watching adaptations of books can be a very tense experience because even if they did it well, they are bound to change things because of the nature of adaptations and you're not always going to agree with what they did. the number of times I've gone "from a storytelling standpoint, I can completely understand why they changed it, I'm just not sure I agree with the changes" is crazy
#lotr#hobbit#ohh hobbit movies#got me into the hobbit and I enjoy the book more now#like. i get *why* they changed stuff.#I totally do get it. and some changes are honestly not bad#but there's also just. so much character lost that they tried to fill up in other ways that it drives me crazy#particularly bilbo because bilbo is blorbo from my adventure#they made him such a wet nervous blanket but this man is insane and I love him for that#they could have made new conflict around that but they didn't for some reason#they decided to make thorin an asshole instead#like don't get me wrong it's not *entirely* bad or anything but I really enjoy that book thorin is obviously very kingly#I honestly understand the addition of Azog the most especially if they *had* to make 3 movies#but bro the spacing of the story between these 3 movies is so bad#okay shutting up now#in lotr it's mostly frodo and boromir's characters I have an issue with so far#will update if more#cap talks

hii!! so your previous crush-post (xD) was so. cute! may I ask for some more romantic fluff and the Fellowship (and Faramir and Arwen, if it's okay?) proposing to the reader?
I added pictures of what the rings might look like because I have a Pinterest addiction and figured I could put it to use
How the fellowship proposes (+ Faramir & Arwen)
Aragorn:
-To be completely honest, I donât see him being particularly traditional about it
-And by that I mean he doesnât make a big thing of it and doesnât do the whole kneeling thing
-I imagine him proposing just happens in a loving conversation that is pretty casual
-But honestly every conversation with him feels kinda intimate so itâs still very romantic
Legolas:
-He is restless
-He plans it to be thought out and to give a little speech
-But it just kinda comes out
-Not in an awkward or rushed way; but he is just so in love he canât wait any longer
Gimli:
-Actually shitting himself
-I really think he would have planned to propose on multiple different occasions but got too scared and chickened out
-Itâs not because he isnât sure about it, or thinks you wonât say yes; he just wants it to be perfect
-He covers for his anxiety with a forced confidence that is frankly adorable
-Blushes profusely
Boromir:
-Very traditional
-Iâm talking secluded paradise with rose petals and candles everywhere
-He spares no expense; no heâs not extraâŚhe just wants to show how much he loves youâŚthatâs it
-Down on one knee giving a honorable and sweet speech about how you are the best thing in his life and how he will spend eternity loving you
-Definitely gets a little emotional but for the most part he keeps it together (the same cannot be said for your wedding)
-He had Faramir help him find a ring because I refuse to believe Boromir knows anything about fashion, let alone jewelry
Frodo:
-Heâs a bit restless, but in a giddy sort of way
-Heâs just so excited about the idea of marrying you that he isnât even thinking too much about the proposal
-He knows you will say yes
-I could also see him putting the ring somewhere you will find it; maybe on your pillow, and hide in the next room all giddy like a little kid as he waits for you to find it
-This is what my dad apparently did and I think itâs cute
Sam:
-Ok I know I said Gimli is shitting himself; but this guy is actually having the squirts
-But heâs nervous because he gets very down on himself at times and he worries you might say no
-Logically he knows you will be so excited because you have talked about marriage before; but he canât help but worry
-Doesnât take you anywhere too fancy; he keeps it kinda casual but romantic
-Maybe in the garden
Merry:
-He has had this planned for months
-He has one of his friends distract you for the day while he sets up a romantic picnic dinner
-Like a surprise party that you are kinda expecting because the person getting you out of the house is kinda sus
-But itâs so sweet and Merry is dresses so nicely
-Seriously a dapper little hobbit
-He has practiced some speeches to Pippin, but he doesnât end up doing any of them
-Instead he opts for just a natural conversation that is sweet and to the point
-Big expensive gem
Pippin:
-He has been pretending to propose for a while
-Well not really pretending, but you know itâs not his official proposal
-That being said every âproposalâ he does comes with some sort of offering; he once did it with your dinner plate
-All his fake proposals were to have some fun with it, but mainly to get over his nerves; heâs practicing
-Will continue to fake propose even after you are married just for the fun of it
-Likes to see peopleâs reactions (plus maybe get a free cake slice at a restaurant or something idk)
-I wanted to add a joke picture of a tiny with three plastic carrots but alas you are only allowed 10 pictures apparently so just imagine I did a funny thing
*Bonus Faramir
-He is just the sweetest and I love this man
-He seems like the type to propose pretty early on in a relationship
-Not because heâs rushing, but he just knows you are the one
-Surprisingly calm about it; or at least he appears that way
*Double bonus Arwen:
-She is probably the most confident of them all
-She is just so sure spoken
-She makes sure you both are dressed in your best clothes and will take you to a beautiful secluded place in Rivendell
-Idk why but I felt strongly that the gem would be blue
-(sorry hers is short, I wasnât particularly inspired idk why)
ââââââââââââââââââââââ-
Just a little reminder that Gandalf isnât included because I donât generally write him for romantic prompts unless specifically asked

I'm thinking about "What if the main character did not have a secret, powerful family background and was just some random person?" AUs for different stories, because I personally find that situation more compelling most of the time and I think it introduces more interesting struggles. While thinking about a bunch of other stories, I ended up thinking about Aragorn in "Lord of the Rings".
Now, Aragorn is a special case because 1) I wouldn't really call him THE main character and the "noble" members of the Fellowship are well-contrasted by the hobbits. The hobbits may be mostly Shire gentry (except for Sam), but on the grand stage of Middle Earth, they're still unimpressive nobodies. Frodo is already our ordinary hero. 2) Aragorn's road to kingship comes with him struggling with his ancestor's failures and accepting the heavy burdens that come with being Isildur's heir. This is specifically an arc of a character struggling with their family history. I am absolutely not saying that Aragorn being royalty makes LOTR a bad story and that it would be better if he was just some random guy. I think this is a well-written character storyline that is a key feature of the overall story.
But I do think it would be really funny to write fanfiction where Aragorn wasn't Arathorn's son. (There is the issue of the heritage that makes Aragorn age slowly, but maybe you could wiggle that so that Aragorn has that kind of heritage from a different source?) Like, the line of Isildur has died out, and let's say that Aragorn's mother takes shelter in Rivendell with her son, and kid Aragorn ends up wandering around to the broken sword and picking up the handle. And either Aragorn's mother lies to Elrond about Aragorn being Arathorn's son or Elrond happens across kid Aragorn with the broken sword and thinks... "Hey, what if we just... lied about it?"
