotten himself into.
But as he caught sight of Lucifer near the fire, beaming over Vaggie’s ring, watching them with a soft, proud smile, Alastor realized that perhaps this new adventure wouldn't be so bad after all.

𓇼 NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTIONS: SERIN KAPLAN 𓇼
serin doesn’t really believe in the whole "new year, new me" sentiment. to her, change comes through calculated effort, not arbitrary dates on a calendar. but this year, there’s something about the crispness of january air in palmview and the quiet moments between chaos that’s making her pause. maybe 2025 isn’t about reinvention but refinement. she’s already serin kaplan, the opulent. now, she’s figuring out how to wield that power even better.
THREE GOALS FOR 2025:
expand her professional empire. serin doesn’t just want to create; she wants to dominate. this year, she plans to design her first solo couture collection under the palmview fashion house label and ensure it’s unforgettable. a vogue feature by year’s end wouldn’t hurt either.
reinforce her independence. her life is hers to dictate. this year, serin plans to deepen the distance between herself and her family, especially her parents. no more meddling or guilt trips. she’s worked too hard to be tethered to their expectations.
love on her own terms. serin isn’t looking for romance. it’s messy and far too complicated. but if she does indulge (and let’s face it, she probably will), it’s going to be on her terms. she wants passion without chaos. intensity without losing herself. maybe leon crosses her mind too often for her own liking.
IDEAL AESTHETIC FOR 2025:
chic, sleek, and intimidatingly luxurious. think monochrome palettes with statement pieces that turn heads — polished gold details, silk scarves, structured blazers, and heels that scream don’t waste my time. everything about her is curated to perfection — just like her life.
THREE WORDS TO DESCRIBE HER FEELINGS ABOUT 2025:
ambitious. unrelenting. guarded.
VACATION PLANS FOR 2025:
serin doesn’t "plan” vacations; she lets them happen when she decides she deserves a break. maybe a spontaneous trip to paris during fashion week or a long weekend in the maldives to escape the palmview drama. she’s thinking about milan too — purely for inspiration, of course.
DOES SERIN BELIEVE IN NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTIONS?
“do i believe in them? no. do i see their utility for some people? sure.” resolutions aren’t serin’s style. she’s already setting goals for herself every day. if something needs fixing, she fixes it. if she wants something, she gets it. she doesn’t wait for january 1st to make it happen. but the quiet reflection of the new year has given her a chance to recalibrate — and she’s fine with that.
WHAT DOES SHE WANT TO LEAVE IN 2024?
the lingering traces of guilt that her family can manipulate her with. she wants to leave behind any hesitation in pursuing what she wants — what she deserves. most of all, serin wants to let go of any lingering doubt about her place in palmview. she belongs here, and this year, she’s going to prove it.

A Message To The World
I know that a lot has happened this year, not just on a personal level, but worldwide too. I know there’s many things still happening. I know things are bleak on many levels. But they always say it’s darkest before the dawn. I’m really proud of everyone who’s keeping hope alive in these times. Keep the fires in your hearts warm, everyone. We need each other more than ever.
So that’s what I want everyone to remember this Christmas and as we enter 2024. Even though it’s easy to feel alone, the amount of people coming together for good causes worldwide has truly restored my faith in humanity. If there’s anything that this tumultuous year has taught me, it’s that now, more than ever before, we need to stand together. Shoulder to shoulder. Hand in hand.
Humanity is a powerful force. Ultimately, the forces of good will triumph. Those who seek to divide and conquer us don’t stand a chance, when all is said and done.
This Christmas, I wish - no, I pray - for all wars to end, for all who are trapped to be free, for the hellish heat consuming our planet to be cooled down, for the wealth to be shared equally among us all and for humanity to rebuild and rise from the ashes once again. I know it can happen. I know we can make it happen. And I know that a higher power - whether you believe it comes from God(s), from within our hearts or both - will guide us to victory.
Next year is going to be the Year of the Dragon, according to the Chinese zodiac. Specifically, 2024 will be the year of the wood dragon, a symbol of new beginnings and prosperity. I feel pretty optimistic about the future in that regard, on a personal level and as a whole. And I’m going to let that optimism fuel me when taking action. I will never stop striving for a better world, a new world. A post-capitalist world.
The world’s healing journey may be a long one. The healing journeys we all take will also be long. But we will get there. We will achieve our goals. The capitalist system will not survive. But we will. We will rise again.
Let’s all make a New Year’s resolution; to do all that we can to make a positive impact on our world. Whether that’s engaging in activism, spreading awareness, educating ourselves, or just building ourselves and the ones we love up. Everything we do counts.
To the reader of this post, you may wonder “what can I do? I’m just one person”. You are capable of more than you realise. Whatever challenges you’re facing, you can and will overcome them. Whichever battles you’re fighting, you will win. I believe in you. I believe in us, all the good people of the world.
The oppressors will fall from power. We will not only survive, but with time, we will thrive again. Keep fighting. Keep doing all that you can. Keep striving. Keep your hope alive.
Stay safe, everyone. It’s going to be ok. The sun will rise again.

