89 total, 26 from this year! i've been publishing on ao3 since 2019. my grand dream was to reach 100 by the end of this year but uh. that was ambitious. clearly.

this one was super fun to write at the time but i do look back on it and like. think a lot about all the things i could improve about it lol. the perfectionist in me has a hard time with this one partially because it's my most popular fic. by like. an INSANE margin. like it's not even close. i mean overall i'm pretty proud of it and i'm SUPER happy and honored people read it, i just think i could do the concept better if i tried it again now.

clean hands to hold him with, a clean house to love him with (sakuatsu/miya twins genfic, 4070 words)

this one started as a short tumblr fic that i made into a longer thing to publish on ao3, and i'm really glad i did. i'm very proud of this fic i think, especially given that i'd never really written osamu before. i'm also really happy with the way atsumu turned out in this one.

where a laugh meets a cry (tamakyo, 5351 words)

i'm still really proud of this one lol. it makes me so happy that it's one of my most popular because i really did put so much love into it. i do think my characterization of tamakyo (kyoya especially) has grown a lot since this, but i'm still really happy with how this turned out. also the response it got was genuinely overwhelming with how kind and generous people were with it, so it has a special place in my heart because of that too.

LMFAO i didn't actually realize this was one of my top fics. but i'm glancing through it now and honestly? not my worst work.

yeah, i respond to all of them! sometimes it takes me like. a month. but i will pretty much always eventually get back to a comment. i'm so so so grateful every time i get a comment, and i genuinely LOVE hearing people's thoughts on my silly little works! it makes me so happy to read comments and so i always want to give my thanks back :)

What's the fic you've written with the angstiest ending?

hmmm the first one to come to mind was "in the arms of loyalty and the hands of devotion" because it has MCD and i'm really proud of how i wove that narrative together to end with that, but then i thought about it and i've fully written multiple MCD fics lol. i think "all the things he left you with in the aftermath (& all you'd do to get him back)" does really interesting things with death and hope and tragedy, so i might say that one though.

What's the fic you've written with the happiest ending?

i feel like i mostly write happy endings? so depends what you're looking for in happy tbh. "gonna build you a bridge over the pacific" has a really sweet ending imo and i'm really happy with the way that one turned out.

Do you write crossovers?

not really? i don't think i ever have, now that i think about it. i've written AUs of other media i like, but never a legit crossover. i don't really read them either.

Have you ever received hate on a fic?

like yes and no. there was someone(s?) who was really offended by "i've got the matchmaker on speed dial" because kyoya is half-latino in that fic and i got an upset comment and ask lol. but that was resolved pretty quickly imo, so i'm not too hung up about it.

Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

i would be too powerful if i was capable of writing smut so god gave me an extra dose of internalized shame and anxiety to keep my writing prowess in check.

back in my wattpad days i did!! me and a friend wrote a [redacted] fic about [redacted]. i haven't since then though. tbh i'd still be open to trying it out, but i think we'd have to have an established friendship already, and we'd have to be REALLY clear about responsibilities.

What's your all-time favourite ship?

this is an evil question and i refuse to answer it.

What's a WIP that you want to finish but don't think you ever will?

sighing. i am haunted by so many WIPs. i have two drafts for the next pieces to the hearts of our own design series but they've been sitting there for so long. i also have an iwaoi confession/coming out/feelings realization fic that sits and laughs at me while i struggle to write a sentence.

What are your writing strengths?

i think i'm good at capturing emotions in general? idk. i really enjoy figuring out how to describe feelings because they can often be so complex and contradictory. i also have a really hard time describing my OWN feelings, so i get a lot of satisfaction from being able to realistically capture emotion in a character lol. i think even if a character is in a deeply unrelatable position, i'm alright at making it understandable. idk.

What are your writing weaknesses?

dialogue fr. i struggle so much with making characters TALK. a lot of the storytelling pillars i'm at least decent or passable at: i can do the thought process, i can do the character analysis, i can do the scenic descriptions, i can do the sensory feelings. but oh my god i start writing dialogue and the whole time i'm in my head wailing WOULD HE FUCKING SAY THAT.

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

i don't actually have many opinions on this tbh. i think if it's done, like, badly then it's super jarring and frustrating to read. if it's done well, like go for it ig. but that's kinda just true of everything. all in all, you can make it work for sure if you do it right. it's not really something i'm interested in doing though, stylistically.

What's a fandom/ship you haven't written for but want to?

i don't think there's anything really lined up right now! i'm chipping away at my holiday fics and my spotify wrapped prompts and having a good time with those. i'm not really putting anything off atm.

What's your favourite fic you've written?

Beetlejuice 2 actually just bummed me out

Man, I was so hyped for this film, and in the end I was just kinda...eh.

There were moments that made me laugh, but like in the end it was an all around let down. It felt like a series of events just happening until it all collided into...nothing really

Spoilers from here on out

Biggest problem. The trailers made it seem Delores was gonna have a bigger role, but looking back, other than the plotline where Beetlejuice wants to marry Lydia so he won't have to get back with Delores, they could've gotten rid of her and come up with a new motivation.

But I'm not saying get rid of her tho, I wish she could've had a bigger role. While we saw her in small chunks throughout the film, I think having it crescendo at the end to her being the main threat would've been much more satisfying, instead of her just getting fucking sandwormed along with the loser fiance dude, who honestly got way too many lines for how purposefully annoying as hell they made him.

I get that was the point with his character, he's this movie's version of Otho, same snootiness and all, but even the first movie used Otho sparingly...

At least this guy was more deserving of being sandwormed lol

Willem Dafoe character was also one I wish had a bigger role, literally didn't do anything in the end either. His job was to tell Beetle about Delores, and then get frozen at the climax to achieve nothing ultimately, which is part of the joke I guess.