Now, this could end really badly! As I vaguely understand it, the Silmarillion (which I have not read) contains a bunch of examples where lying did not go well, so maybe this lie is how Middle Earth falls into chaos in this AU. Whoops.
But even though this breaks some plotlines, I'm a sucker for adoption storylines. I love adoption being treated as important. It's compelling to imagine Elrond and Aragorn's mother carefully explaining the situation with the sword to him, and then this child just... stubbornly deciding that he's going to become Isildur's heir. Maybe Aragorn's determination falters at some point, he gives up on the idea, and he later has to return to Elrond as an adult and persuade him that no, he means it this time, mankind isn't just about bloodlines, he's going to pick up this burden on behalf of all of humanity. I think that there's something powerful in a person deciding that no, I'm not of Isildur's blood, but I have his same potential for success and for failure, and I'm here. I'm fighting. I picked up the broken sword and that's good enough, isn't it? Who are you to say I'm not his heir? I'm HERE.
I think there's powerful magic in that too. (Also, Arathorn is dead and getting adopted as a father by some random kid. Sure. Okay. I think that's just funny.)
(Also, oh my, there is SO MUCH tragedy if Aragorn being Isildur's heir is a lie and Boromir died believing it. The GUILT. The GUILT that Aragorn would feel when Boromir says, "I would have followed you, my brother, my captain, my king." Like, oh man, now you HAVE TO make it true.)
Now, maybe Aragorn doesn't become King of Gondor in this AU or maybe he does. Maybe Faramir becomes king instead. Maybe it becomes well known by the end of the journey that Aragorn isn't a blood descendant of Isildur and maybe it's a secret known only to the Fellowship. I'd like to think that he still marries Arwen. I like the idea of Arwen happily and knowingly marrying some nobody lying about his heritage and Elrond internally being like, "This is kind of on me."
The most important thing here is that it would be so fucking funny if Aragorn (and Elrond and Gandalf and Galadriel) successfully lied to Sauron the Deceiver. Sauron's like, "Oh? A secret heir come out of hiding to fight against me? Sounds legit." And at some point near the end, just before some hobbits chuck a ring into a volcano behind his back, Sauron is looking at Aragorn like, "Wait a minute, what the fuck, you lying little SHIT."
(Or Sauron finds out via Pippin that Aragorn is lying and feels SO SMUG about how he's going to crush a false king, which just adds to Aragorn's whole "made you look!" distraction keeping Sauron from noticing the hobbits sneaking into Mount Doom.)

Okay this is probably a really stupid and hyper specific request, but I really want to see it.. What about the Fellowship (plus Faramir if you wouldn't mind) with a reader who's really sensitive to the cold? Specifically in their hands too.
I have a weird medical condition called Raynaud's Syndrome where, when I get cold, my hands lose all circulation and essentially risk dying from blood loss (something about the blood vessels constricting in the cold) so I personally have to wear at least 2 pairs of gloves when going out in under 50°F weather. It's annoying as hell, and I just imagine the reader on the quest trying to hide it but someone notices they're wearing like 3 pairs of gloves or how their hands are freakishly ice cold and getting worried.
Sorry if that's too specific, it's just -5°F here so I'm thinking about it. I love your blog, keep up the amazing work and take care of yourself sweetie!
Nah, not stupid at all! Besides I've seen much more specific requests and scenarios đ this honestly has such opportunity to be a cute imagine though I'm vibin with it~ gonna do everyone cuz, well you know đ I use the term frostbite a bit just because they probably wouldnât quite have the same medical understanding/terminology in Middle Earth lol
Cold Hands, Warm Heart
Aragorn
âThere is no shame in it.â Starting, you peer up at Aragorn, probably looking for all the world like a spooked rabbit. âIt is cold,â he agrees simply, nodding down to your hidden hands. âYes,â you reply, wringing them and shuddering, âI suppose you are correct. Call it misfortune, but I am quite prone to its ill effects.â Immediately he reaches for your hand, brows raising at the ice he feels in your veins even through your pair of gloves. Half releasing you and gazing sadly upon your wince at the loss of warmth, Aragorn reaches into his pack and hands you a bundle with a faint sheen. Leather gloves. âThese are much thicker. A bit unwieldy, yes, but I trust we wonât be doing much fighting in the snow. Take them, please, for they see no use with me.â âHow can I thank you?â You smile at him, wonder coloring your eyes. âSimply wear them with joy,â he replies.
Legolas
âDo not worry,â Legolas spoke suddenly at your side, all but startling you save the sheer calm of his presence, âI have something for you if youâd like- a gift of the elves.â Cocking your head, you swiveled to face him, flushing as he stepped close enough for your hips to brush. A part of you wondered if he was doing it on purpose, but knowing him he hadn't even realized...shaking your head, you held out your hands to accept what he offered. It appeared as a kerchief, a small shroud of fabric with a faint, almost silky, sheen. "You may recall our cloaks hide us from hostile eyes? Well, this will keep the cold locked away from you tighter than anything. May I?" Such a gentleman. Smiling, you nod as he folds his gift gently over your hands, almost sobbing at the instantaneous difference. Experimentally you flex your hands, find even the strain of your joints diminished. Without thinking, you lean up and kiss his cheek, pulling away with shock to his smile. "And yet you still have a warmer gift for me."