Happy New Year! Ready to start Manifesting???
I can’t believe how quickly the year went by. Are you excited for this year? I know I am. This is the time where there are endless opportunities to re-invent yourself and your life.
Here’s your New Year's Affirmation. Repeat after me:
This is the year I manifest my dream life.
Because let me tell you, you definitely can!
The energy of the new year is one of clear, abundant energy. Everything that happened in the past doesn’t matter anymore. You get to decide where to go from here on out. So, if you’ve been unconsciously manifesting things you rather not experience (we all do), now is the time to shift that energy and manifest new, beautiful and abundant things into your life.
The new year is one of the best times to manifest new things into your life, so take advantage of it!
You’ve set your intentions through new year resolutions and now it’s time to keep that manifesting energy going. Don’t know how? I’ve got you so covered.
I’ve dabbled in a lot of manifestation practices, but there is one practice that I always keep coming back to and that’s a vision board.
Creating a vision board is so much fun and they make such powerful manifestation tools. Because you are placing your attention and creative energy into making your vision board, your intentions are amplified and you’re more likely to manifest your desires into your life.
If you’re not sure how to start a vision board or need a little guidance, check out my post on How to Create a Vision Board and Achieve your Goals, where I take you step by step to create the best vision board to manifest your dreams.
So, it’s time to get creative and completely re-invent your life. Grab a board, some fun decorations and get to work!
Happy Manifesting!
Until next time, Andie🥰

@tophatz asked: 12. entry made discussing their hopes and dreams. (( Also ps. THIS MEME IS LITERALLY MADE FOR JEKYLL HOLY WOW. ))
December 31st, 11:20 P.M.
The new year is nearly upon us, and there is still so much I wanted to accomplish before this year is over. But I am undeterred. I will simply adjust my goals and resolutions for the upcoming year appropriately.
In the short term, I would like to read at least one hundred books again this year. I have met this goal last year, and I wish to meet it again this year — the only problem being that I will be incredibly busy with my upcoming experiments this new year.
Speaking of said experiments, I wish to expand my work to the real world, use test subjects for my analyses. I know this is a massive step to take, and it is likely going to take months, if not more, to be approved, but I am determined, and I believe that determination is enough to accomplish almost anything.
I would also like to work on my physique. This is not a specific goal, and I know this, but I believe that exercise, even in small doses, contributes greatly to a happy and healthy life. I am no athlete, nor do I wish to be; I simply desire a body that I can be more confident in.
In the long term, I wish to change the world. This has been my goal from the start. It sounds absurd, I know, but it is certainly possible. I know how intelligent I am. I know I can work hard to achieve my dreams. I simply wish to be remembered as a brilliant scientist, someone who not only accomplished great things, but [someone] who helped others do the same. I know not exactly what I will accomplish, but I do know that I have a unique perspective and innovative ideas, ideas that others are either impressed by or horrified by. To be honest, I don’t mind either way, as long as they have an impact.
It is almost midnight. This year has been quite an eventful one, and I have accomplished much, but there is still more that must be done. I’m looking forward to facing the challenges head-on. And even if times get hard, I shall never give up on my dreams.

My Goals for 2025!
Yeah, I know we're in February. But I've only just launched this Patreon account and in my defence, this post was created in January (just saying).
A few days after New Years, it suddenly occurred to me that I’ve never made any New Year's resolutions like the vast majority of people. I guess I’ve never really seen the point. My general goal has always been to try and make the next year better than the last. But is that enough? From personal experience, I would have to say the answer’s probably no. Maybe this is because I’ve never actually made a plan for how I'll achieve this goal, and where’s that ever gotten me? I think what I’m starting to realise is that if you want something to change, the next step is to actually change something.
I’m not going to start making New Year's resolutions this year, but I’m going to try and formulate some sort of plan to achieve certain goals throughout the year. But I’m going to need your help! I’ve always been one for procrastinating and starting something that I never go on to finish. 2025 is going to be the year that that’s going to change and it’s going to be because of you and me. I’m going to put in the work to turn a lot of things around, and you’re going to make sure that I follow through and complete all my goals. You’re going to hold me accountable throughout 2025!
They’re not going to be earth-shattering goals. I’m not going to claim that I'll travel the world or become a millionaire because neither of these are attainable (this year). But that doesn’t mean that I’m not going to be just a tiny bit ambitious. When we both evolve and grow ourselves, things will evolve and grow around us (that’s what I believe at least). For the first time in a long time, I think I’m in a position where I want things to evolve and grow. Previously, I’ve been more than content in the limbo of believing I wanted change without actually being ready for it. But, just maybe, I might be ready now.
So, my 10 goals for 2025 are;
1. Complete the first draft of my fantasy novel
It’s three years last month since I had the idea that sparked my love for writing once more. The idea has evolved and taken shape over three years, sometimes frustrating both me and those around to no end. There have been more revisions than I care to count or admit, and the world it’s become probably couldn’t be further from the one it started out as. All that being said, one of my main goals for 2025 is to finally finish my first draft and begin to look for a literary agent to eventually have it published sometime in the near future.
Whilst I might keep the deep-lying details to myself (sorry in advance), I’ll be practically always talking about it and keeping everyone updated on its progress, so make sure you all remind me of this come December later this year.
2. Find acceptable financial security
This feels like one of the most significant goals for this year as it would take the most progress and make the most change. I won’t lie, my aspiration is for the blog and all other branches to make some sort of steady income whilst also aiming to go on and become a successful author. My imagination is my best asset and it's truly the only thing I really understand. I’ve also found that I work better as my own boss (I can’t be the only one who thinks they work better than their own boss, surely?)
When I say that I aim to have some sort of financial security, I don’t mean that I’m aiming to have enough money to buy or rent my own house or anything (although that would be nice). I mean it in a way so that I can buy presents for people on their birthdays and Christmas without having to accept well-meaning handouts. Of course I appreciate the sentiment, but the reminder that I don’t have much money is never a good feeling.

