Okay, you can’t say episode 6 was bad or skip-worthy just because we didn’t get Agatha and Rio interaction. WE NEEDED THE BACKSTORY IN ORDER TO MOVE FORWARD.

And damn, it was well done. It evoked a lot of emotions. I can’t stop thinking about how Billy has been coping for three years after having his short life ripped away from him.

And you don’t have to worry about Lilia and Jen. If you watched the midseason trailer you know they’re in an abandoned subway station or whatever.

Spilling the Tea in Ireland

Jennifer Aydin admitted that she loved to taunt Margaret Josephs about Laura and watch her sweat. 

She’s clearly not over what happened last year.

She and Teresa Giudice acted like they were never going to address what Laura had told them, but it’s clear that they love that they have this information.

Danielle Cabral couldn’t help herself. She was dying to know what Laura had told them. 

And after all her promises about not sharing this story, Jennifer told her!

Laura had told Jennifer and Teresa that someone Marge knows had found Melissa Gorga in the backseat of a car, making out with another guy.

And according to Jennifer, Teresa believes this to be true!

To Danielle it now makes perfect sense why she didn’t want to have Melissa as a bridesmaid in her wedding.

But she immediately regretted being so nosy. She can’t keep this secret for long. 

As we’ve seen in the midseason trailer, she’s the one who tells Melissa about this.

Probably in a retaliation to Marge, because she said in the midseason trailer: “Meet the new Danielle. You created it.”

The women have gone to Ireland, a trip I’m extremely excited about, and they’re going to celebrate Teresa, like a bachelorette party.

It doesn’t feel completely authentic. It’s like the half of the group is happy for Teresa, while the other half couldn’t care less about her wedding.

Melissa and Marge had reacted to Teresa asking Jennifer and Dolores Catania to be her bridesmaids just a couple of weeks before the wedding.

It’s understandable that Melissa’s feelings are hurt, but why is she wanting everybody to have a problem with Teresa?

Does she want to alienate Teresa from the group? Marge and Jackie Goldschneider are always on her side. 

And now they’ve gained Rachel Fuda and Jennifer Fessler too!

When Jennifer told Melissa that Teresa had invited her to the wedding as an obligation, I almost gasped. This will not end well, I thought.

Even if Jennifer and Melissa appear to have a better relationship this year, things will change drastically, as we learned at Bravocon2022.

Please tell me what is Sk8 the Infinity Train WIP!! I love infinity train, so much so that I refused to watch the final episode bc I didn't want it to end (but now that we're getting more seasons i need to get on that)

Have...Have you not watched the season 4? (I mean, no shame. It only came out April 15th, all in one day) Do you not know that it is still cancelled and it was just misleading because they announced the cancellation before they even had season 4 trailers/were dumping 4 because it was already made?

There has been/is still serious campaigning to get seasons 5-8 picked up. It trended over the NFL draft on April 29th.

Tell me you have info I don’t, and we are getting more.

Oh man, if you haven’t watched the end of 3 yet, it’s pretty intense. We’re going to talk more about Infinity Train, but, first, the crossover fic. Most of this summary I’ve posted before, but people shall hear it again!

It will take place post season 3 of Infinity Train (and feature cameos from some familiar denizens and residents, some featuring more heavily than others. In fact, the opening may be Grace and Adam having a chat) and before Sk8 season one would have started.

Reki ends up on the train from some to be defined later event at S that tipped his feelings of inadequacy into overdrive, and put him on the same kind of spiral as in canon Sk8 midseason except this universe worse because he doesn’t have Langa or the squad from Sk8 proper. He just has skateboarding, and he’s “not even good at that.” Though typical angst isn’t enough for the train, so make the incident suitably dramatic.

Anyway

Reki soon meets Langa who has been on the train for a few months, since his father died and he stopped feeling anything. They hit it off instantly and become close, but Langa’s number….just doesn’t move, even when he starts showing more of a “spark” and takes actions (both good and bad) that you would think would move it one way or another.

Reki manipulates his number to stay with Langa, and soon doesn’t even have to do that because he starts to blame himself for Langa’s problem (which Langa himself, in Langa fashion, is pretty chill about) and this further immersion in believing himself only trouble and no good for anything mixed with refusal to address it and attempts to just mask over it….well, it doesn’t do any favors for his number either.

Reki is super perceptive in figuring out puzzles of different train cars though and building contraptions to make progress easier, so that’s something at least. Langa? Langa is just dazzling at whatever he tries…sorry, that’s the Reki voice coming out.

Along their journey, they meet Miya, sent to the train by isolation/abandonment issues from neglectful parents and friends breaking ties. Sprinkle in Miya-typical pride and stubbornness setting the ol’ numbers in motion. Now Miya I see as having run around with Apex for a bit, but then having gotten left behind on a raid or leaving on his own because “those slimes gave me a weird vibe.”

Now, Adam is a long-term resident (ever since his skateboard was burned), pretty much unhinged as you would expect, but seemingly pretty satisfied with life on the train–though he is a different genre of hedonist than Apex philosophy in that he loves the denizens of the train and relishes every meeting…for as long as they can be entertaining at least.

Tadashi entered the train at the same time, and, obviously, stays there for Adam–though that interpretation becomes debatable the more you study Tadashi and realize he ignores/worsens his own issues. (Hmm, maybe there is a lesson for Reki and Langa)

Kaoru and Kojiro enter the train at the same time (or close enough to it), but in separate cars, after a botched proposal. Kojiro proposed. Kaoru said no. Kojiro broke up with him completely. Both fall to pieces. Then it’s train time baby.

Who does Kaoru meet up with by chance and accident? His presumed dead/long time missing high school sweetheart Adam who traumatically up and disappeared one day. Kaoru had always thought Adam had runaway and had hoped he was happy somewhere, but had been heartbroken that Adam hadn’t asked him to come with him. 

You know I had to get the loveblossom in, not that it’s going to be about them. It’s just extra complications.

Hiromi/Shadow is the only one I didn’t have a train story for.

So I’ve watched (partially) leaked episodes of American Gods and there is no way I’m not gonna post about it.

Clear and explicit spoilers are under the cut, so read away at your own risk.

YOU’VE BEEN WARNED.

This is going to be mainly about the one and only, my love #1 Mad Sweeney.

Before I get down to business, I have to make some points clear.

1. In my opinion, AG is one of the BEST shows to grace our screens in many many long years, because:

It’s based on Neil Gaiman novel.

Storytelling is compelling.

Have you seen the editing? The lights and colors? The camera work?! This shit is AMAZING. There are few things I like more about the shows than good editing and visual aesthetics. And this right here? It’s pure pleasure.

The casting and acting is mind-blowing.

2. I know better than fixate on only one character, because the whole plot, the story in general is so much more than fate of one character (even if they’re the lead).

With that being stated in advance, I would like to clarify that AG is a complex story created through crossing paths of many different characters. It’s not about Mr. Wednesday, it’s not even about Shadow Moon and it’s sure as hell is not about Mad Sweeney.

But the latest was the reason why I was renewing AG and his tags this whole fucking week. So when THREE episodes (INCLUDED the one dedicated to Sweeney) were leaked in my country at three in the morning, I, tired from work and lack of sleep, naturally decided to give middle finger to my master’s thesis and watch them.

Unfortunately, I am no god and have basic human needs, so I’ve only watched parts regarding Sweeney, but I’m sure as hell watching whole episodes later.

And finally to the points:

Episode 2x05.

Sweeney thinking at first that Laura was an angel made me laugh so hard.

She was so fucking jealous of him, when he was flirting with this blonde girl! And then he looked right at Laura!!! He knew what he was doing and it was working!

He was so fucking jealous when this voodoo couple started to get sexy with Laura! Oh how he didn’t like it!

Let me tell you, this scene made me hot all over. He’s savage, huge and built like a brick wall. I’d climb this fine piece of fairy-godlike king any day any time.

At first I was disappointed because ‘THE HELL! So it was JUST the Horde and Sweeney’s deepest desires?! They’re gonna go and fuck different people’. I’d ideally prefer them to fuck each other, at the lack of better option this happening in an orgy, but to become swingers without actually having sex even once? C’mon guys! But my fears were in vain, eventually everything happened the way it should have happened.

Laura is so smol and Sweeney is HUGE. They’re outing my (enormous) size kink / height/built difference kink.

This scene was what I was anticipating since midseason 1 and I FINALLY GOT IT GODDAMIT!

First few seconds of ‘the morning after’ were just too damn hilarious.

Sweeney is not good at dealing with his shit, but Laura confirmed that she is way way worse. She didn’t know how to deal with him, this situation and her (or his for this matter) feelings anymore. So she fled and hurt my ginger giant bb in the process.

Episode 2x06.

There is no Laura or Sweeney in this one, so I skipped through it in like 5 min and understood next to nothing.

HOWEVER! This ep. featured my beautiful love #2 Tech Boy (a sight for sore eyes). In one of his recent interviews Bruce said that Tech Boy is a God of Technology, but technology can be many things. Like for our ancestors a sharp stone fixated on the end of the stick was already a technology. So maybe Tech Boy’s purpose is to renovate and update himself in accordance with the change of times. Maybe ithat’s what let him pass as the “New God”, when in reality he might be one of the oldest of the “Old Gods”. It’s an interesting theory and a glimpse of it is shown in ep. 6 through Tech Boy and Wednesday’s (!!!) common history, but in order to understand it I had to watch it, and now I have to prioritize and simply don’t have time for that. Though, my beautiful Tech Boy, I’m glad that you can show up at the most of unexpected of times and give me feels, when there’s not even one Sweeney within a mile.