The beginning of the movie focuses on setting up a lot, but then the writers clearly realized how bloated their script, was at the end, cause then they just started doing stuff like, getting rid of one of the antagonists, sidelining one of the antagonists, and then sidelining another antagonist, and then introducing Astrid's father, which, I have like a theory that was made as a substitute for an Adam and Barbara reunion, cause like, it really just felt super tacked on.

If anything a Barbara and Adam reunion would've made more sense, but I get that Alec Baldwin is kinda... in trouble, and Geena Davis is...Actually I dunno what she's doing :v

And I know I'm complaining a lot for something that's like a solid 6, but like, I can't stop thinking that like, did this have to be made? Did this specific sequence of events have to be made? I'm not asking for hype bait, I'm not asking for like a big crossover, I'm asking for the writers to have looked at their script one more time lol

Cause like this bloated sequence of events just kind of led to something that made me go... ok😐

The biggest red flag when I first saw the trailer was seeing that at least 2 of the main writers were writers for Wednesday, like, I cannot with that show😔

There were in fact positives that I might illustrate in a future post, but that was my first impression. I just left the theater feeling like I wanted my money back;-;

Ghost trick!!!! Loved this game it was exactly what I expected from a Shu Takumi game. I do hope they plan to make a sequel or crossover, I really loved the mechanics of this game.

Summary

Shu Takumi has done it again (even though this is a remaster lol). What and incredible mystery game with really fun mechanics. There were definitely a couple times I was stumped on what to do or was stuck bc I missed my window of opportunity, but I think it worked well since the puzzles were difficulty and you couldn't just immediately breeze past them all. I also really enjoyed gaining missile's abilities later and having to think of the puzzles in different ways. The characters and animations/sprites were really fun. There's so much personality in them without even saying a word. The game also reveals character information in a really good way as you slowly learn more about the mystery of the game yet also feels like you're getting farther from learning who you are. I also just love how this game is just made with so much love for Takumi's real pets and how Sissel ended up being Yomiel's beloved cat... what a sweet ending oh my god. Each level had such a fun and unique design while also adding a twist to the puzzle, like the stealth level or submarine sinking level. The game also has many unlockable achievements to encourage replayability as well as concept art and other illustrations to unlock. There's so much added to this game and you can really feel the love and care the team put into this game, I hope there are more Ghost Trick games in the future or hopefully even a Ghost trick x Ace Attorney crossover -- I wonder how that would play out esp with Maya's spirit abilities. All in all, such a sweet and fun game. Not too long either. Can't wait to replay it to get all the achievements and make fanart!

ohm y god i literally have so many episode ideas but i'll try not to repeat any of the ones i've made posts about (except my first bullet bc im so passionate about it) so i'll give you my big list. most if not all will likely be something i DO end up writing about in my own story because ehehe i love making them do things

ones i think i've mentioned before:

a returning to minnesota chapter!! not for anything but nostalgia, getting to see the guy's favorite places, seeing their friends and families, bringing them back to realize how far they'd come. not so shy spon for my fic but i wrote a chapter like this last month and it's probably one of my favorite things i've written to date. it let me explore some of the boys' past, family dynamics, a little bit about Katie and agh i can't believe btr didn't capitalize on that at least once. ik its expensive to fund sets and hire new actors but idk i imagine it like an hour special where they could afford to shell out a bit more. idc when it happens, could be after they sign their record contract or the last episode or whatever :)

sketch comedy episode, something akin to saturday night live or so random

graduation! like you and i talked about lol i think it would be sweet

get me in the writers room stat:

originally i'd planned a "home alone lost in new york" like chapter for my story around thanksgiving where the boys are going to perform at the parade in town but they end up having their own adventure around the city beforehand. boyish antics, screaming gustavo, beautiful scenes, the works. i was just in too much of a slump to actually put it to paper :)

more tour-focused chapters (again, spon for my own fic lol) the episode in Canada was cute and the one on the bus was fun but idk there's just so many elements toward touring that i think they could've capitalized on; homesickness (for CA or MN), hardship of a go go go schedule, or fun things like being able to travel with your best friends and not ending up on the world's most wanted list lol. i know they tried really hard with this one so i don't blame them too much but my vision is just different and that's okay!

crossovers! while i'm so very happy dan schnider didn't have either of his disgusting hands in big time rush, i do remember watching the icarly/victorious crossover for the first time and wishing big time rush were there. it takes place in LA! the victorious kids are singers! carly, sam, and Freddie are pop culture experts! it would've worked really well :) so i'm writing that as a chapter for my fic LMAO

generally either an episode focusing in on or more scenes including james and lucy since the writers wanted them to be together so bad. inherently there's nothing wrong with them being together, but i do not think the relationship was given enough time to develop. give me lucy discovering her feelings for him, give me james not being creepy and obsessive about her; something more needed to be done on both of their parts to make me believe in it

additionally on that note more with jo/kendall and logan/camille; i love them both but they also had little development, just more than james/lucy. maybe they give carlos a gf (not alexa IMO, sorry. that got into weird territory for me idk why they made him be with a "real" person when he isn't other than they were already together irl) earlier and they can all have like conversations about their gfs and how much they love being together idk

and another generally, there were many songs btr put out that i love so much and feel like deserved their own episodes for hehe. i know not all of them have storylines easily transposed but i think they used confetti falling like four different times in the last season when any other love song from their third album could have been placed instead

and also another generally, and i know the early 2000s would've never allowed this for children's television but they should have and i'm the writer now!!!, but more representation all around. maybe some episodes about cultural heritage that didn't make stereotypes the main focus, canon LGBTQIA+ characters, holidays that aren't christmas, aspects like that where all kids can see themselves represented... LA is such a huge melting pot, it's not all white kids trying to make their dreams come true!

good god that was long SORRY AKJBSKJGBAB i have a lot to say and there's a lot im trying to incorporate into my story to add in what i think enhances the already present storyline. that's what's so beautiful about fandom, i love that we can have conversations like this :)

vegas and porsche are childhood friends ala gina and jake: gun had cut ties with korn many years ago so he is a weirdo loser dad who has atrocious fashion sense but is so damn hot (ex piya is so goddamn attractive) instead of the abusive monster he is in canon— something HAS to have made him pull pete's mom!

