Maybe it's just me, but I honestly don't have a difficult time seeing Alastor as Persephone. I'm not sure I can explain it very eloquently. I had that common phase of being incredibly obsessed with Greek and Roman mythology though I haven't really looked at it in a good while. Some of it is purely aesthetic - Alastor being a seemingly delicate deer demon fits Persephone's role as a spring deity, while his everything else fits her association with the underworld - but I also think the reason it works for me is because of something Vivzie said about how Alastor is the type of person to have both a townhouse in the city and a hunting lodge out in the wilderness and felt equally at home in both settings. And something else I think I read in a book or learned in my Latin class about how in a much less technologically advanced world, forests and nature appeared much more sinister, even monstrous to humans, and nature-associated deities tended to reflect this. Including seemingly gentle gods like Persephone.

Congratulations, Anon, you just made me love Peresphone!Alastor even more and I didn't even think that was possible. I was already on board, why are trying to coax me in further.

I can totally see Alastor being comfortable with both a city and the wilderness. Him owning a hunting lodge makes so much sense to me. I've never pictured him as being strictly a city boy (Vox, on the other hand).

Also, nature and forests appearing more sinister and monstrous to humans 👁️👁️ nature associated deities, even the "softer" ones, reflecting that. Look, Persephone!Alastor already made so much sense to me, but you're making it make even more sense.

Alastor having the form of a deer, which are often depicted or seen as delicate and soft, as the god of spring, which is all about growth, new beginnings and rebirth, while still having his dark, murderous, and aggressive side. I love it. I love it so much.

Lego Monkie Kid Season 5 Talk

*Spoilers*

So I watched LMK season 5 as soon as there were english subs for them... And BOY does rewatching as the English dub change the experience.

I've watched so many miraculous ladybug episodes in French and felt satisfied I wasn't missing anything extra.

Lmk tho!!!! The sound effects feel different (I don't know if they are), the words are translated different and the VOICE ACTING!!!!

Damn the power these voice actors put into the characters are INSANE!!!

I felt so immersed and excited in episode 2. The extra sounds we don't think about from falling, hitting a wall or being in pain added so much for me ^-^

Macaque felt fairly dry and silent in the English sub but cool and mysterious as he always does in the English dub. He sighed more, made considering hums and scoffed when he turned away giving him a little more life. I heard his motif at badass moments and grinned as he quipped with Wukong.

Wukong's voice actor was popping off!! I only decided to re-watch lmk because I saw the post where he's screaming for MK to stop and not sacrifice himself (I'm not at that part yet but I'm so excited for that episode now :DD)

Throughout episode two Wukong flips character so many times. He's joking, serious, tired and hurt. We get such an amazing range of emotions from him and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing him on screen ^-^ <3

MK also has a surprising range because his character is going through a tired, scared and unenthused state at the moment.

I have so many posts lined up talking about lmk! :D They did such an amazing job at bringing the story to life and I'm excited to watch the other episodes!!!

I was greatly surprised at the different experience of watching sub vs dub. I can't wait to see what other differences are there!

Im emotional watching the final credits for dedsafio. What a beautiful event! I have no knowledge of this event until I saw that sapnap and sylvee were participating in it and I just had to check it out and I'm glad I did. It's been a joy to sit here and watch 30 days worth of content and to watch sapnap be adopted into team mafia. All the cool architecture, The cute otters, The different mini events and dungeons etc. I want to thank everyone that worked hard on making dedsafio happen. The Spanish community has been so welcoming to the few English speaking players. I hope to see more cool events like these again.

Also I may add, I don't know Spanish nor speak it but I still enjoyed the event despite the language barrier.

I just saw Mr. Right movie. Another great underrated story, I guess again some people didn't understand that this movie is absolutely impossible to take seriously (yes, that's what action comedies are for). Have you seen Sam Rockwell in this role? That guy is so cute and sexy at the same time. I have a real crush on him.