Episode 2x07.

WHERE TO BEGIN!

In order to write this AND get some sleep I had to skip some parts of Sweeney’s story too, so please forgive me for any misunderstandings.

Of course I read all the theories based on what was in the book and how it correlated with the story in the show now. I was impatiently waiting and dreading this episode at the same time.

This ep. Sweeney was all about destruction and madness. More so than usual. He was unhinged and I loved him about it.

So much self-loathing. It was so brilliant I couldn’t watch it.

The fact that Sweeney couldn’t remember his own story was just plainly terrifying. When people loose faith in you and forget you it’s one thing. But when you loose faith in yourself so much that you can’t remember who you are anymore is depressing and legitimately scary.

He must have been freaking out of his fucking mind cause of constantly seeing Banshees. He might have told Shadow not to interfere, but he instantly knew that this time these women were crying for him.

I was happy to see that once, long long time ago he was loved. He knew what true happiness was. Even if we had to watch him fall so far (NOT HIS FAULT BY THE WAY).

I loved every single verbal drop about Sweeney caring for (possibility being nuts deep in love with) Laura:

How he couldn’t get it up for hot redheaded voodoo queen until she called him out on it.

How he was broken and laughing madly under this bridge about Laura leaving him AGAIN.

I hate Wednesday guts, but he saw right through Sweeney with this one eye of his. ‘She fucked you, broke your heart and left you’. Cruel, but hit too close to home.

Conversation with Salim. Sweeney: ‘It’s his fight, not yours. You don’t have to die. Just go and leave it all behind’. Salim: ‘No, I’m staying with him’. ‘Why?’ ‘I guess it’s what love is’. ‘Would he have done the same for you if the roles were reversed? What if someone ordered him to kill you? Would he have done that [while loving you]?’ ‘What do you mean?’ ‘Ugh, nothing. Forget it’. Like come on!!! This conversation takes place RIGHT AFTER Wednesday orders Sweeney to “finish his job” and kill Laura for good. Sweeney and Salim are talking about love and loved ones and what they would/wouldn’t have done for them! Sweeney’s implying Laura and love in one sentence! It’s the most explicit articulate closest to confession thing that we got from Sweeney aside from multiple defensive Fuck you’s said to different people and longing glances when she isn’t looking.

Little side note: Salim might be the sweetest person in the world but I wanted to punch him in the face so hard, when he said that it’s pointless to explain the concept of love to someone who’s never felt it. I know that Sweeney was never nice to him, but it’s rich coming from human to go and assume something about a creature that’s walked this Earth for centuries. You don’t know him well enough. So, please, kindly shut up.

(8) The bloodbath scene from times when Sweeney was a god once was just poetic cinema. I was SO looking forward to it when the trailer came out. Barbaric, savage, courageous, spear-throwing, ripping-out-throats-with-bare-teeth, crushing-skulls-with-bare-hands. Just the way I like them👌

(9) Sweeney with ass long red mane dressed in next to nothing but blue paint is the image that burnt into my mind and the reason I was living for.

(10) They fucking did it. They killed him. THEY BROKE ME.

Regarding Sweeney’s death I have QUITE A LOT OF THINGS TO SAY:

I knew it was coming but still hoped they wouldn’t go through with it. As much as it hurts, I respect this decision. Sometimes you have to do what you have to do and cut the cord. Sweeney’s death was in the book. It’s what was necessary for the story to move forward (see point 2 at the beginning of the post). It’s better this way than for his character to be dragged around the story just for fan service (as much as it pains me to admit it, BECAUSE I WANT THIS FAN SERVICE GODDAMIT!).

As far as I know in the book Shadow was indirectly involved in Sweeney’s death. It was honestly the redhead’s fault only. The way he went out was pathetic, so I’m glad that they changed it according with the development of tv character.

Shadow. You fucking gave your word. Not. To. Interfere. Fine, I get it, you’re Wednesday’s man, you have to protect him (even after Sweeney reveled the whole truth, seriously, Shadow?!), BUT DON’T GO POKE AT PEOPLE WITH A GIGANTIC POINTY STICK IF YOU DON’T KNOW HOW TO ISE IT!!! I know it was an accident, he didn’t truly MEAN it, but maybe it even makes it worse.

This ‘I’m sorry’, I can’t even discuss it. Sorry doesn’t fucking cut it, Shadow!!!

I know that people say that Shadow’s speech at Sweeney’s wake is a beautiful part of the book, but with the way things turned out in the show, I don’t think that Shadow deserves to make this speech.

Sweeney, my bb went out like a fucking champ. Ruining old fart’s plans and taking the spear somewhere he can never reach it anymore. My hero ❤️ I hope Wednesday didn’t foresee it and it wasn’t another grand part of his plans. I want Sweeney to fuck him up good. He died because he didn’t want to be Wednesday’s bitch and I wouldn’t want him to be that especially in his death.

I wish Laura could see it with her own eyes. The last big FUCK YOU from Mad Sweeney.

In conclusion:

Mad Sweeney was barely on Old Gods’ side, I bet he would have gone minding his own business if it wasn’t for Wednesday’s debt.

With Sweeney gone now, fuck the Old Gods, I’m going to the New Gods’ side.

But at the same time Tech Boy is “deleted” or “fired” or whatever.

So basically now, I don’t really give a shit who wins now and who loses. They can kill each other until no one’s left, for all I care.

AG is still great and moving forward.

I’m still interested in the story, but I can’t bring myself to be invested anymore.

SIDE NOTES:

I know better than to hope, but I need a reaction out of Laura regarding Sweeney’s death.

It’ll probably never happen, but I hope Laura will crush Shadow’s nuts.

And spears Mr. Wednesday.

I wonder how Laura’s undead state will be affected now with Sweeney and his horde and his magic gone. Will his lucky coin work the same?

Laura is capable of surviving and protecting herself. She needs no one to do that for her. But Sweeney was ready to run to her, do anything for her as soon as she snapped her fingers. How much will it affect her? Will she appreciate him now?

I might have had some other notes, but I’ve tried for 2,5 hours to carefully and logically arrange this post without insulting any character TOO MUCH and now my brain’s exploding.

Please, feel free to talk to me about the FEELS, because I’m heartbroken and don’t know how to deal with it.

Do you think they’re going to make Cisco wear those silly bandages the entire season long? Also can’t help noticing Iris has the most amazing clothes this season. I want everything she wears.

I don’t think Cisco will have to wear the bandages for the rest of season 5. He’s been healing from the injuries Cicada inflicted on him and even if his powers aren’t back at 100% yet, I think he’s healed enough that he doesn’t need them anymore. After the midseason finale, I think Cisco’s first arc of dealing with his injury is over and he’ll move on to some other strife with his powers.

I agree about Iris’ wardrobe. The costume department has been amazing to her. I really love her style. I’ve always loved her style, but in season 4, I feel like for some reason they were putting Iris in too many sweaters that all looked the same. She wore a very baggy white or grey sweater in like 5 episodes of season 4, and that mediocre look got old. Thankfully, they’re back to dressing Iris fabulously in season 5 and it makes us appreciate it even more after season 4.

Disappointed in the new trailer. The first one looked intense with a lot of drama about the Nora/Thawne storyline. Helbing said that they were jumping right into that in episode 10. The new trailer looks like random filler with a dumb car.

I was confused by the second trailer for 5x10 too. It was a major shift in tone and didn’t show anything new related to the most anticipated moments shown in the first trailer. I’m not going to judge the episode yet though. We have to watch it to know if it’s good. I think there will be a lighter subplot with the villain of the week and this car, but mixed in will be Nora and Thawne’s backstory and how Barry reacts once he discovers they’re working together.

Happy Friday!! We’re back at it again, with an exclusive profile of the one, the only @fandomtrashwhore​, aka Marie! You’ve seen her instagram aesthetics, from Hunger Games to Parent Thiam AU to New Years’ AU. And now, we had the opportunity to learn more about her creative process and her life well…behind the screens. Let’s get it started!

Marie! Why not start us off with a simple introduction. Who is fandomtrashwhore? Or the artist behind her? The twist: the word count should be equal or less than the # of letters of the characters in your favorite TW rarepair ship.

My name is Marie, I’m 19 years old and from Germany. My life is dedicated to my fandoms but besides that I’m an apprentice as an technical product designer.

Ha, I see whatcha did there with ‘Mieczyslaw.’ Smart, very smart! A Technical Product Designer! What does that entail? Do you like it so far?

I don’t know if there’s a perfect translation for it and I’m bad at explaining (that’s why I’m not a writer and my answers in this interview are gonna be shit :’D). I like the 3D drawing part most and till now I’m quite good at it and even ‘job school’ is pretty good. I feel like Hermione cause I always know the answer and my grades are on point af (which definitely wasn’t like that in my previous schools. I never said anything in class).

Pst, who said you have to be a good writer to have a good time? Just do you haha. That’s what we’re all here for any. That’s super interesting though. What’s another thing our fandom would be surprised to know about you?

