actually i think people need to talk about loki's myth kids more because what is that. he's got one kid so fast he can run through the air/over water, he's got one that's prophesized to be able to swallow the sun, a daughter ruler of the death realm, one that grows so big they leave him in the ocean and he just. wraps around the entire planet. ???

Warrior cats makes me so mad because it could've been such a fascinating exploration of how fascism takes root in a society with pre-existing honor culture, corruption of laws, the long-lasting effects on society and individual people, generational trauma, questions of compliance, guilt, responsibility, historical revisionism and so many other themes if only the Erins weren't cowards and actually paid attention to what they write

#the clans' relatively simple structure and the cats' short lifespans allow to explore so much on a relatively short timespan #and this is a series that has been ongoing for TWENTY YEARS #it could've been a massive fucking cultural milestone with so much literary and societal value #but then you have the erins excusing the actions of the likes of leopardstar and blackstar and never addressing the fact that #in blindly obeying a dictator they are just as guilty. and just let them continue leading the clans without punishment #or how the reason so much of the crap that happens in the series is because of preexisting social structures and not a matter of #''the cat was already prophecized to be evil'' bullshit #or the whole question of religion and all that #fans who do rewrites that properly address these topics i am kissing you on the mouth #warrior cats

Amazing how Rhaegar spent his entire life mournfully reminiscing over Summerhall, only to completely miss the entire goddamn lesson to be learned from Summerhall.

I mean he really learned how his great grandfather killed half their family obsessing over prophetic dragon magic, then went and killed most of the other half by obsessing over prophetic dragon magic.

as of today i've completed all the prophecies in Hades on top of 100%ing all the steam achievements! yay!!!

#hades #i've had it 100%'d achievements for months now but i couldn't finish that friendly wager prophecy for the longest time #kinda surprised it isn't a steam achievement. but it isn't so i got 100% without it. but it always bothered me bcus it was the last prophec #i'd always have the worst luck for charon fights. and for a while i wasn't playing hades much either #but the hades 2 hype had me redownload it and it worked out and i finally beat charon twice in a row YAY #now i kinda wanna finally upgrade all the weapons fully and buy all the house of hades cosmetics and get to 32 heat #...that's gonna take me so long though #my txtstuff

That reminds me: wheel of time but Rand is trans and when he first manifests his ability to touch the one power he doesn't believe it's proof of him being the Dragon until Moiraine, with all the heaviness in her heart, tells him she couldn't sense his use of it, because he was pulling from saidin (the masculine half) rather than Saidar (the feminine)