Photo Blogging Challenge (January 2025): New year, new me!
My goodness. Time really does move fast, doesn’t it? First, let me say that I don’t believe in New Year’s resolutions. In fact, I think when people do them (most), they end up failing because of the pressure behind them. How many people do you know who are going to go the gym or whatever and then fizzle out? Exactly. Instead, I kind of work on goals and such and I start them whenever I feel it…

Entry 15: How I Turned My First Month of the Year Into the Most Productive Yet!
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/5de508a89cf53cfb296706c1441d3369/e82d30f9cccd5888-f5/s540x810/fbbfdebd02e748c5cc603820606849d4327bc820.jpg)
To begin, here's what I didn’t do,
I didn’t grab a pen and a piece of paper to jot down New Year’s resolutions.
I didn’t create a daily to-do list or get lost in a wave of high expectations.
Instead, I took the most important step in being productive: finding out why I wasn’t.
Since you're reading this, I’m guessing you don’t see yourself as an example of productivity. That’s alright, we’ve all been there. But on a serious note, why don’t you?
For me, the answer lies in two things: inertia and fear.
I believe that striking a problem’s source is more effective than rubbing the symptoms with a cold towel.
The comfort of being the same
Inertia isn’t just something you find in moving cars—humans are, for lack of a better term, inertiacs by nature.
After all, “we’re creatures of habit.” right?
If humans have a superpower, it’s the ability to adapt. From the harshest environments to the most extreme situations, we’ve found a way to survive. Except maybe the sun—though who knows? Maybe we’ll conquer that one, too.
But here's the catch: our incredible adaptability comes with a side effect—our tendency to stay as we are.
Take moving into a new apartment.
At first, everything feels weird. The smell, the layout, the missing coziness. You spend days or months getting used to the place. But if you had to move again, you'd probably look back with painful longing.
That same attachment to the familiar is what often leads to unproductivity.
You fall into a routine, one that feels safe and predictable. And even if you want to change, your nature resists. You’re not giving yourself the chance to try something new.
But that’s just one side of the equation.
The fear of what you could be
For me, this was the hardest part to accept.
Why on earth would I be afraid of becoming better? Why fear the idea of publishing my first book—or starting another one?
To be honest with you, I still don’t know why. But thankfully, you don’t have to either.
I remember sitting down one night, an ordinary evening, and writing down all my “would-be” fears.
I had one simple goal, to start a blog. But the shadows were coming out of the woodwork.
I wrote the first fear down, then the second, and looked up from my frantic writing after the third.
I read it only once, to realize these fears looked more and more like an excuse than anything else.
I don’t have the time.
Will I love blogging? What if I give up after a couple of days?
It'll need too much effort.
What if I fail?
Keeping It Simple
I decided to face my fears (Uhm, excuses) one by one.
I do have enough time.
I will love blogging and I won’t give it up after a few days.
Yes, it will require effort, but that’s perfectly ok.
The only true failure is throwing in the towel, as long as I don’t quit, there is no such thing as failure.
That was a step forward, but inertia was still an issue.
I could feel the resistance coming over me every step of the way. Every new progress I made, my inner voice would butt in and say ‘Are you really going to change, leave all of this behind?’
I lost count of how many times I almost listened. But I didn’t.
After many pep talks and crazy self-motivation, I managed to push through.
Turns out, talking to yourself out loud can have wonders for the soul.
I’d beaten the inertia, but I couldn’t afford to hesitate. I knew that if I waited even a minute longer, the resistance would come back.
I didn’t think, ‘I’ll start tomorrow.’ I said, ‘It begins tonight.’ and thank god, it did.
It’s okay to relax now and then, but…
That perfect moment? It doesn’t exist.
I’ll say it again: the perfect moment you’ve been waiting for? It won’t come. Tomorrow isn’t real. The past is gone, and all we have is the present.
The now is what matters. The now is everything.
Or as they say, “There’s no time like the present.”
This month has been incredible, and I hope it’s just the beginning—for both you and me.
Until next time,
Adeus.