I have to confess that I didn’t really mind Theo or Liam before season 6? Like I knew they were there and I liked them but I was too focussed on other characters + I didn’t know they wanted to end Teen Wolf then and felt like they wanted to shove the main pack away to replace it with Liam and his gang. (Now I’m all over the puppy pack ).

AND I watched the whole show till 5B or season 6 (not so sure) in one go and that’s why it felt like Theo and Liam both joined around the same time. (Even if there was one whole season between them…wtf.) I remember that I sometimes couldn’t even tell who was Liam and who was Theo cause I thought that they ‘looked alike’…BITCH WHERE? This is more than embarrassing, but every time I watch a show in one go I have trouble learning the names (when the name is said in the show I usually know who they mean but if I talk about it to someone I sometimes can’t remember the names cause I watched 3 seasons within a week…. :’D ). I definitely need to rewatch and appreciate them more this time cause they’re such amazing characters.

*Actually Cackling* Were there any other characters you were hazy on? Like, would Garrett be the “angry, tiny blonde one” to you?

No it’s embarrassing af. :’D And I know who Garrett is and what he did and he was indeed an angry tiny blonde kid, but I don’t remember details. Sadly (I mean I think he only was there for a few episodes so I don’t think there was much detail so I’m good as long as I know his storyline). :’D

Truth. When I started watching Supernatural, until (at least) midseason 2, I called both Sam and Dean, DeanSam cause they were always together when someone addressed them. So, you’re not alone, eek. Now, THAT’S embarrassing.

So, how did you go from ‘kid, what’s your name?!’ to Thiam instagram aesthetics and our fandom? What drew you in?

I think I jumped on the train quite late (cause as I said I didn’t really mind them), but I think I shipped them before but just realized it last season. So, I think I first felt something for them during their fight in the hospital because I was ‘fun-shipping’ them (not really fun but I wasn’t deep into it cause I didn’t bother checking their ship name or anything but I was like ‘lol. They’re gay for each other) during 6B and then I completely lost it in episode 6 of that season and realized that it is a real thing and it’s love.

From that moment I was a mess and died the last few episodes cause I thought they either make it canon or kill Theo off (and maybe make it canon) but neither happened so….ok. :’D I’m sad that I only had like two weeks left with them but since then it’s been a wild ride and they brought me new internet friends ( a whole pack) and made me tumblr fame … it’s crazy how inspiring they are for edits. I just can’t stop. :’D

BUT how I found my way into the Teen Wolf fandom is a bit funnier I think…(at least for me) :’D

This has now become the moment where I ask, “Marie, can you tell us how you got into the Teen Wolf fandom? Lol”

Idk if it’s funny if you don’t know my friends and me personally. But I always had this little group to talk about series with. Mostly The Walking Dead and Game Of Thrones but sometimes other series. A friend of mine, Lucas, once mentioned that there’s a series called ‘teen wolf or something like that’ and that he knows that one character looks like one of our classmates (his name is Tobi). He was talking about Derek and even showed me a pic AND HE REALLY FUCKING LOOKS LIKE HIM (I mean in close up you know it’s not him but you know…).

He already had a beard really really soon (he looked like 20 when he was 15 or something because of it) BUT NOW he looks even more like Derek cause I met him again, like a year ago, in a club and he lost weight and is working out now and….he’s really a Derek look alike (I wish I could show you but privacy…).

After laughing about that I never heard about that series again till I watched the trailer on youtube, and I have no idea why, but it was around new years eve 2015 to 2016 cause I thought about starting it and told a friend of mine on new years eve and showed her the trailer and she also thought it was cool and we started it about a week after that and binge watched the shit out of it.

BUT I ALWAYS HAD THAT PICTURE OF MY CLASSMATE IN MIND WHEN I SAW DEREK. And I still call Derek Tobi when I talk to my best friend who doesn’t watch teen wolf about teen wolf and want to explain something to her.

Lol are you kidding me?! That’s hilarious! And, I’ll raise you. I have a friend Michael who is a spitting image of Scott–skin tone, jaw, hair and all. I wonder if your Tobi/Derek and my Michael/Scott met, would they have a Scott-Derek-esque relationship haha! Since we’ve veered towards Friends, let’s say you, 4 characters from TW, and 1 of you personal friend were living in a Friends-type sitcom. Who’d you bring into your inner circle and which antics would yall get up to?

Ok! This is exciting! So it would be Stiles, Theo, Mason, Liam and my best friend Michelle (she doesn’t watch teen wolf but the hell do I care). We would just be such a funny sassy pack. Do you know that ‘meme’: ‘My friendship comes in 3 levels: Sass, insults, inappropriate sexual humor’? That would be so us. Michelle and me are basically Stiles and that meme describes our friendship so well; we’re really soulmates so I want the whole pack to become that close too.. Theo is a sassy ass anyways and Mason is also on fire.

Liam would suffer under our jokes and always be the one who makes bad jokes only he laughs about and the rest just laughs about him, but we still love him. Michelle and me would ship the hell out of Theo and Liam (and Mason and Corey are goals af). Mason would be sceptical at first but together with Corey–I can’t have Mason without Corey…sorry?–we get him to join us.

Sometimes, Liam and Theo even go with it and flirt for fun just to piss Stiles off who somehow ended up stuck with us after Scott left for college and Stiles decided to quit the FBI and now works as a police officer at the station. Of course, Thiam gets real and no one really notice it at first cause we think it’s just another prank on Stiles until we catch them making out in my kitchen during a pack meeting. There are also a few other pranks since we’re the sassy pack. Stiles mostly uses his position as a police officer, like towing our cars or getting us a ticket. Theo’s pranks are a bit shocking at the beginning since he needs to learn how to be a decent human being. Liam and my pranks fail most of the time. Michelle and Mason are the prank master team; they always come up with the craziest ideas.

Yassss of course, Corey would be there. There’s always a significant other who’s there so often, they become part of the group lol. That sounds like my kind of party, all the chaos and sassy destruction. All the creativity, it’s the perfect segway to our next topic of the day: fandomtrashwhore, aka your creativity.

If your creativity was a person, what type would they be? What would they do? Wear? Listen to? Handle conflict?

I think it would just be a furious working single mother? Cause during the week I’m working and even if I have nothing to do after work I only seem to be able to edit at weekends and then I sacrifice my whole weekend to it like it’s my child. And furious cause once I have an idea in my head, I drown myself in pic finding which can be so exhausting and I bet I look like a stressed single mom during that cause I’m having so many tabs open and so many search phrases to throw at google in my head at the same time.

I also have specific pics in my head and I could cry if I don’t find a perfect pic to fit that image in my head. I mostly listen to the Airplanes playlist I made while editing but I also love artists like Ed Sheeran and Halsey so that would also fit quite well to keep that person calm and grounded. I also think my creative process is quite vulnerable and moody cause sometimes I can’t wait to edit and other times I feel like I never want to edit again and I need to force myself to (during editing I love it again tho). And vulnerable cause like I said I hate when I can’t find a decent pic and could cry. Same goes for if the app crashes during a long edit or if something won’t go how I want it and my patience dies.

Does that single mother furiously create outside of the Thiam fandom too?

Yes, I do social media au’s for all my fandoms (at least I want to, till now I only have a few.)  I’m not a writer but I have a started Sherlock fanfic with a trailer (I like the trailer tho and some one shots to several fandoms on wattpad. I’m ashamed of them cause I’m a bad writer but I can’t stop trying :’D So here’s my Wattpad. Don’t expect too much!!

I mentioned the trailer for my Sherlock before and right now I’m also working on a trailer ( more like ‘short movie’) for and OC (who ended up to be Marie Avgeropoulos) x Negan from The Walking Dead.Till now it’s 13 minutes long and I love the shit out of it. I never drew for a fandom before (german youtube back in the days, I had instagram fanpages. I still have them but I don’t edit for them anymore cause series took over my life. If you know german youtube and are interested contact me but they’re not that important for most of the people reading this, I think. ANYWAYS, what I wanted to say is that I want to draw something Thiam or rather Airplanes themed soon.

Oh AND I and my best friend (Michelle from before) used to write our fanfics (mostly about german youtubers) over whatsapp back in the days. It was legendary but also very unrealistic and hilarious. Sadly, we lost most of them when we got new phones which breaks my heart.

Dang, that’s tragic. Thankfully, you still have the memories. From trailers to Whatsapp/Wattpad fics, they’ve all led you to this moment: Instagram aesthetics. How’re you inspired when choosing a theme?

Most of the time I find a pic that inspires me to an edit theme. E.g., I saw the 3rd pic of The Buck’s party pic on Liam’s profile for the engagement & wedding edit coincidentally on tumblr or something and was like: “Yes, that could be Liam carried by Stiles and the boy on the right is Scott and the girl is Lydia and the pic was taken by Mason….why would something like this situation happen….A BUCK’S PARTY! I NEED TO DO A ENGAGEMENT AND WEDDING AU. Then, the other pictures and ideas just find their way.

I also accept requests (like the new year eve one) or I’m inspired by a post (like for example when I did the Thiam Mykonos one.

And when you search for photos, what’s your process for choosing the best ones?

