notes: this is so short but i wanted to write jotaro bc i love him sm

you sat at the edge of your bed in the morioh grand hotel. your husband, jotaro, had just had a fight against kira, and it didn’t look too good. kira had gotten away and without josukes crazy diamond? well, jotaro might’ve died without him.

you began to hear rustling behind you, jotaro began to groan into his sleep before slowly opening his eyes, taking a few seconds to adjust to the bright suns rays. you turned to look at him. once his eyes caught yours you felt a wave of anger wash over you. how could he have been so stupid?!

“that was stupid.” you spat, he let out a soft sigh before sitting up on the bed, moving the duvet that was positioned around his waist and legs. “(name), i-“ “no!” you cut him off. “you almost died, jotaro! died!” you sat up, the anger inside of you begging your muscles to just move

he only let out another sigh, he had no intention to fight you on this. you were right. you were always right. he had made a mistake and now he had to deal with the consequences. you scoffed at that, he was just taking it. part of you wanted him to fight back, hell- to scream at you. but he didn’t

“…what would i do if you had died?” you spoke up, breaking the few seconds of silence that almost made you want to die they were that excruciating. he looked up to you, his eyes widened for a mere second. you would’ve missed it if you weren’t already looking.

“(name)…” he spoke, you had rendered him speechless. what was he supposed to say to that? he moved the blanket that was around him, moving his legs to the side of the bed and standing up, making his way towards you. he then placed one of his arms around your shoulders, taking you in a warm embrace

“i’m sorry” was all he said, you felt your breath hitch as you fought back the tears that threatened to pour from your eyes. you wrapped your arms around him, the two of you holding onto eachother

Josuke was always popular with the ladies. His usually laid-back demeanor was something many people liked about him.

But he never reciprocated anyone's feelings. None of the people who liked him were the kind he was looking for..

Until he found you.

You became friends with Josuke and Koichi on your first day, having been put in the same class. Coincidentally, you also happened to live next door to Josuke, which allowed the two of you to hang out with each other a lot more often.

At first, all seemed well. It didn't take long, however, for Josuke to catch feelings.

His love for you was something he found frightening, honestly. When he imagined being in love in the past, it felt nice and warm. But this was.. different.

His constant urges to be by your side. To hold you. To protect you. To kiss you.

He wanted you all to himself.

And it was terrifying.

He'd tried to ask for advice from his friends, but he didn't get much that he could use.

"Don't worry so much, Josuke-kun. Just keep being yourself, I'm sure Y/N will appreciate it!"

"Ya like someone? Like, for real? Dude.. uh, I dunno, take 'em out on a date. Get ice cream with them, or somethin'."

So, he had to turn to his last resort.

"Right.. what's this about, Josuke?"

Yukako twirled her long, dark hair between her fingers as she stared at her classmate. Her already sharp features were emphasized by the way she looked at him.

Josuke didn't want to do this. He didn't want to go and ask Yukako, of all people, for advice. But.. she actually had a boyfriend, and it looked as though she understood romance well enough.

And, in the back of his mind, he had to admit that the two of them were now more similar than he initially thought..

Thus, he swallowed his pride, took a deep breath and began.

"Yukako! I really need your help with something!" He clapped his hands together. "You're good with this.. romance thing, right?"

The girl raised an eyebrow at that. "Are you.. asking me for romantic advice?"

"Well.." he let out a sigh and rubbed the back of his neck in a sheepish manner. "Yeah, I am. I just.. there's someone that I like. But these feelings, they just feel so.. overwhelming and strong." He looked up at Yukako, his expression uncharacteristically pleading.

"That's only natural," she told him. "It's just the feeling of true love."

He had to admit, the confidence in her tone did convince him a tad.

"But.. are you sure? I mean-" he ran a hand trough his perfectly combed hair. "I get a little jealous whenever they're talking to anyone else. I know it's wrong, but.. I want them to be with me. Only me." He paused. "Do you have any idea how I could do that? Yknow.. preferably skipping the kidnapping part."

Yukako tapped her finger against the table. She let out a humming sound as she thought about it for a bit.

"You're good friends with this person, aren't you," She told him, more of a statement than a question. "You should start giving some clearer signs. They'll never get the hint if all you do is hang out with them, and make lingering eye contact or whatever."