Boromir
He sees the way you furtively grip your gloved hands, tries not to draw too much attention but gradually moves to walk at your side. âAre you in pain?â He asks with a slight nod to your hands. At that, you sigh and shake your head. âNo, my hands are just quite sensitive. Since I was young I was told my risk of frostbite is great.â Eyes widening, Boromir takes one of your hands; you wince at the motionâs rush of cold only for it to melt into a smile at the way the pad of his thumb brushes over the back of it. âWhy have you never told me?â âBecause,â you shrug, âit sounds like Iâm just complaining. My claim is not believable to most.â âYour words hold true to me,â Boromir replies with a smile, pulling a pair of gloves from his pocket, âhere. You need them more than I do. Really, I insist.â
Gimli
âYou look like youâve seen a ghost!â Chuckling faintly at the dwarfâs words, you finally break from your reverie, realizing you must have been staring oddly in a daze. The cold was getting to you and bad, snow flitting between your heads and caking onto your cloaks. The old, worn gloves you had were hardly helping, and in that moment you feared for loss of your hands to frostbite- perhaps that was the ghost youâd seen. With effort you peel your fingers from their fists and wince. âAh! Cold, are you? Why, Iâve just the thing! We dwarves are quite thick in the hide, often hard to beat by a little snow! But thatâs also because we know a trick or two,â he tells you with a wink, pulling two little sewn objects from his pockets. Resembling small pillows, they fall lightly into your hands. âGive them a shake for a bit, see if you donât feel better! A great chemical trick from the mines, you see.â Frowning faintly, you humor Gimli, shaking his strange gifts in your hand until- warmth! Grinning, you shake more vigorously and sigh in relief at the heat and motion spreading back into your hands, which you throw around his neck. âIâll never doubt you again, Gimli!â âMind telling the elf that?â
Frodo
"Can we keep the fire going?" Frodo. He had made his way to Aragorn's side, and though that was all you heard beneath the wind and your premature mourning of the heat it seemed the hobbit was vying rather well, making a few gestures before the ranger gave him a nod. With a small smile Frodo returned to the log you sat upon, lowering down to take a seat at your side. "I saw how cold you are. Your hands have hardly left this fire. Aragorn agreed we can keep it so long as watch is kept," he told you, nodding down to the kindling saving your hands. "Thank you," you breathed, "I hope he doesn't think me frivolous." "And I hope you don't think me a gossip, for I told him you needed it. I-I just worried for you and could hardly stand to see you get frostbite of our accord." Endearment took over your face as you peered into the hobbit's eyes, saw the reflection of your fire flickering therein. "Oh, Frodo, I could never think that. You are no gossip, but a hero." And with that, you relinquished the fire long enough to put your arms around him, pulling him close and bringing a different kind of warmth.
Sam
âYou look like youâre fit to catch your death of cold.â Turning from your focus upon your hands, you see Sam at your side and smile faintly. âLetâs hope not,â you joke back, âbut Iâll be grateful for the fire once we get it started.â Digging in his pockets, Sam looks down for a moment before producing a scarf. âI figure even if I had gloves they wouldnât fit you, but you could always wrap this around.â âI canât take this,â you shake your head, âafter all, what will you do, then?â âIâll just sit right next to you and thatâll keep me plenty warm,â Sam responds with a sweet smile, "here." Matters settled, he winds his scarf tightly around your hands, keeping them in his for a moment, thinking, then finally pressing a kiss to them before he lets them go.
Merry
"Oh, no, you don't!" "Merry," you giggle, "I need to get my whittling knife from my pack!" "I can get it." Since the day you told Merry you were sensitive to the cold, particularly by the frost that overtakes your hands, the hobbit has quite insisted upon holding them in his at all times. Even if yours are larger, his are quite insistent and, bless him, warm. However, he barely understood that you could hardly walk with both your hands in his all the time, and the others had taken to giving you little smiles and shakes of their head and never calling one name without the other. "You ought to give up," Pippin chuckles your name with a grin, "Merry is quite used to keeping his antics going." "Antics?" Sam shoots back, crossing his arms and shaking his head fondly. "More like excuses. I know a lovestruck fool when I see one."
Pippin
âYou should have told me you were cold!â Guilt flit across your features at Pippinâs words and, of course, his glance to your thrice-gloved hands. âWell, itâs just my hands, you see, I-â âDoesnât matter,â he cut you off with a grin of warm acceptance, âno matter what of you isnât comfortable, you have me to take care of you, alright? Now watch this.â You watched as he placed stones in Samâs once-washed pot. âIâve seen healers do this, usually on someoneâs back but I figure heat is heat, right?â Giggling, you admit that he is right. âWeâll let these go for a bit before you grab them- canât have you getting burned either,â he dotes, shaking his head and peering back from the fire to you with shining eyes.
Faramir
"Faramir, they'll stare," you protested as he began walking you out the door. "And when I tell them this is what the nurses ordered they shall feel quite remorseful," he joked back, continuing on your course. Heat rushed to your cheeks as you went out into the White City with one hand both in Faramir's and in his pocket. The other you kept in your own, supplemented for lack of your beloved's warmth by an extra glove. It was, in fact, not the same. "Besides, there are worse pockets for your hand to be in, no?" That comment was quite worth relieving your left hand of its pocket long enough to give Faramir a light smack on the chest. Opportunity struck, though, and he caught your hand in his free one, pressing his lips to the back of it. "Perhaps I am fonder of winter than I quite realized. Always did we prefer spring's hope of blossom to the dreary chill, but it would seem there are many advantages to take in the cold."
Eomer
âWhy do you hide your hands so?â Direct. Eomer, it seemed, did not find your habit of tucking away from the cold as discreet as you did. You sighed. Fear crept along your spine alongside winterâs chill at the thought of the warrior finding you weak. Would he believe you or disregard your word like so many others? âIâm prone to frostbite, you could say,â you replied quietly, hands clasped. At that, Eomer tilted his head, fixing you as a sight entirely new to his eyes. âLet me see.â Suppressing a wince, you held out your gloved hands and tried to ignore the jolt you felt when he held them, thumbs running over the backs. Frowning, he spoke again. âThis will not do.â That time, you winced, trying to pull your hands away, but his grip tightened as he continued. âThe Riders have far thicker gloves. Let me fetch you a pair. Your hands are far too capable to lose, after all.â Winking, he made his way toward the armory with a smile matching the faint creep of yours upon your lips.
Haldir
"Is this why they were so reluctant to send you? I must apologize, I fought so hard on your behalf because I thought they doubted you, not this." You shake your head, eyes almost tearing up at the hurt on Haldir's face. "You could not have known. I...try not to tell anyone. They seldom believe me," you confessed, hands wringing nervously. The mission was outside of LothlĂłrien, away higher into the mountains where the chill could affect you. Of greatest concern to you, though, was how Haldir would react to a perceived weakness. His grace had you taken aback, though, as he held your hands, never pushed you, ensured you felt able to fight before sending you into the fray. Even when you stayed behind from danger you couldn't help but smile as his words. "This will never happen again. All I want is to keep you safe."
Eowyn
âThis is beautiful, thank you,â you breathe, pulling a short length of luxurious fur from the box with wide eyes. This could not have been an easily attained gift. âYou like it?â Eowyn smiles, enraptured at your joy and the way you eagerly nod. âDo you know what it is?â Grin fading a bit, you shake your head, regretting your ignorance especially if it is to come off as ingratitude. It does not, though, or such only fuels Eowynâs glow further as she extends a hand over it. âA muff! See here!â Plucking it from your hands, she slides her own inside the fur, revealing its tube shape. Alight, you immediately stick your own hands in there, sheepish at the way Eowyn starts at the cold of them before holding them together beneath the warm, fluffy layers. âThis is perfect,â you thank her, your head falling to her shoulder.
