I have not been able to get this out of my mind since I saw this post a few weeks ago. When @thisisnotawendys suggested the ~brilliant~ idea of Milo Ventimiglia as live action Vegeta. So naturally I had to stay up way past my bedtime to make a silly little sketch of this. I have gone back and forth about, I don’t know, a billion times over the years about who my dream IRL Vegeta would be. And honestly Milo is *chef’s kiss* (I mean we’ve got the versatility of Bad Boy Jess and Daddy Jack Pearson so again, perfect for Vegeta). I’ve tried to draw a realistic Vegeta many times before (in sketchbooks in high school a hundred years ago) but this is my first recent attempt and the same struggle I had in high school is how the effff do I make a realistic Vegeta with that wild flame hair. So I made 2 versions, one with slightly more realistic looking hair, and one with good ol’ Vegeets hair. The profile looks more like Tom Hiddleston for some reason but honestly I’m okay with that too (I’ve thought about him as Vegeta many times too, so maybe it was unconsciously done). *continues rambling on in the distance forever*

I believe that the leaders of the Spice Swarm (Cilantro Cobra, Saffron Buffalo, Pepper Pangolin and Nutmeg Tiger) are all touch starved but in different ways.

Cilantro Cobra cookie wants to be treated like a princess and is completely unapologetic about it. She's just a girl, your honour, she is innocent on all charges. Y/N's schedule needs to be cleared, since nothing can get done if Cilantro Cobra cookie gets her way.

Saffron Buffalo cookie, on the other hand wants to hold Y/N and be complemented. He will be so smug about it like he wasn't actively fishing for compliments the entire time. He might not have gotten praise and glory from his master but Y/N's is probably better anyways.

Pepper Pangolin cookie is the living embodiment of the whole "affection? Disgusting. Do it again." Meme. He will refuse to ask Y/N for physical affection, at best they get a vague hint that he wants to hold hands and even then he will be tsundere about it.

Nutmeg Tiger cookie is just a very big cat. She will demand that Y/N pet her at 3 am and follow them around the house.

Saffron Buffalo did make it of note that he wanted to bring in Golden Cheese to gain Spice’s favor, so I can see him being all proud and alike that he’s managed to…hold your hand. A sacred act between close cookies that’s above any gesture of affection.

Pepper Pangolin Cookie swear to the moon and back that he does not enjoy the attention that you give him, he’s just…really bored without company around and he’ll only accept your company! Don’t try any of that teasing stuff or he’s hissing at you before turning away with a pout.

You better have not gotten close with any cookies before you returned to the castle. Nutmeg Tiger Cookie WILL smell the scent of weak cookies on you, scoffing on how you were completely willing to be around them. You’ll need a refresher on your scent and she’ll fix that for you, dragging you to the bed by your shirt collar to cuddle.

Stardom is a stronger placement than Fama in my opinion. You could always experience fame at some point in your life (being a meme, having a video go viral, etc) but it's nowhere near the level of stardom. This placement specifically shows how I will stand out in comparison to others. Sagittarius is well known for being philosophical, optimistic, and honest. People could appreciate or admire these characteristics that I have. Starr being in the 1st house could mean being popular for taking on the role of a leader and not being a follower. 1st house also pertains to the physical appearance as well as 7° (Libra degree), so I could be seen as having attractive attributes. I also interpert this as my personality being considered humorous and that I will be fair to others

Sagittarius Singer in the 1st house 7.59 (could be rounded to 8)°:

Sagittarius is so prominent in my Solar return chart it seems?! I see this as being a singer who's versatile and carefree. As much as I enjoy singing, I am not professionally trained, nor would I consider myself a technical singer. I see this as actually putting in the effort to practice and gaining wisdom from other singers techniques. This could also mean to sing various musical genres or blending different cultures into the songs I sing. Capricorn Fama is a interesting placement considering it feels neutral here. I see this as having knowledge and means for me to become a celebrity. It could be possible I meet celebrities who are well seasoned and think they could steal my "picnic basket" so to speak. I am someone who is quite shy and being in the spotlight can be nervewracking for me. I am able to do a lot of things from drawing, singing, etc, but I am not very public about my talents or skills because it draws too much attention. Scorpio is very private, they are known for hiding anything personal about themselves and typically are considered mysterious to others. Leo Actor in the 9th house 5°:

I see that I would be successful if I were to start an acting career! There could be a lot of potential for my acting skills and I would have to take lessons to improve them (9th house often being considered the house of travel, knowledge, and education). This could also mean I will be casted for roles because of my race or cultural background. It is possible it would be required for me to travel for my acting career or I would have to speak in a foreign language. 5° degree is the Leo degree and it also signifies short term fame, going viral, or being famous for your beauty. my thoughts on dbh as someone entering the fandom in 2024

so just got into the dbh fandom like in aug 2024. i have watched too much gameplay, read the wiki extensively, read an obscene amount of fanfics on ao3, and am in the process of writing my own. here are some of my thoughts (that no one has asked for):

every fanfic writer who started in 2018 and is still updating their works in 2024 are literal saints and some of the best damn writers i ever did saw and the dedication is fucking unreal. one fic had almost 2 million words??????? like BRUH. some are still ongoing and updated this year?? the dbh fandom in ao3 is not thriving as much as it was in 2018 (i say this purely as someone who's looking at the hits/kudos/comment ratios on older v. new works) but they are still alive!!!!

i am puzzled with the obsession with gavin reed. there are like a million fics that feature him and rk900. i am confused bc he did not seem like a redeeming character at all in my opinion and idk, i think he's just an asshole. i like the redemption arcs some ppl write for him but i just can't with him. i mean you ship who you wanna ship but i am not a reed fan and i am confused how he became so popular when all he did was bully our poor boi connor.

i personally don't ship hank x connor bc they give strong father-son vibes in the canon. however, i am obsessed with how jolli_bean writes the pairing on ao3 since its usually a canon divergence or an AU so the pair meet later in life. there are some fics that follow the canon and do a pretty good job with the pairing, but i just tend to keep it familial between them in my head. (but like i said, ship who you want to ship)

i am glad there's a vague consensus that we all wished alice stayed a human bc i feel like that lends itself to a more interesting narrative post-game. tho i guess her being an android is fine bc now kara, luthor, and alice can live as one happy family in canada forvever lol

i am literally obsessed with bryan dechart's acting as connor. like if you haven't seen him play connor in real life for the interactive #detroit2038 premiere event, then you gotta watch some of the live stream. like he doesn't break character the whole time and his physicality just screams connor and i just really appreciate how much effort he put in as an actor to really embody the character. just so impressive and i wish there was more bts of him acting as connor bc its just so nuanced and ugh *chef's kiss* if they ever made a live action dbh it would be impossible for anyone else to play connor

i also love how everyone is like yes, we all know connor likes dogs but he also likes fish bc of that one fish you can save in the very first minute of gameplay hahahah. (his name is dewey and it is vitally important you save him). i also appreciate how the "i like dogs" line will undoubtedly find it's way into every fic possible lol

i think the love for simon is very good and well and amazing but i think josh deserves more love in fics too

i love how the fandom just latched onto rk900 and rk800-60 and fleshed out their personalities and i love reading ppl's interpretation of these characters and how they incorporate them into their stories. it's funny they only show up like one time and ppl just ran with it and it's so fun and creative and i love it.

i love the hc that chloe deviated when connor chose not to shoot her. that's the best hc. like it's canon in my heart idc

bless all the fic writers who have mastered the art of explaining how androids mind and bodies work bc there are so many gaps and possibilities left open in the lore and it's incredible to see what ppl come up with or interpret based off the canon. (i still feel 50/50 about when they make deviants feel pain cause like androids not feeling pain is such a big part of the canon and yeah i'll give it a pass if the fic does it for the whumps and the angst but i prefer when a fic finds a canon-compliant reason for deviants to feel pain, even if its just like they got a chip or software installed that makes them feel pain or something)

every pairing that i find in this fandom, i tend to be like... "yeah i can see that." (with the exception of hank x connor for reasons i stated in #3). i'm still like ehhh on reed900 or even gavin x connor bc i just don't think it makes sense in the canon but if it's written well i just shrug and say yeah i guess i could see that. some rarepairs i ended up absolutely adoring were chloe x north and rk900 x north (i realize they're both north but she has such good potential for character dynamics)

okay, there is a common trope in the dbh fanfics where connor loses his memory and that shit gets me everytime. i'm always bawling and anxiously waiting for him to fucking REMEMBER and i hate and love it and eat it up every. single. time. usually, the memory loss happens early in the fic and it's pretty expected but sometimes i get blindsided and i'm like FUCK not this shit again but i can't stop reading it and the angst is so palpable.

i think it's so interesting how ra9 is just like this mystery in the lore that never gets entirely explained in the game. it's like something you can totally kinda ignore but it does have interesting lore implications if you decide to really think about it.

i adore all the characters in dbh equally except for connor who is the certified best boi and my absolute favorite (no one is shocked by this declaration). and the characters on my shit list are zlatko, todd, and sometimes reed.

i have a running joke that my OC knows too many dragons despite being just a normal human guy. this is an edited version of this post where i tried to list every single dragon in genshin impact and if they would/had interacted with her. OC x canon headcanons included.