Yukako had a point, he thought. If he wanted you, he needed to be the one to initiate.

"Right.. thanks, Yukako!" He exclaimed, his expression now back to the same upbeat one he usually had.

Yukako seemed satisfied. Though, before her conversation partner could leave, she grabbed his wrist. "Just remember this, Josuke," she said, "The more they depend on you, the better."

The sun was going down in the horizon. It cast a warm glow on the group of teenagers who walked trough Morioh's streets, in the midst of ending their little weekend hangout.

"...just like I said. Ya can't tell me I was wrong!"

Okuyasu had just finished another rant, which you and the others were obligated to listen to.

"Yeah, Okuyasu, you're so right!" Josuke exclaimed, at which point you weren't sure if he was just saying that to boost his friend, or if he even listened at all.

"Uh-huh," Koichi chimed in. "Anyway.. I'll turn the corner here, guys. See you tomorrow!" He waved at the three of you, pausing for a moment. "Oh, and thank you for the donuts, Y/N!"

"Don't mention it." You smiled at the short boy. "See you tomorrow."

You just barely caught the angry look Josuke had for a split moment.

Once each of you said your goodbyes, you continued on, just the three of you, until you passed by Okuyasu's house, where he left.

Just you and Josuke now.

You and the Josuke who'd been acting different around you all day, who didn't leave your side or let you out of his sight for even a moment, who's gaze seemed to linger on you more than anything else.

You cleared your throat. "Soo.." you tried to start a conversation to fill the silence between the two of you. "How's Tomoko?"

"She's doing fine, don't worry," he replied.

"That's good. Just wanted to make sure, since, you know.. the whole Kira scare."

The boy let out a sigh and his eyes darkened slightly at your mention of Kira. "Yeah..." was all he said in response.

More silence. Only the sound of the breeze and your own footsteps could be heard over the ambience of Morioh.

Then, you felt Josuke's hand grabbing your own. When you looked back at his face, he seemed nonchalant about it. So, you didn't think too much of it.

"You know.." he broke the silence, his voice more serious now. "I was pretty worried about you while Kira was alive and loose. I mean- I know I could heal you with Crazy Diamond, but.." he sighed. "I still couldn't bear to see you get hurt."

He squeezed your hand. Your expression became more gentle upon hearing his words. "Oh, Josuke.." you murmured. "You shouldn't be worried about me. I'll be fine. You're by my side, after all."

He looked at you with a soft smile. "Yeah. By your side, always."

You stopped in your tracks, both of you having arrived to your houses.

"Well.. thanks for today, Josuke." You smiled. "See you tomorrow."

"Mhm." He reluctantly let go of your hand. "I'll be looking forward to it!"

You went your separate ways.

And, despite it seeming odd at first, Josuke's sudden insistance on being close to you didn't seem all that bad.

This is bad.

Josuke tossed and turned that night, but he couldn't fall asleep. He couldn't get you out of his mind.

You occupied all his thoughts, which he both loved and hated.

He loved you.

He couldn't deny anything anymore.

If he didn't confess soon, he would lose his mind.

So, he crawled out of bed as quick as possible, and without making too much noise in order not to wake his mother, snuck out.

It was very convenient for him that you were his neighbour aswell.

He made his way to your bedroom window. Just as he thought, you'd gone to sleep by now.

In the most silent way possible, he opened the window and slipped inside.

There you were, sleeping so peacefully in your bed. Like an angel.

His initial plan was to make this as quick as possible, then leave. But.. he had such a hard time leaving you.

He just stood there, watching over your figure. Getting lost in his imagination. He hoped that one day he could share a bed with you, and hold you all night until both of you were fast asleep.

But he couldn't do any of that yet.

Eventually, he decided that he needed to leave before you woke up. But not without taking something first.

He opened your closet as quietly as possible, and, without putting much thought into his actions, took the nearest piece of clothing.

A hoodie. Your hoodie. With your smell on it.

He let out a content sigh at that. He'd return it, of course.. probably.

Now, only one last thing to do before leaving.

He slipped a note onto your bedside table. Then, with some hesitation, he went back the same way he came.

The morning light of the sun seeped in trough your window. You opened your eyes, begrudgingly getting out of bed and going to make yourself some coffee.