Most of the time, the story of my au’s is formed by the pics I find. Like I have an idea and look for pics and then I see which pics make a logic story. Most of the time, I don’t know myself how I find so good pics and I bet I could never find them again (I tried once after I lost some), cause I found them so deep in the internet. Mostly, I google pretty weird sentences and I wonder what the NSA is thinking of me. :’D  For example, I googled “Throwing Tampons” for an Airplanes related edit once. I bet whoever observes me thinks I’m a killer when I look for aesthetics (especially when I did the The Walking Dead aesthetics) and googled for bloody pics. I nearly threw up a few times tho while doing so.

Finding pics is a harder job than you might think; I would say it takes more time than the editing itself, but I can’t say for sure cause once I start editing I’m lost in some sort of tunnel and suddenly it’s dark outside. When I want to google for ‘natural’ pics, I mostly add ‘snapchat’ or ‘instagram’ behind it (e.g. ‘couple eating take out food snapchat’). Also, you can find good pics on pinterest (my Pinterest name is ‘Marie Rosa’ btw), especially aesthetical and gay couple pics!

Deciding is even harder cause I often have 50 pics in my folder and can only use 12. Then, I check which one I definitely want to have in the edit and which I liked best and are the most decent ones to the images I had in mind.

When there are people on it, it’s also important that they look like the characters they should portrait. After that, I still have 20 pics left and cry because I love them all. Then I make two new folders to decide which ones are for Liam’s and which ones are for Theo’s profile and then I delete some more pics with a hurting heart (or I save them for other edits some day) and look which pics fit best together (when I edit aesthetics, similar color is a big topic). The biggest mess is when I get more ideas during editing or realize that one pic I thought I liked doesn’t fit at all and stop to look for more pics and the whole order I had is thrown away again and I need to start again. :’D

My goodness, I remember seeing you and Sammy (@glitter-cake20) talk about finding pics before on Discord, but that is…really involved. Are there times when you create your own images instead? If so, which edits/manips have been your favorite?

I would say the Hunger Games one was my best manip, but I also like the one in the Thiam parent AU  where I replaced Cody’s cat with a baby two times. And, nearly all manips I did for my Airplanes series, especially Disney Kiss (I just edited Dylan on Cody’s ex-girlfriend…lol…no regrets), the bowling pic, all the pack video calls in which I added some more heads and the ones of Derek and Stiles in NYC. I also love the one of Mason and Liam carrying watermelons in the Dirty Dancing AU and the whole Daredevil Thiam (+Morey) AU is also one of my favorites cause it’s so aesthetical. I mean in the end I nearly love them all cause I wouldn’t have posted them if not.

You’ve mentioned CaptainMintyFresh’s Airplanes a few times. What inspired the idea to make instagram posts for the guys’ journey? So far, which has been your favorite chapter to conceptualize? And why?

I don’t really know how it started but I was editing my other ones and Tagan kept mentioning certain pic scenarios. (I think it was around the waterpark chapter.) I was just like: ”She’s giving so many good patterns why don’t you try to make Insta profiles to the chapters.” It was one of my best decisions cause I loved it, even if it was a pain in the ass! I finally managed to catch up and since then I feel so empty…sounds strange but my past few months were spend with Thiam and Airplanes and suddenly, I’m free. I was looking forward to editing other things again and I did but on the other side, I feel lost and don’t even know what to edit or I’m not in the mood. I have an Airplanes hangover or something. :’D  

My favorite to conceptualize were probably the Disney chapters (it used to be the lake chapter but since editing Disney, I like that more) but every chapter was fun in it’s own way. (I’m planning on doing a commenting on the airplanes edits after Airplanes is finished).

I also think you can see how my skills improved while editing when you look at the first chapter edits and the last ones. That’s maybe the thing I’m most grateful about; it gave me the chance to experiment and grow along with the Fic and the characters.

Aww, that’s quite poetic. And, now we have Chapter  39 out, so you must feel the inkliest bit complete!

And, now I can feel the inkiest bit better about the next question to come.

I mean I would say the airplane series but it’s not my story so I’m gonna go with one of my single edits.

Then I would say the Parent AU cause I’m a bitch for parent Thiam. I’m gonna go with the pic of the crying baby with the title ‘Great. My son has my husband’s attitude’.

Liam sends Theo to the store with Leo after a discussion so he has some peace and can clean the house without interruptions. Leo won’t stop crying on top of his lungs in the middle of the store and Theo sighs while resting his forehead on the shopping cart (I hope that’s what it’s called).Then, he looks up again and gets his phone out to snap a picture and post it to show everyone that not only Liam is a whining little shit torturing him but now also his son. He laughs at himself for the joke which makes Leo stop crying and laugh with him instead. Theo takes that as an encouragement for his joke and carries him on his arm for the rest of the shopping trip, When they return home, he’s greeted by Liam who’s trying to look pissed but fails and just smirks at him and giving him a slight slap on the arm.

While we all marvel at that, can we expect any other Thiam instagram themes from you in the future?

Of course. I have an Thiam folder with 357 a folder for the upcoming Mockingjay AU with 37 and my airplanes folder with still 194 pics. Somehow and someday I’m gonna use them all. Planned is to finish the Hunger Games series, cause I still need to do Mockingjay and I also have so many good parenting pics left so there’s definitely going to be another parent Thiam AU and some random ones.

It depends on my mood and requests I get or if I’m suddenly inspired by a pic to edit a specific theme. I also want to make more of Thiam x other fandoms, like Maze Runner, Divergent and so on but I also want to edit for so many other fandoms and ships. Why is there so less time in my mortal life?

Who knows? If only time stopped during the Fandom spurts of our lives, then we could enjoy it as long as we wanted to. Aww, I’m sad to see us come to an end. Marie, what’s next for you?

Finish my apprenticeship in 2020 and have a job after that + moving out. The next thing I’m saving money on right now is my own car till august (I also want my first own TV and playstation and need a new laptop any maybe smartphone :’D). Other fix dates this year are german comic con in december or turning 20 on 27th June.

Of course, I’m gonna drown myself in more fandoms and editing (I mean I’ve already watched 7 new series in 2018).

Oooh, which new shows? (I know I said we were ending lol, but shows are my drug!)

I finally got myself netflix since streaming became officially illegal (it wasn’t actually legal or illegal before but they couldn’t do anything to you and it was safe) here last year and I used it to watch all the marvel netflix productions like Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, Daredevil, The Defenders, Luke Cage (which I haven’t finished cause Netflix won’t let me, every 30 seconds it crashes) and The Punisher. Jessica Jones and Daredevil are my favorites out of them. Then, I also watched How To Get Away With Murder….IT’S MY FUCKING NEW RELIGION! Coliver is giving me more than life. They’re goals.

I also want to thank you Minna for doing all this (bts is such a cool idea and keeping us inspired with the movie fest and stuff has to be so much work!) and especially for inviting me in the Thiam Discord pack chat 4 or 5 month ago. It’s been a wild ride and I maybe would’ve never known about that chat without you.

I love that chat and how we spend the christmas holidays together and thiam got so much more intense and it’s not even only about thiam anymore we also exchange about many other fandoms and we cried so many smut tears together (I mean that nsfw chat is on fire and I remember voice chat talks between in that christmas holidays we will burn in hell for and I love it :’D) and also fluff and angst tears but mostly smut tbh.

Just thanks for everything the Thiam community gave me, I said earlier that thiam gave me ‘tumblr fame’ and that sound stupid but it did, cause I edited before and nobody gave a single shit and reblogged or liked anything. Thiam was the best thing that could happen to me, even if I mostly edit for myself cause I like it and it’s fun, I can’t deny that it motivates you and makes you happy when other appreciate your work. Even not Teen Wolf or Thiam related posts / reblogs are noticed and it makes me so happy. Ok, sorry for bothering you with all my stupid talking. All I have left to say is: Meow

Awww, thanks so much for the love! Hahaha, our first Discord chat feels like so long ago now lol. And I also wouldn’t be here without my other Thiam Library Mods, esp Tiffany, Esme, Lizzie, Euthoxia, and Vis. They keep me inspired and grounded when life gets crazy. written as a prompt/ask for @eveycarnahan (thank you babe!!!) but thought it was a little long so i’m posting it separate from the ask. hope you like it, liz! :)

spoilers up to season 8B (includes season 8 midseason finale)

After the fever burned bright in his cheeks —

After the sickly sweat yellowed and grayed his clothes —

After the breath escaped his lungs one last time —

Carl was laid to rest in Hilltop’s soil.

Rick dug the grave, and Michonne fashioned the cross, but it was Judith who placed the worn and weathered sheriff’s hat on the wooden post, memorializing the spot the only way one can in the apocalypse.

When the first raindrops started to fall, and the light drizzle turned into a heavier pour, Daryl carried Judith inside the nearest trailer, using his vest as a makeshift umbrella. He didn’t look back at the father and mother, soaked to the bone, grieving at their son’s graveside.

Once inside the trailer, Daryl shook off the excess water and parked Judith on the kitchenette’s countertop. “Let’s find you a towel to dry off with, squirt.”

A hand holding out a floral-patterned cloth appeared in his vision. He traced that hand up its arm and to Carol’s wan but smiling face. “Here you go.”

With a mumbled thanks, Daryl took the towel and vigorously rubbed it over Judith’s dusty curls. “Sorry, thought this was empty,” he muttered.

“No need to be sorry,” Carol said. “It’s not even officially mine, either, but I just had to…,” and then she shrugged, because there was no point in giving an answer he already knew.