Arwen
"Your hands are cold!" "I-I'm sorry," you pull from her grasp sheepishly. "Do not be," she smiles and shakes her head, "It simply came as a surprise. Mine are often the same. Rarely do I feel it so." "Prone to frostbite as I am," you remarked, "my hands are likely colder than any you have felt before." "Meleth nĂn," Arwen's brow creased, "why have you never spoken of this before? Perhaps we should try something." Your own brow creased with a faint frown as the elf took you by the hand, off to one of the many rooms baths were drawn in. "Oh, yes," you replied, "hot water does help." "I am sure it does, but would you be willing to try something new?" Swallowing a spike of anxiety, you peered into Arwen's blue eyes and nodded, giving in fully to your trust of her. You could tell she wanted to keep what she was doing a surprise, standing completely over the small basin as she was, but soon she was taking your hands again, dipping them several times into thick, heavenly warmth. "And now," she told you with a grin, wrapping your hands in small covers, then heated towels, "we wait." Every muscle in your body relaxed as the sensation crept through your veins, up through your loosening hands and shivering deliciously down your spine. "What is this?" You asked, almost adding magic to the end of your question but feeling a bit too foolish. "Wax of all things," Arwen giggled, "and judging by your expression, it is helping."
Elrond
"Let me feel them." Elrond's voice is commanding, but not at all harsh, as he holds out his palms and accepts your hands. Immediately his thumbs curl over them and a light frown creases his forehead. He nods. "They are quite cold." At that, it is your turn to nod as if to say I told you so. "The storm is to last for several more days. Come with me. Please." The last word upon Elrond's lips is one of the softest you've heard, drawing you up from your seat and after him without a single thought. You follow the flow of Elrond's robes down a corridor and into another room, this one with a crackling fireplace and the softest-looking bed you've ever seen. "What is this," you cannot help joking, "my winter prison?" Before you hear the lord of Rivendell, you feel him, his form drawing nearer until his chest rests against your back. "I prefer to think of it as our getaway," he replies in a low voice, hands falling upon your shoulders.
Lindir
Lindirâs face fell at the frustration upon yours, the way your hands shakily dropped from his harp. He was to teach you as youâd wished, but your hands were not cooperating with you. âYou seem a bit stiff. May I?â Confused more than anything, you look up at him and nod. Reaching over, he takes one hand in each of his, brows shooting up the moment you touch. âWell, no small wonder! Your hands are like ice.â âI know,â you agree, gaze falling from Lindirâs dark eyes, âthey get like this with every chill of winter.â You see the way Lindir straightens, the surprise crossing his face and creasing his forehead. âThen let us move inside,â he replies, massaging your hands gently in his, âand I will hear no more talk of lessons until weâve drawn you some warm water.â

Why The Bad Batch Season 3 Was Bad
Now hear me out! I enjoyed it, for the most part. And I know many fans did enjoy love it. But objectively speaking, the show had a rough Seasons 1-2 while it tried to find it's footing, and then a horrible Season 3 due to bad writing. I could never really find the words to explain how I felt but recently I discovered an actual writing technique that was not implemented, which is the core of my problem. So let's talk about that!
The technique in question is setup/payoff. Ideally, everything in your story should have some sort of payoff. Think Boromir being tempted by the ring, and then later betraying the Fellowship. Or the dwarves and elves hating each other but later on Legolas and Gimli referring to each other as friends. The setup can be truly anything, and the payoff also can be. They don't need to be these massive moments that feel epic. But ideally, every notable moment and every lore drop should be building towards something.
While nothing has to build towards something, Tech's death should have. His death was a consequence to the Bad Batch's actions, however it wasn't properly built up or hinted at. The mission was treated the same as any other mission. There was no setup for Tech's death. You could replace his death with literally anyone else in the crew and the impact would have been exactly the same. So if Tech's death wasn't paying anything off, then it should be setup for something later down the line. It's a major event, it needed to be.
Fast forward to Season 3 and we have this assassin pursuing the Bad Batch. This assassin demonstrates Tech's abilities, as well as Crosshair's. Theories buzzed around the internet that this assassin was, in fact, Tech. This would have been awesome payoff. But instead the assassin was a faceless individual. I understand where the show was coming from: "This is what the Empire wanted to turn Task Force 99 into." But that's not satisfying. There was no buildup towards the Empire removing the identity of the clones, not truly. We could have seen that through Crosshair, but all we saw was the Empire trying to control Crosshair, not erase who he was. If we in contrast did have Tech return as the assassin, that would have been different. There would have been setup for that, and then slow buildup, and then finally, the reveal.
And this leads to a major thing that I'm going to talk about that Star Wars...has a history of ignoring. It's okay for the audience to be right. They knew we were saying "Tech could still be alive!" They knew we were going to theorize about the assassin the moment we saw him. I suspect that the whole Faceless Assassins twist was implemented to try to surprise us. It sucked. It had no setup. It wasn't paying anything off. It landed as flat as Tech's death. Yes if the main assassin was actually Tech, we would have guessed it and not been surprised, and granted that would have been a slightly cheesy part of the story, but we would have been excited. It would have been proper payoff to Tech's supposed death.
So TL;DR, The Bad Batch Season 3 sucked because it abandoned a writing principle in order to attempt to shock us, and instead left a major Season 2 event and the entirety of Season 3 dangling with emptiness.
To all you writers or aspiring writers out there, don't follow that path. Even if it means the readers are right, stick to your story and don't abandon writing techniques. There is so much power in writing a story that is purely yours, and no one else's.
Until next time

Okay, fun question time. One of the various multimedia elements of the LotR Road Trip AU story is that I am planning on making playlists for each member of the Fellowship, the idea being that they're supposed to be snapshots into everyone's music libraries for when they have the aux cord in the car.
My music taste is pretty all over the place, which helps with a project like this, but I can't claim it's as broad as I would like when trying to represent the music tastes of nine different people. So I would love to solicit some ideas from people--genres, artists, even specific songs. You name it.
Here's generally the vibes I've been curating so far, though I'm not entirely married to all of them:
Frodo -- Indie, acoustic, folk? Probably some instrumentals. Chill beats to carry a cursed artifact to.
Sam -- Generally pretty upbeat. For sure some really traditional folk influences but also like. Folk rock. Should be an extremely feel-good playlist.
Merry -- Nerd music, to put it simply. Folk and filk, as well as some of the found-filk folks out there like Hank Green, probably.
