(unfortunately) the guitarist falls to his knees as he plays the final notes, asking him “who are you?” (he shows us their Spotify) popping in, on the way home to pee- surreal for the tinny music of Olivia Rodrigo playing in an east London McDonald’s at 10:30pm on a Monday night leaving without buying anything acting suave as we breeze through the sliding doors past many many men, getting raspberries and stroop waffles for the train ride home, we talk about the ability to work to live not live to work !! I brush my teeth at 1:05am

jamie describing neteyam as “different” than the other kids… soo real.. in the beginning of the movie neteyam doesnt rlly hang out with his siblings when they wander off into the forest for hours doing who knows what.. he has a sense of “eldest” responsibility that none of the other kids have to carry and it kind of just changes the way he ended up being/grew up. hes never really been care free. he thinks first in times when others might just jump into things… the way hes separated from his siblings in terms of responsibility kind of isolates him from them and honestly! he feels kind of lonely.