as a result, tankhun and kinn have too little memories of vegas, and kim didn't even meet him and macau until many years later

kinn and vegas meet at the police academy, where they had a tiny bit of rivalry but nothing major, despite korn's efforts lol

vegas has A LOT of fun messing with kinn tho: he secretly thinks his older cousin is so cute when taking everything he says and does ultra serious

however, it will be years before kinn and porsche meet when kinn transfers to porsche and vegas' unit: kinn DID know of porsche though, through vegas' stories

although personality wise, it's vegas as gina and tankhun as the combination of hitchcock and scully in this AU, i think in terms of profession, they should switch: so vegas is a detective and tankhun is chan's assistant lol

macau is the only theerapanyakul not in the law enforcement: he is actually a... wait for it... FIREFIGHTER!!

vegas wouldn't find out he was pete's cousin until much later, like, after they spent many wild nights together. it was... awkward to say the least. not that it stopped them from continuing in secret after returning home. i mean, clearly, seeing as vegas got PREGNANT

tankhun: never thought vegas would be the first to have kids. i thought for sure kinn would have all of us beat there, i remember how slutty he was in college. vegas apparently wasn't that different but kinn was a league of his own

How many works do you have on ao3? Aw man, you made me log into my AO3 account? I haven't been around there recently because I feel bad about leaving some messages unanswered. Tumbletown is my main fic home and I haven't really had the time to post here, much less on AO3. (Answer the question Adira.) It says I have 19. I don't post there until they're here and sometimes don't crosspost. Mainly I've been posting over there only if I have a complete series, although sorry LMR readers both there AND here.

2. What's your total ao3 word count? 260,317. Seeing as how not even half of my fic is up over there, I cringe to think of what my actual wordcount is.

3. What fandoms do you write for? Pedro Pascal. Which is an umbrella for the actual fandoms contained therein.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? I don't like to leave angst hanging and only use it as a trampoline for a happy ending, but I guess the closest thing I have would be A Kiss Before Dying and in Death We Combine. Even if it ends in "death," at least they get to be together.

7. What is the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? All of them? LOL. Of the multi-chapters I've actually finished, probably A Girl Walks Into a Bookshop.

8. Do you get hate on fics? Only in passing. There were the mean girls that were kind of being catty over on a few other blogs about GTTT when it blew up much to my surprise (yes, of course I saw all of that, mean girls gonna mean). I remember some comment about not trivializing massage therapists just because I have a shitty back.... and all I could think was, hey. First of all, I can tell you didn't even read it, you're just mad about it blowing up. Not my fault. Next. Don't talk about my back. You wouldn't like being injured and having people talk smack about a piece of your body that gives you pain beyond comprehension, y'bigot. Also not my fault. Once I realized they were just mean girls meaning, I let it roll off and got my own satisfaction by writing a pretty bomb series based on some of their prompt lists that I never would have seen if I hadn't been clued into the smack. Turn that hate into something great!

9. Do you write smut? I do. Not exclusively and it's never the main dish of the story. If it does show up, it's usually the result of a long period of longing and/or feelings exchange.

10. Craziest crossover? I'm not a crossover gal. Every once in a while I'll write an easter egg into another fic (there are several in GTTT), but nothing heavy duty. There was the time The Mandalorian got something of a cameo in a Sweet's fic tho....

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? Oh gods, I hope not. That would suck. I hate blocking people.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated? YES! But not in the way you might think! @katareyoudrilling did an amazing job translating the first chapter of Good. Things. Take. Time. into a sexytime roleplay script!!!! I'M STILL SQUEEING ABOUT IT.

13. Have you co-written a fic before? In a way. For a while when RP accounts were in full swing, I was falling very much in love with the adventure I was creating with @morally-gray-prospector. That account was so amazing, run by one of the smartest writers I've ever known here, but they were TOO good and poured themselves generously into their responses, which got them quite a following...and they burned themselves out! While my story with Ezra didn't have an ending, I never expected it to. I meant it when I said it to the writer: I'm just so happy to have an adventure with Ezra and every minute working on it was a joy that I will love forever. I'm glad they had fun too and didn't keep pushing themselves when it was no longer sustainable. <3

All time favorite ship? It's Din and Little Bird. Now that I know how that story is going to soft-end, they're my favorite couple of all time.

What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you will Oh, I'll finish them all. Right now, Branded is in the most danger of lingering, since I have to figure some stuff out with them. But if I could solve the puzzle of Losing My Religion, then I have no doubt that I'm eventually going to get on with that one too.

What are your writing strengths? I don't know what my strengths are, but I like the magic of showing without showing. I like pacing. I enjoy trying to get the characters' voices right and make the dialog real.

What are your writing weaknesses? I am slow. And I make a show of "not following the rules" as if I'm some kind of rebel, but really, I'm just bad at following rules!!!!

Thoughts on dialogue in another language I try to avoid it for the most part because I usually mess it up pretty badly. I generally don't write Din in Mando'a because I haven't really heard him speak it in the series and he seems to always default to Basic even if he understands it spoken to him, so I can't shake the feeling that it's out of character. But Little Bird is a Mandalorophile, so she'd definitely know it and use it. I do sometimes pull in Spanish for Sweets, but it's usually because it's two characters who actually would speak it when Sunday's not around, and even then I try to make sure it's basic enough for folks to follow. The one time I tried to put Italian in I messed it up pretty good, but a beautiful reader helped correct it for me and I'm so so so grateful. <3

First fandom you wrote for I know I have a Doctor Who piece in a notebook somewhere hidden away. And I most likely have a slew of Ranma pieces from my college days. Were there any before that? Possibly.

