I had the dumbest accident ever at cheer practice and now I'll need surgery. Fml.

If you're unfamiliar, I'm disabled and medically signed off work with ongoing chronic/incurable conditions like fibro/EDS/ME etc. I don't like asking for help but I'm looking down the barrel of a very long, frankly horrifying gun in terms of this specific problem. @krokaxe for srb purposes.

ough i was awake until almost 9 this morning with stupid fucking jaw pain so i got like 5 hours of shitty inconsistent sleep and i want to just curl up on the floor n disappear (or cry. both would be fine tbh)

#rambles.#lowkey i was horrified of a blown head gasket but i checked the oil color and it looks fine#i mean i can’t rule it out 100% but i also ran a scan and i think it’s pointing me more towards coolant hose leak/thermostat issues#maybe radiator but that’s still better than like $2k for a head gasket replacement#i would have no fucking money left deadass. that’s the entirety of my savings#(and i’ll be spending the rest next week getting a tiny piece of metal drilled into my jaw)#so!!!!! fingers crossed we just have a cracked hose lmfao 🤞🏻

Person in the room directluy next to me appears to be watching every Harry Potter movie with the tv cranked up to full volume. Guy above me keeps making this really weird 'hhhuurrrrr hurrrrrrr' noise that MIGHT be a cough but I'm not sure. This is the true cheap motel experience

way long ago i was in physical and occupational therapy. they had me do wall push ups and my wrists made the loudest cracking sound and bent so that the back of my hand was almost touching my forearms. so they redesigned the activity. what the hell is wrong with me

Fun fact about me: I literally have to unhinge my jaw to eat lmao
#I have lockjaw bc someone fucked up my wisdom tooth extraction when I was 18#and I remember thinking it was really weird that when I called back the office a week after the procedure to ask about my stitches#I asked for the surgeon my name and they said he no longer worked there#and only recently did I realize he probably retired after my procedure because he fucked it up#and he wanted to avoid me potentially committing a malpractice suit#so when my jaw locks up and I need to take a bigger bite of food#my jaw has to crack open#it doesn't like hurt or anything tho#it's just really fucking annoying ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I guess Ten Forward seems the calmest, and I'd like to look out of the windows - but "food and drinks in the same space as your superiors and coworkers who you don't know very well" seems like a circle of hell made for me especially. I just answered this saying I'd like to be a Betazoid, buuut my number two pick would be the one that those aliens from one TNG episode I can't remember the name of. But they were the ones that were all addicted to drugs different aliens were selling them - it might have been the episode with the Wesley DARE moment?
Either way, they look like normal humans but they have like, electricity powers and they can shock people. I always thought that was cool. I would shake people's hands and pretend it was just some really intense static shock.
