I got tagged by @whump-captain to participate in the challenge. If you see this and want to participate, feel free! Don't by shy~ 1. Favorite whump trope(s)? Anything that'll make a whumpee bleed from the side. Shot, stabbed, you name it !

2. Least favorite whump trope(s)? I'm really not into whump with a whumper or pet whump. 

3. Top 3 whump scenes and why? No.6 episode 11. Oh man, this whole episode goes so hard, if you know, you know Detective Conan Chapter 251-254. I remember obsessively rereading these chapters as a 8yo kid No third place because there are 100 scenes fighting for the 3rd place in my head so I'll leave this empty

4. Top 3 characters to whump and why? Lance from Voltron. I love goofballs getting whumped. The switch between their goofy personalities to just pain, yes. Kaeya from Genshin. If anyone has good whump fanfics, please send them this way. This man is a walking whumpee Can't think of a 3rd character so I'll say my OC Birb 

5. Favorite fandom for whump (show, series, etc)? Anime/manga, animated show (Voltron, Avatar, in these kind of styles where adults look like adults) or Webtoons 

6. Do you prefer written or watchable whump? Watchable but I also enjoy written 

7. Do you also like hurt/comfort? Hell yes ! 

8. What do you think the difference between hurt/comfort and whump is? Hurt/comfort : gentle pat pat to soothe the pain Whump : stab stab to do the pain 

9. How would you explain whump to someone who’s not familiar with it? Angst but add pain, blood and injuries to it. 

10. Is there any old whump you particularly enjoy? (say, pre 2000?) It's gonna be 2000 exactly : Mulan. The moment when she realised she got hurt by Shan Yu. 

11. Why do you think you like whump? Good question it's always been there since I was really young. 

12. When did you realize you liked whump? Never, as mentioned before, it kinda was there all the time. 

13. Favorite posts with whump (gifsets, picspams, etc) ✨Art✨ 

14. Are you “out” to people in real life? My bff know that I love "angst" especially when it's bloody. I think I told them once that I found the whump community, but I'm sure I didn't say the word whump specifically 

15. How did you find the whump community? I was probably looking at "injured" or similar tags until I think I found an anime whump gifset and connected the dots when I saw the tag "whump" 

16. Any unusual mediums you like for whump (plays, music, vlogs, etc)? Stock photos. With enough imaginations, lots of things can be whumpy. It's like using a filter but with your brain. 

17. Any meta about whump you’ve been dying to share? None that I think of at the moment. 

18. Whump fic(s) you’d love to see? I'd love to read some Thoma whump from Genshin Impact. Haven't check now if there's something new with him 

19. Whump you’re looking forward to? (Maybe something teased or something you haven’t seen yet?) I am well fed with whump at the moment 👌 

20. Top 3 favorite whump fics? Oh god. I never save fics and then regret it when I want to read them again. The Purity of Sin by IcyPanther. I red it in one sitting before going to bed and then I realized it's 4am when I was finished There was a fanfic with Lance getting pneumonia while being stranded with Shiro and I can't find it ;-; A fic with my fem!Hawkle and Fenris my bff wrote me a few years ago 👌

21. Tropes you think are overdone? Whumper/Whumpee and captive whump. Let whumpees be hurt by nature in the wild far from any humans for a change. 

22. Tropes you think we could use more of? Environmental whump or whump without a whumper. 

23. Favorite sites/archives for consuming whump? Tumblr, AO3, Pinterest, Youtube 

24. Have your whump preferences changed recently? If so, why? Recently nothing has changed, but I'm always down to explore new tropes. Like I did with a tiny whumpee some times ago

Forgiven And Returned

(Natemare x reader)