Favorite fic you've written I have too many. I write really slow, so if it's actually made it to Tumbles, that means I loved it enough to manifest it. Some of them I love because of the fandom, some because of the relationship, some because of the world building, some because of the interaction, and most because of the good time I had writing it. Right now I'm seeing people reading Losing My Religion, and I've had reason to dip into some of those chapters and re-read a little and it's reminded me how much I love writing for the Star Wars universe, how much confidence I have in it. That was the first fic I really wrote, and I put so much of myself into it... so if I choose a favorite, I'll point there first even if it's not really finished yet.

1. How many works do you have on AO3?

53 total, technically 1 of those is under a different pseud because it's the only fic I ported from FF.net onto Ao3 and I used my FF username as the pseud for that reason.

2. What’s your total AO3 word count? 

Just checked and apparently it is 2,416,967 .... sooo that's totally normal right?!?!!

3. What fandoms do you write for?

I struggle to write for more than 1 fandom at a time so right now I'm pretty much only writing Shadowzel from BG3.

BUT the others I've written for are, in order of recency:

Yep, no surprises there. But actually my 6th is Choni: She Didn't Know It Then but seems like my older fics from the fandom that was probably the biggest I've been in have the most kudos, makes sense to me hehe!

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

I try to respond to as many comments as I can while I'm posting. Unless I feel the urgent need to respond to a comment, I only respond when I'm at my desk about to update. So I don't usually respond once a fic is finished unless the comment really compels me to. This is simply a time and effort kinda situation, I read them in my email and they always make my day, and I'm always happy to respond on social media if anyone ever wants to chat about any of my fics!

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

The angstiest ending?! Uhhh I'm a happy ending girlie. I guess technically it's probably one of my Hosie oneshots in my A World Where I Was Yours series, just because it's my version of post canon of Legacies!

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

There are too many happy endings in my fics for me to decide aaahhhh. Ummmm. Maybe it's hard to breathe (when you're in the air) which is one of my favorite Hosie fics that I wrote?? but idk seriously they're all happy endings in terms of the pairing so it comes down to which characters in which fics had the happiest overall life situation and there are too many to think about it lol!

8. Do you get hate on fics?

I've gotten negative comments for sure but I dunno if I'd call it hate exactly. The negative comment that I remember the most was on a Choni fic and they complained that the characters were too OOC, and it was nooooot done constructively at all and someone else (possibly same person different guest user) piled on even more rudely... so that wasn't fun (and also yeah all my characters are kinda OOC because that's what happens when you write AU?)

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Yes, yes I do. I feel like it's fairly vanilla. I used to mark everything rated M before I was informed that perhaps I've been writing E smut without realizing it lmao. So now I rate new fics with smut as E.

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

I haven't ever posted any crossovers, but I did start one that was a Legacies/The Runaways crossover because of an idea that seriously amused me, but once I wrote the premise I got bored and stopped lol.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not a whole fic but back in my FF days someone took a Halloween Party chapter (wow I write those a lot actually, I'm not even a Halloween party girlie) and used it as a flashback on their Wattpad fic and someone kindly let me know and I had to message them to take it down.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated? 

Yes! I had a few fics back on FF.net that were translated into French :) but the deal was that I wanted to post them because I wasn't comfy with someone else doing the posting of my ideas. And now I typically turn down offers of translation just because I'm less comfy with it now then I was when I was younger.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? 

I haven't, but I'd be open to doing so if it was for an idea I felt like me and the other author(s) were really vibing with!

14. What’s your all-time favourite ship? 

Impossible question. Whichever ship I'm currently obsessing over is my all-time favorite. Which would be Shadowzel rn. But probably in a few years I'll feel differently lol. I strongly feel that all the ships I've ever shipped are the best ever and I cannot choose a favorite.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Sooo many. I have a ton of Choni WIPs that I never finished, including one that got to like 20-30k words but just sits all dusty in its word folder. I once started a Part 3 to my Clexa travel fic (Come With Me linked earlier) that I couldn't get into but the vision was soooo cute. I also started a Part 3 to my Choni travel fic which also had a great vision but I'm just not as into Choni anymore so it feels hard to go back to now.

16. What are your writing strengths? 

I think I'm good at dialogue and characterization, those are my favorite parts of my own writing at least!

17. What are your writing weaknesses? 

Dude. I apparently cannot get enough of adverbs. I have to prune so many when I'm editing fics. Ugh. And I have some repetitive phrases that I also end up having to prune out.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? 

I've done it before with google translate and made modifications when people who spoke those languages corrected me haha. But it's not something I do often just because it hasn't really been super relevant to most of what I write.

19. First fandom you wrote for? 

Glee. It was Glee. I was 13. We don't need to talk about it.

20. Favourite fic you’ve written? 

My favorite?!!? It's always my latest fic, I pretty much always feel like the latest thing I'm working on is the best and so it's my favorite right now for sure. And that would be Reignited (Shadowzel).

3. what fandoms do you write for? supernatural. i have one rdr2 fic published and i privately write greys anatomy fic sometimes

4. top five fics by kudos: DSM-V, dawn breaks overhead, a confession; a misunderstanding, i hate you for what you did and i miss you like a little kid, he stares at the stars; they stare back. i find this so interesting because half of these are some of my least favorites lol

5. do you respond to comments? usually! sometimes i forget or don't have the time/energy, but every comment means a lot to me and i try to make it known

6. what is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? i usually write fics with happy endings because it makes me happy lol. a lot of my endings are melancholy at best though. my claire study, i'm sorry i'm the one you love is definitely my saddest. needless to say i was going through it at the time of writing. also my entire divorce series which i totally forgot about even writing

7. what's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? my first thought was divine intervention and it definitely is happy as a stand-alone fic, but with the context of timshel it's pretty bittersweet. so maybe timshel is the happiest ending? DSM-V is a pretty happy ending too. augh! hard to say

8. do you get hate on fics? i haven't gotten any so far!