The caffeine certainly helped. And now that you felt more refreshed, you noticed the small piece of paper waiting for you on your bedside table.

You picked it up to see it.

" Meet me at Tonio's at 9. Please don't be late. " - ♡

Part 4 Critique: Everything I'd Change

I love DIU..however, I consider it one of the post flawed of the JJBA Parts. Honestly, I feel like Araki didn't fully know where he was going with it til halfway, which is why the plot can be so janky. No matter what, let's dive into it. First, characters.

(also quick disclaimer: this is all my opinion and i am biased for MANY things.)

Characters [Josuke, Jotaro, Okuyasu, Kira]

Josuke Higashikata

I LOVE Josuke. I think he's a lovely character concept and his design is really cool. My main problem with him is literally his LACK of screen time!! He is the Jojo of this part, yet his spotlight is constantly stolen by other side characters like Koichi, Rohan, and even Jotaro. This also happened a lot in Part 3, with it basically being the Polnareff show (idk why Araki did this sm in pts3-5...either let the mc have screen time or don't have them be the mc!!)

I think Josuke had some of the most missed opportunities in DIU. Especially with his relationships with other characters. I think this part could've been way more interesting if it chose a solid theme, and one that I think would've made sense is commentating on death & tragedy and how that can impact personal relationships. The reason I believe this is because there's already easy set ups for this in the story. Ryohei's death, The Nijimura Brother's family, Reimi, Shigechi, and Jotaro all have that theme in place, but not enough connecting points or real arcs related to this. What was the point of killing off Ryohei (who was the only father figure Josuke had growing up) if you're not going to show how this impacted Josuke, Tomoko, and how he acts with others besides one single page? Sure, it taught him that his powers have limits and that he can't save everyone, but that was a stupid thing to teach him because Okuyasu doesn't fucking die when he should've!! Like why did we make an arc saying 'hey stands aren't magic they can't bring ppl back to life' just for EXACTLY THAT to happen??

Moving on, I also have problems with his stand. I LOVE Crazy Diamond, I think it has a super cool design and power concept, but personally I wish it's powers were more grounded and had clear limits. I feel like a lot of stands suffer from this treatment of vague power limits (ex: Golden Wind..) but my problem with CD is that there were MANY opportunities to add one! For example: we know Josuke couldn't bring back Ryohei even after using his stand on him. So that bears the question: what can CD not fix? What is the real reason it can't bring a dead person back to life? Jotaro says "No stand has the power to bring back the dead" WHY?? am i missing something? Have I forgotten when it was officially established that stands cant do that? I mean, literally in part 3 there was a stand that could reanimate corpses. So does it have to do with the soul? No matter what, I would've used this moment to establish that CD can't bring back ANY living thing. I actually wrote a short fic abt this and included the fact that he also couldn't "fix" a dead leaf. I feel like overall his stand needed more grounding.

Also, I have beef with Josuke's backstory, but I'll get into that later.

Jotaro Kujo

Ok firstly, I have MAJOR beef with his design in part 4. Mainly the fact that he's drawn extremely pale in the anime. Like..obviously he COULD be pale as he is wasian (im not trying to say all wasian ppl look the same), but he is TAN in part 3. Why did they take that away?? Pisses me off to the extreme. At least they fixed it in p5+6. Anyways..

Character wise, I really enjoy Jotaro's personality in p4. I like how he's mellowed out in comparison to p3. However, I feel like he needed a more clear role in the story. He showed up to figure out grandpappy's shit, and then took the leader role when facing Kira. Why don't I like this? Because most of the time Jotaro was just..there. I think Araki wanted him and Josuke to have a mentor/student relationship (ex: rat episode) but just didn't focus enough on them or Josuke training with his stand for this to work.

Also, the fact that it took Jotaro so fucking long to figure out who Kira is WITH the help of all those other stand users is so goofy. Like him and the gang back in '89 found Dio's ass from a goddamn microscopic fly in a photo but couldn't find Kira's identity?? Like ugh he almost redeemed himself with the button thing but then he got blown up like gosh what happened king

When it comes to stands, I forever find it stupid that Jotaro didn't work with his stand to become more powerful. Araki just had to nerf him (which is something he does with most reoccurring characters, ex: Joseph). I don't like it and it pisses me off.