Natemare returned back to just outside your bedroom door after leaving for a week, because that’s how he copes when you get in fights. He doesn’t exactly deal with the issue but it helps him clear his head. He came home at a late hour to assure you’d be home from work but when he peeked inside the room he was disappointed to find you weren’t there. He looked everywhere, trying to be secretive, but gave up opting to just shout your name into the empty house. He was unnerved because he was sure you had no plans that required you to be out that late at night and overtime couldn’t have gone on into these hours. Even though he was exhausted from wandering around and clearing his head all week, he stayed up waiting for you, even though his plan was to lie against your warm sleeping form because he needed the comfort you gave him after being deprived of it for what felt like an eternity. He didn’t realise how long he’d stayed up waiting for you until he saw the first rays of sunlight seeping into your home. That was it. He had been worried, now he was terrified. What could have happened to you in the space of a week? There could have been a serial killer that’s dumped your body somewhere. You could have been kidnapped and be being tortured right now by some maniac. You were emotional when he left, what if you were so emotional you caused a car accident and you never got to set foot back in your home…what if the last time you saw each other was when you were fighting? Natemare couldn’t take it any more as his panicked cries rode through each room again and eventually on the streets as he knocked on every neighbours door, from the ones he’d helped cross the roads to the ones he’d threatened to murder in unique ways, but it didn’t stop there. He went to your work and found a coworker who you were both friendly with. You hadn’t shown up to your job in two days, today being the third! And what’s worse, you left your phone there, so there was really no way of contacting you. He spoke to the host and according to him no entity had taken you. So where could you be?! Natemare had decided to go back to your home since most people would question why his tears looked more like dark water paint, and he shuffled under your blankets, to at least familiarise your scent again. If you had been harmed while he was away brooding selfishly then…well, he’d definitely hurt the person who made that happen, but right now he was holding that blame on himself… He almost tripped over as the home phone rang and he ran to pick it up, still cocooned in blankets with darker tears as more fell. “Hello?! Who is this?!” His breath hitched hoping for your voice on the end of the line but his hopes were crushed when he heard the coworker he had just spoken to. “Did you remember something else?” He asked hopefully yet still slightly annoyed that it was a person he had already interviewed. What if you, or your captor, called right now but he was on the phone with some unhelpful mortal?! “W-well since y/n’s been missing for a few days, well, do you want us to call the police for you?” Mare kept breathing heavily down the phone “I-I mean, with you two in a fight and stuff-” mare growled at them knowing this knowledge about your relationship, “It’s, erm, probably the best, for y/n’s sake.” Natemare thought hard about this, even though the mortal police would be useless in situations containing his own kind, they might be able to track down a missing human, especially if it was natural causes, which was a possibility. He didn’t like the fact he’d be interviewed because there were some things he’d have to lie about to avoid being thought of as crazy and he might become a suspect since people didn’t always get a positive impression off him, but at this moment he couldn’t care less what could happen to him. He just wanted you back… “No, it’s okay” he said running his hands through his hair “I’ll call them myself, it’s easier.” And he spat out the last bit, too energetic to want to be polite “thank you though.” “Oh, okay. You’re wel-” and he put down the phone. He dried his tears with the back of his hand as he started to dial the number 9. That’s how far he got, because he suddenly heard the doors lock clicking open. He threw the phone, losing his blankets in the frenzy, as he sprinted towards the doorway where you were taking off your coat. He ran wordlessly up to you and effortlessly picked you up, spinning the two of you around as he held you tight against him. He didn’t want you to get too dizzy so he eventually put you back on the ground, still not letting you go and screwed his eyes closed as he pressed a kiss to your shoulder. “Mare?” You asked, shocked to see him. He cried out at you “Where the hell have you been y/n?” His left hand shook your shoulder as his right held the small of your back, so your lower bodies were still pressed together. Natemare looked distraught. He already held the faint look of a homeless junkie after wandering aimlessly for a week and he hadn’t had time to clean up before he saw you as he had planned the night before. Now with all the panic and fear he’d recently experienced running around, his disheveled hair and dark bags under his eyes, kind of hard to discern with his smudged tears, he looked like the epitome of a broken man. “Mare, I went to say with my parents for a few days… with all our recent fights I needed a break from being alone in this house, especially when I had no idea when or if you’d come back!” Natemare did feel bad about how much you’d both fought recently. It was really neithers fault, natemare had had a lot of stress from other entities, way more than usual, and you’d been having work and bill troubles so emotions ran high. But at this moment in time Natemare didn’t feel like he could ever bear to fight with you again, not after the scare that your fights could be the last thing you experience before the inevitable of all mortals. Even if he was still quite angry at you not even leaving a note for when you would return all he cared about right now was that you were safe, and that you were in his arms. “We’re still okay right? We can work through this mare.” It was as if you could read his mind and to answer your question he could have done a number of things, he could have ravished your lips in a hungry all-consuming kiss or throw you over his shoulder and travel to your bed but what he did was what he wanted to most : he brought his forehead down to yours, as his hands settled on your waist, as you both closed your eyes, breathing in sync.

Both your and Taylor’s fandoms are celebrating the new content they receive. Meanwhile, you were radio silent as you were in the production of your new movie, Lonely People. You only heard about your collabs being publicized when your co-actor congratulate you. 

“Hey, I read the news! Congratulations!” 

You were sitting on a make-up chair when your on-cam fiance, Sebastian Stan, entered the trailer. You cannot turn your head to him as your make-up artist is busy with your face. So you simply look at him through the mirror.

