It's quite funny having followed you for years and years and knowing Machete as his dark, bloodied, cunning (and always on the edge of getting horribly murdered for his hubris) incarnation, and coming into 2024 and just... yeah he's gay now. Adding on to this post (which I do suggest reading before you read this one!) because I've been seeing a bunch of stuff about the TOG graphic novel floating around and another thing popped into my head!

More specifically, about the physical form of Sleep.

In the TMBTE artwork, it's easily seen that, in one way or another, the Moon is alive. At least, to the point it has a whispering mouth full of sharp teeth and tar-like tongues.

In the transcripts for the tier 4 bundle page (thank you to @elkkiel for said transcript!) the first line states, "15 days since the convergence of the lunar anomaly".

Convergence is when two or more things come together to form a new whole, and, in biology, it's the tendency of unrelated animals and plants to evolve similar characteristics under similar environmental conditions. With that in mind, this could be a dying God changing in order to remind people it's still a God, and, that it never left.

What once only appeared in nightmares and wistful dreams now sits high in the night sky as a pale reminder of our fickle lives.

Plus, the presale went out on the day of a super blue moon.

Further, Sundowning's release had a Waning Cresent, with symbolises self care and mental contemplation, TPWBYT's had a Waning Gibbous, which symbolises releasing old habits and attempting to change, and TMBTE's had a new moon, which represents new beginnings. This album just so happens to have the song Euclid (which I've jabbered on about enough), which is about becoming someone new and accepting things can't be the same.

Next, we have "I was frequently beset by certain recurring dreams...I found myself standing on a vast shoreline gazing out at a flat, wide sea." The first thing that comes to mind is the Fall For Me MV, which just so happens to be apart of TPWBYT: the water based album.

Night time is, quite obviously, when the moon is most visable, and is also when most people sleep. Asides from this, the moon also controls ocean tides. The closer a moon is (e.g: a supermoon, or an unspecified lunar anomaly), the higher and more violent a tide can become.

Further, if and when the sun, moon, and or Earth are in alignment (at the time of the new or full moon), the solar tide has an additive effect on the lunar tide, creating extra-high high tides, and very low, low tides.

Sound familiar?

Whether Sleep is the moon, or was birthed from the moon back when they first became a God (one of @tonguetyd's ideas), is up for debate.

With all that, and the previous thoughts on Telomeres already thought out: "I felt that were I to somehow survive...then I would be left in a world that would not recognize me. I would become an element unto myself and myself alone. An echo stuck in the throat of a dead God."

So, I'd like to say that TPWBYT is Sleep's album, if anything. Or, in the least, heavily dictated by them in ways other than directly influencing Vessel.

I'm still weeping about how fcking ugly that figure is. Skul looks like he will fall over or run against a pole. Also, why the glossy finish?? Gloss shows like ALL your mistakes while matt hides it somewhat, plus suits ain't glossy. It makes it so obvious he doesn't really understand folds.

And then he demands such a high price?? I get that the other figures are from video games which make more money and have a bigger audience, but if you are gonna take such a high price for a figure at least make sure your customers get their money's worth!

Why is this random ass youtuber doing it more professionally than a 'globally bestselling' author that has HarperCollins, one of the biggest publishers in the world, backing him??? Instead, he goes the nepotism route because he's cheap. Sorry, but his brother is not a good sculptor and he's a worse concept artist and his paint jobs ain't great either. Landy would only have to cough up the money for the concept art up front, then he could do a Kickstarter again and use that to pay the sculptor and the production and box art.

And then this sets me off even more, because what the fck kind of backwaters hillbilly operation is this, why is he packing them in a fcking shed

The only thing he is committed to is being cheap!

I love figures so much and watching this is just killing me on the inside 😱 it's just a card box. Does he not know that the boxes that figures come in can be displayed too?? I certainly do for most figures I got!

(i follow them, they dont follow back, but i interact with the detco content they post so much that i might as well be that one guy in the corner watching the rest of the mutuals talk) HELLO- some of you have probs seen me in ur rbs/tags (depending on who sees this) , and i dont really ever post my Own things, but i do draw ! a lot ! ive done a lot of things and i want more fans to see bc everyone here is so cool 😭 this isnt an interest post more just a "hey whos out there thatll see what i post" kinda deal- ill attach some art under the cut but pretty much what im trying to say is,, (literally choose whatever speaks to ur heart)

these vary in recent-ness,, im in school and im left with very little time to draw, so some of these are from a month or two ago ;; but i only picked what i think still looks good ^^ some are quick doodles, others are unfinished, or even just drawings to test techniques (like the colored shinichi one)- and the second drawing isnt even detco LMAO

the 3rd and 7th doodles are from my project sekai au, thats an explanation for a different post,, and the last 2 are APTX!Heiji doodles !! the last ones part of a mini comic i made a bit back about him first waking up shrunk, which i can make a post with the whole thing later (maybe- it looks a little wonky)

but thats all for now ^^ sorry long first art post but i wanted to let this be sort of also me introducing my art and myself a bit,, and part of me is that i talk way to fuckin much LMFAO- detco is such a huge hyperfixation, and its so important to me and i just adore it so much- so i ramble and ramble and ramble on and on about it

To me its crazy that there's not a Hanahaki Kevin fic out there. It doesn't even have to be about about a specific romantic relationship it could be gen (familial love Hanahaki hits different okay).

It's just that Kevin Day is repressing feelings the rest of the world didn't even know existed and I feel like we as a society don't appreciate that enough

i'm not usually a hanahaki fan but 1) you're right 2) i do believe there was a keremy hanahaki fic somewhere across the sea of time but i don't have anything to claim for it aside from a vague memory of reading it

BUT YEAH. honestly no one in the world would be a better (worse?) victim of hanahaki than this loser. he would never dare to express its existence unless it became an active hindrance in court. when asked who its about he would genuinely have no idea. do you know how infuriating it would be to ask someone who gave them hanahaki and hear that they DON'T KNOW? kevin. day. i'm going to drown you in the toilet.

it is a very good concept though!!!!!! he IS indeed repressing feelings the rest of the world didnt even know existed and i love love love situations where a character cant hide from their feelings because they become a external manifestation. yeah hanahaki is cliche and it might be easy angst but when done Right it can be a delicious homemade meal that reminds you of picking apples at papas orchard