Daryl hummed (because he did know) and tried to tame Judith’s frizzy hair. He wasn’t doing a very good job, but Judith still looked at him like he lassoed the moon and pulled it straight to her, so he gave the faintest smile back. “How about we take a nap, huh?”

Judith nodded and raised her arms. Daryl obliged, and took her to the back of the trailer, setting her down on the small bed. He only left the bedroom when Judith had snuggled into the covers, turned on her side, and began to breathe soft and even.

Carol was sitting on the bench at the table, staring out the window into the gray, wet haze. Like a snapshot from his memory, her image stuttered his feet to a stop, which only began moving again when she glanced his way. To complete the picture, he perched on the countertop he sat Judith on earlier and just…watched her.

They were quiet, and Daryl found himself drifting back through the days, months, years, to the last time the two of them were mourning in a trailer after burying a child. But this time, Carol spoke.

“I’m sorry I wasn’t there.”

Daryl doesn’t know what exactly she’s sorry for—not being there for Carl? For Glenn and Abraham? For him?—but he lets it go. “You did what you could. Life’s just shit, sometimes.”

“Yeah,” Carol sighed. “It really is.”

He thought they would lapse back into their comfortable silence, but Carol proved him wrong. “No, not everything in life is just shit.”

“Oh yeah?” Daryl scoffed. “Name one thing.”

A heartbeat, and then Carol turned, locking him in her blue gaze, her answer deafening.

Daryl dropped his head, chuckling a bit, because he should’ve known, she’d said just as much before, but then his chuckling turned to hiccups and his nose began to burn and his vision blurred and—

Cool, soft hands cupped the back of his neck, and his forehead met hers. “I’m here,” Carol whispered. Her eyes were closed, but her eyelashes were wet. “I’m here now.”

Choking on a sob, Daryl wrapped his arms around her shoulders and clung to her like a drowning man would a life preserver.

She saved his life before; she can do it again.

Team Delusional Things to Remember: A Summary

Hey everyone! Hope you’ve all been enjoying the holiday season. I am still alive, just busy emotionally as I settle into my winter break. I didn’t watch the midseason finale though I know some of what generally happen. I have my thoughts on it, but I’m not going into them as I would like to see 8x09 first and because I’m too tired honestly. It’s been a long autumn and overall year for me. Anyway, being on break has allowed to me look over old Team Delusional evidence. We still don’t have closure on anything, and there is so much stuff that can’t be explained really unless Beth was still alive. This list is by no means exhaustive, and more of a gentle reminder for people. Feel free to reblog with other pieces of evidence that keep you on the team.

Missing Filming Spoilers:

There are a significant amount of missing filming spoilers, most notably in season 5. Emily was spotted several times and even documented a few times on sets where she never appeared onscreen and/or never aired. Some Team Acceptance people have chalked these missing scenes to a scrapped Beth-storyline. However, if Emily was really fucked over like that last minute, something would have come out about it. She would not be legally obligated to stay quiet about it, as she has been out of contract for years. AMC is notoriously cheap, even cutting into Breaking Bad’s budget in order to fund other projects. So why has so much money been poured into and then seemingly wasted in relation to Beth?

Emily has maintained Beth in present tense in her social media handles. Beth keeps appearing in marketing including posts that suggest she is still a major character. The marketing and release of Beth’s action figure also suggest, as well as Funko not being allowed to discuss a Beth figure. Emily’s music and photoshoots tend to coincide with TWD’s schedule.

Beth appeared in a comedic video by CollegeHumor. This version of Beth appeared right after the season 3 finale, and her costume eerily mirrored Beth’s first 4b costume. This implies that the writers wanted to promote Beth as a strong character for a long time.

The Opening Credits Flash:

TWD updates its credits as cast members depart, yet Emily’s tunnel slide stayed on for two seasons after her death. It just took on others’ actors names. Now there is title card that shows the outside of a tunnel. On top of that, the flash of Beth running with people still remains as the first thing an audience member sees.

6x08 Trailer Song:

The 6x08 trailer had a song whose female singer sounded like Emily. No one could find the actual song though to verify that though. A few weeks ago, an anon informed that the song was You’ll Never Know by The Rigs. There version is different from the trailer’s, so it’s clearly Emily. The Rigs did not release their version until more than a year had passed after 6x08, which is strange. They didn’t even promote the fact that their song was covered for TWD.

Bethyl is the Ship:

Bethyl is still written and marketed as a potential ship, hence reminders like narrative callbacks and Beth’s knife. Daryl’s arc also keeps circling back to Beth, hammering in how low he’s sunk since losing her, and this speaks to a redemptive rise. He’s one of the show’s most popular characters, and he still hasn’t fully come back since before Coda. It makes you wonder.

NOTE: So my thoughts have been spinning since the midseason finale, and since the trailer for 3x10. Not only did we get our first peek of the Legion rings on the members, and our first glimpse of Brainiac 5, the end of the trailer seemed to have Kara in one of the stasis tanks on the Legion ship! This fic is pure speculation on what may happen for Kara to end up there. This fic also follows the theories that the marriage is fake and that the Legion's objective is to save Kara from Reign. Mon El thought he knew what fear felt like.

His life had been marked by that emotion. He felt it first when his planet died, and he was shoved into that little pod and shot out into the vastness of space. Then, when he landed on a strange planet, not knowing anyone, and finding out that he was the sole survivor of Daxam. His encounter with Parasite, being captured by CADMUS, getting shot, almost dying from Medusa. Gaining the courage to kiss Kara for the first time, and then having to admit his feelings to her, and then falling in love with her. Finding out his parents weren't really dead, losing Kara, traveling to another Earth to save her from Music Meister's spell. Almost going back to Daxam, getting locked up by his parents, the Daxamite invasion. Each moment had been scarier than the last, and none of it was more terrifying than almost dying when the lead was released into the atmosphere, and having to leave Kara again.

When he crashed into the 31st century, he was met with an almost calm acceptance. The feeling of crashing onto a strange planet was somehow familiar. His life was constantly filled with new beginnings, with pain, with fear. He knew the feelings well.

But in that moment, as he walked into the DEO med bay, Mon El realized that he was wrong. Mon El had never really, truly felt fear until the moment he saw Kara on the table, fighting for her life while Alex tried desperately to save her.

He felt panic rise up in his chest, and he was sure that his heart would collapse under the weight of it. He couldn't tear his eyes away from Kara, and he knew that the image of her would be burned into his retinas for a long time.

Her skin was paler than usual, and it had a thin layer of sweat. She had blood dripping down the side of her head and into her hair, staining her locks a dark, rusty color. She had tubes all over her, monitoring her vitals, and she even had one sticking out of her mouth.

Mon El had to remind himself to breathe. It wasn't right. She looked so helpless, so vulnerable, so human.

He couldn't even hear himself think over the sounds of the machines. They were beeping over and over again, reminding him and everyone else that something was very, very wrong.

His frantic thoughts were interrupted by a weird feeling in his mind. It felt almost as if someone was caressing his thoughts, turning them from shouts to whispers.

Imra. She was using her powers on him, trying her best to soothe his fear and calm him down. This was one of the reasons he had recruited her for this mission in the first place. Not only was she dedicated to the cause, but her unique power served as a safety net for whenever he strayed from the objective. She was there to give his mind a gentle nudge and make sure he stayed focused on the task at hand.

"She'll be okay," Imra told him aloud, squeezing his hand slightly as she spoke, while continuing to soothe his thoughts as best as she could. His eyes flickered down to hers briefly. He could tell that she wasn't worried. In the back of his mind, he knew that there really was no reason to be. They had seen this all play out in the history books, and Imra was right. Kara was going to be okay.

But it didn't matter. No amount of mind control could take away his worry for the woman he loved.

He was taken away from his thoughts by Alex's voice. "Stay with me, Kara," she muttered to her sister, her voice shaking slightly as she spoke. Her terror was evident in her eyes as she looked at her. "Stay with me."

As she spoke, one of the machines started beeping again, indicating that what Alex and the other medics were doing wasn't working. All he could do was watch in silent shock.

This wasn't right. She wasn't supposed to die. She can't die.

"We need to get her under a yellow sun lamp," one of the medics told Alex, but the agent was already shaking her head.

"No..." Alex replied, not taking her eyes off of Kara as she spoke. "We need to stabilize her before we can do that. The sun lamps will only help her if she's stable. Otherwise they won't heal her fast enough and..." She trailed off her words, not having the strength to finish her sentence.

He could tell that Alex was starting to lose her patience, seeming to get more frustrated with each beep of the machines.

He knew that the other medics were speaking, but he couldn't hear them over his own thoughts. They played in his head like a mantra.

No, no, no, no, no...

"This should be working," Alex exclaimed. He could hear her unshed tears in her voice, and her frustration was evident.

Mon El was no doctor, but the look on Alex's face scared him. It was one full of uncertainty, of fear, of worry. It told him that she didn't know what else she could do to save Kara's life.

It was Alex's look that shocked him into action. Suddenly, an idea popped into his mind, and before he even had a chance to think about it, he voiced it aloud.

"Put her in cryosleep."

The room fell silent with his words; the only sound was the noise of the machines. Alex didn't look up from her work, but the expression on her face showed him that she was open to suggestions at this point. From the corner of his eye, he saw Imra snap her head towards him, but he ignored her.

"What are you talking about?" J'onn asked. He had been standing next to Mon El in silence, watching Alex with worry evident on his face. Now, he looked at Mon El with skepticism.