9. do you write smut? sometimes, but i feel like it always comes out very awkward and wrong. writing lesbians has helped me fix that lol

10. craziest crossover? my abandoned grey's anatomy/supernatural au is sitting in my dusty google docs

16. what are your writing strengths? i'd say dialogue! i think i'm pretty good at getting in a character's head, and i've been told i write good dean dialogue :)

17. what are your writing weaknesses? actions i'd say. not just fighting scenes but just... what a character is doing. i think i also write too fast-paced which i'd like to get better at

18. thoughts on dialogue in another language? i'm conversational in french but 1) don't write french characters and 2) find translating to be very clumsy. i sometimes translate small phrases into enochian when i write cas, but that too is always frustrating given it's not a real language. in general i often find other languages to be jarring in dialogue. i don't know how to describe it other than it just feeling very forced.

19. favorite fic you've written? can i do top three? i'm doing top three. in no particular order

dead woman, enter stage left: this is one of my favorites plot-wise and just as a character study. though i enjoyed writing it and the ideas i had for it, i feel like i didn't portray everything the way i wanted to and could've done a better job. but i love this one! jo! and my own made-up amara lore!

DSM-V: another big struggle. fun fact i'm currently rewriting it completely. this is another fic where i had a lot of ideas but didn't give myself enough time to completely realize them, and it comes off very rushed and unnuanced. i also hate the way i handled dean's thoughts in the narrative. NO MORE RELYING ON ITALICS! it introduced me to some amazing mutuals and is my major hit, and i love it! it started as a crack fic and no, i still haven't told my therapist about it. amy if you're reading this i promise i don't have secret feelings for you i just thought this was a really funny idea and had just binge-watched fleabag

devotion: nothing much to say it's just hot and emotional and i love the way it came out

Tbh, I kind of can imagine that? Maybe bevause I watched the show first and shortly after finishing it I went to the books... But I get what you're saying and I'm ready for him to fight back and even snap if he wants to. Have you reas New Tales of the Vampires and Mayfair Witches too? Do you like them? I've decided to read all of them at least once, just to understand more of this universe as a whole and then re-read the ones that are relevant to the show and/or I enjoyed the most. I finished Pandora yesterday and now I'm around 80 pages into Blood and Gold. I loved the former, B&G is too early to tell, but I admit Marius is not my favorite, so who knows... But I'm excited to see Pandora and Bianca again, including any appearance of Armand, even if it's brief. I struggled with Memnoch, but the chapter he was in was 100% chef's kiss 0 notes from me. 😍 Anyway, why do you feel that way about Rolin? Has he said anything frustrating? I haven't seen many interviews yet, and the few I have, it's mostly with the actors. I see people's interpretations of his interviews on the tag all the time, but I've seen so much distortion and stuff taken out of context on other fandoms before that I want to fact-check first. And I will eventually, it's just that right now I'm prioritizing the books because I'm sick of seeing different opinions all the time and not being able to join book discourse. 😅 But I believe it would be creative suicide to waste the potential of such compelling characters, specially someone as rich in terms of baggage and development as Armand. His arc is so eventful and touching that he could have his own show with 10 seasons and 200 episodes tbh. And don't worry about Tumblr being weird and the late reply, I just enjoy chatting, whenever that happens. I can take long to reply too, so I get it. For me getting a proper answer is better than a fast one. It's all good. 💗

I'm going to be wailing and tearing my hair if we don't see him having fun while committing some terrible harm next season 🥺 Getting ready to hunt Malik isn't enough, I need him to tear somebody's scalp off for no real reason except that he likes their hair.

I've read Pandora and Vittorio, although I have to admit Vittorio left no impression on me whatsoever and I couldn't tell you anything about it except that there were no returning characters in it, lol. But Pandora is great! It's kind of revelatory to see who she was before the catatonic despair, she's so fiery and alive, and funny and rude. The only downside is that it makes seeing her so dead inside later on sad ): I read The Witching Hour a thousand years ago, too, but it didn't really grab me. I didn't dislike it as such, I just didn't click with it. It might have just been bias due to hating the witch/vampire crossovers so much, though ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Blood and Gold is compelling to me, even if there are some things that make me grind my teeth pretty hard (Bianca got such a raw fucking deal, and oh my god the theater era, I'll basically accept not trying to get him out of the cult due to fear/shame/Akasha but there’s no reason not to send him a letter like 'Hey Amadeo, I'm alive, glad you made it out'). But he's got a lot of depth to his character, and he makes it pretty clear that he knows why he keeps ending up alone. And as a Roman history enjoyer*, Marius' idealization of Rome is exactly what you'd expect from an Augustan era wannabe-patrician (his half-Gaulish ass was definitionally a plebeian). Is it distasteful to the modern reader? Absolutely! But that was a highly typical perspective then.

Rolin Jones, well, I'll say two things: his fixation on everything having to serve loustat is starting to warp the basic sense and structure of the show, and reading the s2e8 script made me realize that he does too much cocaine. I don't think he has a clear vision of the show beyond romance and badass moments, I think the other writers are the ones trying to do something more. And like...how many times does he have to say that Daniel’s turning was spiteful and will never be shown before people believe him? Why would he keep downplaying and trying to manage expectations for D/M, a highly popular and acclaimed aspect of the books, if he actually intends to spend much time on it? Why would he try to unhype his own show? I'm at work so it's hard to dredge up citations, but his choices themselves are indicative imo.

Oh, I know what you mean, some people are incredibly dishonest, or maybe just delusional, about the book content. Or maybe I'm being ungenerous and they make these grand declarations because they sincerely don't understand what they just read, who knows? But people will tell you nonsense like that Lestat never loved Armand, which is simply a stupid thing to say, because they're pathologically insecure about their otp and try to establish themself as such an authority that nobody feels the need to see for themselves. Mad respect to you for going to the books 😊

*Not that kind of Roman history enjoyer, of course, it was a dumpster fire that is a far better cautionary tale than anything to admire and only a lunatic would try to emulate ancient Rome. But god damn, it's fascinating.