“What? What news?” you asked, sounding a bit concerned. This type of thrill kills you. With how the media works, you can learn various fake and crazy news about you.

“You wrote songs with Taylor! You didn’t tell me you’re a songwriter!” he exclaimed as he sat down next to you.

Your eyebrows raised, “It’s out?!”

“Yeah, here!” he showed you his cellphone screen. 

An hour later, your makeup and hair are both done. You were just waiting for you to be called in your trailer for your scene with Jin. Since this is the first time you wrote anything for and with someone, your heart cannot stop pounding out of your chest. Your palms were sweaty as you try to focus on reading your script while your co-written songs played in your earphones. Instead of internalizing your character, you ended up thinking if the public liked it. Over and over again. You were too deep into thinking that you almost jumped when someone knocked on your door.

Removing your earphones, you said, “It’s not locked. Come in!”

Looking at your opening door, you see your leading man stepping inside. Already in his sophisticated character form, Jin spoke,

“We’re up. Everybody’s waiting outside.”

“Oh, okay.” You gulped, hoping you can just shake this nerve-wracking feeling away.

Jin waits for you as you stood up. You subtly shake your head, internalizing your character and trying to flush out all distracting thoughts you were thinking about. You were about to open the door when Jin gently held your arm.

“Are you okay?” he asked with concern obvious in his tone.

You chuckled nervously, shaking your head again, “Yeah, I’m fine. Just a little nervous, I guess.”

Lines formed between his eyebrows. You were always confident before any of your scenes. You rarely go tense when you were about to act so Jin knows that something more is bothering you. He sees you chew on your lips as you waited for him to say something.

“What happened?” he asked again.

This time, he tried to make you comfortable as his thumb drew circles on your skin. He then reached for both of your hands and he immediately felt how stone-cold it was. You sighed,

“My collab with Taylor is out now.”

Oh, that’s why. Jin nods. He knew about that project of yours for a while now and you’ve been open about how you were so excited about writing with her and finally presenting your other skills to the world. He even heard the final product of the songs from your phone when you shared it with him exclusively months ago. He remembered your proud and excited smile while you watch him listen to it. 

“It will be fine, bub. The songs are all perfect,” he reassures you. “I told you, you did well with that. Everyone is gonna love it since they are going to feel how much love you poured in writing.”

Your tense shoulder slowly relaxed as you tried to control your breathing. You were so out of it that you just felt now that Jin was softly massaging your palm. You sighed again before nodding.

“Thank you.”

You were about to open the door but he stopped you once again, “Wait, come here, bub.”

He pulled you in for an embrace. You smiled and wrapped your arms around him. You loved it. It was the warmest and most comforting hug. The best thing to receive after feeling nervous. Unexpectedly, Jin whispered something familiar that made you laugh.

“You’re doing great, sweetie.”

Taylor Swift shares details about the quadruple song collabs with Y/N: ‘She’s just so perfect.’

Taylor Swift had a lot to say Monday night on Instagram, three days after releasing her new album, Lover, which includes three songs co-written by Y/N.

The multi-awarded artist confirmed that the actress helped in writing four tracks from her recent album: Cornelia Street, Lover, Paper Rings, and Daylight.

In Instagram Live, Swift dished on how she is “such a massive fan of Cornelia Street and Y/N”, the movie Y/N led starred back in 2017 with rumored lover, Jin. The songwriter said that their friendship started after she reached out to the actress after watching the film, showering her with admiration. 

Earlier this year, Y/N was seen going in and out of Swift’s infamous apartment multiple times. And the reason behind it? She was co-writing love songs with her!

“The songs we worked together are all about our own experiences with love and loving someone,” Swift said. “You know, we easily relate to each other since a lot of our past relationships were publicized and criticized by many people.”

“And now, obviously, I am really private about my relationship. I get to really enjoy every emotion I have and received and convert it to this album. That sort of became a love letter to love.”

Just when Swift began talking about the privacy of romantic relationships, the comment section was noticeably flooded with questions about you and Jin. It seemed like the singer noticed it as she chuckles while scrolling down the comments.

But in the best way possible, Swift dodged the questions,  “The fact that I get to write music with her and talk about life experiences is an honor and a privilege. She is so generous and kind. I even met Francheskat! She is so hands-on and organized about everything. She’s just so perfect. I thought I wanted to be her when I grow up,” Swift joked. “Absolutely love her and I really hope you love these songs as much as I do.”

The unwavering support and great reviews for the songs didn’t calm down. It continued for a few more days. One of your co-written songs became a fan favorite. You only posted a story of a selfie with Taylor and tweeted gratitude for her. Your fans mentioned you as they try to know more about what’s behind you writing these love songs.
