Sometimes (with increasing frequency) I get what I like to call "American ME brain" (I'm not a mechanical engineer) (but I imagine that most are infected with this state of mind on a more regular basis) where all of my thoughts come together in inspiring harmony, and I stop doing whatever I'm doing to look up at the distant horizon with a single, joyous tear in my eye. In that brief and beautiful moment I am struck by a single idea: "wow. cars are cool". Then the voices dissolve once again into meaningless chatter and I continue on with my life, with just the faint impression of cars upon my conscious remaining for me to ponder at a later date.