2. what's your total ao3 word count?

189,718. this does not surprise me.

3. what fandoms do you write for?

ace attorney and very rarely ff7 and the last of us.

4. what are your top five fics by kudos?

late night (257 kudos), tasting (121 kudos), finality (114 kudos), alive (91 kudos), distance (88 kudos) all of these are ace attorney, three of them are part of a series lol.

if we want to include my art that i've posted to ao3, holding would actually be in second place, with 218 kudos.

theoretically another fic should be in the top five instead but i left it out because i just don't like it and don't plan to update it again/will prob remove it at some point (it was my first in the fandom, was trying to do a case fic before realizing i am bad at them).

5. do you respond to comments?

i try to always respond but sometimes i just don't know what to say! that being said i am always open to chatting about my fics. please. please talk to me oh my god i want to talk about ace attorney.

6. what is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

oughhhh....... i guess no one told me it would be beautiful? it's one of my shortest fics and part of just a short series of a post-apocalypse au. it's not exactly the angstiest ending, i have another series in mind for that, but the whole fic has an undertone of angst, and series will too. i just write it in spurts when i feel the need to write something that isn't one of my WIPs.

7. what’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

i think most of my fics end on a sort of higher note! my fics have strong undertones of angst but with lighter endings, but i think the winner would go to status :) because it's the happy ending to the long angsty series! and also it just makes me happy, i feel like i really stuck the landing, we get to see the boys laugh over the most absurd situation and it makes me laugh too.

8. do you get hate on fics?

i've never gotten hate on a fic but shortly after i posted fic that met this description in the tags once, someone i follow made a post making fun of the idea that edgeworth would ever be a sexy dom. listen we are all playing in our own sandboxes.

9. do you write smut? if so, what kind?

we all know me, come on now. i write trans phoenix getting railed in all configurations smut. every e-rated fic has at least one creampie. we know this.

i don't, but i do have one in mind. i've been planning a severance ace attorney fic for a long time.

i think i'm best at writing dialogue honestly, that is what i love to write the most, especially arguments. otherwise in the Real World i am very good at writing passive-aggressive but still somehow polite and professional emails to get shit done.

i have a lot of problems with just repetitive vocab.

18. thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

i have a lot of feelings on this i can't exactly elucidate well. i only speak english fluently. i have a very beginner's knowledge in french. i'm also indigenous, but i don't speak the language of my people, which despite being one of the largest indigenous speech communities in the US, still only has around 2,000 native speakers.

so... i have a lot of feelings about language that take up a lot of space in my chest. but i just am kind of stuck writing in english. if i need to write dialogue in another language, i try to source from friends who speak the language first, then elsewhere on the internet if i don't know anyone directly who speaks it (e.g. asking in a public discord or reddit or somewhere), and use online translation tools as a last resort.

19. first fandom you wrote for?

theoretically it was accidentally tomb raider when i was in 3rd grade but i didn't know that's what i was doing at the time. intentionally, the first fic i ever wrote fanfic for was ff7.

20. favorite fic you’ve written?

i really and truly cannot choose here. it's like picking your favorite child. for the writing skills alone i have to pick wait for the morning (unfinished, i'm sorry). clarity is another one i think shows off some writing skills, idk, i just like it! for the characterization, something about decadence really floats my boat. and for the one that really earns its e-rating, it's tasting (especially chapter 3), my magnum opus of smut.

i've written for a lot of fandoms, but my current active ones are MacGyver (2016), ROTTMNT, and the batfam

4. what are your top 5 fics by kudos?

buried hope - tim spends another birthday alone and makes bad decisions, lots of angst and some jason being (reluctantly) protective, my favorite thing. krow made me a cover for this fic and i absolutely ADORE IT.

Familial Bonds - crack-ish fic where the fam finds out tim has been minus a spleen for months and didn't tell anyone. i have an angstier version of this fic lmfao.

Late Night Encounters - a classic! it is so very dear to me. jason meets tim late one night after patrol and doesn't realize he's looking at tim drake, the robin he's sort of trying to murk, and ends up really caring for this tiny little kid.

My House of Stone, Your Ivy Grows - jason rescues tim as a civilian and his attempt at getting revenge is thwarted by big brother protective instincts. a CLASSIC TROPE.

Fever Dream - tim has a nightmare the night jason as red hood shows up at titan tower and thinks he's straight up hallucinating jason lmao.

5. do you respond to comments?

i try my best but i am a very anxious person and i tend to bluescreen anytime i receive praise and all i think i could manage to say in reply is just keyboard smash. sometimes if i'm asked a question or if it's a close friend, i'll reply.

usually it takes me a long time to do so, but i'm trying to be better at replying to comments 💪

6. what is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

oh i've got a few hurt/no comfort fics but i think i'd have to say my one and only MCD fic. it's part of my urban fantasy series that is very dear to me <3 i DID cry writing it, yes.

i have a handful of fluff fics with no or minimal angst, but i think my favorite one is this extremely silly one i wrote for my urban fantasy AU, Summer Memories, with dick and jason

8. do you get hate on fics?

rarely, which i'm so thankful for. i don't even bother wasting my time with those, i just immediately delete them.

9. do you write smut? If so, what kind?

i don't lol.

not really. i have exactly one (1) crossover fic and it's actually the very first fic i posted on ao3!

as far as i'm aware, nope.

no, not yet!

yes! there's a round robin fic i wrote with my friends in our batfam server!! it was genuinely so much fun i'd absolutely love to do another round robin fic.

i also have a 911 series with @dottie-wan-kenobi and @they-reap-what-we-sow that originated as a discord thread where we gave buck a daughter pre him joining the 118 (that i have yet to post something for. one day, i promise). it's one of my favorite AUs we came up with, and boy did we come up with a lot of those lmao.

14. What's your all-time favorite ship?

honestly? probably several, but i'm currently rewatching narnia with my sisters and susan pevensie and prince caspian had SUCH an impact on 7 year old me.