Before Mon El could respond, he felt Imra in his brain, harshly tugging at his mind. This went against their entire plan, but he didn't care. Kara's life was more important, and he couldn't just stand there and do nothing. He focused all his energy on ignoring the pull in his mind before he spoke.

"The stasis tanks on our ship. If you put her in cryosleep, the ship will repair the damage to her body and stabilize her. It should work as long as you can get her there."

Mon El made eye contact with Winn as he spoke. Terror was plastered on his face, and he ran his hands through his hair, trying to calm himself down. He was too scared to speak, but Mon El didn't miss the small glimmer of hope that appeared in Winn's eyes, mixing with his panic and worry. He could tell that Winn was on board with the idea.

J'onn thought about it for a moment before directing his attention to the agent. "Alex. Your call."

She chewed on her lip, weighing her options as she looked down at her sister. One look at the machine, however, and her mind was made up. "Okay." She whispered.

Mon El was about to turn around and leave the medbay when he felt Imra in his head, stopping him dead in his tracks. She had a vice grip on his mind, holding him in place.

"Mon El," she hissed, just quiet enough so only he could hear.

He looked over at her, pleading with his eyes. He knew that she disagreed with helping Kara right now, but surely she wouldn't stop him, right?

Please, Imra, he pleaded in his mind, hoping that she would listen to him. He knew there was no mistaking the desperation in his thoughts. Please.

As Mon El thought the words, he saw her eyes soften, and he knew she had caved. She let go of his mind with a sigh. Once he had regained control of himself, he snapped into action.

"Let's go," he ordered, turning around and leaving the medbay, the squeaking of Kara's stretcher echoing behind him.

Mon El stood silently in front of one of the stasis tanks on the ship; the one that he had just helped Alex, Winn and J'onn put Kara into. His arms were crossed in front of his chest, but even that couldn't prevent them from shaking.

There she was— her eyes closed, her skin pale and her hair floating around her head in a golden halo. She had a white band secured to her forehead to help them to track her vitals while she healed. Kara. His Kara.

He couldn't take his eyes off of her. He had to be there for her when she woke up, and he worried that he would miss that moment if he looked away.

That's why Mon El was surprised when someone came up to him, grabbing his left bicep and spinning him around to face them. Once his eyes settled and he registered the face, he let out a sigh. He knew this was coming.

Imra.

He had a lot of explaining to do; that much was for sure. He was supposed to be the leader of the Legion. He wasn't supposed to be the one messing up their mission.

He was about to try to fumble his way through an apology when she interrupted him.

"What the hell, Mon El?"

He almost wanted to chuckle at her words. He had missed this Imra in recent days. Now that Alex, Winn and J'onn were immersed in their own conversations, Imra could finally drop the "sweet and docile wife" act. He had to admire her commitment to the job, because the Imra he knew was anything but docile.

It was only now that they were alone that he saw the Imra that he had known in the 31st century. She was fierce and she was determined and she was empathetic and she was passionate.

And she was pissed at him.

Her eyes were ablaze with anger, and in that moment, Mon El was thankful that she didn't have heat vision.

"Imra, I'm sorry," he started, his voice sounding exasperated already. He knew this conversation was coming, but that doesn't mean he was ready for it.

Imra just scoffed at him before continuing. "You should be sorry." She crossed her arms in front of her chest. "You're putting everything we've worked for at risk."

"I know," he muttered.

"We've been planning this for months... for years! You've been planning it!" She threw her arms up over her head. pacing back and forth as he talked. She stopped moving and dropped her arms to her side. "I... I just don't get it, Mon El. Explain it to me. Please."

Mon El opened his mouth, ready to answer, but nothing came out. He didn't know how to explain his reasons to her, because truthfully, the answer was quite simple. He did it because it was Kara, and he couldn't stand to see her like that. He had to do something.

She sighed when he said nothing. "We're lucky that we didn't mess anything up when she found you on the ship, and we're already trying to do this job while we have men still asleep. We've analyzed every point of this, and found the exact point to interfere where we have the greatest chance for success. History says that Supergirl fights the first battle with Reign, and yes, she gets injured but she lives. I just don't get why you would interfere now..."

"We've already interfered!" Mon El interrupted, unable to hold back anymore. She looked at him with a shocked look on her face, but stayed silent, so he continued. "Every day we're at the DEO we're interfering. And we've already messed things up. Kara was supposed to get injured, not beaten within an inch of her life. I couldn't let her die."

"She wouldn't have died." Imra retorted. "You know we would have known immediately if anything had changed that much."

He ignored her words, not wanting to admit to himself that they were true. "We already changed things. She was off her game in her fight with Reign because of us."

"You don't know that," Imra stated, starting to sound frustrated with him. "We didn't know how injured she got in the first fight. All we knew was that she survived."

Mon El stayed quiet. Imra was right, but that didn't mean he had to be okay with that.

Imra's eyes softened, and her voice was quieter when she continued. "Why can't you just admit it was a personal decision? That you did it because you were worried about her?"

Mon El was about to say something before he stopped. He wasn't expecting that question. He wondered briefly if she had read his mind. She had a habit of doing it unconsciously, but he shook the thought away, still trying to find an answer to her question.

She smirked a little, trying to lighten the mood a bit. "You know, you're lucky I'm the one that woke up. I've been in your mind. I've seen firsthand how much you care about her, and I understand. If it was Brainiac who woke up, he'd be trying you for treason right now."

Mon El wanted to chuckle, but he felt a sickening feeling sink into the pit of his stomach, because Imra was exactly right. Brainiac had an unparalleled intelligence, but it made him see things as black and white, with no area for gray. As a leader, that was what he should have been doing, but he had let his fear guide his decision instead.

He couldn't admit it was a personal decision. This wasn't the time for him to be thinking with his heart. If he was letting his emotions guide him, then he shouldn't be leading them on this mission.

But Mon El couldn't think of anything worse than sitting back and leaving Kara's fate in someone else's hands.

Instead, Mon El clamped down hard on his thoughts before speaking. "I had to make sure there was a Kara to save in the future. If I hadn't saved her now, the entire mission could have been ruined by her dying early. I intervened because I thought it was right."

The look Imra gave him let him know that she didn't believe him, but she didn't question it. "I'm going to go," she told him instead, and he didn't miss the weariness in her voice. "I'm going to make sure nothing changed too much from this."

He nodded, not trusting himself to speak. He feared that if he spoke, he would spill all the words that he was trying to hold back. He knew that Imra knew how he was feeling anyway, even if he didn't want her to.

Before she turned to walk away, she placed a hand on his shoulder. "We're going to save her, Mon El. I know it. This isn't your burden to bear alone."

Yes it is, he thought before he could stop himself, and he knew that Imra had heard him by the look of pity she gave him. She looked like she was going to say something else, but then thought against it.

Imra started to walk away, but Mon El called out to her before she could. "Hey Imra," he started, and she turned back around, looking a bit surprised. "You could have stopped me back in the medbay, but you didn't. Why not?"

Her face was unreadable, her eyes hardening as she responded. "I may not agree with you, but that doesn't mean I would stop you. I'm not that kind of person."

Mon El couldn't help but think that he had insulted her with his question. As a telepath, many people expected her to be cold-hearted and manipulative, and he knew that she struggled with that perception. However, he knew that she was anything but. If anything, her power made her more empathetic, and her response made perfect sense to him. Despite not agreeing with his choice, and knowing that he could be endangering their objective with it, Imra still wouldn't use her power to forcefully take his free will away. She would only control him if he asked because that was the type of person she was, and even then, it had been a struggle to convince her to control him when he was around Kara.

She turned on her heel and walked away without another word, and even though Mon El knew that he should probably stop her to apologize, he let her go. He thought it would be better to let her have her space first.

And even if he had wanted to, he couldn't bring himself to move. He wanted to stay by Kara's side until she woke up. She needed to wake up.

"Hey, Kara," he muttered. He relished in the feeling of being able to talk to her freely, without all the baggage surrounding them right now. He knew that all of the tension between them was his fault; it was because of all of the lies he was telling in the name of saving her life. Even though he knew he was doing it for the right reasons, he still couldn't stop his stomach from churning with each lie he told.

Her pain. Her heartache. Her sadness. It was all because of him.

"I know you can't hear me," he continued, walking closer and pressing his hand against the glass of the tank. He wished that he was able to grab her hand, to touch her, to look into her eyes, but he couldn't. Instead, he pressed his head against the glass as well, squeezing his eyes shut. "But I need you to wake up. I need you."

He felt tears coming, and he tried his best to hold them back. He took a deep breath, trying to compose himself before continuing.

"And when you wake up, I'm going to be here for you, even though you hate me right now. And I promise, I will do everything I can to protect you. To save you. And, once it's all said and done, if you can find it in your heart to forgive me, I will love you again, with everything that I have."

He felt a tear escape him, silently sliding down his cheek. He wiped it away quickly, cursing himself for not being strong. "So please," he said, his voice hoarse from the tears left unshed and all of the things that he wanted to say but couldn't. "Just wake up."

He sighed, backing away slowly from the stasis tank, fixing his eyes onto her face once again. Imra was right. He wasn't thinking clearly. He couldn't think clearly when it came to Kara.