Teyvat in general;

Dvalin: has been to Mondstadt before, but has never interacted with Dvalin

Durin: has also been to Dragonspine before and has seen Durin's remains, no idea if she'd have any reason to interact with baby Durin

Azhdaha: nearly impossible for Silvie to meet him

Apep: will probably never interact with her, though since Apep's garden is so close to Fontaine i would love so badly for her and Neuvillette to interact. But Silvie is very good with critters so i think the critter living inside Apep would like her

Liyue;

Zhongli: has interacted with him once or twice during lantern rite and had no idea who he was in the moment, as the embodiment of the apollo dodgeball meme she sure knows how to clock the weird ass higher powers of Teyvat. probably makes a one off comment like "wow you guys (my oc gang) know so many secrets about Teyvat. whats next? the geo archon is still alive? haha" and everyone is just dead silent as that.

Ira (OC): i'm still putting my Adeptus oc here, since his original backstory was being one of the many reincarnations of the Pyro Dragon Sovereign and i'm in the process of shuffling things around to fit with Natlan's lore

Neuvillette: he is fighting for his life trying to get all these other dragons away from his partner. Silvie is his personal assistant who accidentally reveals too much about himself and it causes her to connect the dots about his true identity. He is the one to turn Silvie part-dragon to save her life

Elynas: would you consider him a dragon? well Silvie meets him during the Ancient Colors world quest(s)

Scylla: Her and Niko are both very involved with the Narzissenkreuz and Remuria questlines, Silvie HAS met Scylla and he wants to keep in touch with her after that world quest. he keeps trying to rizz her up but after running into her AND Neuvillette hes like 'Oh Mighty Sovereign i am so sorry i didnt realize she was your mate' and Silvie is like 'im a WHAT'

Natlan;

Nugget (Saurian world quest NPC): She gets imprinted on by Little One and he will not leave her alone, Silvie carries him around throughout all the Natlan story arcs. She is very emotionally attached to Nugget because she sees them both as physically sick looking for a cure together. congrats Neuvillette you are now a father!!!

Ajaw: Meets him during the archon quest, she thinks he's silly and nonthreatening but Ajaw views her as an 'acceptable servant' and thinks that whenever she interacts with kinich that she's actually there to see HIM

Waxaklahun Uban Kan/Sage of the Stolen Flame/Dragon Sage: As the one pulling the strings behind the the Little One world quests, he is quite interested in Silvie's status as a human turned part-dragon since he believes humans are just the next stage of dragon species evolution. more will probably come from this since the Little One world quests series hasn't been finished yet. But i have a feeling that Silvie isn't gonna like him at all (which is why i want them to kiss)

Och-Kan: Meets him as both Cocouik and the Cinder City Dragon during the Ochkanatlan world quest series. She finds Cocouik cute but after learning Och-Kan's whole story, it makes her really sad and she hugs him in his last moments. they both share similar feelings to how they were raised and begins to dislike like the Dragon Sage despite not meeting him yet.

Ira as a reincarnation of Xiuhcoatl (OC): his previous incarnation as adeptus (who lost his powers and memories before the Archon War began) stole a fragment of the original Pyro Sovereign's power which still unknowingly exists within Ira.

Gosoythoth (The Abyss) mimicking the form of Xiuhcoatl: Realistically she did not enter the Night Kingdom to fight against it during that final archon quest, but that's not stopping me from wanting her to get absolutely railed by that abyssal dragon. Silvie can fix the physical manifestation of the Abyss trust me.

You don't often start a sunny November and the holiday season with a cautionary tale, but here we are.

Maybe it’s because the social media collective declared an early spooky season this year in response to the apocalyptic heat this summer, and we are all feeling a little fatigue at the end of it. I get a strange sense of melancholy blowing in the wind today, which seems an odd way to start the Holiday season. It’s all turkey dinners and holiday shopping this month - I’ve already heard Carol of the Bells in advertising. That’s hard core.

A sunny Thursday like this doesn’t often start with a feeling of caution but here we are.

Today’s card is the king of pentacles, in reverse (meaning the card turned over upside down relative to the person doing the reading.)