With the death of Ryohei, I feel like it would've made more sense for Jotaro to somewhat open up to Josuke and be a bit more sympathetic towards him about it (or maybe he stays closed off until Josuke explodes, causing Jotaro to reveal the truth about his past.) Either way, I think the two of them could've bonded over shared grief.

Okuyasu Nijimura

I absolutely ADORE Okuyasu. I think his dynamic with Josuke is really fun to watch and his personality is just overall super enjoyable.

Stand wise I do think Araki slightly nerfed him by making him dumb as fucking rocks, but I let this slide a little more just bc he's a side character..

I honestly think Okuyasu has the best character arc out of the whole part 4 cast. I think he definitely deserved more screen time, but what we got was really solid in my opinion. His relationship with his brother was well developed and it was really interesting to see how it still affected him even after his brother's death. The way he felt a need to get revenge for his brother and still felt like he wasn't enough really hit me in the gut. I love him.

When it comes to Okuyasu's "death" I have very mixed opinions. On the one hand, ofc the goat of part 4 survived. On the other hand, I feel like him surviving goes directly against the idea we've been given since the beginning. You can't save everyone. And on the one hand, I enjoy the subverting of expectations. On the other hand, I don't like how it's still just never fully explained. I guess in JJBA as long as your soul doesn't feel like dying yet, you won't. I wish we saw Okuyasu actually speaking to his brother when he "died" however. I find him and Keicho's relationship really gut-punching and that would've been a fire scene imo.

I have more to say on him, his dad, Keicho, and the arrow, but I'll save that for when I'm talking about the plot.

Yoshikage Kira

I find Kira to be a really interesting villain. I really enjoyed every moment we got going deeper into his psychology and it's something I really wish we got to see more of. I enjoy his sleek design and he's fine asf tbh.

Im not gonna give commentary on his stand rn bc honestly i dont fully remember how that shit worked by the time he was using the arrow

Character wise I just really wish he was established as the main villain sooner. The build up and hints dropped about him were so addictive, so it's disappointing that they're only there a little before his full introduction.

The psychology of Kira is something I really liked. The way he truly believes he's never really done anything wrong and only wanting to live a peaceful life is something I wish was even more looked into. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but from my memory, in the manga Kira's whole thing with his nails growing quicker when stressed/when his need to kill is getting too strong was only psychological. At least, I don't remember them growing the same way it's shown in the anime. I think this would've been something really interesting to deep dive into. The fact that he believes his nails grow when his need to kill is really high is really intriguing and the overall connection between hands and his killings are something I wanted to be fully developed more. I know it was kind of just a weird ass fetish but like..that's interesting!! this is interesting!!

I'll probably make an individual post to talk more abt him.

Plot

Where do I even begin. The plot of part 4 is all over the place. I loved many episodes, and I enjoyed when it leaned more into the slice of life style, but why the fuck where there like 3 seperate plots? Honestly, cut out Anjuro. His whole plot shit was annoying as hell. Didn't care for him.

Akira's entire plot pissed me off. I only like this arc because of Okuyasu. Overall I found there to be a lot of plot holes and just annoying parts. Everything til Kira was like this for me. Like get to the REAL plot please.

The arrow annoyed me. I've never wanted to rip my hair out more than when Kira's dad got a hold of it. He was SO GODDAMN ANNOYING. I like the concept of Kira using the arrow to get allies or ways to cover up his plot, but most of the stand users that came out of this were annoying and Kira's dad was insufferable in the worst way possible.

I think something I wish was more covered by the plot is the aftermath of Part 3 and Dio in general. This is something that CDDH (best jojo spinoff) covers really nicely, however. Go read it.

I also just in general think more should've been done w Okuyasu's dad, as he is a direct aftermath of Dio.

I feel like a lot of the women in Part 4 were set up to have strong, actually plot-influencing roles, but then were totally side-lined. I'm going to make a full post abt this tho.

Reimi being connected to Rohan never made sense to me. Just narratively speaking, why did you connect the main motivation for catching Kira to a side antagonist instead of the main character? This is slightly fueled by my hate for Rohan but like, c'mon! I think it would've made more sense to 1. just not include Rohan so fucking much and 2. connect Reimi to Josuke's past.