Pippin -- Pop music! He's here to have a good time. Would especially love some input from the Gen Z crowd here since my pop knowledge is a little dated for the youngest member of the Fellowship. What Chappell Roan song would be his favorite.
Boromir -- He is puzzling me. I am keeping in mind that he should have some like. Elder millennial vibes. Currently have Green Day, etc on there but I'm trying to decide if that works.
Aragorn -- Dad rock, plus some modern rock. Think about your dad's road trip playlist (I know mine has several) and you're getting the right picture.
Legolas -- Pop and some indie/acoustic songs. Also a little musical theater. I'll be honest I'm making his eclectic on purpose. Definitely a little cheesy, aro/ace jams encouraged.
Gimli -- Metal, industrial, classical. There is no bigger Trans-Siberian Orchestra fan. Possibly also some labor songs, though I'm thinking more like metal/rock covers.
Gandalf -- Prog rock and other wizard music. I am doing something very dumb and silly and putting classic rock songs with meta references to LotR on his (ex: Led Zeppelin's Misty Mountain Hop), but other suggestions are good too.
Please feel free to totally contradict some of these vibes though. Ideally some of these playlists with be a little more all over the place than I would usually lean towards, since the idea is to represent someone's music taste, not make a true character playlist.
So! Help me out here. What do you all think each Fellowship member would listen to?

well loved
preference summary: what they do to remind you you're loved.
content warnings: none
fandom: the lord of the rings
characters: frodo, sam, pippin, merry, boromir, faramir, aragorn, legolas, arwen, eowyn, eomer, galadriel, elrond (if other characters are wanted for future preferences, let me know!)
gender neutral reader
Frodo: He always checks in on you, always wanting to make sure you were doing okay. He's one of those who is more in tune with emotions, and wanting to check in on emotional wellbeing. He wants you to know you'll always have someone to lean on, and he shows you love through his active listening of your problems.
Sam: He's the type to do small tasks around the house for you, wanting to make sure you don't have to worry about anything. He sets up a routine that's nice and homey. He wouldn't have you lifting a finger if he could, wanting to make sure you can be relaxed. You would have to step in at some points, saying you'd want to split the work.
Pippin: He makes you very well included on any inside jokes, wanting to you to know what it's like. He showed his love through humorous jokes, saying he always wanted to see your smile. His love may have been shown through jokes, but he made you feel truly seen, which was a wonderful way to be reminded you're loved by him.
Merry: He loves to give you parts of his food, wanting to make sure you were well fed. He feels wellbeing is tied to being well fed, so he wants to make sure you get a fair share. And I think that Merry himself likes to try cooking once in a while, and likes to give some cooking to you.
Boromir: He always carves out time in his schedule to spend quality time with you. He always loves to have meals together with you, wanting to make it romantic, with something as simple as bringing flowers for the vase in the middle. He shows his love through any amount of time spent with you, wanting to shower you with his compliments.
Faramir: He has subconscious movements to make sure you're okay and safe. Such as holding out a hand during hikes in an area that's heavily rooted, wanting to make sure of your safety to help you balance and find your way. He also loves to place a hand on your back in crowded areas. He always has a special look of love, reserved just for you.
Aragorn: He always likes to recite poetry or songs he comes across that reminds him of you. He always gives you the softest of looks during those moments, and these moments are usually done by the fires in your room. He usually has your back against him, as he whispers them into your ear.
Legolas: He finds a variety of plants that reminds him of you, always bringing them back for you to look at or put somewhere that you deem cool. It's gotten to the point where there's almost too many flowers in your living space, but you also don't have the heart to tell him to stop. It's really sweet to see the variety of flowers he hand picked for you.
Arwen: She loves to sneak kisses from you throughout the day. She's playful, so her showing her love is through playful ways. She loves to take you off guard of when she'll kiss you, and she always loves hearing your laugh afterwards. She loves to watch you get flustered, laughing as she rushes away.
Eowyn: She loves quality time to, wanting to spend time with you. Her favorite ways to showing you love is teaching you some of her favorite moves in training. She shows you what she has learned, and also wants to learn what you know. She wants to make sure the both of you are prepared for anything, and it's a nice way to spend time with each other.
Eomer: He loves to go horseback riding with you. It provides a time where the two of you can talk in peace, where he doesn't feel the pressure of the kingdom. He loves talking with you here, where the two of you don't feel watched. It's a sense of freedom to speak your minds, but the act of horseback riding allows you to go anywhere. He loves to explore with you that way.
Galadriel: She loves turning to you for advice. She may not always agree, but she loves to hear what you have to say. She finds that hearing a variety of perspectives helps her, and she feels that it helps her get closer to you. She always likes to hear what you have to say about some decisions in how she runs her kingdom.
Elrond: He likes to spoil you, simple as that. It doesn't even have to be buying you many things, although he loves doing that as well. It can be just as well showering you with praise, or giving you his full attention, even if it means ignoring his work for a little bit. He loves at his fullest, spoiling you with many things you love.

Hi! Boromir for the mystical magical saturday event pls! â¤ď¸
Hi! Thank you so much! Hurt my own feelings with this one, so sorry in advance.
The Prompt: Placing a Kiss on Someoneâs Fingertips
You sat alone in the silence, your fingers twisting together as every horrible thought swirled through your mind. The plushness of the mattress and the softness of the blankets did nothing to bring you comfort. You didnât want to be like this, you really didnât, but you couldnât help it. When Boromir told you of his fatherâs will for him to travel to Rivendell you wanted to be okay. You wanted to wish him well on his journey and let him go with a smile, patiently awaiting his return to you. Because he was Boromir and Boromir always came back to you. No matter what danger he walked into, he always walked out. And yes, Rivendell was far, but it was in the opposite direction of danger. He would probably be safer on his journey than you would be staying in Minas Tirith. Yet, you couldnât shake the bad feeling from your chest. You started picking at the skiing around your fingernails, small stinging pains spreading through your fingertips.
âMy love.â Large hands enclosed your own, stopping the pain almost immediately, and you looked up to see your husband kneeling before you. He gave your hands a gentle squeeze, âAre you alright?â You slowly nodded as you let your eyes wander away from his frame. Your nodding turned into a head shake as you felt a sob bubbling up in your chest. You pushed it down, your gaze moving to meet Boromirâs once again. He stared at you, waiting, as his thumbs moved gently over your fingers.
âI want to ask you to stay, but I know that I cannot.â Boromirâs eyes softened and you closed your own, unable to stand him looking at you. You felt the pressure of his hands lessen as he moved to hold them up to his lips. His thumb pressed lightly to your palm, Boromir pressed his lips to your fingertips. Your eyes flew open, meeting his at once.
