Alas, dear friend, I write to you to inform you of dreadful news!

I awoke in the wee hours of the morn (4am) wracked with The Chills (got my COVID booster yesterday). I had to brave a trip alone (my family is asleep) to the distant apothecary (the bathroom two feet from my bedroom) in search of remedies strange and rare (generic ibuprofen). All that is left is to hope that the fireplace stays roaring so that I might not succumb to my illness (I want my electric blanket to cook me alive).

If you do not hear from me again, I fear it is too late (I'm taking a nap).