15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you will?

oh boy. i don't talk about this fic for several reasons (one of them being that it was written when i was very new to the batfam fandom and the way i wrote most characters was influenced by fanon, which i've definitely grown past now) but Born to Run is a fic i'm... unfortunately not sure i'll ever finish. maybe one day i'll rewrite it because i still really like the concept, but i'm focused on other projects and it's not actually very high up on my list of WIPs.

(i think you can tell i was really new to the fandom with that fic, and to fic writing in general (prior to this fic i'd only written like, 3 others?) my writing has improved a LOT since then and i cringe just thinking about my old writing)

16. What are your writing strengths?

oh boy lmao. i suck at answering questions like that because i tend to fixate much more on my weaknesses lol.

but i think i'm good at describing settings and feelings. i've been told in comments before that i'm very good at immersing my readers in the story i'm telling, which is the compliment EVER actually.

i also like to think i write good, human dialogue because i act it out a LOT with myself and probably look insane to anyone looking at me asjdskdfld

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

unless i can have a native speaker to check the grammar of the sentence for me, i don't usually write dialogue in another language. i don't trust google translate. anyway i do prefer writing the dialogue in english and in the dialogue tags add "she said in [x language]"

That's a tough question actually! I think it will be female faces and female bodies overall and long hair 'cos I love making them nice shapes '3'

14. How has your art changed over the years?

<2010 I started my drawing journay with drawing animals like lions/wolfs I tried imitating "Lion King" style but I do not have any artwork from this time ;; But I have artworks from 2012 which I think I was quite good already (*￣∀￣) Here it is, my lioness OCs: Xena and Hexa! (daughter and mother)

2011 (left) - I started drawing humans (manga style) after watching Pandora Hearts anime. Anatomy was really wanky - I clearly didn't know how to properly draw the shoulder/chest area, the clothes design was "edgy" 'cos I was 14yo lol, and of course, I was hiding hands 'cos I couldn't draw them all! And I didn't have a graphic tablet back then so all was traditionally made with crayons. I mostly drew character designs and my OCs, here is Alex.

2012 (right) - I already got a tablet and I was making digital drawings. I had the courage to try drawing hands, but the whole silhouette was really long and thin, and I was afraid to put more decent shadows but I started doing a little background.

2013 (left) -I was making more complex pieces but I didn't know shit about perspective and composition lol

2014 (right) - It was definitely a "gap year" in my art life I didn't draw much back then but definitely, I started using photo references to improve my artwork

2015 - 100% art block year ;; I stopped drawing, using DeviantArt, and just quit for a while

2016 - I was drawing again thanks to Metal Gear Solid games - It was the first time I was so involved to draw fan art (before I was worried that "my ugly art style will ruin my beloved characters" lol) and I made Tumblr account for it!

2017 (left) - Was completely dedicated to Ao no Exorcist manga, it help me make art again and enjoy M&A again but I stopped drawing my OCs thou I practiced more while doing study characters, sketching more, teaching myself from YouTube, etc

2018 (right) - Here I was switching to My Hero Academia fandom but also I was making fan arts/ crossovers for different shows and I was improving my coloring/shading style etc and started making commissions

2019 (left) - Burnout year again;; I was drawing VERY little and mostly it was sketches for series I watched

2020 (right) - I decided to come back to drawing and open commission - I was doing mostly My Hero academia commissions and thanks to that I seriously started working on my background in artwork and my skill overall and I think it was a time when I realized that drawing come very easy that I had a certain level/skill which made less frustration about how and what I drew

2021 > I mostly focused on commission and improving my artwork!

That was a long post but so fun to make and reflect a little bit! Thank you to all people who sent me asks! I was really supries how many itwas (that's why I took me so long! ;;) I will do it againg in the future for sure! but maybe with questions made by me? who knows! (*￣∀￣)

How in the ever-loving gourd has it been ten years? Time is an illusion that I stopped seeing ages ago.

10 years ago, at the tail end of 2013, I had a huge, friendship-ending fight that shattered me. In an attempt to keep myself together, I hid behind a character and wrote the most self-indulgent crossover fic I'd ever concocted. After 5 years, 2 rewrites, too many OCs to count, magic mechanics I didn't think through, and conversations with my former best friend about what had happened, I finally let that fic rest. I knew that if I tried to continue it, I'd never move on, as the very basis of it was focused on that fight.

But it was still such a colossal part of my life. 5 years to spend on a project is no laughing matter, and it felt like it was the only trustworthy constant as I struggled to make my way through everything going on around me. It invaded RPs with friends and basically everything I did...and that wasn't always a good thing. It was a coping mechanism that went too far, but I still cherished it so much.

Things never got anywhere near back to how they had been before that fight. But I learned a lot about myself and how to better handle problems I hadn't realized I was creating. I feel like being forced to think about it while writing the original Mooniverse helped me come to terms with it and move on--which was, of course, the intention all along! But it came to a point where I knew it had to end.

There was never any rhyme or reason to that fic, in any version of it. I wrote it purely to have fun and go wild. It's so odd looking back at the chapters now; I keep laughing at how things went without direction. But it was pure and adorable and I'll always look back at it fondly...beyond the cringing at how much I shoved it in my friends' faces.

For…I was going to say over a year, but I feel like 2 would be more accurate. For about 2 years now, I've struggled to create anything. Both art and writing have felt impossible. I burned out on most of my personal projects without realizing it until last month, but that realization took a weight off of me. And without that weight, as I realized the anniversary that was coming up, I was able to create something on nothing but a whim and enjoy it again.

My art block certainly isn't gone, and nothing about this is what I'd consider perfect. It's not even finished. But I set the sketch as my goal, trying to keep the pressure low, in hopes that I'd be able to post it at all. I do want to touch it up and finish it one day, but I'm not going to worry about that now.