Boromir pulled back only slightly, âI will come back to you.â Pulling your hands from his grip, you placed them on his cheeks, his stubble rough on your fingertips. He leaned into your touch, his eyes never leaving yours.
You shook your head, âBoromirâŚâ
He gripped your wrists gently, âHave I not always returned to you?â You nodded as you let him move your hands away from his cheeks. He placed a kiss on your palm, âThen believe me when I say that I will return to you.â He pressed another kiss to your fingertips, âI promise.â

the fellowship meeting their partnerâs family
a/n: this brilliant idea was requested by @starlady66! I hope I did okay, let me know how it was đ and yes, of course I am including Faramir too. if you liked this fic, consider reblogging it so more people can potentially see it and enjoy đ it gives me motivation to write more!
ARAGORN:
is a little quiet at first, but not awkwardly quiet
remembers what you had told him about your family and then brings it up in conversation with the
very very respectful
offers to help with anything and everything, from cooking to cleaning or fixing something
your family thought he was initially just a little odd, but they warmed up to him very quickly
heâs invited to every family gathering right away, you insist that he doesnât have to come if itâs too much, but he really wants to
đ
BOROMIR:
brings them flowers and a fancy drink at least
wants to bring even more gifts but you reassure him heâs already doing enough
heâs an absolute favorite among your younger siblings/cousins, they donât want to let him go
and it warms your heart so much
he praises you in front of the family and makes you blush
they all liked him immediately and he was super charming and easygoing, you were the more nervous one
đ
FARAMIR:
not gonna lie, he IS stressed out, but you reassure him heâs perfect and has nothing to worry about
literally practices how heâll introduce himself and all that
he manages to accidentally fumble something, but itâs a perfect ice-breaker because everybody is laughing
they love him instantly, even if heâs initially a bit quiet and awkward
he was going to bring them some little present, but he forgot
eventually gets so carried away talking and having some deep discussion that you almost fall asleep by his side
đ
FRODO:
simultaneously heâs a nervous wreck, but also knows that he generally makes a good impression on people
runs his hand through his hair a million times to make it look neater
offers to help with the food even though itâs not his strongest suit
asks a lot of questions after he gets comfortable, and listens with interest
accidentally takes a short nap after the meal and is SUPER embarrassed
but nobody takes it the wrong way, it just becomes an inside joke that runs forever
đ
GIMLI:
lots of gifts for everyone. EVERYONE.
you think itâs too much but he just really wants to make a great impression
youâre important to him, so, your family is too
they bonded so quickly that they almost forgot that you were also there (oops lmao)
lots of laughing, and they would be asking him to retell some fun adventures you had together
he compliments the food a lot and eventually theyâd pack him some leftovers
đ
LEGOLAS:
you know the charming, charismatic elf that he is? well, you can forget about that, it seems
he feels extremely awkward, no idea why
regardless, your family likes him immediately, even if they do consider him a bit strange
you try to carry the conversation most of the time and heâs very grateful for it
eventually when he gets over himself, he will be very communicative and pleasant
your family asks him a bunch of questions; theyâve never had a guest like that before!
đ
MERRY:
charming and witty as ever, also brings flowers
fits in right away, as if heâs always been a part of the family
they all think heâs hilarious and canât get enough of his stories
he wants to hear the stories about you when you were a small child (and will use the new information to poke fun at you for eternity)
compliments everyone and everything, loves all the food
also invited to all the family gatherings and events henceforth
đ
PIPPIN:
is nervous, but hides it decently well, or eases it through humor
really wanted to bring a little gift, but forgot
accidentally knocks something over or trips or something like that, but you all just have a laugh about it (he blushes)
he likes to talk about how great you are, so he will definitely comment on that in front of your family too
okay, maybe they did think he was a little too chaotic or immature, but he has a heart of gold and they know it!
you will overhear them commenting on the way he looks at you and how good he treats you
đ
SAM:
brings a half of his garden as a present: flowers, vegetables, you name it
maybe even he cooks/bakes something and then brings it over, then blushes at the compliments
they all love him immediately (who doesnât!)
loves to listen to your familyâs stories about you
offers to help with washing up
a younger sibling/relative of yours asks him something like âwhen are you going to marry [Y/N]?â
đ

LOTR Themed Tag Game
I was tagged by @softboiledwonderland - Reblog with your own answers and tag three or more people you want to get to know better!
- How old were you when you were first introduced to LOTR? I think I was around 12. I have two distinct memories from that time; seeing Gandalf on a cereal box whilst I ate my breakfast and being very confused by Gandalf the Grey/Gandalf the White (wondering whether or not they were the same person, or if they were twins LOL), and borrowing my cousin's extended edition DVDs to watch (we borrowed a lot of stuff from him including his PS2 with Final Fantasy X).
- Favourite LOTR character? Aragorn hands down because he's a filthy ranger and I love that I feel he's a well-rounded character in the movies. I see him as a bit of an adventurer, a do-gooder and not afraid of a fight, but also someone who has his own flaws and struggles. He's certainly interesting to write about and explore as a character.
- Books or Movies? Movies 100%. I'm trying to read the books.. honest..
- Which location in Middle Earth would you want to visit? I think Rivendell would be my top choice, but honestly any location would be amazing. I would love to see Rivendell for its architecture, its open and breezy spaces, it just oozes relaxation and a place to get away from it all. And maybe I'd run into Aragorn there HA đ
- Favourite Movie? The Two Towers! Because FOTR sets the scene, ROTK wraps up the story, but TTT is where some shit starts to go downnn.
- Favourite scene? I love the fellowship fighting off the orcs in Khazad-dĂťm; the anticipation of the orcs breaking through the door and Legolas/Aragorn being cool enough to shoot arrows through tiny cracks, Boromir being sassy ("They have a Cave Trollđđđ"), Sam fighting orcs with literal frying pans, Aragorn and Boromir giving each other The Nodâ˘, the teamwork to bring down that cave troll, running like hell afterwards... I just love everything about that scene in the movies 𤊠Everything up to Gandalf's fall of course...
- Favourite quote? "All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us" - it's like a hug that reaches out to you, telling you that you'll be okay đĽ°
- What Middle Earth race would you like to be? Probably an elf! I'm 5ft7, a natural redhead, and would love to let time slip pass without worrying about things not getting done because I have literally fucking centuries to live haha.