“So what?” you might ask.

Every Tarot reader handles reversals in their own way. Some always reverse the meaning into ‘darker’ meanings. Some make it into the opposite of the upright meaning. Some disregard them outright. As we are learning in the Wednesday “Learn With Me: Lenormand” series, Lenormand readings handle reversals by not handling them. They just flip the card and go on as usual.

In true Taoism influenced style, I do a blend of both. The cards embody both light and dark, positive and negative aspects all the time anyway. I take all of those aspects into consideration with every reading regardless of the card’s orientation. When a reversal comes along, I let intuition lead. Either it is a hint that the card’s layout position is blocked or turbulent or somehow problematic OR it can feel energetically neutral and I just flip it upright and move on like the Lenormand folks do.

In this case, it feels like it is telling us something.

The phrase “risky buiseness” comes through. The King of Pentacles can reflect material success, a breadwinner, a provider, a good payoff for hard work.

Reversed, it can mean that sort of prosperity flow can get jumbled up.

To be literal about it - don’t get carried away this holiday season. Don’t go into debt or live beyond your means just for the sake of social expectations about how holidays are “supposed” to be celebrated, whatever your chosen holiday may be.

Here, I am reminded of a meme…”tradition is just peer pressure from dead people.” I have a sense that this meme might be particularly true this year. We’ve all been through a heckuva thing with the pandemic and such. We have an opportunity to re-define our Holidays. Let go of the peer pressure from dead people and make this year into something heartfelt more than material.

The suit of coins / pentacles is focused on the material realm, career, wealth and so on - but this is Tarot. The whole point of Tarot is understanding and spirituality, not physical realm predictions. Tarot isn’t made for physical realm except where physical and mental/emotional/spiritual all meet. The whole suit has esoteric threads intertwined with its real-world practicality. The whole suit has a “money can’t buy happiness” element to it.

My hunch that is what the inverted King is telling us. This isn’t the year for materialistic celebrations OR for forced traditions. Friendsgiving is a thing. This is a year for found family and perhaps a chance to let go of toxic or forced traditions that bow to the peer pressure from generations past.

That isn’t to say be overly austere. Celebrate. Indulge in the traditions and treats that speak to your heart. But don’t spend money or energy or emotion necessarily forcing yourself (or trying to coerce anyone else) into following old traditions that no longer serve or excesses that are no longer needed. Do, but do the truly meaningful, heartfelt things. Do, but let go of the forced, habitual, or ostentatious. Mind your bank account - both physical and emotional - this holiday season.

You should read the sources you send me and notice what is missing in them. Because there's a very interesting way of lying called the half truth. Which Snopes is very accustomed to. And frankly I think that any person who can look at what we have in this country of thousands of institutions meant for both international and domestic relief in disasters and then has to ask themselves the real hard question of why is it that I am giving my money to a political campaign in order to give money to the victims.

Because I have to ask the real hard question of why is a political organization a political lobbyist group handling such donations for the relief of disaster victims in the first place. Especially considering that the disaster victims were the victims of that political blocks candidates incompetence.

Because in their entire spiel about it what is necessarily missing.

The same thing that is missing in the others so-called takedown which you also did not read. Because I did and I did not find it convincing because there was a lack of funding a lack of support a lack of the basic services that we had even a couple of decades ago. And interestingly enough the self-admitted practice of FEMA rescuers skipping over certain people for rescue based on who they voted for.

Which was my actual reference.

And as for the censorship on every level there was political violence is on our college campuses and our streets and our cities and our country along the political lines. We had professors being forced to either give up their degrees and exchange for being compelled and to what was a reeducation program based on their views. To the censorship that has taken place across the western world from the UK where people are sent to jail not just for jokes but for memes on their phone which were sent to no one.

On every level you will see that the trend and the standard of the world is not one of free speech and expression but of censorship.

Not to mention the tearing down a posters with box cutters no less by certain feminist groups, to the throwing of fireworks at speakers to the marching on stage and personally threatening speakers, to the attempts on some of their lives very recently, to the violence I've seen personally on college campuses personally seen it personally was there and I saw it. So do not lie to me and say it doesn't happen because I've seen it. I know it's there because I've seen it.

Censorship has been your creed since the start. On an almost fundamental level censorship has been the goal of your political system do not lie to me and proclaim a virtue you do not hold.

And darling you aren't even important enough to be a threat because I don't see you as a threat nothing about you is threatening not intellectually not physically nothing nothing about you scares me.