One good thing had come from his conversation with Imra. He had realized that this wasn't going to work. They wouldn't be able to complete the Legion's mission in their current state, with only him and Imra awake. He was too close to Kara, despite his better judgment. And Imra, she was too good of a person to keep him in line. He needed someone calloused, someone with a one track mind, someone who wouldn't be afraid to keep him in line, even though he was their leader.

He needed to wake another Legion member, and he knew just the one.

Brainiac.

[NOTE: Imra may seem to be a bit ooc from what we've seen on the show, but that was done on purpose. I think Imra is playing the wife role right now, and I'm hoping to see her drop the act and show Imra, the soldier, a bit more in the future.Despite that, I do think she actually is a good person at heart, and I do like her character a lot (and she was fun to write.)]

fall tv preview review: abc edition

the kids are alright - never underestimate the quality of abc comedies. reading the synopsis for this show and looking at the trailer thumbnail (aka series poster), i thought it sounded cheesy and looked awful. the poster is lame. but of course, don't judge a book by its cover, so i watched the trailer. it looks really good! VERY reminiscent of the wonder years. it feels almost like the same show but with a different family, like the series could easily have a crossover. especially the long-haired hippie brother. but it's still good. not hilarious, but fun. especially when the narrator explained the difference of the 70s to now in terms of children and parenting - very funny! the lead is a cute kid, very endearing. the parents are funny. the nixon era setting will create for plenty of interesting modern comparisons - we already have one, with the dad talking about "phony news". i don't remember where this show is in abc's fall schedule, but i'm hoping it's at least on the same night as the goldbergs - the shows can easily go hand-in-hand.

grand hotel - it's the lodge, minus the music and for adults! at first, i thought "oh yay, another prime time soap, how wonderful" (being sarcastic, of course), before they got into the story and i'm like "this is... literally the lodge". from the male lead just being hired, to the hotel being a family business on the verge of being bought by someone else (and the dead mother), to the business heir falling for the new staff boy? it's the same show, just with more drama and sex. oh, and a more plastic-looking cast. the lodge cast is obnoxiously pretty, but this cast just looks like pure photoshop. that one male lead looks like every hollywood male hunk all rolled into one, and this other white guy in the trailer - i kept confusing the two at first bc i swear they look like brothers - is like some cross between matt lanter and armie hammer. i hope these pretty people can act, 'cause i'm not buying it in this trailer. still here for the to-be romance, though. like a reverse cinderella (they already made a cinderella reference in the trailer, so it's a valid comparison!). also, eva longoria is trying to be the new shonda rhymes. good for her! wonder if this show will be successful enough. (probably will be - how many seasons was mistresses on, again?)

single parents - favorite trailer so far for abc! i absolutely love it. i've been a fan of taran's all throughout his time on snl (and even back when he was in stuck in the suburbs - anyone remember that movie?), so i was really happy to see him here. this show looks hilarious! falls right in step with the rest of abc's comedies. very funny. taran's character is adorable. i already love this single parent crew. brad garrett's line about losing his 27-year-old exotic dancer wife made me laugh out loud. can't wait for this show!

the fix - executive produced by marcia clark. good god, is it obvious. wasn't people v. o.j. already an emmy-winning series? this is just a fictionalized version. it's just so familiar a story, even down to him being accused of another crime several years later. we all know how that turned out. i'm sure there's an audience for this show, i can easily see my parents wanting to tune in. i'll pass. if i want a crime series, i've got proven innocent.

a million little things - oh my god, these trailers don't end! i was about to click on the one for nathan fillion's new series, but then i saw this and ahhh, so many trailers! okay, first off, music and graphics. what kind of this is us rip-off bullshit? i know the plots are different, but the formula feels the same. especially with that one character who, spoilers, like jack, will appear in the show posthumously in flashbacks and whatnot. on the bright side, this show could open up a conversation about depression and suicide. the guys saying that they didn't know their friend was depressed felt all too familiar. but the gut punch of the suicide reveal - god, did that hurt. am i watching a pixar movie? it feels like that same formula, like "if we make you cry, it means our stuff is good", but... no? that's not true. i'm sure the show has potential, but like i said about new amsterdam being nbc's response to the good doctor, this feels like abc's response to this is us. come on, guys, can't we all just get along and not copy each other's work in the hopes of more attention? ugh!

whiskey cavalier - these trailers really are never-ending. i appreciate that abc gives us trailers for both fall and midseason shows, but there are SO many this year. i hardly remember anything else i've watched! what was that first show called, again? anyway, this show... not bad. kinda funny for a spy show (right? cia/fbi agents are spies? i don't know the official terminology). in all honesty, what made this trailer more enjoyable for me was seeing two of my favorite musical characters - phil and rita from groundhog day - in the leads. but it's still a fun show! feels more like it should be a movie rather than a series, but maybe that's because i'm not used to seeing a show in this genre, with mission: impossible and kingsman being film series in my time. also funny how scott foley already has a new series just as scandal ends. he really plans ahead!

the rookie - last but not least (oh thank god we're at the end), it's nathan fillion's new show. hi sterling (his character from cars 3)! i love the song choice! the score is awesome. otherwise, kind of a medium trailer? nathan fillion is very much name talent, but for whatever reason, i just wish someone else had taken on his role. maybe it's because he spent so many years on castle. i never watched it, and yet i almost exclusively associate him with that show. the premise is interesting - gives me zootopia flashbacks, really, with all the prejudice - but there are so many cop shows. how many do we need? i like the incorporation of body cams, that makes it feel a little fresh. but otherwise? hard pass. i hoped this trailer would be good, since i saved it for last, but i'm kind of let down.

Midseason 15 Trailer Reaction

We’ve seen 8 episodes and we’ve already got the Midseason trailer? This season may be shorter than season 10 of RHOBH!

It’s clear that it’s going to be a lot of drama with Braunwyn Windham-Burke from now on.

She tells the women in the midseason trailer that she loves a woman, and Braunwyn came out as a lesbian last week.

The question is: How will that affect her marriage?

Her husband Sean tells her in the trailer that he has become a roommate that she doesn’t want to spend time with. I feel so bad for him. 

He has supported her through a lot in their life. He has stood by her side, tyding up her drunken mess for years. 

And now that she’s sober she doesn’t want to be with him? I just feel bad for him. But Braunwyn is adamant that it’s a modern marriage.

Maybe that’s the reason why her daughter wrote "fuck you, mom" on Instagram?

Gina Kirsherheiter has said in interviews that she think it’s a bad idea to bring Braunwyn back for another season.

Apparently her “confusing sexuality and marriage” is a burden for the other women to deal with. 

But at least there’s something interesting to watch this season!

Shannon Beador, the sourpuss hypochondriac, and her relationship falls apart. 

Emily Simpson questions if the new relationship is strong enough to last through the lockdown. And Shannon cries about how it wasn’t a fairytale. 

Jesus, another relationship she’s gonna complain about. I guess she can never be happy. I’m sorry, but I can’t stand Shannon! Complaining is her hobby.

While Kelly Dodd lives her steamy sex life with her fiancé in New York, Emily seems to be going through hell.

It appears that her husband Shane gets infected by the virus, and she cries about how he isn’t getting better.

Braunwyn tells us in the trailer that the pandemic didn’t only separate them, it divided them.

I think it’s safe to say that the women isn’t that crazy about Braunwyn. Will she be the only one against the group? 

Or will they have a problem with Elizabeth Vargas as well?

I just have to say, as someone who never watched any episodes of Flash, Arrow, or LoT before the first crossover with Supergirl, and only started watching past season episodes of Arrow and LoT (no Flash yet) in preparation for Earth X, your love of Olicity is refreshing. I fell in love with them through gifs and the Invasion crossover, and even more with my S1-S6 full binge. But all I see on my dash from other CW DC fans is salt about the Olicity wedding bit and Felicity hate. (1 of 2)

But Felicity is actually, so far so least, since I’ve only watched all of SG and Arrow, one of my favorite characters across the 4 shows. I agree that it’s a bit rude to interrupt a wedding to add your own, but at the same time Iris and Barry didn’t object, and they could have. But I just don’t understand the general Felicity and Olicity hate (maybe because I’ve never been involved in the fandoms for the shows) that seems to go way back for most people. So yeah, you’re refreshing. (2 of 2)

First thank you for your kind works. I, like you, also fell in love with them from gifs, it wasn’t until season 3 when the show came back from hiatus that I loved them more and more. Also with you about Felicity being your favorite, she’s mine as well.

I ship them both, though I love Olicity more because of the two, because I shipped them before Barry even had his own show.

I understand where people are coming from, I mean, they hyped up this crossover and it was suppose to be WA centric because the wedding is the feature event. Some of the posters were mainly WA smack dab in the middle. I can get the outrage, and as someone who loves Felicity and Oliver, individually and as a couple, there were moments in this crossover that were not the time or the place to be having conversations about getting married and having doubts - which is understandable because the last time they got engaged she got shot and was paralyzed by a mad man. But as soon as he proposed to her and she said no, something in my gut told me this wouldn’t be dropped. 

Literally every part of the crossover following the disaster was them trying to talk about it. And I understand, I get where y’all are coming from, but Barry has been in love with Iris since he was 10. He loves the fuck outta this girl, and now that they’re finally at the point where they’re in love and getting married, shit goes to hell. And then on top of that, you have Oliver and Felicity in their own world doing their own shit without trying to ask how the bride and groom, whose wedding day was fucking ruined by fucking N*zis, were doing?