- Favourite LOTR ship: Similar to @softboiledwonderland I don't really have one?? I'm just an appreciator of blorbos đ
Tagging @emmanuellececchi @sonofarathorns @fishing4stars @nocompromise-noregrets - if you guys fancy taking part feel free, if you're busy or don't want to then no worries! If anyone else sees this post and wants to participate, consider yourself tagged!! đ

i finished reading the fellowship of the ring for the first time!!!
⢠one lasting impression i have is that i love boromir so much. when it started snowing on the mountain, he was so concerned for the halflings, it was so sweet. there were many instances like that where both he and aragorn fiercely defended the hobbits, or carried them, and i may pass away if i think about it too much.
⢠b-bill⌠𼺠i was genuinely so sad for sam to have to send his beloved pony away to certain danger. if i didnât already know from tumblr tolkien lore that bill lives, i would be really sad right now.
⢠damn, the movies really did gimli dirty, didnât they? (donât get me wrong, i love the movies and i have little to no problems with them) but literally no one wanted to go to moria because they knew how dangerous it was going to be. in the movies, it was like gimli was trying to convince the company to go that way. just a difference i noticed!
⢠i just put the book down, just now, to come type this bullet point because i needed a breather. i am currently, right now, on the edge of my fucking seat!!! (im laying in bed but you know what i mean)
my heart is beating out of my chest! like, i know whatâs gonna happen, but theyâre sooo close đŤ imagine never having read the books, and the first movie comes out, and you donât know that gandalf comes back. that would be so insane/devastating.
⢠lmfao because of that one post on tumblr âwhen watching fotr with your friends and the balrog shows up you can tell them, this is where legolas starts screaming in the bookâ but friends. heâs not screaming. heâs wailing it (honestly valid, i would react the exact same way but for a minute just picture movie legolas wailing upon the arrival of the balrog and tell me thatâs not funny).
⢠i like that we get more detail and interaction with the elves in lorien. book galadriel comes across softer, friendlier, less scary (maybe thatâs just because movie galadriel scared me with that one scene when i was younger).
⢠i kept waiting for boromir to die, and i was like, heâs (tolkien is) running out of time here! how can we get to that part AND adequately say goodbye to him?
when i had like 5 pages left i was like yeah thereâs no way. i went to my husband all stressed about it and he told me it doesnât happen until the second book! i was like ohhhhh, okay.
⢠i canât wait to start the two towers! of the movies, itâs my favorite and iâm interested to see how that differs.

Look what I got in the mail today!
As I love your Boromir art and everything else I have seen that you create, I am really excited what your novel is like. I kind of stumbled over it and I feel very starstruck to be able to message you. Unfortunately it will take a few days until I am able to start it but I canât wait!
So Greetings from your book and my balcony! I hope you have a wonderful day đ¤
aaAAA okay first of all: that's a lovely photo, well done with the aesthetics and second THANK YOU! I hope you enjoy it or at least don't hate it, but if you do, that's okay too. Obviously there is no Boromir in it but there is a big round shield on the cover which features heavily in the plot.

MASTERLIST | AO3 | WATTPAD
The Innocence of Brutality Masterlist
Only a couple days later, the fellowship approached a small town. It was small enough not to be very noticeable, yet large enough to have a marketplace to purchase some clothing for (Y/N) along with other supplies that they may need.
Aragorn nodded to Legolas. âCheck her wing. See if it is healed.â
The elf turned to (Y/N), his eyes asking for permission.Â
She dipped her head ever so slightly, granting it.
He took to unbinding it and, as the fabric fell away, his lips parted. The wound was basically gone. It was still noticeable that there had been an injury, but it was mostly healed and feathers were beginning to grow back over the thin fleshy material.
â(Y/N), how do you feel? Does it hurt?â
She frowned, snapping them open. She then flapped them slightly, sending a large gust of wind at her friends who wobbled at the pressure. âNo pain. They feelâŚbetter.â
âCan they retract?â Aragorn asked.
(Y/N) nodded as she lowered them again. Slowly, they began to fold in on themselvesâŚuntil there was nothing.
With parted lips, Legolas walked around her form. His eyes fell upon her exposed back andâŚ.nothing. No scar. No mark. Just skin.Â
She looked humanâish. She still had that distinct âsomething different lookâ but only ever so slightly. One wouldn't be able to pick up on it. At least none of the humans or simpler-minded creatures.Â
âOkay,â Aragorn stated, appeased. â(Y/N) and I will go with the hobbits. Boromir will go with Gandalf. And Legolas and Gimli, you go alone. Most will see either of you as a messenger of your people stopping for the night. Boromir will seemingly be assisting an old man with his travels. And (Y/N) and I will be seen as a family with the little ones.â
At this, Legolas clenched his jaw. He didnât know why, but heat brewed in his chest.Â
âWe will all stay in the same inn, but donât make obvious contact with one another. Is everyone sure of the plan?â
Nods followed.
âGood.â
The smaller groups took turns entering the village, (Y/N), Aragorn, and the hobbits first.
They muddled by the market first, purchasing clothing and other essentials, before heading towards the inn. As they walked the streets, they passed all sorts of peopleâsome chasing their children, and others trying to sell goods or services. One of these, services, caught (Y/N)âs attention.
A woman sat upon a manâs lap, her lips smashed against his. As their mouths moved in sync, the manâs arms wound their way across their hips. Aragorn knew that soon enough they would make their way into an ally or room for rent and do what they pleased. Of course, the others were not aware of such a lifestyle.
âWhatâwhat are they doing?â (Y/N) asked.
Pippin, rocking back on his heels, replied in a playful tone. âKissing!â
The winged warrior frowned. âWhat is thisâŚkissing?â
âItâs what people do when they love each other!â Sam replied.
âLove?â (Y/N) questioned.
âYou know,â he began. âWhen you really like someone. When you really care bout âem.â
âI care about you.â
âWell of course you do.â Frodo said gently. âBut love is different. Itâs very special.â
Merry decided to interject at this point. âItâs like when you wanna be with them all the time!â
âYou want to be with Pippin all the time,â (Y/N) said.
âWell, heâs my best friend! Itâs different!â Merry defended.
Surprisingly, it was Aragorn who settled this debate. âAll of those things are love, just different kinds. Romantic love is what you are asking about.â He ushered them along, still speaking in a quiet tone. âRomantic love is when your soul is bonded with anotherâs forever. It is when you would do anything for them. It is when you feel most cherished, most cared for, and most safe.â His hand drifted to the necklace that hung around his neck. âIt is when you would want nothing but the best for that person, even if it breaks your heart.â He cleared his throat. âNow come along. We need to get to the inn.â
(Y/N) frowned, but followed along, her eyes lingering upon the couple.