Speaking of Josuke's past, I feel like it just..needed more. Or at least, I think something needed to be done with the boy who saved him. I can appreciate the idea of it connecting to a theme of the general kindness of strangers, but you don't see that theme pop up as much in the rest of the plot. Also, I again would've connected Reimi to Josuke because WHY ISN’T SHE CONNECTED TO THE MAIN CHARACTER OH MY GOD

Overall tho I like the vibes of part 4, i really enjoyed different arcs and characters, and I just wish Araki got more time to flesh everything out and refocus on certain themes and characters.

Forced Marriage Headcanons

Jotaro:

Honestly it would take some time if I were to be honest.

This man really is more about having you and all so of course marriage will come in mind.

Once you both got back from Egypt, through trial and error during the trip, he learnt that you're important and he needs you.

Since Jotaro is the possessive type, he would constantly be near you after the trip until he can legally claim you.

Sometimes being near you means that you may or may not know of his lurking presence.

When both of you graduated, both of you were elated although not for the same purpose.

You were happy because you were able to sprout your wings and choose where you wanted to go now. However you didn’t know the person you cared about the most was going to be one responsible for clipping them.

The night after graduation when you announced your future plans, that’s when all hell broke loose.

Right there and then were you swept away and forced to follow him to the America’s.

Upon arrival Jotaro made sure that everyone knew you were his no matter what.

What was once l/n was now Kujo.

Before the whole marriage ceremony, Jotaro made sure to mold you into how he thought you should always have been. He made you learn your place which was right by his side.

It was a small gathering due to the fact he didn’t really trust much. Joseph and his mother actually were the ones who attended.

It was one of the rare moments you saw Jotaro smile. Although now thinking about it…it wasn’t a smile, but a small triumphant smirk pulled the side of his lips up making sure you were able to see who you belonged to.

The small sliver of freedom you thought you had, was now taken away from you.

For now you are Y/n Kujo.

Josuke:

It was always coming and you knew it as well.

Josuke isn’t one for concealing his true feelings, especially when he comes to the dear love of his life.

The day when he confessed his feelings to you by cornering you after school, you were shown a Josuke that no one else knew about.

You were practically forced into dating the town's beloved boy with a diamond heart.

The small fantasies he had of you were slowly becoming real. Everything was falling into place and he would be damned if they were ruined.

He is already ready for marriage, but of course he has to abide by the legal law and let you slowly come to your senses about your feelings for him.

High school is just a step to him, a small step he needed to take in order to finally seal the real deal.

Just like Jotaro, when graduation hits he immediately proposes to you.

All of your friends, Josuke’s friends, were watching. All of them gazing at the two of you expectedly waiting for your response.

You said yes out of peer pressure and not wanting to deal with Josuke’s wrath once you stepped into his humble abode or anywhere in that matter of fact.

When you utter that inevitable ‘yes’, that is when you have sealed your fate.

Josuke is quick to take action and starts planning it out, totally with the help of you…

Unlike Jotaro and Giorno, Josuke’s wedding with you is quite large.

He wants everyone there, his friends, mother, Jotaro. It adds into his fantasy of how everything is perfect and that you two are perfect for each other.

Once you’ve taken on the Higashikata name, there is no way back for you as this was your new life.

Giorno:

Either you’ve known him before he became Giorno Giovanna or not, there will always be a way for him to fall in love with you.

With how badly he was treated in his past, he is fascinated and perplexed by your kind nature towards him.

He won’t know how to take it, but once he does it is a spiral from there.

Throughout your time with the Bucciarati gang and overcoming its hardships with defeating the boss, Giorno finally realizes that this attraction became infatuation.

After losing Bucciarati, Abbacchio, and Narancia who had hearts of gold just like you, he knew that your place was by his side being protected by him and his new found power.

Once he was appointed the Don of Passione, he had complete control over everyone…even you.

He would take your hand in marriage regardless of how you felt.

Sure it may not have been ideal when you struggled and rejected him countless times no matter how many flowers and butterflies he sent your way, but you will understand soon.

Standing in the marble hallway under an arch made of various beautiful flowers representing love, any guilt he felt towards taking you against your own will is immediately disregarded.

Seeing you dressed so elegantly and pure makes him freeze in place.

He is blinded by the small frown you have on your face as you make way towards him.