I have been a bit inspired, though! I want to do more things like this. Like the original Mooniverse Melodia and the final one standing side by side here, I want to pull together more OCs with such connections and growth and see how far they've come. I don't know how much of that I'll accomplish, but it's been fun to think about for sure.

I hope everyone's holidays have gone well and that your plans for the new year are fulfilling. I think this year is going to go a lot better for me than the last.

-- I knew most of my art problems were from my difficulty and dislike of drawing bodies, so to make this possible at all, I used a base.

I also very much referenced the original image, the hair of Love Live and Idolmaster characters, and self-made bases from Shugo Chara, both due to time constraints and to keep my sanity. I'm very out of practice and didn't want to get so frustrated I abandoned the drawing altogether.

Man, I wonder what could it be? Could it be-It's Naejunko, at this point it's fucking obvious.

None really, If I see a ship I don't like that he has I shrug and move on.

The one from THH, it's a no brainer really, it has drip up the wazoo.

Unluckily lucky guy filled with Hope and Determination for eternity.

People don't realize how cool he is.

The one with the males from Class 78, also the one he has with Hajime and Shuichi in the UTDP/DRS universe.

The one from THH all the way up to DR3.

Also the one he has in DRS where he saves everyone from Monokuma even if he got his ass kicked.

None that I think are bad.

I had a long complicated story in my head about how he obtained his hoodie that's too long to explain here.

"No that's wrong!" When his parents were feeling down on themselves.

18:How do you think he was a child?

A nice kid, maybe a little more reserved and a loner, though that's because I think he was more of a loner Pre-Hope's Peak

19:The most random ship people have with him.

20:A weird headcanon.

I like to think he likes the delinquent/dark aesthetic which is why he dressed the way he does.

He also doesn't like being compared to an angel cause he likes the aesthetic and look of a demon more, a friendly demon obviously.

21:When do you think he was at his happiest?

In Hope's Peak with Class 78, his friends and his girlfriend Junko before everything went to hell.

22:When do you think he was at his lowest?

After the end of the first class trial after he found out that Sayaka backstabbed him and that she's now dead, plus the fact Leon died too.

23:Future Headcanon.

He holds out for Junko and never seeks another til his final days.

I think he's the last of Class 78...and the last person related to Hope's Peak during the time he entered the school to die, his luck was so potent that it kept him alive til his 150s.

24:What do you think is a secret he never told anyone?

That he wet the bed til 5th grade, what else?

25:When do you think he acted his most OOC?

Not really have an specific moment...I guess that he didn't broke out of the Despair brainwashing by his own?

26:When do you think he was "himself" the most?

Facing Junko in the last class trial and constantly standing up to her til he defeated her.

27:If he could meet a character from another series. Who would be the most fun of him to meet?

Aside from my crossover ships...

I guess meeting STC Sonic because how both of them are so similar yet so different at the same time.

28:The most unnecessary things he ever did?

...I guess him trying to save the Remnants? He didn't have to do it and nobody would have blamed him if he didn't, but he choose to save them anyways...and that's why he is so great.

29:How do you think he would be as a parent?

I think he be a nice and doting parent who let's his kids have their own space.

30:The funniest scene he had?

I think whenever he sasses up his classmates is funny, especially cause I always imagine him doing Ina deadpan manner.

I just got my kufiyeh from Palestine in the other day, and learning the many ways of wearing it is so interesting, something so new to me that to many other people is just a normal, everyday part of getting ready. Learning it gives you that Connected Humanity feeling you know? Respectfully making something from another culture (with permission) that's part of their normal day to day, part of your normal day to day. And that me participating makes them safer to participate in their own culture around me (which im thrilled to do but also deeply feel how sad that is).

Funny enough I get this same feeling from wigs, when I started wearing them and had to learn all the new things, terms, products, knowing/finding out that it is really is just everyday stuff for a lot of Black American women, going into walmart still desperately searching for a good wig glue and the black woman seeing that the white worker had no idea what i was talking about at all so she stopped to give me suggestions and i was so thankful lol.

Learning to celebrate Dia de los Muertos does that too. I grew up in areas that had large hispanic populations (specifically Mexican), right now we are stuck in cape cod and it feels weird. I knew halloween decor of sugar skulls was looked down upon, and people try to get me stuff like that all the time since im Goth, so, skulls. I made a point to look really hard into fully understanding the holiday and how it is separate from halloween. I realized, many parts of it were things my family had made into traditions and rituals, we just didn't realize the connection. I started celebrating seriously and teaching people who asked about it. I already had an altar close to an ofrenda, and we make papel picado and tissue paper marigolds. I havent taken a shot at sugar skulls, as I want to celebrate separate of that for some time, as a white person respecting the holiday, since that aspect is so commercialized. We try to make foods that were liked by the people we are remembering (try as in work schedules suck and keep us very busy around that time), unfortunately means we usually also have Domino's and pepsi cuz that was my brother's favorite even if I dont like it hahaha. I cant wait to move back to my true home and participate locally in celebrations and learn from people of the community rather than just lil ol me trying hard at my house all alone (in this monoculture place).

Also makes me think about the Quetzalcoatl sculpture I made. I needed a wind theme, and it is my favorite sculpture that I've made and luckily managed to keep it intact so far thrugh multiple moves. It's very detailed and required a lot of work and care. I posted it to deviantart after a made it. At one point, a girl who noted she was Mexican commented, and she was so happy to see the sculpture, and that someone outside of her culture had taken such great care to represent something from HER culture when it was often looked down upon in America. I was sooo happy it meant so much to her!

Idk, this turned into a ramble i suppose. I just really, deeply appreciate cultural crossover and finding joy in things other people hold as deep parts of themselves and sharing back and forth. I never used tiktok but im thrilled people reaction to it getting banned for racist reasons is to go on a chinese app and people are learning chinese and helping the people of China with their english homework and stuff lmao. Im glad we're all on the same planet and there's such variety and so much to learn and enjoy with other people.