They got a room, one as large as they could, and cleaned up, before making their way down to the bar for a meal and drink. (Y/N) sat, in her new clothes, at a nook table with the hobbits and Aragorn. It was then when Gandalf and Boromir walked in. They exchanged a quick subtle nod before drifting to a table nearby. Gimli entered about a half hour laterâloud and complaining for some ale and mead. And Legolas soon followed.Â
However, when the elf entered and scanned the room, his eyes froze on the RĂĄmaite Mahtar. Her hair, clean and sparkling, framed her face nicely. Dark trousers wrapped around her waist and her feet were now clad by brown leather boots. A green tunic was covered by a simple leather armor, one that the Rangers often wore, and a matching cloak was tied under her neck. She looked put togetherâŚless homely and rugged. She looked normalâŚalmost. Regardless, she was blending into their cover story quite well. She was smiling, talking, and eating with the hobbits. Aragornâs arm was wrapped around her too as he held an ale. They looked sorta like a family traveling through the area. Legolas hated it.
(Y/N) caught a glimpse of the elf from the corner of her eye and flashed him a smile.Â
He sent her a small one in return, trying to mask the jealousy boiling in his blood.Â
With that, he disappeared into the bar.
As the night continued on, each small group began to subtle make their way into their rooms upstairs.Â
Currently, Legolas sat upon the mattress in his small room. His dirty clothes were discarded and he wore only a clean pair of rousers. He was writing in a little book, a journal, that he was keeping throughout the journey. If he didnât survive this, he wanted his father to find it. He wanted his father to know why he undertook such a journey. He hoped it would provide at least some comfort for the man.
It was then that a knock sounded upon his door.Â
âCome in,â he called, for he knew it could only be a member of the fellowship. No other here would disturb an elf. His people had a reputation that led others to stay away.
A loud creaking sounded as the door slowly swung open.
â(Y/N)?â Legolas said, surprised.
She entered and closed the door behind her.
âI have your clothes,â she said simply, before placing a rumbled-up pile of green on the small table next to the bed.Â
He smiled. âThank you for returning them. I see the new ones Aragorn got you fit quite well.â
âYes.â She walked towards him, standing right in front of him. âWhat are you doing?â
âJournaling,â he said. âI am writing of our adventureâtaking notes, sketches. I want to keep a record of it, just in case.â
She frowned, peering at the book. âJust in case what?â
He looked up at her, sorrow in his blue eyes. âJust in case I die.â He cleared his throat, looking back down at the pages. âI want my father to have it. As an explanation. I assume by now he knows I have taken upon this quest.â
âI don't want you to die,â (Y/N) responded with a bit of a waver in her voice.Â
Legolas sighed. âI donât want you to die eitherâany of you.â
Surprising the elf, (Y/N) reached forward. She pulled the notebook from his hands as well as the ink and feather. She placed them carefully on the bedside table before returning in front of Legolas.Â
â(Y/N),â Legolas began, confused. The sentence that was to follow, however, didnât.
His voice faltered into nothingness as (Y/N) lifted one leg at a time to sit on his lap. As she settled upon him, she brought her hands to his cheeks.
â(Y/N),â he began again. Still, his words could not form past her name.
She leaned forward, her eyes fluttering closed, and pressed her lips to his. At first, he didnât respond, shock filtering through his bones, but his body soon responded. His mouth began moving in pattern with hers and his arms encased her form. Her lips tasted of lavender and light, hints of ale filtering through that. She tasted different. She tasted ethereal. He liked it. He pulled her body close as they shared one breath. He let her fingers weave into his blond locks, entangling themselves deep into it, and he didnât stop her when her hands ever so slightly brushed his elvish ears. He did, however, have to resist the sexual urge that came from such a touch. It was a slow kiss, one of hesitation and unsureness, but not unwanted.Â
When the pair pulled away, Legolas looked up at her face. His next sentence was not that of accusation, but rather of question. âWhy did you do that?â
She bit her lip. âSam said that is what you do when you care about someone. Itâs called kissing.â
âI know what it is called.â He chuckled lightly. âSo did you kiss the hobbits too?â
She shook her head. âIt is only for when you really care about someone.âÂ
He raised a brow, his arm wrapping tighter around her back. âIs that so?â
She nodded, not picking up on his teasing manner. âYes. They said it is when you love someone.â
His second eyebrow lifted upwards to meet his first. âDo you even know what love is?â
(Y/N)âs expression turned to that of determination and seriousness as she spoke her next words. âI will kill for you.â
â(Y/N), you are a race that brings death. Killing for someone isn't loveââ
She shook her head. âNo. You donât understand. IâI donât like warâŚnot really. I donât like that people hurt. I donât like where I went afterâŚafter the first time I was here. Withâwith a man named Morgoth.â Her voice turned into a whisper. âHeâhe tortured me. I bled because of him.â (Y/N) blinked a couple of times, trying to hold back tears. It didnât work. âBut I would do it againâŚfor you. I  am doing it again...for you.â
That was the most words he ever heard her say consecutively. âIâI donât understandââ he stuttered, a bit surprised by the content.Â
âI ran. I escaped. I came here toâŚto hide.â
Legolas tilted his head with his lips parted as he reached forward to brush away the water running down her cheek. He now knew what she was trying to say. â(Y/N),â he whispered.
She inhaled deeply. âIf they find me, they will send me back. Butâbut I dont care. I have you.â
With that, Legolas grasped her cheeks. â(Y/N), I will fight anyone, including the Valar, who tries to take you away.â He paused, just for a moment. âAnyone who tries to take you away from me. â
The Prince then slammed his lips against the winged womanâs. He held onto her tight as his one hand weaved its way into her hair. He presented more pressure upon that hand and the one around her waist to pull her towards him, almost frantically. Every ounce of his soul held onto her as their mouths melded togetherâinstantaneously, urgently. It was wet, it was rough, it was desperate.Â
He knew she was capable of emotion. He knew she was capable of more than the basics. She could feel it, live it, experience it. So much so that she could identify loveâŚin herself and in others.
The RĂĄmaite Mahtar were more than just warriors.
Legolas had known it all along and (Y/N) had just proved it to him.Â
He needed nothing more.
He could finally allow himself to love herâŚnot that he hadnât this entire time.

Okay, so its really late where I live and I got an intrusive thought. If Boromir survived, and would marry someone. Like who would he marry, what type of person would they be? What would they're love dynamic be like? Write in the comments, I would love to see your ideas â¤