Your head is bowed down not willing to meet his emerald green eyes as they stare at you in adornment.

Giorno’s stomach feels like it almost would concave when the priest announces that you two are finally husband and wife, for life and death.

That night is when he decides to actually seal the real deal by making love to you.

Nothing was more romantic to him than you both finally giving your bodies to each other.

The wall they were now forced against provided the ample stability they needed to be at eye level with the furious man before them. A mischievous grin graced their lips as the arms on either side of their head caged them against the worked up assassin. It was dangerous, they knew that all too well; but being in this line of business, how could they avidly avoid the delectably unstable man before them.

A treat that was practically being waved at them with how utterly chaotic and dangerous the man was in and out of the prison they all resided at. Despite having only just recently being transferred into the Green Dolphin Prison, the underling couldn’t help but feel an odd sense of peace from being moved from Josuke’s faction to the infamous Jolyne’s. They had heard rumors of the instability within the only female Joestar’s ranks, but instead of consistent fighting like they had initially thought; it was more so the mental instability of the top commanding officers within the faction that held the reigns.

How they came to this situation could only be summed up as deliberate irritation and annoyance. Though they knew the man couldn’t completely deny one of the main human necessities, thus they found themselves pressed against the wall after a briefing. Their form being held up with the man’s, better known as Weather Report--- or Weather to all those residing in Green Dolphin--- thigh. Thick and practically trembling with immeasurable strength, they couldn’t help but grind down on the muscle as their grin widened considerably. 

The cheekiness however, was cut short as a large hand clasped around their windpipe. A dangerous squeeze being given as the male leaned forward. His usually calm icy blue eyes now dark with want and a predatory urge to claim the supple morsel before him.

“W-Weather...”

Their voice came out strained, winded as they tried hard to suck air in. Their cheeks flushing as they continued to grind down on the male’s thigh. The heat that had simmered in their abdomen was now beginning to boil up at the male’s lustful stare. A sinister smirk formed on his lips as those hypnotic icy blue eyes bore deeply into their own desperate ones.

“What an absolute whore. Who gave you the right to call me by my name? A mere subordinate like you?”

The tone in his voice was sharp, yet oddly seductive as he leaned forward to nip and tease at the other’s earlobe as he subtly tightened his grip on their throat even more. Immediately, their body seized as heat poured through against their body as dark spots began to cloud their vision. Garbled and whiny desperate whines escaped their lips as their hands tugged and grabbed at the strong meaty collar that was attached to their neck. 

“It’s utterly amusing to me that you have such vulgar tastes. Look at you. I haven’t even begun to tease you and you’re already ready for me to fuck you into oblivion you cum dumpster.”

His words had them spazzing as they desperately continued to grind down on his thigh to relieve themselves before they felt the searing pain in their lungs at the lack of oxygen. Though before they could completely pass out, the sweet release was given as oxygen flooded their system. Body wracking as an indescribable amount of pleasure washed over them before they suddenly were being grabbed at.

Their clothes ripping and tearing at the sheer strength Weather went at them with as the want in both of their eyes deepened. Without a warning, cool air brushed up against their heat as they could feel their previous release drip down their thighs. A wave of embarrassment coming over them as they tried to regain some sort of decency before their lips were captured in a rough and breathtaking kiss. Not even given a second to understand what was happening, their tongue met his aggressive one as they both danced a heated tango.

His hands now resting at their hips before prying their legs apart before his slick erection slipped into them. The feeling making tears of pain slide down as they let out a cry at the blinding pain they felt. A sinister chuckle then filled their ears as Weather snapped his hips up, roughly pressing himself up against the other as he began to gyrate and taunt the other as pain and pleasure mixed together to subdue them.

“Look at you.. absolutely wrecked...and it’s all just for me.” 

If anything, the possessive tone in his voice had them wantonly moaning as another shock of pleasure rippled through their body as their hands found solace against his back. Gripping and desperately tugging at his clothes as he continued to fuck deeply into them as he grunted against the side of their head. The noises bringing another wave of pleasure as they let out another desperate moan. The victory of getting the attractive assassin to fuck them now clearing from their mind as they were being used like his own personal toy. He leaned down, icy blue eyes swirling with a possessive aura as he kissed their lips once more, biting slightly to draw a subtle amount of blood as the yelped in pain.