Like I love Oliver and Felicity to death, but no babies, not the time or the place. And you have Barry and Iris, the sweethearts that they are giving them encouragement and listening to their problems all while trying to handle fucking N*ZIS??? Please don’t.

I’m so mad at this whole writing situation. Especially seeing that trailer for the Arrow midseason finale. I’m happy believe me, I’ve been waiting since years for them to get married, they deserve it after all they’ve been through. But come on now. Knowing that Olicity are getting a reception with their friends and family, and eating cake and having a good time, is all kinds of messed up on Westallen’s part. Like where is their reception with their friends and family at? Hell, even Oliver could’ve said no to Felicity’s proposal. “Let’s not do this now, this is their moment and I don’t want to take away from that.”

But on the flip side of this nonsense, you have people out here bitching and complaining talking about how Olicity ruined shit and what not. Yes, like I said before I get where they’re coming from, but if WA ain’t mad, why should you be? This wasn’t YOUR wedding. These aren’t YOUR friends. “Oh don’t invite Olicity to things.” “They ruined their wedding, blah blah blah.” Yeah they did, but so what? It wasn’t the wedding of their dreams, but unless I’m mistaken, didn’t Felicity say that John was ordained, meaning he can perform this quick little ceremony for Barry and Iris. They were cool with that happening. It’s not like they forced them to do it. It’s the timing of the thing that they have a problem with, from what I’m seeing. And because they don’t like the boring white couple, whereas the gold standard is superior

Also, from where I’m standing if it wasn’t for “Error” in the first damn place, the Flash wouldn’t exist. The only WA that would be existing would be in the comics. If it wasn’t for “Error”, Supergirl who dat? If it wasn’t for “Error” at all, these crossovers wouldn’t even be a thing.

As for Felicity, it’s idiot fanboys who are mad that what happens in comics past ain’t happening on Arrow - L/aurel and Oliver being together. The Black Canary and Green Arrow scenario they want. What show canon showed us was Oliver cheating on Laurel, multiple times, with her own sister, got a random woman pregnant and he was a fuckboi of the highest order, so no there was no way in hell he was end up with her in the end, on the TV SHOW. And right when she was on her deathbed IN THE SHOW, didn’t she tell him to work things out with Felicity? I must’ve been mistaken. 

If anything, it’s the writers who did this shit.

Thoughts on Star Trek Discovery

I just finished watching the first two episodes of STD and here we go. Foremost, it’s definitely different than previous Star Treks. This is my first series I’m watching live after binging all prev series this summer. (I’ve got 2 seasons on Ent and 1 on Voyager left). Spoiler light but there are some.

Things I liked:

Philippa and Michael’s relationship was complex and interesting and immediately drew me in (see bullet #1 under next section)

it looks like it will be super serialized. what i mean is that each episode will be a continuation of what happened in the previous. in past series, the entire series didn’t hinge on you having seen each one (unless it was a two parter and so on) but tv now has often become ultra serialized. so no mission of the week, it seems?

Kind of a double edged sword–I both liked and didn’t like spending so much time with the Klingons. I liked seeing the motivations and really understanding why this war starts. however, having the time split between the two ships distanced me from everything that was happening on Shenzhou. Honestly I just kept thinking about Worf and how he believes so strongly in klingon culture which apparently was started up again and cranked up due to t’kumva??? i’m not sure i like this retcon

god all the cinematography was just Beautiful??? the colors were bold and vibrant and it was a joy to watch 

i love this idea that Michael marries both logic and emotion. it’s basically what I’ve been screaming about to every vulcan on star trek. the spock parallels felt very strong to me but Michael hasn’t purged her emotion like the choice spock makes in star trek (2009). i’m very excited to see where this takes her character.

she has grey morality and I love a good antihero, someone who will break the rules if she feels that it is necessary.

it’s definitely different from past series’. i was wondering how they were going to make this one different from the others and it looks like they succeeded on that front.

did i mention how beautiful the SFX was? my god y’all

doug jones’s character was so cool and I want to know more about the redheaded lady helmsman. is she our first helmswoman other than people just taking over for a sec?? hells yeah

Things that I’m wasn’t crazy about:

they did a lot of talking exposition between characters trying to “catch us up on what has happened” and what the characters esp Michael and Philippa have been through together. i would have rathered they show than tell. and perhaps it would have persuaded me to care more about their relationship more than just their greatest hits dialogue.

in fact, they could have just done some mission of the week episodes to get me to really develop a love for all the bridge personnel before starting a war and i would have reacted much more strongly to the death of ensign connor and philippa. they could have done that for a midseason finale. i totally gasped for philippa though

okay i know this is being petty but where are my damn klingon birds of prey??? i love those green fucking ships. take this weird ass coffin covered ship and stick it in a nebula where the sun don’t shine

I’m a new trekkie but damn if i don’t miss those klingon forehead wrinkles from past series. i’d rather continuity rather than bold new makeup and prosthetic designs. i was willing to hold judgement on it until i saw it in the episode but now i’m :/ they really upped the “othering” feel of klingons. if you really wanted to show off new advances in makeup then just make some new crazy ass aliens and perfect the Klingon wrinkles

just overall a lot of retconning of klingons which I’m not sure adds to the story. we spent a lot of time with klingons in DS9 and it all felt really subjugated by this new take. i hope we’ll see their evolution into the klingons we know

in the 3-4 minute trailer for the rest of the series, there wasn’t a lot of talk about “hope” or the “human condition” or basically anything that I’ve come to recognize as profoundly starfleet values and that’s one of my favorite things about star trek. i DO NOT want them to sacrifice hope for being more gritty, realistic, or more in tune with what other shows are doing. give me my unrealistic hope for the future and thinly veiled moral tones. DS9 showed you could be gritty and realistic and still have hope.

Even though I’m worried about a few things, I’m still cautiously optimistic about the series and will happily boldly go.

Kakegurui Episode 1 review. I found kakegurui from Gigguk’s video titled “5 manga that deserve more attention” and I was instantly taken with it’s premise. The idea of suspense-driven game based anime has always been exciting to me, as I grew up a big fan of yugioh and death note. So a collaborative number of those approaches sounded like a great experience. I'll make no secret that I am not a big fan of the anime school setting.  However, the idea of a school attended by the children of elites where gambling determines your fate? Where you could be driven to debt and turned into a slave or climb to the top on the back of your competitors? Sounds pretty sick. And also like edgy yugioh gx. Besides my genuine interest in the premise, I must admit the show’s more fanservice-ey elements are really to my liking. Scary women trying to dominate each other? I mean I wanna stay professional here but uh, that’s my stuff. So, from the premise, to the art, to the tone conveyed from the trailers, to the slightly classier than usual but still sleazy fanservice…. This show was made for me to love.  To an almost absurd degree. The plot of the episode is pretty simple. Our narrator, Suzui, suffers a terrible defeat and is forced to be a slave under the system of Hyakkou academy.  Our “main character?” Jabami transfers in, and our Narrator shows her around. Once she hears that the school gambles a lot she decides to join in. However from her attitude it’s pretty clear that she came here to do just that in the first place. I’m not quite sure how much she’s playing dumb, but it is to some degree or another. Her first game is against Mary Saotome, the girl that beat Suzui in the opening scene, and they play a version of rock paper scissors where they draw a “hand” of RPS cards from a deck composed of secretly “voted” choices by the spectators. Jabami is able to figure out that Mary, has been cheating by having certain options be voted for by the other students present, and then she uses that to her advantage to win.  It is revealed that our narrator Suzui was the one helping Mary pull off her cheat, but Jabami decides to give him a stack of money- Perhaps enough to get him out of debt? out of actual gratitude that he was there to make things “more interesting”. Now this is pretty stupid, but in a badass, kind of exciting way. Cons: It feels like a pilot in the strictest sense. There is a vague fear that if i pushed any of the characters or set pieces they would fall over, revealed to be cardboard cutouts.  The show has this sense of darkness and deprativty that I just dont really see yet. That might not be my brain talking but I would definitely hope that it gets fucked up enough to warrant the kind of creepy faces the pretty girls get when they go nuts. Pros: The opening battle was cool, but not super impressive or unique compared to what I’ve seen. It was engaging, and interesting, and it reminded me of the D’arby arc of Jojo’s Bizzare Adventure: Stardust Crusaders just a bit. I’m a tiny bit worried that they might not have that many places to take it. You tend to put at least one of your best feet forward unless you’re really confident... And while that game was interesting it didn't show me anything I hadn't seen before or otherwise blow me away. The character designs are interesting, and frankly pretty sexy. I don’t have any complaints about the visuals but I’m not really that knowledgable on animation anyways so take that as you will. The music was pretty good. I love jazz. It felt kinetic and frantic and pulled me into the moment more. For an episode 1 I would give it a strong 6, with a strong belief that the series’ premise will allow for it to climb much higher for me if it’s executed to it’s potential. I can’t recommend it as being absolutely worth watching to absolutely anyone from the first episode alone, but I know that because of my tastes and uh.. "Tastes" that I will probably be watching for the remainder of the summer season. If all goes well, I’ll take home another favorite. It has a lot of potential, but I have minor complaints and doubts on its ability to execute those beyond being just “good”. I’ll be back with another review around midseason. Or whenever something truly great or truly stupid happens in between.
